[S2]Overview:
Have no fair, we here at the newsletter are back after taking Christmas week off and we hope that all of our readers had a happy holiday. Unfortunately, or rather luckily, XWL doesn’t take weeks off, so it looks like we have some catching up to you. Don’t worry though, we went back and took a look at the SuperShow before X-treme X-mas and believe me when I say that there’s plenty to discuss when it comes to the way the last pay-per-view of the calendar played out.

[S3]Spotlight Article:
……….So is XWL really in a decline? Optimists — and the ever giddy who sing with the birds when they wake up and greet strangers on the street with a blinding smile and cheerful 'good-morning' — will be quick to call you silly for entertaining the idea and dismiss the thought immediately. On the other hand pessimists – you know the ones, with the permanent scowl on their faces and the stick stuck in their ass – will be the first to exclaim that the league has been dead for a while.

……….Is it merely a slump, then? It’s hard to call right now as the winter season gets everyone a little depressed. Let’s see if things heat up during the summer and then we can sit and have a nice chat over a plate of biscuits and cups of mint tea about the potential demise of XWL.

……….However, there is no denying that things have been a bit slow lately, and while the newsletter doesn’t hold the answers, we do have plenty of ideas – some worse that others – on how XWL can bring some excitement back to it.

XWL Newsletter 1/3: Time for a New Year's Feast Mizgirl
The fans just don’t have anything to be happy about these days.

……….One of our not-so-great-but-what-the-hell-we’ll-share-it-anyway ideas is bringing the Feast of Fired match into the company and seeing how things played out. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the match type: Feast or Fired simply sees four cases hung on four poles and superstars battle to get the prize and hope there’s something worthwhile inside. In other companies, the four case would hold three title opportunities, and one pink slip. Feast or Fired was the one match where you could win and still lose at the same time.

……….Why bring it to XWL? Because it’s different and because it’s exciting and because what XWL needs right now is for more superstars to be fired. I mean, isn’t that what we’ve all been clamoring for: novel ideas, excitement and rogue ex-contracted wrestlers? Feast or Fired offers all of that and then some. There’s a reason gambling can be such a vice for some people, there’s simply something about playing against the odds and having no control over if you win or lose that’s enticing and for many people it becomes an addiction.

……….For XWL superstars this match type will give them a chance to gamble with their careers, and isn’t that something they love to do already? They take gambles with not only their careers but their lives as well when they compete in some of the most brutal matches XWL has to offer and they all too often say that they’re willing to sacrifice it all to get the win.

XWL Newsletter 1/3: Time for a New Year's Feast Mick-Foley-flies1
Different people gamble in different ways.

……….Feast or Fired gives them the chance to gamble in a different way because three of those cases hold an opportunity of a lifetime while last one holds a ticket to the back of the unemployment line. This match would give superstars a chance to shine and step up and given a chance that they may not have gotten otherwise. Isn’t the surprise of a superstar coming out of nowhere what made Seth Rollins so compelling to watch during the King of the Ring? Feast or Fired could give us a new underdog to root for, not to mention that XWL could use a little more star power at the moment.

……….One of the immediate things that could make XWL hesitant to act on this would be the comparison to the Money in the Bank case and while the two match types are similar (in that they both have cases) there are enough similarities to differentiate the them both and making Feast or Fired worth the shot.

……….For one, a money in the bank briefcase grants the superstar the ability to challenge for the title anytime he – or she – sees fit between Final Stand pay-per-views. The contracts inside Feast or Fired cases offers immediate title shots either on the same night or the show after, as the match seeks to create an immediate shake up in the title scene. Not to mention that it doesn’t even have to be a case hanging from the rafters if XWL is that adamant about separating the two match types. They can hang a book bag with the contract inside, or even a plastic bag, hell they can just hang up a piece of paper with a number on it and give the superstar the corresponding contract afterwards. In a time when people are crying boredom and staleness, XWL can’t afford to remain stubbornly rooted in tradition. There’s something that can be said for a company that can evolve with the times, and something that can also be said for one that gets left in the dust. From a purely business standpoint, XWL probably doesn’t want to be the latter.

XWL Newsletter 1/3: Time for a New Year's Feast Shouting_Triple_H_POST_OF_EXTREME_ANGER_AND_HATE-s451x345-174863-580
Triple H’s reaction when Santino wins a shot at his title.

