XWL Breakdown: Valentine's Day Special 2/14/2014 - 2/21/2014

. . . XWL universe, I'm here to apologize for my actions last week at Uprising. When I heard the news about Roman Reigns getting a championship opportunity over me . . . I just, well, I lost it. And as a professional athlete, I should have more control over my emotions. What I did, and what I said, were far out of line. I'm lucky to even still have my job. I would like to personally apologize for once again laying my hands on Josh Matthews. I'm sorry, Josh, and you can be damn sure that it won't happen again. I've come to realize that I have to prove to management that I've got what it takes to be a champion, and that things aren't going to just be handed to me all willy nilly. With that said, I'd like to say that I'm sorry to Stephanie McMahon for being such a nuisance over these past few weeks. It's not my place, and I know that now. As for the XWL universe, well, I-I'm sorry for what you heard. And I'm sorry for what happened between Xavier Woods and I in our match. Even though it was his own damn fault. He could have ended both of our careers that stupid inbred- I mean, ugh, yeah. I'm sorry. I hope that you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me, thank you and goodnight. 

Kenny nods his head up and down then wipes the sweat from his forehead. Thinking that the camera is now off, he takes off his jacket and laughs. 

Man oh man, that was some shit. I mean- "I've come to realize that I have to prove to management that I've got what it takes to be a champion"!? Who in the fuck wrote this, hmmm? You don't think I have what it takes to be a champion? I am a champion you idiots! I'm Kenny King! And as far as those 'fans' out there go, they can kiss my ass. I've got nothing to apologize for! "I'm sorry for what happened between Xavier Woods and I in our match"? It was his fault! That idiot knocked his own ass out! This is funny . . . This is some shit. 

As Kenny goes to walk off screen, he's confronted by none other than Josh Matthews. You can see Josh gulp as he walks up to King, a note sheet in his hands. Kenny smirks, a look of "you've gotta be kidding me" passing over his face. 

If it isn't my good friend Josh Matthews. The same guy who reported me to Stephanie McMahon last week . . . Just how are you doing today 'pal'?

Look, Kenny, I did what I had to do. You need to stop putting your hands on me! I was- I was just doing my job! 

Yeah, whatever. Is there something that you need? 

Well, I've got a few questions to ask you, if you've got some free time . . .

For you? Anything! 

Great- great. Let's begin then, shall we?

Josh motions for the camera to come closer to him and Kenny. Once it does, Matthews clears his throat and looks down at his notes. 

Well, first off, your match with Xavier Woods at Uprising was declared a draw after he put you through the barricade and the referee counted you both out. The fans were unhappy to say the least. Will we indeed be seeing a rematch between the two of you?

I say, name the time and place and I'm there. You hear me Xavier? Things are far from over between us. You think that you can nearly end my career and get away with it? Ha ha, well, you did knock yourself out in the process, didn't you? The only reason that Xavier did what he did was because he knew that he couldn't beat me any other way. So he resorted to a double count out to end things, what a pansy. Can I face anyone in this company without them running scared? I guess I don't blame them, I am the King after all. But to answer your question short and sweet, Josh. Yes, there will be a rematch between us. When? Who knows. But soon. And everyone will see me with my hand raised high at the end of it. Mark my words. 

And what about tonight when you take on The Big Red Machine, Kane? 

Pshhh, please. The Big Red nothing. The Big Red idiot maybe . . . Look, I've beaten him in the past and I'll gladly do it again. He doesn't scare me one bit. And neither does his whole gang of freaks. Don't think for one second that I've forgotten what Brock Lesnar did to me two weeks ago. Because I haven't. He'll get what's his in due time, nobody steps over Kenny King, Josh, nobody. 

And just how do you feel about Xavier Woods going one on one with Antonio Cesaro tonight? 

Kenny freezes for a moment, much like he did last week. His arm twitches and he let's out a deep breath of air. 

. . . What?

Well- tonight, Xavier Woods takes on Antonio Cesaro. If he wins he may be considered for a United States championship match in the future . . .

Renee Young: "You may know him as Mr. Monday Night, Please welcome my a very special guest at this time, Mr. Rob Van Dam."
"So RVD, why have you been inactive for a few weeks."

Rob Van Dam: "Well Renee, I had an injury in my last match against joe, I hit my Van Terminator and ended the match."
"I injured my pelvis on the way down."
"Now I am back, and you should know me as The WHOLE F'N SHOW!."

Renee Young: "Thats great, good luck out there!"

Just as XWL Breakdown officially prepares to head to a traditional opening to tonight's show, after hearing from the outspoken Kenny King just as we went on the air. A slideshow highlighting some of the standout moments from last night's Uprising kicks off this Valentine's Day Special. New number one contender Sheamus, Roman Reigns, and Paige all flash on the screen, their hands being raised in victory, stepping up to challenge that was laid upon them at Uprising, so that they could have a chance at starting an uprising of their own by securing championship matches on the grandest stage of them all. A black and white still showing Chris Jericho standing above a bloodied Shawn Michaels, and a helplessly handcuffed Triple H. Madison Eagles smiles as she celebrates her victory over a former Divas Champion, only for utter disbelief to follow when another, her new mentor Trish Stratus, damn near kicks her head off. Sangriento went from celebrating his victory, to having his dirty secret revealed, and Amazing Red once again lost his place in XWL. But The WSA managed to bounce back from such an unfortunate event by having their very own Dean Ambrose win The World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. He's held up high by his brethren, ready to head into the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year and Main-Event it. But as the image of him fades, another appears, an attentive Ted DiBiase helping the fallen former champion Alberto Del Rio up, embracing him in a hug, pulling away giving us a frozen image of a smile finding it's way onto the defeated Del Rio...and then that image also goes black and white, as it shatters away, revealing Ted DiBiase now standing over him after putting him through the announce table. Last night left us with a lot of questions, why superstars, or even divas did what they did, who attacked Kaitlyn? What motive did Trish Stratus have to betray the woman she took under her wing? But perhaps most of all, why did Ted DiBiase in the blink of an eye, throw away three years as the fan favorite everyone could rely on?




After the official opening video finishes, we head inside the arena where fans are as always on their feet and screaming their heads off out of excitement and anticipation over tonight's show. Couples gather in the crowd, holding up signs signifying tonight's special theme, it's Valentine's Day and the XWL fans have brought their girlfriends, wives, boyfriends, husbands to tonight's festivities, making this a date night that won't disappoint. Opening pyrotechnics go off at the top of the stage, but they're different from the usual ones, they're red, pink, and white forming a sparkling heart that adds an extra special something to the start of tonight's event.


[JR]
Ladies and gentlemen, lovers from around the world allow us to welcome you to an extra special edition of Breakdown!

[King]
Tonight's not only Valentine's Day, it's the first day in the very first World Heavyweight Championship reign of The West Side Army's own Dean Ambrose.

[Michael Cole]
And what a special day it is, Dean Ambrose defeated Alberto Del Rio last night to become The World Heavyweight Champion, and I try my best to maintain a professional relationship with everyone here, but I ran backstage just as soon as the show was over and told Dean Ambrose through his locker room door just how happy I was for him.

[JR]
Through his door?

[Michael Cole]
Well, I tried to go in, but and this was totally an accident...there must have been a draft because the door suddenly flew into my face.

[King]
Oh yeah, that's exactly what happened Cole, there's no other explanation.

[JR]
Because of last night's Main-Event victory by Dean Ambrose, he will now be headlining Final Stand as World Heavyweight Champion, that's a huge accomplishment for that young man.

[Michael Cole]
Finally, a champion that embodies what it means to be not only worthy of representing XWL, but the best.

[King]
Of course, last night was not all celebrations, Dean Ambrose may have had one hell of a night, but Alberto Del Rio just had a night in hell.

[JR]
In all my years in this business, I have never been so caught off guard by another man's actions. It's bad enough Alberto failed to retain his title despite giving it all he had, but to be absolutely destroyed directly after in a shocking turn of events by Ted DiBiase...now that's just something no man nor woman could have predicted.

[Michael Cole]
I've had a little time to mull over what happened, and I don't like Ted by any means, but the way that the fans treated him after what he did....I'm starting to understand why he did it. For three years he stood up for them, he fought for them, he pandered to them, he did everything they could want a guy like Ted to do, and it's almost like his "DiBiase Posse" betrayed him, not the other way around.

[King]
How on Earth did they betray him?

[Michael Cole]
Like I said, I don't like the guy, but he went from their hero, to the villain within a minute, if they're so quick to turn on him, for something he hasn't even had a chance to explain himself over, then what does that say about them?


[JR]
No matter how you try and justify it, I refuse to believe that there's any sort of reason that can excuse what he did. Now I don't know about you King, but I'd like to just move on and hope that Ted is man enough to come out here and at least apologize for his actions.

[King]
He didn't seem very sorry last night, but I suppose sleeping on it could have him realize what he did was a mistake, we can only hope.

[Michael Cole]
Anyways we'll hear from him later in the show, but tonight in The Main-Event, XWL is playing Matchmaker and The Divas Champion will have the honor of being The New World Champion's arm candy.

[JR]
I'd hardly say that, it'll be interesting to see how they coexist, but I'm looking forward to see who the fans decide should face them.

[King]
You and me both, tonight's going to be a great start to the official countdown to Final Stand!

[JR]
Everyone's going to be out to make sure that they're apart of that historic event, so-

Giving JR no time to finish, nor any time for one of his fellow commentators to continue the conversation, the stage lights up, and what appears to be Ted DiBiase's new theme soon plays. The fans react in a way that they typically don't when Ted's presence becomes known. Due to the events that transpired, and the questions it left, the majority do not break out in a loud cheer as usual, the majority in fact begin to boo....but there is a slight group of fans that cheer, though they're heavily drowned out and almost impossible to tell apart from the others.






Casually stepping through the curtain, Ted emerges out from the back, and is greeted in the least welcoming fashion. He however, just like last night, isn't the least bit bothered by this. In fact, you could almost come to the idea that he doesn't care. Tightly gripping a microphone, ready to have himself be heard, he starts to skip down the ramp for only two seconds, before stopping himself, looking around at his "Posse" and walking the rest of the way down the isle. Ignoring any extended hand, paying no mind to those wishing for him to sign something for them, he avoids all contact from the fans, as if he were quitting cold turkey.


[King]
Well I think our optimism isn't going to work out, I haven't ever seen Ted blatantly ignore his fans like that.

[JR]
This is all so strange, what's gotten into him?

[Michael Cole]
Because he's not in the mood to play the good guy for one night, that justifies bad mouthing him? Weren't you two just talking about how great Ted was last night? You're almost as bad as this so called "Posse."


Making a beeline for the ring, Ted jumps up planting his knee on the apron, gliding up to a standing position before looking out at one specific fan. A perhaps more loyal but questioning young fan that holds a "DiBiase Posse" sign and a look as if he were about to cry seeing Ted act like this, but holding out hope that there's something more to this. Ted rolls his eyes stepping into the ring, and gazing out into the masses, smirking at the sight and sound of them reacting so highly against him.




