XWL Breakdown : 5/22/2011 - 5/29/2011

Following a video highlighting the draft, we cut to the live arena as the pyro goes off. We are greeted by JR, King, and Joey Styles once again.

[[JR:]] Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the first ever brand exclusive episode of Breakdown! I’m Jim Ross here with Jerry Lawler and Joey Styles, and guys; we have a lot that is left unanswered!

[[Joey:]] You sure are right JR, not only was last week the draft where we saw great superstars like Sheamus, Evan Bourne, and The Rock drafted to Breakdown, but we all know that there was a rather controversial main event.

[[King:]] You’re damn right! Sheamus was screwed out of the World Title in his home country!

[[Joey:]] Sheamus used the World Title to screw Jericho out of the title, King! The right call was made!

[[King:]] Joey, you better bet that Sheamus will be on a rampage tonight! No one is safe! I’d love to see him take you out again! Ha!

[[Joey:]] Very professional, King.

[[JR:]] Yet, guys, that is not all that happened last week. MVP has snapped and turned his back on all of the fans after months and months of losses.

[[King:]] It’s more like they turned his back on him!

[[Joey:]] Not only that, JR, but Batista showed up after that, and just when it seemed like he would put MVP in his place, he joined forces with him! Who knows how this will affect the locker room.

[[JR:]] MVP is a great talent here, and Batista has inhuman strength. Who knows who those men can do? We will find out as the team up tonight to face The Rock and Sheamus in our main event!

[[Joey:]] Then, we will see Evan Bourne defend the X-Treme Championship against Drew McIntyre!

[[King:]] Then in tragic news, Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett were split up!

[[JR:]] King, a real tragedy was what Cody Rhodes did to Shawn Michaels last week! He left him a bloody mess backstage and possibly reinjured his back!

The theme of Cody Rhodes hits to loud chorus of boos. They chant “HBK! HBK! HBK! As Cody walks to the ring.

[[Joey:]] Well, I think Cody is out here to address that matter, JR!

[[Cody:]] Well, well, well. Where should I begin?

*The crowd keeps on booing Cody, not giving him a chance to talk.*

[[Cody:]] SHUT UP! I know you’re just jealous of me, but come on! I can’t help that I’m dashing. I was just born like this. Now, last week, I put that old, rotting, piece of fruit named Shawn Michaels in his place. That man is nothing but a pathetic liar! For years, and years he’s been calling himself “sexy?”

*The crowd chants “We want HBK!”*



[[Cody:]] No. He comes nothing close to me! I’m actually dashing! He’s just jealous of my looks like everyone else. But, that’s not the only reason why I attacked him last week, no, it’s not. You see, Shawn is just dead weight around here. He doesn’t deserve to be on my show any longer. I’m not even going to think about helping like I did with Rey Mysterio “over there.” No, I am the present and future of this company! The Has Been Kid was the present of this business fifth teen years ago! This is my time now! Don’t believe me?

*The crowd chants “Shut him up! Shut him up!”*

[[Cody:]] Just last week, he got his ass kicked by AJ Styles. Now, AJ Styles I no Cody Rhodes, I’ll tell you that. Then, I beat the so called “World’s Strongest Man”! No, I crushed Mark Henry last week! Then, Shawn Michaels gets an interview, and not me? Are you kidding?

[[JR:]] That’s a bold claim to make against Mark Henry.

[[King:]] But it’s true!



[[Cody:]] You see, I will not stop until Shawn is out of my company! Even in his prime, he can’t even hold a candle to the “Dashing” name of Cody Rhodes. Does it matter how many titles he has won? No, it does not. In fact, the only reasons why he won those world championships were because Bret Hart was screwed in both matches! Bret will prove that tonight, if Shawn can even manage to get out here. I mean, I probably retired that goof for good last week! And if I didn’t, Shawn, I’d advise you to retire anyway, because if you come back, I will destroy you.

*The crowd starts a dual chant of “Shut up, Cody! We want Michaels!”*

[[Cody:]] You want Shawn? You people want Shawn? Well, TOO BAD! You won’t get Shawn! Because last week, I did take him out. He couldn’t even move after I was finished with him last week.

