There hasn't been any sign of Austin in the back today, and no one has heard from him since the attack. I'm worried about his condition as he usually bounces back quickly but this time, I don't know...

James Storm walks onto the stage to a chorus of boo's from the Breakdown crowd, after what he did to Steve Austin at X-Treme X-Mas, possibly ending his career. He gets a microphone from the ring announcer...



{James Storm}
It's done....It is done. Steve Austin is no more. I killed the rattlesnake; I’m the only man that has been able to give him his last call; no pun intended. That sad, sad man was prolonging the inevitable, the end. I finally took him out to greener pastures and put him down. Steve will never, ever be back here in XWL. Y'all can say he's the biggest and baddest SOB but I showed that I am the toughest son of a bitch here, not him! I am the newest and baddest cowboy here in XWL and "The Tennessee Cowboy" is the greatest to ever lace em' up. I bet you're all wondering why I decided to take it upon myself to help Austin into retirement and the fact is he was dragging his lifeless body match to match for the sake of pleasing you fans, one of the guys I looked up to when I first got into the business was a washed up has-been and he refused to stop because he saw no purpose in his life other tan pleasing you disgusting people. So I took it upon myself to do the right thing....

The fans boo at Storm trying to show his actions were right...



You fans can keep booing and keep whining and crying but it won’t change the fact AUSTIN IS DONE! I did the right thing! I put my old hero into retirement because I couldn't bare to see him keep wrestling and it was time for new blood, and that's where I come in. Storm is in and Austin's out! There’s not a damn thing you can do about it! Unless you want to jump in the ring and fight me. Come on! Trust me, I wouldn't dare risk a lawsuit by assaulting and decimating a punk that's not worthwhile. But if you want to show up to the bar after the show and get made to look like a punk in a drinking contest that's fine by me. You people are a poison for every pro wrestler that enters this business and finds success, you suck the life out of them until they're like a Ric Flair or a Hulk Hogan, which is that they used to be the best, they used to be the absolute greatest. But then you fans turned a cold shoulder to them when they were down, you berated them with hare when they wanted to walk away, and now they continue on for the last flicker of applause that small adrenaline rush that keeps their body running and for the money that they desperately need. So you will never find me catering to you horrible people.

The crowd begins chanting "AUSTIN! AUSTIN! AUSTIN!"



I promise you that he is finished! I made sure that I delivered more pain and damage than I ever have before! You people are almost selfish thinking he'll walk through those curtains again, you should've let a legend walk away at the top; ride off in the sunset but instead you kept pleading for more and more so he never stopped and I had to be the one to put him down! This is all you people's fault! The XWL universe is to blame, not me! That's why I smashed those bottles over his head, that's why I beat him mercilessly with a steel chair, and that's why I threw him through that screen. That's why I ended his career and that's how James Storm is starting here in XWL with a bang! I'll be the hot topic around here pretty soon, I'll be the talk around the water cooler, and of course as always I will be the talk of the bar! Nothing you people say will stop me and it won't change the fact that I am the best in the company now! And I'll prove it sooner rather than later!



Tonight starts my path to dominance, I will win in my match and then I will go on to win the match after that and after that, I will show you all that Austin has nothing on me! I'll show you that I've surpassed my hero, I'll show you that I am a future champion and more than a flash in a pan. Whether I start by winning the X-Treme Championship or go straight to the top a title will be around my waist. But I'll gladly whoop a few people here and there for awhile on the way there. Tonight I start with Riley and continue that trend. My match is actually up next so I'll be right back out here after the commercial.

James Storm sets the mic down and walks to the back to a chorus of hate and disdain from the fans as the show cuts to commercial.



After the Christian promo Storm walks back out to his theme song to the same amount of heat as before. He finally gets to the ring and waits for Riley...

