[Justin Roberts]: Ladies and Gentlemen the next will be contested under one fall. The stipulation applied for the following match up is as follows. If CM Punk wins the match his ban on competing for the World Heavyweight Championship shall be lifted, however if Vince McMahon’s surprise opponent pins CM Punk, he shall be forced to serve Vince McMahon for an unspecified amount of time.

*The tension in the arena slowly builds and builds as they await the introduction of the first superstar. Murmurs begin in the crowd and more and more fans join in until the majority of the crowd is chanting “CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk!” The crowd near exploding point and the entire arena erupts into a sea of cheers and sent over the edge as they witness the sight of a certain legend walking out onto the stage, with a microphone in hand.*



*Standing on the stage is none other than the legendary announcer: Howard Finkel. The XWL show a huge sign of respect for the Hall of Famer as everybody in attendance begins chanting either “Howard Finkel” or “The Fink”. The moment is obviously very emotional for The Fink as his eyes begin to water up and he begins to thank the capacity crowd, a huge moment for him and fans alike. A few moments pass he is still thanking the attending audience so it’s quite clear to everybody that he is now just milking it, he quickly realises this and puts the microphone to his mouth quite sharpish.



[The Fink]: Ladies and Gentlemen…

*Before The Fink has any chance to finish the introduction, the crowd instantly break into cheers at the sound of the legendary announcers voice. This once again sparks a reaction from Finkel as he begins to wipe away the tears that are gathering around his eye, soon after the cheers begin to die down and The Fink once again rises the microphone to his mouth.*



[The Fink]: Introducing first! Hailing from Chicago Illinois! Weighing 218 pounds, C… M… PUNK!





*The roof damn near explodes off of the arena as CM Punk walks out onto the stage, he walks over to The Fink and shakes his hand and thanks him for the introduction before Howard waves to the crowd and disappears behind the curtain. Punk can now refocus on the upcoming match, he turns in a circle to get a look at the sold out arena before once again facing the ring and dropping to a knee. He then puts his ear onto his wrist before tapping it with the index finger on his other hand, before cupping his hands around his mouth and screaming…*



[[Punk]]:: IT’S CLOBBERIN’ TIME!!!

*He then throws a punch through the air, turns and extends his arms outwards as he begins walking backwards towards the ring. Punk turns once again to face the ring, slapping hands of the fans as he makes his way to the ring. He climbs up the steps where he stands on the apron and once again takes a look around the arena. He grabs a hold of the top rope and jumps on top of the turnbuckles, throws his arms in the air and screams…*



[[Punk]]:: BEST IN THE WORLD!!

*Punk jumps down inside the ring and continues to walk around in circles, before stopping in the centre of the ring and facing the stage. Punk begins to pace back and forth awaiting the announcement of his opponent, but he obviously becomes tired and bored of his pacing so he sits down in the middle of the ring and continues to wait. The crowd become anxious to find out who Vince’s surprise opponent is, but they continue to show their full support for Punk as they again restart to chant “CM Punk!, CM Punk!”*



[Justin Roberts]: Introducing his opponent…. Hailing from Greenwich Connecticut…

[Justin Roberts]: Shaaaaaaane McMahon!!



*Surprisingly Shane McMahon gets a huge response from the audience, most of the people in the crowd jump to that feet and applaud as they see the debuting Shane McMahon run out onto the stage in typical fashion. Camera turns to show Punk’s reaction, who seems to be pretty shocked as Shane was probably the last person he was expecting to show up for the match. When the camera returns to Shane, he is stood outside the ring, he high fives a few members of the audience before climbing up the steps and into the ring where he comes to face to face with the now standing CM Punk. Apparently not wanting to waste any time both men go into their corners and await the bell, CM Punk removes his top and throws it into the crowd and turns to stare into the eyes of Shane McMahon. The Referee checks if both men are ready and signals for the bell to be rung.

