The official opening video for Breakdown finishes, and we head inside the building, kick starting yet another episode of Breakdown! The pyrotechnics go off at the top of the stage creating an extravagant display of colors lighting up the stage.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 IkDOD

Fans are on their feet cheering, holding up all sorts of signs in support of many superstars, even divas, and everyone is wondering what this show will have in store for them. We're just two weeks away from Uprising, and things are sure to heat up.

[JR]
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to-

[King]
What a way to kick off the show, it's The General Manager Stephanie McMahon!

With the introduction from the commentary team put on hold, Stephanie's shown stepping out from the back, armed with a microphone and a purpose, but what is it?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Mh2xbFw

She stops at the top of the stage, smiling as she looks out into the crowd, allowing them to settle down and her music to stop before speaking.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 YzZwR0k

[Stephanie McMahon]
Welcome everybody to a very special edition of Breakdown! Each week we leave you in awe, we leave you wanting more and more, and tonight, that's exactly what you'll get! As General Manager, but most importantly...a McMahon. I make it my mission to give you what you want, but I say, what's better? Giving you what you want, or giving you what YOU want?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 OSLTPTr

[Stephanie McMahon]
What I mean by that is, it's easy for me to think I know everything that you'd like to see, but I can admit maybe just maybe I'm sometimes off the mark. So I say let's do something to change that, let's change things for the better, let's get you involved more than you've ever been involved before. You the fans actively express yourselves every single night, be it a deafening chant, a creative sign, or your own unique apparel. So let's give you something else to be active about. Something that will take the power out of my hands, and into yours. Where you can decide who faces who, what the kind of match is, or even, if a title is on the line!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 J1c2xcr

[Stephanie McMahon]
That is what exactly is going to happen tonight. But more on that in just a little bit, first things first, last week I revealed that two stand out stars in John Cena and Eric Young would take part in two number one contenders matches, one for the right to face Antonio Cesaro for The United States Championship at Final Stand, and one for the right to face Shawn Michaels for The Intercontiental Championship. But there's one matter left to work out, who do they compete against? Who deserves the same opportunity that they were given themselves? Well without further ado I am happy to announce that while I have been very impressed by all of the superstar who have fought to standout above the rest, I only have two spots to fill, and I've found the two perfect stars that will.

[King]
Oh this is so excting, who are they?!

[Michael Cole]
Be quiet King, she's getting to it!

[Stephanie McMahon]
Competing against Eric Young in the Intercontienntal Championship number one contender match, is a man that has fought at nothing to make an earth shattering statement, at the expense of others. He is a former World Heavyweight Champion, but more importantly...a brutal foe! Give it up for....The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Y2Q02Ov

[Stephanie McMahon]
While Sheamus may have his hands full with Rey Mysterio at the moment, I have no doubt that he'll still be a fitting opponent for Mr. Young. So that just leaves one last spot...who gets it? Who impressed? Who had my attention from the get go? Who will face John Cena at Uprising in a match that everyone wants to be apart of? Well that's none other than a brash, somewhat arrogant you could say, yet impactful young gun that will more than give John Cena a run for his money....Prince Devitt!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Rxbos4c

[Stephanie McMahon]
He too will be pulling double duty as they say at Uprising, and for his sake let's hope he doesn't fall to too many Stunners from Stone Cole Steve Austin. But nothing's worth having if you're not willing to truly fight for it! That's exactly what Uprising will be, a fight, a fight to declare an undeniable number one contender for each of those titles currently in hands of Shawn Michaels and Antonio Cesaro.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 KaStPjT

[Stephanie McMahon]
But that's in two weeks,  Sheamus and Prince Devitt have time to worry about competing in two matches in one night another day. Because tonight they've got something else to worry about, fidning a way to coexist in tonight's Main-Event Tag-Team match! Their opponents? None other than each of their opponents at Uprising, John Cena and Eric Young! Oh, and there's one more thing, remember how I said tonight marks the start of a brand new XWL? An XWL that actively looks to the fans for their say in what happens? Well tonight's Main-Event is special for another reason, because that is the match you will have control over.

The fans begin to cheer, excited about the opportunity to have their say in the matter, and Stephanie pauses, allowing them to get it out of their systems.

[Stephanie McMahon]
Will it be a Falls Count Anywhere Match? Is the only way to win by putting someone through a table? Or, will these four men be surrounded by a Steel Cage? The choice is up to you, and I know that with your help, we'll have a Main-Event that will excite us all. Thank you very much for your time, please enjoy tonight's show, scream as loud as you can, make your voices heard, and have a great night.

[JR]
What an exciting announcement by Stephanie McMahon, not only the other half of each number one contender match at Uprising, but all four of these men will compete in tonight's Main-Event Tag-Team Match!

[Michael Cole]
Let's not forget that it's up to the fans to decide what kind of match it'll be!

[King]
I'm going to go on XWL.com right now and vote! I sure hope it's a Steel Cage match, those are my favorite!

[Michael Cole]
Are you nuts? Sheamus put Rey Mysterio through a table last week, I wanna see how he does in an actual table match!

[JR]
I'd say a Falls Count Anywhere Match is the way to go! But it's up not just up to us, it's up to the fans! Stick around folks, we'll be back in just a moment, take this time to go vote now!

As the show opening finishes, we are taken backstage where Warrior is staring into he camera with a crazy stare. When he starts to speak, he starts in a low, gritty voice.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 1409414-4

Ultimate Warrior:*Snarls* Do you smell that. *Breaths In* Can you taste that in the air? Feel the pressure as my friends that is the sign of combat. It is the sign of two immortals as they prepare to go into the place where no mortal soul should enter. Where blood is shed and pride is beaten out of a man; That XWL ring.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Ultimate-warrior-mullet_fe

Ultimate Warrior: Tonight, as I spoke to the gods above who fed to me the power of the warrior, they warned me of a viper. Of a man who strikes fast and would deliver a poison that leaves men paralyzed on the mat as he claims his victory.

After being silent for what feels like forever, Warrior begins to yell.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Ultimate%20Warrior%20d

Ultimate Warrior: Well, I am no man! I fear no Viper! You can dig your fangs into my flesh, tear apart my tendons, spit your poison into my veins, but the power of the Warrior will still prevail against you silly little garden worm! I fear you not Viper! I fear no one and nothing! I only feel the injection from the gods above as I am fed the power of the Warrior! I make the ground quake with every step! I jump of the tallest building in the world just for a thrill! And tonight, I skin a Viper for something to do!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 The-ultimate-warrior-620x300

Ultimate Warrior: Randy Orton! Tonight, you will feel the power from the heavens above, just as Jericho did last week! You will fall as me and all my Warrior's trample you with the force of the Elephant's in Africa! And when you try to sink your little fangs into me, I will laugh as I drink your poison like water, and you will realise the power of the Warrior at last!