*As Cody Rhodes opens his mouth to speak again, he’s cut off by the sight of Shawn Michaels limping onto the stage, mic in hand! Much to his shock and the crowd's delight.*

[[JR:]] Well, it seems HBK’s finally had enough of Cody’s verbal onslaught!

[[King:]] HBK should of stayed back in the back. Rhodes is too Dashing, and Michaels may break a hip getting into the ring!

[[Joey:]] Well, both men have made their careers off their egos and their good looks. Both Rhodes and Michaels can talk the talk, and walk the walk.

[[HBK:]] Lord almighty, can someone please turn this brat’s mic off!

*The fans cheer and chant “HBK! HBK! HBK!”*

[[HBK:]] I bet you think you’re the cream of the crop now because you beat up on HBK, don’t you? You think because you can BLINDSIDE me and try and re-injure my back, that makes you the greatest superstar ever? Well, let me tell you something, boy. It doesn’t. You have to earn that honor, by going in the RING, and facing superstars 1 on 1 like a MAN, instead of attacking them from behind with a trashcan!

*The fans now chant “Cody sucks! Cody sucks! Cody sucks!”*

[[HBK:]] So what I’m going to do..is I’m going to come down that ramp, climb up those stairs, go through those ropes, and the two of us…we’re gonna have ourselves a little talk, kiddo.

*Michaels does exactly as he stated, as he comes down to the ring, face to face with his attacker from last week, as the fans cheer HBK on.*



[[HBK:]] Boy, you listen to me, and you listen good. I’ve been through a lot in this business. Hell, you remind me of me back in the day. Snobbish, egotistical, waiting like a vulture to pick on the old guys in the back. But over the years, I’ve changed. I’ve become a fighter, I’ve grown up and become a man. So until you face me one on one like a man…I have ZERO respect for you. I don’t care who the hell your daddy is, you are doing nothing but TARNISHING the legacy of your family, kid.

*The fans now cheer and chant “HBK! HBK! HBK!” once again.*

[[HBK:]] So here’s what The Showstopper’s gonna do. How about at Unforgiven, it will be “The Heartbreak Kid”! “The Main Event”! “The Showstopper!” “The Icon!” Shawn Michaels…against…you. “Dashing”…Cody…Rhodes. You think you’re up for it…

*HBK pokes Rhodes hard in the chest.*

[[HBK:]] You think you have the guts to face Shawn Michaels 1 on 1? Come on kid, I beg you..I BEG YOU! FACE ME LIKE A MAN!

*HBK angrily slaps Rhodes straight across the face*

[[Cody:]] You old bastard, you have more guts than brains! I ACCEPT! I hope you’re ready, Michaels. Because your career…is at a Cross Rhodes.

*Cody goes for a clothesline, but HBK ducks! Cody turns around, to receive a face full of Michaels’s boot, SWEET CHIN MUSIC! Cody collapses to the mat, holding his face as he rolls out of the ring, and slowly walks up the ramp.*

[[JR:]] OH MY GOD! What a superkick to Cody Rhodes!

[[King:]] AAAAAAH! HBK CAN’T DO THAT! Cody is DASHING! HBK, you IDIOT!

[[Joey:]] Michaels was finally tired of putting up with the antics of Cody Rhodes! But, will Cody suffer the same fate at XWL Unforgiven!?

*As the 'Breakdown' intro ends and the fireworks settle, XWL cameras go over to the commentary table where Jim Ross begins talking.*

[Jim Ross]
"Hello XWL and welcome to Breakdown. Tonight is going to be a huge night with the matches we will be seeing. Evan Bourne vs. Drew McIntyre for the Xtreme Title!!!"

[Joey Styles]
"Not only that King, but we also get to see The Rock team with Sheamus!!! They are going to be facing the newly former alliance of MVP and Dave Batista!"

[Jerry Lawler]
"You guys are missing the best match tonight. Maryse vs. Beth Pheonix! Not only that, but Maria vs. Gail Kim! So much puppies!"

