XWL Breakdown: 8/8/2014 - 8/15/2014

Breakdown returns to the sound of some familiar music beginning to play...



Preluded by some pyro, darkness momentarily engulfs the arena punctuated by a few multi-coloured lights.  The boos rain down on the entrance way as the lights come up revealing Chris Jericho standing there with his arms outstretched in one of his trademark jackets.



Jericho spins around with a smug look on his face, as though reveling in the heat he is receiving from the fans before making his way down the entrance ramp with little emotion on his face.



Jericho doesn't allow the fans to overpower his sense of superiority over them with their constant onslaught of negativity as he makes his way down the ramp.  His confidence is obvious for everyone to see just from the way he moves.



As the fans continue to voice their hatred of their former favourite, Jericho simply lets it wash over him as he climbs the ring steps and completes his ring entrance, settling in the middle of the ring where his fabled Highlight Reel set has been set up, all set for the returning segment.  As his music dies down, the boos become ever more pronounced, but are eventually interrupted by Jericho talking over them.

Welcome... to the single most entertaining and highest rated talk show in wrestling history.  Forget about Piper's Pit, Carlito's Cabana, Miz TV... actually, you can even forget about Larry King or Conan... this is the Highlight Reel.  And judging from your reactions right now you're no different than any of the other millions of parasites around the world who boo me and jeer me for no good reason, other than the fact that I am what I say I am and that is that I am the best in the world at what I do.  No amount of booing will hinder me or change that fact.  And right now, despite your obvious attempts to derail this segment you are all hanging on to my every word, eagerly anticipating what is going to happen next on this returning episode of the Highlight Reel.

And like the professional that I am I will overcome your adversity.  I will rise above your unjust opinions of me because I am above each and every single one of you.  You sit there in your seats believing that the price of admission gives you the right to slander me... to jeer me... to treat me as though I am some kind of lesser man, just because I speak my mind.  You think you can belittle me just because I choose to disagree with what you think an XWL Superstar should be and that is a mindless zombie, willing to bend over backwards to send you home happy with a smile on your face... You're all hypocrites and I refuse to let myself slip back into the mindset where pleasing you people was all that mattered.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and I'll keep saying it until it sinks into your thick skulls: I am not that man anymore.  So you can continue to boo me... to jeer me all you want to.  You can't change that fact and when I am standing over everybody else with the World Heavyweight Championship around my waist, I can't wait to taste the feeling of satisfaction I'll experience when I look out into the audience and see the expressions on your faces admitting that I was right.  That you people are nothing more than hindrances on true talent and the reason why I have descended into the position that I am today instead of where I belong.  Do you understand what I am saying to you right now?

But enough about that, moving on from you parasites to one of the biggest parasites of them all.  Let's move onto the main course of this show and bring out my guest here tonight.  He is one of the most conniving, scheming, manipulative individuals to ever walk on the face of this planet.  My guest tonight, would stab his own grandmother in the back if it meant forwarding his own career, or making any amount of money.  He truly is the most selfish person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my travels inside and outside of this business.  I give to you...

Paul Heyman!

There is a vastly negative reaction to Heyman being introduced as he begins to stride towards the ring with a power-walk without any music.  He's deceptively fast for someone of his physique and oozes confidence and reaches the bottom of the ramp in seconds.



Jericho has begun removing his light up jacket for some reason and folds it neatly as Heyman climbs the ring steps.  It's become quite clear at this point that the fans don't know who to boo more, Heyman or Jericho.



Heyman completes his entrance and stands with a confident posture as the host begins to address his guest.  The boos are very loud at this point.

Welcome, Paul... it's nice to see that you've managed to take a break from messing around with your puppets to come on out here.  And alone.  Wow! It's a big step for you here tonight.  You're all grown up now and who knows maybe you could start fending for yourself and doing your own dirty work... but I think we both know that'd be too much...  Oh and if you're wondering about the jacket, I thought I'd take it off because I didn't want to dazzle you as I know how much slimy bugs like you hate bright lights...