[JR]
There better be a damn good reason for the way he's acting.

[Michael Cole]
Why does he have to have a good reason? This is his career, if these people were truly his fans, they wouldn't be treating him this way.

His music fades out, the chorus of boos now singing a song throughout the building, the emotions the "betrayed" DiBiase Posse have are very strong, they're conflicting, but they're all alike in one sense, they're confused. Ted twirls the microphone between his fingers, stepping closer to the center of the ring, gathering everyone's full attention before he decides now is the time to address them.





If I didn't know any better, I'd say you people were angry with me...but surely my loyal, supportive, and understanding DiBiase Posse would never be upset with me? We've been through a lot together, I was lost, but then because of you, I was found! Was blind, but now I see, the light! You saved me from myself, you allowed me to BE myself! Never judging me, never once questioning me, you're with me till the very end, and that...that means a lot.


DiBiase's tone is indescribable, his words seem genuine, but there's a slight hint of animosity undermining what he's saying. This keeps the jam packed arena still split for the moment, though again the more upset fans seem to outweigh the question filled ones.





The support you have shown me over the last three years, the love that I have felt, it...it warms my heart. To be able to come out here each and every night, greeted by people that TRULY care about me, that is what has kept me going. Without you, where would I be? I'm forever grateful for you, The DiBiase Posse is the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I have you to thank for that.


His words seem to be calming the crowd, it came across a tad angry at first, but Ted's had a temper, that's a known fact...maybe this is him explaining himself, giving The DiBiase Posse the answers they've needed since Uprising went off the air.




With your love, your trust, your belief in me, I have moved mountains! I have overcome unspeakable odds, I have buried alive The Undertaker, I have knocked out The Bare Knuckle Brawler, I have survived a fall through Hell in a Cell, I have won The World Heavyweight Championship, I've had the will to fight a seemingly never ending war for my job back, and I have won The Money in The Bank! Securing a title shot whenever WE want it, so that WE can get back what was wrongfully taken from us. All thanks to you, my LOYAL fans!

An almost emotional moment, a reminder of their journey together softens the reaction even more...but the way he finished that last sentences, the tone in his voice, the look on his face, it did not match what he was saying.





Loyalty is a funny thing, once it's broken, it's irreparable. Unlike bones, muscles, and tendons, loyalty isn't something that can be patched up, wrapped up in a forgiving sling, the pain never truly goes away! You try and you try, you remember all the good times that were had, but then you realize something, if you forgive and do your damnedest to forget, you're only leaving yourself open to be hurt again. Remember Edge? I remember Edge, he's the man that screwed me out of The World Heavyweight Championship, he's the man that showed no remorse for that very fact...and he's the man you all so quickly forgave!





The man that was instrumental in me having one of the worst years in my entire life...but he said he was sorry, so all was forgiven. All wrongs were undone, Edge was a good guy now, and I had no right to hold any sort of resentment towards him, I had no right to harbor any thoughts of revenge against him. How foolish of me to want to make the man that helped get me fired, pay for what he put me through! I mean how out of line was I?! You said he was good, you cheered him, so that meant he was off limits, isn't that right? That I had to forgive him right then and there, that I didn't have ANY justification in doubting the little angel.


The partially open door of understanding has since slammed shut, the fans are realizing that this isn't just Ted trying to explain himself, he's speaking ill of their decision to believe that a man could change...when that's exactly what they believed when it came to Ted over three years ago.





Will somebody please tell me how that one turned out? Was he rehabilitated, was he really sorry for all the bad things he had done?! ANSWER ME THAT! Oh, but you can't, because you won't...because YOU can never be wrong, but me? Oh the minute I do something you don't like, I'M WRONG! I wasn't wrong then, and I'm NOT wrong now! You flocked back to me in November when you realized he made fools of you, that he used you to show me how quickly you'll turn against someone when given an empty apology! Oh I'm changed, I'm going to be a better person, I'm SO sorry! Let's kiss and make up now, or you could just kiss my ass!

And there's our answer right there...

[Michael Cole]
Where has that passion been all this time?! You tell those flip flopping fools, Ted!


That last remark shattered any hope of them going back on how they feel, they begin to boo, and they begin to rip up any signs they had in support of him! Throwing the ripped up posters to the ground, rising up in protest for how he's speaking to them, but it doesn't phase him in the slightest.




You didn't even give me the chance to explain why I attacked Alberto Del Rio, you don't even care do you? All that matters is that you didn't like it, so that makes me the bad guy, doesn't it? You know over the years, I've had people tell me that you'll sell me down the river one day, that you'll betray me, and like a gullible goof, I defended you! Where's my defense, huh? Where's the support, where's the love NOW?! You people never gave a damn about me, you don't give a damn about any of us, we risk our lives every time we step in this ring, to entertain YOU and for what?! A pop when our music hits? A few signs in the crowd telling people that we're the ones you came to see? An extra bonus every now and then for moving shirts, caps, sweaters, phone cases, gnomes, and god knows what else this company tricks you into buying?!





God I've been such a FOOL! If I could take it all back now I would, I'd tell you all to go to hell the second you showed an interest in me! I'm Ted DiBiase The Next World Heavyweight Champion, I'm the ONE who matters! You're just a fickle flock that'll get behind the next poor sap that believes you actually care about him!


Now unified as a whole, "The DiBiase Posse" joins together to boo him, the things he says, and the "lies" he speaks of.




Go ahead, BOO ME! Your power over me is gone, I'm my own my man, this is my Posse, NOT YOURS! What I say goes, and what goes? IS YOU! Effective immediately, consider all of your memberships to The DiBiase Posse, officially...TERMINATED!


[King]
Ted just kicked everyone out of The DiBiase Posse?!

[JR]
Everyone, but apparently himself.

[Michael Cole]
I love it! It's his name on the damn thing anyways, he's the one that matters, so if they don't like it, they can hit the road find some new bandwagon to drive into the ground!

[King]
But The DiBiase Posse is the fans, you can't have a Posse with only one person...

[Michael Cole]
Well from the looks of it, Ted says otherwise.


Ted throws the microphone to the canvas, boos drowning out any other sound in the building, they already didn't want anything to do with him after how he's acted...but Ted "kicking them out" of The DiBiase Posse when he knew that anyways has set them off even more than they already were. "A building "You suck" chant grows and grows until Ted responds by flashing that "cheesy" smile he's been known for. But that's not all he does, that's just the first part of him acting like an ass. He shouts out just as loud as he can, in a mocking tone..."DIBIASE POSSE!" before pointing both thumbs at himself and smiling so smugly that it just enrages them even further!


[JR]
I never thought I'd see the day...DiBiase's turned his back on the XWL fans.

[Michael Cole]
Uh correction, they turned their backs on him! I hate the guy, he's been nothing but a thorn in my side, but they supposedly loved him, and look how quickly that love turned to hate!

Adding even more insult to the situation, Ted looks dead into the camera, and at all of the angry fans, and delivers his twist on a popular break up line..."It's not me, it's you!" That's the last thing we get out of DiBiase, for we begin to fade away now knowing two things that we didn't know before tonight's show. Ted's his own man, and apparently his own Posse too.

It was the night the Ryder Revolution has been waiting for. It was the night the one and only Zack Ryder makes his in ring debut. The fans were buzzing, they could not wait to see the ultimate underdog get in the ring and tangle with one of the best of the best, Dolph Ziggler. The camera cuts backstage to the personal locker room of Zack Ryder. The Ryder Revolution leader was buzzing, he could not stand still, this was his moment, this was his chance to show the world what he was made of. He adjusts his shades on his face and grins as he looks down at the camera.

Woo, Woo, Woo there my fellow Ryder Revolution members. The night you have all been waiting for is finally here. Tonight I make my debut and I could not be more pumped for it. Bros seriously I have been hitting the gym, I have been training, I have been drinking my energy drinks. Red Bull, Boost, Relentless, Monster, Rockstar, you name it bro I have drank it all for this night. Now I know Dolph Ziggler better than anyone and I have heard from other people here that he is pissed off, now I don’t know why he is pissed off and it doesn’t really bother me because tonight I am bringing my A-Game, tonight I am showing the world that I am not just another underdog, tonight I start my Revolution and the first person to fall to the Ryder Revolution will be the ultimate show-off, Dolph Ziggler.

Zack Ryder would take a step backwards as the camera pans outwards. Zack Ryder points of camera as the camera moves to get a shot of a massive figure of Naruto. It seems that while Zack Ryder was at comic-con he could not help himself but purchase this wonderful model. Zack Ryder moves to the model and smirks once again as he reaches upwards and places his hand upon it.

Now bros, I know what Dolph is thinking, he doesn’t see me as any kind of threat. I know he sees me as this weakling, as no one to take seriously, but to get real for a minute, if Dolph underestimates me, it will be is undoing. You see this bro here, this bro is called Naruto. Now I know what you are all thinking, who the hell is this guy. Well let me tell you. This guy right here, this bro is exactly like me. He was an underdog. He was underestimated. He was insulted. He was beaten. He was pushed down time and time again and everyone never had faith in him. But this bro right here, he brushed it all of. He pulled himself together and he ignored the insults. He wanted to be the best, he wanted to prove he was not a nobody, that he was not a weakling. This little bro, he had a dream and he chased it. He trained and worked day in and day out and in the end he turned all the haters in his friends and he proved that he was not an underdog; he proved he was the best and no one ever underestimated this bro again. I am like Naruto. I am underestimated. No one takes me seriously, but I am going to do what this bro done. I am going to prove everyone wrong. I have dream, I have a goal and I am chasing it and I am not going to stop. Win or lose tonight, it doesn’t matter I am going to make sure that Dolph remembers my name, I am going to make sure Dolph and everyone else here sees that the Ryder Revolution is real and it cannot be stopped.

Zack Ryder would then step away from the model of Naruto as he then has the camera focus back on him once again. He pushes his glasses up to the top of his head as he begins to speak once again.

Dolph, all joking aside. I know what you got bro. I know what you can bring. I know you are trying to make a name for yourself. You want everyone to forget you were a cheerleader. You want everyone to forget you used to jump and roll around on the ground with four other men and bro that’s cool with me, but tonight is not about you. It is about me bro. It is about me making my debut and making a name for myself. So bro I want your best, because I am bringing my best. I am not going down easy, I am no push other bro. You’re going to have to seriously hurt me tonight if you want this win, because as a leader of the Ryder Revolution I cannot let me people down. We have one goal and only one goal and that’s to see Zack Ryder make it to the top and bro I am going to make it to the top and you are not going to stop me.

*As Breakdown returns from a commercial break, we are greeted by Renee “GOD DAMN!” Young, microphone in hand and a big, bright smile on her face.*


[Renee Young]
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Renee Young, and welcome back to this very special edition Valentine’s Edition of Breakdown. Now, please help me welcome my guest at this time, former XWL World Heavyweight Champion and “The Dashingly Insane” Cody Rhodes!