James Storm Vs Alex Riley

Alex Riley begins to toss his jacket to the ring announcer as the bell rings and Storm jumps him! He drops Riley with a double axe handle to the back and starts stomping away at the back of him. Storm immediately backs off to yell at a crowd chanting for Austin. Storm finally turns his attention back to Riley only to get met with a fist from a kneeled position, Riley slowly gets to his feet and continues firing off fists at Storm until he gets him into the ring corner, Riley transition into driving his shoulder into the abdomen of "The Tennessee Cowboy" until the ref reaches a four count and separates them. Riley charges right back in and delivers a big elbow drop to Storm who was still crawling on the ground recovering from the shoulders to his gut, Riley covers! But he only gets a 1 count. Riley slaps on a side headlock and works over the neck of Storm while getting leverage and wrenching the hold, eventually Storm reaches the ropes and Riley releases the hold. Riley backs up to the corner and begins measuring Storm as he gets to his feet and Riley charges and connects with a big shoulder tackle! Riley lifts Storm to his feet but Storm slaps Riley's arms into the air and delivers a big kick to his gut. He bounces off the ropes and connects with a swinging neckbreaker! He continues his assault with a couple of stomps, Storm takes a couple steps back and measures Riley who sits up and is met with a running big boot by James Storm! Storm covers but only gets a 2 count. Storm hops to his feet and is calling for one of his signature maneuvers, as Riley stands he gets spun around to his back and James Storm connects with a Backcracker! He covers 1......2......Riley kicks out! Storm shows signs of frustration that Riley won't stay down and is calling for the Last Call! Riley rises but ducks it! He delivers a big punch right to the abdomen of Storm. He is going for his Lifted Impaler DDT! But Storm drops to one knee and delivers a low blow on Riley in plain sight of the referee causing a disqualification!

{Ross}
Oh come on! Storm was on the verge of defeat and took the cowards way out!

{Cole}
Oh shut up J.R.! Riley cheated that whole match and Storm just had enough of it!

{King}
Do you ever watch the matches going on in front of you?

Winner by Disqualification:


Riley is celebrating the victory knowing he earned it despite not getting the pin, but just as he gets down from the turnbuckle he turns right into a Last Call from Storm! Storm jumps on Riley and starts delivering right hands to the head of the fallen Riley until officials separate him and check on Riley who is stirring but clearly recovering from the super kick and barrage of fists. The screen fades to black with Storm being walked to the backstage area.

As the camera fades to a black screen, it slides into a commercial.



As the New Years Special Edition of Breakdown returns from a commercial, it goes to the ring where Michael Cole is standing by

Welcome back to the New Years Special Edition of Breakdown. We just witnessed a big scuffle by James Storm as he contined further to attack Alex Riley! But notwwe turn our attention to the man in that ring.

[King]
And yes people, that is Michael Cole. A Redemption announcer here on Breakdown. We don't know why hes here, but I can already tell its not good.



[Michael Cole]
Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention, please?!

*The arena is flooded with boos as Michael Cole speaks*

For those of you who don't know. I am Michael Cole. one of the announcers you can listen to each and every week on Redemption. Now you're all probably wondering what I'm doing here on Breakdown?

*As Michael Cole tries to speak, the boos become louder and louder*

I could really care less about what you people think! I'm not here to cause any trouble. I'm here on an important errand. And thats to give a warm welcome to a dear friend. Hes one of the all time greats. Respected by many and who many wish to be. He's also a great business man and reffered to some as a "Wrestling God." So without further ado Ladies and Gentlemen. *The sound of JBL's music hits sends the crowd soaring in boos*



*JBL's limo appears from the side of the arena and he pops out from the top smiling and waving his arms in the air*

I know JR! We haven't seen JBL here in XWL for quite sometime. Wonder why hes here. Guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

*As the limo comes to a stop, JBL opens the door and continues smiling while making his way to the ring*



*JBL enters the ring he grabs a mic from under the turnuckle and taking his hat off and letting out laughs*

Hahaha. Aw, its great to be back. I know all of you have missed good o'l JBL. You don't know how much it means to me to hear all of your love. Spending all the hard earned money you've earned to to get the tickets to come and see me. I can promise you that all that money will be safe with me and when I spend it, I will think of all of you nice people. You people are so good to me!

