HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Wrestlemania-pyro-o

The cats in charge of special effects have really gone out with this incredible pyro display. Lights are flashing everywhere and the thousands of people packed into Soldier Stadium are already fired up, cheering their hearts out as XWL’s biggest show of the year comes to Chicago.

The camera pans around the arena and to no one’s surprise many of these fans are sporting their finest CM Punk gear and it doesn’t take long for them to burst out into a chant of the hometown hero’s name. He was able to stand tall at the end of Breakdown, but can he do the same tonight? One fan is holding a “If Rollins wins, we riot” sign, and the Chicago crowd is a rowdy enough bunch that such a thing is definitely possible.

But, not everyone here is only supporting CM Punk, people have come from all over the world to witness this historic, epic event live, and that’s reflected in the wide range of fans we have packed into the stadium tonight. There’s a fan with an Alex Shelley-esque dye job. One girl is showing off the headbands in her hair, clearly hoping that Bayley retains her title tonight. One really cool guy is where a “Fight, Owens, Fight” shirt. You get all kinds of people at events like this and that’s what makes it so special. The camera moves away from the cheering crowd and settles on the incredibly superfluous three-man announce comprised of Jerry “The King” Lawler, Michael “please retire” Cole and of course, good ol’ Jim Ross.

-Jim Ross-
Welcome folks to Final Stand VII! You can already feel it in the air, guys, this is going to be a special night. The fans are already worked up, the matches are going to be fantastic, this could very well be the Final Stand that tops them all.

-Michael Cole-
It’ll definitely have a strong case for the best of all time, if Seth Rollins manages to walk away with both the Intercontinental Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. In just a couple of hours he will cement his legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers, if not the greatest in XWL, history.

-Jerry Lawler-
You’re forgetting he’s going up against the man who arguably holds that crown. CM Punk has been through it all and done it all and winning the main event at Final Stand will just be another feather in his cap.

-Jim Ross-
CM Punk and Paul Heyman don’t seem to be on the same page, at least as far as Heyman’s antics during Punk’s matches are concerned and Heyman meddling with Eric Young.

-Michael Cole-
Don’t you blame the great Paul Heyman for that. It was that joke, EY who ran off scared. He saved the main event of Final Stand, because now Punk will have someone who can outwrestle him standing across the ring.

-Jerry Lawler-
Normally I’d say Punk has to be wary because of the impending presence of J & J Security who played a major role in getting Seth into the match, with Stephanie McMahon, of course, but I don’t think they’ll have much left in the tank after that ladder match.

-Jim Ross-
The Intercontinental Championship will be hanging high in the air as Stephanie has found a loophole to grant Seth yet another shot at the title. Sometimes it really is not what you know, but who you know.

-Michael Cole-
Well I bet Shelley doesn’t know whether or not Dean Ambrose will even bother to show up to the match. Ambrose has nothing at stake, and this could end up being a handicap match!

-Jerry Lawler-
Whoever ends up challenging Bayley for the diva’s championship will be wrestling at a handicap because they would have already competed in two matches in the same night!

-Jim Ross-
That diva’s tournament is going to be a real test of endurance, but you’re right, King: Bayley will have the advantage because her opponent will have been so worn out at that point.

-Michael Cole-
It’s obvious this is just a ruse to make Bayley look like a fair champion by giving all the other diva’s a chance, but at the end of the day I see through her ploy: she’s just looking for the easy way out while making people think she’s innocent with her stupid hugs and headbands.

-Jerry Lawler-
Well much like Bayley, Adam Cole is coming into the show having absolutely no idea who he’ll be facing. Many suspect it’ll be Tyson Kidd, but after he’s already lost twice to Cole, many are feeling that he may not be deserving of a shot.

-Jim Ross-
Well one thing I know is that Christian is going to deserve everything that Triple H will do to him tonight after Christian tried to end the game with his own signature weapon.

-Michael Cole-
Oh boo hoo! Triple H has used that damn sledgehammer for years and didn’t care who he took out with it. He even hit his so-called best friend over the back with it for crying out old. This is called getting a taste of your own medicine.

-Jerry Lawler-
That’s definitely what Vince McMahon has in mind as he steps into the ring for the first time in ages against a very cold-blooded Kevin Owens.

-Jim Ross-
We all watched in horror as Owens took out Breakdown’s general manager right in front of her father’s eyes. That match was already bound to be physical, but when you put these men inside of Hell in a Cell, I can’t imagine how one, if not both, of these won’t be stretched out of here. We’re just going to have to wait to see how everything plays out folks, but I can’t wait to see what everyone has I store. This wouldn’t be XWL if there weren’t some twists and turns along the way.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 7yZbxe7

The fans are all amped up and you can feel the electricity in the air as they cheer at the top of their lungs the moment the intro of Shinsuke Nakamura’s theme hits. He’s loved everywhere, a  star worldwide, but you find that XWL fans in particular get extremely excited when Nakamura is in town. It’s not just because of the way he wrestles, although he is pretty dame good, it’s the way he carries himself, oozing charisma effortlessly, that has made people clamor by the thousands to see him in person. Nakamura’s entrance alone isn’t something that can be translated through a television screen. It’s something that has be experienced because being in the same room as him, even if you’re all the way in the nosebleeds, is an experience—one that you’ll never forget.

Scantily-dressed women make their way onto the stage, drawing a couple of catcalls from some of the men in attendance who watch wide eyed as these red-and-black donning femme fatales begin dancing seductively. Out next comes Nakamura, drawing a huge cheer from the fans, but he isn’t alone. He walks out with another dancer and he twirls her around as they walk to the center of the stage and pyro goes off to add another layer of depth to this awe-inspiring spectacle. He lets go of the woman, sending her spinning off elsewhere so that he can take center stage by himself. The focus is sharp in his eyes; he’s not phased at all.

-Jim Ross-
And there he is, ladies and gentlemen, the incomparable Shinsuke Nakamura, and I don’t know about you guys, but to me it sounds like he was sorely missed by the XWL Universe.

-Michael Cole-
Always so quick to jump to conclusions. For all you know they were cheering so loud because of all these women dancing on the stage.

-Jerry Lawler-
For once you may be right, Cole! Those puppies are a sight for sore eyes! I wonder if they’ll dance a little closer to the announce table?

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 JWw0J8z

Nakamura makes his way down to the ring with his usual swagger, swigning his arms this way and that in a dance that’s hypnotizing in its uniqueness. Nakamura crosses his arms and is now shaking his hands in his signature fashion to the delight of the fans who are incrementally getting louder the longer this captivating entrance goes on. Nakamura shouts out, “Yeaoh!” Before walking up the steel stairs to enter the ring.

-Lillian Garcia-
The following contest is a two out of three falls match! Introducing first, from Japan, weighing in at 229 pounds…Shinsuke Nakamura!

At the announcement of his name, Nakamura dashes toward the ropes, grabs the middle cable and then throws himself back almost melting into a puddle of red and black right there on the spot. The fans pop for that and for a moment it feels like the show could end now and they’d go home happy. But as they see the look of intensity on Nakamura’s face they’re reminded that they came here to see a fight.

The boos come down hard like a torrential downpour—the fans are relentless and they’re doing all they can to drown out MVP’s entrance music. Surprisingly, an old sight is on the stage: MVP’s tunnel is back and as the countdown in his theme hits one, he bursts through the tunnel. Smoke pours out of it and MVP has a smile on his as he holds up his chains to the camera so it can get a clean shot of the one that says “MVP” and the other that reads “305” both covered in diamonds.

He slaps the ground and follows that up by throwing out his arms and perfectly-times pyro sends flames shooting up on both sides. MVP stand up straight and stares down the ring at Nakamura with a smile on his face—this is the match he’s been waiting for. He’s going to get his revenge against the man who beat him cleanly and soundly and then will he be content enough to chase after XWL’s top prize.

-Lillian Garcia-
And his opponent, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 252 pounds…M-V-P!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 QbxUMS2

-Jim Ross-
Talk about a blast from the past, we haven’t seen that tunnel in ages and the funny thing is that MVP looked just as full of himself tonight as he did all those years ago.

-Michael Cole-
What you’re seeing is confidence, JR. MVP knows he can beat Nakamura and he isn’t afraid to flaunt that fact in his face.

-Jerry Lawler-
He sure loves flaunting all the expensive things he’s able to buy with that loaded contract of his. I wonder how much it costs to get a chain like that with “King” on it…

MVP makes a “305” with his hands and holds it up in the air while he walks down the ramp. Much like Nakamura, MVP doesn’t look to be bothered at all by the bright lights and the big stage, these are the moments he lives for, that he thrives in: when the spotlight is on him. He walks up the stairs and doesn’t hesitate to step into the ring against one of the best wrestlers not just in Japan, but in the world. The title of “best in the world” is one that MVP firmly believes belongs to him, like a parent might feel possessive over a child.

The blinged-up wrestlers, bounces off the ropes, does his patented three step then throws up his arms and shouts, “Ballin’!” He keeps his arm raised and walks right over to Nakamura as though he drained the game-winning three right in Nakamura’s face—in triple overtime. Nakamura’s face remains even, but his body language informs the ref that he’s moments away from beating MVP’s ass, so the official quickly squeezes between the two men to separate them. The crowd is hot, their chants of “Nakamura!” and “MVP sucks!” filling the air as MVP theme fades away. The two men stare each other down and when the ref confirms that they’re both ready to go he calls for the bell.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Un263E0

The two competitors circle each other around the ring while the chanting of the crowd increases in volume. This isn’t a match that had weeks’ worth of hype, these two men went out and decided they wanted to fight each other and here they are—it was a simple as that. Determining a winner, however, will be leagues more difficult like stuffing a square peg into a round hole. These men will grow frustrated, they will throw everything they have at the other, and as they lock up, it’s clear that this is going to be a war.

In the collar and elbow tie up the men are dueling to gain the upperhand. MVP muscles up and shoves the wiry Nakamura to the mat. The superstar who claims to be half-man, half-amazing, flexes for the crowd, drawing a rushing wave of boos that would have easily swept MVP off his feet if it was an actual physical thing. Nakamura wipes a strand of hair out of his face as he stands up, the look on face revealing nothing about his current state of mind. They lock up again and this time Nakamura wisely slips behind MVP, locking his arm behind him with a chickenwing. MVP tries to get out of it, but Nakamura quickly transitions into a side headlock. MVP forcefully shoves him off sending Nakamura dashing over to the ropes. The Japanese star comes back like a runaway train and knocks MVP off his feet with a shoulder tackle! MVP immediately rolls out of the ring.

-Jim Ross-
Well it looks like MVP’s out to take a breather after Nakamura got the better of him in that exchange.

-Michael Cole-
Why is Nakamura following him out there? Where is the sportsmanship?

Nakamura slips out of the ring and the crowd cheers loudly as he gives chase. MVP races around the ring with Nakamura in hot pursuit and slides under the bottom rope before he’s caught. Nakamura follows him under, but when MVP tries to hit a sneaky elbow drop, Nakamura slips back out letting MVP drive the point of his elbow into the mat. MVP gets up, shaking his arm and Nakamura presses his advantage by reaching under the bottom rope to pull MVP out of the ring, but the craft wrestler stomps on Nakamura’s fingers. His arm apparently feeling better now, MVP grabs onto the bottom rope and dive over looking for the plancha, but Nakamura steps out of the way. MVP manages to land on his feet, but he can’t stick it, and as he struggles to try and keep his balance, Nakamura takes advantage by taking MVP by the head and sending his skull bouncing off the ring post. Nakamura rolls MVP into the ring and enters afterward not giving his opponent a chance to breathe. MVP gets up and Nakamura goes for a spinning kick that MVP has the wherewithal to duck under, but he isn’t prepared for Nakamura to keep spinning and MVP gets nailed on the back of the head with a huge kick!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 WMGbgDR

MVP falls to the mat and Nakamura covers him, hoping to score a quick fall while MVP is still dazed:

One!