Warrior stops and seems to calm down a bit. But, before the camera fades, he starts to speak in a tone much like when he started.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Ultimate-warrior-mullet_fe

Ultimate Warrior: Tonight, the XWL will realise that I am...... the chosen one *Snarls*

*We head backstage where Brad Maddox is shown sitting along in the catering unit with a folder in front of him as he talks to the camera.*

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 SoEoYL5

[Brad Maddox] Alright.. I'm sure you all saw my interview last week where I wound up face to face with Mark Henry. I'm not going to lie, standing toe to toe with a guy his size can be quite intimidating. So this week I have a plan, a genius plan. Instead of calling out Mark Henry or talking trash about him, what I'm going to do is a series of interviews with XWL's elite. I'm going to pick their brains, I want to see what they would do if they were facing Mark Henry, what tactics they would use to bring down the World's Strongest Man and if everything all works out then by the end of the night I will have the ultimate plan. I want to walk into Uprising with a clear head knowing that I have Mark Henry figured out, I know, I know. You're probably thinking "Why don't you just watch Mark Henry matches to study him?" It's very simple, I don't hate myself enough to watch Mark Henry matches on repeat because nobody should have to go through that torture. Oh, here's my first interviewee!

*The camera pans out as XWL interviewer Tony Dawson awkwardly enters the scene.*

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 XaOeNM8

[Tony Dawson] Uhm, hey Brad. I was told you want an interview? The interview set is over there..

[Brad Maddox] Oh no, Tony. Things are changing up a bit tonight. I'm going to be the interviewer so just have a seat and we can get started.

*Tony just shrugs his shoulders and takes a seat with Brad.*

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 UK2XTNM

[Brad Maddox] Tony, tonight I'm going to be doing a couple of interviews with XWL's top superstars.. and you. I want to come up with a concrete plan to defeat Mark Henry at Uprising so I want to start off with a non-wrestler like yourself and get your thoughts. Right now I want you to put yourself in my shoes, pretend that you're the one who has a week to prepare for a match against The World's Strongest Man! Bring me through how you would go about the prep work for the match and the actual match itself, take as much time as you need to think about it.

*Brad begins to flick through his notes waiting for Tony, after a few seconds Tony begins to reply.*

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 YuPvn5A

[Tony Dawson] Well, umm, the first thing I'd have in mind if I was facing Mark Henry would be to stay the hell away from him. I'd want to keep my distance from him because I know once he got my hands on me it'd be over. Uhm.. I know he's had a lot of knee problems in the past so I guess you could target those but then he could easily just swat you away and throttle you with his bare hands.. But if you want to win by any means necessary you could.. you know.. cheat. I mean, he wouldn't see it coming! All you have to do is hide a pair of brass knuckles in the turnbuckle and once you distract the referee somehow you pull those bad boys out and knock him out cold! He won't know what hit him! And then when he's down you kick and you punch until he can't take it anymore, make him bleed, Tony, make him bleed!! Show him that you're no push around interviewer, Tony Dawson isn't a doormat, I bust my ass here, I demand respect!! People like me damnit, you need to take your years of frustration from this god forsaken company out on him and then- Hey, what are you doing on your phone?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 4q2ycNp

[Brad Maddox] Me? Oh I'm just calling security to get you out of here because I wasn't aware that you were a psychopath.

*Tony lets out a nervous laugh.*

[Tony Dawson] Haha.. come on Brad, you're not actually calling security are you?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 UcJEkFA

[Brad Maddox] Suuuure...

*Tony hurries out of his seat and runs off set leaving Brad alone again as he shakes his head and puts his phone down.*

[Brad Maddox] Jeez.. I hope the next one goes better.

A graphic promoting The Strap match between Jeff Hardy and Bray Wyatt at Uprising pops up on the screen.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 XcA88BT

[JR]
Folks in just under two weeks Jeff Hardy will finally meet Bray Wyatt one on one, and as we learned last week, that match will now be a Strap Match!

[Michael Cole]
Bray Wyatt laid the challenge down, because that is how his father and the people he knew would settle their differences, and it's certainly going to be an interesting take on a classic match.

[King]
I don't think I'd ever wanna be strapped to either Bray Wyatt or Jeff Hardy!

[JR]
Neither would I King, they're both highly unpredictable entities, and it's going to be a match nobody should miss.

[Michael Cole]
We understand that Christy Hemme is backstage with Jeff Hardy this very moment, so let's head now to you Christy.

The video footage switches to a feed backstage, showing Christy Hemme smiling, but underneath that smile we can detect a distinct uneasy feeling to be standing next to Jeff Hardy. It's not because she fears for her safety, but more so because his getup makes him look like the next horror movie icon.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 YSpsS0e

[Christy Hemme]
Ladies and Gentlemen please give it up for my guest at this time, the man that will meet Bray Wyatt in his first ever match in XWL at Uprising in just a few weeks...The Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 NgOdlY4

[Christy Hemme]
Jeff, how does it feel to be Bray Wyatt's first opponent?

[Jeff Hardy]
I'm not just his first opponent, I am his LAST!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 6GQw5Gk

[Jeff Hardy]
Bray Wyatt is not the bringer of a brighter tomorrow, he is the bringer of death. The reason life as we know it will end, and I cannot, and SHALL NOT allow that to happen.

[Christy Hemme]
Not really answering my question, but thank you for your honesty.

[Jeff Hardy]
Do we ever truly get the answers we seek?

[Christy Hemme]
Typically in an interview, yes....but moving on.

[Jeff Hardy]
We never truly move on in life...

[Christy Hemme]
Wise words. Now Jeff, Bray Wyatt seems to have declared that he will be the one to finish you himself, that he won't call on his family to deal with you. Do you believe this is true, or is he trying to give you a false sense of security?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 ZbWTe9j

[Jeff Hardy]
Anytime one feels secure, it is false. We are never secure, that is a lesson I have learned time after time. Just when you think you're safe, the world comes crashing down around you and there's no escape! I don't trust Bray Wyatt, I don't trust anyone. But whether or not I trust him is not the question.

[Christy Hemme]
It kind of is...

[Jeff Hardy]
The question is, how honorable is his word? His message is strong, he believes in it so much so that he'll stop at nothing until the world is exactly as he sees it, not as it is. So if he's looking to convert society, then I suppose he'll have to show us all that it's not just a web made up of broken promises, designed to trap us all.

[Christy Hemme]
Good point, now moving past The Wyatt Family for just a moment, tonight you'll be in action against Kane. Last week we saw Kane seemingly join the ever growing Heyman Crew, which means that he could have some backup out there tonight, are you worried about falling to the numbers as you have to The Wyatt Family on several occasions?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 GIQxUEE

[Jeff Hardy]
Whether I fall to the numbers or not is not of my concern, Kane is merely another obstacle that has been put in my way, either I overcome it or I fail. There is no purpose to this fight, there is no reason for my blood to be spilled tonight. They can do with as they wish, for my eyes are for another. Bray Wyatt is the one whom I seek, a win or a loss will not change that for me tonight. At Uprising I will still put an end to Bray Wyatt and his tyranny, I will silence Abigail's message, and I will end their world as they know it! Kane is just another monster of the mind that tries to instill fear in those that allow fear to infect them. But I am immune to fear, I am not frightened, I am enlightened! Just as Bray Wyatt tries to scare everyone into following his path, Kane tries to scare his opponents into believing he's a monster...

Jeff's attention focuses solely on the camera, as if he's only speaking to it.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 SAHWvN6

[Jeff Hardy]
But monsters do not exist, and I do!

He suddenly closes his eyes, breathing heavily, Christy is now beyond creeped out, to the point that she's backing away very slowly...

