XWL Breakdown: 1/12/2014 - 1/24/2014

The Breakdown opening intro comes to a close and the fireworks instantly begin to light up the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The cameras then pan throughout the arena, zooming in at the many of fans in attendance who support their favorite wrestlers and Divas. Even before the commentators have a chance to begin speaking, the theme of none other than the general manager of Breakdown, Stephanie McMahon, begins to play throughout the arena.



The Vegas crowd gives her a positive reaction, sending cheers her way as Stephanie makes her way out from behind the curtain. Already holding a microphone in her hand, Stephanie makes her way out and onto the very top of the stage before stopping as she looks out into the crowd.



Stephanie's theme soon dies out and the crowd follows, taking a moment before she raises the microphone held in her hand.



[Stephanie McMahon]
First off, I'd like to welcome each and everyone of you to Breakdown, live in Las Vegas, Nevada! Secondly, a couple weeks back a memo was posted on the XWL Website regarding the search for standout superstars who'd be rewarded for their actions.  The memo was sent out and ever since then, the Board of Directors, Myself, My Dad, and everyone else in charge of this company have been keeping a sharp eye out for superstars to fill the spots that we needed filled. And you're probably asking yourself, what exactly are these "spots" that we needed filled and how does it involve looking for superstars who stood out. Allow me to fill you in on everything you need to know before I go any further with this.



[Stephanie McMahon]
The Intercontinental Championship, as well as the United States Championship, won't be on the line at Uprising. Yes, you heard me correct. Neither Shawn Michaels nor Antonio Cesaro will be forced to put their championship on the line against a challenger. But instead, we decided to spice things up a bit with Final Stand just around the corner. We are going to need challengers for the championship then so we figured, why not determine who will be facing Shawn Michaels and Antonio Cesaro on the grandest stage of them all at Uprising. So with the decision to make contenders matches at this coming event, we needed four stand out superstars to fill the four possible spots in each one on one contenders match.



[Stephanie McMahon]
This week, we will be revealing one of the two competitors in each match where next week we will be revealing the second and final competitor in each match. So why don't we go ahead and get started with the United States Championship, currently held by Antonio Cesaro. We picked a superstar who is a former United States Champion in his own right, sure his reign wasn't the greatest but it was a reign. He's failed before at recapturing the belt, Final Stand IV against Shawn Michaels to be exact, and now two years later he is hoping to change all that by winning this match and beating Antonio Cesaro at Final Stand VI. So without further adue... The first participant in the United States Championship number one contenders match... John Cena!

As Stephanie announces the first competitor and the crowd burst into cheers, the titantron behind her lights up to reveal the near complete match graphic for that match. Stephanie turns to look at the graphic, slowly applauding as she looks back towards the crowd.



Stephanie waits just a little bit before raising her microphone back up to continue speaking.



[Stephanie McMahon]
And now for the Intercontinental Championship. We decided to go with a superstar who hasn't held a championship in XWL. This could be his crowning accomplishment, it's all he's wanted since becoming apart of this company, and I'm very happy to present him such an opportunity after working tirelessly to stand out above the rest for quite some time. Allow me to welcome the first participant in the Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders match at Uprising...Eric Young!

Once again, the crowd cheers for the name announced by Stephanie McMahon, who is once again applauding and nodding her head in approval, as the match graphic for that match now appears on the titantron behind her.



Stephanie then raises her microphone once again.



[Stephanie McMahon]
So next week, stay tuned, their opponents will be revealed and as this was my idea, I figured we could shake things up a bit. Despite the fact John Cena and Eric Young will be in separate matches competing for separate titles at Uprising, we are going to have them face off... Tonight! And with all that said, I'd like to personally hope that each and everyone of you in attendance and sitting at home watching enjoys tonight's show.

Stephanie's theme once again plays as she begins to make her way back behind the curtain. We then begin to fade to a hype video for the man who'll be facing Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship; Dean Ambrose.

[Jim Ross] Welcome back folks, I'm just getting word that Matt Striker is currently outside the arena with The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry. I'm told that Mark has a special message that he'd like to send to Mr. Maddox, take it away Matt.