*Cody steps out onto the set, with his signature sinister smirk on his face, but before Renee can even ask him a question, he begins speaking.*


[Cody Rhodes]
Wow, Renee, can you feel it in the air? There is no day quite like Valentine’s Day. Everyone is full of love, joy, and they’re all just so caring. I mean, doesn’t it just warm your heart to see everyone in such high spirits? When a day like Valentine’s Day comes around, it feels like all is right in the world. Like nobody could do wrong, and like we’re all just gonna get along. It’s great, even if the feeling only lasts for a mere twenty-four hours because we all get the chance to love one another. Unfortunately for myself, Renee, things haven’t been looking up for me in recent months. After losing my World Heavyweight Championship last year at Supremacy, my life has taken a downward spiral. I was defeated at an Eye for an Eye and put through a giant spotlight, and I turned my aggression towards all the great people in the XWL Universe. I formed an alliance with my best friend, Joey Ryan, known as Dashingly Sleazy, but now Joey has been put on the sidelines and we haven’t seen him for months. The Rock has been injured too, which upsets me mainly because I haven’t anyone to beat up on for awhile. I guess what I’m trying to say, Renee, is that I need something to pick me up… and I’m all alone this year… so... will you be my valentine?

[Renee Young]
Oh, Cody, that’s sweet but…

*Suddenly, before Renee can even finish her sentence, Cody begins to cackle, causing her to become flabbergasted. She looks baffled, squinting with her mouth open, as Cody continues to laugh besides her. Eventually, he stops abruptly and looks her dead in the eyes before speaking.*


[Cody Rhodes]
ATTENTION PLEASE. I was just kidding, Renee, I would never want you to be my valentine! Look, I may be a lot of things, but the last thing I am is desperate. And to ask you out… man, that’s pretty desperate. Besides, I HATE Valentine’s Day. Out of every single Holiday there is, there is none I detest more than Valentine’s Day. Christmas is the only one that comes close to it. You want to know why I hate this holiday of “love” so much, Renee? It’s because it’s nothing more than a lie, a facade. For one day a year, people pretend to love and care for each other and it down right disgusts me. Why can’t people be honest with each other? People are cruel, vicious, and despicable by nature deep down on the outside. Yet, every year on Valentine’s Day they all pretend to give a damn about each other for a bundle of roses and some chocolate? It’s never made much sense to me Renee, but maybe it’s just because of the type of person I am. The one true love I have is hurting people, and more specifically; the XWL Universe. I know my mere presence gets them all riled up, and that is enough to warm my heart on this very special night.

[Renee Young]
Um, okay… moving on. Tonight you finally return to the ring for the first time since November to Remember against Kazarian, any thoughts? Any concerns of ring rust?


[Cody Rhodes]
Ring rust? Renee, do you know who you’re talking to? I know this is our first interview together, but that simply offends me. I am XWL’s Finest, the Dashingly Insane, the true XWL World Heavyweight Champion. I am Cody Rhodes and I do not get ring rust. Why? Because there is nobody in that locker room, across the globe from the United States to Japan that can hold a candle to my talents or lace a pair of my boots. There’s a reason why I can take half a year off, come back and win the World Championship. It’s because I am just that damn good. I have a talent that can’t be lost, and it certainly can’t be replicated by anyone else in this world. That ring is my playground and tonight, I get to prove to the whole world why. Maybe you're acting foolish because I haven’t been in the ring for three months and the world just forgot, but tonight I’m going to make them all remember. And they will never forget what it’s like to see Cody Rhodes do what he does best after tonight, that is a guarantee. No, a guaran-damn-tee. I’m a man of my word and that is just one of the many things I’m going to prove out there tonight.

As for Kazarian, I can’t say I’ve had the pleasure of making acquaintances with him as of yet. I’m sure he’s a capable competitor, I know that he’s wrestled all around the world, picking up multiple titles along the way. He’s good, maybe even great, but he’s not Cody Rhodes. There is nobody quite like myself, and unfortunately for Kazarian, tonight he’s going to learn that the hard way. He’s going to learn what it’s like to step in the ring with a more focus, determined, dangerous, and rejuvenated Cody Rhodes. Two weeks ago I made the promise that I would reclaim my World Heavyweight Championship in 2014, and Kazarian is the first step in that process. After I defeat Kaz one… two… three in the center of the ring later on tonight, this company is going to keep lining up challenger after challenger to me. I’ll gladly knock them all down, and anyone else who stands in front of me and the World Heavyweight Championship. I don’t care if it’s Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio, or even Ol’ Crybaby Ted; nobody can stop me from reclaiming what’s mine.


[Renee]
Cody, I’m glad you brought up Ted DiBiase. At Uprising we saw Ted take out Alberto Del Rio and turn his back on the “DiBiase Posse.” I figure you, more so than anyone else, would have something to say about this.

*Cody begins to laugh at Renee’s question before finally speaking himself. He looks up to the ceiling, pretending like he’s trying to think of something to say *

Hmm… let me think of what to say. Oh, I know! How about I told you so? I spent two years of my life trying to warn all of these people about Ted DiBiase. I told them all he was a fake, nothing more than your average liar or a con man. I warned them that as soon as he saw the opportunity to launch himself to a higher place, he’d stabbed them in the back and leave them behind in the dust. Of course, the motif in my life is that these people never have, and never will believe me. They all turned their backs to me, if they weren’t looking at me like I had two heads. But, if you wanted me to be honest, I don’t really care. I hated Ted way before it was cool. I’m the like the father of Ted hating. These people are two years late to the party and I would almost enjoy seeing Ol’ Crybaby Ted winning the World Heavyweight Championship and rubbing it in their faces if I didn’t hate him so much myself. If you do somehow manage to win that title, Ted, just be sure to keep it warm for yours truly, because I would love to be the one who takes it away from you again.

[Renee Young]
Now, Cody, before you go there’s just one final question I’d like to ask you. Any updates on the whereabouts of Joey Ryan? When he’ll be returning to the company?

*After Renee’s finished asking her questions, Cody seems to slip into some sort of a trance. He turns away from Renee and stares off into the distance, making no movements. He puts his head down, scratching it before looking back up and staring at Reene, solemn. He blinks, tilts his head a little bit and simply smiles at Renee, giving her the creeps.*

*Cody ignores her, turning around and precipitously walking off of the set, leaving Renee confused and alone. She turns to the camera and shrugs as Breakdown heads back to the live arena.*

As an image comes to focus, we’re greeted to the scene of resident XWL interviewer, Jeremy Borash kicking around backstage, although this doesn’t appear to be the same venue we saw earlier in the night…

Welcome back to Breakdown folks! This is none other than JB, Jeremy Borash here, and I’m not quite live, but instead airing on tape delay! Now don’t worry, I’m not a fortune teller or anything, but chances are I’ve made it back to the states okay and I’m  somewhere backstage ready to speak with the fine men and women that make up the XWL roster. Some of you may find yourselves asking “Hey, what’s the big deal, JB? Where are you?” Well guys, I took a little trip overseas so that I could visit a good friend of mine, and, no, I’m not talking about Kana. That’s right folks, I’m in Japan right now, and it’s been awhile since I’ve said this but I’m standing next to Detroit’s Finest, The Technical Messiah… Alex Shelley!

-Alex Shelley-
You’re right, JB, it has been awhile, and I’m not pointing any fingers or anything but maybe it wouldn’t have felt like such a long time had you sent me a postcard every now and then or even a gift basket filled with snacks and spare batteries for my Xbox controller.

-Jeremy Borash-
Well Alex, usually it’s the person on the trip who sends the postcards to let people back home know how things are going.



-Alex Shelley-
While that may be true in ordinary circumstances, it’s easy to keep up with my antics if you follow me on twitter and you are following me on twitter, right?

Of course I am! In fact, I noticed that you tweeted right before your match earlier that while you were sad this would be your last night here in Japan for quite some time, XWL was calling your name and it was time you answered her call. When exactly will you be back?

I’ve been getting asked that a lot, and it’s time to come clean. I’ve just signed a brand spanking new contract that kicks into effect… you ready for this, JB?

-Alex Shelley-
Well it seems that you’ve replaced ol’ Alex as your number one interview subject with those clowns Bad Influence.

-Jeremy Borash-
Oh come on now, it’s nothing like that, Alex, I was just doing my job. I came all that way to Japan just to get the exclusive interview with you.



-Alex Shelley-
You make a strong argument, and now that I’ve had a quick second to think about it, I’m not as jealous as I was before. In fact, I feel a little sorry for you.

-Jeremy Borash-
Sorry?... For me? Just why might that be?

-Alex Shelley-
Well I can’t even imagine having to be around those two and listening to them speak. I mean, who says “business” like that? It’s a complete insult to the English language and I’m sorry that you were forced to listen to that.

-Jeremy Borash-
Thank you for that Alex and I take it that you aren’t fans of Bad Influence then?

Something about them rubs me the wrong way but I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly that is.

Perfect! I’m sure he would appreciate Bad Influence brightening up his day; they’d definitely be a step up from Kenny King.

He seemed pretty upset about not wrestling for a shot at the United States Championship at Uprising.



-Alex Shelley-
Well, maybe if he wasn’t such a terrible champion he’d be higher up on their list.

-Jeremy Borash-
Ooh, cutting a little deep with that one.

-Alex Shelley-
I’m not saying anything Kenny doesn’t already know deep down inside.  Only the best of the best America has to offer should be holding that belt because the United States Champion is someone who embodies the things that make this country great. So who better to fight for the belt at Final Stand than Roman Reigns and Antonio Cesaro?

-Jeremy Borash-
You mean two guys who aren’t even American?



-Alex Shelley-
Exactly, this just goes to show what a fine land America is for allowing Reigns and Cesaro to live here and at Final Stand they’re going to show how grateful they are for the opportunity by duking it out to become champion.

-Jeremy Borash-
Meanwhile, you don’t seem to have any plans for Final Stand yourself. We saw your recent war of words with John Morrison over the past two weeks. Is there something in the works?

-Alex Shelley-
I wouldn’t get your hopes up, you know how John can be sometimes. He hasn’t been the same since he and Damien Sandow went their separate ways and we finally saw him break down.

-Jeremy Borash-
He came back and completely turned his back on the fans.



-Alex Shelley-
Then he took his anger out on Kofi Kingston and tried to do the same to me but getting me riled up is a lot easier said than done.

-Jeremy Borash-
You two do have some history and have crossed paths a few times over the years. You’re saying you’re not tempted to close the chapter on that saga?

-Alex Shelley-
Oh, it’s tempting, believe me. But if there’s going to be any chapter it’s going to be on my terms, not because Morrison tried to make me victim of the week. The last time I got sucked into that kind of conflict was against Kurt Angle…

-Jeremy Borash-
Where we saw you end that rivalry by bashing in his skull in with a steel chair then cover him with the American Flag at Final Stand…



-Alex Shelley-
And I never want to be put in a position where I have to go to such great lengths to keep another man down. That kind of hatred does something to you, JB… it changes you and I don’t want to feel that way again.

-Jeremy Borash-
Well speaking of things changing a person, I’m sure you’ve already been made aware about the situation between Chris Sabin and Daniel Bryan. How do you feel about what happened?

