XWL Breakdown : 5/23/2014 - 5/30/2014

The lights go dark in the arena and the tron lights up, showing a pitch black room. The sound of stones being dropped can be heard, one by one, falling into what sounds to be water….kerpluck….kerpluck…..kerplunk… All of a sudden a match is lit and the face of The Eater of Worlds glows in the fire's shadow as he lights a lantern and places it on the ground next to what looks to be a wooden bucket full of water. The camera goes back up to the face of Bray Wyatt as he tosses a stone in the air and catches it, repeating this process as he begins to smile.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

When I refer to thee as children do not mistaken it to be my way of referring to those who are inferior. For it is not. I do so to encourage you to allow yourself to be washed away of your impurities through me… For children are angels that have yet to die…



Bray Wyatt
Edge was not worthy of being saved. Nor was he willing. Let his inevitable fate serve you as a lesson, for now he will have to meet his judgment day..

Bray laughs as he puts his hand on Luke Harper's shoulder before whispering..

Bray lets loose with another devious chuckle, finding humor in the ominous words that strike fear into the hearts of most. His eyes open up and almost sparkle with maniacal glee as he watches one of his disciples in Luke Harper step forward, with the glow of the lantern casting an eerie shadow across the man’s face.

Harper stares into the camera, his eyes boring deep into the souls he wishes to capture along with his leader. The souls they claim to want to save. The eyes of this truly twisted and demented individual reveal nothing except for the one jarring truth of the matter: Harper is feeling nothing. No joy, no anger no sorrow. None. It was on full display earlier in the show, “it” being Harper’s desire to cause devastation the likes of which have never seen before.

All done in the name of Bray Wyatt.

Still staring into the camera, only the occasional, seemingly rare blink of the eyes serve as a reminder that this is a living man standing before us. Though The Wyatt’s definition of the words “living” and “man” are vastly different than that of the normal human being. After several haunting seconds of that piercing stare, Harper turns to face Bray and upon receiving whispers of encouragement, whispers urging him on to spread the word,  Harper slowly turns to face the camera once more. The lips that were nearly fully concealed by the disheveled beard growing on his face part and words begin pouring out.

There are so many people that won’t be saved… people that won’t make it to the other side. People that don’t deserve to. The warnings were all around them, but they chose to ignore them and now that their day of reckoning has shown up on their door step they’ve fooled themselves into believing that a padlock and a secluded hiding spot in a dark corner where they huddle together with their loved ones will grant them a gift of living to see another day. We can’t be stopped. The sights of destruction and mass-panic that fill their eyes will give them nightmares the few moments they take the risk to close their eyes to sleep and the look of pure terror in those eyes are all I will need to keep me amused. This world is ours for the taking.

A loud sheep's bah is heard as Erik Rowan's mask covered face fills the screen out of nowhere, startling most of the people in attendance due to the up until now quiet tone.

.. This world is full of millions of different societies, interchanging, intertwining.. But there is always one constant, no matter the size, beliefs, regardless of how unique it may be there will always be one whom is looked up to, one in charge. Some of you are only branded by one, but most of you carry many weights upon your backs.. I am strong.. I am strong enough to lift those weights off of your backs and throw them into the abyss, I am strong enough to wash away the brands that burn your skin.. But in order to do so all I need, all that I ask for.. is your unconditional faith. They train you to follow the commandments of men rather then trust the words of those who are pure of heart… They have created a world that in order to survive in you must serve, and in order to serve you must mask your inner self and paint a picture to surround that which society has deemed as wrong due to their false interpretation of that which is different. Their words coat you with wool and their intimidation forces you to see that which does not exist. They bear fangs which grow solely due to those who they look down upon, and which are fueled by your belief in their mirage of what power looks like. For they know not true unconditional power..

As Harper prepares to speak, it’s ever evident that not much has changed of his demeanor from before. His voice is still kept low and even with a hint of a growl, both menacing and chilling in its calm. It’s a truly jarring contrast to the leader of the pack who doesn’t hesistate to speak his gospel at the top of his lungs and always finds something to laugh about. Harper isn’t laughing as he speaks once more.

It’s the kind of power that we have and that we are not afraid to use. Instead of being angry at them for lying to you for so long so have your pitchforks and you have your torches pointed towards us because we’re not giving you the chance to say goodbye. Life is too short to drag it out any longer. What you saw before was just the beginning. The hunt has been grown to a scale bigger than you could ever imagine. We’re not targeting two men, but every man, and we take orders from no man and the only man you can trust during the war that he created has his hand out, offering to pull you to safety and refusing to take it is just giving them what they want.

You are what makes them strong, and if you refuse to let them grow then their fur will shed, their fangs will fall out, their claws will dull, and their wool will grow back, for their greatest secret is that they are simply sheep disguised in wolves clothing. And the hidden fact that stands so obviously in plain sight is this.. There are more of you then there are of them.. Without you.. There is no them… Children… The Sheep Outnumber The Wolves..

Yet you allow yourselves to be caged…you eat from their hands while they slowly poison your meals forcing you to depend on them for the a cure only they know.



Bray Wyatt
One voice may be ignored by unwilling ears, yet a sea of voices? Well that can't be ignored. And how does that sea begin? With one raindrop going against the current, showing all of the other rain drops that it is okay to try and make a difference, to try and make for a better tomorrow. Those are the ones I seek, those are the ones who are willing to be saved. For together, all of the little raindrops of the world can make a great ocean, capable of taking down any wall of lies that surround the hidden truth.

Bray voice trails off at the end of that poignant sentence and lets the silence fill the void left behind by his lack of words and deafen all those within earshot. People are now being forced to mull over the Wyatt’s words and chances are many of them would have preferred to not have heard them at all. While the majority have written these men off as a step-below cultists, driven crazy by their own beliefs that they’re trying to push onto the world (evidenced by the way they’ve successfully drawn the ire of nearly the entire XWL Universe) the scary part is that there may be one or two souls with nowhere else to go and no one else to turn to that are buying into what Wyatt is preaching. In many cases it only takes one fallen domino to begin the unstoppable cascade into complete annihilation of the world as they know it.

A sound suddenly cuts into the silence… the sound of laughter, or rather a chuckle emanating from Harper who has either been genuinely amused by the words of his leader or by the sick, twisted thoughts that could only be born inside of the mind of a man as deranged as he proudly proclaimed himself to be… though not in those exact words.



Luke Harper
So what will you do when you find yourself in the middle of the ocean? What will you do when the foundation that you built your life on begins to crumble and your ability to rebuild all depends on what you do next?

The third, sheep-mask donning member of The Wyatt Family sticks his head into the frame and utters a lone word that’s apparently the answer to the questions Harper has posed.

Bray looks down at the stone in his hand and continues tossing it in the air and catching it.

Bray Wyatt
You're being fooled maaaan… For years you've been taught to believe that you need someone to tuck you in at night, to tell you that everything's going to be okay… Yet you refuse to question them, you refuse to believe that at the rate things are going.. Everything's not going to be okay.. You think that your heroes can protect you? You think that they're out there protecting you from the evils of this world? Oh they're protecting you alright, but not from the evils, no, they're "protecting" you from the truth. They think that if they slide the world's demons under the carpet and make you believe that they have everything under control that it will work itself out in the end.. That's not how it works man, that's never how it worked. Demons can't be controlled by men..

Your heroes will be the first to go. They’ll be sacrificed by our hands and when they’re out of the way there will be no one left to lead you down the wrong past. We are the closest thing to hope that you will ever have from this day forward. The fantasy world that you all live in where the sun is always shining and the people are always smiling are coming to an end because he says that it must. It’s time for you all to see the world for what it is: a place where evil comes out to play and where monsters thrive. We’re not telling you anything you don’t already know. We’re telling you everything you don’t want to believe.

They say that the greatest structure that men have created were the pyramids. Well this is true. However I speak of a pyramid unbeknownst to you. Great in it's ability to deceive. A pyramid where the "wolves" are at the top, at the point, protecting the sheep from the rain. But what you don't know is that if you remove the point, if you slay the wolves, then the rain will be divided evenly for all to share before falling onto the ground like it always has. And you will find that the untouched rain which the wolves claim to protect you from, holds more treasures then you've ever imagined.

Bray rolls the stone in the palm of his hand

All it takes is one.. One stone to cause the ripple effect that can change the world..

Bray drops the stone he was holding and the camera shows it hitting the water, the impact of the stone causing a ripple effect that in time reaches the edges of the bucket.

Luke Harper
Those ripples can become the waves of a tsunami that will wipe out an entire civilization in the blink of an eye. Don’t blink. If you do you’ll miss the sight of the men standing in the middle of the ruins while the buzzards feast.

Harper blows out the lantern, surrounding the arena in darkness as the bone chilling sound that follows goes off.

Normal Match

The theme song of Davey Richards plays throughout the arena. The American Wolf enters onto the stage and receives a surprising mixed reaction from the audience. Davey looks focused as he looks into the audience for a moment.

[Justin Roberts]
"This next bout is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Othello, Washington... Davey Richards!"



Davey raises his arm into the air, then starts his way toward the ring. Davey looks focused as he knows he has a huge task at hand against the man he will be going one on one with in just a few moments. Davey goes to corner of the barricade and climbs it where the fans cheer for him.



Davey backs off the barricade and enters the ring. In the ring, Davey removes his t-shirt, then tosses it and his towel on the outside of the ring. Davey's theme song fades to silence, as everyone is awaiting the man that is about to enter.

As the theme song picks up, Shinsuke Nakamura eccentrically enters onto the stage. He flails his arms at his side, while making odd facial expressions toward the camera. The arena erupts in cheers as it would seem they've found a new favorite superstar in Nakamura.



[Justin Roberts]
"...and his opponent from Mineyama, Kyoto, Japan... Shinsuke Nakamura!"

Nakamura performs one of his many signature taunt as he walks down the entrance ramp...



...before suddenly...

Tyson Tomko comes rushing down the entrance ramp and delivers a massive lariat to the back of Nakamura's skull, knocking Nakamura down to the ground. Tomko kneels down beside Nakamura and lifts him up by his hair. When he gets Nakamura up to his feet he presses him against the ring apron and yells "I told you, you didn't want this problem!" before he gives Nakamura a stiff chop to his chest. Tomko then lifts Nakamura up onto his shoulder, walks backwards 5 feet from the apron and darts right back, driving Nakamura spine first into the apron and then drops him. Nakamura falls to his knees, holding onto his back. Tomko then puts Nakamura's head between his legs and lifts him up for a powerbomb. He then elevates Nakamura into the air and powerbombs him onto the apron and rolls him into the ring for Davey Richards. "Problem solved" Tomko says walking backward up the ramp with a smug smile on his face.

In the ring, the referee checks on Shinsuke Nakamura. Asking him if he's alright to compete after that vicious attack from Tomko. As Nakamura slowly makes it to his feet, Davey Richards stands on the opposite side of the ring, unsure what to do. Will he spare the wounded 'King Of Strong Style' or will he do what he has to do to pick up the victory here tonight. After all, victory goes a long way here in XWL. Then again, what could be the backlash of beating an injured man?

To his feet now, the referee asks Nakamura once more if he wants to compete. Nakamura confirms that he is ready with the nod of his head. The referee backs off, then calls for the bell.

