[J.R]: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is J.R Jim Ross, Jerry The King Lawler and Michael Cole and we welcome you to Breakdown!

[King]: You timed it just right because CM Punk is making his way down to the ring as we speak and later on tonight we get to see one of the most talked about matches in the history of this company once again live on Breakdown!

[J.R]: Not only that, tonight we bring past matches from over the years featuring the likes of Ted Dibiase, Dolph Ziggler, Stone Cold Steve Austin and this man's opponent tonight: The Rock!

[Cole]: On top of that, tonight we bring you the Slammy Awards! This once a year special event will see superstars take away awards such as Superstar of the Year, Feud of the Year, Diva of the year and much, much more. We all know I will be walking away with a few of my own tonight, especially commentator of the year.

[King]: There isn't a commentator of the year award you idiot...

[Cole]: Only because there is no contest and to make it fair on you two clowns.

*By the time King and Cole have finished their bickering, CM Punk has made his way inside the ring and grabbed himself a microphone. He looks around at the capacity crowd before sitting down in the middle of the ring.*



[[Punk]]:: The time has come, the time of year that everybody has been working hard for over the past year to prove their worth, to give their contributions to this company some meaning and make all of their efforts worth while. People may not admit it in the back, they will deny it when they are asked but inside every single person backstage is like a little boy at the dance, hoping, just praying that the girl that he likes will walk across to him and make his night. Sadly for most of the people tonight they won't get what they want, the girl of their dreams won't notice them, in fact I'm fairly sure that she doesn't even realise that they exist. So many people here tonight will be leaving empty, with their soul crushed and their hearts broken and while nearly everyone is hoping that their name will be announced I do not.



[[Punk]]:: This is a night to celebrate the past, this is a night where past rivalries are reignited, many of the matches that you are going to see here tonight are from past pay-per-view events, they were matches that stole the show, they were matches that tore the house down and were given grand reviews wherever they were watched. Tonight we go back in time and we celebrate these matches, we celebrate the matches that made this company's history so great, where every person who stepped through these ropes but everything that they had on the line to try and come out the victor. It was these matches that make people continue to tune in to XWL broadcasting, no matter what drama was unfolding behind the scenes whenever people stepped into this ring you all left with something to remember and you people will once again be leaving with something to remember because tonight, one more time you we see CM Punk vs The Rock.



[[Punk]]:: For over a year me and Dwayne at one anothers throats, which is funny because when you think about it when I came out and sat on that stage at Digital Decision he didn't want to know me, Dwayne couldn't care less who I was at that time, I was surprised that he could even see me he was so high up on his horse because to Dwayne CM Punk wasn't a threat, to Dwayne CM Punk was just a guy who has more mouth than brains and that I was biting off more than I could chew but he chose to engage me, then you people were gifted with your dream scenario of two of the best talkers in this industry having a war of words but at the end of the day Dwayne didn't think anything would come of it, he thought that would be the last that he would see of me and despite the great efforts of the XWL Management I made it so that it did happen.



[[Punk]]:: Because that little punk who sat on that stage and interrupted Dwayne during his lame shtick hour wasn't in any right to share the building, let alone the ring with “The Rock” or at least that's what he thought. Some punk kid, with one too many tattoos but little did he know that I would prove every single one of my claims true, I mean it's not like I've been doing that ever since I walked into this company but once again I proved everything that I said to be true, I told the World that I was going to be King of the Ring, I sat in this ring and I told every person that it doesn't matter who I face in the draw, it doesn't matter how good they believe they are that it would all end the same and that was with CM Punk being crowned the King of the Ring. Chris Jericho, Evan Bourne, former World Champions fallen by my hand and I made the World pay attention, more importantly I made Dwayne realise the fact that CM Punk is a threat.



[[Punk]]:: Fast forward, despite everybody begging and urging to see the match it didn't happen, The Rock Vs CM Punk remained a dream match while 'Berto was snatching up opportunity after opportunity but the time came, it wasn't what people wanted but finally The Rock and CM Punk were involved in the same match and the World Heavyweight Championship was on the line, the only issue was it included four other individuals nipping at our heels to try and claim our prize. Eye for an Eye, one of the most brutal and barbaric structures that has ever been introduced to this industry, the Elimination Chamber, six men walk in and only one leaves with the World Heavyweight Championship. Ted Dibiase, Justin Gabriel, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, The Rock and CM Punk all fighting for the prize and despite being the first entrant into the Chamber, I walked out the World Heavyweight Champion and once again I proved everything I have said to be fact, I said that I was going to beat Dwayne, I said that I was going to leave World Heavyweight Champion and I stated and I proved that CM Punk is without a shadow of doubt the absolute Best Wrestler in the World!



[[Punk]]:: I have beaten the best, I have beaten people who think they are the best and now I am beating people who hope to be the best. Two of the so called “New Generation” down an while I would love to continue that little campaign the idea of The Rock vs CM Punk does sound a little more appealing to me because no matter what we do during the mean time, no matter who we fight, no matter how long it has been eventually we come across one another once again. No matter the scenario, whether I'm the bad guy or he's the bad guy we always give you people something to remember and people can try and say that this little rivalry has reached it's peak, that the spark has gone but at the end of the day, after everything that has happened between the both of us there is just too much history to just “Call it quits”.



[[Punk]]:: I'm sure there are people out there who have that idea in their heads that one day we will just shake hands and that will be the end of it but that little scenario is never going to happen. If you take away the history, if you take away all of the blood spilled, the battles fought and the bitter hatred, at the end of the day we will still be at one another because both of us are out to prove who is the best. If you take everything away, all of it, we will still never shake hands because that's not who we are. Dwayne is out to fight for what he thinks is right and to fight for his millions...

[[Punk]]:: Sigh... Fight for his... Fans. He done everything for the people, well at least he thought he was fighting for his people but the insane jealousy came up when the people weren't chanting “Let's go Rocky!” and instead were chanting the name “CM Punk, CM Punk!”. He tried to fight for all that, where as I was fighting to prove what I knew in my heart, that I was better than Dwayne Johnson. I was out to prove that I could beat the man that snubbed me at Digital Decision, I was out to prove that The Great One couldn't defeat the likes of me, that no matter who was put in my way I could beat them because there is not a living soul on this Earth who can go toe to toe with CM Punk. Not Dwayne, not Jericho, not the New Generation, there is nobody who can beat CM Punk.



[[Punk]]:: Tonight, I get to prove that fact once again. Despite over the past couple of weeks, beating people who have the momentum behind them, who have everybody claiming that they are the future of this company and labelled them the apparent “New Generation”. One by one they are falling, but tonight I prove the same old fact, the fact that I have been proving for over a year. We have the history, we have one of the most talked about of the rivalry in this company but only I have the results to show for it. Every time Dwayne and I step foot in the ring, it always ends the same and tonight it shall be no different. So Dwayne, bring everything you can, bring your eyebrow, bring your mil... Your fans and try your best to get the result that has eluded you for all this time but be prepared to suffer the same fate, that same nightmare that haunts your dreams because tonight you go one on one with CM Punk, tonight once again you will lose to the Best in the World because at the end of the day, no matter how much time has passed I am and will always be better than you!

*The crowd has mix emotions as Scott Hall walks down to the ring. They are still shocked at what happen last week.*

Hey Yo! Its about that time again and all of you know what it is. Its survey time. Is anyone in this arena tonight here for XWL?

Oh but wait this survey is not over yet. Did anyone enjoy that beat I give Goldust with the chair last week here on XWL.

Ok Ok. I understand but that weirdo needed a good smack with the chair. There are a lot of great talent in XWL but if they were they so great the in N.W.O. but anyway before I get of track here Goldust last week stopped me. He stopped me from get one more step to going for gold. He stopped me from going after the Intercontinental Championship. He stopped me from proving that XWL needs to put their best superstar where they need to be and leave the lower guys like Goldust at the bottom where they should be.

*As Scott Hall looks into the camera*

Hey you guys I see that you two want to tare each other apart tonight but it won't happen tonight. It will happen at November to Remember. So save all that anger for your opponents tonight and be ready for your match at November to Remember.



*As Stephanie smiles down at the ring Goldust and Scott Hall look at each other the camera fades to commercial.

-This very special edition of Breakdown returns from a quick commercial break and this crowd is as rowdy as ever and how could they not be? This is shaping up to be one of the greatest shows of the year and it’s all on free television!  From families to children to tipsy single-men, this is as diverse a crowd as you’ll ever see and they’re all packed into the arena to watch the unique blend of action and drama that you can only get in XWL.-



-A theme that hasn’t blasted through these speakers in what feels like forever hits, and the crowd couldn’t be more happy to see The Glamazon in an XWL arena again. Well, technically she was around last week, but she was too busy giving Kharma the business to properly address the people and better explain what incited her to make a surprise return.

Beth is all smiles when she steps onto the stage and begins making her way down the ramp, and if it wasn’t clear before how happy the people are to see her then them breaking out in a chant of her name should make things a bit more evident. Beth had a 2013 that wasn’t too shabby, and she could definitely build on that foundation launching her into an even more successful 2014.

In the ring now with a microphone in her hands, Beth waits for the noise to die down, but if she’s waiting for complete silence then she may be here all night. “Welcome back! Welcome back!” Are really all you can hear, but after the crowd begins to fizzle a bit, Beth seizes her opportunity and begins to speak.-

₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
Thank you! Thank you… Before I even say anything else I just want to express what a great feeling it is to finally be back and I….



-You can’t be serious… Beth barely got a complete sentence out and already Don West feels the need to come out here and interrupt her. Why, cause Beth embarrassed his client last week? Or maybe he just can’t stand it when the people are listening to anyone but him screaming into a microphone at the top of his lungs until it’s coated with his saliva.



Either way, things are about to get interesting now as Kharma’s theme is competing with the sound of the crowd’s disapproval for the loudest sound in the arena… an apt precursor for what could be an equally vicious battle for the title of the strongest, and baddest diva in XWL. After several seconds of Kharma’s unsettling music assaulting the people’s eardrums, Don West finally steps onto the stage with his only female client not too far behind him.