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 YE2bBbz

The cameraman then begins to pan inward on Jeff's face, because he's a dick, and he doesn't want any of us to be able to sleep tonight. He keeps zooming on it until his face takes up the whole screen, and then after a few seconds pass, seconds that feel like an eternity, we fade out and sigh in relief.

The arena bursts into cheers at the sound of Sangriento’s entrance music blaring through the speakers, although there are still detractors among the masses. There are enough of them to make their boos audible even over the roar of the crowd, and while it would be different in the past, tonight those who still can’t bring themselves to cheer for Don West and his group of talented superstars are in the minority.

West has managed to win the people over by standing face to face with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar and not backing down. Even more than that, Sangriento has emerged as the underdog in this conflict even if he’d never define himself as such but it’s hard to argue with the facts. The tale of the tape reads that Sangriento is nearly a foot shorter and one hundred pounds lighter than the freak of nature and that’s not taking into account what must be an enormous strength difference.

What Sangriento does have on his on his side, aside from his speed, is his heart, his fighting spirit, his talent and his knack for thinking quickly on his feet that sees to it that that every battle the masked man from Tijuana, Mexico has in leaps and bounds more competitive than anyone would have first thought when they saw the names of those two men on paper. They’re scheduled to go at it one more at Uprising, in an Ultimate X match no less. We’ll see Sangriento put his mask on the line in order to win Ryback’s contract, but after the human wrecking ball’s betrayal last week one would have to wonder if Sangriento even wants his old ally back in The West Side Army.

He has weeks to think about that, and tonight he’ll have his hands full with the man he thought he had seen the last of in Curtis Axel. Sent packing by his old manager, Axel hasn’t been seen on XWL television in quite some time and the members of The West Side Army collectively thought they has seen the last of their old adversary. But he is back now, ready and rearing to make his return to the company before the ink on his contract had even dried and he’s looking to announce his second-coming in a big way by toppling a foe he must blame, in his dark and twisted mind, for Heyman forsaking him.

However, as Don West walks onto the stage alone, accompanied only by the microphone he holds in his right hand, it would seem he has other motives for being out here. Reasons that don’t include standing at ring side while his client goes to town in between those ropes. West is looking as dapper as ever, sporting his usual professional shirt and tie get up, and unless he’s looking to take an early trip to the cleaners it doesn’t look like he’ll be wrestling in his client’s place. West has a smile on his face as the people break out into a rousing chant of “West! West! West!” He’s showing no anger over what Ryback did last week, though the thought of what is client did must be killing him inside.

Don West
Well, well, well… look what he have here folks: Curtis Axel is back!

Crowd boos at the mention of Axel’s name, even breaking out into a chant of “Axel sucks” to emphasize their hatred of the man who once stood proudly by the side of Paul Heyman.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten5_zpsce5475ad

Don West
And who was it that was volunteered to be the welcome committee for our good friend Axel? A man who got his kicks from making the lives of my clients in The West Side Army a living hell? None other than the masked phenomenon, Sangriento! I’m sure they thought it would be a match for the ages! An old rivalry rekindled; the flame set to burn brighter than ever before! This is the match that you people came to see tonight because it wasn’t enough before to see us beating Curtis Axel so badly that Paul  Heyman, who once called him “better than perfect", lost all faith he once had in him and threw him out onto the street to fend for himself. Now you want to see it happen one more time, for old time’s sake, because watching The West Side Army embarrass that Neanderthal and showing him that he’s far from perfect is becoming one of America’s favorite past times!

West has never been pegged as a comedian, but that won’t stop him from at least making himself crack up. Some members of the audience give him a pity chuckle, and when West gets the laughter out of his system he gets back to business.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten4_zps6a3956d2

Don West
I was all for the match too, until I sat down and really thought about what was going on here and I realized that this was far from a coincidence or a marketing ploy, and believe me when I tell you: I know every marketing trick, tactic and maneuver in the book! Because is it really just a coincidence that Curtis Axel rears his head a week after I looked Paul Heyman dead in the eyes and told him the last memory these people will have of his client, Brock Lesnar, is that of him lying in defeat after he loses the Ultimate X match at Uprising? It’s no secret that Sangriento is hurting, I don’t remember the last time his health was at one hundred percent! I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve sat on the West Side Army tour bus, just cruising from city to city and he turned to me and said, “Don, I can’t feel my arm.” Yet every time I ask him, “Buddy, are you sure you don’t want to take a show off?” He just grits his teeth and shakes his head because sometimes he can’t even speak through the pain.

Pausing, West reflects internally at  the verbal wars he must have sad with Sangriento since Xtreme Xmas trying to get him to admit that he’s hurt. It starts off as a low rumble, but soon the people get together and start chanting “San-gri-en-to” in support.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten10_zpsf5cc9cd6

Don West
That’s the man who still steps through this curtain, marches down the ramp, gets into the ring and then promptly blows your mind with the things he can do inside of it. I’ve never met a man who works harder than Sangriento does, pushing himself past his breaking point each and every night for people who still refuse to give him the respect that he’s been willing to sacrifice his body to earn! There were people who were writing him off when he was scheduled square off against your World Champion, Alberto Del Rio and don’t you tell me that wasn’t the case because I heard the whispers. “What is the man who lost to Brock Lesnar doing in the main event?” “Does this guy really think he has what it takes to beat the champion?” But when that match was over you could hear a pin drop in the arena and that was the turning point, that was when you all finally starting to see that I'm not just talking outta my ass when I stand here and I say with confidence that I am managing the future of this company.

He’s lost many along the way, but West has managed to keep his rag tag group of wrestlers going strong and there’s no doubting that he does believe each and every one of his clients has what it takes to become a major star in XWL.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten6_zpsfc5c98ba

Don West
Sangriento could have rested on his laurels right then and there. If the title was on the line, he would be standing tall as your new World Heavyweight Champion without two good arms to raise the belt proudly over his head. But he didn’t stop there, he didn’t let that victory get to his head, he kept fighting, kept trying to build momentum, kept sacrificing only to keep running smack-dab into the road-block that is Paul Heyman. For the past two weeks Heyman has used every trick in the damn book in the hopes that he’d knock us of course. Between his secret alliances and willingness to take things too far, he’s gotten the better of us and I’ll be the first to man-up and admit that Heyman has made things interesting but what he hasn’t done is make the situation impossible to overcome. No, all Heyman is doing is delaying what is beyond guaranteed to happen. You see, Paul, you can add as many bricks as you want to the wall, but that won’t stop it from getting knocked down. Paul, you can add as many people as you want to your little group, but that’s not going to stop me from annihilating it.

That statement elicits a big pop from the crowd, beyond pleased at the thought of Heyman’s group falling apart and never being seen again.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten9_zpsc967e771

Don West
The first step to making that a reality is bringing Ryback home where he belongs. He’s the only person in your stable of men that history and XWL have forgotten that has an ounce of potential and the only reason why people are seeing that potential is because of the doors I opened for him. I’m not mad at him for what he did last week, because when I watched the events unfold I saw his eyes and saw a man who was conflicted; he didn’t turn on Sangriento because he wanted to, he did it because he had to, because you snatched up his contract like the sneaky, conniving bastard that you are! This started out as a conflict between me and you, between Sangriento and Brock Lesnar, but you had to take it a step further by bringing people into the mix who were never involved and the fact that you can toy with a man’s career like that without a hint of remorse when he has a family to feed shows that you’re nothing more than a pile a dog crap and even that’s giving you more credit than you deserve.