*Like a shot both men come charging out of their corners and meet in the middle of the ring and begin to trade several shots to the head, Punk eventually blocks a wild swinging hook from McMahon and locks him into a side headlock. Punk begins to wrench on the hold but McMahon manages to escape as he shoves Punk away, Punk turns around to reface McMahon but as he does he gets a slap across the face for his trouble. A look of pure anger fills CM Punk’s face and Shane realises that he may have just made a mistake, so he runs and slides under the bottom rope with Punk giving chase. With Punk hot on his heels Shane slides back inside the ring and bounces off of the opposite ropes and as Punk slides in and gets to his feet he is met by a huge flying clothesline which knocks him back down to the mat. Shane drags Punk up to his feet and locks him in a side headlock of his own, but Punk manages to escape in the same fashion as he shoves McMahon away, however McMahon bounces off of the ropes. Punk sees him coming and leapfrogs, in an odd move Punk then runs to his left forcing Shane to stop his momentum to be able to push Punk past him and as he Punk bounces off of the ropes Shane returns the favour by leapfrogging him, however Punk is able to quickly stop and as Shane turns around he is met by a slap that damn near knocks him out of his shoes, but does manage to knock him outside of the ring.*

*Shane McMahon grabs the side of his face as he gets back up to his feet, whist back in the ring Punk is jumping on his feet perhaps preparing for a dive, the crowd anticipate this and begin to get to their feet. Punk begins to run and bounces off the ropes, he charges towards the opposite side but Shane realises Punk’s intention and quickly runs out of harms way, forcing Punk to put on the brakes. Punk then climbs out of the ring to get Shane, but Shane has other ideas as he takes the chance to return into the ring, Punk follows but as he does Shane attempts an elbow drop, however Punk refuses to fall for the same trick and manages to move out of the way. Shane lies on the canvas clutching at his elbow, offering Punk the chance to return inside the ring and deliver an elbow of his own. Punk grabs Shane in another side headlock and shoves him in the corner before hitting a chop which echo’s throughout the arena, Shane grasps at his chest but doesn’t have any time to rest as Punk moves Shane’s arm and hits another chop which has twice the impact as the first, so much so that it hurts Punk’s hand as he tries to shake the pain out of it. Punk then tries an Irish whip out of the corner but Shane manages to reverse and sends Punk into the opposing corner, Shane follows up and attempts a clothesline but Punk manages to run out of the way, he bounces off the ropes and connects with a clothesline of his own which sends Shane McMahon flying over the top rope.*

*Shane lands on the floor with his feet but his momentum sends him backwards and causing him to crash into the barricade with force. He grabs at his back in pain as he gets to his feet, but he forgets to keep an eye on Punk who is now charging towards the ropes and dives through the middle rope and connecting with a suicide dive, which once again sends Shane crashing into the barricade. Punk returns to his feet and tries to hype up the crowd before grabbing Shane and throwing him in the ring, but he keeps a hold of his and drags it under the bottom rope. Punk climbs onto the apron and then up to the middle rope and dives attempting to drive his knee into Shane’s skull, but Shane manages to move out of the way causing Punk’s knee to connect with the ring apron. Punk lands on the floor with a thud and rolls around in agony clutching at his knee, Shane takes this chance to quickly catch his breathe and then tries to capitalise on the situation by exiting the ring and stomping on Punk’s injured limb. Punk shoves Shane away and tries to get to his feet but his knee buckles under the weight, forcing him down to one knee, giving Shane the chance to drive his fist into Punk’s skull.*

*Shane then throws Punk back inside of the ring, Punk uses the momentum to try and return to his feet but his knee causes him to stumble into the turnbuckles. Shane follow him and delivers a kick to Punk’s gut, forcing him into a ball in the corner, Shane then continues the offence with several more stomps and kicks to the some what defenceless CM Punk. Shane grabs hold of Punk’s injured leg and drags him into the middle of the ring, where he drives his elbow into the knee with a quick elbow drop. Shane returns to his feet and repeats this several times before releasing Punk’s leg. Shane tries to once again take Punk’s leg but Punk refuses and holds onto his knee, Shane takes this opportunity to kick Punk in the back and the moment of pain causes Punk to release his leg allowing Shane to turn him onto his stomach with a single leg Boston crab. Writhing in agony, Punk desperately tries to crawl his way over to the ropes but Shane senses he is getting closer and closer so he drags Punk back into the middle of the ring, before Shane can lock in the hold once again Punk manages to turn over onto his back and kick Shane McMahon backwards and flying under the top rope and out to the arena floor.*