-Alex Shelley-
I wish it didn’t have to come to that, but Chris is his own man. He also contributed to 95% of my pocket money and with him out of the picture it looks like I’m going to have to find a new source of income.

-Jeremy Borash-
Really? You were a former champion, one of XWL’s top stars. One would think you’d make enough to get by.



-Alex Shelley-
There are a lot of videogames out there, JB, a lot of women to court and a hell of a lot of hijinks and extracurricular activities to invest in. What XWL pays me isn’t enough to cut it; not in this economy.

-Jeremy Borash-
So what are you planning to do?

-Alex Shelley-
I put a lot of thought into this, JB. While I was here, I tried selling autographs, t-shirts, 8x10s of myself and even threw in some Alex Shelley action figures but it wasn’t enough when you factor in the exchange rate and the fact that I was selling these things for less than I paid. So now I’m looking at plan D.

-Jeremy Borash-
What went wrong with plans B and C?



-Alex Shelley-
I don’t want talk… it was a dark time in my life, okay?

-Jeremy Borash-
I’m sorry, Alex, I didn’t realize… so plan D…

-Alex Shelley-
Plan D! Right. I’m starting a business, JB. A little something on the side that will no doubt make me the richest man in XWL in no time flat…. Something I like to call Paparazzi Productions! You don’t have to say anything, JB, I can see the dollar signs in your eyes. Of course you can join up! We could use someone of your talents working with us.

-Jeremy Borash-
That’s very nice of you… Hey wait, “we?” You already got someone else signed up for this?

Shelley grins and pulls Borash into a two-man huddle so that their backs are facing the camera. As Shelley explains everything to his new business associate, the screen fades to black leaving us in suspense as Breakdown rolls on.

Outside the arena, a bus is sitting in the parking lot and right away from the decal on its side it’s easy to see who this vehicle belongs to. The camera pans around the driver’s side of the tour bus, slowly revealing the words, “The West Side Army” gets to the back of the bus, and slowly moves down the passenger’s side before finally resting by the open doors of the bus where Don West can be seen sitting in the stairwell.

Unaware of the cameraman’s presence, West sits there with his head in one hand, taking deep sighs as he tries to collect his composure before setting foot in the arena. The fingers of his other hand grip Sangriento’s old mask tightly, a memento of the better times when the two men stood side by side but now half of that duo is gone and the mask in his former promoter’s hand is all that remains. West finally looks up to see the cameraman taking footage of this private moment and West shakes his head somberly.



-Don West-
What are you here for, huh? To get the low down? The inside scoop on how The West Side Army’s namesake is holding up after Uprising went down in history as both the best and worst night of my career? Well let me tell you, it sucks; there’s no doubt about it. There’s no other way to put it other than to say at the top of my lungs with my head held high that what happened at Uprising was a disgrace and everybody involved in that decision should be ashamed in that. Of course, I’m not talking about Ryback becoming a member of the group again; I’m not talking about Sara Del Rey teaching AJ a lesson; I’m damn sure not talking about Dean Ambrose reaching a point in his career that he never has before!…

-Don West-
I’m talking about the way Stephanie McMahon fired Amazing Red without even batting an eyelash. Stephanie McMahon goes on and on about how Paul Heyman is a thorn in her rear, but when she goes and pulls a move that plays right into Heyman’s hands and makes him the happiest man in the world, what am I supposed to think about that? Critics are coming out of the woodworks, kept silent since The West Side Army turned a new leaf giving them nothing to harp on, crying out, “Don, how could you be upset? You should have let Amazing Red serve out his suspension.” How DARE you say that? How dare you tell me that I was supposed to sit back and let weeks be wasted of my client’s career when he hired me to make him a STAR?



-Don West-
Amazing Red called me up and said, “Mr. West, I’ve seen your work in TNA, how you could sell ice to an eskimo, shampoo to a bald man, beer to CM Punk! Well, I’m looking to break through in XWL, and I need someone like you to help me out. See, I’m not much of a talker; I like to let my work in the ring do the speaking, but these days that’s not enough.” I stopped him right there and told him, “Red, I’m your man! Consider yourself XWL’s next big thing!” He was depending on me! I promised him that he’d be looking down on everyone else from the mountaintop in no time and I let him down. I let him get caught up in Antonio Cesaro and Shawn Michaels’ shenanigans all leading up to that match where Shawn Michaels was fired!

-Don West-
He was fired but they let him waltz back into the company before the next week was even through, meanwhile Red was told he was suspended indefinitely. What does indefinitely even mean? How could they tell Red that he couldn’t come back “just yet” while opening the doors for that old fart to come back to where he wasn’t wanted? When people were getting tired of Breakdown, Amazing Red showed up and gave them hope. He was the future of this company, a break from the same old, a man they could believe in and each and every night he stepped into that ring and put those other so-called professionals to shame!



-Don West-
Red made them all look like rookies in that ring and they hated him because there was nothing they could do about it. If you want to get stronger all you need to do is spend a couple of weeks in the gym. If you want to up your technical game all you have to do is brush up on your submission holds. If you want to be more hardcore all you have to do is lose your self-respect. But if you want to do the things that Red did, that he still can do, you don’t have a prayer because you just can’t teach yourself what comes naturally to him. The way he defied gravity, the instinct that always gave him the upper-hand in a match, his ability to make his body do things that should even be possible is how he separated himself from the pack and put himself on a completely different level.

-Don West-
You would have to be out of your mind to sit there and tell me that there was any man on that roster hotter than Red was last year. So what if he didn’t make it into King of the Ring? Everybody stopped caring about the tournament when he was eliminated. Everyone only cared about the Elimination Chamber match because Red was trying so hard to get in. Nobody gave a damn about the champions because Red wasn’t holding any of the belts even though he deserved to have all of them! You can laugh and you can write this off as my opinion, well the joke’s on you buddy because it's a cold, hard fact that people weren’t tuning in to see Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho or The Miz, they bought tickets because of Amazing Freakin’ Red and he’s the reason why they left the show feeling like they got more than their money’s worth!



-Don West-
That’s the man who they told to sit on the sidelines… a man who gave every single thing a human possibly could to this company. Are you kidding me? I couldn’t let that slide. Red was miserable, and it only got worse when good ol’ HBK appeared on his TV screen while he was still being told to stay home. Talk about no justice in this world; talk about life not being fair; talk about a slap in the face! That was the final straw and soon the character of Sangriento was created. The plan was fool proof, or it was supposed to be anyway. We’d fool the company into thinking I got a new client, Red would get to keep doing what he loved and when we received word the suspension was lifted we’d pretend Sangriento never existed! Then Paul Heyman had to show up.

-Don West-
We couldn’t just have Sangriento up and disappear in the middle of a war with Brock Lesnar and thanks to Brock Lesnar the big secret was revealed in front of the thousands in attendance. Then out came Stephanie to pour scalding hot water on the wound. I had half a mind not to show up tonight in an act of protest because it wasn’t just another one of my clients that was fired, it was one of my best friends! Amazing Red was there from the beginning before there was a West Side Army and everyone who became a part of it to take this league by storm… Without Red there’d be no Don West and I owe it to him to find a way to get him his job back even if it’s the last thing I do! I will not rest until that wrong is righted.



-Don West-
Stephanie must have had a big plate of crap for lunch that day because she’s full of it if she really thinks that XWL can survive without the man who was one of the lone bright spot throughout the dark times. The repercussions are already being felt; people are commenting on every bit of social media saying, “Where’s Red?” Some people are threatening the boycott the company; they won’t watch or buy anything related to XWL. I’ll be surprised if a riot doesn’t break out in the arena before the night is through! These people want Amazing Red, this company needs Amazing Red, because that name isn’t just for show, it’s a way of life! It’s a standard that he’s set for himself and it’s allowed him to reach a level that few other men in this company can get to.

-Don West-
This week I’m playing it safe. I’m not going to come at Stephanie all gung-ho with my guns blazing, especially when the Brad Maddox situation hasn’t been resolved because he was too big of a coward to step into the ring with Mark Henry at Uprising. If there’s anyone to blame for causing Stephanie to make the rash-decision that she did, it’s that prick right there. He had to stick his nose in a business where he didn’t belong. He tried to do things his way, running around this place like a chicken without a head and now we’re paying the price because he went and made a fool of himself. But I’m not going to let Maddox or Stephanie or Heyman ruin tonight for The West Side Army, because even though Red is gone he’s not forgotten and he won’t be abandoned and nothing can change all the good things that happened at Uprising.



-Don West-
Tonight we celebrate Dean Ambrose becoming World Champion by watching him get into the ring with the only other man in this company who’s on his level in The Big Guy, Ryback. The days of Paul Heyman using him as a pawn are over, you hear me? OVER!! He's  back to doing what he does best without having to look over his shoulder or listen to the words of a man he despises. Layla and AJ are just tagging along for the ride because those two men are going to put on a match that will blow every other match tonight out of the water and that’s a guarantee. AJ thinks she’s clever and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that her being teamed up with Ryback was her big idea. Well I hope she enjoys being in his shadow because this is as close as she’s getting to Sara Del Rey from here on out.

-Don West-
The Queen of Wrestling doesn’t have time to waste with sore losers, and while the record books will show that at Uprising AJ walked away with a win she was barely conscious to enjoy, everyone who was there will know the truth: that Sara put her to shame. At Uprising, the rest of the divas got a glimpse of what their future champion looks like and I hope that they enjoy Layla and Paige at Final Stand because after that night, those two will become an afterthought when The Queen reigns supreme and makes XWL her Queendom. Paige likes to crucify the models who walk around this company, but there’s no doubt in my mind that she’s only been handed the amount of opportunities she's been given because she’s not so bad to look at herself.



-Don West-
Sara, on the other hand, has become the best women’s wrestler in the world by sheer will and hard work and she’ll only need one chance, one match to prove that there’s no one in this company that can touch her. Sara once told me that she doesn’t have a problem with the models or the Barbie  dolls and even feels that they have a place in this company… that place being not in her way. The same holds true for Dean Ambrose because if you think you can stop him you're just going to get hurt. I hope all eyes are on him because he’s going to be on top for a very, very long time, Final Stand and beyond. He’s been scratching and clawing to be in this position for years and he’s not the kind of guy who’s going to let this moment go to waste… but I’ll let him tell you all that and more himself  later on tonight.

West rises from the stairs and begins walking away from the bus and towards the arena. After he opens the arena doors and steps inside the screen fades to black as Breakdown heads to a commercial break.

As a XWL exclusive begins, it turns to a graveyard, where many gravestones has either crumbled and fell apart, or some gang members played a joke, and spray painted inappropriate words on the entire gravestone. The cameras that are recording the footage turn to their left, as we see a group of African Americans, one of them being a priest, the other, R-Truth. The priest, who name is Jon, starts to begin the ceremony.

We are gathered here today, in holy matrimony, to respect, and remember the life of a young boy today. His name was....

Jon goes over to Ron to ask what the young boys name was, as he was never told who the boy was called.

