AT XWL: DOWNPOUR, THESE TWO MEN WILL MEET INSIDE THE RING TO TRY AND SETTLE THEIR DIFFERENCE. BUT THAT'S NEXT WEEK....

Hello ladies and gentleman, welcome to Anarchy! We have a great show in store for you tonight.

You can say that again Cole. Tonight's the last show before Downpour and you can bet there will be some major happenings here tonight.



Daniel Bryan walks out onto the ramp and looks a little defeated after what happened last week with Matt Sydal. Then he looks around at all the fans chanting his name, and a big smile envelops his face. He points up at the sky and yells "Yes!" and then proceeds to make his way down to the ring...

[Michael Cole]
Speaking of happenings King, it looks like Daniel Bryan is on his way out here!

[JBL]
Who cares about Daniel Bryan anyways? He lost last week and he's going to lose again at Downpour.

[Michael Cole]
Daniel Bryan did lose last week John, but it was to Matt Sydal, one of the greatest superstars XWL has ever had. I don't think he should be ashamed of that at all.

[JBL]
No shame?! He lost Michael! Plain and simple. I always knew Daniel Bryan was a loser.

[Jerry Lawler]
Can we talk about that disgusting scene from Matt Sydal and Renee Young after that match with Daniel Bryan?

[JBL]
What's wrong with what they did? I saw two people showing their affection for each other and not being afraid to show the entire world. It's not their fault Daniel Bryan stuck around.

[Michael Cole]
You're so delusional John.

[JBL]
Shut up Michael!

At this point, Daniel has already entered the ring. The fans have been chanting Yes! constantly since he came out. He looks around and smile before motioning for a ring attendant to give him a mic....



[Daniel Bryan]
I don't know if you know this or not, but I'm a pretty easy going guy. I lost to Matt Sydal? Ok, he's a fantastic performer inside this ring. But he went too far when he and Renee started making out over me after I lost. Do you guys think I'm going to forget about that?

NO!

[Daniel Bryan]
That's right! I won't forget, but I have a more pressing issue to deal with right now. That issue is a certain "demon" by the name of Finn Balor.

BOOO!

[Daniel Bryan]
Ha, I agree guys. You see, I don't really know Finn that well. I've never had any problem with him. But all of a sudden, he wants to return and attack me? I get that he's the Authority's bidding boy, but still, he should know he's picking a fight with the wrong person.



[Daniel Bryan]
He comes out after my matches and cheap shots me, and thinks that makes him better than me. He attacks me after I had a great interview with my good friend Mitch, and he thinks I'm not going to be fired up and ready to kick his ass? He's got another thing coming when Downpour arrives. He's going to be in the ring with the best professional wrestler in the world and there will be no escape. I'm not going to be content with just beating him. No, I'm going to send him back to whatever hell that the Authority dug him out of and go on to bigger and better things, regardless of what the Authority wants.

[Daniel Bryan]
So Stephanie McMahon wants me and Finn to meet inside of this ring tonight to bring in ratings, but instates a no-contact rule or we'll both be suspended? That's fine with me. This way I can tell Finn Balor to his face, LIKE A MAN, that after Downpour, he will be in the hospital wondering why he ever thought about messing with Daniel Bryan.

YES!

[Daniel Bryan]
So Finn Balor, get out here!! I'm tired of waiting!

Daniel looks towards the stage and awaits Finn Balor's arrival. He waits for several moments before speaking again...

[Daniel Bryan]
Where are you Finn?! Are you scared to come out and face me like a man?! Come on, get out here!

Several more moments pass and Daniel is getting visibly upset. He goes to talk before familiar music cuts him off....



Daniel is livid that Finn Balor isn't coming out, and instead we see Triple H walk out onto the stage...



[Triple H]
Sorry to burst your bubble Daniel, but Finn is NOT coming out here tonight.

BOOO!

[Triple H]
Finn Balor has more important things to worry about than confronting you tonight. He preparing for your match at Downpour, where we, THE AUTHORITY, are going to get rid of you for good.

BOOO!

[Triple H]
But don't worry Daniel, you'll be plenty busy tonight. You have an Extreme Rules match to look forward to. Enjoy it while you can, because come Downpour, Finn Balor is going to destroy you and send you packing. Now production crew, cut his microphone. I'm done here. Get out of my ring Daniel.

With that, Triple H walk out and Daniel Bryan has absolutely lost it. He is screaming "No!" and the fans are yelling it with him. Anarchy cuts to a black screen for a few seconds, almost like someone cut the feed, before heading to commercial.

The cameras come back from commercial break and they cut backstage as we find XWL very own interviewer, Renee Young. It was her job to interview superstars and divas and tonight she had the honour to interview the newest diva to grace XWL, Alexa Bliss. Renee Young would smile as she stands before this new diva as she begins the interview.

Renee Young | Interviewer
Alexa, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. Tonight you make your in ring debut right before Downpour. You will not be stepping into the ring with a rookie, rather you will be stepping into the ring with Natalya of all people, this is a big opportunity for someone like yourself to make a name for yourself on your debut.

(Glitter...Glitz….Sparkle...Bliss)
I know that tonight, people think that I have no chance. That they take one look at me and say that I don't have a chance against some old fossil like Natalya. I really hope that deep down Natalya thinks she has it easy going into tonight's match. I hope she thinks that her match tonight will be the greatest thing we'll ever see. Because when she has all of that on her mind, when she has all those typical thoughts in her head? That's when I'll rip away everything from her. Not only will she disappoint, she'll let every single fan of hers, down!! And what a perfect night to do it on, when I have so much to gain. Beating Natalya wouldn't only make me happy. It would thrill me! I'm going to smile ear to ear when I hear that ref count to three and declares me the winner over this dumb and hateful opponent of mine. Natalya has always been jealous of me and I don't blame her, in fact? I don't blame anybody who hates me. I mean they hate because I'm the most stunning woman to ever grace this sport. I have the looks, I can definitely give the entire world, the thousands of fans, matches they'll never forget. So I don't really concern myself or worry about what Natalya says to me or even thinks me. She is old, washed up and ready to fall and I am here to replace her.

She would run her hands through her hair as she continues to have that arrogant little smirk on her face as Renee Young then speaks once again.

Rumours are going around backstage that you have came in here with an attitude problem, this is your very first match here and it seems that management as paired you with Natalya in a way for her to try to give you some advice.

Alexa Bliss would smirk even more as she just then shakes her head in disappointment with the statement that was just uttered, imagine Natalya trying to teach her anything, it is laughable.

ALEXA BLISS

Natalya, she doesn't even respect herself so for her to think she is the veteran here and that she is going to teach me a lesson, that is a joke. She thinks she is all that, but we know if she did not have a famous daddy, she would never be here! I wasn't born into this business! everyone knows that! Natalya talks like she KNOWWWSSS everything but she doesn't and that's why she will fall victim to me tonight. That's why she will do what I know she will... fail. When she does I'll be right there to laugh in her face, make fun of her and make her see that her words were all for nothing. She can make up the excuses all she wants, she can throw me under the bus as many times as she wants to but she needs to be thinking about me and how she's going to impress us all tonight. If she happens to get hit with the Sparkle Splash? She won't ever be able to say anything about me, again! and if she does? I'll be there to slap the taste out of her mouth! Bliss don't play around and when I get serious? I am a total nightmares to deal with.