Booing to show their disdain of Paul Heyman, the people are clearly in the West camp, opting to give  their support to the lesser of two evils.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten12_zps789161a7

Don West
You can boo Heyman all you like, but that won’t change that this is partly my fault too for expecting him to fight fair. I played along, letting him do what he wants thinking that when he lost the game he made the rules for he’d have no choice but to accept that he’s not the top guy around here anymore. I was wrong and I allowed things to spiral out of control, but no more of that. You hear me? I’m putting my foot down and doing some damage control before we reach the point of no return. That’s why I went out of my way to get management to approve that match at Uprising whether or not Heyman wanted it to happen, and from the sounds of it he doesn’t which is great! Now he’s going to see what it’s like to be forced to go along for the ride and I hope that he chokes when he’s given a taste of his own medicine. It’s also why I went out of my way to contact some old buddies of mine from my days at TNA to make sure that Ultimate X could be brought to XWL one more time. Me being done playing your game means that I also looked Sangriento in the eyes, or at least the holes in his mask where his eyes should be, and told him to stay on the bus just before I got off and watched it drive away.

You can see that some members of the audience appear shocked and even disappointed that Don West has come right out and said that Sangriento will not be here tonight.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten19_zps3c5f62d5

Don West
I know some of you are upset, and if you’re going to be mad at anyone, make that person me. Sangriento wanted to come out here and fight, but after last week when he was left alone in the ring with two monsters, and still gave them a run for their money might I add… it was then that I realized that he was playing a dangerous game with his health.  I want you all to remember that Brock Lesnar has been sitting at home since Xtreme Xmas, resting up and relaxing on his couch, probably watching West Side Army highlight videos, while Sangriento has been out here week after week after week and I’m no doctor but even I know that it could only take one big move or one bad fall to turn a minor injury into a fracture or even a broken bone and no amount of tape on a shoulder can prevent that from happening. While I have all the faith in the world in Sangriento and believe deep within my heart  of hearts and he is leagues above Brock Lesnar... a broken arm in an Ultimate X, while would make for one hell of a story, won’t do him any favors when the bell rings.

West’s face softened more and more as he talked about the current health status of his client, but then his expression steels up as he prepares to move on with his  monologue.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten18_zpsd9f77cdf

Don West
But it wasn’t just about Sangriento’s health. It all goes back to the question I asked earlier: Is it merely a coincidence that just after I told Paul Heyman that his client’s days are numbered a face from the past reemerges? For all I know, Heyman whispered sweet nothings into Axel’s ear to convince him to come back and do him one last favor, promising him that if he got the job done that all past mistakes would be forgiven and he’d be welcomed back into the fray with open arms! You may think I’m being paranoid, but did any of you see Goldberg or Edge or Kane coming? If you say yes then you’re a big, filthy liar! They say the most dangerous man is one with nothing to lose, and what does Axel have? He doesn’t have anyone’s respect, he doesn’t have anyone by his side, he doesn’t have a lick of charisma and so if he’s coming back just to make a statement, I’m going to see to it that it’s not at my client’s expense. Curtis Axel is a thing of the past, I’ve already wiped my hands clean of him and allowing Sangriento to beat on him some more will do nothing for us in the long run.

It looked as if West was going to end things there, but the floodgates have already opened and he can’t stop himself now.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten17_zps208c702a

Don West
Beyond that, making the conscious choice not to have my client compete to night was a matter of principle. What makes Curtis Axel so special that he had to be hand gifted another contract, huh? It has to be because of who his father was, I can’t think of any other possible reason why that waste of space, that black hole of charisma, that vacuum of talent is being allowed to step back into an XWL ring when he’s shown time and time again that other than a brief Cinderella run, he is not on par with anyone else in this company, especially Sangriento. The only thing Curtis Axel is good for is bringing shame to his family name, or bringing a snack to the wrestlers who can actually hold their own and it’s a slap in the face that XWL thinks a guy like that is worth our time. We’ve wasted enough time on him, and I’m not about to spare another second. Maybe Axel can use this unexpected night off to sit back and reflect on his life and when he can finally understand that his career highlights will always be getting the better of the likes of Sin Cara and being Chavo Guerrero’s bitch, then maybe he’ll realize he won't get nowhere trying to make a name for himself at the expense of The West Side Army.

West shakes his head, and after working up a sweat tonight, he takes a handkerchief out of his pocket and wipes the moisture off his brow.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten25_zpsb6d9f0d7

Don West
Meanwhile, each and every one of my clients I've lost have yet to be seen in XWL again, when based on impact alone they’ve done more than enough to warrant another go in this place. Just look at Corey Graves, a man who had sworn off of XWL after two failed runs. Everyone had given up on him and he was starting to question if he wasn’t even good enough for this wrestling thing anymore, and I told him he was asking the wrong question. I told him the question he should be asking is if XWL deserves to have a man of his caliber, of his potential, back in their company again and we all saw what happened when he made his triumphant return. He made the third time the charm, tearing through everyone who was anyone but just before he could cement his status as a big-time player by becoming Intercontinental Champion, he fell victim to a conspiracy and that wrong was never righted. Amazing freakin’ Red was the best thing going for this company, until that fateful triple threat match when his victory was stolen. The two men involved in that match are your Intercontinental and United States Champions today; they used Red as a stepping stone and now they’re living the life.

The disgust at the way his clients have been treated, as if they’ve been blacklisted due to their association with West, is written all over their former manager’s face.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Westten24_zpscc195e75

Don West
I haven’t forgotten the names of the people who have wronged us along the way, and I sure as hell haven’t forgiven them. They’ll all be taken care of and given their just desserts at some point before this is all said and done. They need to learn the hard way that when you mess with West you go down with the rest!

The crowd cheers as the music starts up again, and West nods in appreciation of the support the fans are giving him. He raises his arm into the air, waves to the people, then turns and heads backstage. He may have given one of his clients the day off, but West’s night is only just beginning.

As XWL Breakdown continues, we are taken to the titantron where Josh Matthews is seen with a Rey Mysterio.

Josh Matthews: Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am Josh Matthews with the man that was brutally attacked backstage last week, Rey Mysterio.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQho9WQvaDEnOU-rxlCG3k0MrFAbTWtywLM2P34IhVPSCGsrlJmKw

Rey looks to be in a very angry mood at the moment as he stares right into the screen with a look in his eye that's never been seen before.

Josh Matthews: Now Rey, I understand that due to the injuries you took from Sheamus last week, you've recieved word from your doctor that you're not allowed to compete until after Uprising. What's going on through your head after hearing this news?

Rey slowly takes the mic and doesn't take his eyes off the camera for one second.