*JBL looks around at the audiance as they still continue to boo*

[JBL]
I bet you wanna know where good o'l JLB has been? Well as you all know I am a very wealthy man. I've been spending all my time away. Relaxing, getting to know all the local rich people, and of course... making money. I've got so much money I don't even know what to do with it all. Man I can buy anything. I can go to the fanciest of resteraunts, I own my own golf course, many vacation sweets, my own yaught, my own private jet, and even my personal stock in good o'l New York. So I guess you can say that I've been partying like a Kennedy. Well I wasn't. I was partying like only I John Bradshaw Layfield can! But anyway, yesterday while I was in the New York airport waiting to board my private jet. I had a little boy come up to me and he was like, "Mr JBL. I'm such a big fan of yours. It would mean so much to me if I could get your autograph." So like any good role model would do! I took his pad of paper and the marker and signed it...

*Then as JBL pauses, the expression on his face from a bright smile turns to a smuggish look*



[JBL]
After signing the paper, I tore it to shreds. The little boy began to cry. So I nicely told the boy, "Listen here son! I'm a very, very busy man! I have no time to waste on little runts like you. Besides do you know who I am? I am John Bradshaw Layfield! My name is to precious and great to be wasted on a piece of paper that you will most likely sell on the internet or leave it somewhere to collect dust." Now you can say that I was setting a bad example, but I see it as a lesson. You see, there is a difference between people of greatness like me and poor, pathetic, and sensless people like all of you! Because while all of you are wasting your lives going on the internet and on that facebook crap, I'm out making money. Yes thats right, the green stuff, the stuff that allows you to get what you want. The stuff that allows you to do many things. The stuff that make people like me so great. And to make things clear, I don't give a rats ass about you people. The fact that I have to come out here week after week and look at all your poor, ugly faces.

[JBL]
I get told that its nice to give back to the fans. But what do you do for me? Besides give me your money. Do any of you pay my bills? No. I don't have to really worry about bills, but still. You people NEVER do anything for me that I have to repay. You all don't deserve to be in my presence. Unlike any of you, I'm out travling the world getting a chance to eat at the best 5 star resteraunts, meet some of the most famous people like Opera. Even getting to eat with the most POWERFUL man in this country! The President of the United States. That is something only the weak minded can think of doing. Though he ain't as powerful or handsome as me, at least HE acknowledges my work. But you know what? None of you will ever understand what I'm talking about, because none of you will ever get to do those things.



[JBL]
Its apparent to me that none of you like me. I don't expect any of you to nor do I care if you don't. What you see before your very eyes is a one of a kind. I'm not just called "A Wrestling God" to have a catchy nickname. I'm called it, because its true. I have everything. Charisma, Mic skills, the looks, Talent, and most importantly, THE MONEY!!! You see this company has talent, but none of them compare to me. You could combine some of the all time greats with some of todays greats. You could put Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Randy Orton, John Cena, Dusty Rhodes, and even Roddy Piper together and they still couldn't equal my greatness. They would even be qualified to carry my jockstrap. Unfortunatly I never had to wear one, but even if I went out to buy one they still wouldn't be worthy to hold it.

[JBL]
Actually there are 3 people that have caught my interest. They are The "Awesome" one The Miz, The fastest rising star in XWL Dolph Ziggler, and last but not least, Your Intercontinental AND new World Heavyweight Champion Wade Barrett. Now I'm not calling anyone out. I'm just showing my respect for them. Because those 3 have what it takes to be legends. And yes I did have a thought of hiring them to work along side me, because unlike the scums I hired in the past, these 3 actually get what their set out to do done. However I'm not out here to do that. I'm out here to put the whole XWL roster on notice. On notice that JBL is back and noone will stand in my way of getting what I want. And that my people is, Championship gold.

JBL then drops the mic putting a smile back on his face and looking at the crowd while Breakdown goes to a video for XWL's fiastest rising star, Dolph Ziggler*

*After returning from a Video Package for United States Champion, Shawn Michaels. We go backstage to see Matt Striker standing by with A.J*

AJ,Last night you came up short in the Fatal Four way match for the Divas Championship. Kaitlyn walked out still Divas Champion, but How disappointed was you to not be able to regain the Diva's Championship?