*We head backstage where Mark Henry is shown standing in front of two huge tractor trailers behind him, they have cords attached to gear that he's wearing as Matt Striker approaches him.*



[Matt Striker] Mark.. First of all I'd like to welcome you back to XWL, you made a big impact as being the returning superstar in Vince McMahon's announcement being the man chosen to face Brad Maddox at Uprising. It's been some time since we've seen you so it's great to see you put right back into a Pay Per View spot where you rightfully belong. But enough of the Pay Per View, I think we should get talking about right now..



[Matt Striker] Behind us here are two tractor trailers with a total combined weight of over 100,000 pounds, you hear me right folks. One Hundred Thousand. I was told that you plan to pull both of these tractor trailers twenty feet across the parking lot to the finish line. What's.. what's running through your mind right now and why exactly have you chosen to do this?



[Mark Henry] When I was in XWL before, I felt like nobody took Mark Henry seriously. When I tell a man I could break him in half if I wanted to, I want them to believe it. This is XWL, this ain't no place for joking. When I was out with an injury and I saw this skinny little kid Brad Maddox walking around thinking he owns the place, it made me mad, real mad. So I want to say thank you to Vince McMahon for hand picking me to face Brad Maddox at Uprising for his one shot at an XWL contract. You can call me the XWL gate keeper because as long as I'm up and running there's going to be no room for "Brad Maddoxes" in XWL. That's why tonight I'm gonna set the record straight that I am THE strongest man in the world and there is nobody in that locker room who can contest it. I want to make sure that Brad Maddox is watching this because this is what he's gonna have to put up with at Uprising.



[Mark Henry] The Hall of Pain is officially open for business and I've got a whole wing dedicated to you, Brad. If you think all of the times you've been taken out by security was bad, none of those security guards could match up to Mark Henry, a hundred thousand security guards couldn't match up to Mark Henry! You see this ambulance and those EMT's behind me? XWL put them there for my safety with this.. But they best make sure there's an ambulance and a set of EMT's at ringside at Uprising for Brad Maddox because he's gonna need it.

*Mark then takes a confident deep breath and looks out to the finish line.*



[Mark Henry] It's time to make some history, you best get outta the way Matt.

*Matt hurries off and stands beside the EMT's as Henry slaps his chest multiple times to pump himself up and lets out a huge roar of a war cry and gets into position.*



*He tests the strength of the harnesses on his back and primes himself to start going as a couple people in the parking lot start cheering for Mark already as he nods his head with confidence. More wrestlers show up shouting for Mark as he starts to make his push, he manages to get a few feet straight away as the camera focuses on the trucks moving past the starting line.*



*The handful of wrestlers start to urge Mark on as he continues to make his way not stopping at all with the constant pull of the two trucks weighing over 100,000 pounds.*



*He gets closer and closer as the urging on from the people watching gets stronger and stronger as Mark makes his last push to the finish line, he gets closer to the line and closer and.. he does it! The trucks go past the finish line as Mark Henry astonishingly pulls the trucks twenty feet as Mark falls to his knees.*



*The worried medics and wrestlers surround Mark to check on him but he gets onto one knee and pushes them away! They walk slowly back towards Mark with caution as they take the harness off of him and now Mark shouts at the top of his lungs.*

"THAT'S WHAT I DO!!!"



*Mark looks with a confident stare as he gets up to his feet as everyone gives him a huge round of applause, he takes a breather and a drink of water as the camera fades backstage.*



[Brad Maddox] Yes Carson.. I saw it.. I know, Carson. Over 100,000 pounds, you don't need to remind me- Damnit, I know how easily he could break me in half, look..



[Brad Maddox] I have an interview later on tonight, I need to prepare for that but all I have running through my head right now is that! How the hell am I supposed to beat that guy in a match? Ugh.. Look, I need to lie down, clear my head, something. This is bad Carson, real bad.. I know.. Wait, someone's coming into the locker room, hold on.



[Brad Maddox] Vickie?! What are you doing here, you're not GM anymore are you? Are you here to deliver some good news like Mark Henry injuring himself while pulling two trucks and he can't compete at Uprising? Please tell me you are..



[Vickie Guerrero] No.. I'm just here to tell you on behalf of everyone that.. you're going to get destroyed at Uprising! Hahaha!!

*Vickie breaks out into her witch-like cackling laugh as she walks out of the locker room leaving a worried Brad on his own. He throws his phone against the wall and puts his hand on his head freaking out as we fade away to a commercial break.*

XWL's Breakdown returns from the brief video package hyping up the main event for the night and the cameras head backstage, where we see one of XWL's prominent interviewers, Josh Mathews.