From their position on the stage and in the ring respectively, Kharma and Beth stare each other down, and if it wasn’t evident before, it should be crystal clear now that there’s absolutely no love lost between these women. They spent so much time beating on each other, you’d think that the hatred would be out of their systems, but it looks like they could duke it out for another couple of rounds. As the two representatives of The West Side Army walk down the ramp, West raises a microphone up to his lips, not one to waste any opportunity to get his two cents in.-

I don’t think you understand how this works Beth…

₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
Oh? So why don’t you explain it to me then?

Woah, woah, woah. I don’t think I like your tone, missy.

Come in here and do something about it, Don. Honestly, I’ve only been back a week and I’m already sick of hearing you and your big fat mouth. I can’t only imagine how these people have lasted these long and I feel sorry that they don’t have the ability to put you on mute like the lucky people at home can. I wouldn’t wish having to listen to you yap on and on about absolutely nothing on my biggest enemy, yet there she is, right behind you living in the shadow of yet another manager. I guess she didn’t learn her lesson from last time.

₸Don West ₸
Are you done yet? Gosh, women these days… I’ll have you know that Kharma did not, in fact, make the same mistake twice when she accepted my help in turning her career around. Thanks to women like you, people were under the impression that Kharma wasn’t the most dominant force that XWL has ever seen, when that just simply isn’t the case. Kharma is unlike anything wrestling has ever seen, yet this company, and the people in it, were treating her like she was everyday trash. But her name isn’t Torrie Wilson, Maria or Kaitlyn, she’s better than those them, she’s above every women in this company and I think people are starting to understand that a little better the longer she stays by the side of a manager who actually knows what she’s doing.

And just what exactly have you done for her, Don, huh? I don’t see the Diva’s Championship around her waist like it was once around mine. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, she’s being overshadowed by the likes of AJ Lee, Madison Eagles, and a dear old friend of mine in Layla. No matter how you try to spin it, Don, Kharma has gone nowhere since aligning herself with you and your precious little army. She’s a background player in this division; always has been and always will been.



₸Don West ₸
A background player? Are you kidding me? Perhaps you missed it while you were at home settling into your new position of being a housewife, but at The Monster Bash, with my guidance, Kharma made one of the biggest impacts in the history of the division when she ended five careers in one fell swoop. Five, Beth, five! Do you not understand what that means? Five women are on the unemployment line because of Kharma; five women are watching their medical expenses sky-rocket because of Kharma; five women may never wrestle again because of what Kharma did to them and that’s not even counting Melina who has yet to be seen since Kharma knocked the extensions out of her head, or Aksana who hasn’t opened that pretty-little mouth of hers since Kharma drove her face into the mat with an Implant Buster. What Kharma did transcends being a champion. On any given Sunday she can waltz into a match and after dominating call herself a diva’s champion yet, teeny tiny AJ Lee, for instance,  can never do what Kharma did at The Monster Bash no matter how hard she tries and that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Hold on there for a second…. did you just say I was busy being a housewife? I took time off because I needed to take care of some personal issues along with some nagging injuries not because I was tending hand and foot to some man. I spent every waking moment in a gym or watching tapes because I knew that it was only a matter of time before I returned and I planned on picking up right back where I left off: dominating every diva in the division, and yes, Don, that list includes Kharma.

₸Don West ₸
Is that so? You stand there acting all high and mighty, yet I don’t think that it clicked in that pretty-little head of yours that the Kharma that is standing by me right here at ring side is not the Kharma you were lucky enough to take on in that ring in survive. That Kharma was misguided, lost, a wandering sould with no direction and it’s because of my efforts that the fire that made her a force to be reckoned with in Japan and TNA returned to her eyes.



₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
And that’s exactly why I came back, Don, because I didn’t like the fact the woman I beat, the woman that I put through a table, the woman that I embarrassed… was walking around here acting like she owned the place… like she forgot that it was only a weeks ago where she was a nobody in XWL, just fodder and a punching bad for the other women in this company. Contrary to what you may have yourself believe, I did see what Kharma believe, and at any other point in her career it would have been something, maybe at some other time it may have even been impressive but as far as I’m concerned it was just a case of being too little too late, and I’m sure these people stopped caring about her a long time ago.

₸Don West ₸
Yet you obviously cared, Beth. So much so that you crawled out of whatever hole you were in just so you could pop up out of the blue last week just so you could put your hands on my client for absolutely no reason. Actually, I’ll admit that I’m wrong on that count because I bet that you did have a reason: you were jealous that Kharma was getting all the attention. You were jealous that the spotlight was on her and not you, so just like any other petty woman, you decided that you needed to go out of your way to sabotage what she had built for herself and mooch off her success.

₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
Ha! You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried, Don. I came back for one reason and one reason only: to put Kharma in her place. Apparently our last encounter wasn’t enough, but I want to prove without a doubt who the better woman is. I’d say I did a pretty good job of that last week, but unfortunately for her that was only a warm-up.



₸Don West ₸
Hey! Are you really going to stand there and brag about what you did last week? You should be ashamed of yourself! You blindsided my client, caught her completely off guard and anyone with half a brain knows that if it were a fair fight you would have gotten creamed! But from your past history of getting other women to pretend to be Raisha Saeed, I thinks it’s safe to assume that you don’t like to fight fair, Beth.

₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
I’m glad you said that, Don, because Stephanie McMahon told me that I was free to have a match at November to Remember, so if it’s a fair fight that Kharma wants then she’s more than free to join me in that ring.

₸Don West ₸
Beth, please… November to Remember, is the night that Kharma and The West Side Army part ways and I promised the world that she would go out with a bang… beating you isn’t going out with a bang, Beth. It’s what she’s expected to do; you can consider it inevitable like rain, tax and Paul Heyman running his mouth about things nobody cares about.



₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
So after all that talk about how great Kharma is, you’re going to back out of this fight?

₸Don West ₸
I didn’t say, we were backing out. All I said was that beating you is to be expected of Kharma… but that doesn’t mean she can’t go right on ahead and do it anyway. You can consider it the appetizer before she moves on to the main course and desert later on in the show. So as far as your little challenge goes… you’re on!

-There’s a big pop from the crowd at the announcement of this rematch between two bitter foes. West nods in Kharma’s direction and with their message sent they turn and begin walking up the ramp.-



₸ Beth Phoenix ₸
I’m so happy to hear you say that, Don! But we’re not done here…

-There’s another pop, this louder than the last, and the anticipation builds for the imminent clash. Beth races out of the ring and charges up the ramp and immediately she and Kharma begin to trade blows. The boos and yays alternate depending on who’s landing the punch and soon a half dozen yays are heard in succession as the smaller Beth begins gaining the upperhand on Kharma.

Beth raced into the battle without fear and without regard for her own wellbeing to take on someone who has been a thorn in the side for XWL and the people couldn’t be more grateful as they begin chanting her name. They’re abruptly cut off by a wave of boos brought about by the sight of a dozen or so security officials racing out onto the scene to do damage control before anyone is seriously hurt before the big match at the Pay Per View.

Kharma manages to land a cheap shot as the security officials struggle to restrain a pissed off Beth, while the people scream out “Let them fight!” in the background. Kharma doesn’t put up a fight and instead smirks as she and West  walk away with Beth screaming out for Kharma so that can finish their fight, but it looks like that will have to wait until November to Remember…-

The former United States Champion is receiving a very warm welcome from the fans here in Houston as the members of the audience rise to their feet to greet one-half of the most decorated tag team in XWL history. Shelley steps onto the stage dressed in street clothes, with his half of the Ersatz Tag Team Champions wrapped snuggly around his waist, and he didn’t come alone. Under his arm is a familiar face in cardboard cutout Chris Sabin here to accompany Shelley as he walks over to the podium set up on the stage. Shelley stands the cutout up next to him, then he removes the championship from around his waist and places his coveted belt on top of the podium. Shelley taps the microphone tentatively before clearing his throat and leaning closer to it.

Is this on? Testing… testing….

At just the sound of Shelley’s voice, the crowd gets all hot and bothered and before you know it “Motorcity” is being shouted out by nearly everyone in the arena. Shelley grins, and leans casually on the podium before he begins to speak.

Before I begin, I just want to try something out. *clears throat* Millions!

“AND MILLIONS!”

Hey, that was pretty cool. But I, or rather, Cardboard Chris and I... we didn’t come out here to imitate The Rock.. though I guess that’s CM Punk’s thing now. We didn’t come out here to beat Chris Jericho in another battle of the bands or play video games. We’re just out here to shoot the breeze; after all, who better to speak during XWL’s fifth year anniversary than The Motor City Machine Guns, eh? I mean, sure, we weren’t really around the first three years, but better late than never, am I right or am I right? And man, what a wonderful two years it has been so far. Just think about it: this year alone we went hunting for Wolves, had a little fun with our good friend, The Miz, I got to spend some quality time with the United States Championship and… well, that’s not too shabby for two guys nobody saw a future in.



{Alex Shelley}
This year I showed that Alex Shelley is more than a tag team guy. Even though Chris here will always be my best friend, I showed that I wasn’t living in his shadow or riding his coattails. I proved that I can get the job done on my own, and who says that the Cinderella run has to end with the United States Championship? But that’s another story for another day, because as far as tonight goes I’m not even booked for a match. It’s a real shame too, because when you think of Alex Shelley you don’t just think of the cool moves, nice tights, amazing hair or unparalleled sex appeal among my male and female counterparts… No, the first thing you think of is the laundry list of classic matches I’ve had over the months that are right up there with the best XWL has ever seen.



{Alex Shelley}
There was that time I wrestled Kurt Angle on a little show called Final Stand, no big deal really, and it was in an Ultimate Submission match, no less. But I guess to have a rematch they’d have to pull him out of whatever abyss he fell into. However, back when he was around I’d like to think our match was so good that it inspired Chris Jericho to fight Daniel Bryan in the very same match. Just picture it, Jericho home alone on a Friday night flipping through the channels- not too hard to imagine really- until something catches his eyes. He pauses, completely astonished and in awe of the beauty he’s witnessing until Alex Shelley wins and drapes an American Flag over his fallen foe. Jericho snaps out of it and thinks, “Damn, that Alex Shelley is something special.” After all, it wouldn’t be the first time Jericho stole something from me, from starting a band, to using that nifty little codebreaker of his, and if there’s anyone I’m proud to have idolize me, I’m glad it’s him.