[A.J]
Last night everybody in that match came close to winning the title, you could tell how much everyone wanted it but I guess it showed who really is the best Diva in this company. It's the second time I've been so close but just fallen short of getting the victory. At November To Remember I was inches away from becoming a Two Time Divas Champion in a Ladder match against Kaitlyn. So sure, It sucks to come so close but juts not getting there but Kaitlyn retained her title, so I'm happy. Not many people can say that they not only saw their best friend follow their dreams but to be there with them too. I know how much Kaitlyn has dreamed about holding that title, so I'm glad that she retained and continues to make her mark here in XWL. I mean, after 5 month she is still undefeated, That's an amazing achievement for anyone so she deserves to keep that Title.

[Matt Striker]
But tonight AJ, you get a chance to face Kaitlyn at Over The Limit. When you face two of your opponents from X-Treme X-mas.. Maryse and Eve.



[A.J]
Tonight is a huge chance for me to get another One on One shot at the Divas Championship but not only that to make up for the last time I faced Kaitlyn. But tonight is going to a hard match, Eve and Maryse both showed that they are tough competitors but I know that I have the fight in me to walk out the winner. Many time in my career i've been down and out.. but I keep fighting and fighting. I've had to fight my entire life for the smallest things and it's things like that, that prepare me for matches like this. I know that I have the ability to win tonight but it's just showing it in that ring. I'd love to earn the shot to face Kaitlyn one more time, and I know that If it happens that this time, We'd put on hell of a match. We know that we can take each other to the very limit, We've shown that. But at the same time... I'd hate to be the one who ends Kaitlyns title reign and undefeated streak. But right now, my main focus is on tonight and walking out the Number One Contender.

You want my thoughts on that? I finally get my return match here in XWL, and I come out victorious then Dolph Ziggler attacks me from behind, and You are here wanting my thoughts? Why aren't you going to ask Dolph Ziggler why he's such a coward,bro? People like Dolph Ziggler are why people like me, Can never make a name for ourself in this business. I work my ass off every week, I do everything I can to get these peoples support. I didn't just walk into this company, and claim to be the best. Every bit of support I have is what I've got myself. And it's all my had work that Dolph Ziggler is trying to ruin.

I've already had it with you ,Dolph Ziggler. Twice now you've come out and ruined my moment. But it's not going to happen any more,bro. I'm going to be ready for you, I know to expect you to be cowardly and attack me from behind. If You was everything you claimed, then you'd be a man and you'd face me face to face. [The crowd in Toronto, Canada are in their seats enjoying this opportunity to see XWL Action live and in person, but just then, on this special episode of XWL Breakdown, The theme of the man whom they've all learned to hate over these last few months, Kurt Angle, hits.]





[Kurt Angle's tron hits the screen and he steps out from the back. The people boo Angle and Angle walks midway down the ramp before pausing for his pyro. His pyro shoots up and the little kids in attendance cover their ears.]



[Kurt Angle then continues to walk towards the ring with the fans booing him all the way. Angle walks to the end of the ramp, and then to the steps and up one step at a time. Once in the ring, Kurt demands a mic to start speaking to the world.]



[Angle lifts his mic up to speak, and as he does so the crowd begin to boo him impactfully.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Last week, after my match with Alex Shelley and after I left the building for the night, I took a friendly trip to the barber shop, when this happened.

[Angle shows the top of his head, which has a bald spot on it, and then points to the tron and we all take a look at just what went down. First we see Angle walk into his favorite barber shop, entitled "Friendly Cuts", and then we see Angle sit down in the chair for a man who will not reveal his face. We hear Angle ask for "A little off the top" and then the man with the cutter responds by making a huge bald spot in the top of his head. Angle does not like this, and yells at the man who then takes him down while holding the hair cutter in his hand. The camera then cuts off.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
You see, last week when I took a trip to my barber shop, Alex Shelley thought it would be funny to give me a little haircut, and that's how I have... This!

[Angle shows the bald spot on top of his head to the fans who have not already noticed it, the fans begin to laugh more at the "Olympic Champion" and his frustration is very apparent.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Stop it! This is not funny at all! I can't believe all of you would try to make fun of me when I'm in a time of need, Alex Shelley needs to be put a stop to, he did all of this just because he lost a damn match! And look at what he did to the barber before I walked in there!

