The Rocks theme hits and is almost instantly drowned out by the insane reaction from this Monsters Bash crowd, the reaction only triples in intensity when The Rock fires out from behind the curtain clearly hyped for this HUGE main event....



The Rock makes his way down the ramp slowly, soaking in this atmosphere, it is like nothing he has ever seen or heard before in his entire career, the goosebumps finally begin to appear on his body as he climbed his way up the steps and along the apron....



The Rock climbs up onto the turnbuckle and throws up his signature taunt for the millions and millions of fans around the world, he holds it for a long moment before bringing his arm back down and staring intently into the sea of fans....



The Rock begins to notice something the more he listens into this sold out crowd, as his theme stops and the deafening roar of the crowd fills the arena he notices that something is very different, there isn't a mass chanting of his name, nor a mass disapproval of CM Punk, this arena was split right...down....the middle.....



The Rock hops down off the turnbuckle and goes over to the side of the ring, he requests a mic from the side and after a moment he is handed one from the timekeeper, The Rock tries to lift the mic and speak but is cut off by the insane reaction from this very hyped up crowd.....

"LETS GO ROCKY!"

This huge mixed reaction is nothing like what The Rock is used to, he's used to every single person in the arena chanting his name and rooting for him to win, but tonight was different, the atmosphere was absolutely electric, more so than usual even, but it wasn't just his fans causing it.....



[The Rock] Well would you look at this, maybe The Rock was wrong about you after all Punk, it seems like you have quite the following, either that or you paid half of Chicago and a couple of homeless guys to come chant your name. None the less, tonight, The Rock will take back his World Heavyweight Championship and he will do it for the people, the people who have stood by his side no matter how hard it got, no matter how bumpy the road was they just grabbed on tight and never let go! So right here, right now, The Rock will take back what is rightfully his, what is rightfully theirs! And there's not a damn thing you can do about, because when Team Bring It wants something, they take it! The Rock isn't just fighting for himself, he's fighting for everyone in this arena, everyone around the world who has been there with him through thick and thin! Right in this very ring, THE PEOPLES ring! We settle this once and for all one on one! Man to man! The Rock! To CM Punk!



[The Rock] JUST BRING IT! BITCH!

The Rock begins to pace back and forth in the ring, awaiting the arrival of his bitter rival, the crowd still split equally down the middle with their chants and songs of praise, The Rock has his eyes fixed on the titan tron for at least a whole minute before the arena is sent into yet another uproar signalling the theme of this man....



CM Punk appears from behind the curtain with a cocky grin on his face holding his World Heavyweight Championship, he looks around the arena and takes in the reaction, looking almost as shocked as The Rock at the mixed reception in the building, his grin turns to a fully fledged smile as he take the belt and walks over to the side of the stage holding it high up for all to see.....



The crowd pop big time as he screams along with them before bringing his title down and walking over to the other side of the stage, he pauses for a moment and with a highly anticipated second scream he lifts the belt again for the other half of the audience to go nuts.....



He moves back over to the middle of the stage but before walking down the ramp he smirks and lowers himself slowly to one knee, strapping the belt back around his waist and then softly rubbing the floor below, as if checking for something, then in vintage CM Punk fashion he cups his hands around his mouth and rises to his feet shouting....



[ [ [ CM Punk ] ] ] IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

CM Punk makes his way down the ramp, his turn to soak in this intense atmosphere while heading into his most anticipated match up arguably ever, the talk of XWL for months, now everyone is finally going to get the answer to that golden question, who was better, CM Punk? or The Rock? Punk climbs up the steps and up onto the turnbuckle, he holds up his Championship and locks eyes with The Rock.....



Punk hops down from the turnbuckle and give his World Heavyweight Championship to the referee who holds it up in the air to the biggest pop of the night, CM Punk takes off his shirt and tosses it into the crowd as he turns his attention back to his main goal, The Rock. Both men stare each other down as the tension reaches boiling point and the chants begin to start up once again.......

"LETS GO ROCKY!"



"CM PUNK!"



Who will be the one left standing when it's all said and done? When the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared who will be holding The World heavyweight Championship high for the world to see?

The Peoples Champion?

The Bell rings.

Both men slowly begin to walk closer towards each other while at the same times circling the ring, the booming crowd gets louder and louder by the second as the competitors pace back and forward while inching closer....and....closer, they eventually get toe to toe with each other, nose to nose, man to man, a few insults are swapped out of earshot before the boiling crowd explode as The Rock throws the first punch, CM Punk hits right back as they begin to trade huge right hands in the center of the ring, each blow gaining a huge pop from the buzzing crowd. CM Punk breaks the sequence with a vicious leg kick to The Rock knocking him off balance, while The Rock steps back Punk takes his opportunity and fires in a serious of lower body kicks.

