[S2]Overview Ah yes, August is quickly approaching and what you’re reading is one of the final three newsletters for the summer, and as the biggest Pay Per View of the summer in Supremacy draws near we have plenty to look forward to in the XWL Universe. A new championship has been announced and the finals of the King of the Ring tournament are right around the corner.
[S3]Spotlight: What the XWL Title Means for XWL
……….My twitter blew up the other day with many of my followers telling me there was big news on XWL.com for me to check out. I was sitting there thinking it was just an announcement of a hiring or firing, and I took my time navigating over to the website because after the stellar runs of guys like Kenneth Cameron, Mr. Anderson and Big Show lately, I wasn’t too eager to see who the next dud would be. However, what I saw caught me completely off guard as the last thing I expected XWL to do was add another title when they have two ailing belts in the XWL 15 Medal and X-Treme Title, but I guess the cure for saving forsaken belts is… more belts! In any case, the announcement of a new title for the big players in XWL was rather interesting news, and while it has potential to be big, there are also just as many things that could keep it from having the impact that XWL management is hoping it will.
……….The first thing that came to mind was the question of who would be challenging for the belt once it gets instated. There were guys like Antonio Cesaro and Curt Hawkins getting back to back shots to be number one contender for the United States and Intercontinental Championships respectively a few weeks ago, yet now there’s suddenly enough main eventers to warrant a second world title when they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel repeatedly to find people to compete for the mid card titles? I hope XWL is doing what it can to build up more stars as quickly as they can because, assuming Breakdown gets the belt, having Shawn Michaels and Edge play hot potato with it for the foreseeable future isn’t as appealing as it may look on paper.
Is two really better than one?
……….The issue with there being two gold medals instead of one is that people can possibly become content with not working as hard to come first as they’ll still be rewarded regardless. The example brought up earlier with Cesaro and Hawkins who lost their number one contender’s matches and were rewarded with another shortly thereafter is proof as is Michael McGillicutty who would have put in more effort than he did when he was going after the World Championship if he didn’t have his money in the bank briefcase to fall back on. It’s also being seen with the gimmick titles where some like Mr. Fn can disappear from TV for weeks and be rewarded with a title match for his troubles. The XWL title would feature a higher tier of challengers, sure, but when the waiting line for the belt is as short as it’s expected to be, then there’s really no need to try as hard when there’s another opportunity waiting right around the corner.
………. A rather pessimistic view it is, especially when you consider that guys would give it their all when given the opportunity to challenge for a title. So maybe none of what I said will happen and the XWL title will go to be a success in this company. I’ll be looking forward to seeing how it does, and I know the fans are as will be as well. All we can do now is speculate as it’s truly up to time, and the XWL superstars to determine its success.
[S4]Feud Updates Who’s been getting on each other’s nerves lately? Curt Hawkins vs. Eve Torres Hawkins has threatened to leave Redemption of Eve doesn’t respond to him. Will he stay true to his word?
Joey Ryan vs. AJ Styles Styles wanted one more match, but Ryan shut him down. Is that the end of this feud?
Christian vs. Eve Torres The two had another heated argument and they don’t seem to be done with each other at all.
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar Lesnar is still nowhere to be seen and Triple H is getting antsy. How long will Heyman continue to be the mouthpiece?
Layla vs. Michelle McCool It was announced that these two will go head to head again at Supremacy with the title on the line. Michelle believes there will be a chance for everything to be smoothed over, while Layla wants to send a message.
Paige vs. ??? Paige was once again a victim as a liquid dripped down from the ceiling. Who is the woman responsible and when she show herself?
Maryse vs. Kharma Kharma once again showed up, but McGillicutty sacrificed himself. How much longer can Maryse keep fighting?
Michael McGillicutty vs. Daniel Bryan McGillicutty hinted at a possible match between the two at Supremacy. Will that be the night he gets his revenge?
Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton Ziggler floored Orton with a sickening chair shot and things seem to be going in The Showoff’s favor.
Joey Ryan vs. AJ Styles Styles made the announcement that at Supremacy he will put his career on the line, and Joey graciously accepted. Will this be the last we see of AJ Styles?
Alex Shelley vs. Kings of Wrestling Shelley was jumped in the cafeteria, and then again in the ring. Is this numbers game too much?