[Josh Mathews]: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, I'm standing by with John...

Before Josh Mathews can finish his sentence, a familiar voice cuts him off and the cameras shift to the right, where we see The Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison, standing by. John Morrison holds his finger up to his mouth, telling Mathews to quite down and instructs Mathews to place the microphone closer to him so he can speak.



[John Morrison]: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, you all have the pleasure to watch me, The Shaman of Sexy, The Prince of Parkour, John Morrison, partake in this interview. Now before I start, I'm going to ask that you guys and especially you ladies to stay focused, I know that my impressive physique can be quite the distraction, am I right Josh?

Josh Mathews hesitantly looks at Morrison up and down...

[John Morrison]: You didn't answer my question, Josh...

[Josh Mathews]: Right, John. Last week, we saw you go one-on-one with The Viper, Randy Orton. It looked like you were just about to finish the match with a Starship Pain but to everyone's surprise, Kofi Kingston came out and interrupted the match, giving you the win by disqualification. He would then attack you and even attempt to go for the Trouble in Paradise...



[John Morrison]: Don't you think I remember Josh? You can save the flashback. Let me guess what you're going to say next..."What are your thoughts about Kofi Kingston coming out and interrupting your match?" No? Close enough. Listen Josh, it was so obvious that I had Randy's number, he's another one of those overrated guys in this business that don't deserve any of the recognition that he gets and I proved it last week. I proved that he doesn't live up to the name "The Viper" or "The Apex Predator", he couldn't even out-wrestle me if he tried his hardest. However, before I could put The Viper to rest, Kofi decided to blindside me and inadvertently handed me the victory last week, and clearly, the help was not needed. I don't think Kofi understands that I am above him and that he doesn't belong in the same ring as me. At X-Treme X-mas, I made it my duty to beat some sense into his thick skull that a man as successful as me should never be disrespected like Kofi attempted to do. You understand me, Josh?

[Josh Mathews]: I do John, but although Kofi hasn't exactly been as successful in the title department like you, one can argue that Kofi is one of the most athletically gifted in this business and has put on some great matches.



[John Morrison]: That's great to know Josh but let's be honest, Kofi is nothing more than a spot monkey. I let you in on a little secret Josh, athleticism gets you nowhere in this company, guys like Rey Mysterio still haven't found any success in this company and putting on great matches means nothing when you have guys like me putting on classics each and every single time I compete. I honestly think I have this whole thing figured out, I know why Kofi came out to that ring when I returned at X-Treme X-mas and I know why he interrupted me and one word sums it up, jealousy. Kofi Kingston will never be as successful as me because he doesn't have the look. What kind of look? The look of a champion. Sadly, everyone can't be as fortunate as I am and while most people can make up for their lacking looks, Kofi cant. He just doesn't possess the attributes that are innate in me. Kofi is as bland as they come, no charisma, no passion, no confidence, it's only a matter of time before he's called back to developmental and repackaged, maybe he'll come back with a Jamaican accent. Oh wait, that didn't work either.

[Josh Mathews]: Some harsh words for Kofi Kingston from The Prince of Parkour. Tonight, you face the XWL World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio, any strategies heading into this match? Any thoughts on Del Rio? Are you worried about Kofi Kingston possibly interfering again?



[John Morrison]: John Morrison...worried? That has never been the case, Josh. If Kofi knows what's best for him, he'll know that he shouldn't be anywhere I am, he doesn't have much luck when it comes to approaching me. And as for Alberto Del Rio, in my eyes, he isn't a real champion until he beats me. Look at the guys he's faced, Christian and The Miz. I've beaten these guys countless times, I wish I could count the times on my hands but I don't have enough fingers and even if I used your fingers to count, it still wouldn't be enough. If he's struggling with those two, I don't know how he expects to step in the ring with me and actually stand a chance. I hope management is watching carefully when I pin Del Rio in that ring tonight, this is only the beginning of my year and a preview of what's to come.

[Josh Mathews]: Well ladies and gentlemen, there you have it...

John Morrison cuts Josh off yet again...

[John Morrison]: As an old friend would once say, you're welcome.