I did more than humor old man Angle, of course. Who could forget that one time Kenny King and I beat the snot out of each other just because we both wanted to be United States Champion? Ah, how simple the motivations of a man can be. But to have that rematch they’d have to pull him out of whatever abyss he fell into. Wait, wait… I remember: earlier this year The Motor City Machine Guns fought The American Wolves in what was a hell of a match… But to have that rematch they’d have to pull them out of whatever abyss they fell into. Hold on, I think I got it… there was that really hot fan I “wrestled” after a particularly trying night. There’s no footage - that she knows of - but I can promise you that it happened. I forgot where I put her number though, so I guess for that rematch to happen… well I think you know where I’m going with this. It would appear that I don’t have the best track record when it comes to old opponents, so I can understand the trouble the suits in the back had in squeezing me in for a go round in the ring tonight.



{Alex Shelley}
It’s for the best anyway, I’m a little jet-lagged from my journey to Japan and while I would love nothing more than to get into that ring and show you people what great wrestling looks like, a night off never killed anybody… though Curt Hawkins once said he was going on a little break and I haven’t seen him since… poor guy. The one match that means a lot to me, though, is the three states of hell gauntlet match where Chris Sabin and I went above and beyond to show that these Ersatz Tag Team Championships meant so much to us that we were going to bust our asses in a match that affected nobody but us. These championships are our lifeblood, they’re the reason we get up in the morning and they’re why we’re still together hanging onto the little bit of hope we have left. Chris would have loved to make it here, but with him still not at 100%, doctors thought it best for him to not risk re-aggravating his injury and for just a little while longer you people are deprived of your Motor City Machine Guns. Until then, Cardboard Chris isn’t bad as a replacement. Hey, Chris, how you holding up? Miz, the guy you beat at The Monster Bash, mind you, though I’m sure a reminder isn’t needed, is walking around here with the World Championship… while you can’t even walk. How does that make you feel?

Shelley looks at the cardboard expectantly, then nods his head as if it actually said something.



{Alex Shelley}
It’s cool, I see where you’re coming from. A wise anthropomorphic animal once said that if you have nothing to say then you shouldn’t say anything at all. So I applaud you for taking the high road on that one sir, you can teach the men and women in the locker room a thing or two about class and professionalism in this industry. A lesser man would have went on and on about how Miz doesn’t know the difference between a figure four a four figure, but that’s not his fault because with his busy schedule he doesn’t have the time to be around women as much as when he was back on that reality show, or at least that’s the excuse he uses. A lesser man would just come right out and say what an intolerably huge douchebag he is who is only where he’s at right now because luck truly is for losers and nobody makes better use of it than him. But we are not lesser men, Chris; no, we are not. We are men of honor, and men of high moral fiber… heh, did you see what I did there? Men who would never…

Ever!  

{Alex Shelley}
Stoop to such a level….a-gayn. But tell me Chris, a lot of people are saying that you should be jealous of the fact that I have achieved single championship success while you’ve struggled time and time again to break through that class ceiling. Where do you plan to go from here?

Again, Shelley looks at the cardboard as if he’s really expecting it to reply and then nods in agreement as if it did.



{Alex Shelley}
Very clever, buddy. They say that silence is golden, and you know what else is gold? Championship belts. I guess it’s safe to assume where your intentions lay as far as your career is concerned come 2014. You know, people don’t give you enough credit, but there is actually a brain rocking around in that noggin of yours. Now, how about one more question for the road, huh? Can you please tell these fine people who spend their hard-earned money to buy your merchandise and strands of your hair to attach to their shrines, why you can’t seem to stay healthy? Just look into their eyes and feel the disappointment. Do you know how awkward it is when people stop me on the street to ask when you’ll be back? Usually my first reply is, “How did you recognize me with these glasses and fake mustache?” And then I have to admit that I just don’t know. So tell us, Chris, live on television, when the hell will you be back?

Shelley nods his head once again after a few moments of silence, as if he really believes that it's speaking to him. He taps the cardboard cutout on its shoulder a few times, almost to console it. Just as Shelley's about to speak once again, a voice is heard, cutting him off in the process.

Who said I even left?

The expression on Shelley's face says it all. A mixture of disbelief and amazement appears on his face and he begins to look around to see if anybody else heard the voice. He looks up for a moment, almost as if it was possibly a voice from the heavens before turning his attention to the cardboard cutout of his tag team partner. Realization sets in when he remains focused on the cutout as it appears to be where the voice came from.

{Alex Shelley}
You can talk!?

His eyes remain fixed on the cutout, almost expecting it to speak again. Many moments pass as silence fills the air, but Shelley's hope that the cutout will speak again doesn't seem to diminish, mouthing words of encouragement to it. The few seconds that pass must feel like an eternity to Shelley, who has all but lost hope. As time continues to pass, he lowers his head in disappointment because he couldn't get the cardboard cutout to speak again. Shelley raises his head up and just when it seemed he would attempt to speak a second time, he's interrupted once more, this time by his own theme.



The sounds of a gun firing repeatedly fills the air as the live audience in attendance begins to cheer almost out of impulse, causing Shelley to turn to his left, towards the entryway on the stage he's standing on. A surprised expression appears on his face as his eyes remain fixed on the entryway, unsure if the other half of The Motor City Machine Guns is really here or if someone is playing a cruel joke on him.

Moments of suspense and anticipation quickly come to an end as Chris Sabin walks out onto the stage, being held up by a pair of crutches on either side of him. Sabin stands on the stage as the “MotorCity” chants make a return for the time being, taking in the cheers from the crowd. Shelley is shown with a smile on his face before realizing that the cardboard cutout is in plain view and quickly tries to hide it behind his back. Sabin doesn't seem to have noticed it as he's too busy absorbing the energy of the live audience in attendance.

Sabin motions to Shelley, telling him to come to him. Shelley shrugs his shoulders, leaning the Sabin cutout on the side of the podium, and makes his way towards his returning tag team partner. After a few words are exchanged between them, Shelley motions to the crutches, but Sabin just waves it off, causing Shelley to nod. Without a moment to waste, Sabin tosses his crutches aside and stands back to back with Shelley. Both men extend an arm outward towards the ring in the shape of guns and simultaneously “shoot” the empty ring as a short burst of pyrotechnics fire off behind them in a blinding light that lasts for all of a split second. Without missing a beat, The Guns do their secret handshake before making their way back to the podium, with Sabin seemingly being the one to do the talking this time.



{Chris Sabin}
Where do I begin? I'm gone for a few weeks and now Miz is the World Champion? Last I remember, didn't I beat him on the Monster Bash Preshow a few weeks back? If he's the champion, and I beat him, shouldn't that make me next in line to challenge him for that very championship? A lot of questions but not many answers, sounds like an episode of Ask Sabin and Shelley. In my absence, I've noticed a few things, number one: Miz is the World Heavyweight Champion. Number two: You defended our Ersatz Tag Team Championships in Japan for the time ever, successfully might I add, with a partner that wasn't me. Contrary to what people would like to believe, I'm not mad at Alex, if the roles were reversed, I would have done the same thing.



{Chris Sabin}
Number three: There seems to be a few teams filling the ranks of our division, from unlikely duos like Cody Rhodes and Joey Ryan, to old favorites like D-Generation X, and even a variation of a classic known as the New World Order. Didn't we beat those guys before, Alex? Number Four: You keep a cutout of myself handy for when I'm away, even teaming with it at times, and successfully winning those matches. Guess I should get one of you, shouldn't I? And the final thing I noticed is that you don't have the United States Championship in your possession anymore. What happened?



{Chris Sabin}
The night that was supposed to be our one year anniversary as a team should be filled with celebration and triumph, but was instead filled with loss and a trip to the hospital. That hasn't stopped us before, nor will it stop us now. We have been through worse and we're still going, this is nothing more than a bump on the road back to the top. The Motor City Machine Guns have stuck by one another through thick and through thin, through the good and through the bad, through the ups and through the downs, and we're still standing. We have stood side by side for one year and still counting, we have outlasted any and every team that has been put across from us, and trust me when I say, we're just getting started.



{Chris Sabin}
Now that that's out of the way, why don't I get to why we're out here? I spent the past few weeks trying to think outside the box for something we could give back to this company since they were so generous to us over the past year. Then it finally hit me when I was looking for my half of the Ersatz Tag Team Championships before I realized it was on the other side of the world with you. Wait here, I got a special surprise, not just for you, but for these people.

With that said, Sabin leaves the podium and heads backstage, leaving Shelley and the Sabin cutout alone on the stage. Many seconds pass by and it doesn't appear that Sabin has gotten his surprise, so Shelley has to resort to speaking to the cardboard cutout for a bit before Sabin walks back out from behind the curtain with a box in hand. He makes his way back to the podium and places the box down.

{Chris Sabin}
I figured that since these Ersatz Tag Team Championships were such a big hit with the fans, why not try to repeat that success with this. You opened the box that held these championships, so why not let you open this box as well.



{Alex Shelley}
A gift for me? Oh, you shouldn’t have… because the Xbox One has yet to be released and, after all, it is the official video gaming system of XWL. However, this premature act of kindness aside, I would love to open this box right here and now, but where is the fun in that? Where’s the suspense? The excitement? The kind of stuff that has you on the edge of your seat? The same stuff that kept you on the edge of your seat just dying to know what happens next in movies like the Titanic and Gone with the Wind that have withstood the test of time for that very reason. Besides, you made some very valid points that I feel should be addressed. For instance, you believe you should be next in line for Miz’ championship, and given that you did beat him, a fact I feel must be stressed once more, you’re forgetting to take into account the several times Miz beat you. Factor in Del Rio’s rematch clause and subtract the time you spent on  the injured reserve, multiply that by the amount of time’s you’ve stolen the RKO divided by the cubed root of all the tears shed by the world when The Miz is on their television screens and it all adds up to you coming up just short of the threshold, pal. Sorry, but thems the maths.