Ted DiBiase vs. Edge DiBiase made it clear that Edge wouldn’t end his reign and Edge responded by knocking a door into the champ’s face. How long will it take before things escalate?
[S5]Diva’s Corner Quick peak at what the Divas have been up to. *Eve has been hard at work this week butting heads with a few superstars one of them being Layla who defeated Angelina Love later on in the night.
*Buggy Nova made her debut and she promises to be something special and to do some special things.
*Paige had some more words for the ‘divas’ and her match was cut short by some mysterious liquid that came down from the ceiling.
*Maryse fell to Velvet Sky and to make her night worse she was haunted by a mysterious message afterwards.
*Beth Phoenix has made it clear that the past is the past and that the only thing that matters is what she’s going to do in the future, and her plan is the secure the divas championship. She went on to defeat Kaitlyn and after the match AJ continued to play her mind games.
[S6] Newsletter Commentary One of our editors takes a look at the segments of both brands and tells us what he thought of them. Redemption Curt Hawkins Expected more from an opening, but this was good for what is was and had me interested to see if Eve plays along.
Joey Ryan Enjoyed the promo, and love the fact that Ryan’s going to be walking around with pornstars from now on.
Christian/Eve Was another good promo between you two.
Eve/Layla Two girls trying hard to out bitch each other was a good read.
John Cena Don’t mention Chavo’s name again.
Eve Like how Eve told off Hawkins and couldn’t care less what he decides to do.
Austin Aries Loved Aries’ attitude in this interview and the hype you’ve been creating with this invitational.
Triple H Paul really made this promo for me, loved his lines in this.
Buggy Nova Great promo and it looks like Nova will be a nice character to have around if she’s active.
Big Show It was a good effort.
Michael McGillicutty/Christian Enjoyed this seg, and it was a good way to hype up the match later in the night.
Randy Orton/Dolph Ziggler Nice way to keep the feud going. Wonder what’ll happen when Randy starts getting his way.
Sheamus If you wanted it to be longer you could have trashed the X-treme title some more.
AJ Styles/Joey Ryan Styles putting his career on the line shows how serious he is and how much Ryan beating him as got in his head.
Cody Rhodes When I saw a Cody promo I knew I was at the end of the show, was a good read and some interesting developments occurred.
Breakdown Danien Sandow Was a good promo and you’re exceeding expectations as Sandow.
Chris Jericho No damnit, stay out the chamber.
Drew McIntyre Didn’t really feel like a Drew promo other than when you said he’s the chosen one.
Ted DiBiase bah gawd another interview
Shawn Michaels !
Enjoyed the promo like the others and HBK’s thoughts about how the new belt should be handed to him was great.
The Miz/Rock The banter between you two made this a great read and a great promo.
Random People/Matt Morgan Just realized that Show no-sold your attack on Redemption. Was an interesting seg, things make a little more sense.
Antonio Cesaro Nice short n’ sweet seg, insulted Americans and called out HBK.
Bray Wyatt Was an alright seg, nothing really stood out.

[S9]Rumor Mill/Inside Scoop The top stories floating about the water cooler. Gone and quickly forgotten. It is reported that either the X-Treme or XWL 15 titles will be gone to accommodate for the lack of interest regarding both belts.
All is not what they seem. Rumor has it that Joey Ryan paid the ‘pornstars’ to stand by him and make him look cool.
It’s a shame when no one cares. It is being reported that no superstar has responded to Austin Aries’ open invitation and now the greatest man that ever lived is scrambling to find 3 people.
Miz is reportedly upset with the lack of buzz his role in The Marine 3 has generated and threw a fit when he asked around and realized some people haven’t heard of the movie.
Something special on the horizon. It is reported that brand vs. brand is in the works, and whether it’ll be at Supremacy or its own Supershow has yet to be seen.
One foot out the door. Maryse is reportedly not happy with the lack of action taken against Kharma and is ready to quit if the problem isn’t taken care of.