[Jim Ross]
"King is all you think about are puppies? We've got two huge main event quality matches, and all you can think about are Puppies?"

[Jerry Lawler]
"Shut up JR, I have my own opinion on things."




*John Morrison's theme hits and the crowd gets on there feet as Morrison comes out from the back and walks to the top of the stage.*



*John Morrison stops at the top of the stage and takes off his glasses. he raises his right arm in the air as his fireworks go off. He lowers his arm and in slow motion, puts his sunglasses back on.*



*Morrison's fireworks come to a close and he begins to walk to the ring. He points to a fan wearing a John Morrison shirt and continues to walk to the ring. He reaches the stairs and quickly walks up them.*



*Morrison walks to the center of the ring, and picks up the microphone that is laying there. He raises it to his mouth and begins to speak.*



[JOHN MORRISON]
"Hello XWL Universe and welcome to the first ever Breakdown, where for the first time ever, not all of the XWL Superstars are here tonight. What do I mean by that? I mean, Breakdown has some competition now called Redemption. Breakdown has always been the flagship show of XWL and now, we've got another show which is lead by Vickie Guerrero. Luckily, us here on Breakdown, have a good General Manager named Mick Foley!"

"But speaking of Redemption, a friend of mine got drafted to there. That friend being Edge, who was not seen at last week's Breakdown show. What I want to know is why wasn't he there? Is he to depressed to step out of his house after he lost to me? Is it because he's embarrassed? I don't know but Edge, I hope your watching this because whenever you decide to show up on Redemption, tell me where you have been because to be honest, I want to know where the Rated R Superstar has been since Sadistic Conquest and I'm pretty sure all these fans want to know where you have been too."




"Now moving, tonight I face the 'Jamaican Sensation' Kofi Kingston. I'm ensure you that Kofi and I are going to put on one hell of a show from his high fllying moves, to my parkour style. I know, our match will blow the roof off this place. Also tonight we've got a Xtreme Title Match between Evan Bourne and Drew McIntyre. I remember a few weeks ago when I faced Rob Van Dam, Justin Gabriel and Evan Bourne for the Xtreme Title. What I realized from that match is that Evan Bourne went onto win a title after it. Justin Gabriel went onto win a title after that match. Eventually, Rob Van Dam might win the World Heavyweight Championship. So you know what that means? John Morrison is going to acquire Gold in no time."



"Then we got the main event of The Rock and Sheamus vs. Batista and MVP. One day I hope to join the ranks of the World title but for now i will just keep fighting. Something you might not know, ever since that Fatal 4 Way match I'v had. I haven't lost a match since and I plan on continuing that streak tonight against Kofi Kingston. I hope all of you enjoy tonights matches and segment that will come later because I know I will on this historic week in XWL History."

*Morrison leaves the ring as the fans await for the show to continue.*

*We return from a brief commercial break and the camera is on the crowd who are chanting John Cena's name as his theme is blasting throughout the arena.*

It's John Cena!!! Last week he was stunned by The Rattle Snake after showing us that he still has his..."Thuganomics" skill after all!!!

{King}
Yeah, yeah, who cares.. His "Thuganomics" didn't help him against Samoa Joe!!!

{Styles}
Well he might have lost it but it sure was a great match!!!

*Cena follows his salute with his normal entrance, slides into the ring, requests a mic, and begins to speak*

Yo, yo, yo...
Last week I got Stunned by Stone Cold 3:16
But tonight Stone Cold's no where to be seen!

He's not here on Breakdown... or Redemption either
He must be at home... sick with a fever

Too scared to come to the ring and fight?
Hiding so you don't have to face me tonight?

*Cena holds his middle finger in the air mocking Stone Cold while the crowd says "F U" with him at the end of the rap.*

Stone Cold Steve Austin may have been able to stun me last week but that's old news...The news of this week...The topic being talked about by all wrestling fans around the world...Is That JOHN CENA IS ON BREAKDOWN!!!!! That's right!! Mick Foley made the smart decision of drafting me!! The seats will be filled with the Cenation every Breakdown!! John Cena will be the only thing on wrestling fan's minds here on Breakdown!! And when some one mentions Stone Cold's name they won't be saying "What" anymore...they will be saying "who????"!!! Actually, once John Cena tears through Breakdown whenever some one mentions ANY other superstars name the Cenation will say "who???" The ONLY name on the minds of any one who watches Breakdown will be John Cena!!! Not Stone Cold...



