-/- News heading into tonight's show -/-
1.What's Next for Sydal?
Matt Sydal has long been involved with the World Heavyweight Title scene. Now that he has yet again seen his chance to regain the title slip from his grasp, this time at the hands of the Broken King, where will he turn next? Without the championship as his goal, will Sydal look to make an impact in another way? Perhaps we'll find out when he stars in tonight's edition of Miz TV. One thing is for sure, someone as ambitious as him will not be content to sit on the bench as others surpass him.
2. Heir Apparent?
The Broken King Matt Hardy successfully defended his throne at Cyberslam, defeating both Edge and Matt Sydal in a triple threat match. It is now clear that Broken Matt does not intend for his reign to be a short one. Naturally, there will be no shortage of superstars clamoring to steal the crown, but who will prove to be a worthy challenger? Both Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman watched their opportunity to fight for gold slip away as Edge was voted into the match at Cyberslam by the XWL Universe. Will one of these warriors be able to rise above the sea of competitors and seize what they narrowly missed last week?
3. How Ya' Doin'??
Cyberslam was full of surprises, from JBL reclaiming his Intercontinental championship to the Undertaker again showing why he is in control of the Elite title. Not all of the surprises were matches however, as the XWL Universe was greeted by none other than Enzo Amore and Big Cass. The Certified G and the 7 Foot tall wrecking machine made their PPV debut and showed the Allstate Arena why they are the biggest faces in the league and that everyone else is simply SAWFT. How will the introduction of these two affect the landscape of XWL going forward? They seem poised to cause some damage with their vocal ferocity and fists of fury. And you can't teach that.
4. Unbeatable?
Sister April has decimated opponent after opponent since claiming the Women’s championship. No one in the division has been able to defeat her and she still stands tall after Cyberslam. Fortunately, there has been a resurgence of fresh talent and challengers such as Asuka, Ruby Riot, and Charlotte stand at the ready. Who will be the next to try her hand at slaying the dragon that might just be invincible?
5. The Ladder to the Top
Now that Cyberslam has officially come to a close, the build to one of the most exciting events of the year can officially start. That is, of course, the Money in the Bank match at Emergence. This is one of the few matches that can completely change the course of XWL. The man that emerges victorious can challenge any champion at any time. This layer of unpredictability is rivaled by very little, and the contenders will soon be decided. Who will be lucky enough to have the chance to climb that ladder and secure themselves a place in the history books?

The crowd cheers as Seth Rollins walks through the back. Seth has a look of pure determination on his face as he cracks his neck. He stops right before the curtain, and takes a deep breath it's just then that Renee runs up to Seth
[Renee Young] Seth! Seth! I just want to hear what's on your mind going into a match against the monster like Braun Strowman
Seth smiles a weak smile as he turns to Renee
[Seth Rollins] Cyberslam didn't go the way I wanted it to. I was close, but more people wanted to see Edge. And hey, I understand. Controversy and loud things get people's attention. I mean, just look at the rant and excuses he went on earlier. But he squandered his chance. This is mine. And if you want to be honest, I deserve this. I honed my craft this last year to turn myself into a better wrestler and a better man than I used to be. I been to battles and even wars in the last year and I've always been the last man standing. Because that's what I do. I persevere and I keep going. Which is exactly what i'm gonna do tonight
Seth looks towards the curtain and turns his back on Renee Young. He looks back to her one more time
[Seth Rollins] I'm not gonna lie. Strowman is a huge obstacle and I'm gonna have to throw everything at him to get the job done. But that's okay, cause that's what I do best. I get the job done. I would have done it at Cyberslam. I'm gonna do it now. And more importantly, I'm gonna do it against Broken Matt and take the title I've wanted for so long. If you don't believe me, just watch and be amazed
Seth grins and walks through the curtain. As he disappears you hear the crowd get off their feet for the Architect!
World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Match
The crowd has lost their mines as Seth crawls off of Strowman, the victor!
[Mauro Ranallo] Did you see that?! Mama MIA! That curb stomp on the chair was the end for Strowman!
