WWE 2K16 News/Rumors

We'll be getting a Stone-Cold Steve Austin Showcase, confirmed by Jerry Lawyer, with the return of Good Ol' JR on the announce-table. It is rumoured that WWE 2K16 will have the biggest roster to date.

Release Date is confirmed to be October 27th, 2015. And it will be released for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. We all know a PC version lurks tho.

The first six Superstars and Divas confirmed to appear in WWE 2K16 are:

Seth Rollins
Daniel Bryan
Dean Ambrose
Bad News Barrett
Paige
Finn Bálor

So that's good.

We'll be getting the first screen of some sort Monday.

Also, I don't think this was posted in here but:

WWE 2K16 will have the "largest playable roster in WWE history" according to 2K Games, and over on its WWE2KDev Instagram account, the publisher has backed up this claim with some proper numbers (image embedded below). Apparently the game will ship with 120 over unique 'models'.

By 'models' that means unique Superstars and Divas, not taking into account the range of different outfits for each wrestler. And to put that "over 120" unique grapplers into perspective, by comparison WWE 2K15 had only 67 unique models.

So far, 2K has confirmed only six wrestlers for WWE 2K16, including Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Bad News Barrett, Paige and Finn Bálor. Expect a whole raft of new roster announcements in the run up to WWE 2K16's launch on 27th October 2015 in North America and 30th October in Europe.
