LIVE FROM: Philips Arena
Atlanta, Georgia
DEADLINE: 4:30 P.M. EST / 9:30 P.M. GMT1. #ANDSTILLAt Downpour The reigning and defending Women's Champion Natalya would face her first test as champion, a test that no champion that's ever had to defend in The Elimination Chamber, has passed. But through her unbreakable spirit, The Queen of Harts did just that. Starting off The Chamber, outlasting every other Woman, securing 3 of the 5 Eliminations, a truly dominant performance, Natalya is STILL The Women's Champion. With a reign that was 8 years in the making and 8 weeks until the showcase of the immortals...who dares to challenge the unbreakable bond Natalya shares with The Women's Championship?
2. It's good to be PHENOMENALIt's been a rough year for AJ Styles, but physically and mentally, losing himself, finding himself again, grueling rivalries that changed his very career, crushing losses, triumphant victories. AJ Styles has been through hell and back, and we can add one more thing to that list, he is now The NEW Intercontinental Champion! Downpour was TOO SWEET for Styles, who gave an impassioned speech following his victory that finally repaired the relationship between him and The XWL Universe. With a clean slate and a new adventure, things are looking pretty Phenomenal for The NEW Intercontinental Champion.
3. The Lunatic Runs The AsylumDean Ambrose has been surviving all of life's challenges since childhood, and it's that very survival that has made him a force in XWL once again. Walking into The Elimination Chamber as World Television Champion, and enduring hell in every physically imaginable way throughout the course of that match to add The World Heavyweight Championship to his collection when he walked out. The face of Anarchy has joined the likes of Shawn Michaels and Matt Sydal to dual hold The World Heavyweight Championship alongside another for the first time...but you know what they say, with titles come, challengers,...and with 2 titles now in his possession, Dean's road to Final Stand X will be a whole new challenge to survive.
4. The Cabinet is MONEYWhile things couldn't have been worse for The Leader of The Cabinet JBL at Downpour due to the return of Matt Sydal...the Cabinet itself has never been stronger. Gaining a FABULOUS new addition to their ranks when JBL alongside a familiar face gave the assist to The Princess of Staten Island and signed, sealed, and delivered Carmella not only to victory but as their newest member. With Aiden English Mr. Money in The Bank, and Carmella Miss Money in The Bank BOTH in The Cabinet, it's safe to say The Cabinet has all the tools necessary to make 2018, THEIR year.
5. Grand Timing With 8 weeks until The Grandest Stage of them all...Anarchy tonight will see several new careers in XWL bloom as they hope to be apart of the historic 10th anniversary of Final Stand. With a very controversial and entirely unconventional process to joining the roster, Jimmy & Jey Uso are officially at last signed Superstars. Tonight Jimmy Uso goes one on one with Roderick Strong who returned at Downpour in losing effort to Pete Dunne. Can Roderick bounce back? Or will Jimmy lockdown his Anarchy debut win?
Becky Lynch has been scouted for the roster over the last several years, but she wasn't ready to set her roots down until she fought Charlotte Flair the show before Downpour and it lit STRAIGHT FIRE in her. Now officially a member of the roster, she hoped to face Sasha tonight, but that challenge has been unanswered. So she'll have to "settle" for kicking The Lass of Miss Money in The Bank.
Andrade “Cien” Almas alongside Zelina Vega make their Grand debut tonight. We don't know a lot about them, but The Temper Temptress cited that THEY are the change XWL has desperately needed. Andrade claims that all false idols will be put to rest and that he is "100" which means he's ten times better than you. They aim to take your pride and make you swallow it whole like a bitter pill. But they'll be best to not underestimate Andrade's opponent tonight, Kevin Owens. Kevin, of course, the best friend of now former World Champion Sami Zayn surely won't be in the best of moods. So can Andrade bring "tranquility" to him, or will Kevin give Mr. "100" a not so friendly welcome?