……….So how would Feast or Fired work in an XWL environment exactly? Well you take four willing, risk-taking, superstars and put them in what’s essentially a ladder match. Up above hangs four – we’ll just call them cases – from the ceiling. Superstars battle to scale the ladder and grab one of the four cases unsure of what’s inside. Once all four superstars have a case, they open it up so that the contract inside is revealed to them. One could contain a shot at The World Title, another giving a superstar a choice to challenge for either of the Mid-card titles, and the third case will hold a pink-slip announcing that a superstar has been fired. If XWL is too scared to pull the trigger and actually let go of one of their stars, they can be sentenced to a multi-week or month suspension instead.

………. The final case will be the wild-card as it could hold XWL wants it to. It could be completely empty, it could hold a chance to be GM for a day or hold a paid vacation. It’s XWL’s surprise to announce if they ever decide to go through with the match. The company has taken risks before, so there’s no reason to stop trying now. Feast or Fired may not be the exact answer to XWL’s problems, but it’s a better solution than nothing at all.

[S4]Feud Updates
Who’s been getting on each other’s nerves lately?

Eddie Guerrero vs. Stone Cold
Stone Cold and Eddie both made their long awaited returns to XWL; however, things took a turn for the worst. A turn that saw Guerrero put away Stone Cold with his own finishing move, for reasons still unclear.

Nikki Bella vs. MsChif
MsChif was able to put away Nikki after a brutal match that saw these two women brawl inside a locked room and when the dust settles we’ll see whose career goes where in the weeks after.

Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler
A fork to the forehead saw enabled Dolph to get the win in a first blood match thought Ambrose’s vicious assault on his former friend means that this is far from over. Ziggler has placed a bounty on Ambrose and all that’s left to do is wait and see who sets up and goes for the money.

Carlito vs. MVP
Carlito left MVP battered inside of a janitor’s closet after attacking the Ballin’ Superstar who showed up to quell any hopes of a match between the two. If Carltio didn’t have MVP’s attention before, he certainly has it now but the man from the Caribbean should be careful what he wishes for.

Alicia Fox vs. Paige
Their match ended in a draw which means that there’s plenty left to be settled between the two. They appeared to be evenly matched though each will probably claim that the match was theirs to win.

CM Punk vs. Vince McMahon
Punk was fired, that was the highlight of this segment that left the XWL Universe buzzing. Punk didn’t make a career out of remaining silent but it’s hard to imagine how he’ll be able to talk his way out of his jam.

John Morrison vs. Christian
Christian knocked out the Intercontinental Champsion a week prior but just couldn’t find a way to capitalize when the two squared off at the PPV. Christian’s hopes for a title shot may have just been shot down, though being best friends with Edge means that he must have something up his sleeve.

Mankind vs. The Rock
These two men gave it their all but just like at November to Remember nobody was able to stand tall at the end. However, in both instances it was The Rock who got the last laugh and The Great One may be finally realizing what he may need to do to get rid of Mankind for good.

Brie Bella vs. Kaitlyn
The title match ended in a bit of controversy and Kaitlyn’s goal to beat Brie decisively may have back-fired as it looked like both men had a legitimate claim for the belt. Let’s not forget that The Bellas were seen trying to seduce Johnny Ace backstage, which means there’s still more to come in this rivalry.

Layla vs. Beth Phoenix
Both women had some strong words for the other before their match up but when it was all said and done Beth Phoenix was the one able to back up everything she said. Though, if Layla can still stand then The Glamazon isn’t quite done with her yet.

Shawn Michaels vs. Ted DiBiase
He may have needed the help of Vickie Guerrero to get him over that final hump, but in the end HBK defeated DiBiase and XWL continues to remain Ted-free. But the loose security over the weeks and Ted’s recent personality change have hinted at the fact that this war has only begun.

[S5] Newsletter Commentary
We give our thoughts on the segments that graced our televisions this week.

From the SuperShow
Dean Ambrose
Ambrose has continued his run as a sadistic son of a bitch with this great promo that had to have sent chills up Dolph Ziggler’s spine. Ambrose is promising to end careers like he nearly ended the life of that drug dealer – another engrossing and disturbing tale of revenge – from Ambrose. While I’ve been itching to see the two men get within arm’s reach of each other again, the wait has been just as good and I hope the payoff delivers.