Jon
Lil' Jimmy. This boy was a trill seeker! He always would play on the monkey bars, kick the ball around, and...um....

Ron walks over to Jon and whispers something into his ear. Afterwards, he heads back into his seat.

Jon
He would distract Mr. R-Truth from most of his matches, and would get completely destroyed by his opponents! Man, what a real asshole! I like that in a young boy, full of spirit, that I would've liked to meet and greet in person, and do some fun, thrilling activities....But anyway! Lil' Jimmy was in all of our hearts, whether it was family, friends, or some a-hole down the street. This young boy, will always be in many of our hearts, including mine. So, if you would all like to rise up from your seats today, and if you would like to say your last, loving words to Lil' Jimmy, you may do so now.

All of the guests stand up from their seats, but no one moves to the coffin to say several words, or sentences, not even a paragraph. R-Truth then gets up, and he heads over, whilst holding a piece of paper in his hand. He faces the guests, and holds his piece of paper up to his face, as he starts to speak.

R-Truth
My fellow Americans! As your new President of the.....

Ron looks at the piece of paper more thoroughly, and realizes that this isn't a speech for the funeral. It is actually a speech for when he becomes President of the United States, after President Obama has rigged the votes for 3 more elections! R-Truth goes into his back pocket to find a crumpled up note that seemed to have some chewing gum stuck to most of the text. He throws it away, and starts to speak his mind.



R-Truth
To both mine and Lil' Jimmy's family, friends, and like Jon said, some a-hole down the street, I thank you for coming here today. Coming here today can let us all speak our minds, like myself R-Truth, no...Ron Killings. After the tragic death of my one best friend, I have actually found out how I feel, and how I want to feel. You see, it's not about who you are, it's about what you did. Who Lil' Jimmy was, that isn't the question, but how he acted and what he did? That's the question we're all looking to find an answer for.

R-Truth
Lil' Jimmy had a nice personality! Really funny guy! He would crack the most insanest of jokes, some funny, some that were awful. But some were just too darn racist! I mean he told me about this store being robbed...

The guests, except for the a-hole down the street, gasps in horror for the racism that R-Truth shared with the guests.

R-Truth
I know right?! It was just too damn hurtful. Us people, we are not like that! We are the same as everyone else, and we should be like everyone else, like equals.....Do you really want to know my opinion of Lil' Jimmy? Well let me tell you, this guy who is in this coffin, WAS not only my best friend, WAS the guy who cost me my matches against every single member of the XWL roster, but he is also one of the biggest liabilities this world would ever see!! I'M GLAD HE'S GONE!! HE NEVER DID ANYTHING FOR OTHERS, NOT FOR YOU, NOT FOR ME, JUST HIMSELF!! Sorry or not, this guy deserved to die, and I don't care what you think, this sorry ass is long gone, and I couldn't give a damn on how much you love him!

The graveyard goes silent, and a voice is heard nearby. It was a guest!

All of the guests run out of the graveyard and head to their local, and favorite fast food restaurant. R-Truth and Jon are the only two left in the graveyard. Jon heads over to Ron with a piece of paper of his own, and he places it on the palms of his hands, as he then closes his hand up, so he doesn't lose it.

Don't worry Ronald, it's not what it looks like, and it's definitely not the speech for all the Americans that will never listen to a guy like you. Goodbye Ronald, I'll meet you at Wendy's.

Jon walks out of the graveyard, and a family, all wearing wrestling shirts enter, with one kid wearing a Rey Mysterio mask. He runs across the gravestones, and thinking that R-Truth wants to play. Just before he runs into him, he shouts Rey's catchphrase....."BOOYAKA!!" R-Truth was then pushed into Lil' Jimmy's grave, landing on top of the coffin. The kid, who didn't want to get into trouble, ran off back to his parents, who should keep an eye on him more often. Ron looks up and notices that he dropped the note, only to find that the wind made it unfold and slowly fall down onto his face. Ron would lift up the note to find simple sentences that was wrote on it.

What terrible timing to suffer an injury, only a few day before his scheduled match with Prince Devitt.

That's exactly what it was J.R, an injury, an untimely injury that was entirely his own fault. You can't possibly compare John Cena's situation to Prince Devitt's, they're on completely different wave lengths.

Cena's music continues to blast throughout the arena as he slowly makes his way out of the back, not having even stepped into the arena yet, the crowd show their support for the wounded superstar, and the cheers only intensify as he makes his way to the stage, sporting his usual gear, but this time with one big difference, his left arm resting in a dark sling.

It seems that the injury hasn't fully healed yet, but still here he is, not wanting to upset his fans.

A smiles grows across Cena's face as he stops on the stage and looks out to the cheering audience, looking from one direction to the next at the millions and millions of Cena fans, before turning to the camera.

I'm here! I made it!

Cena's smile grows and he makes his way down the ramp, using his good hand to high five the children in the front row.

I'm getting word that the Medical Personnel have given us an update on Cena. An MRI shows he's suffered multiple muscle strains, however, the good news is, no permanent structural damage. He may not be able to compete, but it won't last for long folks!

Well at least we get to go a few weeks without having to sit through another terrible Cena match.

Cena is inside the ring now, a microphone in his grasp, he throws it around in his right hand as he waits for the excitement in the crowd to die down before raising it to his lips.

Words cannot describe how good it feels to be standing in this ring right now!

The crowd pop for Cena who flashes a smile to the ladies in the front row.

Over the past couple of weeks I made my intentions known to all of you, to the whole roster, and on some level, the entire world as well. I made it clear that I was going to do everything in my power to become your United States Champion once again. And once Stephanie McMahon made the right decision and named me as one of the two men to compete at Uprising with the prize of the contendership to the United States title on the line, I was that much closer to achieving my goal. Whether I was facing Santino Marella, Jack Swagger, Seth Rollins, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, that guy with the Daniel Bryan shirt in the front row, or even Stephanie McMahon herself, it didn't matter to me! I was prepared to fight like I had never fought before, to take my opponent to his, or her absolute limit. No if's, and's or but's, I was going to do anything and everything within the rules and within my power to assure that I'd be walking out of uprising as the number one contender.

The crowd continue to cheer Cena.

And when it was revealed that my opponent would be none other than Prince Devitt, well, I'm not going to lie, I wasn't exactly sure who this kid was, where he'd come from or even what he was capable of. So I did some research, and let me tell you folks, this kid, whether you  agree or disagree with his attitude, he is one incredible athlete. Just from watching his matches on my computer screen, I can stand here and honestly say that I've never seen anything like that before, so I knew that I'd be in for a challenge, even if the kid wasn't used to the XWL way of things yet, he was going to take me to my limit. Maybe I should have changed my game plan right there and then, but I didn't because I was sure I would be walking into this arena today knowing that whether I won or I lost, I gave it my all in a match for the ages against an up and comer and quite possibly, the future of this business.

The crowd boo at the possibility of Prince Devitt being the future which causes Cena to crack a smile.

Come on now guys, we've all made some bad decisions in our lives, it just happens that Prince Devitt has made all of his recently. Making an enemy out of a man like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Arguing with a red tempered fellow Irishman in Sheamus, pissing off the boss, Stephanie McMahon! And if all of that isn't bad enough, the  kid went and sold his soul to the devil himself! His attack on Ryback last week only gave me more motivation. This wasn't just about winning a match any more, it wasn't just a contenders match, it was an opportunity to teach him a valuable lesson, one that he wouldn't forget any time soon, and I'll admit, I was looking forward to it.

The crowd roar with Cheers at the thought of Cena getting his hands on Devitt.

But in my excitement for that match, I let my guard down. I was only a couple of days away from my first payperview match in over a year, and I made a mistake that came back to haunt me. I assumed that I was set, that nothing could possibly go wrong..

Cena looks down to his incapacitated arm and the crowd start to jeer.

I'm sure you've all noticed by now that this isn't my latest accessory, it's a sling.

The crowd boo even louder as Cena says it out loud.

As Stephanie McMahon announced to the world on Uprising last night, I suffered an injury at a house show match against The Ryback three days ago. Unfortunately, that resulted in the straining of multiple muscles in my left arm which left me medically unable to compete at Uprising, and tonight at Breakdown.

The booing only gets louder as Cena continues.

John Cena
But there is something that Stephanie McMahon did NOT tell you.

The booing dies down and the crowd becomes quiet as Cena goes on.

John Cena
I hate to steal a gimmick, and I hope Wade Barrett doesn't sue me for this, but...

Cena looks down as the crowd goes quiet, a couple second pass by before he lifts his head back up and looks out to the crowd, making the best impersonation of Wade Barrett as he can.

I'm afraid I've got some bad news!

The crowd cheer for Cena again and some laugh at his terrible impersonation.

You see, unfortunately for Stephanie McMahon, I don't care what's best for business, I only care what's best for all of you fans out there who tune in to the show every week, and occasionally even buy a ticket to come and see us live! I believe that you deserve to know the truth behind my injury, and although I'm sure Stephanie McMahon will not agree, I think it's only right that I show you exactly what happened four days ago.

Cena points to the titantron.

Everyone's attention turns to the titantron as a video starts to play of John Cena and The Ryback in the finishing moments of their match.

The video starts with John Cena resting against the turnbuckle, The Ryback charges towards him, but Cena pulls his feet up and connects with a dropkick, knocking The Ryback backwards. Cena follows up the attack with a left strike, which The Ryback instantly answers back with one of his own, the two continue to exchange fist shots until The Ryback knocks the air out of Cena with a swift punch to his gut, he looks to connect with another, but Cena stops him and kicks The Ryback's lower leg before following up with a succession of left's and right's. The Ryback now staggered on his feet, Cena rushes to the ropes and rebounds off of them, looking for a shoulder block to take the big man down, but instead he is met with a vicious meathook clothesline that knocks him inside out.

The Ryback looks down at Cena who is trying to shake off the impact. The Ryback pulls his straps down from his shoulders and motions to the crowd who know what's coming next.

FINISHI IT!

The Ryback moves closer to the helpless Cena and pulls him up to his feet before heaving him up onto his shoulders. The Ryback grabs a firm hold of the back of Cena's head and neck as well as his lower leg and begins to march around the ring.



All looks hopeless for Cena, but he manages to slip out of The Ryback's grip, much to his surprise. Confused, The Ryback turns around to see John Cena standing, ready for him, he attempt to run at him with another Meathook, but Cena simply ducks and grabs The Ryback on his shoulders, he smiles as the crowd go crazy with excitement.



But before Cena is able to hit the AA, he is interrupted by a very familiar voice.

Instantly recognizing the voice, Cena drops The Ryback and looks around the arena before coming face to face with none other than Paul Heyman on the titantron.

The small crowd boos Heyman as The Ryback steps in front of Cena, almost as if saying “He’s my enemy, I got this.”

