Subject: XWL Prediction Contest IX: Hell In A Cell! (New Rules READ BEFORE POSTING) Fri Oct 06, 2017 4:40 pm
Hello everyone and welcome back to the XWL Prediction contest. I'm going to be taking over and doing these every month. For something fun to do for everyone on the board. For now I will be covering just the main WWE PPV's but I may expand to takeovers in the future. With that said sit back and enjoy the next event. As we all know, Hell In A Cell is this Sunday night at 8 pm EST/5 pm PST. So with that brings the XWL's 9th Predictions contest. The winner will receive twenty-five points towards our Perks Store for the superstar of your choosing and as always you'll earn five (5) points towards the Perks Store for your chosen superstar for simply filling out your predictions. I'll be posting the cards for the event
Here's how this works:
-For each match you will assign a confidence point to represent how confident you are in your choice. -For this event there's 8 matches total so points MUST range from 1 to 8. No repeating numbers. -For each correct match you'll earn the corresponding number of points. -Each correct bonus prediction will earn you one point.
The member with the most points will be declared the winner and will receive 25 points towards the perk store for their chosen superstar.
REMEMBER TO PUT IN YOUR POST WHICH SUPERSTAR YOU WANT YOUR MINIMUM 5 POINTS TO GO TO.
Deadline for predictions is Sunday October 8th at 7pm EST before the pre-show begins. So if you would like to edit your predictions you may do so until that time.

Normally when a match gets changed I tend to throw things out. However since Corbin won, and a few of you predicted that correctly, I can do oen of two things.
1) Throw the match out, adjust the points accordingly, and go from there. 2) Ignore that tie is in the match and just count those who got it correct with Corbin winning.
I need as many responses as possible so I can sort out results relatively soon.

I think toss it. Personally i picked AJ cause there was no way Corbin was pining him. If i knew tye was in it it would have swayed my opinion

A few people have some bonus points and that's why the scores are a bit higher. Looks like we have a tie again between Oreo and Plus. Both of you have earned 25 points towards your chosen superstar for the perks store.
Going to start counting bonuses more often to help diversify the point outcomes/stop tie's from happening. So feel free to start including any bonus questions you may think up with the next event. As before, each correct bonus, will be worth one additional point.

I'd suggest having incorrect guesses be subtracted from the score, and nixing bonus questions because too many times people predict things that honestly aren't that difficult to predict and aren't defined enough such as "Shane does something crazy" or the breakup of a team that has been teasing it for a month. Idk I feel like there's a correct way to do bonus predictions but too many too many times have just kind of abused that idea. Just my two cents.