With that, John Morrison shoves the microphone into Josh's chest and walks off the camera as the camera fades out and we head to the next scene...

well first off i would like to say thank you to all the support from the XWL Universe i just would like to say i respect every each one of you and i thank so much for giving me the respect last week after i let all of you down. but i came out and put on a great show for you guys with gunner and gave it my all. kid you have a future in this bushiness and your welcome last week i gave you all i could and you ended up on top. now as far as that being said yes i was a lil upset and dispointed i lost but i didn't let my jealousy get the best of me friends come first in my eyes Gunner you brought the best out in me and i thank you so much and kid i respect the hell out of you and wish you luck again the big show.

now as far as that being said last week after my match i had a run in with Leo Kruger. now i will like to talk about that really fast Leo kid if your looking to take on the icon sting well kid i still have alot of fight in me. Leo your picking a fight with a man who took out the nwo single handily in wcw hell i was the king of wcw you know what i did i ran wcw i earned my shots kid and look where i am today i am still here in full spirit and ready to fight you have the balls to confront me after a hard fought match i had well kid i can tell you this that i am not hard to found i will be right here. but kid let me tell you this your heading down a dark road you don't wanna head down because you know why Leo i will be that monster at the end of your dark road always remember your never know about sting and what i am capable of Leo.

now that that is out of my system i still have alot of stuff to say woooo!!! you know before last week i sat and thought to my self do i still have it or do i still want this of do i still have love for what i do your dam right sting is going to rule ass in 2014 and you can dam sure bet that i will become world heavyweight champion again one day this is my time to shine one more time and i promise to xwl universe i will delivery one more time.

but anyways i would like to say that there are some great uprising starts in this company and i would just like to say that i respect each and everyone of you that works hard and makes there way to the hall of fame and one day each and every one of you will become a legend and i would like to thank the xwl universe for your time and i hope you all have a great night.

As XWL continues, with Renee Young standing in front of the camera with The Masked man, Rey Mysterio.



Renee Young:
Hello everyone, I'm Renee Young and please welcome my guest at this time, Rey Mysterio. Now Rey, just two weeks ago when you first arrived on the scene, you were interuppted by Sheamus who spoke no words but instead deliverd a strong Brogue Kick. Then last week you called him out to the ring which you both exchanged words and lead up to a match between the two of you being announced for Uprising. Can you remind the fans why you want this match?

As she finishes her question, she holds the mic up to Rey's mouth.



Rey Mysterio:
Well it's pretty obvious that he showed the ultimate sign of disrespect by not only interuppting my comeback speech but also kicking me in the skull to the point where I couldn't walk straight that night during my debut match. Now I understand he's a big guy and he feels the need to prove himself. But I just want to prove to not only him but to the fans that Rey Mysterio isn't all fun and games. You push my buttons and you might activate a deadly machine. So I'm basically going into this match with high hopes of showing the world that I can overcome any challenge whether I'm six foot five with a jacked up build or 5 foot 9 with a scrawny build. I have heart and in my eyes that's all it's gonna take to beat Sheamus.

Renee Young:
Right, what are your thoughts on Sheamus going one on one against the United States champion later tonight?

Rey Mysterio:
You know, like I've said in the past, Sheamus is an impressive athlete and he has the opportunity tonight to knock off the United States champion. I just hope he shows Antonio the respect he didn't show me or Sheamus may feel an Neutralizer.

Renee Young:
Well not only does Sheamus have a chance to prove himself tonight against the United States Champion, but you have a match against the former United States Champion. How do you feel going into this match? Are you looking to make an example out of Triple H or do you show him the respect that you feel others should show you and look forward to facing him just to see who the better man really is?



Rey Mysterio:
Now you know me. I usually don't have beef with others unless they decide to disrespect me. It's pretty well known now that I'm big on respect. Triple H has always shown respect towards me and I've done the same to him so I am ready for a fair battle tonight between the two of us. I know he may think the same about me. He's a very good competitor, one of the best in this company actually and I can't wait to see if I got what it takes to take out the King of Kings here on Breakdown.

Renee Young:
Ok Rey and my final question for you is.......do you have anything else to say to your opponent for Uprising before you head out for your match tonight?

She hands the mic to Rey as the camera zooms in on him.

Rey Mysterio:
Sheamus, I know that you have pride. You have pride for your heritage and culture. You feel the need to keep all that strong by looking like a warrior. Walking around dominating everyone in your path. Well, you are colliding with a guy who just so happens to wear his pride over his head every single week. I fight for my culture and my heritage but when you bite a big peace off of that, you awaken a fighting hero. A hero who promises to stand up for everything that I've accomplished. Everything I stand for. Everyone who has ever been known as the underdog. So don't think for one second that Rey Mysterio is just a door mat. Because at Uprising I promise you a fight like no other.