Alexa Bliss would then flick her hair backwards, the confidence was oozing out of her as she already believed that she had this match won, before they even got into the ring.

Renee Young | Interviewer
You seem very confident in yourself tonight, so tell me, what are your final thoughts on your debut match tonight? Do you have any feelings towards Natalya, is just all business, you trying to make a name for yourself, or do you really dislike this woman?

Her hands would go up to her chest as she presses it against them, almost as if she was in shock with such a stupid question, it was clear for her dislike for this woman.

What are my feelings towards Natalya? Hmm I don't know Renee, you tell me. Tell me how I feel about a lame, boring, non-entertaining woman to ever come into this business. Please Renee, do me a favour and SHUT UP! You want my opinions, my thoughts on Natalya? Well I'll be the first to tell you, I absolutely HATE her. I cannot stand her and thought of her thinking she is better than me, that she has me beaten, makes me sick. I'm sure that puts a smile on the face of that third generation mistake. YEAH I SAID IT!! I said mistake, Natalya thinks she's gold. She thinks everything she touches is graced and turns to instant platinum. She walks around with her head held high, looking down on people like me. She knows I did not start as a wrestler, she knows I did not have doors open for me like she did. She has labled me already and she believes that she can beat me, because I am not like her. Trust me honestly, I don't want to be anything like you. Ugly, out of shape and way past your prime, you're the old hag of XWL and you need to be shoved right out of the door and I am the one who will be doing the shoving. I know deep down that this old bat is scared of me and she's scared of what I am capable of doing. I don't give a damn what she says about me, she is truly scared about what I could do to her. I I am not just a women who walks around and look good. I am the total package! Natalya can't touch me! I am on top of everything? She can never EVER ne on top of anything!  She's just a D-class diva looking for a chance to be a A-list woman. Tonight? on XWL? I will step into that ring and show Natalya that the passing of the torch is upon her and I am her to replace her. My debut will be one to remmeber as I retire Natalya.

Again Alexa Bliss smirks as she looks at the camera, a look of pure determination on her face as she was not only ready for her match, she was ready to win it. The XWL logo appears as we then cut to commercial.

Earlier this afternoon a pre-taped interview was shot with Mia Yim. We head backstage to see the cameras all set up replaying what transpired. Mia Yim next to a guy who hopelessly wanted to interview her. He goes by the name of Ken Michaels. Mia Yim is not in her usual wear, this time draping a large gray hoodie over her and not putting much time and effort into her makeup either.

Ken Michaels: Mia, I wanted to be the first to say welcome back to XWL. Sponsorship of Fox News allows us to get in close and personal with the lovely women of professional wrestling. We managed to get you here to talk your side of things concerning Layla and Michelle McCool.

Mia puts her hands at her side and smirks at those names being brought up. Ignoring everything he said, she decides to swerve it into a different direction.


I’m more than excited to get my voice out there for once. Actually, I have several questions directed straight to Layla if you don’t mind Ken. Are you ashamed of me? Did I take advantage of your kindness towards me? You’re damn right I did. Everything you once stood for as a woman of this industry is now tainted by your own good fortune. You lost yourself in the fight with Eva Marie and are now still picking up the pieces. With every moment in that ring, you started to think.. THINK you were on top of the world. You THOUGHT you were safe on the highest floor. You HAD A PLAN to keep fighting and that'll be all you had to do to survive one more match.. every match. Sooner or later, that fight runs out because you refused to go down different avenues. Your gameplan becomes memorized by people.. like me.. Mia Yim. Miss Flawless, let me tell you something.. you're flawed from head to toe. You wouldn't last with me, I'm a changed woman.. I'm a much more calculated woman. Your nice girl attitude won't do you well against me.

Mia shakes her pointer finger side to side saying “No" to that assessment.

Ken Michaels: Do you think you appeared rightful in your actions against Layla, even after she promptly took you under her wing?


The opportunity showed itself to me, an opening to making my own mark. I did that, with questionable antics and with a mark that you’re still feeling to this very day. Let’s put aside the warm welcome you gave me and the start you gave.. Me. Maybe this was too close to comfort but you saw me as a talent that would some day in the future be seen as a valuable contender for that belt you are holding.

Turning the notch from calm to erratic and starts to lay it into Layla with even more harsh words.


You don’t get to decide when or how my path to being Women’s Champion starts. You took me as a young aspiring little girl who had much to learn. Ken Michaels: We will see if that holds true, you certainly have a lot of confidence in your ability and that it will take you to new heights. Did you feel like you were justified after all you’ve caused. Minus your head injury as an excuse.


It was never an excuse, It’s been about getting to the top one or two ways. The easy way or the easier way. It’s funny to me because I’ve felt what it’s like to be at the bottom of the barrel. Michelle wanted to teach me a lesson and in that, she learned that payback is a bitch. She learned, playing with fire ultimately gets you burnt. You brought this upon yourself, you’re the reason why I am the way I am. I’m not mad at you for that, I’m mad at you for turning your back to me.. Turning your other cheek and seeing me as a stepping stone. I wasn’t good enough to hang with the likes of Michelle McCruel. Take this for size, each week after getting constant scans to check if there was any permanent damage swirling around up there. I watched you, and I was waiting for when that moment would come when I would be able to take away from you.. What you ALMOST took away from me. Your career.

Ken starts to get a nervous look on his face and switches the course of the interview that was getting out of control.

Ken Michaels: Wow, you’re hell bent on revenge a-

Mia pushes Ken away and looks straight into the camera shooting at Layla.


When a hot new rookie swept the scene, you remained defensive and you should of been. I’m not here to take part in a division, I’m here to be the division. Women Wrestlers around the world don’t always get their big break handed to them. With me, it’s always been survival of the fittest. The weak never survive for much longer than anticipated. This goes for you Layla, you were nice.. Generous and courageous. All in one, you mix that together and you have the heart of a champion. You being kind and trying to get my foot in the door with your help. Sweetie, there is no asterisk next to my name. It’s not with the help of Layla, I did this all on my own. You brought in competition, and competition is what YOU WILL GET. Your kindness was a weakness and I aim to exploit that weakness come Downpour. That is, if you’re able to show up after the mayhem. I, and only I have caused for you. There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide for I am with you.. All you have to do is look inside. Ken, the next time you’ll be seeing me is when I’m your new and forever Women’s champion.

Putting her hands into the pockets of her hoodie, she walks the other way out of the view with a lot of unhinged anger obviously. A screw must be loose, she has a distortion of reality and shows no remorse or feels her actions have zero consequences.The scene comes to an end with Ken holding the microphone to his side and The camera tilts down into the black.

The XWL cameras cut backstage as we find Renee Young with none other than the Celtic Warrior himself, Sheamus. The interview was already in process as Sheamus was talking as the cameras focus on him.



SHEAMUS
(ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED)
You see, it is not hard for me to be a success in and out of the ring Renee. I have done more in the span of six months than people have their entire careers. I am a two time champion, soon to be a three time champion. I have stared in a blockbuster movie. I faced down the turtles and I defeated all four of them and that was only the start of things for me. I am a franchise player now, in and outside the ring and to continue to grow, to continue to be successful, I need to get back MY title. The title I never truly lost, the title that was stolen from me. To do that I have to defeat three men and hell Renee, if I can defeat the ninja turtles of all things, then defeating Raven, Bray Wyatt and Cm Punk will be all too easy for me. Just another day at the office fella.