The match begins.

With his hands of his hips, Davey Richards shakes his head, disapproving of Nakamura's heart and will to continue on with this match. The two men meet in he center of the ring, Nakamura still holding his back in pain. Davey mouths the words "Come on, man." to Nakamura. Angered by Davey's pity toward him, Nakamura pushes Davey's face. With his hands still on his hips, Davey stumbles backward. Davey gains a grin that you can tell means, "Did he really just do that?" The grin quickly fades from Davey's face as Davey turns around and begins landing a bombardment of kicks and punches, until Nakamura is down to his knees. Davey stops for a moment and looks at the barely conscious Shinsuke Nakamura.

Davey shakes his head one more time in disappointment. He looks into the crowd for a moment, then back at Nakamura who is still on his knees. Davey squares up, then goes for a kick to Nakamura. The kick lands clean, colliding with the side of Nakamura's head. Nakamura crumbles to the mat. Davey goes for the cover.

"Here is your winner... Davey Richards!"

Davey wastes little time and exits the ring. He makes his way up the ramp. When he reaches the stage, he comes face to face with the man that injured Shinsuke Nakamura in the first place, Tomko. Tomko stands there with his arms crossed. For a moment, he glances at Davey Richards. He then focuses his attention back toward the ring. Davey shakes his head in disgust before leaving for the back.

Nakamura lays in the center of the ring. He can be seen with his head turned to the side, looking up to the stage where his attacker stands. Nakamura attempts to side up, but the pain in his back is just too much. Instead, Nakamura uses his arms to drag himself to the bottom rope. There, he gets a better view of the man that has be him HIS problem, Tomko. As Davey Richards' theme song fades out, we here Nakamura yelling something in his native language, Japanese. Nakamura yells "臆病者!" over and over again. This can be translated to the word "coward!". After a few moments, Tomko lets out a chuckle before heading to the back.

As Nakamura is helped out of the ring be the referee, we cut away to the next segment of the evening.

The crowd cheer wildly as John Cena's entrance music plays throughout the arena.

Jim Ross
Here we go folks, John Cena is on his way to the ring, one of the final four  competitors in the king of the ring tournament.

Jerry Lawler
Just listen to this reaction! The people sure do love John Cena

John Cena sprints onto the stage, a huge smile plastered across his face as he looks out to all of his adoring fans before raising his hand to his forehead with a salute, and running full speed down the ramp, toward the ring.

Michael Cole
Just look at the way he plays up to the fans like that, it's disgusting.

Jerry Lawler
Come on Cole, he's not playing up to them at all. Can you not see that smile on Cena's face? He's genuinely happy to be receiving a reaction like this.

Jim Ross
Like him or not, Cena's made it crystal clear that he adores the XWL audience, and whether you agree with them or not Cole, it's quite clear to me that the audience shares that adoration.

As he reaches the ring, Cena jumps up into the air and slides underneath the bottom rope, into the ring. His music still playing, he walks over to the other side of the ring and motions for a microphone, which is promptly handed to him by the ring announcer.

Jerry Lawler
Well it looks like John has something he wants to say.

Michael Cole
Of course he does. He secured his place in the King of the Ring tournament last week with a fluke victory over Kane. He's probably out here to brag.

Jim Ross
Oh Cole, you know that John Cena is not the type to come out to the ring and brawl his achievements, how about all three of us just stop talking and listen to what he has to say before we pass judgement?

Cena's music comes to a halt as he heads to the centre of the ring, microphone in hand. The crowd finally start to die down as he raises his microphone to speak.

John Cena
I'll never get tired of coming out here and hearing a reaction like that. Thank you!

The crowd cheer louder as Cena gives his gratitude.



John Cena
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You people in this arena, the people watching at home all around the world, and yes, even the people watching illegally online. Each and every one of you who tune in to watch Breakdown every single week, you are the reason that I lace up my boots, put on this shirt and this cap, and come out here to do what I do best, which is to perform in this ring and deliver a special kind of entertainment that only I can. Whether you're chanting 'Let's go Cena', or 'Cena Sucks', you drive my motivation to keep going on until I just physically can't go any more... I know that I couldn't possibly pay you back for all of the appreciation and support that you've given me over the past decade, but that doesn't mean that I'm not going to try... Starting with this years King of the Ring tournament.

Cena smiles as the crowd pop.

Michael Cole
Here we go, what did I tell you? He acts all sincere, and just when you think he might actually be doing this for the selfless reasons he professes, he goes right back to thinking about himself.

Jim Ross
Hush! These people are thrilled to see John in the King of the Ring tournament, Cole .

John Cena
It's no secret that 2013 was the quietest year of my career. Sure, I may have attended a few shows, made a couple of enemies,  maybe even gotten into a fight or two, but I didn't do anything worth remembering, and when the clock struck midnight on the 31st of December, I made my own new years resolution, I told myself that I was going to turn things around and revitalize my career, starting with capturing the United States Championship, I told the world my plan, and I ended up being hand picked by Stephanie McMahon herself to compete against Prince Devitt for the opportunity I'd been seeking. Now we all know how that turned out, so I won't bore you with the details. But I wasn't going to let such a minor slip up derail my goals. I picked myself up, dusted  myself off, and got right back into the race, and like any other race, there were a couple of hurdles on the track.



John Cena
The first hurdle standing in my way was short. Short, but really wide. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how wide it was. Of course I'm talking about the one and  only, Paul Heyman. Now  usually, I'd jump a hurdle of this size in a flash, but this particular one was very special, it had a magic power, the ability to summon other, bigger hurdles to protect itself. The first set proved not too difficult, Edge, Goldberg  and Prince Devitt... In fact, now that I think about it, they pretty much took themselves out, I guess I got lucky huh? But then when I got to the second set, I got a little held up as the viper, Randy Orton decided to try and make me a victim by attacking me every week. Luckily for me, Randy wasn't exactly the  best strategist. Attempting to attack me for the third time in the exact same way that he had done the first two times... What can I say? I saw it coming, and  after his defeat at Final Stand, Randy learned the hard way, that you can't make a victim out of John Cena. With the first two sets now gone, the short, wide hurdle was once again in sight, but as I got closer, out of nowhere, the largest hurdle that I've ever seen popped out to block  my way.

Michael Cole
This is pathetic... I'm cringing

John Cena
The Beast Incarnate, BROCK LESNAR! In what was one of the biggest challenges I've ever had to face in my life. I endured weeks of torment at the hands of Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, but it all came to a sudden end as I sent Brock Lesnar crashing through a table at Dead Man's Hand. Now with most of its energy drained, the resilient, small hurdle used the last of its power to summon one final hurdle, the toughest and the strongest hurdle you will ever see. Still not willing to give up, Paul Heyman aligns himself with Cesaro, the man who just happens to be my opponent in the semi final of  the King of the Ring tournament. The final chapter in the Paul Heyman versus John Cena saga turns out to be the most important contest of them all. With the hopes and dreams of each man hanging in the air, who will prove victorious as John Cena comes face to face with Paul Heyman's newest client, the King of Swing, Cesaro? One thing's for sure, next week, right here on breakdown, this race will FINALLY come to an end.

Just as  Cena finishes his sentence.



The crowd are shocked, a trait shared by John Cena who doesn't appear to know how to react as the entrance music of  Bobby Roode hits the arena.

Jerry Lawler
Is it really him? It's been three long months since we last  heard this song...

Michael Cole
Bobby Roode returns! And what great timing!

Blue lights shine down on to the stage as smoke starts to fill the area, the crowd are left speechless as Bobby Roode walks out onto the stage, looking ready to compete, wearing his ring gear along with a black hooded shirt. Stopping for a short moment at the ramp, Roode looks over to John Cena in the ring.



Still unsure what to make of the situation, Cena leans back against the ring ropes and waits as Roode makes his way down the ramp.

Jim Ross
I won't pretend to know what Bobby Roode has in mind, interrupting John Cena and coming down to the ring like this, but from the look on his face, it can't be anything good.

Jerry Lawler
That's an understatement J.R. I mean just think about the things we've seen him do over the past year, the people he's associated himself with, this won't end well.

Michael Cole
J.R, were you not the one who just said that we shouldn't pass judgement until we've at least heard what the man has to say first?

Jim Ross
I did say that, you're right Cole, I'll listen to what Roode has to say.

Roode heads over to the announcers corner and grabs himself a microphone before turning back to the ring, pulling himself up onto the apron with the ropes, he enters the ring through the top and middle ropes.



Bobby Roode
Isn't this just precious? John Cena coming out to the ring to tell the world another famous fairy tale from the  leader of the Cenation himself. I'm almost sorry I had to interrupt you. See over the past few months I've been out of action, I've sat at home with my family tuning in to this show every week, not as a wrestler or an employee, but as a fan, just like any other member of the audience. I  sit there with my wife and my three sons, and we watch the show from beginning to end, although I'll admit that I do tend to phase out whenever Eric Young or Matt Striker are on the screen, but hey, who doesn't?

John Cena
Where are you going with this Roode? Just cut to the chase.

Bobby Roode
I'm sorry, am I taking up your valuable time? Do you have somewhere better to be John? Well, tough it out because whether you want to or not, you're going to listen to what I have to say. So, we're watching the show, and all of a sudden, your music hits John, which brings a smile to my kids  faces, they watch with wide eyes as you make your entrance, and when you grab that microphone and you open your mouth to speak, they are completely mesmerised by your words.

Cena cracks a smile.

Bobby Roode
Yeah, I'm sure that fills you with joy, doesn't it John? Now,  my youngest two, all they seem to care about is the stories that you tell, but my oldest son, well he's an entirely different story. Last we week, we watched as you defeated Kane to move on in this King of the Ring tournament, congratulations by the way.

John Cena
Thank you, Rob.



Bobby Roode
After the show finally came to an end, my wife and my youngest sons had left the room, and my oldest son, he turns to me and he says, Dad, I want to be a professional wrestler... At first, I didn't know how to react, I felt pride, but I also felt something else, I suppose you could call it my parental instincts kicking in. I worried about his health, the toll that the life of a professional wrestler would take on him, both physically and mentally. I wanted to be sure that he would be doing it for all of the right reasons, so I asked him, I said, “Why do you want to be a professional wrestler, son?” Nothing could have possibly prepared me for his answer as he looked into my eyes and he told me that he wanted to be just like John Cena.

Cena cracks another smile.

Bobby Roode
All of the pride that I'd felt towards my son just moments before disappeared before my eyes and was replaced with nothing but sickening shame. Not towards my son, but towards my self, for ever allowing him to buy into the disease that is the Cenation. I did what any sane father would, I told my son exactly what you are John, I opened his eyes to your fraudulent persona. I told him that the John Cena he sees on the television screen each and every week, that man doesn't exist, he's nothing but a  false prophet created by a greed driven, self centred, egomaniac who is hell bent on destroying anyone who gets close to his spotlight. I gave him a history lesson John, I explained to him how you were the sole reason behind WWE's demise, how your intent to bury every single superstar led the company to bankruptcy. How Vince McMahon's misplaced trust in you led to the most sorry years of his life. It actually didn't take me all that long to convince him that you weren't worthy of his admiration..

John Cena
Look, Robert, I'm sorry that you feel that way, but I...