*Cena holds the mic up to the crowd after saying Stone Cold's name. A good amount of the crowd chants "WHO!" while the rest chants "What!" or boos Cena. "Cena Sucks" chants are also heard throughout the arena.*

And tonight you will be beat by a future legend, John Cena!!! Cody, if I were to ever step in the ring with Shawn Michaels I wouldn't let him make me look like an idiot. Not like you did!! Role the footage!!!!



*On the Tron we see a replay with the words "Earlier Tonight" at the bottom....On the replay The Heart Break Kid pokes Rhodes hard in the chest. While Shawn is shown speaking into the mic we hear King, JR, and Styles talking live during the muted replay.*

Here we see Shawn Michaels showing how jealous he is of Cody Rhodes "Dashing" looks! Shawn wish that he still looked like that I bet!! Just like Cena!

*HBK angrily slaps Rhodes straight across the face on the replay. Cody is shown talking into the mic as the commentating team continue to converse live.*

Well it looks like being "Dashing" isn't going to help Cody here with The Heart Break Kid at all!

*Back on the replay Cody goes for a clothesline, but HBK ducks! Cody turns around, to receive a face full of Michaels’s boot, SWEET CHIN MUSIC! Cody collapses to the mat, holding his face as he rolls out of the ring, and slowly walks up the ramp....The camera cuts from the replay to Cena live in the ring. Cena is shown shaking his head and smirking while looking at the tron that was playing the replay, he then puts the mic to his lips and begins to speak*

My favorite part was when Cody got superkicked! But the pain he felt then is nothing compared to what he is going to feel when I lock in the STF and make him tap!!! That's right, Samoa Joe might have been strong enough to fight out of the STF but Cody? Cody's a twig, once the STF is locked there's nothing he will be able to do other than tap out! Cody Rhodes

*Cena's theme sounds as he tosses his mic out of the ring and does his "Hustle, Loyalty, Respect" Hand Motion as the crowds cheers. He looks straight at the camera and does the "You can't see me" taunt before exiting the ring as we go to commercial*

Josh Matthews is shown in the back with a monitor behind him displaying an image saying XWL Draft “Biggest Moments”.



Josh Mathews: Hello folks were going to take you away from the action for just a minute to talk about last week and the very first XWL draft. Now last week we saw a lot of surprises, teams splitting, champions moving and even superstars returning. So this is why we have decided to talk now about all the biggest moments of last week and the possible impacts these drafts could bring to both Breakdown and Redemption.

Josh Mathews: Let’s firstly talk about the split of The Corre and how this will affect both Wade and Justin, now both look to be doing well and don’t seem to be too affected. Gabriel even said it doesn’t matter what brand they are on, they will both strive to the top together. Will this be true? We will see over the coming weeks because Gabriel will certainly have his hands full with AJ Styles and Kevin Steen desperately wanting to get that US title around their waists.

Josh Mathews: But moving on another team we understand are facing a split is LayCool both Michelle and Layla are on different brands. This is why the draft is so brutal best friends have been torn apart and now forced to fight on there own, how will they cope? You’ll have to keep watching XWL to find out.

Josh Mathews: Now enough about teams splitting lets talk about the pick of the draft the world heavyweight champion Chris Jericho! Jericho can be on both brands while he holds the title but officially he is a member of the Redemption brand. Now Vickie certainly picked some big names for her brand so it will be good to see what exactly will happen over the coming weeks. Fn, The Beautiful people, CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio are just a few of the big names which will now call Redemption there home.

Josh Mathews: Breakdown didn’t lose out though Mick Foley certainly had big shoes to fill following Vickie’s departure to Redemption and he did it well we saw Foley bring in superstars such as The Celtic warrior Sheamus, The Rock and Wade Barrett. The man with the new attitude MVP is also staying put at Breakdown with his new enforcer so to speak which is the newly returning Dave Batista.