With Chris Jericho continuing with his rant about his current guest's Paul Heyman's more than questionable... personality, Heyman takes his microphone from his seat and interrupts Jericho before he can say anything further

I get it, very funny, Mr Jericho, very funny indeed. I'm a worm, I'm a parasite, well unfortunately for you I've heard them all before, and while you may want to judge me for my personality, all you have to do is look at my successes, look at the diamonds in the rough I have took from obscurity and launched into Main Event stardom. So you can insult me all you want, but there's only one Money in the Bank briefcase holder, there's only one Best in the World, and we both know neither of them are you, but that one is a Paul Heyman guy, just like we know that there is only one new Next Big Thing in XWL, and there's only one Swiss Superman and we both know that there is only one man that is the One behind the One's, and that's me. So before you go back into one of your infamous tirades, Mr Jericho, I would just like to properly introduce myself to the XWL Universe.



Heyman clears his throat as he goes into his usual routine as he gladly introduces himself to the crowd here in Washington DC as they passionately start to boo him

Ladies and Gentlemen my name is Paul Heyman and while you may call my the puppet master, and others may call me a Walrus, Sleazy, a Parasite, or a No good backstabber who is only out for himself and the amount he has no use for you he will ditch you for the latest flavor of the month, while those do have varying degrees of truth to them, and yes I have screwed over plenty of people, and maybe I have done one or two things I'm not quite proud of to survive for just one more day, but one thing I have never done is lied when it matters. I have never lied when it comes to my clients, and I have always had the best interests of the people I represent at heart. And that Mr. Jericho is why I accepted your invite to be here tonight.



Paul Heyman
I stand here before you on the Highlight Reel as the representative of the man who currently holds the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase, the man who has earned the right to call himself the Best in the World and he proves it every single week, in this very ring I might add, but he is also the man who as the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase holds the very fate of the XWL World Heavyweight championship in his very hands, which means if at any point he decides to cash in said briefcase then we will witness the crowning of a brand new World Heavyweight champion. And this man as it happens is my best friend in the entire world, this man is the best in the world... Not you Mr. Jericho, no my client is the Best in the World, and he doesn't need a Talk Show, he doesn't need a Podcast, a Radio Show, a Quiz Show, a seventh place prize in a Reality Show or a Band, my client is quite simply the Best Wrestler in the World and if he was standing in this very ring right now I'm sure he would tell this as well, but while you might be the Best in the World at what you do, you don't do what my client does. My client in the best wrestler in the world, the best on this microphone in the world, the best commentator in the world and even the best friend in the world, and this man is known as a plethora of things, but he is the man that they call...



As per usual when Heyman emphatically says the name of his most prized client the crowd happily says it along with him his his name echoes throughout the arena

C...M... Punk!

The crowd applaud in support of Punk as Heyman quickly goes back to what he wants to say to Jericho

But as I told you two weeks ago Mr. Jericho, you simply are not on CM Punk's radar right now...

Again, as they did two weeks ago when Heyman harshly breaks the news shutting down any possibility of an upcoming match between Jericho and Punk down the crowd start to boo once again

However, you have caught the eye of my other client, my other client who just happens to be the hungriest, most driven young superstar in XWL today, my client who has clawed his way to this stage, and he's barely even scratched the surface yet of what he can do. My client who is the very future of XWL and he knows it, and I know it. This man and mark my words Mr. Jericho is the very next Next Big Thing in XWL and there is a reason for that and that reason is one you do not want to experience first hand I can assure you of that. My client is the undoubted pound for pound strongest man in XWL today and he is the man they call the King of Swing! My client of course, and I know that you already know exactly who I am talking about because he is the man whose mere presence in this very ring caused you to flee in amongst the sea of hypocrites and liars that he professedly despise. He is a throwback to the days of such superstars of Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund and Buddy Rodgers. Men like Killer Kowalski, Stan Stasiak and Pedro Morales could only wish that they had the ability that my client does and if he was around when they were it wouldn't of been Bruno Sammartino that held the championship for 20 years, it would of been the man to I have the privilege to call my client. The man I am referring to is my client... Ces...Ar...O!