Bobby Roode
Did I say I was finished? After I saved my son from making the biggest mistake of his life, I thought about how all the other children out there will continue to buy into this ruse, that I might end up having to go through the same thing again with my other sons in a couple of years time. So I decided that I had to put an end to all of it, to save every single child out there by showing them that the one they look up to is nothing but a fake, and as I got to thinking about how I could do that, it came to me, I'm going to beat you at your own game by taking you out of the King of the Ring tournament, right here, right now.

The crowd are cheering at the idea of a match between Bobby Roode and John Cena.

John Cena
I understand that you're upset, it must have been hard to hear that your son respects a man he's never met more than his own father.

Roode's cheeks turn red as the crowd start an 'OOOH' chant. Cena takes off his cap and places it down at the apron.



John Cena
From my point of view, you're annoyed with your son and for some bizarre reason, you've decided to take your anger out on me. I get it, more often than not there's someone coming down to this ring to pick a fight with me, to complain about how I steal the spotlight, about how I'm not deserving of any of the opportunities that I get. I'm starting to see that I'll never be able to put my past behind me, that no matter how hard I try to bury it, it's always going to rise back to the surface, so I'm not going to hide from it any more. I achieved a lot in my time in WWE, and I'm entirely in debt to the McMahon family for everything that they've done for me, but I have never, and would never, intentionally set out to destroy a  fellow superstars career, or the company that I work for. You can think what you like of me, say whatever you want to me, and spout all the lies in the world about to me to anyone who will listen to you, but at the end of the day, I'll still be the same man I was before. Prove to all of the members of the Cenation army that you're as good as you claim to be.

John Cena
I've never claimed to be better than anyone, but you know me Rob, I don't turn down a fight, but if you really believe I'm not worthy of the King of the Ring, then let's make this a little bit more interesting. You win, you can have my place in the King of the Ring tournament.

Roode smirks as the crowd start to boo.

John Cena
But if I win, you tuck your tail between your legs, and you apologise to your son.

Roode is still grinning from cheek to cheek.

Bobby Roode
I promise you, you're going to regret that decision. You're on! Get a referee down here!

Bobby Roode pulls off his sweater and throws it onto the floor outside the ring as John Cena pulls of his shirt and tosses it into the crowd.

Jerry Lawler
Is this really happening? Is John Cena really about to put his King of the Ring spot on the line?

Michael Cole
You're damn right he is. Cena's mouth has gotten him into a situation he can't escape from, Bobby Roode may very well be our next King of the Ring.

An XWL referee comes running down the ramp to the ring, he slides under the bottom rope and prepares himself as John Cena signals for the bell to ring.

King of the Ring – Normal Match



*DING DING*

Roode wastes no time as he launches himself towards Cena and tackles him to the ground, throwing punches left and right as Cena does his best to guard his face. The referee attempts to pull Roode away, which only angers him further. He gets up to his feet and walks up to the referee, who slowly backs away. Roode throws slurs at the referee as Cena gets back to his fee, lying in wait as Roode turns around, Cena takes him by surprise, lifting him up into the air, hitting his signature spinning powerbomb. Roode feels the impact on his back as he hits the canvas with a thud. Cena considers covering his opponent, but decides against it, rushing up against the ropes, it's clear what he's looking for as he bounces back against them and jumps into the air, bringing his fist down against Roode's face, hitting the five knuckle shuffle. The crowd go wild as Cena waits for the dazed Roode to lift himself to his feet.

Jim Ross
Could this really be it? Could it already be over for Bobby Roode?

Michael Cole
No! No, Bobby, don't get up!

Roode pulls himself up to his knees, then to his feet, he staggers around for a split second and turns around to a prepared John Cena, who hoists him up onto his shoulders. Struggling to get a grip, Cena moves to the center of the ring, but Roode manages to slip out of the hold, running towards the ropes as Cena turns around into a thunderous spear which knocks him flat out. Everyone in the arena appears shocked as Roode dives into the cover, the referee quickly slides over for the count.

No! No! No! This can't be happening!

Michael Cole
It can, and it is! Bobby Roode defeats John Cena, replacing him in the King of the Ring tournament! Can this night get any better?

Roode sits up in amazement, his jaw locked in it's dropped position as he still can't quite believe his victory. Rolling out of the ring, he raises his arms in celebration as the crowd show their distaste by booing him. Cena finally starts to stir in the ring, he manages to sit up, and his loss quickly dawns on him. Looking out to all of the disappointed faces in the audience, Cena lowers his head into his hands.



Everyone stops in their tracks as the entrance music of the General Manger hits. Stephanie makes her way to the ring, staying on the ramp, she raises her microphone up to her lips.



Stephanie McMahon
First of all, I'd just like to say, congratulations on your victory, Bobby,

Roode smiles again at the appreciation of his boss

Stephanie McMahon
That was, well that was one of the shortest matches I've seen in a while, but it was a hard earned victory,  which is why it pains me to tell you that, I'm afraid John Cena does not have the power to make matches on my show, unfortunately, that means I have no choice but to strike this from the record, which means that John Cena will be keeping his position in the King of the Ring tournament, effective immediately.

Roode is in shock, furious at Stephanie's decision, he slams the apron with his fists.

Stephanie McMahon
Now as entertaining as all of this was, I'm afraid the show has to go on, so if you could just go backstage, that would be great. Thank you gentlemen.

Still furious, Roode looks into the ring at Cena who is still sat down in the same position, looking down. Fueled by anger, Roode re enters the ring, rushing up to the unexpecting John Cena with a boot to his face that knocks him back down to the canvas.

Jim Ross
What was that for?!

Michael Cole
Are you kidding? Bobby Roode didn't ask John Cena to put his opportunity on the line, Cena's ego did that, and now Stephanie McMahon has the nerve to come down here and strike the match from the records? That's not fair at all!

Roode grabs his hooded shirt and leaves the ring, storming his way back to the locker room, leaving John Cena in the ring, doubting himself after almost losing everything he's worked for as we head off to a commercial break.

-15 minutes into the match-

BreakDown returns from commercial break as we see Kenny King and Daniel Bryan still battling it out in their first round King of the Ring match. King has the advantage as he has Daniel backed up in the corner and starts to lay into him with vicious knees right to the stomach of Daniel knocking the wind completely out of him. King takes him by the arm and throws him to the opposite corner looking for a hard Irish Whip but Daniel counters it!



Daniel climbs the turnbuckle and backflips off as King was running towards him, King lands face first on the turnbuckle and swings for Bryan but Bryan ducks holding his momentum and knocks King down with a huge running forearm. King rolls out of the ring to regain his composure but Daniel doesn’t want to give up the fight as he runs against the ropes at full speed and looks for a suicide dive but Kenny King was playing possum as he jumps up with a well timed flash kick to Bryan right as he was about to leave the ring! Daniel falls back into the ring with force as King rolls into the ring and pins.

Kickout! King looks shocked as he gets up questioning the referee telling him that it was definitely a three count, as Kenny has his back turned he doesn’t notice Daniel regaining his composure in the corner.



You can see a focused Daniel stare at Kenny with a determined look and once Kenny turns around Daniel blasts him with a huge dropkick sending him right into the corner, Kenny stays there holding his jaw as Daniel runs back to the opposite corner and back to King with a dropkick and runs right back repeating it twice more. King crumbles to the ground and now Daniel climbs the turnbuckle as he perches the top rope looking for a diving headbutt but King shoves the referee into the rope causing Daniel to crotch himself and fall down. King pulls Daniel onto his shoulders looking for the royal flush but Daniel drops back with a German suplex. King is on his knees now as Daniel hypes himself up.



Daniel kicks King as hard as he can in the chest as the fans shout “YES!” in unison with the kick, Daniel kicks again and again and again and then finally moves back looking for the final blow.



He swings for the shot to the head but King ducks it and hits a big lariat to the back of the head knocking Daniel down singling out Daniel’s neck. He picks him up and starts clubbing at his upper back and neck not showing any mercy on Daniel after his recent neck surgery. King holds Daniel up for a suplex but then drops him down with a brainbuster right on that neck as Kenny gloats feeling like he’s got this one in the bag as the fans boo furiously. King goes to pick Daniel up by the head but as he lays on his back Daniel manages to kick him right in the forehead! King falls back down as Daniel rolls to the corner and slowly extends his arms in the air signalling a barrage of “YES!” chants.



The chants get louder and faster as King gets up and turns right into a furious high knee! The fans burst into huge cheers as Daniel covers King right away.

The fans continue to cheer in celebration as Daniel Bryan wins his return match advancing in the King of the Ring tournament to join Cesaro and John Cena in the semi-finals. Daniel rallies the fans behind him with more “YES!” chants as the commentators talk.



[Jim Ross] What an outstanding performance to both of these men but I tip my hat to Daniel Bryan to come off a neck surgery and pull off a win like that, he didn’t miss a step out there!

[Michael Cole] This is ridiculous! Kenny King should be advancing, it’s in his name, he’s Kenny KING! Daniel Bryan should still be at home with a neck brace crying watching BreakDown while eating vegan ice cream!

[Jerry “The King” Lawler] From one king to possibly another, congratulations to Daniel Bryan. He’s going on to face the winner of Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Randy Orton next week!

[Jim Ross] A solid win for Daniel tonight, but he still has a long way to go.

We return from commercial break to see the XWL audience in the RimRock Auto Arena. The camera is panning throughout the audience before "Angel Eyes" by New Years Day comes through the sound system and everyone in the audience turns there attention towards the stage. The camera pans to the stage as we see Candice LeRae's titantron on screen.



LeRae slowly walks out of the curtain with her right hand on her face mask. She rubs the mask before balling her hand into a fist and dropping it to her side. She looks around the arena and then looks down at the stage and shakes her head. She continues to look down at the ramp as she begins to walk down it. A fan has his hand extended hoping for Candice to slap it in approval but instead when LeRae sees the hand she rushes over to the fan and gets in his face yelling "Are you mocking me?!". She turns her head back to the ring and continues to walk down the ramp ignoring the fan who is confused at what just took place. LeRae slides underneath the bottom rope then crawls to a corner and awaits for her opponent.

Michael Cole
You know guys this is the second time in Candice LeRae's career that she has had an opportunity to face the divas champion.

Jim Ross
I think we all know what happened in that first match against Paige too.

Jerry Lawler
Who could forget? I mean its not like we have much of a choice. Candice has to wear the outcome of that match ever since.

Jim Ross
I'm not discrediting Paige in anyway but the hardest hitting diva in the division is definitely the current champion and LeRae is in for a fight tonight.

Michael Cole
With Candice LeRae's recent actions though I don't think she would have it any way.

The commentators are interrupted by the sound of the current diva champion Madison Eagles music. The camera zooms over to the stage as the crowd roars in excitement for Eagles waiting for her to come out.



As Madison walks out onto the stage with the Diva's championship around her waist and the crowd cheer for her once again and she starts to make her way down the ramp as the camera from the floor looks up at the giant Diva's champion until she reaches ringside where she walks up the steel steps and wipes her feet on the apron before entering the ring whilst removing her championship from her waist and placing in infront of her on the mat before dropping to a knee and spreading her arms out like a bird and flicking her hair out of her face, posing there until her music fades out. Then at that point Madison gets back to her feet and walks over to the side of the ring nearest the announcers table and hands her title to the announcer at ringside, then as both Madison and Candice are ready the referee signals for the bell to begin the match

Michael Cole
There goes the bell.