Punk cocks his leg back and flies forward with a huge kick intent on taking The Rocks head off but the Great One ducks under it just in time and begins to hit back with a rapid series of massive right hands until Punk is backed into the corner, The Rock pulls his arm all the way back behind his head, spits on it and comes forward with a skull cracking punch to CM Punk who falls to the seated position in the turnbuckle, The Rock begins to get all fired up and taking a page from his old pal Stone Colds book, stomps a mud hole in his ass. After a barrage of lethal stomps Punk rolls out of the ring for a moment to try and catch his breathe.



Before he can even register where he is The Rock has climbed out after him, The Rock grabs him and picks him up by the head before slamming his face down on the barricade, Punk staggers round the side of the ring towards the commentators table trying to shake the cobwebs but unfortunately for him The Rock gives chase and nails him in the back of the head with a forearm, knocking him to the floor. The sold out crowd are still as hot as ever, going insane for both men as their respective chants ring throughout the arena, CM Punk gets back up to his feet but The Rock is waiting for him with a harsh kick to the gut, The Rock goes to Irish Whip a dazed Punk into the ring post but with cat-like reaction time CM Punk reverses it into an Irish Whip of his own sending The Rock careening into the steel ring post.

CM Punk walks over to The Rock who is trying to get to his feet, Punk nails him in the forehead with a kick and begins to stomp all over his torso and mid section while proclaiming that he is "The Best In The World" Punk then picks up The Peoples Champion and rolls him back into the ring, with a huge pop from the crowd Punk climbs onto the apron and gears up to hit his signature springboard clothesline...



As The Rock slowly rises and groggily spins around Punk leaps up onto the top rope and fires himself through the air going for a huge clothesline but NO! The Rock catches him under the arm in mid-air and goes for The Rock Bottom! NO! Punk elbows The Rock hard three times in the temple and pushes him to the side, Punk runs towards the ropes and comes back with a clothesline that The Rock ducks, he rebounds off the other set of ropes and comes back once again but The Rock nails him with a lightening quick Samoan Drop! The Rock goes for a quick cover but CM Punk kicks out at the two count!



The Rock gets to his feet and picks up Punk, he drags him over to the turnbuckle and sets him up as he begins to launch a serious of vicious cringe worthy chop, each one getting a cry of pain from CM Punk and a loud cheer from the fans. The Rock punches him hard across the jaw before lifting him up to the top rope, the crowd start to buzz in anticipation as The Rock climbs up to join him on the top rope to go for a match ending superplex, but before The Rock can lift him up, Punk breaks free and tosses The Rock to the mat below! The Rock gets to his feet quickly but CM Punk is already waiting to attack...



He leaps off the top rope and hits The Rock with a huge flying crossbody! He goes for the cover but to his and half of the crowds dismay The Rock kicks out at two! Punk pounds his fists on the mat in anger before getting to his feet and picking The Rock up, he slaps him across the face before kicking him hard in the thigh and then connecting with a jaw breaking spinning back fist! The Rock falls to the mat and rolls out of the ring, he places both hands on the barricade to try and gain his bearings but the sound of the crowds pop warns him to turn around, just in time as well, Punk flies through the middle rope with a crazy suicide dive but The Rock is able to get out of dodge just in time as CM Punk crashes and burns on the outside, flying into the barricade!

The Rock takes all the time he needs to gain his breathe back before picking up a motionless CM Punk and rolling him back into the ring, The Rock goes for the cover as the crowd watches with baited breathe to see Punk kick out at the count of two! The Rock looks on in disbelief for a moment before picking CM Punk up once again as he goes for a suplex, he hits it and goes for the cover once more but Punk kicks out just before the two counts showing he has plenty of fight left, The Rock picks up the World Heavyweight Champion once again as he goes for a float over DDT but Punk swirls out by grabbing a hold of his arm and connects with a quick Russian leg sweep before getting to his feet and stomping all over The Rock...



Punk begins to take control of the match and starts to slow the pace of the match down, he sharply kicks The Rock in the forehead, then stomps on his right leg, then the left, he drops to his knee next and knee's The Rock harshly in the rib cage, next he picks The Rock up and Irish Whips him off the ropes, The Rock comes straight back into a spine crunching tilt the whirl backbreaker. Instead of opting for the cover, Punk decides to pick him up once more and sets him up for a signature move, he screams at the top of his lungs, "WELCOME TO CHICAGO, MOTHER FUCKER!" Before hitting a perfect double underhook backbreaker. He goes for the cover, one.....two......No! The Rock kicks out at two and three quarters as half of the crowd go insane and the other boo....

