There's one clear dominant force in the tag team divison, and that is the champions themselves. Having held onto their titles for well over a year, the trash city stupid idiots have reached groundbreaking territory, knocking back all of their challengers, defending their titles an astounding eight times,they can only be considered the best tag team XWL has ever seen.
However, we're entering a new era in tag team wrestling, and the competition is far more fierce than it has ever been, and that couldn't have been made clearer than it was last week on Anarchy, when the trash city stupid idiots took to the ring, only to be repeatedly interrupted by challenger after challenger...
Adam Cole and Dominic Djankovic have been an impressive team so far, even defeating the World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, and the king of the ring, Cesaro, in one night. Their impressive victories and their strong connection in the ring are just two of the reasons why Cole and Djankovic believe themselves to be the rightful number one contenders to the Tag Team Championships.
Kyle O'Reilly and R-Truth would be quick to disagree, having come down to throw their names into the pot as well. These two best friends may not be the most seasoned tag team in the company, having never actually competed in a tag match themselves, however their friendship outside of the ring is incomparable, and the chemistry they share may just be enough to dethrone the year long champions.
Not to be forgotten, the Enterprise claimed property of the tag team titles, and if their words are anything to go by, they aren't prepared to mess around! Bobby Roode and Cesaro laid down the challenge, two members of the most imposing alliance on XWL, they want all of the gold, and it may not be long before the get it.