MVP almost immediately gets the shoulder up, still very much conscious of where he is, but that also means he must know that he’s in some trouble. Nakamura rolls MVP onto his stomach and begins rising up and driving his knees into MVP’s rib cage. MVP’s attire can only do so much to cushion him from the blows and his cries of pain are evidence that the knees are finding their mark.

Nakamura gets up, and walks over to MVP’s head where he uses those long legs of his to just repeatedly push the sole of his boot against MVP’s face in a show of complete  that these people love. Every time MVP looks to be getting to his feet, Nakamura just uses his boot and pushes him back down. He leans over MVP and screams something in Japanese, then starts paintbrushing MVP with a couple of slaps to the face. They don’t hurt, at least physciall,y but they’re effective in getting MVP all riled up. He screams, “Do you know who I am?” as he stands up only or Nakamura to kick him hard in the chest. He goes for another, but this time MVP is ready for it and he grabs Nakamura leg. A cocky smile creeps onto MVP’s face as he give Nakamura the Mutumbo finger wag, but that allows Nakamura to leap into the air and nail MVP on the side of the head with a knee using his free leg.

-Michael Cole-
What is this guy’s problem? He has the privilege to compete on Final Stand for crying out loud and he’s making a complete mockery out of it!

-Jerry Lawler-
Well if that’s what it takes to get him inside of MVP’s head so he can keep dominating the match, then he’s free to do whatever he wants!

Nakamura goes for another pin to capitalize off of that surprise knee strike:

One!

Tw—

It doesn’t keep MVP down for long, but Nakamura, being the veteran that he is, doesn’t let up for a second. He links his fingers behind MVP’s head when MVP gets to his feet and Nakamura starts nailing MVP with those knees again, this time to the chest and the force of the blows causes MVP to stagger backward. In a swift motion, MVP does a drop toe hold causing Nakamura’s throat to land right onto that middle rope! MVP rubs his chest for a second before placing his shin onto the back of Nakamua’s neck forcing down onto the cable and all the ref can do is start his count: One! Two! Three! Four!

MVP finally backs off, not wanting to give up a fall in this manner. With a smirk on his face, MVP pulls Nakamura up only to be surprised when Nakamura unleashes a flurry of forearm strikes to the side of the head! MVP thinks quickly, hitting a cross chop to the throat then he hits his patented facebuster to the knee! MVP looks down and he’s smiling again because Nakamura is right where he wants him. MVP throws out his arms and the crowd boos once they realize what he’s going for.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 5O7sEiA

MVP dashes over to the opposite side of the ring, does the slick three-step hop followed by a raise of the arm as he shouts “Ballin’!” but that’s all for naught as Nakamura rolls out of the ring! The cocky look on MVP’s face is quickly replaced by one of annoyance as the amused fans start chanting “Nakamura!” He beckons for Nakamura to enter the ring and Nakamura does climb onto the apron and places a foot between the ropes to get inside, but it’s only to restart the count and much to MVP’s annoyance Nakamura heads back outside of the ring.

Fed up, MVP rolls out of the ring and go after Nakamura, but walks right into a trap as Nakamura hits a side kick to the gut that doubles MVP over. Nakamura takes MVP by the arm and shoots him over into the steel stairs with so much force that the top half nearly goes flying off! MVP walks away from MVP in a Michael Jackson-esque manner, bringing his own unique flair to the match, before turning around and charging toward MVP! He hits a vicious knee strike and his momentum makes him flip over the stairs!

-Jerry Lawler-
Oh man! That definitely caused some internal damage to MVP, but Nakamura may have hurt himself in the process too.

-Jim Ross-
If he did injure himself with that move, he better hide it well because MVP is like a shark and once he sniffs out a weakness he will attack.

Nakamura gets up limping—the move was effective, but it came at a prize. He hobbles over to the ring and rolls inside as the ref’s count reaches the midway point. For a second it looks like he’ll settle for scoring a point off of a count out, but he rolls back out to go after MVP. He tries to pull MVP up to his feet, but MVP grabs him by the front of the tights and sends Nakamura head-first into the corner of the stair! The crowd boos as MVP rolls under the bottom rope and now inside of the ring he barks at the referee to speed up his count. It’s a six now and Nakamura has only just begun to stir. The crowd is getting a little worried as six comes, then seven, and Nakamura is only barely on his hands and knees. At eight he inches a little closer to the ring…nine…te—he’s in! MVP pounces like a lion on a wounded gazelle, lifting Nakamura off the mat, then hitting a fisherman suplex!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 TYEGM49

He bridges into a pin:

One!

Two!

Kick out! Nakamura keeps the match alive and the fans begin cheering a little louder trying to get him back into this. MVP gives the ref a look of disgust, certain that he should be up 1-0 by now. He gets up and shoots Nakamura across the ring. he drags his thumb across the base of his throat signaling for the end of this fall. He charges and runs right into the foot Nakamura had lifted in the air. MVP staggers back and Nakamura hoists himself onto the middle rope and the crowd gets frenzied thinking he’s only moments away from hitting killer Boma Ye knee! Nakamura leaps off and misses as MVP sidesteps him.

MVP quickly grabs him from behind and hits a german suplex, but he keeps his arms interlocked, and pulls Nakamura back up to his feet so that he can hit a second! The crowd boos as MVP rolls them back onto their feet and hits a third, but he isn’t done! He pulls off the fourth and tries to go for a fifth, but it seems Nakamura has had enough of getting dropped on his head! He fights back with several hard elbows to the side, and MVP pushes him forward into the corner. He’s right behind Nakamura and nearly decapitates him with the player’s boot! He keeps his leg draped over Nakamura’s shoulder and holds up his finger signaling he’s going for another. MVP runs across the ring, but Nakamura is right behind him and jumps into the air driving both of his knees into MVP’s chest!

-Jim Ross-
I don’t even know how Nakamura is standing after those german suplexes and boot to the face, but if this doesn’t prove that he’s one of the toughest S.O.B. in wrestling then I don’t know what will.

-Michael Cole-
Oh please. He can be tough all he wants, but that doesn’t make him a winner. MVP has this match in the bag.

MVP falls into a seated position and Nakamura immediately places his foot on MVP’s neck and begins shaking himself as though he were a human vibrator! The crowd loves every second of it, but he breaks before the five count. He comes back and this time he just starts stomping a mudhole into his opponent! He breaks before the five count again, but only backs off for a second. He grabs MVP’s boot, but remincient of what happened earlier with the roles switched, MVP kicks Nakamura in the face with his free leg. MVP gets up and begins laying into Nakamura with a flurry of forearm shots, followed by a European uppercut, followed by what should have been a discus closthesline, but out of nowhere Nakamura damn near knocks MVP out cold with a roundhouse kick! Both men collapse to the mat in pain and fatigue after holding nothing back from the moment the bell sounded. Nakamura crawls over to MVP, uses what little energy he has to roll him onto his back and go for the pin!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 IoVOJ5B

One!

Two!

MVP’s shoulder pops off the mat! Nakamura’s eyes fly open wide as he looks at the ref in disbelief while getting to his feet. The Ref is doing all he can to express that it was only a two count when MVP suddenly rolls Nakamura up with a school boy!

One!

He has the tights!

Two!

MVP has the tights!

Three!

The crowd boos the hell out of that as MVP quickly scurries away from Nakamura with a smile on his face. Just like that he’s up 1-0 in the match and he uses his finger to let the sold-out crowd know that he has every intention to put Nakamura away 2-0 and show that, without a doubt, he is the better man. Nakamura isn’t happy about the way that went down, and who can blame him? After all that tough guy talk, MVP went and pulled this showing that he does care about winning, but will truly do whatever it takes to secure that victory. The look of surprise is gone from Nakamura’s face, now he looks pissed, ready to rip MVP apart limb by limb. He paces from back and forth while the fans chant his name louder than they have all night. This is the moment where he can’t afford to make any more mistakes.

-Michael Cole-
See! What did I tell you? MVP had no problem at all beating Nakamura who is a complete and utter choke artist. Now, for the benefit of the fans he’s going to win one more time to gets things going on a high note.

-Jerry Lawler-
Yeah, let’s just conveniently forget how MVP needed a handful of tights to even come close to getting that pin. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nakamura lets loose and gets the next two falls with ease.

The ref calls for the bell to kick off the start of the second fall and in blinding speed, Nakamura flies across the ring and nails MVP with a stiff single leg kick! He immediately goes for the cover:

One!

Two!

Kick out! MVP is up and Nakamura lifts into the air then spikes his skull into the mat with a brainbuster! Again he goes for the pin:

One!

Two!

Thr—MVP just barely gets his shoulder up! MVP begins to get up, but Nakamura kicks him hard in the face laying him flat on the mat. He jumps into the air and drops his knee across MVP’s face not once, not twice, but three different times and the crowd is really getting fired up here as Nakamura is absolutely taking MVP to school here. MVP should have been careful what he wished for because he’s getting far more than he bargained for. After the third knee MVP gets himself off the mat to escape the punishment but it’s all for naught as Nakamura is lying in wait.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 PngdKbq

Once again Nakamura goes for the pin:

One!

Two!

Thre—MVP just barely gets his shoulder off the mat and the crowd can’t believe he survived that fantastic flurry of bone-crushing moves from Nakamura. He takes a deep breath and searches in his head for an idea of what to do next. He pulls MVP up to his feet and whips him across the ring, but MVP reverses the throw and it’s Nakamura who is sent running instead. MVP bends over looking for a back body drop but he telegraphs it and Nakamura tries to bring him down with a neckbreaker, but as the stand back to back, MVP is able to elbow his way out.

He charges forward looking for a clothesline, but Nakamura grabs his arm and floats over into cross armbar! He has it locked in right there in the middle of the ring, and this is such a devastating hold that Nakamura could easily rip MVP’s arm right out the socket! MVP is howling in pain as Nakamura bends his arm far past where it’s supposed to go. The ref is right there ready to call for the bell if MVP so desires. But to his credit, he’s gritting his teeth and battling through this excruciating pain despite the fans frothing at the mouth to see him tap out to even the score between the men at one point apiece.

-Jerry Lawler-
Can you imagine if MVP taps out after saying he quits the last time he competed on pay per view? I don’t know how he’d recover from that massive blow to his ego.

-Jim Ross-
I don’t know, King. This is MVP we’re talking about. It’ll take a lot to do any significant damage to that ego of his.

MVP begins shifting his weight, inching his way over to the ropes, every second in this submission is another second his right arm comes dangerously close to becoming completely useless. The crowd is getting antsy, watching nervously as MVP’s left boot gets close and closer to the ropes. He’s almost there… Nakamura breaks the submission, drags MVP back into the middle of the ring and quickly slaps on the submission again! This is it! There’s nowhere for MVP to and there’s no way he can muster up the energy to make his way over to the ropes again. Realizing that it’s now or never, MVP rolls himself over onto Nakamura for the pin:

One!

Two!