*While Shane is returning to his feet, Punk crawls over to the corner and uses the ropes to help him up to his feet. Shane climbs into the ring and charges towards Punk, but he gets a kick in the gut for his trouble. Shane again tries to strike Punk but he gets another kick in the gut, Punk tries once more but Shane catches his foot and drags him away from the corner. Punk is forced to hop into the middle of the ring, where Shane trips him and jumps into a mount and begins rapidly driving punches at CM Punk’s face, the majority of which he manages to block with his wrists. Shane finally gets up and drops an elbow drop onto Punk’s chest, he attempts a quick cover but he fails to even get a one count. Shane drags Punk to his feet and tries an Irish whip, but this time it is Punk’s turn to reverse. Shane goes flying into the corner, Punk charges and tries the high knee but Shane manages to move, causing Punk to knee the top turnbuckle and then having his momentum sending him crashing to the arena floor. Punk once again clutches at his knee, he tries to get up but as he does Shane jumps off the apron and drives an axe handle smash into his kidneys.*

*Shane pushes Punk backwards before Irish whipping him into the steel steps, Punk’s knee collides with the steel and his speed forces him to flip over and almost sends him crashing into the announce tables. Shane follows and uses the steel steps to drive one more axe handle smash into Punk’s lower back, he then climbs up onto the announce table and awaits CM Punk to return to his feet, as he does he dives and connects with a flying clothesline. The back of Punk’s head hits the padding with a thud and he quickly grabs hold of it, while Shane is looking at the announce table with evil intentions. He walks over and begins tearing off the cover and removing the monitors before grabbing CM Punk and placing him on top of it. Everyone knows what Shane has in mind and begins to get out of their seats as they see him enter the ring and climb the turnbuckle, but before they can get their hopes up any further Punk rolls off of the announce table as he knows what Shane had in store for him. Shane climbs down and once again exits the ring, but as he nears Punk he gets a knee in the stomach before getting his head driven into the steel steps.*

*Shane falls to the floor in a heap and Punk uses this time to take a breather and collect his thoughts. He hits a quick kick to Shane’s chest, before he picks him up and shoves him back inside the ring. Shane tries to get to his feet, but doesn’t have the chance to as Punk is quickly in the ring and locks in a sleeper hold. He waits until Shane is closer, before wrapping his legs around Shane’s neck and forcing several elbow shots to the top of Shane’s head, Punk then lets go and returns to his feet. Shane is brought to his feet and Irish whipped into the ropes, as he rebounds he walks into Punk’s leg lariat, knocking him back onto the canvas. Punk feels the effects of this too as he holds his leg in pain, but manages to bring himself back to his feet. Punk grabs Shane, but as Shane gets to his feet he drives a quick knee into Punk’s gut and attempts a suplex, this however is blocked. Shane tries once more but it once again is blocked, Punk then lifts for a suplex of his own and then turns it into a Falcon’s Arrow. Punk covers…*

*Shane kicks out! Punk catches the arm and tries to turn the situation into the Anaconda Vise, but Shane refuses to let it happen, so instead Punk turns and traps Shane’s arm, allowing Punk the opportunity to hit Shane with several elbow strikes into his neck and chest. With every shot dealing more and more damage to Shane, but taking more and more energy from Punk. Shane starts to fade but Punk realises that he will not be able to keep up this level of offence for much longer, so he instead opts to abandon that plan and instead lifts Shane to his feet, hooks his arms and attempts to hit Welcome to Chicago. This plan doesn’t go as Punk planned, as he instead ends up getting back body dropped. Punk returns to his feet and sees that Shane is charging towards him and manages to stop any potential momentum as he connects with a sickening clothesline. Instead of attempting a pin, Punk instead places Shane in the corner and Irish whips him to the opposite side. Punk then follows up with his signature high knee but this time actually connects, but apparently dealt more damage to himself as when he tries to follow up with the bulldog, his leg gives out under the weight and forces him to a knee. Allowing Shane the opportunity to turn Punk and hit him with a spike DDT, forcing Punk to land on the top of his head in a cringe worthy way. Shane Covers…*