Rey Mysterio
I'm obviously not feeling to good Josh considering I was blindsided by Sheamus last week. You know, a few weeks ago, I challenged Sheamus to a match on Uprising and he's tried to take me out ever since. He started this all and he thinks he ended it. Well I promise to the XWL universe that it's far from over. I will get my match and if it can't be at Uprising, then I'll make an arrangement. But, what makes me sick to my stomach is that a guy as disrespectful and twisted as Sheamus, he gets a number one contenders match to replace our match because I can't compete. I have a concussion and I'm actually not even supposed to be backstage but I was assured that what happened last week won't happen this week. Sheamus may feel accomplished for dodging the 619 train, but it'll turn around and hit him just as hard. He'll just wait. I'm not done by a long shot.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014   -  1/31/2014 2Q==

Josh Matthews: Well Rey, the rumors are that Stephanie Mcmahon was impressed by Sheamus before you even came onto the scene.

Rey Mysterio
You know what, he may of earned it but he dug his own hole Josh. But the fact of the matter is, he's keeping me from competing which is sort of breaking my promise to the fans when I first came back a few weeks ago. I told the whole world that I won't let them down again. However, i'm not breaking that promise. I'm to loyal to my fans to let them down like this. I'm going to recover from this and I'll come back with vengeance in mind. Sheamus, I don't care what you achieve at Uprising, you're bound to get what's coming to you. I just need one match against you to prove to the whole world that just because you're bigger than me, doesn't mean you have the right to bully me. I'm one small guy but I sure do put up a big fight to make up for it.

Josh Matthews: Ok Rey, one last question before you leave. Looking past your match with Sheamus, what's next for you here in XWL?

Rey Mysterio
I've seen the roster Josh. I've watched the shows. I'm bound to run into another man who decides to show me a great deal of disrespect, and if that happens, I'll put an end to it. That's my thing. I'm big on respect. Respect me and I'll respect you simple as that. But, other than that, I guess I'll take any opportunity I can to please the fans. Even if it puts my body at risk each and ever week, I love what I do and I'll push anybody out of my way who stands before me trying to put an end to it. Sheamus will have a fight ahead of him. And i'm not afraid to stand up and fight whoever else wants to bring me down.

Josh Matthews: Ok, thank you for your time.

Rey Mysterio
No problem man.

With that, Rey Mysterio pats Josh Matthews on the back and walks off camera as XWL continues elsewhere.

The cameras pan to the arena's parking lot area, where you would see a black car enter the parking lot. A few seconds later, after the car had turned around, R-Truth appeared out of nowhere, and stands in front of the car. The car instantly stops, as the driver notices R-Truth kneel down on his knees, and looks at his hands with distraught. R-Truth then looks at the driver and begins to shout.

R-Truth
Why the hell would you do that, man?!

The driver, looking confused, opens his car door, and gets out, and stands over R-Truth.

Driver
What do you mean? I was only driving down the...

R-Truth
You killed Lil' Jimmy, you heartless human being!

The driver, still looking confused, slowly heads back to his car, but R-Truth snaps at him before the driver could reach his car, and drive away.

R-Truth
Now, you're going to get what you truly deserve, for killing Lil' Jimmy!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 14cadrb

R-Truth lunges for the driver, and hits a solid right hook at the side of his face, mainly hitting the jaw. He clutches the drivers head, before slamming his head onto the car hood multiple times, leaving the expression of the driver very dazed and in pain. R-Truth then throws the driver onto the floor, with the back of his head hitting the road first. The driver, luckily not bleeding, is still in pain, and holding the back of his head whilst screaming out in pain. R-Truth then looks at the camera as he closes the door of the car.

R-Truth
Don't mind him. He's not screaming in pain, he's screaming because he wants ice-cream. But, that's not the important matter of hand here, I can't believe it, Lil' Jimmy is gone, and there wasn't anything I could do about it, I told him not to go running around places, but I guess he didn't pay attention very well.

R-Truth's expression changes from being slightly sad to looking happy and teary. He sits on a curb, which is right next to the driver, who hasn't currently moved from his position. He stares at the camera, and begins to speak.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Video_r_truth_hilarious_backstage_interview_raw_8_8_11_1313132547

R-Truth
Lil' Jimmy began as a liability for me, when he started suddenly appearing at all my matches. It really ticked me off at first, because at every important match I had, he would always come into the ring and knock me out, and the other guy would secure the win! But one day, when I went to the park, I saw Lil' Jimmy again, with a nice ice-cream, and he looked so happy. When I saw him at first, I wanted to go up to him and take that ice-cream out of his hand and wanted to watch him cry. But, when I was sat down, he came up to me, not with 1 ice-cream, but 2 ice-creams! I couldn't believe it at first, but Lil' Jimmy was being nice to me! We ate the ice-creams together and played on the playground and went on the monkey-bars. He would always slip when he got halfway, but I was always there for him.

Driver
Please! Help me! I was only concerned about you, and I didn't mean to hurt your imaginary friend!

R-Truth's expression changed once again, to being very angry. He get's off the curb, and stares at the driver.

R-Truth
HE'S NOT IMAGINARY!! HE'S A REAL BOY!!

R-Truth then kicks him in the gut, making him roll over, afterwards driving the edge of his foot at the side of the drivers head, seriously injuring him, once again. R-Truth heads over to the car, and places both hands on the hood as he leans forward. He would continue what he was saying before being interrupted.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 R-truth-1

R-Truth
Now that 2 and a half years have passed, all I can say for Lil' Jimmy, is that he is still a lil' shit! He is still a conspiracy that would always get in my way every time I would have a match. I cared for him, loved him, and all he did was ruin every chance I get! You saw me down there, right Camera guy? Of course you did! I bet y'all was wondering why I was crying about Lil' Jimmy, right? I was releasing over 2 years, of pain, and suffering!! Now that he's gone, I can focus on what is really my prize. To become one of the greats, the best superstar on the current roster! And soon to be, the most followed celebrity on Twitter! I CAN KISS A GIRL, AND I LIKE IT TOO! Yeah that's right, I'm talking about you Katy Perry! Your streak will end here, because now that Lil' Jimmy's gone, R-Truth is taking over the world!!

R-Truth begins to head back to the backstage area, before looking down on the road, and he appears to see Lil' Jimmy's carcass on the road. He lift him up onto his shoulders, and heads over back to the driver. He then scoop slams Lil' Jimmy onto the driver, and R-Truth just staring at the two. He screams out

R-Truth
TAKE THAT LIL' JIMMY!!

[/b]He then looks away, as he takes his cell phone out of his pocket, and calls a number. The number shows as 911[/b]

911
This is the Emergency Service department, how may I help you?

R-Truth
Hey! You guys aren't doing your job properly! My dead friend and some driver has been here for at least 10 minutes and you haven't done anything! Get an ambulance to the arena, and make it snappy! CHOP CHOP!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Mqdefault

R-Truth hangs up, right before he drops his phone onto the road, as he walks away, leaving the camera to be panned onto the phone and R-Truth's feet as he walks to the backstage area.

(Feedback welcomed and stuff. Hope you like it. Smile

The titantron comes to life with a black screen and words scrolled across it reading, "Earlier Today." The image changes to a man, "pumping some iron." The guy, stands as a rather buff, masculine guy, lifting a bar with two huge weights on either end of the bar. The sound of metal clicking every time he curls the bar up to his chest sounds out, echoing in the arena.

[???]
Sup dude!