Just as he was about to continue to speak, his eyes glance up as he turns his head as he spots someone. The smirk grows on his face as he grins from ear-to-ear as he looks at this person who was now standing before him.

SHEAMUS
(ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED)
Now what do you want fella? An autograph? Some tips on how to be a champion? Or are you here to congratulate me on becoming a three time champion? Come on fella, spit it out!

The cameraman worked the camera and moved the frame away from Sheamus and turned so we could view the man who he was talking to. It might have been one of his opponents come Downpour, but tonight he's friend and not foe. He could've been foe but truth be told, for tonight only, it was best to consider the man a friend. It was CM Punk. The slight scowl on his face showed that he did not find what the Irishman said to be all that humorous.



The man lifts up his fist and extends his index finger.

[CM PUNK]
One, why would anyone ever want your autograph?

And then up came the middle finger.

[CM PUNK]
I'm a multi-time World Heavyweight Champion, a former winner off the Money in the Bank ladder match, and I could certainly go on and on about all the shit I've done here. Need I remind you I've done more than you I'm pretty sure. So basically, what I'm trying to say in the nicest of way is this; last thing I need from you is advice.

And lastly, his ring finger came up.

[CM PUNK]
Don't get too ahead of yourself, Pal. You've still got to go through me if you want that championship. And trust me when I say this, Raven and Wyatt are the least of your worries come Downpour. The two of them might be new best friends but you're dealing with the Best in the World come Sunday.

Then his hand clenched back into a fist as he brought it down.

[CM PUNK]
I'm here because I wanted to talk to you about our match, partner.

Sheamus would look Cm Punk up and down and just continues to smirk as he then raises his hand and brushes Renee Young away as she quickly retreats. Sheamus would then eye CM Punk up and down, not one bit afraid of the man as he takes a step towards him and then looks down at his boots.

SHEAMUS
(ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED)
Look here fella, I believe you should be thanking right about now. If it were not for me and my little temper, you would not have a title match at Downpour, rather you would not even be on the card, because honestly fella? What have you done in the last month to warrant a title match anyway? Nothing! You should be kissing my boots fella.

He looks down at his boots, clean as a whistle they were as he shrugs and then looks back up at CM Punk.

SHEAMUS
(ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED)
But Downpour, that's one week away and fella until then, me and you, we are a team, so say whatever you gotta say, because I am interested in knowing what the so called best in the world wants to say to me?

[CM PUNK]
Wow! And people say my head is way too far up my own ass.

He lets out a laugh as he shakes his head a little ways.

[CM PUNK]
I had myself a match with Bray Wyatt. I made the challenge and he accepted. It was supposed to be just the two of us doing ourselves a little tango in that ring. I was happy with that. I had what I wanted. I had the opportunity to beat Bray's ass up and down this ring. But you know what makes even happier? Knowing I get to kick Bray's ass and walk out as your new Intercontinental Champion. I'll thank Stephanie for that if I had to thank anyone.

Punk brought his arms up to his chest, crossing them loosely.

[CM PUNK]
You and I? We aren't friends, let alone allies. I don't like you and I'm sure as hell you don't like me. Never have, and we never will. That's not gonna change. I'm not going to pretend there's any chance of it happening. But I'm here to make sure we're going to be smart about all this. I'm not asking to form a team with you like Bray and Raven have. The last thing I want is to be known as the Punk with the Irish Drunk. But you and I, the both of us are as lone wolf as they come but neither of us are gonna walk out with shit if we can't put our differences aside just a little bit.

Sheamus would nod in agrement with what CM Punk had to say, there was no point in making things worse for himself tonight.

(ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED)
You know what fella, I respect you coming here and speaking to me, you are right. We have to be on the same page, the last thing I want to do is give those two fat bastards any more edge over me. The fact that one of them has my title and there are bite marks in it, it boils my blood! Fella, I don't like you and you don't like me, but we are in agreement here, we both hate Raven and Bray Wyatt, so me and you, I think we can work together, beat these two freaks and ensure that come Downpour, at least one of us walks out with the title, because deep down you know either me or you as champion would be better than either one of those two freaks. So I am going to work with you, put the past behind us and look ahead, me and you, on the same side, hell Raven and Bray won't even make it to Downpour fella.

And then a smirk pulled across the face of Punk.

[CM PUNK]
Smarter than you look, Sheamus. But I want you to know one thing...

Punk stepped a little closer to the Irishman, showing no fear despite the man being bigger, and well known stronger than the 'Best in the World' was.

[CM PUNK]
We might be on the same page but this doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on you because this isn't about beating them, in the end this is about winning the Intercontinental Championship now. If I'm given the chance I can, and I will, break a chair over your skull. I can, and I will, beat you like a bitch. I can, and I certainly will, lift you up and bring you down with a GTS and pin you for the one... two... three... Because I'm the Best in the World and trust me when I say come Downpour, I'm going to prove just that. Again.

And with a smug look on the challenger's face, Punk walks off leaving Sheamus alone now. The camera stays focused in on him until we bring ourselves to a commercial break.

This has been one of the most brutal fights i have ever seen. And trust me Maggle, I know a thing or two about fighting.

Joe and Braun both trade hard punches in the ring, both faces bloody. Both fists beaten raw. Joe hits the rope and charges Strowman with a clothesline, but Strowman manages to move out of the way grabbing Joe up for his finisher, he holds Joe up for a few seconds, Joe's blood dripping onto Strowman. But Strowman holds for a few seconds too long and Joe shifts his weight falling behind Strowman and hooking his leg, bringing him down into a roll up. The Ref falls to the mat for the count

What a victory for Samoa Joe!

JBL
What are you talking about? What victory, Strowman clearly had his hand on the rope!

Strowman sits up confused as Joe gets his arm raised by the ref. He looks at them and becomes enraged, he gets up and charges Joe, cracking him hard from behind. Joe stumbles a bit and turns around to a Big Boot, sending him over the top rope to the floor. Strowman moves his attention to the ref who looks on in terror. Strowman yells at him, that he had the rope. The Ref puts his hands up, claiming he never seen it. Strowman delivers a Big Boot to him as well. He picks up the ref and starts to toss him around the ring like a rag doll. Finally grabbing him by the collar and throwing out of the ring

COLE
Somebody stop this, this is a massacre!

Strowman goes to the floor and picks the ref up, repeatedly slamming his face into the side of the ring. Busting him open and knocking him out. He lets the ref fall to the ground. He stares down at him and then the steel steps. He goes and pulls them away from the ring, setting them down next to the ref.

COLE
Whats he doing now! My God!

Strowman puts the ref between his legs in a Powerbomb position, but before he can lift the ref up...



Stephanie comes out with Hunter, a mic in her hand



STEPHANIE
Enough!

Strowman looks at the ramp

STEPHANIE
We brought you here to destroy the Authorities enemies, not try and murder our staff. So, let him go, now!

Strowman lets go of the ref

STEPHANIE
You're angry, I get that. The ref messed up and we will deal with him. Not you! Save that anger for Downpour.