Th—Nakamura straightens his legs and does so while keeping the submission locked in! MVP rolls over again, but this time he strains his legs to lift Nakamura into the air, and after a couple of steps, MVP throws him recklessly into the turnbuckles! Both men are down for that and most of the fans are on their feet admitting that even though this match features, MVP, it is definitely awesome. It take a great deal of effort, but both men make it to their feet. MVP charges into the corner and nails Nakamura with a hard clothesline!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Dww2KtR

MVP winces as pain shoots up his still-sore arm. He shakes it while staggering backward. Nakamura loos to capitalize by hopping onto the second turnbuckle looking for that Boma Ye again and as he dives down MVP hits him with a big boot in midair! He falls ontop of Nakamura taking care to hook the leg with his left arm:

One!

Two!

It’s not enough to keep Nakamura down! MVP lets out a scream as the frustration builds. He pulls Nakamura to his feet and looks to put him away once and for all with the Playmaker, MVP’s bad right arm is making it difficult for him to get Nakamura in position and that allows his opponent to slip out of his grasp. MVP’s doubled over with a sharp kick to the gut, followed up by a vicious DDT that spikes his head into the mat. Nakamura pulls MVP up and pushes him into the corner. He lays MVP across the ropes and the crowd cheers as he backs away, before charging forward and going for his knee strike, but MVP is just barely able to get himself out of harm’s way. He tries to punch Nakamura, but that proves to be a mistake as Nakamura grabs the arm and locks in the cross armbar again while he dangles from the ropes!

-Jim Ross-
Nakamura has until the count of five to break, but that damage will certainly be done to MVP’s arm by then.

-Michael Cole-
Where’s all the anger and outrage over Nakamura resorting to these kind of tactics? If this was MVP you’d be ready to tar and feather him!

Nakamura breaks at the count of five and the ref backs him away from MVP to verbally scold him and warn that he’s risking disqualification with his actions. Meanwhile MVP sits there cradling his arm trying to get some feeling back into it. Nakamura reaches over the top rope and grabs MVP by the ears to pull him up. MVP reaches up with his left arm and sits out with a stun gun that snaps Nakamura’s neck across the top rope! Nakamura drops to the mat and MVP takes a moment to catch his breath before scaling the turnbuckles.

With a burst of energy, Nakamura charges over and nails MVP with a roundhouse kick knocking him off balance. He climbs up and looks to be setting MVP with a superkick, but MVP fights back with some big headbutts until Nakamura falls at least five feet down to the mat. MVP gathers his footing, then he goes flying into the air landing on Nakamura with a huge headbutt! MVP rolls away holding his head, knocking himself silly with that move, but he he’s able to capitalize and go for the pin:

One!

Two!

Thr—Nakamura’s arm shoots into the air! MVP grabs it and is now fighting to lock in his devastating version of the crossface!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 GpIN6pZ

He locks it in! Now it’s Nakamura who finds himself in a jam, forced to continue enduring this unbearable pain or tap out and hand the second-straight fall to MVP. Nakamura claws his way over to the ropes, willing to die instead of submitting and MVP may make that a possibility. He’s rearing back as far as Nakamura’s back will allow, and then some, doing damage to the head as well as threatening to snap the spine in half. Nakamura trying to use his gangly limbs to his advantage and he’s just barely able to get his ankle on the bottom rope. The ref his grabbing MVP’s arm trying to get him to break the submission, but that doesn’t appear to be in MVP’s game plan. The ref begins a five count, thought by the time he gets to three, Nakamura manages to get MVP into a pinning predicament:

One!

Two!

MVP kicks out! They get up at the same time and MVP tries to catch Nakamura off guard with a shoot kick to the face, but Nakamura ducks under it and grabs MVP from behind looking to hit a regal plex. MVP brings his elbow down hard over the back of Nakamura’s head until Nakamura releases his grip. MVP shakes his head in disgust at Nakamura before making a run for the ropes. Nakamura grabs MVP by the back of the singlet and pulls him back and once again set MVP up for the regal plex and recklessly tosses MVP into the air!

-Michael Cole-
He almost dropped MVP on top of his head! Who let this maniac into an XWL ring?

-Jerry Lawler-
I can see the gears turning in MVP’s head turning as he prepares to file his next lawsuit.

A dazed MVP instinctually gets to his feet but it’s unlikely he has any idea where he is. The crowd is getting hot, feeling that Nakamura is getting close to the kill, and they start chanting his name as he slips behind MVP and hits another overhead throw! The referee goes over to check and see if MVP is even fit to continue the match. While this is going on, Nakamura is in the corner and his legs are bouncing wildly as he has Boma Ye on his mind. Nakamura charges forward and MVP throws the ref into him! Nakamura stops short of colliding with the official who’s scared out of wits and when Nakamura turns around, MVP kicks him in the gut, then drives him into the ground with the Playmaker! No! It can’t end like this:

One!

Two!

Thre—kick out! You could only slip a penny in the gap between the ref’s hand and the mat, but Nakamura has found a way to keep the match alive. MVP crawls into the corner and his mocks Nakamura’s pose, and comically bounces his legs up and down as he stalks Nakamura. MVP charges forward and Nakamura nails him with a roundhouse kick! He springs to his feet, charges forward and nails MVP with the Boma Ye to the back of the head!

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 FGBHqbY

But Nakamura isn’t done there, he dashes over to the corner and bends himself backward and now his legs are moving like Nakamura took a double shot of expresso. Nakamura races forward but MVP flips over and gets him down on the mat with a school boy!

One!

He has the tights!

Two!

Nakamura kicks out! With an explosion of inhumane energy Nakamura beats MVP to his feet, then lunges forward and nails him with another Boma Ye! Nakamura drops down on MVP and goes for the cover with nearly everyone in the arena counting along:

One!

Two!

Three!

He did it! He did it! He got the fall over MVP and after all of that these men are tied at one. Nakamura rolls away from MVP, unable to stand at this point. The Chicago crowd is fired up and they are giving Nakamura all their love as the final stage of this match is set to begin. It takes a minute, but eventually Nakamura is able to get to his feet, but MVP is having a little bit of difficulty—those two knees really did a number on him and the good news is that it may not take much for Nakamura to put him away. The ref asks MVP if he wishes to continue and there’s no way that MVP is about to admit defeat. Once he’s up, the bell is rung and the next man to score a fall will be crowned the victor.

-Jerry Lawler-
What do these men even have left to give? They beat the stuffing out of each other and look at them, JR, they can barely stand. I bet I could blow on one of them and they’re tumble over!

-Jim Ross-
This match has pride and ego written all over it, King. Sometimes you don’t need championships to motivate you, for men like MVP and Shinsuke Nakamura just the desire to prove you’re the best is enough to make them push themselves to the limit.

MVP and Nakuamura meet in the middle in the ring and the only thing they have the strength to do at this point is trade stiff forearm shots to the face. It’s the King of Strong Style taking on the connoisseur of the Ghetto Strong Style engaging in this most primitive form of battle: hitting the other guy until he falls and can’t get back up. Every time MVP hits a blow the boos boom throughout the arena. When Nakamura retaliates with a jaw-shattering shot of his own the passion behind the yays can send chill down the spine. They go back and forth like this, neither man willing to budge, neither willing to admit that the pain is getting t them, neither willing to accept that they don’t have much left in the tank—they can’t go on much longer.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 KE556AE

Boo!

Yay!
Boo!
Yay!
Boo!
Boo!
Boo!

These men are really pouring it on now, but it’s MVP who’s able to get the upper hand his strength playing a factor once more at this crucial junction in this match. He rears back and really hits Nakamura with all his might, but the immediately pays the price as the old pains from all that time spent in the cross armbar creep up on him at the worst possible time. You can almost see the pain shoot up MVP’s right arm as he bends over in pain and all those does is give Nakamura the opening he needs to fire back with some vicious, clubbing forearms.

Nakamura races over to the ropes and knocks MVP off his feet with a clothesline! MVP slams the mat and pops right back to his feet with a scream! Nakamura charges but, MVP flips him overhead with a belly to belly suplex! Now it’s Nakamura who immediately stands back up and with the crowd roaring in the background these two men butt heads in the middle of the ring trading words that the camera isn’t able to pick up. Nakamura catches MVP off guard with a headbutt that sends him staggering backward. MVP quickly tries to close the gap but is scooped into the air by Nakamura who then brings him down across his knee with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Nakamura crawls over to the corner where he pulls himself up and the fans are all buzzing with Boma Ye only seconds away!

-Jim Ross-
You can feel it in the air! The fans can sense that the end is near! If Nakamura can hit this it then that’ll be all she wrote for MVP!

-Michael Cole-
He’s only in this position because of that cheap shot! MVP wasn’t expecting Nakamura to throw a headbutt! This guy is unbelievable!

As MVP rises to a knee, Nakamura is ready to charge forward when a masked man grabs his leg from the outside nearly tripping him up! Nakamura stomps on the man’s fingers but the distraction costs him the advantage as MVP grabs him from behind and drops Nakamura on the back of the head with a german suplex—it took some time but he was finally able to hit that fifth one! The masked man disappears through the crowd—a bold move considering everyone in the arena wants to kill him.

They’re all booing, hatred feuling them, helpless as they watch MVP get to his feet with a smile on his face. MVP slaps the mat with both hand and then throws out his arms with his signature taunt. The people are praying to the wrestling gods for Nakamura to recover, to find a way to hit that knee, but things are looking grim for him right now. MVP charges forward, steps off of Nakamura’s knee and blasts him with the Drive-By Kick! Nakamura collapses to the ground in the heap and MVP rolls him onto his back and confidently hooks the leg:

One!

Two!

Three!

-Jim Ross-
That’s it! The match is over! He’s gotten the two falls and he’ll be going home a happy man!

-Michael Cole-
Would you calm down J.R.? If you keep this up you’ll be worn out for Seth Rollins’ title victory celebration.

-Jerry Lawler-
Can you blame him? I was on the edge of my seat for the entire match and I’m almost a little sad that it’s over!

-Jim Ross-
I…I should have seen this coming. I should have expected MVP to pull something like this and yet here I am as surprised as everyone else in the arena about what transpired.

-Michael Cole-
Now just hang on a second, MVP saw an opportunity and he took it. All of a sudden he’s the bad guy because the great Shinsuke Nakamura couldn’t keep his head in the game?

-Jerry Lawler-
Did you step out to the bathroom in the middle of the match, Cole? Or are you just blind? We all saw that masked man grab Nakamura’s leg before he could hit the Boma Ye.

-Jim Ross-
How convenient it was of him to show up when MVP was in the most danger of losing this match. We could all benefit from having friends like that.

-Michael Cole-
Now wait just a moment. On what grounds are you accusing MVP of being in cahoots with that masked man? Did they shake hands, exchange money? As far as I’m concerned he was acting on his own.

-Jerry Lawler-
What are the chances of that, Cole. We all know the kind of man that MVP is. We all know that he would do anything to win and anything to avenge himself whenever he thinks he’s been wronged.

-Jim Ross-
And he’s bragged about all of his money so much that I wouldn’t put it past him to hire someone to ensure that this match went his way.

-Michael Cole-
You conspiracy theorists are the worst. Just the worst. Already dragging MVP’s name through the mud, can’t even let the man enjoy his hard-fought victory.

-Jerry Lawler-
Maybe it was hard-fought, but MVP has no reason to be proud of winning it like that. The worst part of all of this is that he’ll brag for days about what he did here tonight.

-Jim Ross-
Shinsuke Nakamura put up one hell of a fight, but when the dust settled it’s MVP’s hand that’s being raised. They should really put an asterisk next to this victory in the record books.

-Michael Cole-
Maybe they should put two for each of the times that MVP pinned Nakamura in the middle of the ring to win this match. You can’t win a match like this by luck. MVP was the better man and you all should just accept that.

-Jerry Lawler-
Can you even call this a win? All MVP is doing is escaping by the skin of his teeth.