The man stops weight lifting and looks to his left as the camera backs out, revealing Eric Young, in a tank top and shorts. Young gets next to the dude, slaps his own chest and arms, and begins to warm up.

[Eric Young]
I hope you don't mind if I, you know, warm up right here.

[Man]
Naw man, it's alright.

[Eric Young]
Alright. Thanks!

Young goes through a couple of stretches, then looks back to the man, chuckling to himself. The man stops again, looking at Eric.

[Man]
Is something funny?

[Eric Young]
Naw man.

The man stares at Young oddly, then goes back to curling the bar. Young chuckles again a few curls later. The man ignores it, then the chuckle turns into a laugh. The man drops the bar in front of him.

[Man]
What's so funny dude!?

[Eric Young]
You call that weight lifting? Ha.

[Man]
So, you think you could do better?

[Eric Young]
Step aside, chump.

Young walks over to the man, pushing him back, and lines himself up to pick up the bar. He starts to do some squats, preparing for the feat. He stretches his arms some more, wasting time. Cracks his neck, the grabs the bar. He begins to breath in and out very heavily and very quickly. Then, shoots up. A ripping noise can be heard as Eric's face turns red. The man laughs at Young, picking up his weights and moving away from Eric. Young sits down quickly, facepalming at himself. Suddenly, a whistle can be heard. Xavier Woods walks into frame, towel draped over his shoulder, a duffel bag in his other hand.

[Xavier Woods]
Oh hey there Eric!

Eric looks up sadly, and responds in a sad tone.

[Eric Young]
Oh.... Hey there Xavier.

Xavier sits down next to Young, smiling widely at him.

[Xavier Woods]
Why so glum Eric?

[Eric Young]
I have that big match to prepare for at Uprising, you know? And, I came in here to train, but I ended up ripping my pants and I am not as strong as the other guys and I don't know if I can win at the pay-per-view and I just don't know-

[Xavier Woods]
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who are you and what have you done with my buddy Eric Young? What happened to that never say die spirit man?

[Eric Young]
It's just, I don't know if I can-

[Xavier Woods]
Calm down man. You said you ripped your shorts, right?

[Eric Young]
Yeah...

Xavier turns away from Eric, rummaging through his duffel bag. He pulls out a pair of black shorts, handing them to Eric.

[Xavier Woods]
There you go man. What I think you need, is a training partner! Seeing as I need to put some time in at the gym as well, why don't I personally apply for the job?

[Eric Young]
Oh boy, do you mean it!?

[Xavier Woods]
Of course Eric. Why don't you get changed and we can start training.

Eric hops up, grabbing his shorts and dropping them in front of the camera, Xavier, and the entire gym, revealing pink speedos.

[Xavier Woods]
Whoa dude! Not here! There's a room for that!

[Eric Young]
Oh.

Young sheepishly pulls the shorts back up and waddles off screen to go find a bathroom to change in. Xavier shakes his head, watching him waddle away.

[Xavier Woods]
This is going to be a long day.

........

The video suddenly changes to a scene of Eric Young and Xavier Woods walking down an empty hallways. Young is wearing a sock cap and sweats. Woods is wearing tape on his hands, a tank top, and shorts. The duo walk in slow motion down the hall as the music begins to play.

A man walks in front of them, cutting in from another hallway only to be shoved back into it by a determined looking Young. Woods nods in confidence as the screen changes again to the work-out room. Young comes up to Woods holding to actual bells that read "dumb." Woods shakes his head, tosses the bells over his shoulder, and hands Young actual dumbbells to work out with. Young nods, gives him and thumbs up and a smile and begins to "pump some iron."

The image changes again to show a woman running on a treadmill. Young walks up to the treadmill next to her, bobbing his head up and down. He then steps on it, turns it on, and begins power walking. Young gets his "Santino" power walk going, causing the girl to smile at him. Eric notices, turns to smiles back, and slips. He lands on the treadmill face first, thudding and being slid off by the still moving track. The girl giggles at him, turns off her treadmill and goes away. Woods enters the frame, helping Young up off the ground.

The image changes again to show Eric spotting Woods on the bench. Young helps him left the bar off the rungs, and watches as Woods begins to lift it off of his own chest, up and down. Young nods up and down, getting pumped when a few girls walk by with some cotton candy. A look of delight comes across his face as he rushes off to get some. Woods begins to struggle with the bar, having it almost fall on him. A random by-passer helps Woods get the bar back onto the rungs. Xavier sits up, rubbing his arms as Young comes up with two things of cotton candy. He is munching on one, and extends the other to Xavier who shakes his head, smiles, and then takes it.

The image changes yet again, this time cutting the music out. The new image finds the duo, sitting what would appear to be outside, back against a brick building, munching on cotton candy. Young, mouthful of cotton candy, looks over at Xavier.

[Eric Young]
Thanks for believing in me dude.

Xavier smiles, running his free hand through his hair.

[Xavier Woods]
No problem man. Great work today.

[Eric Young]
I'm sorry for letting the bar fall on you.

[Xavier Woods]
It's fine Eric.

Eric munches on the cotton candy for another moment, then looks at Woods.

[Eric Young]
Do you mind if I....

[Xavier Woods]
Here.

Woods hands over his cotton candy, filling Eric's face with delight. Young begins to chomp on it now, digging in as Xavier exhales heavily.

[Xavier Woods]
I think I'm going to go back to my hotel room for the rest of the day, alright?

[Eric Young]
If you want to man. Same time next week?

[Xavier Woods]
Sure.

Woods stands up, brushes his back off from the dirt of the wall, and goes to step away as Young hops up.

[Eric Young]
Wait, Xavier!

Xavier turns around into a big hug from Eric, who dropped his cotton candy for the occasion.

[Eric Young]
Thanks for, you know, being my friend dude.

Xavier laughs to himself and returns the hug, finding no other way to handle the situation.

[Xavier Woods]
It's my pleasure, Eric.

The two release each other, Eric waves quickly and Xavier walks out of the frame. Young turns back to his cotton candy on the ground, cocks his head, then bends over, picking it up. He looks it over, finds little dirt in it, takes a big ol' bite out of it and walks out of view as the image comes to a close.

Breakdown returns to the theme of Wade Barrett playing throughout the arena, however after a few moments there is still no sign of the British brawler on the entrance way.

[Jim Ross]
Welcome back to Breakdown folks.  It seems like we're about to be joined by Wade Barrett...

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Where is he?  I can hear his music but I don't see him!

[Michael Cole]
Barrett has been known to make a limited number of appearances lately.  I wouldn't be surprised if... oh wait... what is this?

The figure of Barrett finally appears.  He's on a podium of some kind off to the right of the stage which is slowly rising above the masses of the XWL Universe.  Barrett wears a sly smirk on his face as he towers above everyone, which is no doubt feeding his superiority complex.  He looks all business dressed in a sharp suit and seems to have a new-found confident aura about him.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 KETk5FG

[Jim Ross]
I've never seen anything like this.  He must be 20 feet in the air.

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
I don't know what we're witnessing here...

As the podium comes to a stop at a great height, Barrett's music fades away.  He takes a few moments to eye up the thousands of jeering bodies beneath him before raising a gavel and pounding away at the podium.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 LaJhKzX

[Wade Barrett]
Ladies and gentlemen, can I have some decorum please?!?