Strowman looks at them, still angry, but interested

STEPHANIE
Braun Strowman vs Samoa Joe in a Extreme Rules match. You want to get bloody and destroy? Then do it at Downpour.

Strowman smiles

STEPHANIE
Now get out of my ring!

Strowman nods, but before he leaves he grabs the arm of the ref and starts to drag him

STEPHANIE
leave the ref.

Strowman lets go of the ref and makes his way up the ramp disappointed, as The authority follow

COLE
What was he going to do with the ref?

JBL
Wolves gotta eat maggle

And with that we go to the next segment

The crowd that once cheered as Natalya managed to pick the win up against Alexa Bliss changed into a chorus of boos as all attention was directed to the stage. The song playing through the St. Louis arena was the theme of the woman Natalya would be facing at Downpour, that being The Boss, Sasha Banks.



[MICHAEL COLE]
Oh no! What's she doing out here?

[JBL]
Ready to send a message I'm sure! That Downpour won't be a walk in the park for Natalya.

The Boss started to make her way down the ramp and never once did she let her eyes leave the Hart Family member as she stood in the ring, ready to fight if that was what Sasha was bringing to her. But then Sasha began to do something a little unexpected. Her hands were brought up and she... was actually clapping. The Boss was actually applauding Natalya on her victory just mere moments ago. Something about the clap seemed off. It was slow and it just didn't seem like it was genuine. It just made you wonder what Sasha had up her sleeve.



[THE KING]
I don't trust her one bit, Michael. Something's fishy.

[MICHAEL COLE]
Maybe Natalya's speech the other week made Sasha think things over a little bit?

[JBL]
The only thing Nattie made Sasha re-think was ever letting Nattie hold a microphone again!

The same slow, unexpected applause continued until Sasha reached the bottom of the ramp. Her theme began to die down and it left the two opponents staring at one another, waiting for one of them to make some kind of move. But it wasn't either of them who ended up making a move on the other just a couple of days before their encounter at Downpour, rather the woman Natalya just beat a few minutes ago. It was Alexa Bliss who attacked the distracted Hart Family member from behind and sent her down to the mat thanks to the distraction by Sasha Banks.

[MICHAEL COLE]
That was totally uncalled for! Natalya had her back turned.

[THE KING]
But take a look at Sasha. You can tell she's happy to see this.

And just as King pointed out, Sasha's smile grew twice as wide and he actions seemed so much more genuine as she watched her opponent at Downpour be beaten down by the new comer to the Women's Division. But the experienced women began to fight back, not letting herself be taken down that easily. It looks like she was about to totally take control of the fight when suddenly her attention was shifted to this obnoxious shouting that came from behind her. Sasha Banks had climbed onto the apron and she stole Natalya's attention long enough for Alexa Bliss to take control of the brawl once again, with a cheap shot might I add.

[MICHAEL COLE]
You've gotta wonder if Sasha and Alexa had this planned or not.

[JBL]
Who cares! Nattie should know to NEVER turn her back on an opponent.

Sasha looked on now as Alexa dragged Natalya into position and proceeded to climb up the turnbuckle, readying herself to hit her finishing maneuver. One leap off the turnbuckle later and Alexa brought all of her weight down onto the Hart with her finishing maneuver, the Sparkle Splash. Alexa stood tall above Natalya as Sasha already moved herself off the apron and back to the floor below her. Both women wore confident smirks on their face, the only difference between the two was that Sasha resumed the clapping that began when she first came out from behind the curtain. This time it had more of a genuine feel and rhythm to it.





Instead of fading to a commercial break as one would expect...we're taken to a camera feed that shows XWL Women's Champion Layla standing by a monitor, apparently watching the entire match, and the post match shenanigans that ensued.





With the difficult situation she's found herself in, she's now forced to watch as the division, seemingly moves along without her...the champion is a non factor, while Natalya gathers a win, Alexa makes an impressive debut and a statement, and Sasha plays a bit of mind games with her opponent at Downpour. Layla however, can do nothing but stand there...stand there and watch the show, just like every fan in attendance and watching at home, she's not apart of tonight's show, and you know that pains her.






Sasha continues applauding on the monitor, Natalya lies on the mat, while Alexa acts as if she's the greatest thing ever, despite this being her first night in XWL. Layla's eyes don't shift from the monitor, she doesn't utter a word, she just stares...wishing it was her that could do anything like what she just witnessed, but she can't tonight, and if she's not cleared by XWL's medical staff in time for Downpour next week, she won't be doing it then either...A few more seconds pass until we fade away from The Women's Champion, and to a hype video for CM Punk.

Anarchy returns from it's regularly scheduled commercial break and we are sent into a dimly lit room backstage. In said room sat three chairs and in each of those chairs sat a different man. The first was Michael Cole, the man who we could only assume was conducting whatever this was. In another sat the Advocate of the Beast Incarnate, Paul Heyman. The last chair held the man who would be facing Brock Lesnar at the upcoming Pay-Per-View event, that being the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles.



[MICHAEL COLE]
Hello everyone, and welcome back to the show. I'm Michael Cole and I am here to conduct an interview between two men who haven't exactly been on the best of terms as of late. One's client attacked the man sitting to my left, and all of that has led to a submission match happening at Downpour between AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar. Gentlemen, it's a pleasure having you.

[PAUL HEYMAN]
It's always a pleasure being in my presence, Michael.

And Michael Cole rolled his eyes as Paul flashed a wide smile.

[MICHAEL COLE]
Anyways, my first question is for you, AJ. Everyone here know's that you are, without any doubts, one of the best wrestlers in the world today. But I don't think you've ever faced a man like Brock Lesnar. The man just... He's not human. He's a freak of nature. He's truly a Beast. Which makes me wonder... Are you at all nervous heading into this match? Maybe even a little scared?



(AJ Styles)
We'll you're right on that 1st point Michael, I am without a doubt one of the best wrestlers in the world. Quite frankly, I consider myself to be THEE best wrestler in the world today, and I don't say that out of arrogance, I say it because I truly believe it. If I don't go out there every night thinking I'm the best, then I shouldn't be here... I go out there every single night to prove to the world just how "Phenomenal" AJ Styles really is, and without that, I'm nothing......

(AJ Styles)
You're also right on your 2nd point, I've never faced a man like Brock Lesnar... He's everything he says he is at the end of the day, he's bigger than me, he's stronger than me, and he's without a doubt a freak of nature. People are calling me the underdog going into this match, and I'm okay with that. I've been the underdog for my entire career as a professional wrestler...Facing guys like Samoa Joe and Matt Morgan week in and week out over the years, I was always the underdog, but guess what Cole??? I found a way to win....

(AJ Styles)
What I lack in size and strength, I make up for with my speed, agility, and my mind for innovative and creative offense in the ring. No matter how much of an underdog I've been throughout my career, I've still consistently gotten the job done. So to answer your question, I'm not afraid of Brock Lesnar...I know what he brings to the table, and at Downpour, he's gonna find out that I have the Blueprint to defeat him in the middle of that ring, and even better, make him tap out in front of millions of people around the world, it'll be a moment that people will NEVER forget, mark my words......

[MICHAEL COLE]
Fair enough AJ, my next question is for you Mr. Heyman. Does Brock Lesnar even consider AJ Styles to be a threat of any sort to him in the middle of that ring? and if we could also get your thoughts on what Mr. Styles just said a few moments ago...