Oh Ryback, how courageous of you to stand your ground. But I’m not here for you. You know what happens when you oppose The Heyman Crew. You’ve felt the pain, the agony, the helplessness as you look up into the faces of Goldberg, Edge, and Prince Devitt, knowing that you have as much of a chance of making it out in once piece as you do defeating Brock Lesnar. Both of those things simply can’t be done. You can’t defeat Brock Lesnar, and you certainly can’t best The Heyman Crew. And don’t even get me started on Kane. My clients are capable of taking out the entire XWL locker room. So John, you’re the man who feels no fear right? You’re impervious to anything that tries to bring you down, you always rise above, isn’t that so? Well I ask you this, doyou think that you have it in you to Rise Above The Heyman Crew?

Cena does the “You Can’t See Me” taunt as the crowd cheers.

John, this isn’t a joke. No amount of one liners, wrist bands, or catch phrases will be able to get you out of this one. The Ryback has felt the steel fist of The Heyman Crew, he knows what we are capable of. Isn’t that right Big Guy?

The Ryback glares at the titantron as Heyman begins to speak to him.

Like I said Ryback, I’m not here for you. On last night’s Breakdown you thought that you had me beat, just like Stephanie McMahon, you thought that you had me backed up against a wall. But I came out on top. Goldberg, Edge, Kane, Brock Lesnar, and even CM Punk were banned from ringside, but thanks to Prince Devitt, my newest client, I defeated you Ryback, I pinned you, just like Goldberg will at Uprising… Ah Uprising. John, Uprising will be the Heyman Crew’s Pay Per View. We will stand tall above all of our opponents. Just like Robbie E, Kenny King, and Stone Cold did last night, Sangriento will fall victim to Brock Lesnar. Big E and JTG think that the numbers are in their favor in my tag team match with Kane this Sunday, but what they will soon realize is that the numbers are always in the favor of The Heyman Crew. And as for you Ryback, well, if you think that the beatings that we’ve given you in the past were harsh, well, seeing as your still my client I’ll give you a little heads up, don’t go to Uprising. And that goes for you too John. Prince Devitt is the only man in this company that deserves a shot at Antonio Cesaro’s championship, and I’ll do whatever it takes to assure that he gets it. So miss the bus John, fake a flu, it doesn’t matter how, just don’t show up. Got it?

John just simply laughs and shakes his head

Well. I gave you the easy choice. Now I’m going to have to give you a reason to not show up…



Paul remains on the titantron with a smirk slapped across his face, while Cena, who is completely focused on the stage, doesn’t notice that Edge has slipped into the ring behind him. The jeering in the small crowd grows louder and Cena realizes that something is wrong, he turns around and just about manages to dodge a bullet from Edge's spear as Heyman looks on with a disapproving look. Cena backs away as he looks at Edge on the other side of the ring. Taking his shirt off, Cena motions to Edge to come and get him, but before Edge gets the chance, Cena is taken down by a huge forearm from Goldberg!

Edge laughs at the fallen Cena as goldberg continues to attack, laying into him with repeated boots to the gut. Cena whinces in pain and Goldberg moves to lift him, Cena pushes him away, Edge and Goldberg now stood side by side, Cena lift himself back up onto his feet, barely able to stand, he encourages Edge and Goldberg to try again, but they just look at eachother, and just then Cena turns around and catches an airbound Price Devitt in his grasp, ready to hit the attitude adjustment, but before he gets a second to make impact, he's taken back down to the canvas with a vicious spear from Goldberg! Devitt and Edge both roll out of the ring and look underneath the apron for weapons as Goldberg stays with Cena. Edge is the first to pull out a chair and throw it into the ring, followed by another. Devitt on the other side of the ring has cruel intentions as he pulls out a table from underneath the ring and slides it under the bottom rope for Goldberg to set up. Edge re enters the ring as Devitt continues to throw piles and piles of chairs into the ring.

Goldberg sets up the table in the middle of the ring as Cena begins to stir, Edge is quick to notice and runs over to Cena, knocking him back down onto his back with a big boot before lifting him up and hooking his head, lifting him up to make impact with an Edgecution! Goldberg has the table set up now and Devitt returns to the ring to help set up this deathtrap. Edge and Devitt begin to grab chairs and throw them onto the set up table, covering every inch with the steel chairs and placing the leftover chair underneath the table. The three look over to the table pleased with their work, not noticing that Cena has staggered back to his feet. Edge turns around and is the first to be nailed with a huge shoulder block. Goldberg tries his luck next but Cena manages to avoid the impact, only to be nailed with a swift vicious tornado kick to the side of his skull from Prince Devitt, and he slumps back down to the canvas.

Wasting no time, Goldberg quickly gets back on the attack, scooping Cena's limp body up from the ground, he drags him over to the table, Edge and Devitt stand side by side with Goldberg as he lifts Cena up for a powerbomb. Devitt and Edge each grab a side of Cena and with all their strength, the three Paul Heyman clients send Cena crashing through the steel and wood. Cena yells out in pain from the impact, clearly favouring his left arm, but the crew aren't done yet. Goldberg viciously drags Cena from the broken mess of table and chairs leaving Prince Deivtt to lift the wounded soldier up into the air, connecting with the bloody sunday in the middle of the ring!



The crowd are booing loudly as the heyman crew stand over Cena, Devitt kneels down and grabs Cena by the hair, pulling his head up off the canvas, he points to his skull with his hand shaped to look like a gun and laughs into the camera before the screen goes dark and we return to the arena.

Back in the arena, the crowd is furious at what they've just watched, letting the whole world know it.

Well there it is folk, there's the truth that Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon so desperately did not want you to know. Now usually I'm a man who forgives and forgets, but not this time!

The crowd are ecstatic as Cena's expression changes from carefree to serious.

If there's one thing I don't like, it's a bully. And that's exactly what Paul Heyman is, a bully, and I'll be damned if I'm going to stand here and let him walk around this company thinking that he can do whatever he likes to anyone he wants to. Paul, at Uprising, it was just business, but now, well you've made it personal! I don't care about losing my match, I don't care that I'm not the number one contender to the United States Championship, none of that matters to me any more. There's just one thing on my mind now, and that's putting an end to this reign of terror from your little 'crew'!

Well it looks like Cena is getting exactly what he asked for tonight! The Heyman Crew!

Yeah, well, he was asking for it all right!!! Now he’s going to get it!!

Paul Heyman walks out onto the stage, mic in hand. Goldberg, Edge, and Prince Devitt all walk out behind him, glaring out at Cena.

Oh come on John. I thought that you were all about forgiving and forgetting. Turning the other cheek. You know, all that good stuff. Isn’t that the message that you want to portray to all your little Cenanites, or whatever you call the people naïve enough to buy your merchandise nowadays. You see John, what happened to you, what we did to you, it wasn’t personal. We were simply proving a point, two points to be exact. So don’t blame Prince Devitt for what happened to you, it would have happened regardless, you should be thanking Mr. Devitt actually, because thanks to him you were able to get the beating out of the way sooner than later. You see, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Chris Jericho, and John Cena. Those were the names of the superstars fighting for the World Title when this company was created. CM Punk is my best friend, so he’s off limits. Edge is my client. But Jeff Hardy? Put through a table. Chris Jericho? The man with the most World Title Reigns? The man who’s held this title more days than anyone in this company? The man with the most World Title Defenses in the history of the XWL?.. Defeated by Goldberg. So I guess that just leaves Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, and you, John Cena. Well, not anymore that is, now we can check you off the list of our targets, our examples.

Heyman laughs to himself before continuing

So John you can take what happened to you and use it as your fuel. Use it to do the opposite of everything that you stand for, use it for revenge, use it for hate. I’m sure that my client Kane can teach you a thing or two about that if that’s the path that you choose… Or. You can be the bigger man. You can live out the saying on all of your fans T-Shirts and wrist bands. But most importantly you can avoid another beating at the hands of The Heyman Crew. So the balls in your court John. Can you learn to forgive and forget? Can you do the right thing? Or do we need to come down to the ring and beat the hustle, loyalty, and respect into you?

You were proving a point? What exactly was that point Paul, the fact that not a single one of your clients is capable of fighting their own battles? That you don't actually have any faith in your clients? That you don't believe Prince Devitt had any chance of defeating me at Uprising? Is that the point you were trying to make? If it was, you've succeeded, because as you can tell, that's what all of these people think.

Cena holds his mic out to the crowd who respond with a wave of boos directed at the four men on the stage.

You see? All of these people, whether they're part of the Cenation Army, loyal Edge Heads, Jericoholics, or if they're just here to marvel at the sheer size of Naomi's..

Cena stops himself and smiles.

John Cena
Anyyyyway, the point is, it doesn't matter what or who they're here for Paul, every single one of them can see you for exactly what you are, a frightened little bully of a man. You hide behind a group of guys who simply couldn't get anywhere without someone to hold their hand, men who just can't get it done in or outside the ring. I mean really, let's just take a minute and look at the men standing behind you. There's Edge, the man who picked a fight with me less than half a year ago and instantly regretted the mistake he'd made. Then you have Goldberg, once again, a man who picked a fight with yours truly, claiming that 'I was next', but it turned out to be Goldberg who was the next... The next to fall to John Cena. And then you have the man I was scheduled to compete against at Uprising, Prince Devitt... I can see why you had your doubts Paul, if Goldberg and Edge couldn't beat me, what chance did Devitt have?

Prince Devitt looks furious, he steps forward, but Heyman holds his arm out and prevents him from going any further, much to Cena's amusement.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, it's actually pretty cute that you have this little list of people who you want to 'take care of' so that you can show CM Punk just how much you love him, really it is, and I can say with all my heart that the two of you deserve each other... But if you think that after one lousy night that you can cross my name off that list, you're sorely mistaken. You can attack me all you like, call me names, break my bones, it doesn't matter what you or those three hired thugs of yours do to me Paul, because as of right now, I'm making a promise to the Cenation Army that sooner or later, I will destroy every single one of you, whether it's one at a time, or all at once! And you better damn well believe that!

The crowd are fully behind Cena as the Heyman crew look on from the ramp, Cena leans over the ropes and yells into his microphone.

IF YOU WANT SOME, COME GET SOME!

With that, Cena throws his microphone out of the ring and prepares himself for the Heyman crew.

Heyman simply laughs as The Heyman Crew make their way to the ring!!!

Cena stands ready for what's to come, he paces himself as Goldberg stops outside the ring while both Edge and Devitt sprint around the ring, the three men stare at Cena in the ring, knowing that they have him surrounded. The crowd continue to boo the three men as they slowly step up onto the apron. Cena looks from one side to another, waiting for someone to make a move, he takes his eyes off Goldberg and onto Edge, and just like that, Prince Devitt rushes into the ring, Cena just about manages to turn around and catch him in time, sending him flying across the ring with a one armed hip toss. Devitt rolls out of the ring and this prompts Goldberg and Edge to both rush into the ring. Cena stands his ground as he stares off with the two men famous for their signature manoeuvre, the spear. Edge and Goldberg look to eachother and grin as unbeknown to Cena, Prince Devitt slips under the bottom rope behind Cena, taking him off guard, Devitt strikes Cena with a swift kick to the side of his arm. Cena roars about in pain, only to walk right into a SPEAR from the Rated R Superstar! Cena falls to the ground clutching his arm as Edge taunts the crowd with a crazed look in his eyes.