Joey Ryan Lights…Camera’s…Action! Hello, XWL newsletter. It’s everyone’s favourite superstar, Joey Ryan. I’ve decided that I am not only going to answer this weeks question in the style which only Joey Ryan can but I am going to prove a point. In the months this newsletter has been going the workers have been begging Joey Ryan to go on and do a segment but I declined. Do you want to know why? Because I am better than that. Joey Ryan only goes on magazines or videos for quality companies. You see I am the fastest rising star XWL has ever seen. Cheap newsletters which go out to the corporate middle-aged balding, overweight fans is not the type of publicity Joey Ryan goes after but it is the type which follows me. Now I am going to answer the question and I am actually going to make sure this newsletter means something you see this is the point Joey Ryan is going to prove. I am going to make sure this newsletter is Hollywood quality not for anyone else, not for the segments nobody cares about but for the man with ROCKSTAR CHARISMA…the man with MOVIE STAR GOOD LOOKS…and the man who is BRINGING SLEAZY BACK TO XWL!
Joey Ryan Now being here with my two biggest fans I thought this was the perfect time to answer such a question you see wherever I travel there is always a group of Joey Ryan sleazeballs who want to meet me. You have the dedicated indy fans who have followed me throughout my career who want a photo or an autograph. You have the fans who just want to give me abuse and wouldn’t hesitate in trying to punch me and then you have my favourite fans and they are the women. The one’s who love Joey Ryan and want to see more than what they see in the ring. Those fans are the ones I interact with and give personal moustache rides too. Just look at the two women next to me, two beautiful porn girls. Who dosen’t want to hang around with porn girls right? Joey Ryan is living the dream because the fans I meet want a night with Joey Ryan and who could blame them? Now get out of my face.
[The Miz] Weirdest interaction that doesn't involve Johnny Curtis? I remember a couple months back during my injury, I had a lot more time to browse twitter and things like that inbetween physio since I wasn't on the road. I noticed this one person who sent me tweet after tweet telling me that they needed me to follow them, after a while I gave in and followed them and they sent me this long private message about how bad they wanted to be with me. I just blocked them right away, I thought it was so weird. You get some weird fans in this business. But then somehow the woman found out my email address and kept on e-mailing me next, and then my phone number. I had to change my number twice so she would get the message that I don't wanna hook up with her.. It was a full on stalker problem and I didn't like it one bit.
[Cameraman] Wow.. Did you ever find out who it was?
[The Miz] Maryse.
{Ted DiBiase} The coolest interaction I've ever had with a fan has to be the night me and The Rock brawled all out the way out into the streets of new york. He had stolen this guy's car to get away from me, and well, damn did I ever feel bad...he was fighting with his girl, his car had just been stolen, he was gonna lose his job, his mother in a law was a real...peach...I felt so bad for him so even though I was still in KILL ROCK mode, I had to do something. So I grabbed his phone and rang his girl, after a few times she finally answered, heard my voice, oddly recognized me, mind you this is before I became World Heavyweight Champion so that kinda surprised me....but what surprised me the most was when she screamed right through the phone, my eardrum will never be the same...anyways, I explained the situation, they made up, I decided right then and there I had to do something extra special because I really felt for these two, I mean we didn't know what kind of shape that car would be in when it was returned, I've partied with The Rock before, they would've been lucky if they got the steering wheel back! So I told them they'll get a new car on me! But that's not what makes this experience so cool, because this little lady finally is like, can you put him on speaker phone? Well, I'll admit, it took me a few times, and I may have accidentally hung on her once....or twice....BUT! When I finally got it right, she revealed the news that she was....PREGNANT! Can you believe that? I got to experience some of the best news a man can hear front row and center, it was just unbelievable and I'll never forget it. What started out as the worst, soon ended as the best night of that man's life, and I was honored to be apart of it.
[John Cena] The weirdest interaction I've had with a fan.. Well, I actually had a stalker. It started when I was making my entrance at one of the house shows for WWE back in about.. I can't remember, maybe around 2005. Anyways, she sat there and I noticed her staring unusually at me and then the next night at another house show halfway across the country, I noticed the same person... Then live that week at RAW I saw the same girl staring at me as I entered on RAW and I didn't really know what to think... It was when I was walking to the car that same lady approached me and said she loved me and wanted to get married, I didn't even know what to think.. Well she appeared outside my hotel room again so then I called the police and luckily they got her to stop... And that's honestly the weirdest experience I've ever had with a fan and I've never had anything else even close to that.

As per usual, always a good read. Also, I pretty much agree with everything you touched on about bringing in the XWL Title. The amount of effort you put into these Newsletters is krzy and the fact that you've kept improving on it week after week is amazing.