Rey Mysterio hands the mic back to Renee as she finishes up the interview.

Renee Young:
Ok Rey, thanks for your.......

Renee suddenly stops talking with a frightend look on her face as she looks past Rey's shoulder. Wondering what she's looking at, Rey turns around to a big axehandle from Sheamus. Renee can be heard screaming as he then pulls Rey back up to his feet by his shirt and begins to unload on him with a fury of punches as he goes for another punch, Rey ducks and throws a few left and rights before finally Sheamus manages to send a punishing headbut his way to stop the offense from Rey. He then throws him across the hall at the wall to crack a framed poster of Uprising. He's not done yet. He brings Rey back to his feet just to lift him on his shoulder and carry him around the corner where there is a nice lounge for the wrestlers to sit and chat with a food table and a flat screen TV hanging on the wall. Sheamus proceeds to run full speed and ram Rey Mysterio into the TV, busting the screen. Medics and officials huddle the scene, all trying to get Sheamus to stop the assault. He manages to push them all away and grab Rey by the mask. He delivers a few strong knees to Rey's gut before lifting Rey Mysterio up in the Celtic Cross position and send him crashing through a table full of food to end the scene with a devilish look across his face while officials and medical staff rush to his aid.

[OOC: Something small for this week. Tell me what you guys think]

I'm telling you, man, this new management is whack. First they refuse to give me the title shot that I deserve. Then they give Eric Young a #1 contenders match at Uprising! . . . Did I mention that I was injured during my title defense against Antonio? 

You did . . . A few times-

I'm telling you, man. They're out to get me. But no one keeps Kenny King down, you wanna know why?

Why-

CAUSE' I'M THE KING! Yeah, that's right. This is my show. This is Kenny King's show. Ha ha, hey, what's your name by the way?

It's Stan-

Let me tell you something, Steve. I'm the future of this company. I've got star quality, maturity and capability. Something that Eric Young doesn't have. Something that none of these people have. But I have it, Stu. I've always had it and always will have it. There is not a single person on this roster that I can't beat. 

But didn't you lose to Kingston last week?

Damn, Sam, how you gonna do me like that? Huh, I guess EVERYONE'S against me around here. Beat it, before I decide to beat you. 

Can you believe that guy? Talking 'bout how I lost to Kingston last week. PLEASE.

Well . . . Didn't you?

Kenny? Mr. King? Hey!

Kenny turns around to see Josh Matthews charging at him, microphone in hand. 

Ah, here you are! I've been looking for you! 

Kenny actual sprouts a smile as he fixes his posture. 

Really- I mean, ha, of course you are! Everyone wants an interview with the King! So what's this one going to be about, me reclaiming my United States championship, how there's a conspiracy against me, or did you just want to talk about how much Eric Young doesn't deserve a #1 contenders match? Because let me tell you something, Josh, I-

Actually, Kenny, I was ugh, I was just wondering if you knew where I could find Xavier Woods. 

Yeah . . . Yeah I know where you can find Xavier Woods. Would you ugh, would you like me to tell you where he is? 

Josh nods eagerly, moving closer to Kenny. 

WELL TOO DAMN BAD! 

Don't worry, Josh. I'll continue your interview for you. I've got some words for Mr. Woods anyhow. 

Kenny bends down and picks up the piece of paper that was in Josh's hand. It's a list of questions for one, Xavier Woods. Kenny then turns to the camera and signals for it to follow him. 

Let's go see what's on Mr. Wood's mind . . .

We return from commercial break to see Prince Devitt standing in his locker room looking into his mirror.

Prince Devitt
We could have had it all lads...

Devitt grabs his jacket from his locker, putting it on as he continues to speak into the mirror.

Prince Devitt
If only you hadn't been so careless, maybe, maybe things could have been different. But there's no use worrying about the past.

Devitt turns away from the mirror and sighs

Prince Devitt
Wherever you are my friends, I hope you rest easy. I promise, I will find out who did this... Even if it's the last thing I do.

Deivtt heads to his locker room door and swings it open, he exits the room and walks down the corridor only to be stopped by Jeremy Borash looking for an interview with the up and comer.