[PAUL HEYMAN]
Before I answer your question, Michael, I'd like to point something out. Mr. Styles here didn't answer every piece of your question, as if he was avoiding a specific part of it. Obviously if he wasn't nervous about stepping into the ring with Brock Lesnar then he would have no problems answering the question, right? But he didn't even address that part. This leads me to saying that it's okay if you are nervous about stepping into the ring with my client, AJ, because most individuals are. It's nothing new. You certainly wouldn't be the first and you won't be the last.

Paul wore a cheeky smile on his face as his eyes glanced over at AJ Styles for a split second before turning back.

[PAUL HEYMAN]
I've seen Mr. Styles' matches with men like Samoa Joe and Matt Morgan and I will admit that they are impressive bouts, but just because the two of them are big in size, that doesn't mean you can compare them to my client. My client, as stated earlier, is a freak of nature. Something that only comes around once in a lifetime. Brock Lesnar is one in a million. My client sees no man as a threat because when you are a Beast, it is you who people see as a threat and not the other way around. Do you think the man walking into a fight with a gun is afraid of the man walking into a fight with a knife?



[PAUL HEYMAN]
Surely he's not because the man has a gun held in his hands. So, to answer your question in a more simple manner; no, my client does not see AJ Styles as a threat. My client knows that AJ Styles is no walk in the park and he respects the enthusiasm and the determination, which you just saw, that he holds but he does not see him as a threat. He sees him as a stepping stone in his path to becoming this company's World Heavyweight Champion and nothing more.

[MICHAEL COLE]
And back to you, AJ. My question for you is this: Do you think Brock Lesnar has the advantage heading into this Sunday's Submission match? I know you have the Calf Killer in your moveset, and we've seen just how effective it is, but Brock Lesnar is a former MMA fighter who was trained to break out of submission holds and make people tap out specifically.



(AJ Styles)
That may be Michael, but I don't recall Brock's "special training" helping him very much back at UFC 81 in 2008 when he got Kneebarred by Frank Mir. To answer your question though, no I do not believe Brock has an advantage over me going into this submission match. He may have had special training over the years to help him when he stepped into the cage, but as far as I'm concerned, it didn't help him very much. And quite frankly, that's the octagon, that's a whole nother world, but this world, the world that Brock Lesnar is stepping into at Downpour, it's my world.....

(AJ Styles)
I never ran away to another sport when the going got tough, I stuck it out and I made a name for myself for over 15 freaking years in this business, so trust me when I tell you, I know this business inside and out, but more specifically, I know that ring inside and out, and I know for a fact that I've tapped out WAYYYY more people with my Calf Killer than Brock Lesnar ever has with his Kimura and Brock Lock....

(AJ Styles)
The way I see it, is Brock Lesnar's the one at the disadvantage going into Downpour, he's rusty, he doesn't show up every single night like I do, he shows up when the paycheck's big enough for him...That's the way he operates, but let me tell you something, that DAMN SURE AIN'T THE WAY AJ STYLES OPERATES......

(AJ Styles)
I go out there every night for those fans and put on a show for them because at the end of the day, those are the people putting food on my families table, those hard working blue collar citizens who work their assess off all week long and spend their hard earned cash on a ticket to watch us perform. So rain or shine, hurt or not hurt, AJ Styles goes out there every single night and performs, and I just happen to to tap alot of people out as well. In my opinion, the Calf Killer's the most dangerous submission in pro wrestling at the moment, and I'm the master of it... and come Downpour, I'm gonna snap Brock Lesnar's leg in half with EASE........

[MICHAEL COLE]
Okay Mr. Heyman I'll direct my next question towards you, is there any merit to what AJ just said? Is their any issue of ring rust hampering Brock Lesnar at the moment? Maybe you could give us some insight into Brock's preparation and training going into this match. and also, do you believe the Calf Killer is more dangerous than any submission Brock Lesnar brings to the table?



[PAUL HEYMAN]
How stupid are you, Michael? Ring rust? You're asking that question as if my client, Brock Lesnar, hasn't competed in a wrestling ring now for a couple of years when, in reality, it's been approximately two weeks. There is no ring rust on my client. You don't get ring rust for being away from something for two weeks. My client is as ready as he's ever been. And I refuse to let you know how my client is training with his opponent sitting right across from me. What do you think I am? Stupid? Why on earth would I show my playbook with the opposite team's coach sitting right there?

[MICHAEL COLE]

[PAUL HEYMAN]
No, I don't want to hear it. You're done here. My client and I are busy, busy men and we don't have the time to waste it on people like you who are stupid. If anyone is going to ask the questions from now on, it's going to be ME.



[PAUL HEYMAN]
Mr. Styles, this next question is for you now that Michael Cole is no longer in a position to ask them. How does it feel knowing your family is going to watch a live murder take place this Sunday at Downpour? How does it feel knowing little Anney is going to grow up without a Father once my client, Brock Lesnar, brutalizes and victimizes her father to the point where it'll be best to just put him down like the bitch he is? How does it feel knowing you will look down from the heavens above to see your wife marrying another man because after this Sunday, she'll have to find another man to live the rest of her life with because she will proudly wear the title of being a widow and the man she can thank for that is my client... BROCK LESNAR.



A look of sheer anger comes over AJ's face before he suddenly leaps from his chair and tackles the seated Paul Heyman to the ground. AJ grabs him by the throat with both hands and appears to be strangling the life out of him. Michael Cole attempts to pull AJ off of Heyman, but he's no wrestler or strongman, he simply does not posses the strength to get this enraged and unhinged AJ Styles off of Paul Heyman.

[Michael Cole]
WE NEED SECURITY IN HERE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(AJ Styles)
DON'T YOU EVER MENTION MY FAMILY YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!! YOU HEAR ME!!!!! IF YOUR FAT FUCKING MOUTH EVER UTTERS MY FAMILIES NAMES AGAIN I'LL KI.........

Before AJ can finish his sentence he's tackled by multiple security guards, Heyman gasps for air as he's pulled to the other side of the room by a few other security guards. AJ is lifted to his feet by security and is held on the opposite side of the room to keep a maximum distance from the still recovering Paul Heyman.

YOU JUST SIGNED YOUR DEATH WARRANT YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!! I'M NOT ONLY GONNA END BROCK LESNAR AT DOWNPOUR, I'M GONNA END YOU AS WELL!!!!!!!

Styles becomes more and more unhinged to the point where the security team is forced to remove Paul Heyman from the room in an effort to calm things down. However, the situation with AJ Styles is still completely out of hand, he's LOST IT, therefore XWL producers make the decision to send Anarchy to a commercial break.

AJ can't believe it, Ziggler has kicked out of the Bloody Sunday after a close 2 count from the referee. AJ is in disbelief, but he quickly re-focuses on trying to put Ziggler away. AJ turns to Dolph and signals that it's time for the Styles Clash!!! AJ grabs an exhausted Ziggler and places him between his legs to setup for the Clash when all of a sudden.............................



The crowd leaps out of their seats as the theme of the "Beast Incarnate" hits the airwaves within the arena. A strong portion of the XWL fanbase can't stand Brock Lesnar, but they also realize that it's a rare occasion for Brock to show up on an episode of Anarchy, so that confliction within the crowd leads to a decent amount cheers directed at the sound of Lesnar's music.