Carlito
While not as smooth as it could be, Carlito is continuing to build on his rebirth in XWL as now he has someone to divert his frustrations on instead of the people which lead to this entertaining segment. I did have to take a moment to figure out what kind of sick person walks into someone’s house just to relieve themselves on their Christmas tree, but if Carlito says that those kind of things happen then I’ll take his word for it. The picture was great too in a “damn, that’s a pretty bad picture” kind of way and it appears that the man who oozes cool is out to make a statement out of the ring (as his win streak continues) by destroying MVP’s chains and showing the ballin’ superstar that they still have unfinished business.

Chris Sabin
A nice callback by Sabin to the time when there were two tag teams in XWL by bringing up the rivalry with the Kings of Wrestling and the events that paved the way for Generation-Next to start up. Sabin’s in rare form here, no jokes, no props, no Shelley by his said to deliver a heartfelt segment where he vowed to get revenge and tie up some lose ends before the Machine Guns move forward.

Shawn Michaels/Ted DiBiase
Well of course Santa wasn’t going to give you what you wanted, Michaels. You have to sit on his lap and offer him some cookies and a glass of cold milk before you can get anything out of Saint Nick. It also didn’t help that it wasn’t really Santa and what are the odds that it was the ever elusive Ted DiBiase under that outfit? It was a solid twist which led to some great trash talking between the two men as they compared accomplishments, insults and ageist remarks until Hogan came out and saved the day. Maybe Mick Foley’s firing was needed because poor Johnny Curtis didn’t have things this easy, though Shawn has proved that he still can go by defeating the just-as-young stud Dolph Ziggler so DiBiase’s really going to have to work if he wants his job back.

Jeff Hardy
A rousing speech from Hardy certainly got the people hyped up as he vowed to be the United States Champion that they deserve. And while things got cut short by an eager Alberto Del Rio who wanted nothing more than to pick up a quick win over the Champion to get his career back on the right path. While Wade Barrett ruined those chances, it did lead to an amusing confrontation between Ricardo and Ezekiel Jackson who appears to be next in line for a title shot. The idea of both Mid-Card titles being up for grabs by anyone on either brand does open up some doors and it should be interesting to see where this goes.

John Morrison
So we have John Morrison here pretending his feelings weren’t hurt that his partnership with Damien Sandow disintegrated and then came Seth Rollins trying to pretend he wasn’t hurt that his rise to the top suddenly ended when he fell off. And while a win here could have certainly helped get Seth back on tract he couldn’t quite get it done and now it looks like someone else has their sights set on the Intercontinental Championship.

The Miz
The Miz crying conspiracy wasn’t the way I was expecting him to go about explaining his loss to Chris Jericho, but just like Matt Striker I’m not going to argue with a man so set on believing what he does. Instead I’ll say that The Miz isn’t looking too shabby after putting away Ziggler and he has managed to remain intense and in focus and perhaps Miz’s XWL Title defeat was just a roadblock as he continues his trek to the top.

Layla/Beth Phoenix
Did we go from Seattle to Canada during the commercial break? That was odd, though this segment more than made up for the confusion. Layla and Beth are finally face to face in the ring with microphones in hand and neither hold back as they verbally tear each other apart from the way they look to the nobodies they’ve beaten and lost to. Things escalated quickly with Beth looking to put Layla through a table and while we were all looking forward to seeing Layla get thrown through, the former Divas Champ showed a bit of her crafty side setting up what should be an exciting Tables Match at X-Treme X-mas.

Madison Eagles
It’s all about her! While the self-proclaimed ‘best in the world’ when it comes to women’s wrestling (or did she mean both genders?) hasn’t skyrocketed to the top like she feels someone with her talents should have, she’s certainly no slouch setting down the women who ended Layla’s title reign and if she can put away the current champ then we’d have no choice but to start listening to what she’s saying.

Kaitlyn
The real highlight here was Kaitlyn announcing that she and Brie will be settling their differences in a steel cage match which is something that you don’t see in women’s wrestling all too often. Kaitlyn essentially dismissed all of Brie’s claims of being robbed by saying that Brie is actually scared of facing her one on one which doesn’t appear to be too far off as Nikki is almost never far behind.