I'm on the radar of your least impressive "client" and someone who patterns himself after a bunch of old guys who made careers out of generic, basic wrestling moves and had little to no outstanding ability or charisma?  Honestly Paul, even from you, I expected better.  Am I supposed to be intimidated by Cesaro?  Am I supposed to feel threatened?  Because I'm not.

And before you even mention it, I already explained my actions two weeks ago, and those same actions paid off when I defeated Bray Wyatt in a clear cut victory and in a match fitting of the true "best in the world".  Go ahead and work your evil witchcraft.  Twist my words around or try and bend them into something to make Cesaro seem like a legitimate threat to me like you always seem to do.  Make Cesaro out to be the next "Next Big Thing".  Sell the world a mediocre wrestler under the guise of a world-class legend in the making... because I see through it all Paul.  Unlike Cesaro, I am no fake.  I am not a fraud like CM Punk.  I am REAL.  



As Jericho keeps speaking Heyman is seemingly chuckling to himself finding something quite amusing

I truly am the very best in the world at what I do whether it be wrestling or anything else and I'll be damned if you are going to try and make me out to be some kind of a coward or compare me to men nowhere near my level.



Now that Jericho has finished making his point, it's Heyman's turn to retort as he starts to address what he found just amusing just a moment ago

Real? You're real? You know that's very interesting that you'd one of those buzzwords. As you see Mr. Jericho there are many many superstars that would call themselves real, but unfortunately for them none of them much like yourself have really earnt the right to call themselves real. Now what is real, Mr. Jericho is that should you ever man up and find out for yourself the power, the technique and the god given ability that my client Cesaro possesses then you would know that Cesaro is not the least impressive. My client Cesaro is far from that in fact I would go so far to say that my client is by far the most impressive superstar XWL has ever and will ever see. Now that is what I would call real. Not some multi-platform B level star such as yourself who is willing to lower himself to glorified public radio host, but a wrestling machine who each and every night he steps into this very ring and do things that many previously thought were impossible. Now that is also real. What's real Mr. Jericho is that in 1995 you were pleading to get into ECW you were pleading and pleading and pleading and I was willing to give you an opportunity.



Paul Heyman
And to your credit Mr Jericho you were a perfect fit for ECW at that time and you succeeded in ECW when no other promotion in America was willing to give you a shot, no other promoter would dare look at you, but I did, and then just thirteen short months later you showed me your true colors when you jumped ship on me, the only man who was willing to give you a chance, when you jumped ship you slapped the fans in the face, the very same fans who made you a star, you jumped ship on the wrestlers who gave you the competition you were oh so hungry for, the very competition that made you want to come to ECW in the first place, and you left ECW, you left me for the money. And you showed the world your true colors for what you really are and that's a mercenary. You sold your soul to the devil himself Billionaire Ted for a paycheck, but hey who needs artistic license, the chance to shine and to be who they really are, who needs to be part of something with a promoter who believed in you, and with fans who wanted you to get better, the ans who made Chris Jericho a name worth remembering, who needs all that when you have Billionaire Ted's paycheck delivered to your door every week? The only thing you're Best in the World at is selling out.

Now that... That's REAL.

Selling out?  That's rich coming from you Paul, of all people.  The irony is beyond belief.  It's quite obvious to me that you've pieced together parts of my career into your own warped version of events to fit this ideology that I'm some kind of money-hungry "mercenary" as you put it... but you're wrong, and you're delusional.  But I'm not surprised one bit at that, no.  In fact Paul, I expected you to come out here with more than you've shown me this far.  The very fact you're questioning my integrity, or my morals is proving to me that you know that everything I have said about you and everything I have said about Cesaro is the truth.  



[Chris Jericho]
You're diverting attention away from the flaws I'm exposing and trying to turn it around on me, just like you always do when you're threatened.  I look into your eyes Paul and I see envy at the fact that I was offered the opportunity to go on to WCW, to go on to WWE... while you were left alone to watch as your beloved brainchild ECW wither up and died after everyone there realized the type of man that you are and moved on to bigger, and better things.  You had no option but to "sell out" your own creation and surrender the one thing you loved more than anything else.  You're a sad, upset little worm of a man Paul, and I truly understand the jealousy that you have when you see someone like me: a star in the ring and out of it.  Unlike you Paul, I take the ball and I run with it instead of missing the pass completely.