Jerry Lawler
The bell is ringing and Eagles is ready for this fight.

The divas champion walks to the center of the ring after the bell had been rung and she extends her hand looking for LeRae to shake in a sign of respect. Candice advances to the middle of the ring slowly and once she is face to face with Eagles she just stares her up and down. Candice locks hands with Madison but she does not shake, instead she throws a elbow with her other arm but it seems as though Eagles was expecting it as she ducks under and gets a quick waist lock on LeRae. The divas champion hits a german suplex on Candice LeRae. LeRae is now rising back to her feet as Eagles is waiting on her. Once Madison sees an opportunity she rushes in and throws a vicious kick that connects to the back of Candice's head dropping her back to the mat. Eagles begins to call for a chokeslam as she awaits for LeRae to stand back up. The dazed Candice stands slowly and turns right into the grasp of The Punisher Madison Eagles but when Eagles lifted LeRae into the air Candice was able to counter into a DDT which left both women down.

What a huge counter for LeRae.

Candice needs to use this time to quickly recover.

Jerry Lawler
Well its hard to do that when Madison Eagles is already rising to her feet!

Candice turns to see a rising Eagles and she takes full advantage by rushing in and going after Madison's leg with a chop block that sends the unsuspecting Eagles down. LeRae gets up quickly and continues working on the leg of Madison sending a few elbows and kicks to the knee and shin of the divas champion. She ends the attacks by grabbing Eagles ankle then trapping it under her arm and connecting with a big leg DDT. Candice looks around the arena soaking up all the boos she is receiving from the crowd and turns those boos into a onslaught of wild strikes. About twenty percent of all the strikes LeRae is throwing connect but the eighty that have not connected allow the smart champion to get a counter in and roll out of the way. LeRae tries to get back on the assault but Eagles who is back on her feet throws a unsuspecting roundhouse kick which catches Candice right in the jaw which is one of the only places actually on her face that is unprotected. LeRae drops like a sack of potatoes from the hard impact. Eagles takes a smarter approach and does not throw wild strikes instead she takes her time and throws consistent strikes to the torso of the down LeRae. Madison pumps up the crowd before going back on offense.

After Jim Ross says that the feed fades to commercial.





As the cameras return from the commercial break Candice has Madison's leg wrapped around the turnbuckle post on the outside of the ring and she slams Madison's left knee into the post rattling her knee, as she focuses in her target. Then quickly Candice again grabs Madison's leg and slams it back into the ring post continuing the focus on Madison's knee, zeroing in on her weakness before re-entering the ring

Michael Cole
We are back live on Breakdown as this match continues and Candice LaRae is really bringing it to Madison right now.

Jim Ross
This match was turned on it's head during the commercial break with Candice LaRae focusing on the knee of her opponent, chopping her down to size. And she's been on top ever since.

Jerry Lawler
And remember Madison has a history of knee injuries, before coming to XWL, Madison spent over a year on the shelf with a near career ending knee injury.

Still in control of the match, Candice grabs Madison's leg and drapes it over the bottom rope, holding it in place with her own foot, before jumping up and stomping down Madison's leg before grabbing her leg and putting her in a Leg Lock in the middle of the ring applying the pressure, hoping to force Madison Eagles into tapping out!

Jim Ross
Candice really has zeroed in on Madison's knee, and she could have her right here. She's in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go!

Jerry Lawler
Madison's tough, but this could be it for her, Candice has the hold locked in, if she beats Madison right her,e you'd have to think she'd be next in line for a shot at the gold.

With the hold locked in in the middle of the ring, Madison grabs one of Candice's legs still wrapped around her own and she twists her ankle trying to jar it forcing Candice to lose her grip and break the hold, as both woman get to their feet with Madison favoring her right leg and she elbows Candice in the face before grabbing her head and lifting her up for a Suplex, however she's unable to keep her opponent suspended in the air and drops her back down in front of her back on her feet giving Candice the chance to grab Madison by the head and pulling her over to the turnbuckle but before she can slam Madison's head in the corner, she blocks it with her left foot and kicks Candice in the head for her troubles

Michael Cole
What a shot by Madison! Candice looks out on her feet!

Jim Ross
But it could prove to be a big mistake, you just know her leg must be killing her right now.

Jerry Lawler
Sometimes that's what it takes though, it could of brought Madison the time she needs.

Feeling the pain from what could prove to be a costly move, Madison hobbles over to the dazed Candice LaRae and grabs her by the head before planting her with a Reverse STO and goes for the cover!

As the referee signals for the bell the victor Madison Eagles' theme starts to play again as the referee hands her her championship back to her as she gets back to her feet using the ropes as support trying to stand up putting minimal weight on her left leg

A hard fought victory for the champion, but a victory nonetheless.

Jerry Lawler
Candice certainly gave it her all, and she came close tonight, but it wasn't to be for her tonight.

Jim Ross
Well that might be so, but she's left her mark on Eagles', you can see her favoring her knee following Candice's attack during the match.

With Eagles' theme still blaring in the background, Candice rolls out of the ring through the bottom rope, still semi conscience after that Reverse STO. The current Divas Champion raises her championship proudly into the air, showing tonight why she is in fact champion. Her celebration swiftly comes to an end as her theme abruptly stops, causing her to look towards the stage in minor confusion.



It quickly becomes apparent as the theme of the former Divas Champion, Paige, begins to play throughout the arena, causing Eagles to pull herself away from the ropes and stand in the center of the ring, awaiting the arrival of what could only be a bitter Paige. Obviously still feeling the effects of the match that she just went through, a picture perfect reflection of what happened eight nights ago when Eagles cashed in on Paige, only with the roles reversed, Eagles has no choice but to stand her ground, even in her seemingly weakened state.

Seconds quickly tick by, testing Eagles' patience, who's wielding the Divas Championship as a weapon. Just when it seemed this was just Paige playing mind games on the woman that dethroned her, the self proclaimed “Anti-Diva” walks out from behind the curtain, rage slowly building in her eyes as she looks at the reason she's no longer champion. Paige's focus remains on Eagles, who begins taunting Paige by raising the Divas Championship into the air, causing Paige to begin her descent down the entrance ramp, inching closer and closer to the impending war that's sure to happen.

Eagles prepares herself for the slowly approaching Paige, but just as she makes it halfway down the ramp, her slow approach quickly turns into a sprint as she runs towards the ring, sliding under the bottom rope and ducking under the Divas Championship that was swung at her head. The championship flies out of Eagles' hands, causing her to turn around only to get pounced by Paige with a Lou Thesz Press like maneuver. Instead of unloading forearm shots, Paige takes two handfuls of hair and begins slamming Eagles' head onto the canvas repeatedly.

After what must have felt like an eternity, Eagles is able to fight out of it, managing to push Paige off of her. Her moment of solace doesn't last long as Paige goes right back on the offensive, catching a slowly rising Eagles with a forearm across the jaw, sending her stumbling backwards towards the nearest turnbuckle. Paige is now in pursuit and puts her back to Eagles, who is leaning on the turnbuckle, and begins unloading a series of rapid fire back elbows, sending Eagles to the verge of unconsciousness.

Paige walks away from the turnbuckle and towards the center of the ring, letting out one of her signature screams as Eagles drops to the canvas. With Eagles now in a downed state, Paige walks over to her and takes a hold of her legs, dragging her towards the center of the ring. She begins to setup what could only be the Scorpion Cross Lock, the very same move that won her the Divas Championship in the first place and the move she used to retain eight nights ago against a very game Layla.

Before she could properly lock it in, Eagles comes to her senses and begins fighting out of it, but how much does she have left in the tank after that heated contest? Eagles manages to break free, and swiftly exits the ring, but not before kicking Paige right in her face while still on her back. Eagles grabs her Divas Championship and begins making her way up the ramp, not taking her eyes off of Paige in case she wants to continue this assault. Paige, who's still in the ring, has other plans and calls for a microphone from the timekeeper. A few seconds later, she receives it and speaks for the first time since losing her Divas Championship to the woman that's now standing on the stage.



{Paige}
I couldn't think of a more cowardly way to become Divas Champion, I couldn't think of a bigger fluke victory than what happened at Dead Man's Hand. It was only a matter of time before our paths crossed, Eagles, but some things never change, do they? Once a coward, always a coward. I'm not going to dwell on that loss, I'm not going moan and complain about how you took the easy way out, instead, I'm going to take back my Divas Championship.



{Paige}
In a couple of weeks, there's a Pay-Per-View that goes by the name of Supremacy. That is where we will meet once again. Only difference this time, however, is that you won't have the luxury of facing me after a grueling match, you won't be able to take the easy way out again. At Supremacy, I will prove that you becoming champion was nothing more than a fluke, and that when the odds aren't stacked in your favor, you can't beat me.



With that, Paige drops the microphone as the match for the Divas Championship has been set. It will be a rematch of what happened at Dead Man's Hand, but will Eagles repeat history and emerge victorious, or will Paige prove that her loss to Eagles was in fact a fluke? Paige's theme starts back up as her and Eagles engage in a brief staredown, causing the current champion to raise the Divas Championship high into the air, showing the live audience in attendance the prize that will be at stake at Supremacy. That's the last image shown before Breakdown fades out into a commercial break.

As Breakdown continues, Byron Saxton is stood by backstage with a microphone in his hand as he introduces his guest at this time

Bryon Saxton: Ladies and Gentlemen I am backstage live at XWL Breakdown and I am about to be joined by the man who later tonight goes one on one against Zack Ryder, of course I'm talking about the Showoff, Dolph Ziggler.

As he's introduced Dolph Ziggler walks into camera shot, standing next to Saxton



Dolph Ziggler: What's up BS.

Bryon Saxton: Dolph, firstly welcome, now tonight you go one on one with Zack Ryder, a man who your no stranger too, your history is well documented here in XWL, just what do you expect to happen out there tonight when you two face off one more time?

When Byron asks his question, Ziggler takes a brief moment to think about his answer, looking back at all the times he and Zack Ryder have faced off in XWL before calming answering



Dolph Ziggler: What do I expect will happen? That's not exactly an easy question, you see what I expect to happen when it comes to me and Zack Ryder is always so different what what actually happens, I mean no disrespect to the kid, but he's just not in my league. Come on, I like the guy, but let's be honest all anyone see's in him is a goofy kid with a silly catchphrase that once had a show on Youtube, and yet every time he steps into the ring with me, every time he's mention in the same sentence as me that all changes. It's no secret, I bring the BEST out of Zack Ryder, but still his best as you're going to find out later tonight just isn't good enough to beat me. So what you can expect is Zack Ryder to give it his all, everything he's got! But sorry kid, better luck next time, expect to see me go out there and do my thing, expect to see me steal the show just like every other night I've stepped in that ring and you can expect for me to get my hand raised once again as the winner.