AJ Styles is caught off guard by the sound of Lesnar's music and realizes Downpour may have just come early, he realizes he could be in for the fight of his life RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW!!! AJ releases his hold on Ziggler and turns to face the stage, he signals the beast to step out of the curtain and bring the fight to the ring. The theme plays for a good 20 seconds before someone steps through the curtain, and trust me it's not the man people were expecting, it's none other then Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman!!!!

Paul stands on a stage with the biggest smile on his face, he points directly at AJ and says "YOU LOSE BITCH!!!" Before AJ can even gather a thought on what exactly that means, he is slammed down the mat back first with a Zig Zag from Dolph Ziggler. The ref drops down to the mat to make his count as the crowd holds their breath hoping that somehow, someway, AJ can kick out of this pinfall, but sadly he's not able too. The ref counts 3 and it's all over, Dolph Ziggler has beaten AJ Styles with a major assist from Paul Heyman.....



The crowd begins to boo loudly at the sound of Ziggler's theme, but most of those boo's are clearly directed at Paul Heyman who's still standing on the stage with an ultra smug look on his face. Dolph hops over one of the barricades and makes his way to the locker room through one of the arena tunnels. Meanwhile AJ Styles pounds the mat with his fist in anger as Paul Heyman's mind games have gotten the better of him tonight.

What's gonna happen at Downpour??? Will AJ Styles be able to overcome the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar in a submission match??? or will Paul Heyman have some tricks up his sleeve to guide his client to victory??? Tune in next week to find out!!!

Looks like Zayn wants to say something before we start this match up.

Sami takes off his hat and Jacket as he begins to speak

I have a few things I need to say before we begin... First thing, Adam Cole pretending that our match this Sunday isn't much worth his time as he has yet to comment about said match. Seems to me he's A. Overly cocky or B. Is just to afraid to even speak about the match because he knows how much of a beat down it'll be. Cole, You may be the King but all your royal jewels have gone missing.

The crowd is heard saying"OHHHHH"as Sami begins to chuckle a bit



Zayn
Nah I'm just joking Cole, you never even had any to lose in the first place!

The crowd starts chanting"NO JEWELS NO JEWELS NO JEWELS!"

Alright alright alright, to now get to my second reason as I do have a match I want....Something I used to hold in SOOL...

The crowd starts getting excited for this possibility

Raven, after I get done with Cole, I'm going to do everything in my power to get a shot at that Intercontinental Championship, so you make sure to hold onto it for me, that is if you can even defend it this Sunday.

Sami tosses his mic down and motions for Jeff Hardy to come out.[/i]

Really Maggle how many times do I have to say it? HE'S THE KINGDOM BAYBAY! He can do what he wants!

A microphone already in hand, through the curtain he goes in casual wear and he stands still soaking in the mixed reactions as the curtain moves behind him. Power walking down the stage and then the ramp itching the side of his head. Taking a slow walk up the steps and talking while ducking inside the 2nd rope.

[JBL]
The face to face before the race! The tension is in the air, ah don’t you love it maggle?

Let’s cut to the chase, not only is this demoralizing.. This flat out is begging for attention in every way possible.. Plain and simple. You do know, the only reason your name hasn’t left these beautiful lips is because you’re not worth the two feet you’re standing on in my ring. When I told you to leave my ring, and get a few “experience points” it wasn’t a friendly suggestion.

Cole turns the mic and goes closer to Sami smirking as he says this.

You think trying to turn these moronic half wits against me changes anything between you and I this Sunday. You’re walking down the most dangerous path playing the most dangerous game. Bring your rat pack that you call fans and I’ll bring myself to show you what it’s like to be a professional wrestler. To be humiliated for the sake of humility once in your pathetic life. You wanted me to come out here and settle the score, antagonize you so you’d be able to prove me wrong. What you’re showing is an act of cowardice you said I showed.


Putting his palm on the shoulder of Sami who slaps it off drawing a fist clenching it tightly.

Even for you, it’s a whole new low and with that being said I’m going to offer you a peace offering out of the deepest part of my heart. To allow you to walk into Downpour with a downpour of excitement and a single thread of dignity. What do you say, we throw it to the wind and it’s you and I putting on the match of our life.

Adam takes the hand that Sami rejected on his shoulder when he was getting a stern talking to and places it besides the hand that Zayn slapped him off with. Put it there pal he says to Zayn who is rubbing his chin and looking around at the fans for what his next move should be.

Zayn snatches Cole's mic, which doesn't sit well with him.

Zayn
Eww, gross. Get that hand away from me I know where thats been.

Zayn slowly pushes Cole's hand away with his foot as Cole gets even angrier.



Zayn
You think I'm a coward? Last time I checked I haven't had a problem saying any of this to your face, you also seem to think calling me and my fans a Rat Pack is an insult? We are like rats, we scratch, claw and work for everything we have and will get and through it all we stick together. Which is more than I can say for you and your one follower. Just wait until Sunday Adam, we will put on one hell of a match but its just going to end like your Title reign did. Abruptly, and nothing but regret and emptiness in your heart. Let me dig into John Cenas book and hit you with a little rap..... You may think the Zayniacs and I are just fools, but the one thing we know is ADAM COLE HAS

Zayn holds the mic into the air as the fans yell "NO JEWELS", Cole looks extremely displeased. Zayn tosses the mic back at Cole as Cole seems to be losing his cool.

THIS is the problem with you Sami, you're not seeing the bigger picture in all of this. One thing is for sure, the immaturity you're giving me was expected. I knew you'd pander to everyone here so you can be seen as having generated heat guided towards me. You worked your ass off, is that right? You worked real hard to pull those insults together. You're about unity, I'm about uno, one guy because at the end of the day, that's ALL who matters! Nobody has your back, when you step into that ring on Sunday, it's you and Adam freaking Cole. I get it, this is all in good fun and you're acting like the true clown I know you are to be. It's to hide the possibility that I am able to erase you.. it takes 3 seconds. You can keep your heart beating to the very last minute because when the true reality sets in. Not the one you made for your own personal enjoyment. Only then, will you start to see everything slipping from your fingers even with the tightest grip. Much like that belt you had before, you won't see it coming.

That rap you did on me, I gotta say.. it was real cute you almost had me going there. This isn't about will this isn't about heart, this is about who can dish it and who can take it. I am certain I will take you to your absolute limit and have you lying on your back counting the ceiling tiles. Your fans will turn against you, when they see Sami get so close but yet.. so far.

Pointing all over the arena to the Sami Zayn t shirts worn by multiple adults in their mid 30's.

You will let them down, after a valiant effort and then afterwards. When you come to accept the caliber of wrestler I am, and want to show we put on THE match by congratulating me.

Taking a moment to push his hair behind his ears and crinkles his nose.

Adam drops the mic seemingly out of no where and charges at Sami with full intent of hurting him with a straight blow to the head but gets caught by the reaction time of Sami as Sami ducks Coles punch and hits him with a HUGE Blue Thunder Bomb! Cole rools out of the ring and falls onto the floor.


Zayn takes his shirt off and throws it at Cole. Cole crawls up the ramp clutching his neck and yelling profanities at Sami.