[Corey Graves] I can't exactly fault Seth. It was gonna take a drastic move like that to keep Strowman down
Seth finally stands up and fist pumps towards the crowd. He ascends the top rope and holds his hands high into the air as the crowd's approval washes over him. This is Seth's moment! This is his time! And as Seth is caught in the moment he doesn't even see it coming
[Mauro Ranallo] Seth! Don't turn around!
But Seth can't hear Mauro. He hops off the top rope, big smile on his face, and has his head damn near caved in by a vicious chair shot! One moment Seth is on top of the world and the next he's staring up at the ceiling. The holder of the chair grins down upon Seth. Edge. The crowd, who already hated Edge's guts earlier in the night, are livid with the Rated R Superstar who doesn't look like he could care less. He holds the chair high into the air for the crowd to boo. Seth has rolled over and is crawling slowly, trying to get to the ropes. His forehead has been cut open by that savage chair shot. Edge looks down and gets an irritated look on his face. As if Rollins has the audacity to be moving. Edge shakes his head and raises the chair high above his head
[Corey Graves] Edge is losing his mind right now
[Mauro Ranallo] Someone needs to stop him!
Edge brings the chair down on the back of Seth who cries out in pain. Edge, liking the sound, does it again. And again. And again! Edge is trying to break the chair in half over Seth Rollins' back! Seth has stopped moving and Edge throws the chair out of the ring. Edge finally having enough goes to leave through the ropes, but stops. He looks at Rollins and the sadistic look of the Rated R Superstar returns
[Mauro Ranallo] Oh come on, he's had enough Edge!
Edge seems to disagree because he has Seth's hair in his hands and is lifting him on to his feet. Edge whips Seth into the ropes as hard as he can. As Seth rebounds he is damn near broken in half by a spear from Edge! Edge crawls to Seth's level and begins to scream into his face
[Edge] I AM BETTER THAN YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I'M THE BEST DAMN WRESTLER ALIVE AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ON MY LEVEL KID!
With that Edge gets up and starts to beat his chest rapidly, much like Rollins does. From the response of the crowd Edge is easily one of the most hated wrestlers in XWL. But Edge doesn't care. Instead XWL goes to commercial break the last image being Edge standing over Seth's broken body
After that elbow to the side of Broken Matt's head, Hardy begins clutching his eye; That elbow from the Undertaker held just enough force to slam into Hardy's eye. Undertaker, being the veteran and seeing Hardy's pain, lays in the assault. Undertaker grabs Hardy by his hair and launches him into the corner and begins raining down fists to the Broken King. Left after right, right after left, Hardy was defenseless as the best pure striker in XWL began to focus on Matt Hardy's head and each punch was aimed for the eye that got hit by a elbow. Hardy made attempts to block, but Undertaker was making no room and was moving to fast for all the hit to be blocked by Matt; some got through. Eventually the ref made his way between him and the god and King and pushed Undertaker from Matt. Undertaker falls back into a corner and waits.
After that assault in the corner from the Undertaker, Broken Matt Hardy, began checking his eye as the ref checked on him and asked him if he could still fight. After a few touches to the eye to check and find out if he can see, his vison in the focused eye returned-- maybe a blessing from the Seven Deities? Also, after checking his eyes, Matt had a new found flame, like he was fresh and ready to go again. Feeling this energy, the ref pushes away the ref with wide eyes and he screams "DELETE" and moves his hand in the chant form. The ref backs up as Matt stares at the Phenom standing across the ring who is staring right back into his soul. At this moment the fans are in a frenzy and a majority are on their feet screaming "DELETE" over and over again. With both men on their feet and ready to fight, we get back underway.
Spoiler:
[Mauro Ranallo] Matt Hardy getting his feet on the ropes. He has survived yet another Tombstone.
[Corey Graves] This is an age old battle that has been bound to happen for millennia, Mauro. These beings will probably take all night. And we still will not have a victor.
As Matt got his foot on the ropes, Undertaker gets up from his corpse in pure anger-- time and time again, Matt had kicked out or gotten close to the ropes. Undertaker, was very unamused by what has transpired thus far in this match, each time both competitors have gotten so close to victory and something has happened for one of them to kick out. In this anger the Undertaker was now finished playing with Hardy- now he wanted his soul-- he wanted to get to business. Undertaker got to his feet and saw Matt Hardy crawling back to his feet. Undertaker, slides the straps off his shoulders and calls for the end.