[Angle once again points to the tron, and the tron shows a barber who is cleaning up after just cutting someone's hair. Shelley is seen pulling a bag over the man who was supposed to work there and beating him up before dragging the bag behind the counter where it would not be seen.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Do all of you see that? Alex Shelley attacked an innocent man to try and get back at me and he's the one you cheer! You people from Canada are as dumb as you seem if you think that this is an act of justice by Alex Shelley. He attacked an innocent man, that man has a wife and kids! Shelley has gone crazy, I'm the man who you all should root for. I stand for Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence. What does Shelley stand for? Every fan who is bald in this arena should take offence to Shelley's actions! Because he may be trying to shave my head, but what he's really doing is disrespecting all of you. It's true, it's true. And-

[Before Angle can go any further than that:]



[Shelley’s theme hits and there’s an immediate pop from the crowd as they await the arrival of one of their favorite superstars and the longer it takes for Shelley to step through the curtains, the more the anticipation begins to build up within them until they’re just about ready to explode. But then something strange happens: Shelley’s music cuts off nearly killing the people’s hype, and the people all give Angle accusatory stares blaming him for whatever happened with Shelley.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Don't look at me. I didn't play the music back there, Shelley must just be playing mind games with all of you because he's turned his back on you all!

[As the final words falls out of Angle’s mouth, a silence hangs in the air. But beginning in a low rumble amongst a few people, a ‘We want Shelley!’ chant penetrates through that silence and one by one more people begin to join in until the chants are like a deafening roar. Angle is pacing frantically and angrily back and forth and around in the ring and he can’t mask his anger or irritation at the fact that the people are chanting for a loser… the man he beat at XTreme Xmas! He’s finally had enough and he raises the mic to his lips to shut these people up.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Shutup! All of you are chanting for a loser, Shelley sucks! You'd have to be as dumb as a Canadian to still want to see Shelley's face... Oh wait, I'm in Canada!

[But what was surely a genius plan in his mind: tell the people off and expect them to side with you because after all, you are an Olympic gold medalist backfires immediately as the boos rain down and a new dynamic is added to the chants: ]

[Angle’s had about just about enough, when just then a voice comes through the speakers and you can tell immediately that the voice belongs to Alex Shelley.]

{Alex Shelley}
Listen to these people Kurt, because there’s a bit of a stinging truth to their words since you do in fact suck. And there are many things about you that explain why they feel that way: your misguided sense of patriotism, your disrespect for Santa Clause and your horrid just horrid tic-tac-toe skills are just three of the three reasons I can think of off the top of my head that would explain why these people feel the way they do about you.

[The mystery of the who is just about solved, but where exactly Shelley is located is the new issue at hand. The camera rapidly scans the arena looking for a sign of Shelley but it’s doubtful he’s already inside the arena.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
Just come out here Shelley. Stop hiding, because you can't hide from the truth and the truth is that you look like a mess after I messed up your hair last night.

{Alex Shelley}
You want me to come out here Kurt? You want me to walk out onto that stage and show the world what I’ve been reduced to after what you did to me at the Pay Per View? Is that what you want!? My hair is ruined and my face is stained with the dye you poured on me, but you just want me to waltz out there and embarrass myself in front of the world?

[[Kurt Angle]]
Look what you've done to me, Shelley, I want these people to see what you really are now and they'll laugh at the man whom they used to cheer for.

[There’s no response from Shelley but because he still presumably has a microphone near him it’s still possible to hear his footsteps as he walks from wherever he was. The crowd and both Angle are silent as they anticipate Shelley’s reveal. Smoke begins to pour down from the entrance way and then a man steps into it and the smoke helps conceal his identity. Finally the man steps out of the smoke and reveals himself to be… there’s a towel over his head! But everything from the neck down confirms the man to be Alex Shelley. The towel is thick enough to hide what needs to be hidden but thin enough for Shelley to see through and he easily makes his way down the ramp and gets into the ring.]

{Alex Shelley}
This is what you’ve done to me Kurt, I’m a man that has to hide under a towel now to protect the integrity of my good looks and it’s all because you were jealous that I had everything you didn’t. I hope you’re proud of what you did, I really do, because in that sad little life of yours where your only friends are your gold medals and the only thing you can talk about are your “Three I’s” when we can only see two on your face, you really needed something to finally go your way. And on top of that I hope you’re feeling lucky that I didn’t finish what I started at the barbershop because if I had it my way you would be bald right now.