Sabin opens his mouth to reply but stops himself before he can utter a single word. He looks up towards the ceiling, almost as if he's doing the math in his head. Sabin looks down towards his hands and begins using his fingers as a way of counting, mumbling incoherently to himself.

{Chris Sabin}
If I carry the...

Sabin's voice trails off until it becomes nothing more than another mumble. He raises his hand halfway into the air and begins to seemingly do equations with his finger meeting the air.

{Chris Sabin}
Now if I divide the...

His voice trails off once more, this time, the mumbling picks up for a few moments before it subdues and Sabin drops his head into his hands, almost in defeat. He raises his head back up and nods as he looks at Shelley before finally deciding to speak.

{Chris Sabin}
I'm not going to lie, you got me. It all makes sense, I don't know how I didn't see it before. Whoever taught you math must have been a great teacher. Maybe I should- Wait, “stole” the RKO? What are you trying to say?

{Alex Shelley}
All I’m saying is that it’s really suspicious that you go from gushing about how you want a shiny body like Orton’s, to using a move, and I’m not saying it’s the RKO – that was a poor choice of lettering on my part – but it’s a move that very closely resembles a jumping cutter. I don’t know how you thought the two were related, but I stopped trying to understand some things about you. Chris Sabin is who he is and that’s all right with Alex Shelley.



{Chris Sabin}
That goes both ways, I stopped trying to figure out your obsession with hair care products long ago. That and you carrying a cardboard cutout of me around whenever I get hurt, which, granted, has been quite a bit recently but you are who you are and that's fine with Chris Sabin. Guess that just leaves the opening of this box. I can't open it because who opens their own gift, I mean, really? And you have shown where you stand on the matter. So who's going to open it? You think your Cardboard Cutout Sabin would be up for it?

Suddenly and wordlessly, Sabin and Shelley take a step back from each other and engage in the most intense battle of rock, paper, scissors ever recorded on live television. Lightning dances between their eyes, beads of sweat form then descend down their faces, and when it’s all said and done… they both pick rock! Sabin and Shelley both hold their arms as if in pain, and Shelley breathes heavily into the microphone.

{Alex Shelley}
I ca.. I can’t go another round. Let’s just both open it.

Sabin is shown attempting to gather his breath as such a simple game seemingly has taken a lot out of him and pushed him to his limit. He places a hand on the podium to keep his balance as he and Shelley lock eyes once more, this time, not as intense as moments ago. Both men place a hand on the box, ready to tear it apart and reveal its contents.

{Chris Sabin}
Okay, on three.

{Alex Shelley}
One...

{Chris Sabin}
Two...

{Alex Shelley}&{Chris Sabin}
Three!

Both men pull on the box, ripping it open in the process. With a weight being lifted from both their shoulders, they let out a sigh of relief and high five in victory before turning their attention back to the now opened box.

{Chris Sabin}
We should probably take out what's in it. I mean, we just opened it, but the surprise is still in there.

Sabin reaches inside, but Shelley knocks his hand away then pulls out two trophies!



{Alex Shelley}
My-my, what do we have here? Ladies and , this may come as a surprise to you but it would appear that we aren’t only out here to waste time. We also have a duty to present to you the 2013 Slammy Award for… Tag Team of the Year! Ahem. Here are the nominees: The Road Warriors!

{Chris Sabin}
The team of Damien Sandow and John Morrison: The Saviors of Society!

The two men turn toward the cutout of Sabin as if expecting him to contribute. After several seconds the “real” Sabin blurts something out.

{Chris Sabin}
Speak up, they can’t hear you.

{Alex Shelley}
You can’t pressure him like that. He’s not too good thinking on his feet.

{Chris Sabin}
Guess I'll take this one then, but he better take the next or there's going to be problems.

Sabin goes to continue with the nominations, but is stopped in his tracks when he looks at the cardboard cutout of himself with a shocked expression on his face.

{Chris Sabin}
What did he just call me? Injury prone? I'll have you know-

He abruptly stops speaking as his focus is now completely on the cutout.

{Chris Sabin}
What do you mean you've won more matches than I have this year?

{Alex Shelley}
He has a point, I could go over the math with you if you wa…

Wham! Chris Sabin superkicked the head off the cutout! There’s an audible gasp from the crowd, and even a handful of people, who felt an emotional connection to the cutout boo for a few seconds.

{Alex Shelley}
I was afraid it would come to this, Chris. But luckily…

Shelley motions towards backstage and after a few seconds a backstage worker walks out with a new cutout! The crowd cheers, and the camera gets a close of the living, breathing Sabin who doesn’t look too pleased. The worker sets down the new cutout next to Shelley and carries the old, decapitated one backstage. The face of this Sabin, can’t be seen because there’s an envelope covering it. Shelley promptly rips it off and holds it in his hands.

{Alex Shelley}
Since tensions seem to be running a bit high on the stage, how about we just skip the nominations and get down to the meat and potatoes. Folks, in my hand is the winner of the prestigious slammy for tag team of the year!



{Chris Sabin}
How did—

{Alex Shelley}
Chris, please don’t ask silly questions. But since you were kind enough to let me open the box, I’ll let you open the envelope.

{Chris Sabin}
That sounds fair, but after we're done here, we need to talk about your seemingly endless supply of Sabin Cutouts.

Sabin looks at the envelope for a second before attempting to open it and it quickly becomes apparent that he can't seem to do just that. He struggles with it for a moment as the suspense slowly builds. Shelley is shown mouthing words to Sabin, who somewhat audibly is heard saying, “It won't open.” He looks out to the crowd and turns his back to them, sinking his teeth into the envelope in an attempt to open it. After a few seconds of fighting, he's able to rip it open and turns back around. Sabin sets the envelope down on the podium and reaches into his pocket, pulling out a case and opening it, retrieving a set of glasses from inside it. Shelley mouths some more words to Sabin, who is shown mouthing back, “I got this.”

He places the case near the envelope and puts the glasses on before picking up the envelope and opening it. Sabin looks at it for a moment, nodding his head every few seconds and closes it, placing it back down on the podium. He removes his glasses and places them back into their case then slides it back into his pocket.

{Chris Sabin}
And the winners of the Tag Team of the Year Award goes to...

Sabin opens the envelope once again, this time with a drum roll playing in the background.

{Chris Sabin}
The Kings of Wrestling?

Shelley takes a hold of the envelope and flips it over.

{Chris Sabin}
Thanks. The Motor City Machine Guns!

{Alex Shelley}
Wait, there’s an asterisk next to the name that says the team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin cutout…

{Chris Sabin}

Sabin throws up his hands in frustration and storms backstage while the crowd laughs. Shelley grabs the cardboard and raises it high in the air inciting the people to chant: Motor City one more time.

{Alex Shelley}
There are so many people I’d like to thank for this. First, I’d like to thank all the other teams for being so terrible, those who died along the way and those barely kicking... thank you for making us look amazing in comparison. Then there’s Chris, because without him there’d be no cutout. I’d like to thank whoever made The Ersatz Tag Team Championship because even I think they’re real sometimes. And more importantly than all of them, the biggest thanks of all goes to you: the people! Give yourself a big round of applause!

The people give themselves a standing ovation, and Shelley continue to scream out “Keep clapping!” as he slowly inches his way backstage. Suddenly, Sabin pops back out, grabs his partner by the arm and drags him backstage before Breakdown fades to a commercial break.

*As Breakdown returns from a commercial break the cameras go backstage as XWL superstar JTG is seen listening to music, Josh Matthews knocks on the locker room door.*


Josh Matthews: JTG???


JTG: Whatchu want bruh?


Josh Matthews: Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?


JTG: I guess, make it quick though I'm listening to Drake's new album.....


Josh Matthews: My first question is that you told me two weeks ago that we wouldn't see you for a while in the ring, yet you apparently got booked for a match against Seth Rollins and won. How do you feel after that win?


*JTG looks puzzled as he almost chuckles in laughter as he answers...*

JTG: How do I feel? Josh do you think I was scared to get in the ring?! You tryna say that I chickened out of my XWL debut?! Yo fo real I asked management 2 weeks ago if I could have a match and I did that to surprise y'all and I think it worked. I swear you white folks are so gullible. Honestly I don't care about Seth Rollins as far as I'm concerned he's just another stepping stone in my hustle to be the world champion. People have always doubted my ability to stay involved in something for a long time or they said I couldn't do it. They would always tell me "G, ain't this" or "G, ain't that" or "G, ain't no hitta." Well I proved my haters wrong and they gon' regret it.


Josh Matthews: When you look at your past growing up in a tough neighborhood are you grateful to be in this company and to be able to feed your young daughter in a nice environment? And has that changed you?

JTG: I honestly feel like I haven't changed. I mean growing up in the slums of the 'Brook I guess I got used to the toughness of being a professional wrestler. I am the best performer in this company but people have always doubted me or underestimated my ability. If the haters don't believe me than go watch the tape of me beating Seth Rollins's skinny punk ass in that ring and call me a fluke. I'm tired of people always taking advantage of me and stepping on me. All my life I have been neglected or doubted by my family and my closest friends. They be like "G, you ain't no wrestler, you just gon' end up in jail or end up in a grave boi." Well look at me now I got a good paycheck and I have a house to raise my daughter.



Josh Matthews: Okay last question, where do you see yourself as  profesional wrestler in the next 5 years?


JTG: In 5 years I think I will go down in this company as one of the greatest men to ever walk or talk in that ring. I see myself winning multiple championships and becoming a legend. I want to be that guy on a poster in a 10 year old's room, I want to be that guy waking up at 4 o' clock in the morning at the airport signing alot of autographs. I want to be the best performer that these fans have seen. And to all the people dissing on me for no reason, like Nas said "You can hate me now, but I won't stop now!"