Mankind/The Rock
You’d think Mankind would be bald by now with the way he keeps ripping out hair and I was surprised The Rock didn’t follow suit after briefly sinking down to Mankind’s level and striking himself with a microphone. That’s what Rocky has to resort to when dealing with someone as sick and twisted as his old friend Mankind, because you won’t make it out alive if you try to reason with him. Mankind again reiterated the idea that Rock is to blame for his downfall and for that Mankind swears that he will beat The Rock so badly that The Great One will be forced to quit him front of his millions (and millions) of cheering fans live on pay per view. And if you were just going by the way The Rock acted in this segment for a brief moment you would think that he was taking Mankind lightly, but Rock showed as this segment went on that he’d just as soon crack a joke as he would crack you over the head with his fist and with these two grown men being filled with pride and being driven by their egos it’ll be hard for me to envision either one of them quitting.

Ezekiel Jackson
Ezekiel Jackson has grown soft, accepting the fans and showing his sportsman side, and it seems though he’s still willing to bulldoze through his opponents in the ring. Big Zeke is quite happy that he’s already back on the championship path after weeks of nothing and time will tell if he’ll be able to make the most of the chance he’s been given.

Chris Jericho
Something tells me that Jericho congratulating Triple H on his victory wasn’t really that sincere. Maybe it was the fact that the XWL Champion went on to dismiss Triple H’s opponent as a joke and Y2J ensured us that the Era of Chris Jericho is all but inevitable. Triple H was too busy celebrating his victory to entertain Jericho with a response, so we’ll just have to wait until the pay-per-view to see what’s brewing inside of the mind of the Cerebral Assassin.

X-treme X-mas
Madison Eagles
Here on the pre-show Madison Eagles is continuing to boast though it’s hard to knock her for it as she continues to back up her win and beating the current Divas champ is definitely something you want the world to know that you did. Eagles also appears to have a chip on her shoulder over the fact that she may not be as well-known as the other women in XWL, though she won’t remain under the radar for too long at the rate she’s going.

Yoshi Tatsu
It was different, it was amusing, it was confusing, it was… Yoshi Tatsu playing with an action figure of himself backstage. You can’t help but feel the pain of the backstage worker who was merely trying to go about her business and at the same time I’m glad that I hopefully never have to go through something like that.

Triple H
With one of the biggest matches of his career hours away, The Game makes it clear, or rather guaran-damn-tees, that this will be his night and his year will end on a high note after everything he’s been through since Final Stand.

Dolph Ziggler/Dean Ambrose
And just like that Ambrose gets the match against Dolph he’s been waiting for, but not before sending a message to The Show-Off with their First Blood match just moments away. Ambrose has the advantage, and he has his rival right where he wants it and this could very well be Dolph’s last match if he isn’t careful.

Curt Hawkins
Hawkins is back in XWL! And just like he and his buddy Tyler Reks are gone thanks to Hulk Hogan and now we may never see those two clowns again.

Ted DiBiase
DiBiase has decided to go super serious on us shedding his old jolly personality for one a bit rougher around the edges after the things he’s had to endure over the weeks, along with losing his job and being the punch line to everyone’s jokes. Ted had a lot to say about the wrongs committed against him, yet had nothing to say about the man who has fought against him recently, Shawn Michaels. Instead, his simple demonstration spoke volumes about the way DiBiase views the Heartbreak Kid.

The Bella Twins
Brie and Nikki have a personal chat with a tiger in their bid to get onto Santa’s ‘nice’ list though it’ll take a lot more than saying please to undo everything they’ve done throughout the latter half of the year alone. Both of the Bellas are competing in big matches tonight that they need to win if they want 2013 to be a good year for them. One’s dealing with a wicked witch, the other with an evil bitch and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them try to work together to ensure that this is a night to remember for them.

Stone Cold/Eddie Guerrero
Two guys who haven’t been seen in XWL for quite some time have made their way back and things quickly took a turn for the worst. A seemingly paranoid Eddie landed the first blow in fear that Austin was gearing up to do something similar and now the man who’s made his career lying, cheating and stealing has turned his back on the fans while at the same time has made an enemy out of a very dangerous man.