Ziggler pauses for a moment in his answer as his swipes his hand through his hair before flicking his hand out in front of him, then as he does that her returns to where he left off



Dolph Ziggler: You see BS, the one thing you need to know bout me is everything I have, I have more of it than anyone else. Talent, Looks, Charisma, Ex-girlfriends, you name it, I have more of it than anybody else, wrestling's like the fifth best thing I do and I still do it better than anyone else in that Locker Room and everybody knows it.

Byron takes a second or two to see if Dolph has finishers speaking, then once he's comfortable in thinking he has, he starts to ask his next question

Bryon Saxton: Well one person who doesn't seem to think so is Don West who says there's only man the people pay to see and that's The Amazing Red, your response?



Ziggler chuckles to himself over the notion of Red being the only Show-Stealer around before answering the question posed to him

Dolph Ziggler: Don West? He's the guy with the Brown Bag deals right? Yeah, that doesn't surprise me one bit that he'd think that... But the thing is about Don West is everyone knows he likes a bargain, which well quite if you look at the group of guys he kept around you can tell they're a dime a dozen. Red, Ambrose, The Ryback, Del Rey, Kharma.. talk about a who's who of who care's. And he thinks, he really think's they're Show-Stealers? He thinks his group of misfits can Steal the show? Everyone knows the only thing they're stealing is my TV time, and I'm just so damn sick of listening to Don West go on and on and on about how good his guys really are, just wishing for once, just one time somebody would actually believe him.. You know maybe, just maybe it's time Don just gave up on his dream of being the greatest manager of all time and stuck to what he's actually good at and go back to pedaling the unsold merch of yesteryear for $1 and expect some change. He's knows just like I do, Amazing Red just can't pull this off.



With that said Ziggler glances behind him briefly before turning back to Saxton as he says one last thing

On that note Dolph walks out of the shot leaving Byron standing there by himself as the cameras fade to black forcing the segment to come to an end

Breakdown returns from a commercial break, that ended with a grand reminder of tonight's Main-Event, where D-Generation X square off against The World Heavyweight Champion and The Mr. Money in The Bank in tag team action. Once that graphic disappears, a distinctive theme rings through our ears, and the audience is not at all filled with glee over it. The tune of the dancing superstar elicits boos, and even some simply silent responses. He might have made his "grand" return last week, but he certainly didn't win anyone over with his cowardice ways. They've been watching the show, seeing Fandango challenge Punk to a match...a dance match...and they saw Stephanie basically force Punk to accept, the on coming situation we're about to watch unfold is strange, but then again it does have Fandango involved, so can any us really be surprised by that?  


[JR]
This is certainly going to be quite the "match" we're about to witness, folks.

[King]
FaanDaan...Goo laid the challenge out, and CM Punk...or should we say Stephanie McMahon...accepted it.

[Michael Cole]
The way I see it, CM Punk threw his weight around last week, trying to cling to Fandango's relevance, which far exceeds his...and don't tell me he's Mr. Money in The Bank, because that just makes it worse. Fandango's been the most talked about superstar since he came back at Dead Mans Hand. When's the last time people talked about CM Punk? EXACTLY!

[JR]
I believe his Money in The Bank victory got quite the bit of talk, Cole.

[Michael Cole]
That's so two months ago...

[King]

[Michael Cole]
That's my point, he saw a guy that was clearly a bigger deal already than he'll ever be...so what's he do? Sabotage his return, and rob these loyal fans, that for some reason cheer for CM Punk....of a great match. I'm surprised Roman Reigns didn't have a thing or two to say about CM Punk taking away his big Main-Event opportunity. The fans voted, they wanted to see Fandango and Roman Reigns in a Flaming Tables Match, and they didn't get to see it. Why? Because of CM Punk, I rest my case.

[JR]
Well, moving on...

This is the moment that we find out who is about to grace the stage with Fandango tonight? Who will show of their moves, and have the tolerance to deal with Fandango and all of his antics that come with him? The camera is on the stage, waiting for some action, but...as his theme continues...nothing happens. Scanning the crowd, we see confused fans, faces in the audience that don't really care either way, and some...actually starting to look disappointed. The view of the stage once again changes, and there they are...finally some movement..walking out from the back is...Fandango?  



[JR]
This is, odd...

[Michael Cole]
Why? Because he's walking out looking fab?

[King]
Did...did you just...

[Michael Cole]
What?


[JR]
Something ain't right with you Cole, somethings just not right at all.


[King]
Really JR, can we actually say something is right with him?


Swaying his hips as he walks out onto the stage, Fandango brings about a mass confusion. Not only did Layla not dance her way out, no woman did. Fandango's out on the stage, by himself...but while we can imagine how this must make him feel, to not have any lady by his side, he doesn't show the slightest sign of being upset over it. His arms extend out, and the camera zooms in as he begins to say his name, as only he appears to be able to. Faaaaaan......Daaaaaaaaaan..... moving his arm to his right, ready to say that deep yet soft final part of his name, the crowd reacts with a mild pop as his motions lead to the center of the stage, and Layla struts out from the back with attitude.





Speculating fans all around weren't sure if Layla would be out here with Fandango tonight, but we now see that she in fact will be. With each passing each other's own tests during last week's experiment, Layla's jumped back into the role of Fandango's dancer once more. Wasting no time, Layla steps in towards Fandango, her hand resting on his leg until she lowers herself and her hand down against his leg. Enticing him so much so that when she begins to rise back up, his hand meets her head, petting her for a brief moment. She smiles and his hand leaves her, sweeping across his own upper body.

[King]
Never have I ever been more jealous in my life of someone.

[JR]
I thought last week was surely the end of this early partnership, but it appears I was wrong.

[Michael Cole]
I myself wouldn't exactly know, because I'm a man but there seems to be a quality Fandango possesses that really draws the ladies in.

[King]
We saw the very married Lillian Garcia even fall for his charm at Dead Mans Hand, so can you really believe that Layla herself isn't a little mesmerized herself?

[JR]
He's a very strange individual, from what I know about Layla, she shouldn't want to be mixed up with a guy like this, but I suppose what's in front of us tells us otherwise.


Fandango takes a step forward, while Layla spins like a top behind him, ending her twirling a few feet away. But the distance between them is not going to last long, her hand rests on her hip, and her other arm extends out, showcasing Fandango and giving her hand to him in the same motion. He grabs it, pulling her in close to him, leaving no room for any personal space, none at all. Then grabs her other hand, allowing her to shimmy her way down the length of his body. Slowly she rises back up, only to be reeled out to the other side of him, where they proceed to pose, their hands locked, and their movements in sync.  





It's similar to last week's performance and the similarities increase when the master of dance recoils her back to him, she kicks her leg up, resting it in his hand then uses hers to caress his face just as he had done last week, making her way down his neck, to his chest before he dips her back with his other arm. He's pretty much like "Yeah, you wish you were here" with his eyes, which brings about even more boos because you can just see the look of intent on his face that he's not just posing with a beautiful lady, he's rubbing that fact in.  





Raising her back up, they separate, but the distance between them is not great, nor does it last long. They soon return to holding hands, walking down the ramp, and Fandango even raises their held hands up to his face so that he may kiss hers. Kicking up their entrance, literally, he throws his leg up immediately after, and then continues down the ramp gracefully.



[King]
A guy like that, with the gal like Layla on his arm, it's no wonder this crowd is booing.

[JR]
I wouldn't say that's why, King. He is walking, or whatever you call what he's doing into a Dance Contest, not a wrestling match. The fans don't want to see CM Punk dance, they want to see him wrestle.


[Michael Cole]
And they'll get to later on when CM Punk takes part in The Main-Event with Dean Ambrose against Triple H & Shawn Michaels. I don't see how Fandango deserves to be booed because he wanted to show CM Punk a lesson in respect. He blatantly disrespected Fandango last week, ruining his Main-Event return, so Fandango wants revenge.

[JR]
He wants revenge in a dance contest? How in the blue hell does that make sense?

[Michael Cole]
I can't expect someone like you to understand, but King and I, we get it.

[King]
Well, not really, Cole...he lost me a bit there too.


They bypass some booing fans, but they're in their own little world. Well, Fandango clearly is and Layla's along for the ride, why we still do not know...but last weeks seems to have been the start of a strange relationship. It'd be too simple to just continue their walk to the ring, and as we're learning when it comes to Fandango, nothing is simple. To add a bit of flair to this already showy entrance, Fandango whirls Layla forward like a dancing tornado, round and round she goes, but she where stops? Nobody knows.  





Once, twice, three times, four, Layla spins before lowering down to the ground, and Fandango gets a gander at his "lady" admiring her moves, and following closely behind her. Rising back up in a sensual like way, Layla's movements are right on time as Fandango's there by her side, immediately taking a hold of her hand so that they may continue to the ring together.  


[King]
I can't believe we're going to see CM Punk dance in a few minutes, have we ever seen him dance? Does he even know how?

[JR]
How in the hell are we supposed to know that, it's our job to call wrestling, this isn't some dancing competition.

[Michael Cole]
If CM Punk's truly the best in the world, then he'll be able to put his money where his mouth is.


As they reach the ring, their performance has far from reached it's end, Fandango sends his "lay...day" spinning  until she stops, at the edge of the ring then rolls into it under the bottom rope, shifting the focus back to the strange young man that is Fandango. He had climbed onto the apron as she sat up onto her knees, and he then throws his arm over the ring post, showing off his impressive physique.   




Only giving the audience a brief look, he kicks his legs up, jumping over the top rope, softly stepping to Layla as she awaits him. The fur on his boots shakes as he walks, positioning himself dead center in the ring, right behind Layla and right behind the more than life sized silhouette of himself. His arms extend out, readying Layla for their big finish. Not skipping a beat, they prove just how in sync they actually when Layla shifts into a split as Fandango mirrors the exact pose of the hanging profile of himself. It lights up suddenly, giving us all quite the over the top visual, that somehow while a bit much, it would feel odd if we didn't have such an overdone, choreographed display before us because of who it is. 


[King]
Look at that split! Who knew Layla was so flexible!

[JR]
Settle down there, King.

[King]
What? I'm just admiring her fantastic form.

[Michael Cole]
Even I don't buy that, King.

[JR]
I still wanna know why Laylas' gotten mixed up with this guy, she knows how embarrassed he made Lillian two weeks ago, that could just as easily happen to her.

[King]
If it was going to happen, surely it'd have happened last week? Layla even slipped up during their first entrance, and here she is tonight, accompanying him still.

[Michael Cole]
She was a dancer for The Miami Heat, and had a few notable appearances with some popular names in the industry so I think Fandango's found the lady he's been looking for all along.


[King]
Experience, beauty, what more could you look for? Now if you'll excuse me, I've been assigned the host of this dance contest, maybe Layla will dance with me!


King gets up from his position at the announce table, making his way to the ring where Fandango has helped Layla to her feet is now softly combing through her hair with his fingers. She doesn't appear to be creeped out by this, but for those in attendance, practically everything he does has a creepy quality to it. Entering the ring, armed with a microphone, King waves at Layla who waves back, and not to be outdone, Fandango turns to King, throwing his hand up, smiling, widely, openly, and yes of course, strangely. He waves at King, immediately removing that warm feeling he got from Layla waving at him, and then lowers his head. He might be a "fan" of Fandango, but he's not built up the tolerance to see the good in all of his behavior.  