Zayn yells "COME ON BAYBAY" at Cole as he stares into the sea of Zaniacs



We go to the next segment as Zayn stands tall and Cole scrambles his way into the back.

 

Music blasts throughout the arena, as we see none other than the greatest man that ever lived Austin Aries come walking from behind the curtain. The crowd erupts as we see a sharply dressed Aries walks down the ramp towards the ring. Aries enters a ring and motions for a microphone.

Austin Aries:
So I was coming out here to settle the score with Cody Rhodes but I take it he is no longer with us.

The crowd boos lightly thinking Aries may have something to do with it.

Austin Aries:
Now now, I had nothing to do with him leaving that was all his own decision. So now we're a week away from downpour and I'm without an opponent, until I heard through the wind there's a certain "Open Hunt" challenge laid out by a certain Leo Kruger. Well I'm out here to announce that I'm accepting the challenge at downpour.

The crowd cringes because they know the capability of Kruger.

Austin Aries:
Now I have no idea what I'm getting myself into or how Kruger is because honestly I'm usually napping backstage when he wrestles, But believe you me, come downpour I will see the capability of Leo Kruger, and Leo Kruger will know why I am "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" Austin Healy Aries!!!

Aries drops the mic and proceeds to get out of the ring when Leo Kruger appears on the titiantron.

Leo Kruger laughs hysterically as Austin Aries begins looking around his surrounding to find out where the laugh is coming from. He finally looks up to see Kruger on the titiantron.



.:Leo Kruger:.
You have noooo clue what you have signed self up for. You claim you are napping during my matches. Don't make me laugh. I believe you are terrified of what you've seen from me, and my brothers.

The background light begins to flicker, and then turns off. Kruger smiles with confidence all over his face.



.:Leo Kruger:.
As you should be. Your reasoning for accepting my open challenge is quite puzzling to me to say the least, but either way you shall make an excellent trophy for my collection...

Kruger leans into, and begins to whispers.

.:Leo Kruger:.
Let this be a warning to Austin Aries...

Kruger's voice returns to regular speaking volume.

.:Leo Kruger:.
You will be hunted down like a animal at Downpour.

Kruger giggles in delight.

Psychically you will not be the same man that walks into the arena at Downpour, because we aren't just going to have a normal match. no.. no no.. Mr. Aries, we are going to have an extreme rules match. You will be in my domain, and you will not like the way I treat my guests.

Kruger laughs hysterically as the camera as the camera fades to black. The camera goes pans back to Austin Aries who still looking up at the titiantron who appears to be gathering his thoughts.

So like, the servers decided that in 3 hours we'd only be given one minute of actual footage, so like...Matt rolls out of the ring following that powerbomb, EY chases him, they brawl, Sydal rolls EY back in at 9, and then hops up on apron, then hops off cause like fuck this handicap, right? Then goes to leave, Stephanie comes out like the bitch she is, is like seriously you're going to run away like a coward? You know, emasculate him like she does. Then this will distract him long enough for Suke/EY to be like yo bitch we ain't done, toss him in the ring, do an EY driver, a kinshasha, stand over him shouting that at Downpour he'll finally get his just, as Renee is somewhere backstage trying to find someone that isn't gonna call her a slut to interview.

Late into the match after the last strike is landed. The two are both dazed and confused feeling hazy from the energy expanded and then lost. Mia goes chest to chest with Nikki and the two have a quick staredown. Grinding their teeth and widening their eyes, the crowd even gets into it cheering them on. The camera zooms straight in after Yim hits a forearm! The camera zooms out as Nikki stumbles out of view. Nikki fires back with a forearm of her own! This goes on for another 2 more times and it's all out battle of the forearms. Blasting each other over and over hanging onto each other's free arm shot for shot it carries on. The referee tries to go between them to break it up and gets shoved out of the way almost caught in the crossfire. Storm and Yim are speeding up as the crowd OOOH and AHHH'S. The referee throws the match out with fists flying this time and no more forearms. Finally hitting each other loopy, they back off and catch their breath receiving many loud bangs on the barricade for their showing.







As we see referees still holding Nikki Storm and Mia Yim back from their brutal match that has ended due to the referee disqualifying both women for not "letting up." We then find ourselves with a view of once again XWL Women's Champion Layla, watching backstage on a monitor. It's still difficult for her to be in this kind of situation, to be champion, and forced to watch as the division proves it's merit. As she sees the brutality that she knows full and well, brutality she's survived in the form of Hell in a Cell and just about every kind of gimmick match there is...she should be there, in that ring, mixing it up with two of XWL's newest brutal foes in Nikki Storm, and one of the current number one contenders Mia Yim...but instead, she's standing there as a spectator.






There's no hiding the frustration on her face, last week was very tough for her, and it's just one week away until the moment of truth...she's scheduled to defend the championship on her shoulder in a Triple Threat Match at Downpour, against Mia Yim, and Michelle McCool. But if she's not medically cleared in time for that match, then it will go on without her, and much like her Women's title reign brought her full circle, having to give up a championship she never lost, again....would REALLY take things back to where they all started.






She's not spoken a word tonight, she's just been watching the action, but sometimes it's what you don't say that tells us all we need to really know. She isn't cheerfully smiling, she's not dressed to compete, so that brings us to one conclusion...she's still not medically cleared, and that means...Downpour, could be the downfall of her reign, and not in the traditional sense. Still locked on the scene at ringside, Layla doesn't notice that Tom Phillips has stepped onto the set, perhaps looking to break Layla's silence.


[Tom Phillips]
Excuse me Layla, may I have word?


Staring still at the screen, it's as if she's too consumed with her impending match at Downpour to hear him. But after a couple of seconds, she's turns, and with an almost...defeated look on her face, Layla nods.


[Tom Phillips]
I have to ask, is there any update regarding your medical condition? Will you be able to compete in your championship defense at Downpour?



Again, we can see the answer in her eyes, they're not lit up at the excitement over that match...they're dim, dim like the hope that is fading away as each passing hour goes by, that she isn't cleared.


[Layla]
The only update is that there isn't one...I've been by the medic since this morning, begged him to do more tests, to see if there's...any...change, and as of about an hour ago, there's nothing. No ray of hope, no definitive conclusion, just a whole lot of confusion.


[Tom Phillips]
I'm very sorry to hear that, do you not feel any better at all?



[Layla]
Physically, I feel fine...but that doesn't matter, I mean I've been through brutal matches like the one I just saw between Nikki Storm and, that woman...I'm not some delicate little flower, I'm one of the most tough women that have stepped foot in this company...if it were up to me, I'd be out there wrestling tonight, but I'm not, because it's not...the same woman that survived HELL IN A CELL, THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER, is forced to stand here and watch everyone else do what I....do DAMN well. For Eight years, OVER that, I have proven myself to be a threat, to be...more than just some pretty face, yet...here I stand looked at as some fragile little thing. AFTER EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING...that I've done, for this...this to be where I'm at, it hurts.



[Tom Phillips]
Do you think Downpour is out of reach then?