Jeremy Borash
Prince Devitt! If I could just take a moment of your time.

Prince Devitt
Not now Borash, I've got some things I need to take care of.

Devitt pushes Borash to the side and continues down the hall, he passes some stage workers and a few irrelevant superstars before he turns around the corner and heads down another corridor where he spots Sheamus in the middle of filming an interview for XWL.com.

Sheamus
Yes, 1-800-FELLA is a genuine service for those that just need an arse kicking to solve their problems. Ya haven't heard of it? It's actually quite therapeutic, I'll have you know that the business is rol-

Sheamus stops mid sentence as he spots Devitt walking into his view. Devitt turns to the cameraman.

Prince Devitt
You best scarper if you know what's good for ya'.

The cameraman stands his ground, which just angers Devitt.

Prince Devitt
I said get lost. Now!

Devitt lunges at the cameraman which is enough to startle him into stepping back and making his leave.

Sheamus
Hey! That was me airtime! What the hell do ya think you're doing, fella?

Prince Devitt turns toward Sheamus and stands face to face with him.

Prince Devitt
I don't give a damn about yer air time, why did you do it?

Sheamus
........Do what?

Prince Devitt
Stop acting stupid, Carrot Top. Why did you leave bloody messes out of Karl Anderson and Bad Luck Fale?

Sheamus
Arn Anderson? Bad News Fale? OH.......Right, I've heard about your gang's various......misadventures. I can assure you that the Celtic Warrior had nothing to do with that, you'd best be looking in some other direction. Perhaps the bootleg Chris Jericho jacket you got at the flea market can help lead the way. Or is that a light-up Christmas tree? I can't tell.

Devitt looks as if he's about to sock the Celtic Warrior, but then Sheamus puts his hand on his chin, and, seems to come up with an idea with a resounding "Ah!"

Sheamus
I might know where the attacker could be. You see that hallway down there?

Sheamus points to the end of the hallway.

Sheamus
You take the path down there, make a left, take the second right, he's around the corner and.....up your arse. Don't wrongly accuse me of anything again, fella. You'll live to regret it. Now get your face out of here or else I'll kick it off.

Devitt can't help but grin as Sheamus tries to intimidate and threaten him.

Prince Devitt
You might get your jolly's from picking on the... smaller talent, but unlike yer little masked friend, you can't push Prince Devitt around and not expect him to push you right back. I should teach you a lesson for talking ill of my fallen friends and disrespecting this beautifully made custom jacket... But luckily for you, I have more business that I need to attend to. Oh, and if you were the one who took out the Bullet Club, you better hope for your sake that I never find out, because if I do, what you did to that masked midget will pale in comparison to what I will do to you.

Devitt smirks at Sheamus and walks past him, making sure to bump into him as he leaves. Sheamus stares at him coldly as he disappears into one of the locker rooms.

We cut away from Sheamus back to Prince Devitt who is now looking through the empty locker room, he surveys the room but with no one around, he's about to leave the room when..

???
What are you doing in my locker room?

Devitt's smile returns to his face as he turns around to see Kofi Kingston in his ring attire ready to compete in his match.

Prince Devitt
Well, if it isn't Kofi Kingston, the resident door mat for the superstars of Breakdown.

Kofi Kingston
I asked you a question.

Prince Devitt
Woah, relax will ya? I was just looking to relieve some stress and I hear that there's no better way to do that than to kick the absolute shit out of you.

Kofi Kingston
I really don't have the time for this Devitt. I have a match I need to get ready for, so how about you stop this big man attitude of yours and just tell me why you broke into my locker room.

Prince Devitt

Kofi is growing restless having Prince Devitt in his face, he clenches his fists and grits his teeth, standing his ground.

Look, I'm sorry about what happened to your friends, really I am, but I didn't have anything to do with it.

Devitt starts to laugh at Kofi's response.

Please! As if I could think that you were behind this! Look at you, you couldn't take me out let alone those two. Hahaha. I was right about coming here, thanks for the laugh, I needed that.

Kofi annoyed by Devitt's response answers with a quick reply.

Then why are you in my locker room?

Prince Devitt
I started thinking about what happened last week to Fale and Anderson, there's no way that anyone could cause that much damage and not leave a witness behind. So then I thought to myself, who on the roster has so little talent that they're forced to spend every waking moment in the backstage area, hiding away from any insecurities? And then it hit me, Kofi Kingston!