After this taunt, Broken Matt Hardy is getting back to his feet. Hardy whips around and bumps into the Undertaker who is ready to end the match. Face to face once more Matt Hardy picks up his hand and throws it out and yells "BOW BEFORE ME, PEASANT" and smacks the Undertaker across the face. To this the Undertaker is enraged even more and his eyes roll to the back of his head in anger. Undertaker, having enough grabs Hardy to prepare for a final Tombstone, but Hardy slips out. Hardy goes for Broken Fate, but no Undertaker throws Hardy into the ropes. Hardy bounces off and met by the Undertaker with his hand slapping around his throat. Undertaker had the Broken King by the throat, with this Undertaker does his cut throat once more staring eye to eye with Matt Hardy. Undertaker lifts Hardy up
BROKEN FATE!
Hardy out of nowhere hit BROKEN FATE, but it seemed Undertaker got a little bit of that Chokeslam in too because Hardy writhed in pain as Undertaker laid at his side. Both men were side by side when they fell and the way they did fall when Hardy hit Broken Fate and Undertaker with the partial Chokeslam both men landed with a hand covering each other's chest and both shoulders on the mat. It was a double pin and the ref was confused to this sight. The fans were going nuts to what just happened and the current situation. The ref, only knowing one thing to do, drops down to the mat and counts
1
2
3!
The match is over, but both men pinned each other! This is absolutely insane! The ref is confused, but it just happened and the fans are jumping and screaming with joy. This was freakin' awesome, and the fans loved it. The fans started chanting "this is awesome" because this almost never happened. This was rare-- a gem. As both men got to their feet, the official and the ring announcer had a short conversation, before this match was decided.
[Lillian Garcia] Ladies and Gentlemen, as the ref counted to three, both competitors shoulders were on the mat. The official has made his decision and has called this match to be a DRAW.
With the result of this match decided, the fans exploded-- some were upset, others happy. However, one thing was certain: Undertaker and Broken Matt were on another level and they left everything in the ring. This wasn't the last time they were going to meet either, no a war was on the horizon, but how long would they have to wait? With this match concluded, we head to our next segment.

{Mauro Ranallo} Oh my god Corey, a huge wasteland to JBL on the outside, it's gotta be over here!
{Corey Graves} I can't believe I'm saying this Mauro, but I think you may be right.
JBL is laid out after taking a devastating wasteland on the outside and Irish whipped into the ring. The crowd is going crazy after seeing barricades shattered, announce tables broken, and a great main event so far. Barrett is walking towards the ring as the crowd explodes in excitement when suddenly...
RKO OUT OF NOWHERE!!!
{Mauro Ranallo} What the hell?! What is Orton doing out here?
{Corey Graves} It seems he's taking out some anger that Barrett caused earlier tonight Mauro.
Wade Barrett hits the ground head first courtesy of an RKO from Randy Orton. While Barrett was busy getting JBL back into the ring he hadn't realized Orton had made his way through the crowd and to the ring. The referee rings the bell to end the match as Virgil rolls into the ring and helps JBL to his feet and handing him the Intercontinental Championship. The referee leans over the ropes signaling for Lillian Garcia to announce the end of the match, but as he turns around...
CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!!!
The referee folds in half and flips backwards into the ropes. Virgil uses his foot to push the referee out of the ring as Orton picks up Barrett and rolls him into the ring under the bottom rope. Orton climbs in as JBL turns to see what "game" the newest member of the cabinet caught for him. JBL outreaches his hand as Orton does the same and the proceed to shake hands before both turn their attention back to Wade Barrett. JBL points at Barrett as Orton and Virgil, almost as if reading his mind, step forward closer to Barrett. They roll him over and sit him up on his knees. As he begins to come-to JBL makes his way closer to the "winner" of tonight's Main Event. JBL leans over Barrett and grabs Barrett's face.
$JBL$ You honestly thought you'd win? Son I'll make it to where you can't even compete!
JBL slaps Barrett in the face as a huge "OOOOOOOOOH" is heard throughout the arena. JBL steps backs and motions for Barrett to get to his feet as Orton and Virgil raise him up. JBL gets in Barrett's face one last time...