Dolph Ziggler
We all thought Vickie was just agreeing to Ambrose’s demands to get Ziggler to safety, but it appears that the match is going to happen against Ziggler’s wishes and now he’ll have to deal with the psycho Ambrose in a match where anything goes. Things aren’t looking too good for Dolph right now, but when there’s a will there’s a way…

The Hurricane
Our hero has returned and we may very well be in store for a justice-filled 2013 which would be a nice change of pace after all the unjust things that have occurred in XWL this year. Hurricane and Gregory Helms provided an entertaining interview segment and I truly hope that whoever Hurricane rushed off to save will be okay.

John Morrison
Morrison continues to grow into his own after being sidetracked by Damien Sandow and this interview was able to give us an inside glimpse at the thought process of the current Intercontinental Champion. JoMo is looking at everything that has happened to him as a growing process has he learned enough to defeat Christian? That’s the question that will be answered when the two square off in extreme rules later tonight.

Carlito
Carlito clearly wasn’t in a playing mood as he viciously assaulted MVP backstage who once again interrupted Carlito’s interview time to let the man from the Caribbean know that a match between the other two was simply out of the question. However, Carlito wasn’t in a discussing mood and he sent a powerful message to MVP leaving him bloodied and battered in the janitor’s closet. There’s no way that MVP won’t want to get revenge on Carlito now and we’ll have to see how he goes about doing just that.

The Miz
Another solid promo from Miz who’s doing his best to show the world that he’s still relevant in XWL. Now while I had a hard time shaking the image of Miz sharing a bowl with Hogan’s dog, The most must-see superstar in XWL left the impression that he would be a force in the coming weeks.

Alicia Fox/Dean Ambrose
Fox didn’t seem to be in a joking mood, dubbing 2013 the Year of the Fox and stating that a victory over Paige will be the way she’ll kick things off. Referring to her match against Brie as a handicap match was one of the sly and sharp remarks we’ve come to expect from Fox as was her snapping The Prime Time Players back to attention. Fox could become a threat for the belt, we just have to wait and see what she does after this feud with Paige. Ambrose’s sudden appearance was a surprise though his attack on Sami was something that we’ve come to expect from him. His words have to had put Ziggler at unease and Ambrose seems like the kind of guy who you don’t want hunting you down.

Dolph Ziggler
It was nice of Ziggler to make Ambrose feel at home by putting a bounty on his head and it will make for some great television as we watch Ambrose fend off potential quarter-millionaires. This already entertaining feud has been taken to a higher level that I hope it remains at.

Paige
Paige continues to be set on breaking the Barbie doll that she believes Alicia Fox to be. Paige continuing to underrate her rival could be what comes back to bite her, or if she goes on to defeat Fox we’ll see that she properly rated her opponent as somebody beneath her. Paige’s training may give her the edge in the ring, but it’s also given her an ego and there’ll be a lot of women lining up to knock her down a peg.

Jeff Hardy
Hardy doesn’t claim to be perfect but he certainly appears that way in the eyes of the people he says he’s fighting to entertain. Hardy is promising extreme, he’s promising a new era for the United States Championship, and if he delivers then it’ll be a reign to remember, if not then we can only worry about ‘What could have been.’

The Undertaker
Hopefully The Undertaker will stick around for a good long run this time instead of giving us what we’re used to seeing out of him. He’s back to claim his yard and he put three of the biggest names right now in XWL on notice, and The Deadman does have some unfinished business with several people backstage. He’s not here to be the people’s hero either it seems, but mere words aren’t going to get the most hardcore fans to stop cheering their childhood idol. He’s going to have to be truly vicious and not show a drop of mercy to anyone he stands across the ring from.

Curt Hawkins
Hawkins made some big threats just recently, and I can’t wait to see him rise up and stick it to the Hulkster or crash and burn and disappear for another couple of months. Either way, Hawkins trying to find his way to Breakdown should be a fun watch.

CM Punk
I certainly didn’t see that coming, and judging from the look on CM Punk’s face alone he didn’t see it coming either, and just like that we won’t be seeing any pipebombs on XWL tv. Or will we? Recent shenanigans have shown us that it’s not too hard for superstars to find their way into an XWL arena, but Vince McMahon is an entirely different beast than Vickie Guerrero or Hulk Hogan and we’ve what he’s done to Punk in the past and The Best in the World’s future isn’t looking too bright right now.