This causes the crowd to boo even louder than before.  Barrett happy that he now has their attention, stops his onslaught with the gavel.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 OhndiJ4

[Wade Barrett]
It's been a long time since I came out here and I grabbed the attention of not only XWL but the entire wrestling world.  Just two years ago I was the World Heavyweight Champion and I main-evented the biggest show of the year at Final Stand.  Ever since then I have been on a continuous downward spiral.  Admittedly, it has taken me quite some time to reach that conclusion, but when you take into account everything I have gone through over the past 2 years, it's clear for anybody to see that I am not the man I once was.  This has resulted in me being criticized and being exiled to the fringe of irrelevancy and I've been awarded with more than my fair share of detractors.  Looking down at all of you half-wits booing me right now I can see that you all share their opinions of me.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 9kcWuFF

[Wade Barrett]
But I'm afraid that for all of my doubters... I've got some bad news!  I've been content with making sporadic appearances and settling for second best for far too long and tonight marks the moment I begin my own personal Uprising back onto the path of success where I belong.  The Barrett Barrage resumes tonight and I personally guarantee that I will once again become World Heavyweight Champion and surpass the heights I reached in the past.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 GboFRiG

[Wade Barrett]
And with that of course, comes some good news because what that means is that you people will no longer have to put up with the likes of Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Dean Ambrose or my old nemesis Ted Dibiase clogging up the main events with their mundane personalities and inadequate ring ability.  I will be a main eventer and a champion to be proud of.  You might not like me now but when your fickle, little minds can comprehend what I'm saying and when you witness once again what I am capable of you will all come around to the idea of Wade Barrett as the face of this company.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 A2QoWDX

[Wade Barrett]
But for now, I want you all to continue stuffing your faces adding to the obesity problem that already plagues this country, and I want you to continue battering your livers with alcohol because you need to either be under the influence or eat your sickening comfort-foods to get some kind of enjoyment out of the mediocre programming this company serves you on a weekly basis.  I just hope that you disgusting hillbillies have medical insurance because god only knows what kind of state your bodies are in after indulging in such unhealthy habits and living in such a polluted and toxic environment like Oklahoma.

Barrett revels in the fact that the crowd's jeers reach a deafening volume after the attack on the fan's home state.  He chuckles to himself before delivering his closing statement.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 JH3LH4k

[Wade Barrett]
With that being said, I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart for leaving your barns for the day to come and see me... Bad News Barrett!  Thank you very much!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 OlYFlUk

Barrett begins hammering away with the gavel once again, inciting the fan's hatred once more.  A devilish grin appears on his face as the crowd roars in disapproval at his words, before after a few moments he raises his arms clearly proud of the message of intent he delivered here tonight.  The Bad News Barrett logo appears on the screen to end the segment before a commercial break takes over the programming momentarily.

[???]
ATTENTION PLEASE.

[Michael Cole]
Oh my god! Yes! YES!

*Much to the shock of everybody here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the theme of “The Dashingly Insane” hits the PA system, electing a collective chorus of boos from the jam packed crowd. After a few moments of waiting pass us by, Cody leaps out from behind the curtain in his white jacket, with his hood draped over his forehead, hiding his eyes. He pulls his hood back, leering at the fact that over ten thousand people were booing him out of the building. No surprise, as he stops at the top of the stage, he reveals that he is in possession of a microphone.*

[Jim Ross]
Well, like it or not, Cody Rhodes appears to be back in XWL, ladies and gentlemen. It’s been two weeks since we last saw home, and he gave a rather cold interview to Matt Striker in the back, creating rumours of doubts about Dashingly Sleazy’s future here in the company.

[Jerry Lawler]
Speaking of Dashingly Sleazy, where has Joey Ryan been? I think it’s been almost two months since we’ve seen him at this point. What’s going on, JR?

[Jim Ross]
I haven’t got a clue, King.

[Michael Cole]
Have you gone senile, Lawler? Cody said they were dealing with personal issues! Now butt out, and let the man, XWL’s Finest, The Dashingly Insane speak!