$JBL$ I AM A WRESTLING GOD!
JBL kicks Barrett in the gut causing him to bend over as Orton and Virgil let him go and JBL shoves his head between his legs. JBL ready to pull this thorn out of his side for good leans forward to wrap his arms around Barrett's legs but before he could grip his arms together JBL is raised into the air over Barrett's head and lands on the mat with a thunderous thud. The crowd is going crazy. Barrett used all the strength he had to throw JBL and end this charade. He turns around just in time to see Virgil running towards him when out of nowhere...
BULL HAMMER!!!
{Mauro Ranallo} Virgil is out! He won't be waking up anytime soon.
{Corey Graves} Come on Mauro, what does that prove? Virgil doesn't even compete.
Virgils lifeless body falls to the mat as The crowd erupts even louder into cheers. Now all that stands is Wade Barrett and Randy Orton. They stare down before Orton throws the first right hand punch to the side of Barrett's head. But wasting little time Barrett come back with a left of his own. The men begging going back and forth throwing punches. Orton, Barrett, Orton, Barrett, Orton, Barrett, Orton, Barrett, finally it ends with Barrett picking up Orton and hoisting him onto his shoulder out of nowhere.
{Corey Graves} He's setting up the Wasteland! He's about to single handily take out the most dominant faction in XWL.
{Mauro Ranallo} It's about time someone teach them a lesson Corey.
Wade and Orton struggle as one is trying to hit a devastating maneuver while the other is trying to prevent it. A few seconds pass before Orton somehow get out of Barrett's grip and land on his feet behind him. Orton shoves Barrett into the ropes, he comes flying back as Orton ducks...
CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!!!
{Mauro Ranallo} Oh my god Corey, he just folded him in half!
{Corey Graves} JBL is not about to let Barrett's "crimes" go unpunished.
The crowd All begin to boo as it just seemed Barrett was snapped in half. JBL stays kneeled on one knee looking over at Barrett. Orton walks over and reaches out his hand. JBL grabs hold and Orton helps him stand and hands him the Intercontinental championship he just picked up off the mat. As JBL takes it his eyes are still locked on Barrett. He continues to look at him until he finally looks at Orton and says...
$JBL$ Finish it.
Orton nods knowing what he needs to do. He walks to the corner opposite or Barrett and grabs the ropes. He begins stomping the mat and leaning forward, ready for the kill. The crowd is going crazy and booing all at the same time as they are about to see the Punt Kick. Orton begins getting more and more antsy as JBL just watches on emotionless. Finally it seems Barrett is beginning to stir. Orton as well as the rest of the XWL universe know what this means. Orton sees his opportunity. He releases the ropes and begins to run...
{Layla} Hold it right there Randy!
Randy stops dead in his tracks and turns to the ramp as an angered JBL does the same. A few moments pass before Layla walks out onto the stage mic in hand.
{Layla} That's about enough from all of you. I expected better of you, but it seems you all want to act like animals. Tonight's Main Event has been ruined, and it seems there's no way for me to have the match restarted because I see it impossible for Wade to compete tonight. Therefore I'm making it official right now. Next week there will be a rematch between John and Wade for the Intercontinental Championship, and because this is between champion and challenger, there's no need for The Cabinet to be ringside, not after what just took place...so sorry John but they're banned from ringside!
The crowd explodes in excitement. JBL and Orton begin cussing and yelling at Layla showing that they believe "this isn't fair". Layla ignores them before turning around and walking backstage.
{Mauro Ranallo} What an Announcement Corey! JBL's Cabinet will have to watch from the back next week as their leader defends against Bad News Barrett!
{Corey Graves} I believe JBL will prove yet again why he's Champion by beating Barrett for the hundredth time Mauro...
JBL and Orton are still irate. But JBL has had enough. He's ready to go backstage and "speak" to the Anarchy GM. He turns around...
BULL HAMMER!!!
JBL drops to the ground, lifeless. Orton turns to see him land and looks up towards Barrett, but before he even has time to think Barrett drops to the matt and rolls out of the ring. Orton kneels beside JBL but continues to stare Barrett down as he makes his way up the ramp, laughing at the "Wrestling God" before Anarchy comes to an end.