CM Punk begins to get rather angry and boots The Rock in the chest before picking him up, he Irish Whips Rock off the ropes and tries for a clothesline but The Great One ducks it and comes back with a clothesline of his own! NO! CM Punk ducks under it and hooks in and hits a reverse STO! Once on the mat he keeps a hold and lifts his legs over The Rocks head locking in the Koji Clutch! The Rock is stuck in the middle of the ring with absolutely nowhere to go! Each second the hold is held on the pain becomes greater, The Rock knows there is only one way out of this but it's going to take a lot of energy. The Rock somehow garners the strength from within and with the entire crowd exploding into cheers and boo's alike he gets up to his feet, still with Punk wrapped around him, he pauses for a moment before sending CM Punk sailing to the mat with a desperation power bomb!



Both men are down and hurting bad, they begin to stir as the sold out crowd will them to their feet with chants and screams, blowing the roof off of this arena, as The Rock and CM Punk rise to their feet the arena is electric, the atmosphere is absolutely insane, both men stop and take a look around to soak it in, it is like nothing they have ever seen, or felt. With a second wind they meet in the middle of the ring and begin to trade hard blows, much like the start of the match, only this time, it's CM Punk who gets the upper hand, he fires a serious of quick rights and lefts before Irish Whipping The Rock into the corner, he smirks and slaps his knee signalling it is time for his signature move, he charges towards The Rock full steam ahead but when he throws up his knee The Rock hooks his arm around it and catches him just in time, he tosses Punk to the mat but keeps a hold of his leg and locks in the sharpshooter, gaining a huge pop from the crowd!

CM Punk is in sheer agony, his back bending in ways he never thought possible, it seems like there's no other choice than to tap out and live to fight another day. Just when he is about to bring his arm down to the mat he remembers everything this match means, all it stands for, all HE stands for. He gets a sudden rush of energy and scrambles his way over to the ropes, finally grabbing a hold of them! The Rock lets go of the hold at a four count, he circles CM Punk for a moment before crouching down low and stalking him for the Rock Bottom! Punk slowly rises to his feet and turns straight into The Rock, however before he can hook in The Rock bottom, CM Punk hits a desperate headbutt! Causing The Rock to stumble back groggily. Punk runs towards The Rock all guns blazing but the arena erupts once more when he is caught with a huge Spinebuster!

The Rock bounces to his feet and goes to Punks head, he looks around the sold out crowd and pauses for a long moment before swinging his arms and running off the ropes, he comes back, jumps over CM Punk and bounces off the other set of ropes, however, he took too long to taunt because when he gets back to the middle of the ring CM Punk is already on his feet and waiting with a HUGE kick to the skull! The Rock seems to be out cold as Punk goes for the cover! One.............two..........NO! The Rock kicks out! Punk, frustrated, gets up and goes to The Rocks head, he looks down at Rock and then up at the fans with a sly smirk on his face, he swings his arms, runs off the ropes, jumps over The Rock and bounces off the other ropes but quicker than a hiccup The Rock kips up and catches him with another Spinebuster! The Rock sets up for the Peoples Elbow once more and takes his time to smell what he is cooking...



This time there is absolutely no stopping him, he runs off the ropes, jumps over Punk and on the way back connects with the single most electrifying move in all of entertainment! The Peoples Elbow! The Rock goes for the cover!

NO! Punk kicks out at two and a half and The Rock can't believe it!



The Rock begins to get agitated and picks CM Punk up by the head before launching him over the top rope and out onto the floor next to the commentators table, The Rock follows him out and JR, King and Cole immediately scatter the second The Rock begins to strip the table of everything unnecessary, once he's finished he picks up CM Punk and rattles his head off of the table before rolling him onto it, Rock climbs up after him and picks CM Punk up, motioning for a Rock Bottom. Punk, out of instinct alone elbows Rock across the temple a few times and when The Rock staggers backwards he is met with a brain busting kick to the skull from CM Punk! The Rock crumbles to the table and is lying flat across it when a light bulb goes off in Punks head, he jumps off of the table and slides back into the ring, the fans go absolutely insane in one of the biggest reactions of the night as CM Punk climbs the top turnbuckle and motions for his signature Macho Man elbow drop!