[[Kurt Angle]]
But you didn't have your way at the barbershop Shelley. I'm still walking around here with almost a full head of hair while you walk around covering the disgrace that is your face. And my medals are my only friends? I'd rather have them as friends then worthless Canadians because these medals stand for hardwork where Canadians stand... Well, I don't think you could even say they stand. I guess I'd say, Canadians sit for being lazy, and being dumb and ignorant. Canadians like the ones in attendance tonight have their own set of the 3 I's that represents them. Ignorant, Irritating, and Icky. They're all ignorant because they know nothing about real talent, just look, they root for you instead of me. They're irritating because they love to chant "You Suck" when my theme plays like earlier tonight after I beat Road Dogg. Well you know what I say, You suck! [The crowd was booing mid-way through that anti-Canada rant of Angle’s and by the time he’s done they only get louder.]

These boos mean that these people are highly into the way of the ghost, but beyond that, it means that they don’t like you very much at all if you could even call it like in the first place which you would not be coming in because you’re a loser and first place is reserved for guys like me who are winners and who carry themselves with dignity and I couldn’t help but notice that dignity isn’t one of your I’s so that by itself says a lot about you even though there isn’t much to say about you other than the obvious which is that you are a horrible person and a grumpity old man. [Angle pauses realizing the mistake he has just made and quickly tries to correct himself.]

[Shelley doesn’t respond immediately and with his face still hidden by the towel it’s difficult to gauge his reaction. Angle reaches for the towel but his hand gets smacked away and Shelley seemingly comes to…]

[There’s a noticeable look of relief on Angle’s face as he realizes that Shelley tuned out after the first sentence or so. But then that relief turns to anger because when Angle speaks people should be listening and taking notes.]

[[Kurt Angle]]
You're a dog napper, Shelley, you should be put in jail! You don't deserve to stand in this ring!

[Shelley still seems to be lost in his own world but he does speak after a while.]

You’re right, Angle, I did try and steal R-Truth’s dog. When he told his story about the good times he shared with Tomato, it just brought me back to my own childhood when my mommy wouldn’t let me have a pet, and for a brief moment I wanted to make that part of his life my own just so I would know what it feels like. Mommy always said that I was never responsible enough to have a pet and I can remember what she said to me word for word the last time I brought it up. She said: “Alexander, you’re far too busy with this Kris Angle thing to be worried about a pet right now.”

[Shelley turns around and leans against the turnbuckles to take a moment for himself as the painful memory seems to be too much for him to handle right now. With Shelley’s back turned Angle sneaks up behind him and quickly whips the towel off his head so that we can what Shelley looks like now after Angle poured the dye on him. But Angle wasn’t expecting to see what he saw next and he takes a couple of steps away from Shelley but doesn’t take his eyes off him for a second. Shelley quickly rolls out of the ring and dashes up the ramp while hiding his head under his arms and the camera can’t get a good look at his hair or face, but then Shelley suddenly stops at the top of the ramp and turns around locks eyes with Angle and every one finally gets a good look at him:]

[Shelley still has the microphone in his hands and he raises it to his mouth to deliver one final message:]

Angle, don’t you get comfy with what little hair you have left, in fact it would be best for you to get more acquainted with the bald spot on your head because it's really only a matter of time before bald is all you know. It'll only be a matter of time before you stop worrying about which barber to visit and begin worrying about which oils to use on your head to make it shine. What I'm trying to say here is that I'm coming for the rest of your hair, sooner not later, and I'm going to make you pay for forcing me to hide under a mask.

[Angle stops midsentence as Shelley turns around and just walks out on him. He throws his mic down in frustration places his hands on hips and the screen fades to black with the crowd chanting Shelley’s name in the background.]

You know i wish i could say im shocked by James Storms Actions. Honestly i saw it coming. When i lifted him up for that A-Ryde. I seen it in his eyes. He knew he was beaten. He knew he had lost. He could not , and would not accept that Alex Riley in his return match had beat him. He may not have accepted it , but deep in his soul. he knows that on this night THAT I WAS THE BETTER MAN!!!

Storm Shows up as the masked man. Attacks Austin. The last thing he was thinking is that Rare Breed Alex Riley would beat him this week.