*The camera fades out to the next scheduled match/segment*

The titantron lights up and shows none other then Diva of the Year and Diva feud of the year nominee, Kaitlyn, standing by backstage.

[Interviewer]
Ladies and Gentlemen, my guest at this time, Kaitlyn! Now Kaitlyn, I think it is safe to say that tonight is a pretty big night, wouldn't you agree?



[Kaitlyn]
Big night? Huge night if i'm being honest with you. This just isn't your regular episode of Breakdown, this is the Slammys Edition of Breakdown in celebration of five years of this company being around! The night couldn't be any bigger. Not only are we giving out the usual slammy awards that are awarded around this time every year, but we've got some big matches planned for tonight. Matches that are set to pretty much rewind history as most of the matches here tonight are matches that have happened at previous XWL events in the past five years. Personally, I'm looking forward to one match in particular but that's just me.

[Interviewer]
If I had to guess, I'd say it would be the ladder match you are set to compete in later tonight against the current XWL Divas Champion, AJ Lee!

[Kaitlyn]
You've got that right.

[Interviewer]
With it being a ladder match though, what will be hanging above the ring? Is tonight the night you are getting your one on one rematch for the Divas Championship?



[Kaitlyn]
Sadly it isn't, was kinda bummed myself when I heard that. When Stephanie told myself and AJ that we would be facing here tonight, the first thing I wanted to know was would it be fore that championship. Stephanie knows I want my rematch, she knows I deserve it, but I understood where she was coming from when she said that now just wasn't the right time for me to get my rematch for the championship.

[Interviewer]
Care to explain why tonight isn't considered to be a good time? I mean, it was a good time last year for you to get a shot, what makes this year any different?

[Kaitlyn]
Well, just take a look at the championship scene right about now. You've got Layla who earned a championship match at November to Remember and not only that, you have Madison Eagles who also has a rematch and I've been told she wants to use it soon. I want that title back, more then you can imagine, but I understand where Stephanie is coming from. The championship scene just doesn't really need me at the moment, so I've just got to wait my turn.

[Interviewer]
So what will the winner of the ladder match get?



[Kaitlyn]
Well, Stephanie made us this kinda random stipulation where the loser would have to be handcuffed to a diva of the winners choosing after November To Remember. Meaning if I won, I got to choose who AJ is handcuffed to and vice versa. And before you ask, I do know who I'd choose to handcuff AJ to and that is Layla. I'm sorry Layla, but this could just be too good to pass up. AJ on the other hand, no idea who she'd choose but if I had to guess, it would without a doubt be Maria.

[Interviewer]
And before this interview ends, any last words?

[Kaitlyn]
I guess I could wish AJ luck here tonight because a winner over her tonight would do me some wonders. Defeating the champion the week before she is set to defend her title, kinda makes you think who really should be the champion, right? But other then that, I'll catch you later, got to get ready for that big match and then I've got to get ready to knock the bitch out of Maria at November to Remember.

We then fade to the next segment.

Sami Zayn picks up Hero and begins to chop him and his chest begins to get red.

Micheal Cole: King! look at that Zayn taking one out of Hero's book!

Jerry Lawler : Go sami give him a taste of his own medicine!.

Sami Zayn barely picks up Hero and jabs him in the skull with his fist after he Irish whips him into the ropes and Hero reverses and hits the big boot!!

Ladies and gentlemen, here to present the award for Champion of The Year! Please welcome Ted DiBiase, and a special guest co-presenter, his brother Brett!





Ted's theme blares throughout the arena, the fans popping instantly, rising to their feet holding up signs in support of him. The cameras pan over to the stage where Ted DiBiase, along with his brother step out from the back and head towards the podium.



Brett takes a deep breath, nervous about this huge opportunity to present a Slammy alongside his brother, while Ted remains calm, waiting for his music to stop.




[JR]
Ted's time to become a champion could have been last week, but he allowed Edge to get in his head, and ultimately stopped him from claiming the prize that was The World Heavyweight Championship.

[King]
It can't feel too good to have to present the award for Champion of the Year given the fact that he almost became one at the end of last week's show, but at least he's got his brother alongside him to help him forget about that.

[Michael Cole]
Who cares anyways? This isn't about Ted almost becoming a champion, this is about celebrating those that actually did!


With Ted's theme cutting out, he clears his throat, nods to his brother to get ready, then moves in closer to the microphone.





[Ted DiBiase]
Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we're gathered here to celebrate yet another fantastic year for XWL, and all who were lucky enough to be apart of it. But this award, this award symbolizes those that truly defined what it meant to be a champion. They stood out from the rest, they conquered the best, and they reigned as the best. Though neither of the five nominees no longer can call themselves a champion, they made an impact during the time that they could be, and that is why we recognize them tonight.


[Brett DiBiase]
Hey, weren't you a nominee last year? Whatever happened to that?




Ted noticeably gets annoyed, but tries to hide it.

Ted quickly pulls his brother close, covering his mouth with an open hand, and whispering in his ear. "He's crazy" Ted mouths to the camera, but as Brett's released he lets out a "Okay Stud" mocking Ted for his apparent password. Laughing about it himself Ted places his arm around his brother, patting him on the chest as he addresses the camera.

As you can see my brother is quite the comedian.

John Morrison wins the slammy!

This young man has been quite the impressive one this year as he's defended his title countless times. He's really been one of the breakout stars this year in my opinion and I'm glad his earning some recognition.

[JR]
He's defeated people like The Rock, Christian, The Miz, the list goes on and on, he's certainly proven himself as a caliber champion.

[Michael Cole]
There were a lot of great nominees in the category but as much as I'm not a fan of his, the right man won. Will he appear though is the question we all want to know.

John Morrison's theme hits throughout the PA system and the crowd burst out into cheers. The former Intercontinental Champion hasn't been seen since his title defense against Roman Reigns and after that vicious assault, leading the fans to wonder if John will actually come out to accept his award. After one minute, there is no sight of The Shaman of Sexy and the cheers start to die down a bit, maybe he won't show up to accept his award after all. As the camera pans overhead, the crowd can be seen waiting anxiously while some have given up hope and right as many are starting to sit down... John Morrison steps right through the curtain in his most casual wear and the crowd's loud cheers return.



[King]
He's back and boy does he look great, it's like he hasn't missed a beat!

John Morrison stops at the top of the ramp and the camera closes up on his face. He is shown to smiling as the crowd chants "Morrison! Morrison! Morrison!". The former champion waste no time getting back into routine as he struts towards the center of the stage and does his signature pose as the fireworks shoot out from the sides of the stage. Morrison removes his glasses from his face and places them in his jacket as the camera finally shows his face, one can feel how happy John is to actually receive such an honor. He walks towards the podium where Ted holds the Slammy out and Ted hands it to him before the two share a brief hug. John does the same to Brett DiBiase before holding the Slammy up in the air as the crowd chants his name. John places it on the podium and steps up to the microphone, hesitating a bit before he speaks...

[John Morrison]: I honestly don't know what to say guys, I'm honestly flattered that I was voted to be the winner for the Champion of the Year Slammy. I don't want to be too cliché but I would sincerely like to thank my family, friends and coworkers for pushing me towards my dreams and never giving up on me but also I would like to thank the fans most especially for sticking to my side throughout my journey hear in XWL. Thank you guys. This slammy honestly isn't just an award to me but it's going to be a reminder to me of how much hard work pays off. I've been in this company since the very beginning, I've worked day and night to fight to where I am now, my whole life has been centered around my passion, wrestling and to receive this Slammy will only make me want to achieve more. Many great men have received this honor of being Champion of the Year, such as Shawn Michaels, the current Intercontinental Champion, and I know the future is bright, there's still a lot to accomplish in this business.

John Morrison pauses for a bit as the crowd applauds and resumes shortly after...

[John Morrison]: I've had a great journey as the Intercontinental Champion, it has truly defined my career here in XWL, I have beaten the likes of The Rock, Daniel Bryan, The Miz and Christian, each opponent teaching me something different about myself and I am grateful for these challenges. Sadly, my reign as Intercontinental Champion ended abruptly but I think I'm starting to like the ring of John Morrison, the XWL World Heavyweight Champion. Don't you guys like it? But anyways, 2013 is coming to an end and it's been a great year, but I know 2014 will have a lot to offer and I will achieve my ultimate goal of becoming the XWL World Heavyweight Champion. I just want to say thank you again to everyone supporting me and that there's more to come from me, this is not the last you've seen of me.

With that, John Morrison raises his slammy in the air as the crowd claps for him. John Morrison's theme begins to play and he slowly walks backwards holding his slammy in the air. The last picture we see before we head to a commercial break is John Morrison doing his signature pose as he holds his slammy with great pride.

We return from the commercial and in the ring stands none other then Goldberg, dressed in his casual attire, as his theme is heard playing in the background. The crowd is chanting Goldberg as he holds a microphone in his hand, waiting for the crowd and for his theme to die down. They eventually begin to die down and when it does, Goldberg goes to raise his microphone but is instantly cut off by yet another theme which causes everyone to turn their attention to the stage.



The theme of none other then John Cena begins to play throughout the arena as Goldberg lowers his microphone and looks towards the stage, awaiting for the arrival of the man who he speared just the other week. After a little bit of time passes, John Cena makes his way out from behind the curtain and the fans greet him with cheers.



[Jerry Lawler]
I think business is about to pick up right about now!

[Jim Ross]
You can say that again, especially after Goldberg speared Cena two weeks ago!

The crowd is split down the middle to an extent, some of the people cheering for John Cena while others are cheering for Goldberg who stands in the ring, not taking his eyes off of Cena as he stands on the stage now looking down the ramp and at the ring. Cena's expression changes from a serious look to a smile as he looks to the camera man and begins to say one of his usual things.



[John Cena]
Think it could be about time to repay the favor, wouldn't you agree?

Cena locks eyes with Goldberg once again as he begins to raise his right arm up the brim of his hat, holding it there for just a little bit.



He then does his signature salute and follows it with his usual spring towards the ring.

