| As the video begins, we see our Intercontinental Champion alone in a room. PAC speaks...For 15-months...I have held the XWL Intercontinental Championship and a title reign that long usually has multiple defenses and historic matches linked to it. Unfortunately, that is not the case with my championship reign, but that is no fault of my own.
Just weeks after I defeated 'Hangman' Adam Page in what was said to be one of the greatest ladder matches in the history of this company, XWL faded into darkness...but this company was not the only thing that faded to darkness. I fell into a deep depression. I grew miserable, not being able to do what I loved. I grew angry and felt lost at the fact that I didn't know if I would ever be able to do what I loved ever again.
Then one day, XWL returned to the light but I did not. When XWL returned from it's hiatus, I brought that darkness and that anger back with me. I used that anger to take down four other men in a Championship Scramble to retain my Intercontinental Championship. I shut up all the pieces of garbage that doubted the legitimacy of my championship reign. I showed everyone in the locker room that PAC is the real deal. Not only did I silence the haters, but I also silenced the voices in my head.
The voices in my head that told me that I didn't belong. The voices in my head that dragged me down and told me to be the underhanded, cheating asshole that you all know. Well guess what! I don't want the story of PAC to be written saying that I was just the guy that is was scumbag and would do anything for a cheap win. I don't want to be known as the guy with a lousy title reign. I don't want to be remembered as a Bastard. I am a human being, I have thoughts and feelings just like you.
I am sick and tired of hearing the boos...hearing XWL fans curse my name whenever I walk into a room, but I am the reason that my standing with the fans has come to this point. XWL has once again gone into darkness, but I have fought...scratched, clawed...to make sure that I don't fall into darkness with it this time. You all don't know it yet, but I have worked hard to become a better man.
No longer will you see a coward standing before you. No longer will you see a bastard, but you will see a professional wrestler doing what he loves...and when XWL returns again, which it will, I will demand one thing. I will demand the one thing that I know you all love too...competition. With that said, I will make this announcement very loud and clear. The moment XWL returns from the darkness, the very first show back...I am going to walk down to that ring and I am going to issue an open challenge for my Intercontinental Championship! So if anyone...anywhere...thinks they are on my level, you know where to find me. When XWL reignites, I will demand the one thing I have been thirsting for over these last few months...COMPETITION!The video comes to an end. | |