[King]
Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a dance contest! Faaaan...Dan..Go and CM Punk are going to dance for you the judges. Once both performances have finished, you're going to decide who wins! But first, before any dancing can take place, we need both participants out here, so CM Punk...please join us out here.



An unusual sounds rings through Fandango's ears... Cheers! The fans jump to their feet and cheer for the Best in the World! CM Punk walks out onto the stage and the noise from the crowd reach almost deafening levels but it appears Punk hasn't opted from the glitz and glamour like his opponent Fandango, in fact Punk is pretty much Punk. A hooded sweatshirt, a pair of shorts and traded in the idea of dancing shoes for his wrestling boots. Fandango takes one look at CM Punk and turns his nose up at him, as far as Fandango can see it, CM Punk is tarnishing this grand occasion by dressing in such attire, he and Layla exchange a few vulgar comments towards CM Punk, who stares down at the ring, shaking his head at the whole idea of a dance contest inside a squared circle, his place of business.

[Michael Cole]
Look at that! How does he expect to dance wearing that? This isn't a wrestling match Punk!

[JR]
I'm pretty sure he's aware of that fact, Cole. Given that expression on his face.

[Michael Cole]
This is a joke, an insult to these people and to Fandango. CM Punk accepted this challenge, he knew full well what he was getting himself in for, I understand he knows that he is going to be embarrassed by Fandango here tonight but he could've at least made the effort of dressing in appropriate attire! He is completely taking away from the atmosphere.

[JR]
Need I remind you that CM Punk did not accept this challenge, Stephanie McMahon accepted on his behalf and forced him into appearing by threatening to strip him of the Money in the Bank briefcase...

[Michael Cole]
Good! She should strip him of the briefcase anyway, he is tarnishing it and it should go to somebody more deserving and somebody a little more respectful.

[JR]
Boy, for your sake I hope that Punk doesn't find out about the things you are saying.

[Michael Cole]
Yeah because I wouldn't put it past someone like him to beat up a commentator!

CM Punk shakes his head, as he starts walking down the ramp his head lowers out of pure shame and embarrassment, needless to say Punk is 100% against the idea and is not exactly in his comfort zone right now. On the other side of things you have Fandango, you is loving every second of Punk's misery... Some might say loving it a little too much as his hips begin to sway back and forth, he begins massaging his body with his hand as Layla stands proudly by his side. Punk looks up and realises what is going on inside the ring, shame, embarrassment and now a little sick, Punk raises his arm gesturing to Fandango and can be heard asking the fans by his side “The hell is this?” Normally a showman, Punk's walk down to the ring has been very mute and tame, no catchphrases, no in your face attitude, just a man who looks and feels a little out of place.

[Michael Cole]
He's stalling! Get in the ring already, Punk!

[JR]
After seeing what Fandango is doing, who would be in a hurry to get inside the ring?

[Michael Cole]
I for one would.

[JR]
I bet you would.

Punk climbs onto the apron, he stares down his opponent in this dance contest with pure hatred in his eye. Punk starts trying to get himself hyped up, he starts rocking back and forth to the beat of his theme music, he turns around and starts motioning to the crowd to make a little noise and they happily accept, with chants of “CM Punk, CM Punk!” raining down on an unimpressed Fandango. Punk jumps up to the top rope, the fans go the chant along with his infamous phrase but to their surprise CM Punk doesn't shout “Best in the World”, instead he can be heard shouting “THIS IS STUPID!” at the top of his lungs which draws some laughs and applause from the capacity crowd. Getting the crowd hyped p may have worked against Punk, as Fandango just girates to the beat of the chants, Punk drops down into the ring with a very disturbed look on his face. Jerry Lawler stands in between them, the chants die down, and with that thankfully so does Fandango's disturbing movements.

[King]
We are all familiar with how this works, both contestants will take turns and dance for a minute, after which you, the XWL Universe will decide the winner! Seeming as it was Fandango who issued tonight's challenge, I see it as only fair that he show us just what he's got and go first.

King steps back into the corner ad motions for Fandango to strut his stuff but to his surprise, Fandango isn't too eager to get his groove on for once. Shaking his head defiantly, he demands Jerry Lawler hand him the microphone, and not wanting to anger him, he complies.



[Fandango]
I believe the phrase, save the best....for last...could not be any more approp...riate here, Jarred...

Did he really just call Jerry "The King" Lawler, Jarred? Yes he did, and the crowd lets him have it, because that's just plain old disrespectful.




[Fandango]
After the events...of last week, these people...deserve a grand finale, not a...grand...disast..er.. So no, Mr. Lawyer....I will NOT...go first.

The booing never seems to end, and Fandango is certainly not helping that cause by giving this audience even more and more fuel to the fire against him.  



[Fandango]
A star such as....Faaaaaan....Daaaaaan......Gooooooo...always, goes last...


King had received the microphone back, just in time for Punk to snatch the microphone out of Jerry's hand, he doesn't look the slightest bit amused and feels as though Fandango is purposely wasting his time.



[[CM Punk]]
You're kidding me right? You've got me out here in this ridiculous situation, in a stupid “Dance contest” which is about as useful in a wrestling ring as tits on a nun... And now you're telling me that you don't want to get this over with because you have an over inflated ego. I can see it in your eyes, you're enjoying every second of this because you think you've got me out of my comfort zone, you think that you've got me in a situation where I don't quite “Fit in”. I hate to break it to you, 'Dango but I have never fitted in, I wasn't in your stupid cliques, I wasn't the popular kid, so this to me is a walk in the park, I am used to this, I thrive in this situation because it is people like you that put me in this situation that think I can't succeed, that think that they are better than me and there is nothing more that I love than the look on their face when the realisation sets in that they were wrong.



[[CM Punk]]
Just like the people that told me that I would never amount to anything, just like the people that laughed in my face when I told them I was going to be a professional Wrestler and that I was going to be the biggest thing that this industry has ever seen. Those people work in their crappy jobs, living their boring and mundane lives while I travel the the globe doing what I love, I became I wrestler, I achieved my dream, I am the biggest thing that this industry has ever seen, I am CM Punk! And I am the Best in the World! You want to challenge me to something as ridiculous as this? Then so be it, it will just be that little bit more heartbreaking for you when I beat you at your own game, when I turn your little plan on its head and use it against you.



[[CM Punk]]
But right now I find this numbers game a little unfair, as I recall I have the right to name my own dance partner, so if you don't mind...

Suddenly Layla is snatched from Fandango's side, Punk pulls her in by her arm and twirls her several times before stopping her dead in the centre of the ring, nose to nose, staring deeply into one anothers eyes, an almost intimate moment. He turns his head to face Fandango and throws him a cheeky wink and Fandango is beside himself, he approaches Punk but Jerry Lawler intervenes, informing Fandango that what Punk is doing is perfectly within the rules, then to add a little more salt into the wound, Punk raises Layla's leg and rests it on his hip, reminiscent of Fandango earlier on the stage.



First he steals his woman and now he steals his entrance song to dance to? Safe to say this does not sit well in Fandango's camp, making matter worse the fans are singing along to his theme! The music is a-playin', the fans are a-chantin' but there is no dancin'. CM Punk and Layla instead continue to stare at one another, Layla not too sure what to do as Fandango looks on, painted green with absolute envy. Before she knows it CM Punk has dipped her down, arching her backwards, she continues to look up at him and before she has a chance to stop him the Best in the World steals a kiss from the British Beauty.

[Michael Cole]
He can't do that!

[JR]
He just did...

[Michael Cole]
That woman is spoken for! She is not the type of person to be caught dead with the likes of CM Punk! Who does he think she is? Some common woman that you would find in the back alleys behind some crap bar that plays that awful racket that Punk likes to refer as music?

[JR]
While it may be true that she is spoken for, she doesn't seem to be doing much to stop him.

[Michael Cole]
He is over-powering her, forcing himself upon her. Somebody call the police!

[JR]
Dear lawd...

Punk raises her back up and releases his lip lock, he twirls her and releases, causing Layla to spin right into the ropes, she looks up and notices Punk's intentions have changed dramatically. Roundhouse Kick! CM Punk delivers a swift and violent kick to Fandango's skull, connecting right behind the ear and knocking him for a loop.

[Michael Cole]
What a cheap shot! Attacking an unsuspecting man, he should be arrested!

[JR]
You should always expect something like this from CM Punk, he always has an ace up his sleeve and he did warn Fandango that he would turn his idea against him. He stole his music, stole a kiss from his woman and knocked his head out of the park. I'd say that's turning a plan against him.

[Michael Cole]
He's nothing more than a criminal!

Punk tries to press the attack but Fandango has enough sense left in his brain to know to get out of dodge as fast as his little dancing legs will allow. He rolls under the bottom rope and scrambles half way up the ramp, where he lies with his hands clutching the back of his head after suffering that devastating kick. Layla quickly follows suit and joins him on the ramp, she looks at the back of his head with a concerned look, rubbing it softly but it seems there is tension between the two after what Fandango just witnessed first hand. CM Punk retrieves a microphone from Jerry Lawler, who is trying his best to hold back the laughter. Trying. Not succeeding. Punk walks over to the ropes and leans over them.

[[CM Punk]]
Hey, 'Dango. Seeming as you have shown me such hospitality here tonight, you invite me out here on this grand occasion and you are nice enough to share this moment with me. So allow me to repay you that favour and sing you a little song, it's a personal favourite of mine and given the situation at hand it is rather fitting.

Punk coughs and clears his throat

[[CM Punk]]
How lucky can one guy be?
I kissed her, Punk points at Layla and she kissed me
Like a fella once said,
Ain't that a kick in the head!

CM Punk drops the microphone



The fans cheer and applaud, the “Dance” contest didn't turn out as badly as they had first feared. They got a taste of Punk's dancing skills, Layla just got a taste of Punk and Fandango got a taste of Punk's boot. Fandango stomps his feet on the stage out of frustration, like a little child throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't get his own way, his plan well and truly blew up in his face and things didn't quite turn out the way he might have expected them to. CM Punk climbs up onto the top rope, throws his arms up in the air and this time delivers his famous “BEST IN THE WORLD!” catchphrase. The dancing duo remain on the stage looking up at CM Punk, who turns his attention towards the stage and makes a phone gesture to Layla and can be heard saying “Call me!” throwing her a wink much to the annoyance of Fandango, who doesn't know who to direct his glare at, CM Punk or the woman at his side Layla. CM Punk blows her a kiss as XWL begins to fade out into a commercial break.

Breakdown returns from a commercial break. The camera does a sweep of the arena and we can see thousands of excited fans in attendance tonight. We also see that the next match is about to begin. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels are both in the ring having made there entrances during the commercial break.

Welcome back to Breakdown ladies and gentlemen. This sure to be exciting match between old friends and rivals is about to begin, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, here we go!!!

DING DING DING!!!

The bell rings and Daniels tells the ref to hold Styles back, it is apparent Daniels wishes to remove his jacket that he wore for his entrance. Daniels turns his back to AJ as he commences removing his jacket. He slides it off both arms almost with ease and tosses it to the outside. As soon as Daniels turns around he is met with a Enzuigiri from out of nowhere!!!

(Jim Ross)
BY GAWD KING, WHAT AN ENZUIGIRI FROM AJ STYLES!

(Jerry Lawler)
Ohhhhh man, Daniels did not expect that, he's out of it.