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_039
[Cody Rhodes]
It’s been quite some time since all of you have seen me out here in a live arena, hasn’t it? Yeah, I know you’re all so excited to see me back, but I don’t know if I’m excited to be back. First of all, as you can all see, I am currently without my Dashingly Sleazy tag team partner, Joey Ryan. As I stated two weeks ago in my interview with Matt Striker, Joey has had some personal issues to take care of and as a result he is still unable to be with us here tonight. I would just like to publicly state right here on Breakdown that I hope everything gets better, Joey. Because Joey Ryan is my best friend in this world, and the fact that a man such as his caliber is going through all of this trouble while men like Alberto Del Rio is the World Championship makes my stomach turn. Don’t worry, Joey, I’m gonna make everything right. I will make sure you have a new, grander XWL to return to when you’re finally ready, because that’s what best friends do for each other. But, Joey Ryan’s absence isn’t the only reason why I am rather unmotivated when it comes to stepping back into that ring.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_040
[Cody Rhodes]
I know you people tend to be a little bit blind, so allow me to remove the wool this company has pulled down over your eyes. This company has been in pretty rough shape over the past few months, it’s something everybody in the back knows, and it’s something that they’ve all been trying to hide from you people. You people know me, however, and I’m going to be honest with all of you. I’m not going to conceal the truth, even if I hate all of you, because I cannot do that as a man who seeks the truth himself. Simply put, this company is a damn joke. I mean, let’s start at the top, shall we? As I stated beforehand, our prestigious World Heavyweight Champion is none other than Alberto Del Rio. It only took two years of title shot after title shot after title shot for you to finally win the big one, Alberto. The first time I had a fair one on one match for that World Heavyweight Championship, I won. It took my two years to just get a shot in the first place, and I made it count. But you, Alberto, you practically just got to sit on your ass until the McMahons finally decided to hand you that title. I think the only person who was less deserving of that World Championship, my World Championship, was Ted DiBiase. However, I promise you, Alberto, that you won’t be World Champion for very much longer.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_028
[Cody Rhodes]
And how about the oh-so-deserving contenders to Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Championship? We had the Miz in the title picture for over two months and to say he couldn’t get the job done would be an understatement. He had that little miscreant Alex… who really cares running around for him, doing his dirty work, and once he finally ditched him and had to step up to plate, he choked and struck out. Now, the Miz is nothing more than an after thought, just like he was one year ago. Now, out goes one and in comes another. The next challenge to Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Championship is that schizoid Dean Ambrose. Man, Dean Ambrose has had more failed stables than I have. From Men of Honor to the Shield, they all bailed him on and moved onto bigger and better things, for a good reason. too. Fact is, Dean Ambrose has been nothing more than a stepping stone his entire career, just like Alberto Del Rio. Dolph Ziggler beat him, and next thing you know he’s World Champion. Need I remind you who beat Dolph? I digress, because the fact that the two biggest stepping stones in XWL history are the ones competing for the World Championship should concern all of you.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_019
[Cody Rhodes]
Speaking of Dean Ambrose, this lead to another thing bothering about this company. How everyone around me is going soft, just take a look at Don West and his West Side Army. Don West had a legitimate chance to bring the careers of all his superstars to new heights, and when Paul Heyman comes around with a couple of jacked up freaks with more brawn than brains, he goes soft and tries to pander to you people? Mark my words, Don West and Sangriento are going to rue the day they sided with you people when they look at this company and see Paul Heyman’s guys at the top. I tried to warn everyone of you people, but nobody ever listens to Cody Rhodes. Everybody looks at Cody Rhodes like’s crazy, but I assure you am I not… I am merely insane. *Cody cackles for a moment before snapping back into the promo.*  I mean, just take a look at the Rock. He decided to side with you people again, and look what happened to him. Dashingly Sleazy took him out, he hasn’t had the guts to show his face around here in two months because of what Cody Rhodes and Joey Ryan did to him. Dashingly Sleazy never fell to your people, and we’re the ones on top now because of it.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_033
[Cody Rhodes]
Ah… speaking of you gracious, kind, wonderful people, that brings me to third and final gripe with the current state of this company. The McMahons had some bright idea to give you people the power to vote weekly on Breakdown with this grand idea known as XWL Active. Did Digital Decision prove nothing to them? I know the McMahons are still fairly new around here, but I expected Vince of all people to know better than lay all that power in the hands of you people. The only saving grace of Digital Decision was the fact that I won each and every single year, I took that pay-per-view away from you people and I sleep a little easier at night knowing that. Now the McMahons want to have you vote each and every single week? You people are the largest collection of ignorant, uneducated, and unqualified people anybody could ever dream of… and now the McMahons want to give you a voice? They should be able to realize that you people are stupid enough to buy any line of bullcrap they sell you, you’ve been doing it for the five plus years this company has been going.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_037
[Cody Rhodes]
Perhaps I shouldn’t be so cynical. I shouldn’t say that I have no motivation, because that isn’t true. There’s only two things I want in this world, and only XWL can give them to me. I want to become World Heavyweight Champion again, because I was down right screwed out of that title by Hulk Hogan. Hogan couldn’t stand to see my as World Champion, so he got his two goons in Dolph Ziggler and Ol’ Crybaby Ted to do his dirty work for him. He put them in a triple threat match with me, and as a result Dolph was able to steal a victory and my World Heavyweight Championship. I must avenge the injustice that was done upon me that night and I cannot rest until I have the World Heavyweight Championship in my hands once again. That’s not the only thing I want, however. I want to see the look on each and every one of your faces when I hold that title up one more time. Last time I won it, I was too focused on that fact to focus on you people. But now, I will have all the time in the world to savor the despair your faces omit, and I will bask in your misery.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_041
[Cody Rhodes]
At the end of last year I made a promise, a promise that a member of Dashingly Sleazy will once again become the World Heavyweight Champion in 2014. With or without Joey Ryan here, I will see to it that my promise comes true and that my dreams, your nightmares, become a reality. Cody Rhodes is back and he is refreshed. Even with everything that disgusts me about this company, having to endure it all will be worth it because at the end I know I will win, and you people will lose. This is a message to Alberto Del Rio, Dean Ambrose, or anybody else who might undeservingly see themselves with my World Heavyweight Championship. You better watch your back because Cody Rhodes is gunning for you. One false step, and that title will be back with me. Heed my advice, or you will sorely regret. Because I’m no longer a self-proclaimed savior with a messiah complex. I am XWL’s Finest, and the Dashingly Insane One has returned.

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Normal_054

*Cody begins to laugh maniacally and uncontrollably, slowly backing away from his microphone until he loses control and drops it onto the stage. The impact of the microphone echoes across the arena, ringing just about everybody’s ears if Cody’s laughter wasn’t enough. Eventually, Cody regains his composure and gazes across the arena, scowling at the capacity crowd here in Tulsa.*

[Michael Cole]
Strong words from our next World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes there everybody! Boy, it’s great to see XWL’s Finest back! You know I gave him that nickname, right?

[Jerry Lawler]
Yes, we know.

[Jim Ross]
You know, most if not all people can’t stand Cody, but it’s hard to argue with his claim to the World Heavyweight Championship. He’s done it before, and it might be best if Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose watch their backs.

[Michael Cole]
He’s done it before, and he’ll do it again! I can’t wait to see Cody beat Alberto Del Rio, shutting him up once and for all!

[Jerry Lawler]
Yeah well, never underestimate Alberto Del Rio, he’s proven that time and time again.

[Michael Cole]
Yeah, well, I doubt he can beat Dean Ambrose anyway! Cody’s back! Woo!

*As Cody finally heads to the back again, XWL Breakdown heads to another commercial break.*

I got the game btw

Kurt Angle: Attention. Attention. Cut the music. Cut the music.
XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 220px-10

As the crowd boos Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle:
You guys boo me after all the blood, sweat, & tears I put in this ring. Last week was suppose to be my week. I was suppose to have the victory last week. Instead I lost to XAVIER WOODS. This morning I walked into XWL happy as can be then guess what I heard. John Cena vs Prince Devitt Number 1 Contenders Match for the United States Championship. Really?

XWL Breakdown: 1/24/2014 - 1/31/2014 Kurt10

Kurt Angle:
Then we have Sheamus vs Eric Young Number 1 Contenders Match for the Intercontinental Championship. I mean come on that weird little guy Eric Young has a contender match for a championship. If he can get one why can't I. Why can't I be in the number 1 contenders match for the United States Championship. I should be the United States Champion. I am the Gold Medalist. Matter of fact. To prove that I should be the United States Champion, I am challenging anyone backstage to match at Uprising. ANYONE. And when I win, I demand a United States Championship Match.

As Kurt Angle theme hits he puts on his USA shades and smiles

Warrior
-your stuff has been enjoyable to read, and while something can be said for short and effective promos, I often felt that yours ended just when it was starting to get good. Good to see a new guy putting in effort and looking forward to seeing how you operate within storylines.

Maddox
-I tell you how much I love your maddox stuff all the time. This was more of the same wonderfulness

Hardy
-Been enjoying this feud overall, especially the way you two play your characters. Was hoping for more this week after the epicness that was the last but this interview got the point across.

Mysterio
-Your stuff has been great and way better than what I thought it would be when you first picked Rey up. Like that you're playing him as this down to earth guy who tells it like it is and it's great that you're working around what happened to your feud with Sheamus being named contender and all.

R-Truth/Young/Woods
-The lot of you guys from the other place appear to like putting a different spin and it's been a breath a fresh air reading what you post among all the super seriousness. R-Truth segment was amazing and the Woods/Young segment was a joy to read a definite step up from what Young did last week. Keep up the good work, guys.

Barrett
-While not a big departure from the usual, this promo was great from top the bottom and the Bad News Barrett gimmick definitely has a lot of potential and can't wait to see what you do during this run. If there was anyone who would be able to legitimize Wade by sheer amount of wins alone it would be you.

Rhodes
-Amazing promo, good to have Cody/you back. Good to see Rhodes back in the swing of things, not even missing a step. Covering for Joey, the shots at the world title scene, shout out to the wsa, and him outlining his goals for 2014 all flowed well from point to point and this was a huge promo that didn't feel burdensome to read at all. Can't wait to see what you do as Daniels.

Kurt
-This was a good start, but just like the Warrior promo it felt like this ended abruptly just when I was really getting invested in it.