MVP raises his arms in triumph, not shook at all by the heat coming from the crowd. They’re booing hard, not only pissed that he won or the way he won it, but also because of the way he’s celebrating this victory. He smiles big, and order the ref to raise his hand and, not wanting any trouble, the official complies. It’s just as MVP said this match would go: with him on top. It wasn’t a pretty fight, he didn’t get the 2-0 sweep like he set out to do, but he beat Shinsuke Nakamura and as far as MVP is concerned all is right in the world.

What happened tonight has raised a lot of questions like: “How could you stoop so low?” But  more importantly: “Who the hell is the guy who helped you win the match?” It doesn’t look MVP is going to address any of those questions. He’s simply in too good of a mood to want to sour things by answering to people beneath him. He rolls out of the ring and walks out of the ring with his head held high, but in the way he gingerly moves and cradles his shoulder at times, it’s clear that he’s never going to forget what he went through physically in this grueling battle. He makes it to the stage and by then Nakamura has gotten to his knees and doesn’t look happy at all to be hearing MVP’s theme music blaring through the speakers.

MVP turns around to face the ring, looks Nakamura dead in the eyes and smiles, pouring salt in the wounds now. Showing no remorse, no guilt, no shame for doing that to Nakamura. If that look alone wasn’t enough, MVP piles onto this disgusting display, by bringing his hands together and bowing to Nakamura as though he were a man MVP respects. With that MVP turns and heads to the back, his work here for the night done.

Left alone in the ring is Nakamura who the fans won’t let leave empty handed. He may have the win, but he has their appreciation and respect and they rise to their feet and applaud his efforts to put MVP in his place. They’re now chanting his name and some are even saying “please come back.” And maybe he will. There’s no way he’s going to let MVP get the last word, but that’s a battle that will have to happen at another time. For now, Nakamura acknowledges the adoration of the XWL universe with a nod, and he rolls out of the ring to make the long walk up the ramp.

When he’s the stage he turns around, soaking in the atmosphere, the reception, the feeling of standing in this arena listening to thousands of people go crazy over you. He only stands there for a few seconds, before turning and walking backstage. Tonight Shinsuke Nakamura wasn’t able to overcome MVP’s dastardly tactics, but he’s not the loser here.

On this the historic Seventh Anniversary of Final Stand, we are set to see some incredible matches, and no doubt witness moments that will be etched in stone. The electricity is astounding, there's a feeling like anything could, and without a doubt will happen...but what's going to happen in the next minute? We've got our answer almost instantaneously when we join Byron Saxton backstage.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 HwlmI3c

[Byron Saxton]
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, joining me at this time is the woman that three weeks ago was announced as the new head of the Diva's Division. She's done it all, won it all, and on tonight Final Stand, she sets the stage for the diva's to quote "takeover". Please welcome, Layla!

Following her introduction, Layla steps onto the scene all smiles and visibly upbeat given the occasion.

[Byron Saxton]
Layla, thank you for taking time out of your no doubt busy schedule to be here.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 B8EdMk7

[Layla]
You're very welcome, it's been a stressful few weeks to say the least. But this is what it's all been for, tonight when the Divas takeover.

[Byron Saxton]
We'll get to that in a moment, but first I wanted to speak more about you specifically.

[Layla]
Well as much as I love to talk about myself, what really is there to talk about?

[Byron Saxton]
You spoke several weeks ago in the ring and stated that when Stephanie called you jumped at the chance to be in charge of the divas. But my question is, why? You're a competitor, everyone knows that..so why agree to end that part of your career?

Layla starts to respond, but then stops herself. Pondering what to say to such an upfront question. But after collecting her thoughts for a couple of seconds, she's prepared to speak.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 NMEIhoi

[Layla]
Well first of all, if you think anything has "ended" you couldn't be any more wrong. Secondly, it's no secret that I've practically "ran" the division throughout my tenure in XWL. Multiple championship reigns, historic moments, you name it...I've done it, and first might I add. So why did I take Stephanie up on her offer? Because I've finally gotten my wish. I wanted to lead the division, to have a roster of women that lived up to my standard, and now...I have the power to make that a reality.

[Byron Saxton]
Live up to your standard?

[Layla]
It sounds a lot more self centered than it is. What I mean is, I want them to have the same drive that I do, I want them to see that there's nothing they can't do. It's easy to become complacent and even doubt yourself, but that's what always set me apart from a lot of women that came through these doors. I never once doubted myself, and that goes a very long way. I was told I couldn't do something, and I went right out there and did it. So that is what I hope to bring to the women on my roster. I want them to believe in themselves, to see that no obstacle is too great, that if they work hard enough, ANYTHING is possible.

[Byron Saxton]
Is that why you've arranged such a strenuous night for them tonight? Some have questioned your decision to put such a huge challenge before them so soon.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Aw6SAbl

[Layla]
The thing is, that's exactly why I did. Let them prove the naysayers wrong. If I didn't believe they could do it, I wouldn't have set this up. I know they're capable of great things, they just need to see that for themselves. If a woman like Bayley can overcome the odds and not only compete inside, but win an Elimination Chamber Match to earn the right to call herself Divas Champion...then there's no reason why any other woman tonight can't fight just as hard to take that away from her.

A figure walks in, shoving Byron to the side.. it's Nikki Bella, she cocks a sarcastic smile toward Layla

[Nikki]
Well, well, well.. if it isn't the 'now-corporate' Layla, taking charge, and defending Bayley once again. Now see here, Layla.. the Elimination Chamber is a tough match, yes.. but you don't have to FIGHT in order to win.. Bayley got her ass handed to her that night, but waited it out for the final two to bear it out, then she went in, did one move, and won the match.. Bayley cannot hold that title without using illegitimate odds in order to win matches.. if that ain't a sign of a fake-champion.. then I don't know what it is..

[Byron Saxton]
Well.. uh-

Silly Byron, never interrupt a woman. Nikki cuts him off before he's able to utter another word.

[Nikki]
Be quiet, Byron.. the ladies are speaking..

Byron lowers his head, feeling more emasculated than perhaps ever before. But a woman like Nikki Bella does have that effect on a man.

[Nikki]
As I was saying before the last time in your office.. we're not 'divas'.. we're WOMEN.. that's what we should be called.. and that's what you should INCORPORATE.. we are not skanks walking around wanting to blow other men and other things like that.. we are WRESTLERS, we go out there and kick-ass and take names.. you need to understand that, Layla..

Much like their encounter last week, Nikki's coming off very hostile, and Layla's doing her best to bite her tongue but old habits do die hard.

[Layla]
Nikki, I can't help but get the feeling that you're maybe getting the wrong idea about me, and my leadership. So please allow me put your pretty little head at ease. If ANYONE understands what it means to be a woman in this company, it is me. As you know, whether you like to acknowledge it or not, I'm the one that's made us more than just beautiful women. I've shown that beyond our looks, lie warriors that can fight the toughest of battles. Warriors that do not need to pick apart their fellow woman's accomplishments to feel good about themselves. Bayley did something amazing, so if you want me to stop acknowledging that, then it's quite simple. Amaze me, win the tournament and take that title from her. Until then, knock the ego down a peg hun because jealousy is a really ugly disease...

Nikki would drop the grin, staring at Layla, possibly into her soul.

[Nikki]
That.. is probably one of the worst comebacks I've ever seen.. YOU are one of the reasons this division died, you pranced around here doing this.. and that, I acknowledge that you're in charge, but I don't approve of it...  .... ..... By the way, if you call me an 'ugly disease' again.. I will slap the taste out of your mouth, regardless of the consequences.. because you're talking to the wrong WRESTLER right now, and I think you should think about that. I as a WRESTLER.. will dominate this tournament.. and take home the d-...

Nikki would stop mid-sentence.. thinking hard.. smiling once again

[Nikki]
.. take home the WOMEN'S Championship..

Nikki smiles, then turns to leave, but as if we had gone back in time to when these two are at odds...as competitors anyways...Layla tightly grabs her arm, stopping her. Once Nikki ceases in her tracks, Layla lets go and then throws her hands up meaning no harm.

[Layla]
Nikki, I'm not going to just let you walk away again like that. I let it slide last week, but not tonight. Not when you still don't seem to understand what we are to each other now. I'm not your enemy, I'm not throwing you in handicap matches every week, I didn't dock your pay, suspend you, fine you, so will you please stop treating me like that's all I've done? Look, our past is the past. Did we say hurtful things to each other? Do despicable things to each other? Yes, every single night! But I've left all of that in the past, so it's about damn time you do the same. If I wanted to I could have excluded you from tonight's tournament, kept you from becoming champion...but did I do that? Did I? No. So clearly I'm not out to get you, clearly I'm not here to terrorize you and make your life hell...because we both know I could if I wanted to, so please can we just ditch the petty drama between us and squash it once and for all?

Nikki would sigh heavily, bluffing it off, staring at Layla.

[Nikki]
You know damn well you can't 'exclude' me from anything, because that'd be a big mistake if you did, and no, I won't 'drop the past'.. even if it's the past.. it still happened.. are you done..? I got to get prepared for my tournament match later.. or are you just going to just keep saying corporate lines provided by someone in that ear of yours..?

Nikki would cross her arms, staring at Layla, seeming impatient. Layla starts to speak, but then stops herself, exhaling a sigh. Seconds later after the impatient Nikki's foot began to tap the floor harder and harder, Layla places her finger next to her ear, revealing no earpiece, and responds.

[Layla]
Yeah, I'm done. One day you'll see I'm not your enemy anymore, and when that day comes I'll be here with open arms and a glass of champagne for each of us. But until then, I wish you well tonight, I'd say break a leg...but you might think I mean that literally, so I'll let you leave with a simple good luck, Nikki.

[Nikki]
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.... well, I'll be on my way..

Nikki would turn around, walking away, however, she'd stop mid-way, turning around slightly saying...

[Nikki]
A new championship belt is in order after tonight..

Nikki, grinning, would continue walking, exiting the scene. Leaving a befuddled Layla to stand there with her hands at her side, sighing. Byron raises his mic to interject now that Nikki's left, but Layla simply shakes her head and walks off in the other direction.

Somewhere backstage Renee Young is standing with Paige 2 weeks following her return at Breakdown against her former best friend Bayley. We now get to hear what she has to say for the first time in many months behind the scenes of our biggest event of the year Final Stand.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Paigebackstage
Renee Young: Paige *Ecstatic and being all giddy over seeing the divas take initiative and girl power being shown*
I just wanted to give you a warm welcome back.

Paige: *Directing her attention to Renee with a serene look upon her face* Thank you darling, I really do appreciate that more than you could ever imagine.

Renee Young: With you being caught up in some troubles with flight the past week, I want to head back the week before last. How was it, Being back in the ring after some lounging and relaxing with days off?

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Paigebackstage3
Paige: I actually had a blast, Going out there and representing women's wrestling. The hardships and dedication from these divas, Pale in comparison to my scratching and clawing to even make it as a prime .. again I use the word WOMEN. Using the word Diva is an utter insult. They rant and rave over who's prettier than who, My advice is to belt up ladies. Oh and yeah I like to scream, Because I want to be heard.. loud and clear. At the top of my lungs and in your face. That brings me the greatest of joy.

Renee Young: Well uhm wow, You really are calling out the others in the locker room. Surely haven't skipped a beat I can tell, Is there anything else you would like to say to garner the attention of anyone watching?