For the love of god, not again! Someone needs to get out here and stop this before they end his career!

No one's stopping you J.R, go ahead.

Back to the action, Paul Heyman has walked down to the ringside area, barking orders at the three men in the ring, Goldberg, Edge and Devitt all circle Cena, it looks like they're preparing for the three man powerbomb. Goldberg lifts Cena's carcass of the canvas and sets him up for the powerbomb, but before he gets a chance to lift him...



Paul Heyman just about falls over from shock as the rattlesnakes music hits, receiving a massive pop from the crowd.

STONE COLD! STONE COLD!! Finally, someone to teach these fools a lesson!

Stone Cold rushes out of the back, sprinting down the ramp as a terrified Paul Heyman runs around the ring, he motions to the three men in the ring who throw Cena to one side as Stone Cold slides under the bottom rope. Edge attempts to take him down with a spear, but Stone Cold side steps it and throws Edge out over the top rope! Devitt is the next to try his luck as he rushes into a mid section boot from Stone Cold, followed by a Stone Cold Stunner!! Devitt not knowing where he is, instinctively rolls out of the ring. But Stone Cold takes one second too long to celebrate his revenge and turns around into a devastating spear from Goldberg!! Goldberg stands over Austin expressionless, not seeing that Cena has somehow stumbled back to his feet. Cena rushes up behind Goldberg and uses his good arm to send him over the top rope besides his crew. Heyman, Edge and Goldberg lift Devitt to his feet and back their way up the ramp as Cena watches on from the ring, the four men disappear from view. The cheering in the arena only gets louder as Stone Cold gets back to his feet and exchanges a look with Cena,

Cena thanks Stone Cold for coming to his rescue and the last image we see before the commercial break is that of Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena celebrating on the turnbuckles in opposite corners of the ring.

As Friday night Breakdown rolls on, Matt Hardy's theme music begins to play over the PA system, causing the fans to jump out of their seats. They wait for a moment in anticipation before Hardy reveals himself on the stage, dressed up in a black suit. He spins around two times, throwing up his version 1 hand sign, the fans going nuts.

Well, here he is! The man who returned to the XWL just one week ago at Uprising, Matt Hardy! And he had quite the return to say the least.

You can say that again, J.R., he returned as Stephanie's surprise opponent for Edge. In a chairs match no less! And even though the 'Heyman Guys' gave him a rough beat down before the match started, Hardy still managed to beat Edge and walk out victorious!

Oh, please. Hardy just got lucky, that's it! Edge had him right where he wanted him, and if it weren't for The Heyman guys being all the way at the top of stage, Hardy wouldn't be here tonight, I guarantee it!

But the fact of the matter is that he IS here tonight, Cole. And it seems that he's got something on his mind.

Matt makes his way down the ramp, slapping a few hands before grabbing a microphone from ringside and entering the ring. Once inside, he walks around for a bit before placing one of his feet on the second rope, leaving the other on the mat. He then shoots up his right arm, once again showing off his famous hand sign. His music then begins to die down as he raises his mic up to talk.

I . . .

Matt is forced to lower his mic as the fans begin a massive chant of, "Hardy, Hardy, Hardy!" He smiles, nodding his head then lifting his mic up.

I . . . Will not . . . Die!

The fans erupt as Hardy holds his microphone up above his head.

Not The Wyatt Family, not Paul Heyman's goons and not even Edge can keep me down. Now back some months ago when the Wyatt's nearly ended my career and made my brother Jeff watch as they did, I was weak. I can see that now, their attack opened my eyes. But after recovering from my injuries, I worked. I worked hard, and I'm confident to say that I'm better than I've ever been in my entire life! You can take last week for example. Even after Goldberg, Prince Devitt and Edge all jumped me, I still came out on top! I drove Edge's head down onto that steel chair and I pinned him for the one, two, three! You see, I know Edge. I've spent most of my career fighting him. Whether it was in tag team matches, singles matches, steel cage matches, ladder matches, and well, chairs matches. We know each other all to well. And I've never called him a friend, nor will I ever call him a friend. Edge is a maniacal, vindictive, worm. He's not the 'ultimate opportunist', he's the ultimate sleazeball. In fact, the only person who's an even bigger sleazeball than Edge, is Paul Heyman. So I guess it's only right that they found each other. Let me just make this as clear as I can, if those two clowns think for just one second that things are over between us . . . Well, they've got another thing coming!

Matt tilts his mic down, looking from side to side and smiling. He then rolls his shoulders and returns to speaking.

I'm stronger than death! And I'm stronger than Edge! And I'm going to put an end to his and Heyman's little faction. I'm going to make sure that they don't lay their hands on another superstar. I'm going to make them regret ever laying their hands on me! Edge, you bastard, I'm challenging you to a match in this ring next week on Breakdown! And it isn't going to be just any old normal match, no, no, you don't deserve that. You deserve to be punished! So let's just get a little vote from these XWL fans in attendance tonight, shall we? Who here wants to see me kick Edge's ass next week!?

The fans react with a massive pop, making Hardy grin.  

And who here would like to see me repay Edge and his pals for putting me through the announcers table by putting Edge through a table of his own!?

The fans once again burst as Matt begins to pace around the ring, nodding his head up and down.

So you're all telling me that next week you want to see Edge vs. Matt Hardy in a tables match!?

Well then you've got it! Next week I'm going to drive Edge through a table and make him realize just what he's gotten himself into!

Matt drops his microphone and twirls his arms, shooting up the version 1 sign yet again. As his theme song begins to kick in, Hardy goes to each corner and throws his arms up into the air, a smile on his face the entire time.

Well there you have it, folks! Matt Hardy has just laid down a challenge to Edge for next weeks show.

XWL cuts to backstage, where Renee Young is standing with The Best in the World! CM Punk.

[Renee Young]
CM Punk last night at Uprising you did what you set out to do and proved you were the Best in the World when you defeated Bobby Roode. Tonight you take on...

[[CM Punk]]
Whoa, whoa, whoa hang on there a second Renee. You know during my reigns as Champion or my run of success people always tell me that I have to stop and enjoy my moments because I never just stop to look at what I have achieved, I'm always looking at the next thing, I'm always looking at something more because I have that drive, I am always hungry and I always want to take myself to the next level but tonight I think I am going to stop for a change. Smell the roses, enjoy my hard fought moment. So Renee, if you please. Could you repeat your opening sentence.

Renee looks a little confused with the Straight Edge Superstar, looks at whoever is placed behind the camera as though asking what to do.

[Renee Young]
Ok... CM Punk last night at Uprising you did what you set out to do and proved you were the Best in the World when you defeated Bobby Roode.

[[CM Punk]]
Doesn't that sound nice? It kind of just rolls of the tongue doesn't it? It feels natural. Now what I would like for you to do is just repeat the last part for me.

[Renee Young]
Ermm... When you defeated Bobby Roode...

Punk is smiling like a Cheshire Cat

[[CM Punk]]
I did beat Bobby Roode didn't I? I'm glad you noticed Renee, you are too kind at times. Lastly, what I would like for you to do is just repeat that little line in the middle of the sentence. Could you do that for me Renee?

Renee can be seen thumbing through the sentence in her mind, wondering just exactly what part of it CM Punk is referring to until it clicks, the light bulb switches on...

Proved you were the Best in the World!

That fact was never in doubt. I get where the last month came from, I understand Bobby's intentions and his grand scheme to some how get a head start in this company and propelling himself to greener pastures but there has to be method to the madness and sadly for Bobby Roode last night we found out that there was just madness. Perhaps the pressure got to him, perhaps he realised that he had set the bar way to high and crumbled but last night the World watched to see if he could back up his claims, the World watched to see if Bobby Roode was really as good as the hype. Now all of this hype came from Bobby himself but people were interested, there curiosity was sparked and they wanted to see if what they were witnessing was the next big thing in this industry. So the question I put forward to you Renee, was that the case?

[Renee Young]
No.

[[CM Punk]]
Of course it wasn't the case. Every month, ever week, every night we see people come into this company who believe they are better than they actually are and they try and bite off more than they can chew and that was what happened with Bobby Roode. Maybe he had some success in a different company, maybe his head was just in the clouds but the second he tried his luck against the Best in the World it was all over for him. They say it could happen on any given night, that luck could've swung his way and who knows but like I always say luck is for losers, if you rely on luck you are never going to make it in this company, I don't need luck to get me to where I am, I relied on my skills, my abilities and the fact that I am the Best in the World! Bobby, you came out to that ring last night and you gave it your all and I will admit your little tactics, they got under my skin, they pissed me off and for a brief moment you got in my head but thank Knees to faces that I am the Best because I can bounce back from anything.

[[CM Punk]]
You come into my house, you claim your the Best, you belittle my history, everything that I have busted my ass to achieve and earn in this business and then you fail to even step up to the mark and deliver on everything you have claimed? You're not the Best, not that was even an issue, you're far from it because your failure, your antics, your tactics, your minds games were nothing short of pathetic, you better hope you find something to brag about quickly because from this point on you're going to be known as nothing more than the guy who shoot his mouth off for weeks about how he is better than the best, how he is going to take this company over by force and then those intentions ended just as quickly as they started. Your little flash in the pan hype ended when my knee put you to sleep, then as the referee counted your shoulders to the mat, he was counting away your chance of success, he was saying goodbye to your hype and stomping on your dreams. Then you looked up, you saw the light and in your state of delusion your thought you saw God, well it was pretty damn close because you saw the hard dose of reality that you so badly needed, you saw the arm of the Best being raised and that was it for you. Punk, tonight you take on the very strange and deranged Luke Harper. When it comes to the Wyatt Family you can be sure that Bray Wyatt is never lingering too far behind, what are your thoughts going into this match and how do you intend to deal with the Wyatt Family?

The Wyatt's, many people wrongly believe that they have them figured out because it is moronic to think that. When it comes to someone like Bray Wyatt you can never label him, you can never put your finger on him because he is unpredictable and together he and his family are nothing short of a threat. You have to be stupid or taking an insane amount of unprescripted drugs, Jeff, to not realise that fact. The Wyatt's are dangerous, the Wyatt's are out to hurt people and to spread their message whatever that is and don't be fooled. Just because he is a follower does not make Luke Harper any less dangerous than Bray Wyatt, far from it and tonight I face Mr. Harper one on one. I say one on one, like you mentioned Bray Wyatt is never hard to find when it comes to his family, so he will be around ringside, I'm sure he would like to get into my head, play his little mind games but none of it will work. There is being stupid and then there is being the Best in the World. I have suffered worse and I have came back from worse, far worse than anything that the Wyatt's can think of dishing out here tonight. So tonight Luke Harper will not win, Bray Wyatt will not get to spread his message whatever that may be and those two hillbillies will not play out Deliverence.

Renee Young chuckles, she stops and realises that CM Punk is staring at her with a look of disgust.

[[CM Punk]]
That's not funny. Why would you laugh at that?

[Renee Young]
I'm sorry I...