After a long pause to soak in every last bit of the atmosphere, CM Punk takes a leap of faith over the gap between the ring and the table, time seems to almost slow down as he floats through the air, elbow outstretched and in a flash, we are back to normal as CM Punk drives his elbow through the heart of The Rock as the table explodes around them and the fans go mental, alternating between screaming, "CM PUNK!" and "HOLY SHIT!" Both men lay broken in a heap as the referee starts the count towards ten, this may very well favor CM Punk if The Rock can't get back in the ring

Both men still lie motionless on the outside

No sign of life from either competitor

The crowd begin to start massive chants for each man to get up

Both The Rock and CM Punk begin to stir

"LETS GO ROCKY"

Both men have crawled their way over to the apron

They rise to their feet slowly as CM Punk rolls in

With seemingly his last bit of energy The Rock slides in after him as both men lay exhausted on the mat!





These warriors have battled it out with all they have here tonight and it's still not over, neither man wants to die, neither man wants to give up, but both men NEED to win, the atmosphere has not budged a bit, the crowd are still as wild as ever, willing on both men, they still seem to be split, straight down the middle. Definitely one for the record books. The Rock and CM Punk both seem to be living solely off of the crowds reaction, they somehow, someway, find a way to stand and begin to stare each other down, each thinking of ways to keep the other man down....

They meet in the middle of the ring for the third time in the match up to trade punches, each shot stiffer than the last, each shot draining power from both men, The Rock takes control and just like that, with the wind in his sails begins to fire punches quicker and quicker until CM Punk is staggering, Rock Irish Whips him into the ropes and when Punk comes back he attempts a clothesline but The Rock ducks it and damn near turns him inside out with a clothesline of his own before turning to the crowd and telling them that he's got this.....



He turns his attention back to CM Punk just in time for him getting up, when Punk gets to his feet The Rock quickly grabs his arm and spins him round, nailing him with the Rock DDT! CM Punks head bounces off the mat and no sooner than he turns round The Rock had already kipped up, seemingly now in full swing The Rock decides to stalk CM Punk for The Rock Bottom, Punk slowly but surely rises and unknowingly turns into a thunderous ROCK BOTTOM driving CM Punk to the canvas! The Rock covers!

NO! CM Punk kicks out somehow!

The Rock gets up and begins to stalk him again, not happy in the slightest with CM Punk kicking out of his finisher, Punk slowly gets to his feet after a while and The Rock hooks in yet another Rock bottom, HE HITS IT! ROCK BOTTOM! Number two! He goes for the cover, surely it's all over!

NO! CM Punk still finds a way to will himself out of the pin fall!

The Rock gets up and he is going off like a raging bull, what does he have to do to keep CM Punk down!? He picks CM Punk up and tries to Irish Whip him into the corner but Punk reverses it into one of his own and sends Rock into the corner! Almost instantly CM Punk charges at him and follows up with a running knee to the chin before grabbing him by the head and planting him in the center of the ring with a bulldog! Punk rolls out to the apron and crouches down, holding onto the top rope, preparing himself for a second flying clothesline attempt...



The Rock gets up to his feet rather slowly, he turns around just as CM Punk jumps up onto the top rope and sends himself through the air while screaming, "I CAN FLY" He connects with a huge clothesline to The Rock and goes for the cover on the Peoples Champion!

NO! The Rock kicks out! CM Punk rolls over to the side and decides it's time to put The Rock away for good.......



He picks up The Rock and with the entire arena watching on with their hearts in their mouths, an anticipation silence fills the building as nothing can be heard but CM Punk lifting The Rock up onto his shoulders, for the first time in this match it was quite, almost signalling the end for The Rock. He throws Rock over his head and connects with a skull cracking GTS! The Rock falls to the floor in a heap as CM Punk rolls him over for the cover!

CM Punk sits in disbelief, he can't believe that The Rock has kicked out of his main move. A smirk then reveals itself across his face, as an idea springs to mind. Punk then grabs The Rock by the head and shoves his body into the corner, he takes a few steps backwards before running forward and hitting another high knee to the jaw. Punk grabs a headlock, thinking for another bulldog but as he runs out of the corner The Rock shoves him away into the opposite corner and quickly follows with a hard clothesline, sandwiching Punk between himself and the turnbuckles.

Punk falls into a ball in the corner but can only rest for a few seconds as The Rock already has plans for him. The Rock grabs ahold of Punk's head and drags him up to his feet. It's then The Rock's turn to shove Punk in the corner, before unloading furious right hands, all connecting with CM Punk's jaw. Punk seems to be out on his feet, he falls forward but The Rock stops him and again pushes him back into the corner. Rock then takes a step backwards, raises his hand high in the air and then delivers a devastating punch, which almost takes Punk's head clean off his shoulders.