[Michael Cole]
C'mon now Cena, this is Goldberg! It won't be that easy to beat down this man!

[Jerry Lawler]
You've got that right, this guy is the definition of a monster. This may be John Cena we are talking about, but this is also Goldberg we are talking about.

[Jim Ross]
You can't really count either of these men out in a fight. Cena has the determination but Goldberg has the strength of someone who isn't human!

[Michael Cole]
Either way, I don't think it was the smartest move on John's part to interrupt Goldberg. We saw what happened two weeks ago, who is to say it may not happen again?

Cena slides into the ring and quickly gets to his feet, once again locking eyes with Goldberg. Goldberg has a more serious look in his face, obviously not too impressed that Cena would just go and interrupt him like that. Cena on the other hand is pretty much in a good mood, as if he fazed by what happened two weeks ago. Cena walks over to the ropes and leans against them, looking out into the crowd as his theme begins to die down.



A worker from ringside hands him a microphone and Cena doesn't speak at first, he paces around the ring for just a little bit before raising it to speak.



[John Cena]
So Bill, how's it going? I'm doing pretty fine myself after getting ya know, speared two weeks ago. Yeah, don't go and think I've forgotten about that because I haven't. In fact, every day since the day you've speared me I have waited for the moment to confront you in this ring. I waited the Tuesday following that Breakdown, the Wednesday, Thursday, and so on until that Monday but you never showed up so I was a bit disappointed that I'd have to go and wait a whole week yet again to confront you in this ring. And now I've got one of the things I wanted, and not to sound a bit selfious but I want one more thing and that one more thing is answers. Why'd you attack me? Out of all these people signed to a contract, you choose me of all people. I'm not saying I wouldn't fight you because I gladly would but I'm not the most popular or the most successful.



[John Cena]
Chris Jericho, a six time World Heavyweight Champion. At the time he was the current World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio. Or even the current Mister Money in the Bank briefcase holder, Ted DiBiase. But no, you came after John Cena and I just want to know why. If you want a fight then you've got one but I just simply want to know why. You've got a microphone now why don't you put it to use.

Cena lowers his microphone and he looks to be pretty serious, he wants answers, he doesn't want to play any games. Goldberg on the other hand seems to be a little amused by what Cena said as he actually lets out a little smile. Goldberg takes a step closer to John, not letting his eyes off of him for one second. Goldberg goes to raise the microphone but just then he drops it and charges at Cena, tackling him shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Cena doesn't just let him do it as he begins to fight back, clubbing the back of Goldberg while throwing in a knee every so often as Goldberg continues to throw shoulder after shoulder into Cena.

[Jerry Lawler]
We all saw this coming! There was no way these two men wouldn't brawl!

[Jim Ross]
With the way these two men have seen eye to eye, we may need to get some security out here if we want this fight to end.

Cena begins to gain the upperhand of Goldberg, throwing more and more shots in as Goldberg continues to throw shots of his own in. Cena begins to back Goldberg out into the center of the ring. The battle is even but it begins to turn in the direction, the crowd starting to get behind him as he begins to gain momentum. But the momentum is cut short as Cena goes for a clothesline but Goldberg ducks it and as Cena spins around, he is caught by Goldberg and is superkicked! The kick sends Cena directly to the ground as the crowd could be heard a mix of boos and cheers as Goldberg begins to rip off his leather jacket, looking down at Cena as he lays in the middle of the ring following that kick to the side of his jaw.

[Michael Cole]
I told you! Never count out Goldberg! It doesn’t matter who you are!

[Jerry Lawler]
From the way it looks, Goldberg isn’t finished just yet.

Goldberg begins to back into the corner as he begins to stalk his pray, waiting for Cena to get up following that kick, obviously looking to hit his spear. But then a familiar theme begins to play throughout the arena as Goldberg as well as the Houston crowd turns their attention to the stage.



The crowd cheers as Stephanie McMahon makes her way out from behind the curtain, following her is some security who instantly make their way to the ring as Stephanie stops at the top of the stage.



The security enter the ring and block Goldberg's path towards Cena. Stephanie's theme begins to die out as she raises the microphone in her hand to speak.



[Stephanie McMahon]
Now I'm sorry to interrupt this little fight of yours, but I'm not going to let it continue. If the two of you want a fight then you two will get a fight, by all means I will let the two of you fight, but I'm not going to let it happen here tonight as long as I'm in charge of this show. So with that said, I'm sure all of you can guess what I'm getting to with this, but like I was saying. With that said, I'm making it official right here, right now, that at November to Remember we will see Goldberg go one on one with John Cena!

The crowd cheers for the match as Cena has gotten to his feet and despite the fact he is not 100% there following that superkick, he is all ready for the match. Stephanie begins to exit the stage when Cena turns his attention back to Goldberg and within the blink of an eye, Goldberg charges through security and spears Cena yet again! The crowd is once again torn down the middle as security forces Goldberg out of the ring, leaving one worker to tend to Cena as we fade to the next segment of the night.

[Justin Roberts] Ladies and Gentlemen, here to present the Slammy for Diva of the Year, please welcome Stephanie McMahon!



*The fans cheer as Stephanie's theme song hits but instead of Stephanie we see... Brad Maddox?*



*The cheers turn to boo's as Brad walks onto the stage in a hurry adjusting his tie as he gives out a wave to his loving audience.*



*He walks over to the podium in a hurry and looks at the slammy with a smile before turning to the crowd.*

[Brad Maddox] Such a big night in XWL history, the Slammy  show is always something I used to look forward to watching every year. But tonight things change as I am finally a piece of history as I stand here with a Slammy in my hand. I know you all thought that this was going to be a selection for the Diva of the Year but you're all sadly mistaken. I have to break some very important news to you guys, the Divas aren't worth a Slammy!

*The fans boo as Brad puts his finger up to his lips trying to hush the crowd.*

[Brad Maddox] Come on guys it's not all that bad, I have taken it upon myself to change this category, that's right! This is no longer Diva of the year, this Slammy is for.. "The most handsome man in XWL.. of the year." Now if you'll allow me, your nominees are...

*The crowd can be heard groaning and sighing collectively as Brad takes out his own envelope and opens it with surprise.*

[Brad Maddox] Ladies and Gentlemen! This is shocking, your winner and Most Handsome Man in XWL of the year is... BRAD MADDOX!

*Brad throws down the piece of paper and picks up the Slammy raising his arms in triumph, he kisses the Slammy and thanks his adoring fans. He jumps up and down on the spot and then pulls out a party hat and puts it on, but the negative reaction towards him changes as Stephanie McMahon walks through the curtain! She walks right up to Brad who looks as nervous as ever as he picks up the piece of paper and sadly takes off his party hat.*

[Brad Maddox] The nominations for Diva of the year are...

Madison Eagles

and lastly, MsChif

He looks back at Stephanie once more before looking back down at the card, finishing what he had to say.









[Brad Maddox] Your winner and Diva of the year... Kaitlyn!

*He smiles at Steph and tries to walk off with the Slammy, Steph grabs onto it as Brad tries to pull it away but Steph forcefully grabs the Slammy from Brad and holds it waiting for the arrival of Kaitlyn. The camera pans out as you can see Brad running from security off the ramp and through the side entrance. The camera then focuses back onto the stage as Stephanie stands next to the podium as the theme of none other then the winner begins to play throughout the arena as her hometown rises to their feet in nothing but cheers for the now diva of the year.*



Shortly after, Kaitlyn makes her way out from behind the back and is stood face to face with her hometown crowd. She has a smile on her face as she begins to make her way over to where Stephanie stands.



She reaches the podium and Stephanie hands over her slammy to her and holds out a hand, offering her congrats to Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn gladly accepts it before looking back at her slammy that she had just won. Stephanie makes her way back to the back as Kaitlyn stands at the podium, waiting as her theme begins to die out before adjusting the microphone attached to the podium. She takes a moment before beginning to speak.

[Kaitlyn]
"Next year, that slammy is mine. Just remember that." I said that exact sentence around this time last year when I was preparing for a divas championship match. Some called me foolish to plan a year ahead, some called me delusional to think I even had a chance of winning that, let alone winning the championship that very night. And you know what I said? I said you'll see because I did what I promised to do, everything I promised I made sure that the promise was kept and I can say I did that. I promised to win the Divas Championship that night, and I did. I promised to hold it longer than Layla did, and I did. I promised to win the slammy award for Diva of the year the very near year, and guess what? I did, in front of my friends and family too.

Kaitlyn pauses and points to a small section of the crowd before raising the slammy up once more, getting a cheer from the crowd as she goes to continue her speech.

[Kaitlyn]
This year, I'm not going to make any promises about winning it again next year because these past couple of months haven't been the most promising for me. I would even consider it foolish if I went and said I'd win this again, so I'm not going to, I'll just wait and see what happens and if I do win it again and go me! If not, then whoever wins it will deserve it! But for now, this is my moment to celebrate what I've done. Just like Layla got to celebrate her moment, just like Michelle McCool got to celebrate her moment, this is my moment to celebrate and no diva will take this from me. So with that said, I think it's time for the show to go on. I've got a Crazy Chick to beat later tonight in a ladder match, should be interesting fight because with the bad blood between each other, this won't just be any other match. Just remember though, it’s not the Girl in the Fight, it’s the Fight in the Girl.

With that said, Kaitlyn's theme begins to play once again.



We then fade to the next segment as Kaitlyn holds up her slammy once again, making her way to the back as she is cheered on by her hometown.

*As Breakdown returns from its last segment we see dark and damp room with swamp green color on the wall, all that is seen is a simple TV which then begins to flicker on and off with static. This continues for awhile and the crowd begins to murmur, wondering what this is. The static continues for a few more moments before familiar images flash on the screen. They depict other prominent XWL Superstars winning the World Heavyweight Championship. By now the images have gone full screen and the crowd has began cheering loudly as such superstars like Ted Dibiase, Chris Jericho, The Rock, CM Punk, and Alberto Del Rio basking in their shining moments.