[[CM Punk]]
No, no, no. Renee, you are sick. Two hillbillies having their way with a man in the woods is no laughing matter... I mean, what has t be wrong with a person to laugh at something like that? You certainly have a lot of people fooled with this little innocent interviewer thing because some people look forward to these little segments with you but we are now witnessing the darker side of you, the evil, laugh at rape side.

Renee Young stares at the floor

[[CM Punk]]
Yeah, you be ashamed, you think of what you have done. Now if you would excuse me, I have a match to win.

CM Punk walks off in disgust, leaving Renee Young staring at her shoes. Even when Punk is gone she doesn't lift her head, again she lets out a slight chuckle and quickly lifts her hand over her mouth to cover any sound. She feels safe, she looks up to face the camera only to find CM Punk stood next to her again shaking his head in disgust. Punk points down the hallway.

[[CM Punk]]
Leave.

Renee looks down the hallway and then looks at Punk, who motions for her to leave and go down the hallway. Punk takes the microphone out of her hand and shoos her away. She lowers her head out of guilt and starts walking away from the interview set.

[[CM Punk]]
Go on. Get.

Renee disappears out of shot, leaving Punk standing there shaking his head. He shouts after her.

[[CM Punk]]
You can have this back when you learn some compassion!

The camera fades out as CM Punk walks away in the opposite direction.

10 minutes into the match....

Michael Cole: OH what a suplex by the great white!

King: Sheamus has been in control most of this match. Rey needs to fight back here!

As Rey begins to get up, Sheamus bounces off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Rey ducks the clothesline and hits Sheamus with a drop kick on the rebound. Realizing he's on the offense now, he quickly jumps at the ropes and hits a spring board crossbody on Sheamus when he gets up to send him crashing back to the mat. Rey doesn't stop just yet as Sheamus gets on all fours and Rey bounces off the second rope for speed and connects a running drop kick to the head of the Celtic Warrior. Rey then immediately hits a standing moonsault. The crowd gives off a massive pop at this comeback. Rey Mysterio holds up his arm before wrapping his arm around Sheamus's neck to help him back to his feet only to jump up into the air and send his head into the mat with a jumping DDT. He quickly hooks the leg.

2..Kickout! Sheamus gets the shoulder up to break the count and get a negative reaction from the crowd. Rey Mysterio doesn't sweat it though as he stands up on his feet waiting for the big man to stand up. As Sheamus gets to his feet, Rey kicks him in the gut and turns his head in the neckbreaker position and drills it to the mat. He then goes for the pin again.

2..No! Kickout! Sheamus gets the shoulder up once again.

Michael Cole: Oh man! Sheamus being resliant here!

King: You got to hand it to Mysterio though. He's come back big time!

Michael Cole: He'll be sent back to mexico with a brogue kick.

JR: Shut up Michael.

Rey climbs up to the top turnbuckle and waits for Sheamus to get to his feet. As soon as he does, Rey jumps off going for the crossbody but is caught by Sheamus. Sheamus throws Mysterio over his head and onto his shoulder to set up the White Noise but Rey rolls off behind him and hits a drop kick to the spine of Sheamus sending him groggy on the second rope. The crowd goes insane as he bounces off the ropes and comes running with speed and momentum behind him. As he spins on the ropes going for the 619, Sheamus catches the feet and pulls Mysterio back into the ring only to hit the Irish Curse on him causing him to roll out of the ring and drop on the floor in pain. Sheamus gives off a sly smile before exiting the ring after Rey. But instead of pinning Rey which is legal with the falls count anywhere stipulation, he throws the apron up and pulls a led pipe out from under the ring.

JR: Oh no! Sheamus don't do it! That is a lead pipe! That can crack a skull!

Sheamus hits his fist on his chest a few times before yelling "Fella" and sealing the deal with a blow to the spine of Rey Mysterio with the led pipe! Rey drops back to the floor as the crowd erupts in a roar of boos. But, Sheamus isn't done. Rey slowly wills himself back to his feet and as he does, he feels the wrath of the lead pipe slamming into his gut to send him back to the floor. Sheamus then drops the pipe and pins Rey.

2...

3..No! Rey Mysterio kicks out! Sheamus has a look of disbelief across his face as the ref explains to him that it was only a two count. He then throws the led pipe to the other side of the ring and begins to stomp on the gut of Rey. The warrior then grabs Mysterio by his head with both hands and lifts him back to his feet only to send him crashing head first into the ring post. Sheamus lets out a huge roar to not only gain heat from the crowd but to show his dominance over Rey Mysterio. Rey is seen holding his head in pain as Sheamus pulls up the apron once again to pull out a steel trash can.

Michael Cole: Oh man! We know what kind of damage a steel trashcan can do!

As Rey pulls himself up to his feet using the barricade as leverage, he turns around to see Sheamus charging at him with the trashcan above his head. He quickly drops to his feet to execute a drop toehold which sends Sheamus face first into the trashcan which hits the barricade first. Sheamus falls to the the floor holding his face which seems to be cut open at this point. Blood is gushing out of his forehead after what looks to have been cut on the steel bending into from the impact on the trashcan. Rey stands up and grabs the smashed trashcan and lays it on the spin of Sheamus. He then climbs on the barricade and jumps off hitting a leg drop smashing the rest of the can onto the spine of Sheamus.

King: Oh man! What a turning point! Sheamus is bust open and Rey smashed the rest of the trashcan over his back with a punishing leg drop off the barricade!

JR: Yeah but I think that leg drop hurt Rey more than it hurt Sheamus.



Rey is cringing in pain as he holds onto his left leg which seems to of gotten cut on the trashcan. The ref comes to check up on Rey. He then shoves the ref out of the way to indicate that he's alright and he doesn't need help. He receives a pop from the crowd as he stands to his feet. He then pushes Sheamus over on his back and pins him.

2...

3..No! Kickout! Sheamus gets the shoulder up which breaks up the count and sends Rey into disbelief. Mysterio stands up and struggles to pull Sheamus back to his feet, but once he does, he grabs him by the back of the neck and begins to drag him closer to the ramp. He then hits him with a DDT on the steel and then hooks the leg for the pin.

3..Kickout! Sheamus barely gets the arm up once again!

JR: By gawd! What can Rey do to take the big man out?

Michael Cole: I think he's running out of ideas. Poor Rey is already limping on his left leg. Won't be long before he's out on injury again.

King: I don't know, he doesn't look to be worrying about it at the moment.

Rey then limps over to the ring and lifts up the apron and pulls out a table! The crowd delivers a huge pop at what they think is about to happen. Rey sets up the table in front of the ring but as he turns around to his opponent, Sheamus is up and delivers a huge boot to the gut of Rey Mysterio. He then literally throws Rey onto the the ramp. As Rey tries to get up, Sheamus walks back over to him and begins to deliver a few strong punches that sends him backing up the ramp towards the stage. Once they are almost to the stage, Sheamus lifts Rey up on his shoulders and goes running forward hitting the White Noise on Rey Mysterio! He then goes for the pinfall right there on the stage.

2...

3..No! Kickout! Rey Mysterio manages to get the shoulder up but it only makes the fighting Irishman even angrier. Sheamus stands up and begins to stomp away at Rey Mysterio's injured leg. He proceeds to lift Mysterio back up on his feet and places him on his right shoulder. He then goes running and sends Rey Mysterio through the Minitron system!



JR: Oh my goodness! Sheamus just killed Rey Mysterio!

King: Ahhhhh (Classic King scream)

Michael Cole: Oh my god.

Sheamus and Mysterio is seen lying down beside each other backstage with electric wires hanging around them. After a few moments of the doctors check up on the two, they seem to be trying to put Rey on a stretcher but Sheamus manages to stop that by grabbing Mysterio and drag him by his arm. He then lifts him up on his shoulders and walks back out onto the stage showing tremendous strength. Sheamus drops Mysterio onto the stage and goes for the pin for the whole world to see.

2...

3..NO! KICKOUT BY REY MYSTERIO!   This causes the entire crowd to explode!

JR: HOW IN THE HELL DID HE KICK OUT OF THAT!

King: He isn't human!

Sheamus is seen screaming at the referee. He pushes the referee to the ground and threatens to kick his head off his shoulders and feed it to his children. He then looks around to seek anything he can use to put Rey Mysterio away. Just then, he spots a few tables set up in the area off the stage. So he picks Rey Mysterio up and brings him to the left side of the stage where the tables are at the bottom set up perfectly. He places Rey in the powerbomb position as beats his chest before screaming "FELLA" at the top of his lungs. He then lifts Rey up high above his head and holds his arms in the crucifix position. As he is going forward, Rey somehow slips out of it and Sheamus turns around to a hurricanrana that sends Sheamus flipping over on his back. Rey slowly gets back to his feet and holds his arm up into the air! Before he can capitalize, he is see's somebody from backstage coming at him with a steel chair. The man hits Rey over the skull with the chair causing Rey to fall backwards through the tables!

JR: Who in the hell! OH MY GAWD!

King: That's....That is R Truth!

Michael Cole: What the hell is he doing out here!?

King: The Funeral!

JR: That's still no excuse for this horrible act! Why Truth!? Why??

R Truth just stands there at the edge of the stage looking down at the man he just sent falling through two tables. As he continues to stare at Rey, Sheamus slowly gets to his feet and without asking questions, climbs off the stage and goes for the pinfall.

3...!!! Ding Ding Ding!



Ring Announcer: Umm, Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your winner......Sheamus!

King: I think Rey is hurt badly. He hasn't moved since the fall.

JR: Well we have medics checking on him but what a sick act from R Truth!

Sheamus walks away as the camera zooms in on R Truth still staring down at Rey Mysterio who is being helped by medics.



XWL Breakdown goes to commercial as Rey is getting put on a stretcher.

After that match moments ago the camera man catches Kurt Angle preparing for is match with Christian.



Camera Man: Kurt. I want to say congratulations on your victory at Uprising against Damien Sandow, but tonight you have a match against a former World Champion Chri...

Kurt Angle: Christian is nothing but another little bug in my way in getting what I want. What I deserve. See me and Christian are two different people. Christian is former champion. Myself I am a future Champion. Christian has not hold or seen gold in awhile. I see, hold, even sleep with gold around my neck every single day.

As Kurt shows off his gold medal he continues to talk

Christian is washed up he doesn't even deserve to be an XWL superstar anymore. He doesn't even deserve to be in the ring with me tonight, but if beating him tonight will get him out the way well so be it. Now lets talk about my victory at Uprising. The match I had at Uprising was to prove that I, Kurt Angle deserves a shot at the United States Championship. I won that match at Uprising but where is my title shot?



Camera Man: Kurt you do know John Cena was out for his match and was replace by Roman Reigns who by the way won to be come number one contender for the United States title.


Kurt Angle: Oh I am well aware that. Now Roman Reigns is a good wrestler but I believe I should have a shot for the United States Championship also at the biggest stage of them all Final Stand. Make it a Triple Threat at Final Stand cause god knows I proven everyone so far in this business that I am the true champ. Roman Reigns vs Antonio Cesaro vs Kurt Angle make it happen XWL. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