You like to think that you're getting under my skin by pointing out all these past events and listing off my many media accomplishments and you like to think that, because of my outside work, that I'm somehow unable to survive in the cut-throat world of professional wrestling or achieve greatness ever again.... that I've somehow lost the ability to be as good as I have been or to overcome your peanut-brained Swiss henchman... and to be completely honest with you Paul... you are getting under my skin.  

Jericho begins to speak and the intensity and ferocity in his voice rises as he continues.

The very sight of you disgusts me and your voice is unbearable like the noise of a chalkboard being scratched over and over again.  I just cannot stand parasites and you're one of the biggest of all.  And above everything else, I'm tired of you questioning my integrity as the best in the world, however bad your attempts have been.  So enough of the talking.  For once in your life put your money where your big mouth is.  I'm going to give you the chance to back up your words, because what I'm asking you for right now is that this Sunday, you let Cesaro off his leash for a match at International Incident... versus me.

Jericho looks deep into the heartless eyes of Heyman with a cold stare of his own as the challenge is laid down.  It's almost as if it echoes around the arena several times before Heyman responds...



Paul Heyman
You think you want to face Cesaro at International Incident? You really don't get it do you? Challenging a Paul Heyman guy to a match isn't just something you do and get away with, just take a look at at the last guy who thought he could involve himself in mine and Cesaro's affairs. Oh wait you can't because he quit the very moment it dawned on him what he had in store for him and we haven't seen him since, and the beating he was in store for will pale in comparison to what my client Cesaro will do to you, and at International Incident that's exactly what will happen to you when you step into the ring with the Pound for Pound strongest man in XWL today. He will pummel you into the ground, he will throw you about this squared circle like no other, he will hit you with Uppercuts hard than you could imagine, my client has so many ways to inflict punishment upon his opponents and Mr Jericho I swear on my children's names that you will live to regret this very moment because it will spell your untimely fall from grace and after my client is done with you at International Incident, to borrow a phrase, you will never be the same again. And you will have no choice, but to accept that my client Cesaro is the real deal.



Paul Heyman
And if that wasn't obvious enough for anybody let me slow it down for you all in as few words as possible, the words that you, Mr Jericho will soon wish you never heard.

With that said Heyman says the next words to come out of his mouth very slowly and a lot louder than he normally does to ensure that nobody could possibly misunderstand him

Paul Heyman
I... Accept!



As Heyman accepts Jericho's challenge for his client Cesaro at International Incident he offers a handshake to Jericho to make it official as he says something to Jericho off mic, however Jericho just stares back at Heyman...



Jericho steps in close and you can see Heyman get uncomfortable as he speaks directly into his ear with the mic.

You think I'd shake your hand?  Think again!

Suddenly, as quick as a flash, Jericho drops his mic and jumps up with both his knees... CODEBREAKER!  Heyman is knocked out cold as Jericho regains his footing and looks down at the fallen Heyman with contempt.  A slight smirk comes over his face as his music hits.  The crowd go crazy in response to the move out of nowhere despite not liking either man, but secretly loving the match-up that has been made for this Sunday.





One thing's for sure, this has been an eventful episode of the returning Highlight Reel.  International Incident already has a stacked card and with the addition of Jericho vs Cesaro it just got that much better!  Throw in the wildcard of Paul Heyman and his dastardly schemes and you have one heck of a match set up on one heck of a show!  Breakdown continues after yet another commercial break...

Normal Match




Fresh off a commercial break, the crowd is given something to cheer for as Adam Cole’s theme hits the airwaves for the first time since his career was nearly ended at the hands of The Wyatts at Digital Decision. A full minute passes and Adam Cole is nowhere to be seen and for as much love as the people have for him, they can’t keep up the noise, especially not when uncertainty and confusion begin to creep in as they not only wonder where Cole is but worry what could be keeping him.