*The screen then flickers for many more seconds before it shows another dark room which looks the same as the previous but this time instead of a TV, there's a rather large silhouette , hunched over on a bench. The silhouette looks famillair but the lighting in the room is very dark so the fans can't make a judgement on whether this person is worth cheering or not. We hear heavy breathing coming from this figure, after a few moments the figure steps out in the light of the room and is revealed to be    Kane. *Kane then breathes for a few moments and then begins to speak

[Kane]
Heartless, Evil, Destructive, Monster.

[*Kane then stops for a few seconds and then breathes heavily again, the crowd hasn't booed that much, they're mostly in awe after all that Kane has done in XWL from hanging Ted Dibiase to burning Ricardo Rodriguez, there's nothing this man wont do. He then begins to speak again.*

[Kane]
Those are just a few words that you all have described me as at one point. But there's one word that's rarely been used to describe me, unless you're a little kid, you people probably wouldn't call me Scary, now would you?

*Kane then pauses for a moment, letting his question sink in to the people in Houston Texas, even though they don't answer Kane speaks anyway.

[Kane]
No you wouldn't. Unless I came up to you after the show at the gate and started attacking you, most of you people wouldn't find me scary. Why? Because we all know that I'm just another circus act in the freak show known as XWL. I'm not complaining, this is one of the only places in the world where I can inflict the only things I care about, onto people. Pain and Evil. But I have found a dilemma that I should have found out years ago. If Evil creates Evil, then why isn't Alberto Del Rio evil, after I burned his friend and he burned me? It's a simple answer, because a couple of months later he was the World Heavyweight Champion. Now don't get me wrong, I do not care for materialistic possessions but after all of these years of causing blind torment and pain to people I've realized that if you knock people down, they will get up. But they cant get up if there's no ground for them to fall down on.

*Kane then starts to cackle after hearing this cryptic last line come out, he then stops laughing and then begins to speak.

[Kane]
For years many "superstars" as this company calls them, have arrived here with one goal in mind, to win the World Title. It is their dream, everything they live for, everything that they want and need in their pathetic lives to feel superior. But I don't need the World Heavyweight Championship, I want it.*Kane begins his maniacal laughing again* I want it, so I can crush the dreams of all of the fools who step into this company and try and become "famous" or "immortal" When the reality is that I am the Immortal! I never die, and once I win that useless piece of gold, I will burn this company down and you people will never hope nor want to know what professional wrestling ever is or was.

*Kane, once more, continues his insane laughter and this time it doesn't stop until the camera starts zooming out, and we see Kane on the aforementioned TV screen continuing to laugh. The screen then turns to static and then the video and audio take a sharp cut, and then we see the message.

START RUNNING

*Breakdown then heads to a commercial break.




Feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!

Following a short commercial break, Breakdown returns to a strange sight.  There's complete darkness somewhere in the backstage area.  A cameraman appears to be fumbling around in the unknown, looking for something. We're made aware of a another presence off-screen as an interviewer begins to speak.

[Interviewer]
They told us she'd be here okay?  Stop with the complaining already!  We've got a job to do!

[Cameraman]
I just... y'know...

[Interviewer]
You're afraid of the dark?  You're a full-grown man!  Grow a set!

[Cameraman]
I can't help it okay?  It's just that when-  ahhh!

The cameraman lets out a yelp as they stumble into something... or someone.  Both men readjust their equipment and shine a light into the eyes of none other than Divas Champion, AJ Lee!  She looks like she hasn't seen light for hours and initially squints and covers her eyes to hide the light with one hand while stroking her title with the other.

[Interviewer]
See, here she is.  AJ, what exactly are you doing out here?



[AJ Lee]
What's it to you?!?  I was just spending some quality time with my title in this romantic setting.  It's so nice and cosy back here...

[Interviewer]
Right... Well tonight you have a match against your former best friend Kaitlyn.  And it's not just any match, it's a ladder match.  Your thoughts?

AJ appears to be muttering to her title under her breath.  The words Layla and November To Remember can be picked up along with suffer, but everything else is pretty much inaudible.

[Interviewer]
AJ?

AJ snaps back angrily, startling the two men while baring her teeth almost like a crazed animal.



[AJ Lee]
What?!?  I don't care about your stupid questions!  Kaitlyn is dead to me.  She's nothing more than a meaningless obstacle in my way of reaching November To Remember.  Our friendship, and our bond is history!  The only bond I care about now is the one I have with my Divas Championship...

[Interviewer]
Well, I hate to say this but it seems like you're underestimating Kaitlyn.  She's definitely one of XWL's most talented Divas...



[AJ Lee]
You see?!?  That's just the thing... she's a Diva.  Spell it with me, D-I-V-A.  She's one of them now.  A disgusting, worthless piece of trash that nobody cares about.  But me, I'm the face of women's wrestling.  I'm the best that there is.  She'll find out tonight... oh she'll find out.  When I leave her battered and bruised with one of those ladders.  And then... onto Layla.

[Interviewer]
You keep mentioning Layla... you're definitely focused on your title defense at November To Remember.  After last week, many are saying Layla has the upper hand heading into the Pay-Per-View...

AJ's mood quickly changed and she suddenly becomes super calm with a grin on her face as she looks lovingly at the gold over her shoulder.  She whispers sweet nothings to it before addressing the interviewer.



[AJ Lee]
I already have the upper hand on Layla and she doesn't even know it.  I'm already inside that pretty little head of hers and I'm enjoying messing it up.  It feels so great.  Last week meant nothing.  All that matters is what's going to happen to precious little Layla when I get my hands on her in 6 short days.  Her days in this company are numbered while my best days are just... beginning.

AJ lets out a menacing laugh before delivering one final demanding sentence in a firm tone.



[AJ Lee]
Now if you don't mind, we need the darkness again...

[Interviewer]
Um... okay.  Thanks for your time AJ.

They comply with AJ's request and turn off the light before turning to leave.  Once out of earshot...

[Cameraman]
Man, she's crazy...

The screen fades to the next segment of this special edition of Breakdown...

Normal Match


Drew McIntyre def. Goldust via pinfall after hitting The Facial.

Layla's shown standing with Josh Matthews, as if she were having a conversation with him not an official interview. She smiles at Josh and waves before she pulls her hood up over her head and begins to walk away...



But after only walking a few steps, she hears a scream and before she has a chance to react, a frantic woman comes running around the corner, looking back behind her, not paying any attention to where she's going, she runs directly into Layla's path and the two girls clash before falling down to the cold hard floor. The frantic woman appears to be mumbling to herself as she regains her composure and lifts herself up to her knees. She takes one more look behind her before turning back to see Layla looking up at her.


[Layla]
Um, Mickie are you alright? Not to be rude or anything but you kinda just plowed right into me. Save the hijinks for our match Missy.

Layla laughs playfully, but Mickie's demeanor doesn't change.

Mickie James
I... I'm...

On the verge of tears, Mickie moves a strand of her hair out of her eyes and turns to look back again, almost as if she's waiting for someone to sneak up behind her. After making sure that there's no sign of anyone following her, Mickie turns back towards Layla.

Mickie James
I'm sorry Layla... I didn't mean to hurt you... I have to go, I'm sorry.

Mickie picks herself up off the ground and attempts to leave, but Layla grabs hold of her arms and stops her.


[Layla]
What's the rush? I was actually hoping we could chat before our match, I know we've had our issues in the past, but I really want tonight to be special, you know? This is a rematch of the very first divas match XWL ever had, I don't know about you, but I'm excited.

Mickie doesn't respond and instead stares off into the distance leaving Layla confused.

[Layla]
Uhm, Mickie?

Upon hearing her name, Mickie snaps back into reality and shakes her head.

Mickie James
Of course I'm excited, I can't wait to step out into that ring with you tonight Layla. It was honestly... It was an honor to be competing with you five years ago, and it's an honor to compete against you again tonight... You can consider all of our past issues forgotten, let's just go out there and do what we do best, put on a great match.

As she speaks her last few words, Mickie's voice breaks out into a high pitch, almost similar to a cry. She does her bast to mask it, but Layla quickly notices.


[Layla]
Something's bothering you, come on Mickie, we've known each other forever, what's going on?

Mickie James
It's nothing, don't worry, I just really have to go. It was nice talking to you Layla...


[Layla]
No, you're not going anywhere until you tell me what's got you so messed up. This isn't the happy go lucky Mickie James that I've grown to know over the years, this is...it's just, there's something you're not telling me.

Mickie James
Please Layla, if you don't let me go, she'll find me.

Layla looks at Mickie with concern in her eyes.

[Layla]
Who Mickie? Who'll find you?

Mickie holds back the tears in her eyes and makes one last check over her surroundings.

Mickie James
AJ...


[Layla]
AJ? What's she got to do with this? I'm sure she's off somewhere enjoying a romantic candle lit dinner with The Divas Championship, you're the furthest thing from her mind...or what's apparently left of it.

Mickie looks away from Layla, she squints her eyes as if trying to remember something.



Mickie James
I was... I was in my locker room, getting ready for our match tonight. I was just picking out what I was going to wear, I wanted to look good for my return, for the rematch of one of the biggest matches in the history of my career... But when I'd just about made up my mind... I heard her... She was outside my door, in the hallway, she was ranting and raving and mumbling something to herself... I couldn't concentrate with all the noise, so I opened my door... I just wanted to ask her to stop but before I got the chance to, she looked at me... her eyes, it was like they were glazed over, she looked possessed... I was scared, I tried to shut the door, but she pounced at me... I didn't know what to do.

Mickie can't help herself now as the tears begin to flow. Layla shocked from what she's hearing does her best to comfort and console her.

But why would she do something like that?

Mickie James
I... I don't know.. She just attacked me. I tried to fight her off but she was too strong, it was like she was drugged or something... I couldn't do anything, I was... What am I doing? You don't need to hear this, I'm sorry Layla, I didn't mean to burden you.

[Layla]
Don't be silly, I'm here for you. Go on, what happened next?

Mickie James
She threatened me... She told me that if I didn't take our match tonight as an opportunity to end your career... she'd end mine...

Layla looks beyond shocked, but doesn't get a chance to reacts as Mickie carries on.