If Punk wasn't out on his feet before, he deffinetly is now. The Rock takes full advantage of this and places CM Punk on the top rope. The Rock takes a few moments to take in the cheers of the attending audience, before following Punk onto the turnbuckles. He takes one of Punk's arms and places it behind his neck, attempting a superplex but with his last bit of energy Punk drives a few punches to The Rock's stomach and manages to get his arm free from Rock's grasp. The crowd go wild as the two men then begin to trade shots on the turnbuckle, with every punch their cheers become louder and lourder.

The Rock tries to deliver one more punch but it is blocked by Punk, who then begins to repeatedly drive his forearm into The Rock's temple. The Rock is now stunned, hanging onto the ropes for dear life. Punk senses the match could be over with one more big move and double underhooks The Rock's arms. The crowd now know what CM Punk has in mind and a huge pop can be heard from the capacity crowd. Punk stand to his feet and tries to drag The Rock to the top tope but The Rock is refusing to budge. Punk releases his arms and slams his arm into The Rock's back several times. He then underhooks the arms once again but still cannot manage to drag The Rock to the top rope. Punk, with all his might tried one last time but The Rock manages to break his arms free and throws CM Punk off of the top rope with a huge back body drop. CM Punk crashes to the mat with a sickening thud, the damage it did can be seen on Punk's face.



The Rock takes a few moments to rest and collect his thoughts, while Punk lies in agony in the middle of the ring. The Rock steps down from the ropes and turns to see CM Punk getting to his knees. The Rock can see that Punk is hurt and without hesitation charges for the attack but as he nears Punk quickly lifts The Rock off of his feet and connects with the knee as he plants another GTS! The Rock falls into a heap on the mat and CM Punk falls ontop of him, managing to hook the leg as he does so, the Ref counts.

The fans are sent into the biggest uproar of the night as the ref counts the three for CM Punk! People are going absolutely insane left right and center for that amazing match up and this amazing champion!



The ref comes back into the ring holding The World Heavyweight Championship! He hands it to CM Punk who proudly lifts it into the air to a massive roar of approval from every single fan in the arena



An amazing moment for XWL and an even better moment for CM Punk, chants of his name fill the air as he seems to have the entire audience on his side after that incredible match up. On the outside The Rock is shown sitting just at the bottom of the ramp, he has a confused look on his face as he just can't understand how in the name of god the fans are chanting and actually celebrating CM Punk defeating him



You can almost see the gears turning in The Rocks head as he doesn't have a clue what to think, he lost, he let down the people, HIS people, but the problem was, HIS people didn't seem to care, HIS people didn't even seem to be HIS people at the moment, after a moment he shakes that thought off and cracks a smile before clapping for the World Heavyweight Champion



The Rock stands up, almost laughing now, still clapping for CM Punk, he climbs into the ring and walks straight up to a know confused Punk who drops his title on to the floor and prepares to fight yet again, both men stand staring each other down as The Rock extends his arm and decides to be the bigger man and attempt to bury the hatchet



CM Punk looks at The Rock confused for a moment and after a while you can actually see the respect for The Rock return to CM Punks face, he smiles and accepts The Rocks handshake! Both men walk around the ring with their hands held high over their heads with this booming crowd going insane, blowing the roof off of this and any other arena within a five mile radius, these bitter rivals have finally buried the hatchet and become friends.















Out of nowhere The Rock pulls CM Punk in towards him and nails him with an explosive ROCK BOTTOM! Every single fan in the arena instantly turns on The Rock, showering him with boo's and chants of "Rocky sucks!" The Rock looks around the arena in disgust at the fans reaction, they were supposed to be on HIS side, not Punks. The Rock takes a last look down at CM Punk and spits on his downed body, gaining even more heat from this already boiling crowd.

The Rock climbs out of the ring and walks down the ramp with the crowd raining heat and boo's down on him, some even throwing their drinks and snacks, the ringside and ramp is being littered with Rock T-shirts and Merchandise that people are throwing away...



The Rock takes one last look at his former fans and throws up his signature arm taunt to the biggest heat of the night! He walks through the curtain looking absolutely disgusted with both the fans and Punk. What will tomorrow have in store for XWL? Who will be next to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk? and what will go down when the once Peoples Champion, now, bitter loser addresses his former fans? The camera cuts to show one last shot of CM Punk as The Monsters Bash goes off the air....