Daniels is clearly dazed and confused standing in place practically unconscious in the middle of the ring. AJ quickly capitalizes by putting Daniels between his legs, he lifts him and puts him in position for the Styles Clash by placing his legs in front of Daniels arms, BAM!!! AJ connects with the Styles Clash in the middle of the ring sending the crowd into a frenzy.

(Jim Ross)
He hit it King! AJ just hit Daniels with the Styles Clash! He rolls Daniels over, here's the cover!

Neither can I King, AJ Styles just put Daniels away in under a minute, I mean who saw that coming.

As the commentators and crowd chatter amongst themselves in shock over what just occurred, it appears as though a ringside tech has handed AJ Styles a mic. He stands in the middle of the ring catching his breath while waiting for his theme to die down before speaking.

(AJ Styles)
I'm gonna be honest with ya Jericho, I was wrong.

(Jim Ross)
What's he talking about King?

(Jerry Lawler)
No idea, what does he mean wrong?

The crowd also wonders what AJ is talking about.

(AJ Styles)
I expected you to come out here tonight and decline my challenge for a match at Supremacy. I figured you'd come out here, strut down to the ring showcasing your huge ego and your arrogance, insult the fans intelligence, and make a whole bunch of excuses to not face me one on one, boy was I wrong. You didn't decline my challenge Chris, HELL YOU DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP TONIGHT!!!

(Jim Ross)
He's got a point King, we haven't seen Chris Jericho all night and the show is winding down.

(Jerry Lawler)
Maybe Jericho missed his flight or something.

(AJ Styles)
Hell I don't know if your in the back hiding somewhere, or if you're sitting at home and didn't even bother to catch a flight here tonight, either way I don't care, the bottom line is you didn't answer my challenge. Let me ask ya something Chris, do I frighten you that much? Are you so intimidated by me that you won't even step foot in the same building as me? Pathetic Chris, absolutely pathetic. You know last week I was a second away from dropping you with the Styles Clash, it's eating you alive that I was right there prepared to put you down for the count and show the world that your heart just isn't in this business anymore. You know AJ Styles is better then you Chris. You know AJ Styles is more beloved by these fans then you ever will be, and they know AJ Styles loves them right back.

The crowd erupts with massive "AJ Styles" chants.

But most importantly Chris, the one FACT that you fear the most, is the FACT that AJ Styles can BEAT you in the middle of this ring on any given night! I hope you're watching the show tonight, I hope you were a witness to what your future holds. Did you see what I just did to Daniels? That's you at Supremacy if you man up and accept my challenge. You will be down on the mat staring up at the big white lights while the ref counts 1! 2! 3!

Some bold words from AJ right there King, but I think AJ can beat Chris Jericho and I believe the world wants to see it dammit!

(Jerry Lawler)
I agree JR, Jericho is a legend no doubt but I believe AJ could pull it off. I wanna see it just as much as all these fans do.

AJ takes a deep breath before looking at the camera with a super serious look on his face.

(AJ Styles)
I want you one on one in the middle of this ring at Supremacy Chris Jericho! I'm not playing games anymore Chris, come hell or highwater I'm gonna get that match. I issued a challenge to you for a match at Supremacy and I said I wanted an answer tonight. You have yet to come out here and respond Chris, it's pretty apparent to everyone here tonight including myself that you're ducking me. Fair enough Chris, fair enough. I understand the fear that resides within you. I understand that the truth hurts Chris so I'm going to cut you a break for standing me up here tonight. However, I'm giving you an ultimatum Chris, you come out here next week live on Breakdown and accept my challenge like a man, we'll shake on it and make it official for Supremacy, Chris Jericho vs AJ Styles!


(Jim Ross)
I wanna see it, c'mon Chris be a man and accept the damn challenge.

(Jerry Lawler)
I wanna see this match almost as much as I wanna see some puppies right about now, ehhh maybe not that much.

(AJ Styles)
Or..... YOU DON'T MAKE IT TO SUPREMACY AND I HUNT YOU DOWN AND BEAT YOUR ASS CHRIS!!! and by the time I'm done with you Chris, you'll never...

The crowd unleashes a light cheer in anticipation of where this is going.

AJ clears his throat to attempt to get the pitch and sound in his voice just right.

(AJ Styles)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVEEEERRRRR BE THE SAME AGAIN!!!!!




The crowd roar in approval of AJ ripping off Jericho's trademark catchphrase as AJ throws the mic down and his theme begins to play. AJ exits the ring and slaps fans hands all the way up the ramp as the camera then heads back to the announce table for some quick thoughts from JR and King.

(Jim Ross)
AJ Styles making a statement here tonight, first by beating Daniels in under a minute, he then follows it up by giving Chris Jericho an ultimatum to accept his challenge for a match at Supremacy to determine just who exactly is the "Best In The World".

(Jerry Lawler)
AJ's only been here a couple of weeks and he's already making a huge impact here in XWL. I hope with every fiber of my being that we get to see AJ Styles go one on one with Chris Jericho at Supremacy. I guess we'll have to wait till next week to see what happens JR.

(Jim Ross)

I'm sorry, Did I not make it clear enough to you and everybody else last week? My Client's contract is a contract than benefits him in every way..He doesn't have to show up every week, heck if he didn't want to show up until Final Stand...he doesn't have to.  My Client BROCK LESNAR can show up whenever he pleases... and I don't know when that will be. It could later tonight, He could walk down to that ring and take out D-Generation X, he could take out Dean Ambrose, or maybe He'll wait till Supremacy and make an impact to be remembered. When Breakdown returns from a commercial break we’re thrust straight into the thick of the action…

Cole takes Storm by the arm and whips him across the ring where Storm bounces off the ropes and comes…. storming back in Cole’s direction and catches his opponent off guard with a clothesline. Cole quickly scrambles to his feet where he sees the next clothesline coming and takes Storm down to the mat with an arm drag. Storm doesn’t stay down for long and once he’s up, Cole doubles him over with a knee that he drive’s deep into Storm’s gut then he sets him up for a suplex but Storm spins out of his grasp and rocks Cole with a hard punch to the face.

Storm tries to strike when the momentum is on his side with a superkick but he misses it after Cole ducks under the boot. Storm spins on his heels and catches Cole’s boots mere inches from his face after the Panama City Playboy attempted a superkick of his own! Storm tosses the boot to the side, causing Cole to do a 360 degree spin in the process and when the two men are face to face again, Storm kicks Cole in the gut, then plants his skull into the mat with a vicious DDT! This could be it, and Storm takes his chances with a pin:

Kick out! Storm peels Cole off the mat and gets caught with a jawbreaker for his efforts! While Storm is staggered, Cole lifts him onto his shoulders with a fireman’s carry, transitions into a neckbreaker by dropping Storm onto the back of his knee! Nearly knocked out cold, Storm just sits there on the mat while Cole climbs up onto the second turnbuckle. He leaps off, and nails the Canadian destroyer, a highly impressive maneuver that gets the people off their feet in awe.

Storm wisely rolls out of the ring before he can get pinned, and a fatigued Cole looks on in shock and horror as he watched what could have been a sure-fire victory slip right through his fingertips. With the crowd goading him on, Cole rolls out of the ring to retrieve his opponent in the hopes that he’d still be hurt enough from his devastating finishing maneuver to secure the three-count and well-deserved victory.

It would seem as though Storm exhausted what energy he had left in the tank into escaping from the clutches of defeat as he has remained right where he fell out, which is where Cole ends up finding him. Getting the bigger man into the ring is no easy task for Cole, but he’s come too far at this point to be deterred and after a great struggle, he forces the cowboy under the bottom rope and at that point he takes a moment to catch his breath.

Cole places a knee on the apron, the uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet just around the time The Ref’s count hits five.






















Darkness.

But that only last for a few seconds as the fans hold up their cellphones to illuminate the area as best they can but they can’t shine a light on the reasoning one of The Wyatts would show up at this present moment in time.

Later on another light can be seen, that which is emitted from a lantern and the face of Luke Harper is barely visible in the warm, yet weak glow of the lantern’s light. And in what’s visible of this deranged man’s face, his cold, unfeeling expression gives nothing away.

Is he out here for James Storm, to feed while his prey is at his most vulnerable? Or perhaps something about Adam Cole’s demeanor has drawn him out of his shadows? Maybe he just happened to be in the neighborhood.

With the arena still shrouded in darkness, Harper keeps his soulless eyes locked in the direction of the ring even though nothing inside of it can be seen. It’s entirely possible that Harper isn’t concerned about what he’s seeing now, but what he’s seeing in his head; his future plans of destruction.

Satisfied, Harper turns to face his lantern, takes a deep breath, and blows out the flame. After several seconds, the arena lights turn back on to reveal that Cole has been frozen to his spot on the apron, his eyes open wide and he and Storm must be as confused about Harper’s unannounced and unwelcome appearance as the thousands of people in attendance are.

However, Storm looks to be more focused on the match, on his feet now while The Ref’s picks up where he left out by barking out six. The continuation of the count snaps Cole back into it, and he turns and eats a boot right to the face after Storm nails him with a superkick! Cole takes a tumble onto the thin-padding outside of the ring while Strom drops to the mat with a hand on his neck showing that he’s still hurting from that piledrive.

There’s a mixed reception for Storm who forces The Ref to raise his arm in victory, clearly not too fussed about the way in which he one this match though Harper’s presence should be off concern for both him and for Cole, because chances are that a man like that won’t care who the victim is, as long as someone’s blood stains the ring mat.

While Storm makes his way up the ramp triumphantly, The Ref exits the ring to check on Cole who is at least conscious, though his jaw may be a little sore in the days to come. The screen now fades to black as Breakdown heads to the next segment.

As Breakdown returns from a commercial break, Dolph Ziggler is stood by with his back turned to the camera following his match as Josh Matthews rushes up to him trying to get a few words with him on how he felt his match went

Josh Matthews: Excuse me, Dolph, if we could get get a quick word on your match tonight.

As Josh interjects himself Ziggler turns around to the camera, clearly delighted with how the match went as he lets the world know how he feels



Dolph Ziggler: Did you see that? Did you see that! EVERY... SINGLE... TIME! I go out there and I steal the show, how good am I, Josh? Just how good am I? You know what, don't answer that, I already know.

Dolph quickly swipes his hand through his hair before flicking his hand forward as he continues to speak to Josh about his match

Dolph Ziggler: It's just like a said earlier, I told you I was going to do one thing and steal the show and that's just what I did! Zack did everything he could and it just wasn't enough, just like last when when everybody said Adam Cole will push me to the limit, I went out there and I did what I do better than anybody else and I got the job done yet again.

As Ziggler finishes speaking he turns to Josh allowing him to ask the Showoff a question to further the interview

Josh Matthews: You do seem to be on quite the role as of late, what do you think is behind your recent turn in fortunate?



Dolph Ziggler: You know Josh, it's like I said at the start of the year, I'm ready more than I've ever been to go out there and prove myself every single night, and I'm doing just that and I know that whenever I step into the ring I can out perform anyone they put me in there against and I've been doing just that week in week out and tonight was no exception, but I know there's still a long way to go to get back to where I used to be, but I know that you could put me up against anyone you want, whether it's Zack Ryder like it was tonight or if it's Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk or any one else for that matter and I'll do the exact same thing and they won't be able to stop me. I just need Stephanie McMahon to look up and see that, and as soon as she does she'll know just like everybody else knows that there's no one, nobody more deserving at a shot at the gold than I am...