Beth Phoenix
Maybe Beth did have a right to be annoyed at the questions she was asked, but there’s no denying that Layla has the advantage heading into their match after putting Beth through a table. Beth is dominant, she’s powerful and this promo shows that she knows it and isn’t afraid to use it to her advantage. Beth looks down on the other women for not being on her level and this promo showed that mean and angry side bubbling just under the surface.

John Morrison
Much to the dismay of the ladies, Morrison had his shirt on in this segment, though he match wasn’t too far away so that problem would get remedied quickly. It’s good to see that JoMo found a new love in Melina after getting his heart broken by Sandow and her words of encouragement were touching as was Morrison’s speech on being a good champion. Hopefully tantalizing thoughts of Melina doesn’t distract him during the match and he can get his measure of revenge against Christian.

Layla
Almost the exact opposite of her opponent is the bragalicious Layla who’ll never hesitate to tell you about her accomplishments, and boy does she like to talk about her accomplishments. It seemed like Layla was in her usual form, confident bordering on cocky until we got to the end where she appeared more than shaken which is something we don’t see too often. Now I’m left wondering how much of Layla has been an act now that we potentially caught a glimpse of what she truly thinks of Beth.

Ezekiel Jackson
Big Zeke won a big match and he may be moving up on to big things securing another singles title in his career. We’ll have to see how Jackson goes about this run and hopefully it’s the best he’s ever had.

Kevin Steen
Well damn, Steen certainly switched things up around XWL when he just about paralyzed Hulk Hogan with a package piledriver. With his profanity-laced message to XWL while being carried out of the arena, one has to wonder what Steen will have in store next because that just can’t be the last we see of him.

The Bella Twins
Now while nobody likes a whiner, nobody likes a draw either, and it does seem fair that Brie should get another look at the title in a match that hopefully has a clear-cut winner, though there are better ways to go about things than sucking up to John Laurinaitis.

Shawn Michaels
The Superstar of the Year and Vickie Guerrero were spotted blotting backstage and HBK’s parting words to Vickie had me feeling that their partnership isn’t over yet and I’m starting to wonder just how dangerous these two will be together.

[S6]Rumor Mill
The top stories being talked about around the water cooler.
Side-job advantage
One of our sources has claimed to have seen Beth Phoenix working at a construction site over the weekend though Beth threatened to hurt us when we asked her about it. This rumor would explain how Beth got so muscular and why she’s so good with lumber and wood.

The Jobless Unite
A source close to us has stated that rumblings of a faction between all the superstars who have recently been denied a job in XWL are beginning to be heard. Curt Hawkins, CM Punk, Kevin Steen, Ted DiBiase and maybe even Johnny Curtis could potentially be plotting a hostile takeover of XWL sometime in the near future.

Rich overnight?
News of Dolph Ziggler’s bounty has most likely made many people very happy. However, we caught wind that Ziggler may have acquired his money in a not so legal way whether it be through gambling, prostitution, or one of the other things Ziggler is good at and we’ll attempt to get in contact with The Showoff to get his reaction to the news.

Back to old habits?
Jeff Hardy may never be able to live down missing his Swanton Bomb that led to him losing his United Stated championship, and it may only get worse as the newsletter was informed that Hardy’s drug use may have cause the giant miss. While Hardy claims to be clean and sober, he didn’t respond to our requests to comment which leads us to wonder what he has to hide.

[S7]Interview:
Come back next week when we sit down and talk to the lovely Bella Twins!

[S8]The Stars Speak Out
The other week we asked the stars what they wanted most for Christmas. I wonder if they got what they wished for? Hopefully they did or 2013 will be off to a bad start for them and the last thing we want is to have to interview wrestlers in a bad mood.

XWL Newsletter 1/3: Time for a New Year's Feast GRysm

Mankind: What do I want for Christmas? I want a white christmas, I want to hear sleighbells ringing, I want to see parents out on the streets making Snowmen and Snow Angels, I want to smell chestnuts roasting on an open fire! I want to hear and see the joy of children everywhere enjoying the festivities... and then I want them to turn in horror as their favourite son The Rock gets beaten to a pulp at the hands of myself, I want his blood to stain the snow red, and I want to hear the screams from each and every one of his millions of millions of fans around the world witness his destruction first hand! And who will be the one handing him that beating, me of course! Ho, Ho... Ho! Merry Christmas everyone... And a happy new year...