That was all about the biggest moments of the XWL 2011 Draft thanks and back to you at rin….

The camera pans to the left where MVP and Batista walk in through the door, Mathews looks around and is not quite sure what to say. MVP snatches the mic from Mathews’ hands as he backs off out of the camera shot.

Montel: Pardon the interruption JOSH but, do my ears deceive me? Did I really, just hear you list the biggest moments of the 2011 XWL Draft and we're last?! Did you, or did you not, pay attention to that statement Dave and I made out there that night? I really think you need to get your ears cleaned homie, because if you hadn't.. let me remind you..

Montel approaches Josh who backs against the wall.

Montel: You see Josh, as you knew I hadn't been on the hottest streak in quite some time. Losing match after match, not to mention holding onto the world title for only a month.. I mean COME ON how pathetic can you be right? Well, as sad as that may sound, that, was the old MVP. The person who actually gave a jack about these fans thoughts, wants, and needs. But, let me be clear here Josh. It's MONTEL'S time now and nothing these idiot's say are going to distract me ever.. again. Ya feel me?!

Montel shoves the mic against Josh.

Josh Mathews: Well Montel with all due respect......

Batista interrupts Mathews before he gets a chance to finish his sentence.



Batista: Look Mathews don't start with the cocky little reply or else you will be the first to see we mean business and that no one should make any jokes about us. Why did you say us last Josh? Was my return not good enough for you? Are you just like everyone of them mindless fans out there? Do you take us seriously Josh, do you think that me and MVP will win tonight?

Josh Mathews: Personally Dave don't take no disrespect from this but Sheamus and Rock are two top athletes and certainly are two of the best in XWL. So honestly no, I think that they will pull of the upset, Sheamus certainly is not in the best of moods after what happened last week and I'm sure he would want nothing more than to get a win here tonight.

Batista looks around quite calm then suddenly takes a pace forward towards Matthews who begins to back off, MVP puts his arm out to stop Batista and takes the mic from Batista.

Montel: & I'm not the best? Really? Maybe you've forgotten but, I am a former World Champion. Now, if this is too much for your little brain to comprehend Josh, that means, that I am not only on the same level as Rocky and Sheamus but hell, I'm WAY above them. Do I really need to go down the list of my accomplishments?!

Josh goes to speak but Montel cuts him off.

Montel: I didn't think so. You're talking about how Sheamus isn't in the best of moods because he lost the title News-flash homie!, he cheated! Did I have to cheat to win the title? NO Now, while I may not be liked for my new attitude I realized something that week. The thing is Josh, being buddy buddy with everyone got me nowhere. The fact of the matter is, that after I lost the world title I lost that spark. How you ask? Well, it' simple. It's not because of a mistake by me, because well, I'm a former champion. No, in fact Josh, it's because of all these people!

Montel: For too long, I spent WAY too much time trying to amount to everything these idiots you guys call fans wanted. I came out here each and every single week, with a flashy entrance and big moves but, what did it get me? NOTHING that's what, NOTH-ING. After that, I started to lose more and more, and it was then, that I realized that something had to change. Now, it wasn't the way I performed in the ring no, it's not that at all. It, was the fact that I, was blinded by these fans. Which, made me lose focus. It only took me up until last week, to realize that if I want to get anywhere, I need to do so on MY TERMS. No more Mr. nice Montel. I'm in this game for ME and me only. Maybe, that's the mindset Sheamus should have and then, maybe then, he could've won that title!

Mathews looks speechless but slowly holds the mic and begins to talk.

Josh Mathews: This new MVP may be looking out for himself but rumor has it around the back that this attitude, this new found charisma from MVP is only because you have such a big dominating superstar behind you.

Batista snatches the mic from Matthews and stands over him, Matthews is certainly intimidated by Batista’s presence

Batista: Are…are you scared of me Josh?

Josh slowly nods in agreement.