If you don't change your attitude, I'll be the one hitting you.

Prince Devitt
Again with the threats. What is with the hostility in this locker room 'eh? First Sheamus wants to kick my face of and now you want to 'hit' me. How is a man supposed to get any answers when everyone on the roster is out to get him heh?

Devitt is surveying the room as Kofi says something under his breath which Devitt just about manages to hear.

Kofi Kingston
That's rich coming from a leprechaun.

Hearing that word causes Devitt to lash out, he throws Kofi into his locker and pins him up against the wall, leaving him no room for escape.

Prince Devitt
What did ya' say to me?! You wanna speak a little louder eh? Maybe try and say that again but this time to my face?!

Kofi seething with anger now stares straight at Devitt as he repeats himself.

I said that's rich coming from a...

Devitt strikes Kofi in the gut with his knee, stopping him from finishing his sentence.

Prince Devitt
Did you really think you could get away with insulting me like that? Did you think there wouldn't be consequences?

Devitt slaps Kofi across the face.

Prince Devitt
Aren't you going to defend yourself? Don't you have anything you want to say? Maybe you want to call me a harpie? Or maybe even a drunk?

Devitt slaps Kofi again.

Prince Devitt
You're nothing but a pathetic little coward.

Devitt goes to slap Kofi again, but Kofi fights back, he pushes Devitt away and hits him with a kick to the skull which sends him down to one knee. Kofi prepares for a fight as Devitt is left kneeling with his head in his hands, but Devitt's reaction to his attack takes him by surprise.

Hahahahahahahaha....

Devitt looks up to kofi whilst laughing.

Prince Devitt
Gotta say, I didn't think you had it in ya.

The laughter stops as Devitt gets back to his feet, but his smile is still there as he wipes the side of his face where Kofi kicked him.

Prince Devitt
You know where I am if you hear anything.

Devitt turns around and leaves the locker room, the camera stays focused on a confused Kingston as we head away to a commercial break.

The picture that once showed on our screens is replaced by static, the horrible sound of white noise plays through the speakers making some in the crowd press their hands against their ears in hope to block out some of the noise. To their relief the sound comes to a quick end as someone's voice can be heard.

The static disappears as the camera feed returns and the picture shows Roman Reigns standing in an undisclosed location holding a hand held camera.

Swagger, I told you exactly what was going to happen if you showed your face in that ring last week, I presented you with your options and you unwisely chose to get your head kicked in by the most dominant man this company has seen. At the end of the day it's no skin off my back, as a matter of fact I enjoyed breaking, I enjoyed beating you down and giving you an ass kicking like you've never suffered before and what makes it that bit more enjoyable is the fact that you could've avoided the entire situation but instead you showed your inability to think. You showed that maybe old Swagger has taken one too many shots to the head and now his mind has run away with him or maybe you're just a stupid fool who believed that he could actually get the better of Roman Reigns, well I cut that idea short just as quickly as I cut you in half.

You have nobody to blame but yourself Jacky boy, that pain your feeling in your ribs right now, the aches as you walk, all of that lies on your head and your poor judgement. Boo hoo. Reigns lets out a slight chuckle You should count your blessings son and thank your lucky stars that I didn't feel the need to make a necklace out of your teeth. Reigns drops the camera on the floor, as the camera hits the ground it bounces slightly before landing in a tilted position pointed at Reigns' feet. The camera shows Reigns walking away and out of the shot and as he does the camera fades out into a hype package for the Best in the World: CM Punk.

The camera cuts backstage where CM Punk can be standing and talking with Paul Heyman



[[Punk]]:: I swear to God if you mention a team I will sock you one.

[Heyman]: No, no, no. I was just curious if you are you prepared for your match tonight?

[[Punk]]:: Paul, I'm always prepared.

[Heyman]: Oh really? Then tell me, who exactly are you facing tonight?

Punk looks up and shrugs

[[Punk]]:: Doesn't matter.

[Heyman]: What do you mean it doesn't matter? Of course it matters!