*Punk kicks out! After the kickout Shane waits for Punk to return to his feet, when he does he hits him with a quick punch to the jaw. Shane now begins to feel confident and he begins dancing about, before hitting another punch to the jaw, he continues to dance and winds up for one final blow but Punk ducks it. Shane turns and walks into a clothesline, he quickly jumps up and walks into yet another clothesline, on returning to his feet Shane tries a clothesline of his own but Punk ducks it and manages to spin Shane into a neckbreaker. Punk’s adrenaline begins to kick in, giving him the ability to work through his injured leg and when Shane returns to his feet Punk lifts him in the air and slams him down to the canvas with a body slam before raising one arm in the air and pointing to the sky. Punk hobbles over to the corner where he climbs onto the apron before ascending to the top rope. Punk stands tall before raising both arms in the air and diving through the air and connecting with a huge diving elbow drop. The landing however causes pain for Punk as he grabs at his leg, but he powers through and returns to his feet, his attention is drawn to the stage where Shane’s father Vince McMahon can be seen rushing down to ringside to give his son some encouragement. Staring directly at Vince, Punk puts his hands together and signals for the GTS. Punk begins to stalk Shane, waiting for him to return to his feet, Vince can be seen screaming for Shane to look out but Shane’s in a World of his own and doesn’t seem to hear him, as he gets to his feet and turns right into CM Punk who lifts him into the air. Punk turns to face Vince before throwing Shane and driving his knee into his skull. Punk covers…*

*Before the Ref can slam his hand down for the 3 count, Vince McMahon grabs hold of the Ref’s leg and drags him under the bottom rope. The two begin arguing while CM Punk looks around the ring in confusion wondering what happened, he sees the Ref outside arguing with Vince and instantly puts two and two together. He walks over but the Ref returns to the ring to stop him getting near Vince, causing Punk to instead argue with the Referee. This has given Shane enough time to recover and return to his feet, he charges to hit Punk but Punk moves and Shane manages to stop himself before hitting the Ref. Shane turns and sees Punk attempting a roundhouse kick and manages to duck it, causing Punk to take the Ref’s head off with the devastating kick. The Referee falls outside of the ring seemingly unconscious, Punk looks over but doesn’t give it a second thought as he has to counter Shane McMahon’s attack with another body slam. Punk again climbs to the top rope and just as he is about to dive Vince McMahon jumps up onto the apron and grabs his foot, causing Punk to fall groin first onto the turnbuckle before falling and landing on his neck on the canvas. Punk seems to be out of it as he is not moving, Shane crawls over and tries to pin but Vince reminds him that there is no Ref.*

*Instead from the outside Vince drags Punk closer to the corner so he is sat up and signals for Shane to climb the top rope. As Shane crawls to the other side of the ring, Vince begins to rummage around under the ring before pulling out a trash can and wedging it between the ropes in front of CM Punk. Every single fan in attendance gets to their feet as they see Shane climb to the top rope and prepare himself, Shane quickly blesses himself before leaping across the ring and drop kicking the trash can into CM Punk’s face with the Coast to Coast! This results in the fans going insane, chanting “Holy Shit! Holy Shit!” On impact Shane clearly wounded himself, he rolls around on the mat struggling to catch his breathe and while he does Vince removes the evidence from the ring. Shane finally manages to catch his breathe and as he does he grabs Punk’s foot and struggles to drag the dead weight into the middle of the ring. Shane covers but there is still no Referee, Vince begins to go nuts and signals for another referee to come down to the ring and after a few seconds pass a second XWL Referee comes sprinting onto the scene and slides into the ring for the cover…*

*KICK OUT! CM Punk miraculously is able to drive his shoulder off of the mat to stop the three count. Not a single fan in the arena is in their seat, every one of them is on their feet and applauding the great effort and match both of these superstars are putting on for them. Shane looks confused as he does not know what he can do to keep CM Punk down for the three count, Vince is in shock and begins to look like he’s about to be sick, as though accepting Punk’s deal may just backfire yet. Shane struggles to make it to his feet as his legs are very wobbly underneath him, Punk begins grabbing at Shane’s clothing to drag himself up to his own feet, while Shane is shouting abuse at him at every stage of the way. As soon as Punk makes it to his feet, Shane slaps the taste out of his mouth forcing Punk to take a step back, but as he walks forward Punk swings his foot and connects with a huge roundhouse kick. Punk falls back to the floor but Shane is out on his feet, the lights are on but nobody is home, Punk sees this and fights through the pain and forces himself back up to his feet where he lifts Shane McMahon high in the air and hits him once again with a sickening Go To Sleep!*