As Dolph is mid sentence he looks over as Don West and The Amazing Red make their way into the camera shot interrupting Dolph's interview

Dolph Ziggler: What? What do you two want?

Red goes to respond to Dolph’s question, but is stopped by his official promoter who is almost saying that he shouldn’t waste words with this poser. However, West is never short on words, and after easing Josh out of the way, he begins to speak.

Don West: Listen, Dolph, I know you like to think you’re the best thing that happened to wrestling in a long, long time, and I’ll be the first to admit  you’re almost as good as you say you are, but how on earth can you stand there with a straight face and call this man right here, Amazing Red, a nobody? Because if there’s anybody who deserves a chance to have gold around their waist, especially more than you, it is, in fact, Amazing Red.

Dolph appears to find some humor in what West said and he’s about to respond but it appears that West still has some things to get off his chest.

Don West: Just a second there, pal. And if you’re so sick of telling everyone how you like to steal the show, then just imagine how I feel coming out week after week and telling the world that the reason people buy tickets to the show in the first place is to see Amazing freakin’ Red take to the skies and defy gravity like no other man has done before, is doing now or will do in the future!

Dolph Ziggler: Is that what you think? Do you honestly think that's what they pay to see? No, they don't pay to see him, and they certainly don't pay to listen toy uogo on and on and on about the West Side Army. Let's be honest here, you're a joke and everybody knows it. For all your talk, how many people actually listen to you? How many people actually believe you when you spout out every adjective in the world about your boy? They.. we can all see through it. You call him Amazing? He's nothing. Compared to me or anyone else for that matter. Nothing.

Don West: All right, it looks like words aren’t going to be enough to convince you, but luckily Red is a man of action. So what’s he’s going to do is head out to that ring and cream Cesaro in a match that is bound to have people talking for days until Red finds a way to do the impossible and top it next week! I want you to find a way to watch that match and make sure you take some notes about what stealing the show really looks like.

With that said West pats Red on the chest prompting him to say something

As Red and West stare Dolph done they slowly back away to get ready their their match later tonight as the Ziggler stands there while the cameras fade out to black

Breakdown cuts to ringside where the commentating trio quickly snap back into action after taking a well-earned break during the commercials.

Welcome back to Breakdown ladies and gentlemen.  It's been a great night so far and the action is about to kick it up a notch as are about to witness a match-up between two of the brightest up-and-coming XWL Superstars in Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas.

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Oh I've been looking forward to this one all week!  At Dead Mans Hand, those two put their names on the XWL radar with a memorable segment which didn't end to well for Neville after he was attacked from behind with a sneaky spear from Bo Dallas.  You have to imagine that Neville is out for redemption here tonight and to put Bo in his place.



[Jim Ross]
Whenever you get two young, hungry guys and put them in the ring together, it's always entertaining.  And that's exactly what Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas are.  They may not be the best of friends or see eye to eye at all, but there's no doubt in my mind that someday the two of them will be headlining Final Stands.  They both have the star quality needed to make it in this business and that's why this little rivalry of theirs is so interesting.  They've barely been around for 3 weeks yet they've already got this Universe on the edge of their seats wondering what's gonna happen next.  That connection has been made and now it's their job to keep that connection open.

[Michael Cole]
I'm certainly a "Boliever" but I have yet to see what's so special about Adrian Neville.  I mean, he beat Chris Sabin last week... big deal.  What has Chris Sabin ever done in XWL aside from blow every opportunity given to him?  

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
That's a little harsh Michael... Sabin is one of the unsung heroes in that locker room and something of a workhorse.  A victory over Sabin is no small feat.  For Neville to come back from the brink of obscurity and pick up a victory and make it look effortless shows exactly how good that kid is.  If you want to talk about meaningless victories, let's talk about Bo Dallas defeating Justin Roberts last week...

[Michael Cole]
What about it?  It was a match for the ages!  Bo pulled out one of the most dominant and impressive displays I have ever seen in all my years sat at this announce table!

[Jim Ross]
The less said about that match, the better.  But speaking of our colleague Justin Roberts, he has refused to undertake his announcing duties for this match-up tonight given Bo's involvement, so therefore we now pass you over to the lovely Lilian Garcia who will get this match-up underway...

The camera shifts to the middle of the ring where Lilian is standing by.

As the opening to Adrian Neville's music begins to play there is an excited roar from the live audience as they jump up out of their seats.  Neville bursts out onto the stage clearly all fired up and clearly relishing the chance of getting his hands on his rival here tonight.  He's wearing a tracksuit for his entrance on this occasion.

[Lilian Garcia]
Making his way to the ring from Newcastle, England... weighing in at 194 lb... ADRIAN NEVILLE!

Neville manages to flash a grin showing his appreciation for such a reaction before returning to an intense focus.  There's no posing or stage smoke tonight.  Neville is all business as he makes his way towards the ring.

[Michael Cole]
Here comes Adrian Neville who is clearly focused on the task at hand here tonight, but if you ask me, it's an impossible task...

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Please... Bo Dallas hasn't had a match against a respectable opponent at all!  How can you say something like that?

[Michael Cole]
Because I "Bolieve" King!  Bo Dallas is the next biggest thing... he's a future World Champion in the making!

[Jim Ross]
From what I've seen elsewhere, Bo Dallas certainly has the tools in his arsenal to match up to the ultra-talented Adrian Neville.  Both men will push each other to the limit here tonight.  This one is going to be a privilege to watch.  This is pay-per-view quality stuff right here folks.  Bo Dallas will get his first true test inside an XWL ring and Adrian Neville will have the opportunity to gain some payback for the events which transpired at Dead Mans Hand.

Neville enters the ring and instantly turns his attention to the entrance ramp, focusing a watchful stare at the stage, eagerly anticipating the arrival of his nemesis.  His music dies down and a very loud "Let's go Neville!" chant rises up from the masses punctuated by clapping.



[Michael Cole]
What's with the goofy tracksuit?

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
You're one to talk about things that are goofy...

[Lilian Garcia]
And his opponent...



Instead of Bo Dallas’ regular theme song we hear an instrumental version of “Don’t stop believing” by Journey as the fans look on in confusion as Bo Dallas walks onto the stage.



[Bo Dallas] Just a city Bo! Born and raised in Brooksville, Florida! He took the midnight train to X…W…L. Bolieve in yourself and you will see the light! It goes on and on and on and on.. COME ON EVERYBODY! *Bo sings at the top of his lungs now and tries to rally the fans behind himself.* DON’T STOP… BOLIEVING!!

The fans instantly boo Bo at his attempt to win them over as he sings over their boos.

[Bo Dallas] Hold onto the feeeeeling!!! Streetlight, people, woaaaaaaaah! DON’T STOP! BOLIEVING! WOAAAAAAAH HOLD ONTO THAT FEELING!

Bo stops singing with a smile on his face as the fans boo even louder trying to drown him out. Bo perseveres and keeps the smile on his face.



[Bo Dallas] Uhh, maybe next time guys, right?! Now Adrian, look, friend. I’m going to say this from the bottom of my heart and I mean it, I don’t want to fight you tonight.

The fans boo yet again as Bo interrupts them.



[Bo Dallas] No, No! Hear me out guys, I have good reasoning alright? Okay.. you all like Adrian Neville right?

The fans all cheer.

[Bo Dallas] See, they love you! I can’t do this to my Bolievers, Adrian. I just can’t crush their hopes and dreams by beating you tonight, I don’t want to send them home upset because those mean higher ups in XWL pitted two fan favourites like ourselves against eachother. We shouldn’t be fighting at all, if anything, we should be teaming! We would gel perfectly in the ring as a team, you’ve got the flips and I’ve got.. everything else. We should be fighting the bad guys in the company, not eachother, we’re superheroes to each and every boliever in this arena right now and we can’t give them a bad image. I’m sorry Adrian, it just can’t be you, I.. I’m not going to face you tonight. I don’t want to put that burden on you of being the first XWL superstar to lose to Bo Dallas, I’m doing this for your own good…

Neville turns and beckons for a microphone as Bo grins wildly as the boos rain down upon him.  Neville turns all fired up and begins his verbal onslaught.



[Adrian Neville]
You think I'd be the first XWL Superstar to lose to you Bo?  Why don't you get in this ring right now and test that theory?

The crowd cheers, backing up Neville's proposition.

[Adrian Neville]
The only "burden" I have right now is the frustration I have at not being able to get my hands on you because you're too scared to get into the ring with me!  Did you honestly think that would be the end of it at Dead Mans Hand?  That you could attack me from behind like you did and that would be that?  I'm not some pushover Bo... and I'm not some ring announcer who's not able to fight back.  



[Adrian Neville]
The problem with guys like you Bo, is that you're stuck in your own little fantasy land.  You think you're the best thing ever, with your cheesy video packages, your stupid smile and your ridiculously bad singing.  Do you really believe that these people like you?  Just listen to them Bo!

Neville holds his mic up emphasizing the crowd who begin booing as loudly as possible.



[Adrian Neville]
And before you say it Bo, they're booing you.  They're not saying "Bo".  There's a difference.  It just never sinks into your thick skull does it?  These people hate you.  And you want to know why?  Nobody likes a coward.  Give them a reason to like you Bo, and they will.  And you can start earning their respect by getting in this ring with me right now and facing me man to man!



Neville raises his arms leaving the ball in Bo's court after emphatically delivering his last statement.  The crowd cheer his name for a few seconds before Bo raises his own mic to reply as he climbs the steps.



[Bo Dallas] You know what Adrian? You've twisted my arm. If you wanna fight me so bad then you've got it, partner! Just remember that I warned you, I tried to protect you like the true friend I am but no, you insisted. You let your ego get the better of you, you're not thinking rationally! But a loss to me could be a positive step for you Adrian, because nobody succeeds without failure. I know once you lose you're going to get right back up and continue trucking on because that's what makes you so great! Just think of this as a life lesson, a chance for redemption after this.. this embarrassment for you. Just remember that you asked for this, Mr. XWL.com Superstar of the Week!

Neville nods his head with approval and motions for Bo to bring it on as Bo gets into the ring. An official enters the ring ready to referee the upcoming match. Neville turns his back in the corner and begins to warm up and get out of his tracksuit before Bo shouts "NOW!" and another referee is seen running down the ramp. Bo rolls up the referee as the second referee slides into the ring and counts.

Neville turns around in confusion to see Bo Dallas rolling out of the ring and having his hand raised by the second referee. Neville opens his arms in confusion and can be seen mouthing the words "What the hell?!" as Bo Dallas' theme song plays. Bo does a victory lap of ringside looking as proud as ever as he shouts "I'M 6-0! I'M UNDEFEATED!"



Before Neville can get a chance to get at Bo, Bo continues his victory lap up the ramp as Neville kicks the bottom rope in frustration getting so close to finally getting his hands on Bo. Neville sits on the middle rope holding it open just daring Bo to get back in the ring but Bo has none of it as he thanks his bolievers at the top of the stage before heading through the curtain.