Mickie James
...and then she started throwing things across the room, I had no choice but to watch as she destroyed everything around me... I had to get out of there, I ran, I just ran... I thought I was past all of this... I've only just come back from a month away, after Kharma attacked me, I wanted to move on... I didn't think I'd have to relive it... I just... I don't know what I did to deserve this Layla..

Mickie wipes the tears out of her eyes.


[Layla]

Layla places her hand on Mickie's shoulder, comforting her.


[Layla]
We're going to go out there, give the fans a good show, and that's that. AJ's not someone to get worked up over, if anything, she should be afraid of you. Hello, the only two women here to have competed inside Hell in a Cell. We're pretty damn tough if I do say so myself.

Mickie James
... You're right.

The tears stop flowing and Mickie's mood lightens.

Mickie James
We are tough! That little girl can't handle me, I'm the pure definition of a hardcore country woman. I guess I was just a little broken up... After what happened last month with Kharma... But if she tries anything else, I'll show her that she's messing with the wrong woman.

Mickie cracks a smile and turns to face Layla.

Mickie James
I know that you're smart, so I don't need to tell you that even though our match may not carry any stipulation, you're going to experience the full hardcore personality of this country girl tonight... It's going to be a night to remember... For all the right reasons... Thanks again Layla.

Layla pulls Mickie in for a friendly hug, they pull away from each other after a few seconds.

*Michael Cole stands up and adjusts his collar before tightening his tie. He puts his hands down on the desk and takes a couple of breaths before turning to King, extending his hand. King shakes his head no and rolls his head, so Cole turns to JR, extending his hand out to him as well. JR tells Cole to just get up to the podium already, but of course, is ignored. Cole turns to the crowd and raises his hands, just to get jeered.*



[Jim Ross]
Stop horsing around and just get up there already.

[Jerry Lawler]
Whatever it takes to just get your theme to stop playing.

*Coke takes off his headset and leaves the announce table, throwing his hands up in the air again. The jam packed crowd continues to boo him and he starts jogging around the ringside area, still having his hands up in the air; like he just won a slammy himself. He jogs all the way up the entrance ramp with his hands up in the air and a giant smirk on his face. He finally reaches the podium, and his panting is made audible thanks to the microphone.*

[Jerry Lawler]
Jeez, is he trying to eat that thing?

[Jim Ross]
I don’t know what was more pathetic, that jog or the fact that he’s already out of breath.

*Cole finally regains his breath and fixes his tie one more time before he’s finally able to speak.*

[Michael Cole]
Woo!... Ladies and gentlemen… may I have your attention…

*The fans respond with a quick and empathic “Cole Sucks!” chant, but he’s oblivious to it and thanks them for the reaction..*

Thank you, kind fans. Now, as you all know, I am here to present the Feud of the Year Slammy! This award goes to the two men that, quite frankly, hated each other the most in 2013. And personally I am an advocate of everyone getting along, but I will admit there are some people that I just loathe! Like you, Jerry! And don’t worry, I can’t stand you either JR! The reason why I was so excited to get up here was just to get away from you two for a couple of seconds! Honestly, I don’t understand why I wasn’t nominated for this award. My hatred for you two is stronger than anything else in this world! At this point, I’m just stalling so I can stay up here longer! Anyway, I guess I can’t give this sham of an award to myself, so the nominees are…

*Michael Cole grabs the envelope from the desk and opens it, reading it closely. After a few seconds he gapes at whatever the card says, before putting it down and cover his mouth with his hands. Eventually, he regains his composure and begins to speak.*

*Unanimously, the fans here in Houston boo as the theme of “The Dashingly Insane One” hits over the PA System. Cody finally makes his way out with a huge smirk on his face as the fans continue to gibe at him. He walks up to Michael Cole and the two shake hands, before Cody pulls him in closer for a hug. After they finish hugging, Cole hands him his slammy and begins to applaud as Cody turns to the microphone.*

[Cody Rhodes]
Thank you very much, Michael. And just so you know, I can’t stand King and JR either. Don’t worry, though, I consider you to be a very good friend. No, you’re a GREAT friend. And I know you think of me the same way. Anyway, I would just like to thank myself for this award, because it was really just a matter of time before this company finally recognized my greatness. If have proven myself every single week I step into the ring for the past two years and those who “run” this place are finally believing me. They have finally realized the talent and skill I possess, and I guarantee you all that this is only the beginning. Mark my words, this is not the only award that I am going to walk away with tonight. Because, as you all know, the Superstar of the Year Award is up for grabs tonight, and it has my name written all over it. I was the one with pay-per-view win after pay-per-view win, I was the one who rose above the odds and won the World Heavyweight Championship at Digital Decision, and at the Monster Bash I was alongside Joey Ryan when we shook the world and changed this company forever. We all know this rivalry was the best for one reason, because I made you quit TWICE! Hell, the first time I wasn't even on the roster and you just ran away like the adorable little bitch we've come to know. And then the second time...well, that just was the icing on the best feud ever cake, am I right or am I right? OF COURSE I AM!

[Cody Rhodes]
Oh, Ted, I somehow knew you would come out here and try to take credit for this award, MY award. For once I’ll admit I’m stumped, I can’t begin to comprehend how you could have the audacity to try to take credit for my hard work after everything we’ve been through.

[Ted DiBiase]
Your hard work? I'm the bastard that wasted four months of my life trying to get back the job you stole from me. Let's not even get into the months and months of incessant self praise. If you still think those "victories" are anything to brag about, then I guess that explains why you're out here trying accept what is CLEARLY my award. I mean hello, winner here, loser right there, pretty self explanatory. But you're right we have been through a lot, remember the time I finally "silenced" you and slammed you smack dab through a spotlight? Good times, good times, we must do it again sometime.

Oh, here we go again, Ol’ Crybaby Ted out here with his sob story. Nobody cares, Ted. Go home. You’re always trying to make yourself out to be the victim, and that disgusts me. You’re the one who started it all,  you deserved to be fired. And if you want me to be honest, I use to think I got you fired because I thought it was the right thing to do. Ted DiBiase]
You know what else felt REALLY good? Hearing you say those two words on National Television, after putting on such a big front over the months leading up to it. See, everyone gets what's coming to them in the end, you might have played your games, you may have gotten a few up on me, but I'm the one that ended it, you started it but I sure as hell finished it! Now go on get lost, go cry to your sleazy lover or something, but before you go...make sure you send me an invite when you two tie the knot, maybe if you're nice I'll have a special Slammy made in your honor, I'll title it it "The World's biggest bitch" and good news, you'll always be the winner!

Oh, you’re hilarious. Your ego just couldn’t let you sit back there and accept the fact that I won this Slammy like a man so now you have to come out here and try to take my spotlight again. Can’t you ever just let things go? I’m the better man, I don’t care if you just got lucky back at an Eye for an Eye. This is my award, so why don’t you just turn around, hang your head in shame, and crawl back to whatever pit of hell something like you would come from.

Ted DiBiase]
Lucky? Yeah, SURE! Let's go with that, totally just luck, not just you begging the referee to stop the match because you didn't wanna get your ass slammed through "YOUR" spotlight. See what I did there? That was "your" spotlight and I shattered it into a million pieces, leaving you a broken mess! Clearly I'm the one that's got bragging rights, and that award quite frankly without a doubt belongs on my mantle.

[Cody Rhodes]
Bragging rights? Ted, you simply have the right to remain silent, and I recommend that you exercise that right. And you threw me into the spotlight, big deal. The only way you could ever get in the spotlight was by putting me through it, apparently. And if you want to start going down this route, why don’t we talk about what happened last April when I beat you to a bloody pulp in front of your family.

[Ted DiBiase]
Or when I beat YOU to a bloody pulp every other time. No matter how much you want this award to be yours, it just isn't, as the saying goes, to the victor go the spoils.

No, Ted, no this time. I’m not going to allow you to just waltz onto this stage and take what I deserve again. This is my award, I earned it, and it belongs to me. Get that through your thick skull.

[Ted DiBiase]
Aw that's precious, you think there's a choice! HE THINKS THERE'S A CHOICE! Ain't he just the most adorable little psychopath y'all ever did see?

Yeah, you’re right. There is no choice, for you. Now get off of this stage before I make you.

[Ted DiBiase]
Did you hear that, Cole? He's going to make me! It's nice to see some things never change, now go on you little rascal, before you get hurt.

Well, guys, even though Cody deserves to have this award… technically, it belongs to the both of you… so… you’ll have to… share.

[Cody Rhodes]

[Michael Cole]
Yes, Cody. I’m sorry, but you two are the co-winners of this award.

*Ted remains stolid at the podium, as if he accepts the fact that he’ll have to share the award with Cody, but he’s not happy about it. Cody, on the other hand, is staring a hole through Michael Cole. Eventually, he flares his nostrils and turns back to the microphone, speaking again.*

[Cody Rhodes]
No! Absolutely not! I will not… no! I REFUSE to share this award, or anything, with that man. I would rather not have it all than share it with that man… if you could even call him that… for one SECOND! This is an injustice! You, Ted, don’t deserve this! All you deserve is another firing! This… is a mockery of this company. That is my award! I shouldn’t have to share it with ANYBODY! If this is how it’ll have to be… you can just KEEP it, Ted. I don’t want it, I’ll be walking away with the Superstar of the Year Slammy anyway.

*Cody’s face has turned a bright red as he remains up at the podium, snorting as he tries to calm himself down and regain his composure. Soon, he storms right past Cole and Ted ands heads backstage, as the crowd here in Houston is busy laughing it up at Cody’s display of immaturity. Ted and Michael Cole are left alone at the podium, and Ted turns to Cole, who is visibly nervous.*


[Ted DiBiase]
Well Cole, as much as I'd love to stick around...I don't really like you...so....BYE!

Ted snatches his Slammy off the podium and runs off, leaving Cole all on his lonesome but not one to make a quick exit, Ted shouts out "We did it Posse!" as he raises The Slammy Award up then dashes backstage where Breakdown begins fading to a commercial.