*Punk falls into the cover but before the Referee has a chance to count Shane’s shoulders, Vince McMahon jumps up onto the apron and grabs a hold of the Ref, refusing to let go and allow him to count the pin. The fans can be heard chanting “1… 2…3!” which means the match would be most certainly over if the Ref had the chance to count the cover. Punk releases the pin and uses the ropes to return to his feet, he turns to see the Referee once again missing his pin fall due to arguing with Vince. Punk goes to make his way over but before he can get close, something out of camera shot draws Punk’s attention, Punk turns and turns right into The Rock Bottom! The whole arena turns to boo’s in a millisecond, as The Rock just basks in their hate. The Rock then grabs Shane McMahon and drags him on top of Punk’s lifeless body before he exits the ring. Vince McMahon then finally lets go of the Referee, who turns and sees the cover…*

*Vince begins jumping up in down in celebration, a cruel smile shows itself on The Rock’s face and Shane McMahon is too out of it to realised what has happened. The Rock re-enters the ring and just stands over Punk’s motionless body, before grabbing Shane and dragging him out of the ring. Both he and Vince put Shane’s arms around their necks and begin walking up the stage, simply soaking up all of the hate that the attending audience is throwing at them. When they reach the top of the stage CM Punk begins to come to, he sits up unaware of what just happened, but as he looks up the ramp he quickly pieces together the puzzle. At that very moment a look of shock and disappointment shows itself on Punk’s face before he buries his face into his hands, as he realises he now belongs to Vince McMahon. Punk once again looks up towards Vince, Shane and The Rock and that is where he sees The Rock and Vince McMahon shaking hands, laughing to themselves. The two people that hate CM Punk with a burning passion, have joined forces for the sole purpose of making Punk’s life a living misery. The look of disappointment takes a sharp turn into rage, Punk climbs to his feet and can be seen screaming abuse down the entrance ramp aimed at both The Rock & Vince, but both men could care less. In fact the more angry CM Punk got, the more both men laughed in his face. Rock then lets go of Shane and raises both of his arms high in the air and Screams “Best in The World“ to mock Punk, before throwing him a very cheesy Rock smile. This is the final scene of the match as XWL then fades out into a hype package for the main event, the World Heavyweight Championship encounter between Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett.*

That's right JR. These two men once dominated their way through XWL. Ending careers, and both men became individual champions whilst part of The Corre.

But these friends became enemies and have tore each other apart.

Both of these men have had a storied career so far in XWL. Let's take a look back at their careers so far, starting off with The Challenger...

Justin Gabriel is a bright young man, with a huge career ahead of him. A win tonight could boost his career to heights nobody ever imagined he'd get to.

But JR.. his Career so far doesn't match up to Wade Barrett's...

An amazing year for Wade Barrett could be capped off with a win on the biggest stage of them all.

*The Bell rings the crowd go insane for the new World Heavyweight Champion. Justin Gabriel clutches his stomach on pain from the huge 450 Splash. Wade Barrett lays motionless on the mat as Gabriel manages to get to his feet*




*The Ref' raises Justin Gabriel's hand in victory*

I think it's great,Cole! A young, deserving superstar finally achieves his dream here at Final Stand.

An entire year of history between these two finally came to a end tonight! and It ends with Justin Gabriel coming out World Heavyweight Champion!

*Before the referee can hand Justin Gabriel the World Championship, Gabriel jumps out of the ring to celebrate with the crowd. Gabriel goes to ringside and dives into the crowd*



*The crowd are still all on their feet going insane for the new World Champ. After various celebrations with the audience, Gabriel gets back into the ring. Where he is handed his newly won World Title. Gabriel stares at the title in disbelief. Gabriel doesn't realise that Wade Barrett has got to his feet. Both Men just stare face to face. The crowd in anticipation of what's about to happen.....*



*Wade Barrett then extends his hand in offer to Justin Gabriel. Gabriel looking confused and unsure if to accept the hand shake. After a few moments of looking at Wade and the audience..... Gabriel Accepts! After a brutal match Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett shake hands! Wade Barrett then leaves the ring, leaving Gabriel to continue his celebration*




*Gabriel climbs onto the turn-buckle and raises up his World Title. As various Pyrotechnics go off across the arena and around the Final Stand IV sign*



*Gabriel jumps off the turn-buckle, still holding his stomach from the 450 Splash. Gabriel holds up the World Heavyweight Title as Final Stand IV fades off the air.*