XWL Newsletter 1/3: Time for a New Year's Feast Normal_9C1D67B2_videoplayback_wmv_000001634

[Brie Bella]: What do I want for Christmas? Hmmmm, all the possibilities. Well for one, I want that Divas Championship, I would love to bring it back to Scottsdale to show off to my family. I would also love love love a to be under the mistletoe with a very special superstar *Brie begins to blush* I rather not say at this time but to give you a hint, he's a Vegan and our intials are close. Oh, I forgot, one last thing I want for Christmas is for Kailtyn to get a sock full of coal, well coal is too good for her, how about a sock full of pebbles?

[Nikki Bella]: I want MsChif to leave me the hell alone for Christmas, I really wonder how she spends her holiday, she probably sits all alone in the dark as all the little children play in the snow outside. I bet her childhood sucked, ugh, what a loser. Also, I really want a iPhone 5 for Christmas, my iPhone 4s dropped yesterday and now it has a crack. Poor me.

{Yoshi Tatsu}
What Yoshi want for Christmas?

He places his hand on his chin and thinks for a few seconds before raising his finger up in the air with an excited look on his face.

{Yoshi Tatsu}
I know! Ask him yourself!

Yoshi then looks down, and our cameras follow his eyes to the floor where an action figure of Yoshi Tatsu is leaned against a wall. Absolute silence follows, we look back to the actual Yoshi smiling widely looking down at his figure and then back up at the cameras before we fade away just seconds later.

Madison Eagles: I want people to start taking me seriously. What do I have to do for people to start taking notice that Madison Eagles is here and she's here for good. Or a Starbucks gift card, I like coffee. Either of those would be nice.

[S10]Winners & Losers
Here we take a closer look at three superstars who did pretty well for themselves and three who probably couldn’t wait for the week to be over.

Winners
Triple H- Triple H was able to do just what he set out to do at X-treme X-mas and that was defeat Chris Jericho and become the first ever Undisputed Champion in XWL history. This is just another milestone in what has been a stellar comeback run by The Game since returning at Final Stand.

Dolph Ziggler-Karma came back to bite Ambrose, and Ziggler was able to reap the benefits. Ziggler was then able to take advantage of the fact that there are most likely plenty of people waiting to get their hands on Dean by placing a bounty on his head showing just how crafty he can be in the name of survival.

John Morrison- JoMo got some payback on Christian by defeating Captain Charisma in a non-title match. JoMo showed that he hasn’t slowed down after Saviors of Society, not to mention the fact that he got to go home with Melina which ain’t too shabby either.

Losers
CM Punk- McMahon called Punk’s bluff and fired The Straightedge Superstar on the spot and just like that Punk has been bested by Vince just like he was bested time and time again by The Corporation over the year and it seems that Punk has yet to learn that Mr. McMahon is not a punching bag.

Ted DiBiase- We hate to do this but DiBiase did fail at his goal of becoming an XWL superstar again, even though he did have number against him. DiBiase hasn’t had a good couple of months, much less a week, and the events of the pay-per-view just added salt to the wound.

AJ Lee & Eve- After building up their match over the weeks between a psychopath and a cocky chcick, these two women were nowhere to be seen at X-treme X-mas ruining my holiday spirits and giving the men a little less to enjoy.

[S11]Win or Go Home
Win or Go Home is a game where you draft a team, and then select which member of your squad will compete for you in a particular round. If your team member loses, he’s eliminated, although there’s a redemption match at the end of each round featuring every superstar who lost that round and the winner avoids elimination. Match types and size vary each round and the winner is the last team standing. It’s a pretty simple game where most of the work you do is drafting and choosing who represents your team in a particular round.

1. Shuggz
2. Sdogg
3. Ash
4. Zander
5. Stay
6. Zack
7. Big Bobby Lashley
8. Pats
(9-12)

[S12] Wrap Up
If you want to be interviewed, have any questions or suggestions or just want to shower me with praise, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Also, for some reason I only just realized that this is essentially a giant wall of text, so I’ll be looking to throw in more graphics in the future editions.