Batista: You don’t want to do anything to make me angry do you? Now look MVP is a former world champion and no doubt he will become a world champion again. Do you really think that he is going to go out of his way to look for someone to help him? No. I went looking for him. I arrived last week and after a brief meeting with two of the executives I saw a monitor in the back showing MVP. I saw his new attitude and remembered all the history he has within XWL. I wanted to make an impact in this company and I thought if I could get associated with someone with so much potential, so much history such as MVP then both of our careers could rise. MVP is still as tough as he always was tonight when we beat Rock and Sheamus you will all see that.

Batista slams the mic into Matthews chest and both MVP and Batista walk out of the room. The camera fades out as the door closes behind them and out to the crowd ready for the next segment

The arena errupts into cheers as a familiar theme blasts through the speakers....



The Rock bursts through the curtain full of energy



He walks down the ramp soaking in the ovation from his home town



He Climbs into the ring and heads straight for the turnbuckle to taunt for his fans



After a good minute of basking in the cheers he jumps down and grabs a mic from the side before setting into his signature pose as the crowd dial down to a whisper in wait......



The Rock: FINALLY! THE ROCK! HAS COME BACK! TO BREAKKKDOWN!!!

WHICH MEANS, FINALLY! THE ROCK HAS COME BACK! TO MIAAAAMI!!!

WHIIIICH MEANS, FINALLY! THE ROCK HAS COME BACK!.............

The Rock: Tonight The Rock stands here before you three things, number one, The Rock stands before you proud. Proud to be here, proud to be apart of this great company and proud to be an American, he puts his body on the line week in week out, damn near ending his career each time he steps between those ropes, but you know what? He wouldn't change it for the world. Why? because he loves this business and he loves all the people who made his dream a reality. Lets take you people on a little trip, a trip down memory lane into the life of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Right here, right here in the fine state of Miami, right from the moment little Rock burst from his daddys testicles, from that moment on he was destined for greatness! He grew up apart of the greatest family in the world! His Daddy! "Soulman" Rocky Johnson! His Grandaddy! "High Chief" Peter Mavia! The Rock grew up under their wing, training hard to one day maybe make it to the top and that is exactly what he has done! So to his family, some sitting right there in the crowd!

The Peoples Ring! and he told each and every one of you fans that without a doubt in his mind he would walk out of the main event as The World Heavyweight Champion! The Rock let his feelings and his rage get the better of him and during that match he lost his focus, he should have stayed in the ring and tried to get the pin but he let Alberto Del Rio get in his head, by the time The Rock had finished whooping Ricky Martin all over the arena it was too late.... back in the ring Sheamus had won the title....Or so The Rock thought, more bad news, the referee reverses the decision and gives the World Title back to Chris Jericho. Pushing it further and further from The Rock.



The Rock stands speachless, looking out into the crowd, looking sad and down but in a heartbeat his demeanor changes and he suddenly looks angry, determined and ready to knock a bitch out




The Rock: THIRD THING THE ROCK STANDS BEFORE YOU IS PISSED! The Rock can accept not winning the title! The Rock can accept having to work back up at another chance! But one thing that The Rock just cannot accept, just cannot fathom is why in the name of hell, did his good friend and our new general manager Mick Foley team him with Sheamus? We all know Mick Foley is a few cards short of a deck but The Rock didn't think he was this damn stupid! If there are three people in XWL that The Rock just cannot stand they are Vickie Guerrero, Alberto Del Rio and my tag team partner for tonight, Sheamus! So Sheamus let The Rock make one thing crystal clear for you right here and now, The Rock didn't ask for your help, The Rock doesn't want your help and The Rock sure as hell doesn't need your help! So stay out of his way and he will stay out of yours. The Rock is telling you right here so you know, if you attempt any funny business, he will not hesitate to whoop your ass into a different shade!



The Rock: So lets say Sheamus and The Rock can set their differences aside for one night only, lets say everything goes according to plan, lets take a look at our opponents, MVP! Montel Vontavious Porter! A former World Champion in his own right and a man that The Rock used to have a ton of respect for, but last week on XWL's draft show, he claimed that the fans turned there back on him.