[Layla]
I'll never think that, because I've proven that I am NOT to be underestimated. Does it look bad? Okay sure, it does...I'm a week away from the night I HAVE to be cleared, to be able to keep this, or at least try...to keep it. But if I'm not, there's no trying...it's just gone, like that...my hard fought return to the ring on the grand stage, over...like that. I just, I don't understand why this happened, why after surviving everything that's come my way up to this point, why this looks like one storm I can't weather. Why, I'm doomed to essentially relive this nightmare over and over...and OVER...again! I'm trying so, so very hard...to be positive, to believe I'll be given a clean bill of health when I arrive at The American Airlines Center in Miami...but, if I'm truly honest, I just don't know anymore.


Layla goes to speak again when suddenly we hear someone clear their throat and we hear footsteps approach towards the Women's Champion. As the camera pans outward it appears to be none other than Michelle McCool. Michelle looks at the title before looking up at Layla. She can see the hurt in her eyes and the fact that Layla's not in control of what's going to happen and how it's eating away at her. Michelle raises her hands slightly and speaks as Tom puts the microphone towards her

Hey Hun, I couldn't help but overhear you back here with Tom, and I just had to come check on y'all and see how you were doing. After everything that went down last week I just wanted to come here, gal to gal, and clear the air. What happened last week got out of hand. You know it and I know it but that doesn't' change the fact that if I hadn't come out there who knows what Mia would've done. I know y'all ain't gonna wanna hear this but, as someone who's known you for years Lay, maybe it's a good thing Steph's being cautious? I'm not saying y'all can't handle youself out there. I just want you to realize, much like I have lately that, we ain't exactly spring chickens hun. That being said I know how much y'all love that title and I hate that Steph's putting you through this, but, at the same time I'd rather fight y'all at your best than your worst. Just do what I know you always do. Keep your head up and push through this. If anyone can prove these people wrong it's you.


[Layla]
Look, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but just don't...don't try to stand there and act like you're my friend, that you have my best interest at heart, because just two weeks ago, you were willing to do anything to take this from me...even at the expense of our friendship. How am I supposed to believe that suddenly you're looking out for me, instead of yourself? With that being said, I do want to thank you for coming out there last week, like you said...who knows what she would have done, if I'd have even had the small chance of competing at Downpour that I do now. She could have finished the job, eliminated me for good, but you know...it's like I didn't care, that I was so hell bent on finding out why she did what she did, that I was willing to take the risk. I was nothing but nice to her, while you...you were horrible to her, in EVERY way, yet...you're not the one in jeopardy of being unable to compete at Downpour, I am...how is that fair? That after everything I've been through, that this....this is my fate, to stand here as champion, and know that I might lose this, again....due to circumstances outside of my control.

Michelle stands stunned trying to take in all of what Layla just said. On the one hand everything Layla just said was right. Michelle did try to send a message to her that she wants to be on top. In that same vein Michelle knows she's always going to have a soft spot for Layla and try and be there for her in any way shape or form. She sighs and walks closer to her and then speaks slowly

Y'all have every right to be mad at me right now. All of the things you've said are true. Lay everything I did there's no excuse for it and I have nobody to blame but myself. You know how far we go back and I guess I just let the fight for that championship get to my head. I didn't realize it until she came out there and threatened to do who knows what she was going to do that, sometimes, there's more to this place than championships. I lost that along the way and of all the things it took.. one hell of a brawl but.. y'all are always going to be my best friend and I'll always have your back. Yes that is something we'll BOTH be fighting for at Downpour. Yes y'all heard me right. Both of us are going to step into that ring. You're a fighter Lay and I know when it comes down to it the best woman will win. If I haven't said it enough I'm sorry hun, and, after all is said and done you'll always be a true champion to me because you never let anything get in your way. So how about it? At Downpour we show these people what true women's wrestling is?

I'd love to do that, but it's not exactly up to me, is it? I know my health is important, especially since I've been doing this for so long, but it just...it really hurts 'Chelle, to be so defenseless, to be...scheduled to defend this title next week, and not know if I'll even be in that match. You've been one of my best friends, and my worst enemies...so it means a lot that you seem to be so concerned for me, I just can't seem to shake the fear that, this reign...all the hard work I put in to return on the grand stage, to dethrone The Evil Queen, it's all going to be for nothing because, it's just being taken from me...I don't want that! I want someone, to beat me for this...to have a hard fought match, that proves what women are capable of inside that ring, and for them to best to me...not to be excluded from that match entirely like it seems I will be...

I know it does Lay and it sucks. Y'all know I know how firm Stephanie can be but at the end of the day I hope she'll do right by us and by these people and do what's "Best For Business" because she speaks so much about how Women's Wrestling is on the rise. Well it wouldn't be on the rise again if it wasn't for you. So I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit by and let you not compete in one of the biggest matches of your career. You're the one who helped put Women's Wrestling on the map for this company. I know how hard y'all have fought for it and I know how much you don't want it to be taken from you so do what I know you do best. You fight for your rights as champion and if they see that fire and that desire that you still have left then they'll do the right thing. Or else this place has some pretty messed up people running it and I should know a thing or two about messed up lately. Point is if you don't want it to end it doesn't have to. You and only you can show them that but I'll be here regardless.



Michelle's words echo through Layla's ears as she looks down at the floor, gazing to the side at her championship still resting on her shoulder. This is the kind of talk she needed, things don't look great for her right now, but she's never given up through her time in XWL, so why start now? Layla finally stares back at her once friend, sister, partner, enemy, and smiles.


[Layla]
You're right, no doctor, Stephanie, or ANYONE else...is taking this from me without a HARD fight! I have done too damn much, worked TOO damn hard, FOUGHT too damn hard to sit by and let them strip me of this championship, not again, NOT EVER....again! I'm competing at Downpour, I'm beating you, and I'm beating that blue haired bitch that decided to try and eliminate me from the equation. Because REAL TALK, I am The XWL...Women's....CHAMPION! And I will continue to be, until someone BEATS me...in that ring, and not ANY other way!


The other half of the once Lay-Cool smiles back at her friend, happy to see that she's snapped out of the state of defeat she fell under.

That's the Layla I know, that's the woman I was proud to run this division with, and it's the champion I can't wait to step in the ring with at Downpour. Because we are going to have a....FLAWLESS...match for the ages!


With that, Michelle then extends her arms out wide, motioning for a hug...it's something that Layla almost isn't sure how to respond to. Just a few weeks ago they were enemies, they've been enemies many times before, but they've also been friends just as many times...Layla looks at Michelle, then without further hesitation, wraps her arms around her fellow Lay-Cool sister, embracing in a hug. A few moments seconds pass, then this touching moment comes to an end as Layla pulls away, then with a determined look in her intense eyes, she holds her hand out to Michelle.

Now let's go do what Lay-Cool does best, terrorize this doctor, annoy the bloody hell out of him, until he clears me to compete! Because if they think I'm going down without a fight? They've got another thing coming, and that's the wrath of a scorned champion!



Again, seeing Layla so fired up brings a great joy to Michelle, she takes her hand, then the two head off, to find the doctor, and anyone else that's trying to prevent the division's champion from competing for the richest prize in it, HER prize. It's obviously not going to be that simple, but you can't blame a girl for trying. She's not letting this reign end like her last Women's Title reign, and you have to admire her tenacity. But will she be cleared in time for the Triple Threat Match at Downpour, or will we be guaranteed the crowning of a NEW XWL Women's Champion?