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Paigebackstage1
Paige: There is a lot to say, A lot on my mind.. One thing that I would like to bring up is that fake, rank.. gag worthy..
I think you know where I'm going with this one. Nikki Bella, Hello sweetie all your prancing around with your big knockers is disgraceful. It's well and cute if that's what you're looking for, Attention in every wrong place at the wrong times. Let me clue you in on a little something, I didn't get any help from my mum who's well known and decorated. You and your sister were up each others arse the whole way through.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Paigebackstage2
Paige: Enough talk about someone who is only now learning the ropes. This leads me onto my final statement of the night, This is Final Stand and from what I've been hearing is there are talks of us fine ladies being put in a match for the ages. I don't want a cat fight..I want to punch these girlies square in the face. I want to be a part of it, Tonight marks the night that I turn the page, I rewrite the chapter and darlings I am the cover of this book in history. See you soon hun, Love ya.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Paigebackstage4

Paige struts out of the cameras view and you can hear her Chuck Taylor's generate sound off the cold hard desolate flooring with each step. Renee Young nods and smiles to keep herself leveled. The camera cuts back to the ring where the NEXT match is in place/schedule.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 BkQ5q3Z

The bell rings and the camera cuts to the ring. Lillian Garcia is standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her hand.

-Lillian Garcia-
The following contest is a ladder match and it is for the Intercontinental Championship! The stipulation set by Breakdown General Manager Stephanie McMahon is as follows: if the team of J & J Security wins, then Seth Rollins will be awarded the Intercontinental Championship. If the team of Alex Shelley and Dean Ambrose wins, then Alex Shelley will be awarded the championship.

-Lillian Garcia-
Introducing first, the challengers, at a combined weight of 393 pounds… Jaime Noble and Joey Mercury…J & J Security!

The boos are fierce and the speed at which the crowd delivers them is as swift as ever. Noble and Mercury make their way out to the ring wearing dress pants and a button-up shirt, keeping their professional look even as they prepare to compete in what is bound to be a grueling match. If they were nervous or had any reservations about participating in this ladder match, their even expressions are doing an amazing job of hiding this fact.

Not only are they about to be in the same ring as the technically sound Alex Shelley and the dangerous Dean Ambrose—two men who want to rip them apart—but they also must be feeling the pressure from Seth Rollins and Stephanie McMahon to get the job against two game opponents. This has to be Rollins’ last chance at the championship for the foreseeable future. Not even Stephanie McMahon could justify giving the so-called future of XWL another opportunity, though she’ll undoubtedly be tempted to do so.

-Jim Ross-
Would you just get a load of these two? As smug and arrogant as the man who sent them out here to fight on his behalf.

-Michael Cole-
And you have to admit that this is an ingenious strategy by Seth Rollins. He’s going to leave Final Stand as a duel champion and he’ll only wrestle one match to do it!

-Jerry Lawler-
I don’t know is “ingenious” is what I’ll call it. Selfish, maybe even lazy. Rollins is a man who doesn’t deserve to hold one belt in this company, much less two.

J & J Security march down the ramp, their focus laser sharp. The enter the ring and walk around eyeing down every man, woman and child in the building showing that they’re not afraid, they’re not intimidated, they’re not going to get psyched out. Whatever Stephanie and Rollins said to them backstage to get them prepared mentally for this kind of atmosphere is clearly working.

Mercury and Noble are no strangers to the squared circles, they’re veterans of this profession, but never before in their career have they been on the receiving end of so much animosity and hatred. Never before has it felt like the crowd would riot if they won. They smirk as they boos continue to rain down, and point up at the Intercontinental Championship hanging several feet above the ground signaling that the belt is going back home to the Authority.

And just like that the crowd lets the cheers burst out of their lungs. A quick cut to the ring shows the two men in the building who aren’t happy to see Shelley. Both Mercury and Noble have scowls on their faces, and when the adoration for the Intercontinental Champion becomes unbearable they actually turn away from the stage!

-Lillian Garcia-
And their opponent, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 215 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion…Alex Shelley!

Shelley steps through the curtain with a smirk on his face looking out into the sea of fans trying to chant his name over the lyrics of his entrance music. Shelley parts his legs on the stage, puts one fist behind his back and another over his heart and pyro explodes on both sides of him—a Final Stand special. Shelley begins making his way down the ramp, then pauses and backs up a few steps when he notices that neither Mercury nor Noble have bothered to turn around.

Shelley shapes his hand into a gun, takes a second to line up the shot then pulls the trigger twice, one for Mercury and the other for Noble. The crowd is eating all of this up and they cheer even louder while Shelley blows the invisible smoke off his fingers. From that spot on the upper portion of the ramp, Shelley looks up at the Intercontinental Championship, his Intercontinental Championship, hanging there. He knows that it won’t be easy to retain it, but after the hell he went through to keep it, there’s no way that he isn’t prepared to battle until the last breathe exits his lungs.

-Jim Ross-
Alex Shelley is no stranger to ladder matches, but I can’t imagine the stakes have ever been this high before. In fact the last time he was in a ladder match with the championship on the line, it was him defending the United States Championship against Kofi Kingston nearly two years ago.

-Michael Cole-
I was hoping to forget all of that, but while we’re on the subject, why don’t we talk about his performance in the Money in the Bank Ladder match where he didn’t even come close to bringing down the briefcase.

-Jerry Lawler-
I wouldn’t expect you to understand, Cole, considering how much you enjoy running your mouth from here behind the desk after spending all of five minutes in the ring. There’s a whole lot of difference between fighting for something like a briefcase, and fighting to not lose a championship you went through so much to win.

-Jim Ross-
I think it’s better we hear it from the horse’s mouth. Luckily we managed to catch up to Alex Shelley backstage as he prepared for his match, and he had a few interesting things to say.

Shelley is slapping hi-fives while walking down the ramp at the camera cuts over to some pre-recorded footage from earlier in the night.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Shellques8

-Alex Shelley-
You know, it’s hard to prepare for a tag team match when you don’t even know if your partner is going to show up. And if he does show up, it’s hard to put your career in the hands of a man who you’re not sure you can trust. Now don’t get me wrong, I’d find it a little hard to fault Dean if he didn’t bother to pop up. Stephanie made sure to give him no incentive to show up tonight, because no matter what he does, the belt is going home with either Seth Rollins or with me. And I’m not going to sit here and pretend I understand what goes on in that brain of Dean, but I think Stephanie McMachon underestimated him. I don’t think she quite grasps not only how much he hates Seth Rollins…but how much he enjoys inflicting pain on other human beings. That’s the kind of man you want on your side, but I’ve fully prepared myself to fight this battle alone. It won’t be pretty, it won’t be a mat-wrestling clinic, somebody is going to get stretchered out of there…but I’m going to do whatever it takes to leave this arena with that Intercontinental championship. I didn’t bust my ass for three years to have it all end like this…to have my belt handed off to a douchebag who’ll be watching from the comfort of Stephanie McMahon’s office. Noble…Mercury…I hope you plan on bringing your A-game because this is going to be a long night…for all of us.

We’re back in real time as Shelley just finishes posing on the turnbuckle. Mercury and Noble still aren’t facing his direction, but they do turn around once Shelley calls out to them and Shelley flips them off to the delight of the crowd. J & J don’t look amused at all and now they watch as Shelley takes off his dog tags and jacket and rest them on the top of the steel stairs. All three men are waiting now as we’ve come to the moment of truth. Will Dean Ambrose show up to lend a helping hand? Or will he sit back and watch Shelley try to fight this battle on his own?

Sensing that Ambrose may need some more convincing, the members of the audience band together and chant “We want Ambrose!” at the top of their longs, hoping their cries carrying backstage or out of stage or out of the country to wherever Ambrose may be in the hopes that he’ll get out here in time to even the odds. The chants grow louder and more desperate as it seems that it’s not working. Shelley takes a deep breath accepting his fate, while J & J show their first moments of emotion, celebrating as though they’ve already won the match.

-Lillian Garcia-
And his partner, from Cincinnati, Ohio…weighing in at 225 pounds, Dean Ambrose!

The sound of Ambrose’s theme wipes the smiles off of J & J’s faces. Ambrose walks onto the stage looking as frenzied and manic as ever. A smirk appears on his face and he charges down the ramp! Ambrose slides into the ring and a brawl breaks out! The Ref calls for the bell and gets the hell out of dodge while the crowd goes wild!

The crowd is almost too tired, too stunned and too heartbroken to boo after what they just watched happen. The team of Dean Ambrose and Alex Shelley just couldn’t co-exist long enough to get the job done and this has allowed Jamie Noble to secure the Intercontinental Championship, not for him, but for that conniving Seth Rollins. Mercury helps Noble down the ladder before the exhaustion causes Noble to fall off. Together, they proudly hold  the Intercontinental Championship in the air and to the crowd’s credit, they valiantly muster up enough strength to boo as hard as they can at this point.

-Jim Ross-
The broken bodies of Alex Shelley and Dean Ambrose lie there on the ground. J & J Security have the Intercontinental Championship in their possession. And everyone in the arena is trying to figure out what went wrong.

-Michael Cole-
Isn’t it obvious? Ambrose and Shelley couldn’t set their egos aside long enough to coexist, meanwhile J & J functioned like a well-oiled machine and because of that we finally have a champion we can be proud of.

-Jerry Lawler-
I hate to agree, at least on that first point, and it was so tragic to watch because Shelley and Ambrose were able to work together so well for the majority of the match, but when things fell apart it was impossible to make things right again.

-Jim Ross-
That moment just keeps replaying in my mind, King. Ambrose was holding Noble in place for Shelley, but Noble slipped out of his grasp. By that time Shelley was in midair and couldn’t stop himself from crashing into Ambrose sending him barreling into this very announce table!

-Michael Cole-
And because Shelley was that stupid to attack his partner, Ambrose was having second thoughts about reaching for that title, and didn’t like seeing Shelley on the other side of the ladder looking to steal all the glory from himself when he would have lost the belt long ago had Ambrose not shown up.

-Jerry Lawler-
Then a brawl between the two ensued that Shelley came out on the wrong side of, but it looked like Ambrose was coming around. He took out both Noble and Mercury with dives after they exited the ring to let the teammates duke it out.

-Jim Ross-
But you have to understand Shelley was angry, he was hurt, he was caught up in the moment and wasn’t thinking straight which isn’t something you often say about a man like that. He hit Ambrose with Automatic Midnight off the ladder onto another and that was all she wrote.

-Michael Cole-
Are we supposed to feel sorry for Shelley? This was a classic case of “if I can’t have it, no one can.” Ambrose was reaching for the belt, he had the match won and it was Shelley who would have been given the belt! Shelley screwed Shelley, and luckily Rollins was able to profit.

-Jerry Lawler-
I guess it’s time we start taking Rollins’ promise seriously. He said he’d main event Final Stand and, we didn’t believe him. He said he’d regain the Intercontinental Championship, and we didn’t believe him.

-Jim Ross-
He also said that he’d beat CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, and I’m starting to believe that he has more of a chance that I’ve been giving him credit for. Between MVP beating Nakamura and now Shelley losing his championship, this isn’t a good night for the fan favorites. If the trend continues this Chicago crowd will not be happy campers.

-Michael Cole-
Well that just serves them right for betting on the wrong horse. The men who would rather pucker up and kiss the butts of the fans are the ones who don’t have the guts to do whatever it takes to win. CM Punk may have Paul Heyman, but Seth Rollins has the Authority and The Authority always gets their way.

Now on the stage, J & J Security raise the championship high in the air to the dismay on the crowd who are still booing as though their disapproval had the power to change history. The two bloody and battered men disappear through the curtain to give Rollins his much-deserved prize.

