STATISTICS

Most Reigns: 2 (Sheamus, Bray Wyatt & Leo Kruger)
Longest Reign: 189 Days (Leo Kruger)
Most Defenses: A lot. (Leo Kruger)

1.) Sheamus [1]

Won: 1-18-2016
Defenses: 0
Lost: 2-22-2016
Days Held: 35

After weeks of anticipation, Seth Rollins finally abandonded a four way to leave three other men to fight over "his" title. As weeks would lead up, Seth was to clash with Sydal, Aries and Sheamus. This would fall through, leading to Seth dropping from the match. This match would still go on for the belt, allowing Sheamus to become the first champion since the return to XWL. Setting the standard, he would hold it up until Cyberslam.

2.) Matt Sydal [1]

Won: 2-22-2016
Defenses: 0
Lost: 3-14-2016
Days Held: 21

So, Matt Sydal won the four way and boy will he tell you about it. Sydal after months of hunting down the IC Title he came into the fatal four way, determined to win. Sure enough he did in quite the climatic ending. Sydal would go on to rant and rave until losing the belt to Sheamus in a ladder match, ending the reign before it could truly begin.

3.) Sheamus [2]

Won: 3-14-2016
Defenses: 1
Lost: 6-6-2016
Days Held: 84

Regaining his belt for his second run as the champion, Sheamus would beat Sydal on a weekly event of Anarchy in a ladder match. The Celtic Warrior would go on to battle not only Sydal, but also a new challenger, Eric Young. The trio would clash at Final Stand in a TLC match, which would end with Sheamus retaining. Looking to the future, Sheamus has Raven coming in a few weeks to challenge for the belt. Will Sheamus be able to defeat the hardcore icon? Only time will tell.

4.) Raven [1]

Won: 6-6-2016
Defenses: 0
Lost: 7-4-2016
Days Held: 28

On such a cryptic date, a cryptic figure in XWL would win the XWL Intercontinental Championship from the Celtic Warrior. Coincidence? It's debatable. Despite omens, Raven walked into a match of his design and walked out with the belt, with just a bit of help from the Messiah of Darkness, Bray Wyatt. This would lead Raven into defending his new found belt in a four way against Sheamus, Bray Wyatt and Wyatt's new rival, CM Punk.

5.) Bray Wyatt [1]

Won: 7-4-2016
Defenses: 1
Lost: 8-8-2016
Days Held: 35

XWL has seen some dark days but maybe none darker than the Intercontinental Championship Reign of Bray Wyatt. During one of the hotest times for the belt, Bray Wyatt carried the belt to prestige, giving it a darker tone, having built a family around the power the belt gave. Wyatt would slay Austin Aries to give himself one defense. Later, Wyatt would meet with Leo Kruger setting up the next match for the prestigous belt.

6.) Leo Kruger [1]

Won: 8-8-2016
Defenses: 0
Lost: 9-5-2016
Days Held: 28

Dark days with Bray Wyatt were considered quite demented, but none can predict what the reign of Leo Kruger will bring. Having already slayed the Eater of Worlds once, the duo will clash once more at Emergence, determining who the real King of Fear is.

7.) Bray Wyatt [2]

Won: 9-5-2016
Defenses: 0
Lost: 9-12-2016
Days Held: 7

Emergence is over and the dust seems to be settling around all but one rivalry. This being the Intercontinental Championship rivalry between Leo Kruger and Bray Wyatt. Though the title has jumped back and forth between the two, Wyatt took his claim at being the Face of Fear on the big stage. The battle is far from over as Kruger is out for blood, looking for a shot to reclaim his gold, and finish Wyatt off once and for all. In a historic Hell in a Cell match, the first ever on Anarchy or XWL weekly programming, we finally get to see what all this war will bring.

8.) Leo Kruger [2]

Won: 9-12-2016
Defenses: 2
Lost: 3-20-2016
Days Held: 189

Leo Kruger wasted no time in claiming his rematch clause as he and Bray Wyatt battled inside Anarchy's first ever Hell in a Cell match to put an end to their rivalry to determine the true undisputed Intercontinental Champion and the true Master of Fear. In a twisted turn of events, Sister April cost Wyatt the IC title inside Hell in a Cell, leaving Leo Kruger the victor as he now stands alone a top the mountain of fear as the Intercontinental Champion. Without Wyatt finally behind him, Kruger would go on to put down his former SOOL affiliate Cactus Jack to earn his first title defense at Roulette and now Kruger awaits for the 2K17 Season Premiere of Anarchy to continue his reign of terror.

9.) Sami Zayn [1]

Won: 3-20-2017
Defenses: 0
Lost: 4-17-2017
Days Held: 35

Leo Kruger sat at the top of mountain for a long while, until an old foe reared his orange haired head. Sami Zayn, the underdog from SOOL reappared in Kruger's side, becoming a thorn very quickly. Sami had to overcome several obstacles just to get to the biggest of them all, The Hunter. Leo Kruger and Sami Zayn clashed inside a Steel Cage at Final Stand IX to crown Sami as the victor. Finally, the underdog did it.

10.) John Bradshaw Layfield [1]

Won: 4-17-2017
Defenses: 0
Lost: N/A
Days Held: N/A

Though it was a short lived run, it was seen as a particularly well deserved one. Sami Zayn declared his title would be placed on the line against anyone at anytime. His challengers?
JBL and Bad News Barrett. They would face off to decide who would clash with the champion first, and JBL would take the spot. With it, he took the gold, crushing the hopes and dreams of Sami Zayn. At least, for now. For on the horizon another chance for Sami and a chance for Barrett wait, at Downpour.