[[Punk]]:: Paul, unless you have somehow forgotten. I'm the Best in the World! They could send anyone down to that ring at any given time and I would beat them down, put their ass to sleep and send them packing out of my ring. So yeah Paul, I don't feel it matters because I know I can beat anyone in the back that they feel provides a good enough challenge for me, it doesn't matter because I am not concerned, I am not concerned because I am better than every person that this business has ever seen and as a matter of fact I'm a little disappointed that I have to explain this to you. Of all people you should understand, of all people should know that I don't care who I face in that ring week in and week out because at the end of the day it's rivial, same outcome, same result, I win and they sleep.

Heyman holds his hands up in the air and motions for Punk to calm down

[Heyman]: You don't have to explain that to me, I'm your biggest fan for crying out loud but I am a big believer in doing your homework when it comes to your opponents.

[[Punk]]:: Homework is for school kids. I'm the Best in the World!  

Heyman lets out a sigh, he realises that he is not making any progress here and no matter what he says Punk just brushes it off regardless

[Heyman]: Are you not even the slightest bit curious?

Now Punk sighs

[[Punk]]:: If I say yes will it get you off my back?

[Heyman]: Yes.

[[Punk]]:: Fine, tell me who I am facing tonight.

[Heyman]: Christian!

A look of confusion shows itself on Punk's face

[[Punk]]:: ….Who?

[Heyman]: Christian! Y'know, as in Edge and Christian

Punk starts rubbing his chin as he thinks

[[Punk]]:: The “Edge” part sounds familiar but I've got to be honest with you, this “Christian” person isn't ringing any bells Paul.

Heyman stares at Punk in disbelief

[Heyman]: Are you kidding me? You attacked him several times last year, stole his Money in the Bank briefcase, had many matches with him, his wife? Now does it ring any bells?

[[Punk]]:: Paul, I think I would remember doing something like that. Are you sure you're not confusing me with someone else? Perhaps that big meathead Ryback? Brock Lesnar? Curtis Axel? Tommy Dreamer? He's desperate for work, seems like something he would do.

Heyman starts pulling out what little hair remains on his head

[Heyman]: You've got to be kidding me!

Punk smiles, lets out a chuckle and pats Heyman on the shoulder

[[Punk]]:: Paul, you've got to lighten up, I know exactly who you mean and to be honest I still have no concerns. The Captain with no Charisma, he can talk on and on about how he is one of the most charismatic superstars to walk these halls but at the end of the day for the past God knows how many years he has been the same, dull, boring Christian that we have come to know. There's no shaking things up, even when he tried his hand at being a bad guy he couldn't even get the people to boo. It's easy to get people to boo and he couldn't even achieve that and let's not mention his track record for the past few months. When all is said and done, there is nothing that Christian brings to the table that I haven't seen before, there is nothing he can do that puts a doubt in my mind and when the fat lady sings that fact will be proven.

Heyman cheers up, a smile shows itself on his face and both men share a little laugh

[Heyman]: Yeah, I mean the worst thing he could do to you is force you to watch the Peep Show.

Heyman feels proud of his joke, he enjoys a good laugh for a brief moment until he opens his eyes and realises CM Punk is not sharing in the humour, instead he is staring at him with a look of disgust plastered on his face

[Heyman]: ….. What?

[[Punk]]:: He does a peep show?

[Heyman]: …. Yeah, he's been doing them for years....

The look of disgust worsens

[[Punk]]:: That's sick.

[Heyman]: How is it sick? He goes to the ring and does the peep show, what's wrong with that?

[[Punk]]:: He does in the ring?

[Heyman]: Yes...

[[Punk]]:: On live television?

[Heyman]: Yes....

[[Punk]]:: And kids see this?

[Heyman]: YES!

[[Punk]]:: So you're telling me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with kids watching Christian going out to the ring and giving the whole World a little peep show?

[Heyman]: Yes, there is nothing wrong with it...

Punk looks disgusted with Heyman and points in his face

[[Punk]]:: You've changed.

Punk walks off out of camera shot and away from Paul Heyman who is left standing there confused

[Heyman]: Where are you going?

Punk's voice can be heard from a distance

[[Punk]]:: To be a good citizen and alert the authorities to put a stop to that sick man, he should be put on the list...

Heyman can be seen thumbing through the thoughts in his head trying to figure out whatever it is CM Punk is talking about until his expression changes, the lightbulb switched on and he's realised. He quickly starts running after Punk.

[Heyman]: Punk wait! It's not what you think!

[[Punk]]:: Take whatever it is up with someone else, sicko.

The camera fades out into XWL's 1000th commercial break