With them gone, the fans are forced to address the scene in the ring. Ambrose is the first to come to and he refuses the help of XWL’s medical staff. He may have endured inhumane amounts of punishment in this match, but this nothing compared to the worst he’s ever gone through in his life. With his head held high, the Ambrose walks up the ramp, the pain he’s feeling only evident in the somewhat ginger steps he takes. Ambrose doesn’t look back, he doesn’t acknowledge the fans or Shelley—he just keeps marching on to the beat of his own drummer, lose in his thoughts relishing in the agony he inflicted.

And then there’s Alex Shelley. He’s sitting there with blood dripping down his face and just once he looks up at the empty hook that once held the Intercontinental Championship to confirm what he already knew. His eyes are flat, the emotion sucked dry from them and there he sits with everything he worked so hard for swirling down the drain. He rolls out of the refusing the help of the doctors as well, wanting to take the walk of shame up the ramp of his own free will. He slaps the apron, showing signs of frustration, then places his hands on his hips and slowly walks up the ramp. The fans are reaching out hoping for a hi-five, a nod, some kind of acknowledgement that he’s alive. But this isn’t the Shelley who walked down the ramp as he made his entrance. As he heads backstage it’s hard to tell what state of mind he’s in.

Final Stand continues as the fans brace themselves for more disappointment, but still hoping the best is yet to come.

-ON THE FINAL STAND PRE-SHOW EALIER IN THE NIGHT-

The Final Stand pre-show comes back after a short word from the sponsors with one of the wrestlers storming to the ring.
It's.. yeah you guessed it Adam Cole wearing his day to day street clothes. The fans have a feeling what he's about to say and why he's not in the greatest of moods either.

Michael Cole: What is he doing here? He's not even on the match card.

Adam Cole keeps his center focus on the ring not even recognizing the crowd's upbeat response to his arrival.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs

Cole gets inside of the ring quickly rolling underneath the bottom rope to his feet.
Pacing around the perimeter, Adam asks for a microphone pointing to a member of the ring crew.
Adam Cole is looking down at the ring biting down on his lip vigorously.
The fans are anticipating the words about to come out of his mouth.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs3

Adam Cole: Tyson Kidd, You think you could play a cruel joke on me. What you did is a pretentious act of a loser, This shows your true character and who you've come to be. I used to respect your talent and the class you ONCE had. Now 6 days to this very moment, I'm looking around at everyone here. Do you want to know what I see when I look at these people Tyson? I see them being fed up with you. I feel sorry for each and every one of you.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs1

Adam Cole: You guys don't get to have your United States Champion defend his belt here tonight at Final Stand. You were all robbed of that, And I was robbed of that same championship. Tyson look, All you had to do was accept the mere fact that you lost.. Not once but TWICE. You lost your chance and you decided to take the low road, Sneak your way in like the weasel you are.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs4

Adam Cole: I'm actually not going to keep flapping my gums as the others boys in the back are prone to doing. Bring out my fucking title and hand it over to me or I'll come back there and take it back myself. In case this isn't obvious - I'm not asking you, I'm telling you.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs2

A few seconds pass by and Cole taps the mic checking his imaginary watch motioning that time is ticking away

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Colefs5

Adam Cole: If you hadn't taken my title behind MY back, You could have talked face to face with me. But instead you threw a tempter tantrum and causing a ruckus because you didn't get what you wanted.. Doesn't make you a wrestler, It makes you the scum on the bottom of my shoes.

???
Whoa, whoa, whoa, please, please for the love of all things holy, SHUT UP!!!

Finally from the back walks Tyson Kidd, microphone in hand. He smiles down towards the ring, Cole looking like he's about to explode. Kidd has that cocky little smirk of his shining bright across his face as he continues.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Tyson-Kidd

Kidd
You- you've got some nerve coming out here in front of all of these people and calling ME, ME, ME!!! . . . A weasel? BEFORE I CAME ALONG YOU WERE NOTHING! I MADE YOU RELEVANT!!! You should be thanking me right now, Cole. You should be saying, "oh please, Mr. Kidd, please keep "my" title, it's the least that I could do after EVERYTHING you've done for me!"

From behind his back, Tyson raises up the United States championship. Adam is visibly fuming as Kidd gives the title a big kiss, laughing into the microphone.

Kidd
Ah- you want this, eh? You want MY championship!? Well, you'll have to earn it my friend. You're coming out here calling ME a weasel. ME!? YOU WON'T EVEN GIVE THESE PEOPLE A CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH HERE ON THE GRANDEST STAGE OF THEM ALL!!! Why? Because you're afraid, that's why. You know that this time will be different. You know that this time, I'll beat you. But not just that . . . You know that I'll kick your ass!!!

Tyson has sweat dripping down his forehead as he points down at Cole who's mere seconds away from rushing him. Kidd then does the unthinkable, wrapping the United States championship around his waist. He buttons it up, slapping the plate as the fans all boo in tandem.

Kidd
You want this!? I think it looks nice on me, I think I look like a TRUE, champion! So, the question is, Cole, do you have the BALLS to fight me tonight, do you have the BALLS to come and get "your" belt back!? Or, like I and all of these people thought and think, are you just a grade A PUSSY!!!

Tyson spits into the microphone as Cole only takes a split second to respond.

Adam Cole: YOU'RE ON!!!

The fans go crazy as we're FINALLY going to see a championship match between Adam Cole and Tyson Kidd. But it seems that Cole's not finished.

Adam Cole: On THREE, conditions.

Tyson laughs and rubs the plate of the US belt, mouthing off, "name 'em!!!"

Adam Cole: . . . TABLES . . . LADDERS . . . AND CHAIRS!!!

The roof is nearly blown off of the arena as Kidd, without hesitation, replies "ha ha, YOU'VE GOT IT!!!" Tyson exits to the back, Cole enraged and amped up as the pre-show comes to an end.

The action heads backstage as we follow Layla down the hallway to her  office, as she gets closer, she notices former XWL diva Natalya standing outside her office door. Believing she hasn't been seen, Layla swiftly turns around and starts walking in the opposite direction.

Natalya
Layla?...

Shoot! She's been made! Reluctantly, she stops and turns, feigning a pleased smile in Natalya's direction who sprnts to her.

Natalya
It is you! I'm so glad I caught you.

Natalya smiles at Layla and there's an awkward silence for a couple of seconds.

Natalya
So, listen, I just wanted you to know that I'm feeling great!

The sense of excitement mixed with worry can be heard in Natalya's voice.

[Layla]
I'm feeling pretty good myself, I did have a bit of a run in with Nikki earlier, which could have gone better...but, you know...time heals all wounds, right?

Natalya's excitement suddenly grows, opening her mouth to speak, but Layla as she has been known to do, cuts her off and proceeds to talk more.

[Layla]
Of course you know that, I mean...if you can find a way to forgive me for that whole screw job thing four years ago at this very event...in which your first and only Divas Championship reign was horribly taken from you...then how long can someone truly be mad over a couple dozen insults?

Natalya restrains herself from responding how she'd like to, but from her body language it's clear to everyone except Layla, that's not an easy subject for her, and there may still be some resentment under the surface, but Natalya grits her teeth and puts on a performance that probably isn't worthy of an oscar.

Natalya
Right, yeah, of course I forgive you for that. I mean all you three really did was completely ruin the defining moment of my career, but what's a little thing like that between friends?

The self conceited Layla, completely oblivious about the fact that she doesn't mean it, looks pleased with herself.

Natalya
But now that we are friends, and seeing as you did mention that time heals all wounds, have you heard anything or...?

Natalya puts her hands together, eagrly expecting Layla to catch on, and not force her to spell it out for her.

[Layla]
Um, unfortunately 'Chelle is just off doing her own thing right now. I left a few messages, but she hasn't gotten back to me. I'd have loved to have her be apart of this tournament tonight, but some things just aren't meant to be I guess.

Did she really just say that? Like Natalya waited outside her office all show just to ask her if she kept in touch with Michelle McCool? It's getting tougher for Natalya to hold back, but she takes one deep breath and tries again.

Natalya
That's good for her, but I meant Dr. Lynch. Have you heard from Dr. Lynch at all?

As if Natalya just stuck a pin into a balloon, Layla's demeanor drastically changes. She stands there completely silent, then her head lowers to the ground, staring at the floor. Almost like she can't look Natalya in the eyes.

[Layla]
Right, about that...you see, I'm not quite sure how to put this...uh, there's...it's possible that...well what I'm trying to say is...

Layla's eyes look up, staring into Natalya's, which ends the stumbling of words, bringing back the silence.

Natalya
Look, I didn't come here expecting for you to tell me that I could come back to work tomorrow, so don't look too worried, I'm a big girl, Layla, just tell me, what am I looking at? 4, 5, 6 weeks?

Natalya leans in, awaiting Layla's response, which seems to still be taking a little too much time to deliver. The head of the divas division takes a deep breath, smiles bringing a smile to Natalya's face as well, then begins to open her mouth...

[Layla]
YOU'RE NEVER GONNA WRESTLE AGAIN!!

Natalya can't believe what she's hearing.

Natalya
WHAT?!

Nattie takes a step back and puts her hands over her head, clearly distressed.

Natalya
What do you mean I'm never going to wrestle again? What else am I supposed to do? I need this job Layla..

Natalya stops for a second, and Layla looks like she's about to say something, when she starts up again, staring intently into Layla's eyes, tears starting to flow from her own.

Natalya
There has to be something else that I can do. Anything... You don't understand, I need to work, I have to work. TJ's gone crazy, Layla. He set up this direct bank account and now all of his money goes straight to the cat. If I lose my job, we could lose our home. There has to be something you can do, please...

Natalya pours her out, practically begging for help as Layla tries not to laugh at the idea of Tyson's wage going to his cat, and puts on a sympathetic face as she confronts the situation at hand.

[Layla]
Oh, god...I....I didn't mean for that to come out like that...um, I really have to go...this isn't how I wanted to tell you but, I've got an announcement to deliver...Take it easy, Nat. I know this is hard to process, but look on the bright side...you know, whenever we find it...BYE!

Layla's gone as quick as you could snap your fingers, unintentionally dropping that life shattering news on Natalya in the most knife plunging into the heart of ways...while she may not have known how to tell her, it's easy to see that any other way, including having it iced on a cake and delivered to her...would have been far better than just blurting it out.

Well, one hell of a match we just saw between Tyson Kidd and Adam Cole for the United States title, folks. That match 'bout blew my hat off!

[-Michael Cole-]
And what about that standoff between Layla and Natalya? But, uh...but moving alo-

[-Michael Cole-]
Oooooooooh myyyyyyyyy!

[-Jerry Lawler-]
Whaaaaaaaat!?

[-Michael Cole-]
Dolph Ziggler! The Showoff is back in XWL!

As Dolph finds his way onto the stage, he stops at the ramp, a cocky grin on his face as...

[-Jerry Lawler-]
Woohoo! It's Summer Rae!

[-Michael Cole-]
It's been nearly two months since we've seen Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae in an XWL arena, the pair apparently chose to take a rather extended vacation due to some issues with XWL management regarding the United States Championship.

[-Jim Ross-]
That's correct, but now it seems they picked one hell of a time to show up once again, fellas. The biggest event of the year is home to the return of the former United States Champion and his...significant other...as well!

The reunited Power Couple of XWL is all smiles as the lovely Summer Rae struts out onto the stage in a figure-hugging dress, heels clicking off the steel as the pair join in a hot and heavy liplock on the stage before strutting down the elongated ramp hand-in-hand. Entering the ring for the first time in two long months, Dolph holds the ropes open for Summer to enter before walking along the apron to climb up to the second rope, theme blasting through Soldier Field here in Chicago as the fans cheer wildly for their return to XWL!

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
Did you miss us? It sounds like they missed us, babe. DID YOU MISS US!?

Loud cheers of "YES!" erupt in the home of the NFL's Chicago Bears as Summer leans her head so that it rests on Dolph's broad shoulder as her boyfriend continues to hype up the crowd.

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
It's been a long...damn...time since I was in this ring, and it feels way too damn good to be back, for us to be here live at Final Stand VII in front of the entire XWL Universe! Doesn't it, babe?

The sultry blonde gently leans in to the microphone in front of her boyfriend, a soft smirk gracing her dolled-up features.

[-Summer Rae-]
Of course it does, Ziggy...but it feels better being back in an XWL ring with my absolute favorite superstar of all time. CM Punk? Seth Rollins? I'd rather be watching Dolph Ziggler than those two, for sure.

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
I mean, who wouldn't? I'm the best damn thing going today. And it's about time that you people took notice.

Those in the crowd are quite confused, noticing that the always confident duo are more arrogant than usual tonight at Final Stand.

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
I don't have to stand here and kiss up to all you people! We...don't have to sit here and pretend like we give a damn what you people think anymore! No more! Because from now on, it's all about us! The absolute hottest, absolute sexiest, and absolute greatest power couple to run XWL in its entire history! So here's the ticket. Dolph Ziggler is back, the real Dolph Ziggler.

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
The Showoff, the former United States Champion, former Intercontinental Champion...twice! Former World Heavyweight Champion...twice! Most importantly, and each and every damn one of you need to get this through your heads, the single greatest XWL Superstar in history, Dolph...freaking...Ziggler!

[-Summer Rae-]
It's time for the CM Punks and the Seth Rollins...and especially the...Adam Coles....of the world to take notice! Dolph Ziggler is back, and this time, there's no one that can get in my baby's way! Not Adam Cole, not XWL management, not any of you losers, you marks...nobody!

[-Summer Rae-]
The #HEEL is here to stay for good, and he's not here to kiss any of your butts, to shake your hands and kiss your babies! My Ziggybear is here to be your next XWL World Heavyweight Champion! Because he's the real best....in the woooooooorld...whether you people like it or not...

[-Dolph Ziggler-]
Show...

[-Summer Rae-]
...off.

The fans boo and jeer the newly-returned couple now, a large contrast to a short few minutes ago. However, the blonde couple seems to block out the hate thrown their way as they embrace in yet another passionate kiss in the center of the ring, as we cut to a hype promo for Seth Rollins and CM Punk to hype up tonight's main event as Final Stand VII continues live from Chicago!

I'm back, bitches. mischief

After Dolph Ziggler's surprising return, we see the snarling face of Tyson Kidd, who's already screaming into the camera.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 0e209cd68e61f3c72d454f921e1e4134

Kidd
WHO CARES ABOUT ZIGGLER!? NOBODY WANTS HIM BACK! HE'S OLD NEWS! YOU HEAR ME, DOLPH?

Kidd begins to rapidly pace back and forth. He suddenly stops, now calmly glaring into the camera.

Kidd
I just put on the greatest match in the HISTORY, of Final Stand. I'm honestly lucky that my neck isn't broken right now. I'm lucky to be standing. As much as I hate Adam Cole, and I do HATE, Adam Cole . . . Congratulations on your "win" here tonight. But don't get too comfortable with MY championship, because I will be coming back for it. Maybe not next week, but soon . . . You have my word on that. Honestly, everyone should just go home right now, you've seen the greatest match of all time already, what's left? CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins? Please, here's a spoiler alert, PUNK wins! Go on, leave the arena, as if Rollins even has HALF a chance. I should replace him in tonight's "main event"! I'm more deserving of a World title match after everything that I just went through out in that ring! Seth Rollins, PLEASE. He's a joke, unable to win a match without his two cronies, J&J security! Listen up, I don't care about Dolph Ziggler, I don't care about CM Punk, I don't care about Kevin Owens, Vince McMahon, Seth Rollins, Adam Cole . . . Because starting right now, this is MY house. This is Tyson Kidd's house. And it's only a matter of time, until I get my crown!

Tyson laughs quietly before pushing the camera into the camera man's face, the feed quickly cutting off short after.

*Final Stand continues, the words "Earlier today" briefly flashing on-screen before video footage begins to play.  The subject of the video is Kevin Owens, who last week demolished Breakdown GM Stephanie McMahon and in response the Chairman of XWL himself Mr. McMahon challenged him to a Hell In A Cell match here tonight.*

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Rrhtzm7

[Kevin Owens]
For as long as I can remember I've been a fan of wrestling.  As a little kid, all I could think about was wrestling.  In high school, all I could think about was wrestling.  Wrestling, wrestling, wrestling... nothing else came into my head.  I didn't want to be anything else in life because I knew I was put on this earth to be a wrestler.  So at the age of fourteen years old, I started training to break into wrestling.  And tonight, I face the man responsible for making wrestling what it is today.  Do you know how big that is for me?

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 GkfQlGu

[Kevin Owens]
Not only do I get to wrestle in front of the largest audience of the entire year, on the biggest show of the year but I get to wrestle against the father of wrestling as you and I know it today.  But that's not all.  You see, Vince McMahon is one of those guys who said that Kevin Owens would never amount to anything.  He's one of the guys who fired me several times when I tried to make it here in XWL.  And I have no doubt in my mind that he's responsible for holding me back during this run.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 2xSs1md

[Kevin Owens]
Ever since I came back over a month ago, I haven't competed.  Not by choice... but because Vince and his yes men have decided not to let me.  Why?  Go ask him yourself.  Because to be honest, I don't care.  One way or another I get what I want.  And what I want is to wrestle and fight every night and someday win the World Championship.  I said I'd face anyone and everyone and I meant that.  I don't give a damn who you are.... a referee, a security guard, the GM, the boss' daughter or the chairman of the board... if you stand in my way you get hurt.  I've proven that time and time again and tonight at Final Stand is no different.

*A mischievous grin appears on the face of Owens.*

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 NGISlPP

[Kevin Owens]
Vince has made the biggest mistake of his life by signing this match... especially since it's taking place inside Hell In A Cell.  It could well be his last mistake because it's no secret he's in the twilight of his life and what I have planned for him inside the Cell could finish him off.  Maybe I'll go for a quick win to humiliate Vince and his giant ego, or maybe I'll torture him for hours for fun... You'll need to wait to see and find out.  Either way, I can't say I'll miss him.  And when he's gone, maybe I'll finally get the opportunities I deserve.  If not, you can expect more chaos every week on Breakdown until I get what is rightfully mine.  And that's a promise.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 W5oyfEr

*The bell sounds and the lovely Lilian is shown in the ring dressed in a fine flowing gown for this huge occasion.*

[Lilian Garcia]
The following contest is a Hell In A Cell match!

[Lilian Garcia]
Introducing first, from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada... weighing in at 266 lbs.... KEVIN OWENS!

*Owens appears as intense and focused as ever.  An evil glint in his eye is ever present as he strides towards the towering structure.  The fans roar in disapproval of the man who has terrorized XWL over the past month or so as he pauses at the bottom of the ramp to click his neck a few times.  Owens takes a deep breath before beginning to climb the Cell!  Owens scales the structure to the fans' amazement.  What is he doing?  What is his plan for Vince from the top of the Cell?  Owens finds his footing at the top and is clearly all fired up as he awaits his billionaire opponent...*

[Lilian Garcia]
And introducing his opponent, from Greenwich, Connecticut... he is the Chairman Of XWL... MR. MCMAHON!

*Mr. McMahon is all guns blazing as he comes out onto the stage appearing to be in peak physical condition.  The fans roar in approval at the sight of the genius behind the juggernaut of sports-entertainment and XWL as he power walks down the ramp with his eyes angled upwards at the menacing Owens.*

*As McMahon's music stops, he pauses at the bottom of the ramp and absorbs the rabid crowd's reaction as he ponders his first move.  Owens has set the table and made the first play... how will he react?  McMahon too begins to scale the Cell!  This won't end well... The fans go berserk as they know shit is about to go down.  Owens is like an animal stalking his prey, inviting McMahon into his lair to be dismantled as he paces back and forth restlessly awaiting the completion of his ascent.  As McMahon finds his footing on top of the cold steel mesh, he locks eyes with his adversary and the hatred between the two men is clear for all to see.  On one hand Owens believes McMahon is the man who has held him back for years, always denying him what he believes he deserves.  On the other side of the fence, McMahon sees this young lion as a disturbance to his established pack... a loose cannon who has not only terrorized his company but also his own daughter.  This is personal.  It's time to lay it all on the line and for each man to fight for his own pride and cause.*

*After what seems like an age, both men lunge at each other and begin landing rights and lefts, one after the other.  The blows are constant and each man lands equal shots on the other as the fans blow the roof off the place.  The Cell creaks sways slightly with each blow and neither man is letting up, each giving as good as the other.  Out of nowhere, Owens quickly knees McMahon in the gut, winding him completely and follows it up with a swift kick to his gonads.  McMahon crumbles to a heap on the top of the Cell as Owens smirks and wipes his bloodied lip as the fans rain down an insane amount of heat on him for his cheating ways.*

*Now that McMahon is hurt, Owens has him right where he wants him.   He kneels down on one knee as McMahon continues to writhe around in pain and trash talks him with words mostly unheard by the cameras, but there was definitely something about his daughter in there.  Owens lands a slap across the face of the downed McMahon.. and another... and another... then lifts him up slowly with evil intent on his face.   His head between his legs, everybody knows what's coming next...*

*POWERBOMB!*

*Noooo!  The panel of the Cell where McMahon's body collided with the steel gives way and much like the fall Mick Foley took years ago, the much older McMahon falls what must be 15-20 feet through the Cell and onto the ring canvas below in a moment where time appeared to be in slow motion before his body folded over in unnatural ways upon impact.  Vince is motionless as the fans chant "Holy Shit!" as Owens looks down from atop the Cell with no remorse for his actions whatsoever.*

*This is a moment that will live in history on the grandest stage of them all.  Not for it's spectacle.  Not for a once in a lifetime kind of thing.  But for the sheer brutality... the sheer violence and significance of the great Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself was ultimately destroyed and disrespected on this night.*

*The fans finally stop their chanting when they realize something is seriously wrong here, and how can there not be?  The EMTs are trying their best to tend to the chairman but what kind of a doctor or medical professional is trained for such an occurrence?  Owens doesn't care and he descends the Cell with the same cold, emotionless expression he has worn since carrying out his despicable deed.  He again wipes his bloodied mouth on his wrist tape as he continues up the entrance way, leaving behind the carnage.*

*He said he'd make an impact... and what an impact this is.  This match is over ladies and gentlemen.  There is no winner.  There is just one sole survivor... one destroyer.  And his name, is Kevin Owens.*

*Final Stand cuts to a final view of McMahon being loaded onto a stretcher before fading to a promotional video for tonight's main event while attempts are made to clear up the ring, remove the Cell and  somehow get the rest of the show back on track for the rest of the night with the loss of the chairman...*

(I had something better planned other than this wall of text, but I've been very sick for the past week and a half, probably the most sick I've been in my entire life, so thank god the show was extended to allow even for this to be posted.  I still liked it.  Hope you guys enjoyed this little mini-angle I had going even if it ended up being anti-climatic.)

The graphic appears on the Titantron for tonights Main Event, "The Future of XWL" Seth Rollins vs "The Best in the World" CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. Just a mere glimpse of the hometown hero sends the Chicago crowd into a frenzy of cheers, they can't wait to see their guy come to the ring and defend his Championship in his city, in front of his people but Seth Rollins along with J&J Security hope to put a hitch in that plan with a chance of Seth ROllins leaving the biggest event of the year holding two of the most coveted Championships in the business. It's not too long before chants for the hometown boy being to chanted like an anthem.

"CM PUNK!"
"CM PUNK!"
"CM PUNK!"

On any ordinary night, with these two men facing one another the fans would be biased to begin with but tonight it has been cranked up to 11. Seth Rollins will be walking into very hostile environment, needless to say nobody wants to see Rollins leave here tonight World Heavyweight Champion and there are signs scattered throughout the arena stating that if that be the case, Chicago will riot.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Riotsignfinal

Already a bitter taste in the back of the fans mouths as Seth Rollins has already secured the Intercontinental Championship without even lifting a finger and having his two cronies do his dirty work for him. The lights in the arena go out, submerging everyone into a sea of darkness. The only remaining light comes from the titantron where the graphic for tonights main event is still being displayed until that too fades to black.

A sickening reminder of just what Seth Rollins has done over the past couple of months from the fallout and wars with his former brothers of The Shield to alligning himself with Stephanie McMahon and The Authority, the hype clip has left a crowd which was already against Seth Rollins angry. Boos rain down from the Chicago crowd in anticipation of the man they're about to see and no later than expected...

That what was just needed to send the crowds boos and jeers into overdrive, the man who it seems the entire World openly and publicly despise but Rollins being Rollins doesn't seem to notice, as he walks out and acts as though the Chicago faithful laid out the red carpet for The Future's arrival. With his security either side, battered and bruised from their hellacious ladder match with Alex Shelley and Dean Ambrose, J&J Security stand proudly by Seth Rollins as he raises the prize that the fought so hard to achieve over his head.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 30c0cdf5d1285e4ca9decd95418a1571_original

Everyone seems to think Rollins being Champion is undeserved and feel Alex Shelley is still the rightful Champion and if not for the falling out between the two partners that may very well have been the case but Shelley knew the risks heading into his match, the stipulation was in place and you can't trust Ambrose as far as you can throw him. The Authority's plan worked like a charm and regardless how the people think, rules are rules, Seth Rollins is the rightful Intercontinental Champion and now he's heading to the ring to try and lay his claim to the World Heavyweight Championship.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 57dc1aed5491ad21b90eec7db84f9fa3_original

Rollins climbs up the turnbuckle, J&J direct everyones attention towards "The face of XWL" as throws the Intercontinental Championship over his head, he chuckles to himself as he lowers the Championship onto his shoulder and holds up his index finger and can be seen mouthing "One down. One to go" Letting the World know that soon the space on his other shoulder is reserved for the World Heavyweight Championship. He stands tall in the middle of the ring, basking in his moment, despite his moment suffering abuse from the capacity crowd it seems to bounce off the #1 Contender until the lights once again turn off.

The hometown crowd seems to have forgotten that Seth Rollins has even made an appearance because the hate that once filled the arena was quickly replaced by cheers and chants for the World Heavyweight Champion. The arena is shaking, the anticipation is high and they're just dying to get their fix of the Chicagoian. "The Best in the World", in his hometown, defending his World Heavyweight Championship, in the main event of the biggest event of the year and these people just can't wait.

"CM PUNK!"

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Maxresdefault

So long arena roof, you're no longer required. The Chicago crowd are sent into an absolute frenzy as Cult of Personality blasts through the speakers and the sound only trebles in volume as The World Heavyweight Champion, the Chicago boy walks out onto the stage accompanied by Paul Heyman. The two men stand in the middle of the stage, looking around the arena, Heyman is not usually one to care for the fans cheering or boo'ing him but even he can't help but soak in this atmosphere. Their attention turns to the ring, where Seth Rollins and J&J Security stand waiting for the Champs arrival. Punk drops to a knee, he taps his wrist twice before Heyman places his expensive looking wristwatch in front of Punk's face. Punk leans back and yells...

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Tumblr_m1tysuDF3T1r2ahfqo6_400

"IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!"

And throws his fist through the air. Punk hands his Championship to Paul Heyman who walks closely behind him, Punk then extends his arms either side of him before pointing up at what he will be fighting so hard to keep possesion of. He spins round to face his challenger, the two men lock eyes, neither of them short of confidence and both are 100% sure that they will be leaving tonight with the World Heavyweight Championship wrapped around their waist. Punk walks out onto the apron and looks out into the sea of people that are chanting his name, he starts getting hyped up and sclaes the turnbuckles, Heyman hands him the World Heavyweight Championship and Punk throws it up high in the air and shouts...

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Aaow153

"BEST IN THE WORLD!!"

Punk enters the ring and stands across from his opponent. Seth Rollins with J&J Security standing closely by, facing across from CM Punk who as always has Paul Heyman by his side. He must feel slightly better knowing that there will be someone looking out for him tonight, knowing how The Authority work and how J&J Security like to get involved in Rollins' matches, while still outnumbered no amount of bodies can make up for Paul Heyman's genius mind so the odds may very well be even. The two men meet in the ring and stand nose to nose, Seth Rollins raises his newly captured Intercontinental Championship in the air. Punk glances up and smirks as he raises the biggest prize in the game, his World Heavyweight Championship to which Rollins just simply stares at, knowing in his mind that this is the last time Punk's grubby hands will be on his Championship. The two men walk backwards into their respective corners, not taking their eyes off one another for a second to give no chance of the other man gaining an advantage. The bell rings and the Main Event is under way.

HEEL - XWL Final Stand VII 04/10/2015 - 04/17/2015 Achievement_Hunter_has_technical_difficulties_for_10_minutes

At this point in the match both men are beyond exhausted, they have used up the majority of the moves in their arsenal and still neither man has been able to put the other away. The stress of the situation can be seen clear on the faces of Paul Heyman and J&J Security, this is more closely contested than either side had anticipated. Both Champion and Challenger lay in the middle of the ring struggling to just make it up to their feet. They use one another to steady themselves and push their way up to a vertical base and it is there where they meet eye to eye once more. Punk hits Rollins with a short forearm which drops the challenger to a knee and is met by a huge cheer from the fans. Rollins pops back up to his feet and hits Punk with a punch to the jaw which staggers the Champion backwards into the ropes and is met by a boo from the fans. Punk uses the ropes to push himself back into the middle of the ring and lands a hard forearm to the ear which sends Rollins to the canvas briefly. Rollins uses the ropes to help himself back to his feet and propels himself back towards Punk and hits him with an elbow of his own which drops the Champion. This process continues, one after another taking their turn to strike, the crowd boo and cheer with the respective attackers until Rollins begins to get the upper hand and lands several hard shots which send Punk back into the ropes. Rollins Irish Whips but the Champ reverses and catches Rollins with a dropkick, as the challenger returns to his feet his is met by another which sends him into the corner. Punk goes on the attack with a clothesline but Rollins ducks and instead drives Punk face first into the corner with a Reverse STO. He covers...

1...

2...

Punk drives his shoulder off the canvas at the last possible moment, much to the relief of Paul Heyman and the Chicago crowd. Rollins can't believe it, J&J can't believe it but Rollins knows he is one more big move from putting the Champion out. He rolls under the bottom rope and stalks his opponent, waiting for Punk to return to his feet but he rolled out on the wrong side. Although not actually doing anything, Heyman's presence draws Rollins' attention momentarily before J&J Security walk around the ring post and tell Heyman to leave. Heyman obeys the order and raises his hand before making his way to another side of the ring. Rollins' eye is back on the prize, as Punk returns to his feet Rollins springboards and drives his knee forward but the distraction may have gave Punk a little time to regain his wits as he is able to use Rollins' mometum and whip him into a powerslam and in one fluid motion traps the neck and arm and locks Rollins in the Anaconda Vise. The Champ begins wrenching backwards, applying unbearable pressure and pain to the Challenger. Jaime Noble jumps up onto the apron and pulls the referee out of position. Punk pulls back once more and Seth Rollins taps! Seth Rollins is tapping out but the referee is unaware! Despite Paul Heyman pleas to turn around the referee is too busy dealing with Jaime Noble to realise what is happening in the ring.

Punk releases the hold, he is confused about why is not declared the winner of the match until Paul Heyman directs his attention to the referee being held up by Jaime Noble. Knowing he has just been robbed of a victory Punk is understandably pissed and walks over to Noble and grabs hold of his tie before delivering a hard punch to the jaw knocking Noble to the arena floor. Punk isn't done, he wants to make sure Noble can't interfere any longer, he waits for Noble to return to his feet and charges at the ropes but as he bounces back he is tripped by Joey Mercury causing Punk to stumble to his knees and in doing so gets caught by a sickening Curb Stomp!

The crowd can't believe it, they don't want to believe it as Rollins crawls into the cover but there is no count and suddenly there are huge cheers coming from the crowd as Paul Heyman has taken it upon himself to climb onto the apron and draw the referee over to him. What's good for the goose is good for the gander and Rollins well and truly has Punk pinned but like what happened to his opponent, the referee is in no position to declare him the new World Champion. The match is falling apart quickly due to outside interference, Rollins turns the referee around and asks him what's the deal and informs him that he just pinned the Champion.

Heyman uses this as his moment to remove himself from the situation and climbs down onto the floor. Mercury climbs up onto the apron to continue this arguement with the referee whilst unbeknownst to him Noble has returned to the apron and has hold of CM Punk. Rollins realises the situation and while the referee is distracted takes possesion of his Intercontinental Championship and charges towards his opponents but Punk ducks and Jaime Noble was unfortunate enough to take the Championship hit to the skull knocking him from the apron and possibly unconcious. Punk stumbles to the other side of the ring accidentally bumping the ref out of the way, making him very aware of what is going on but has no time to stop Rollins charging once more with the Championship but Punk drops to the side and Rollins accidentally takes out the other half of J&J Security. Both attempts have failed, Rollins turns and walks straight into a high Roundhouse kick to the side of the head, turning his legs to jelly and causing him to drop his Championship giving Punk the oppertunity to raise his opponent over his and hitting with a devastating GTS!

3!!!

The Chicago crowd jump to their feet as CM Punk has done it! He has defeated Seth Rollins and retained his Championship in his hometown! Paul Heyman slides into the ring with the World Heavyweight Championship in hand, CM Punk is running on empty, he's not 100% with it at the moment but he manages to forces himself up onto his knees. Paul Heyman stands before him, bows his head ans hands "The Best in the World" HIS World Heavyweight Championship and Punk can't help but stare into it. With the Chicago people behind him, chanting his name you can't deny that CM Punk has achieved a dream by defending his World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the biggest event of the year in Chicago. It's something stories are made of, Punk looks around at the crowd before finding some energy and climbing up onto the the turnbuckles. Tens of thousands of people  chanting his name and Punk can't help but get hyped up, he throws the Championship high over his head and declares one more time for the whole World to hear him

"BEST IN THE WORLD!!"

And it's hard to deny that fact. CM Punk has been around XWL for a very long time, you can't mention it and not think of Punk himself. He's tells it how he sees it, he doesn't claim to be a good guy but he has backed up every single word that he has ever spoken. Chicago believes it, Paul Heyman believes it, CM Punk not only believes it but proves it that he is the Best in the World and that the World Heavyweight Championship is securely around the waist of the TRUE face of XWL, not Seth Rollins but the man that these people have been chanting for since the cameras started rolling.

"CM PUNK!"
"CM PUNK!"
"CM PUNK!"

Punk holding the World Heavyweight Championship high above his head with Heyman standing behind him applauding is the last image of the live XWL broadcast as it slowly fades into black.