They have their answer.

We’re whisked away to an area presumed to be backstage that is fated to remain a mystery as it is completely shrouded in darkness except for a lone crackling flame emanating from a lantern that illuminates the stoic expression on Bray Wyatt’s face. He squats down, allowing the lantern’s warm glow to reveal the fallen and nearly lifeless body of Adam Cole!

How long did you think you could run without atoning for your sins? The hour is drawing near and you almost got away…

Cole coughs violently letting the world know that he at least hasn’t been murdered, though the alternative of reliving the nightmare with The Wyatts may not be much better. Cole uses his elbows to push himself up into a sitting position making him almost at eye level with Bray. In this abyss that knows only pain and misery, neither man says a word until Cole finally breaks his silence, adamant about not allowing Bray the last word or the last laugh.

If you want revenge… then come try and get it...but you’ll find out…just as your buddy did…that I’m not so easy to kill.

Amused at the gall Cole is showing when there is seemingly no hope or a chance of reprieve anywhere on the horizon, Bray Wyatt begins to chuckle. A haunting cackle that leads you to believe that Cole has signed his death wish, or maybe Cole has given himself a fighting chance to survive. In the middle of Wyatt’s laughter, Cole spits in his face then uses an a hand to slap Wyatt across the cheek while using the other arm to keep himself propped up! The force of the impact forces Wyatt’s head to the side and…



When we’re taken back to the live feed, Cole is knocked out cold! There’s even a trickle of blood running down his forehead, but the odd thing is that Bray is in the same position he was before the chilling sound and video feed cut through the moment. His head is still turned away and Cole’s spit is still hanging from his beard.

So who attacked Cole?

Wyatt begins chuckling again as he turns his head to face the man who has now been rendered silent.

Hubris has been the downfall of many men and you will be no different. As my brother would say… you picked a beautiful hill to die on.

Bray begins to chuckle as he slowly rises too his feet.

Nakamura Confronts Cena



[Jerry Lawler]
"Oh man. This is gonna be good."

As the theme song picks up, Nakamura appears on the stage, but he isn't acting like his normal self. He carries a more serious demeanor as he makes his way down the ramp. In the ring, there is a translator to translate his words for the audience.

[Michael Cole]
"Something seems a bit off about Nakamura tonight."

[Jerry Lawler]
"I know. He looks irritated."

[Jim Ross]
"I'd be irritated too if my opponent for International Incident tried to take me out."

In the ring now, Nakamura is handed a microphone. He looks into the cheering audience for a moment.

[Jerry Lawler]
"What do you think he's gonna say?"

[Michael Cole]
"Quiet Jerry, he's about to speak."

As his theme song fades to silence, Nakamura looks as if he's ready to speak.



[Shinsuke Nakamura]

("Now normally... I come out here and I'm excited. I'm excited, because you're excited. I come out here and I put on a show for each and every one of you. Whether that show is me eccentrically dancing and walking around or if that show is me laying all I have out in this ring. I do all that for you. Tonight, however, just isn't one of those nights. Tonight, I'm going to do something for myself. You see last week a man did something to me that I have said time and time again that I'm just not a fan of. He disrespected me.")



[Shinsuke Nakamura]

("That man decided to take it upon himself to enter the ring during my match last week. That man decided to screw me out of that match. Then, that very same man attacks me and lays me out in the center of the ring. The man that disrespected me... the man that attacked me... his name is John Cena. John, I promised everyone a confrontation and damn it, I'm going to give it to them. I know you're back there, so I'm going to let you choose one of two options. Either you get your ass in this ring... or I'll go back there, find you, then drag your ass out here.")





Jim Ross
Folks, there used to be a time that this music would hit and everyone in the arena would stand on their feet, cheering as loud as their vocal chords would let them... Unfortunately, that's no longer the case.

Jerry Lawler
Cena's change of attitude might be a little disappointing to the audience, but it captured him his first World Championship in over four years.

Michael Cole
Exactly. It may have taken him a while to figure it out, but John Cena realised that nothing matters in this company more than that Championship, more than your own susccess.

John Cena walks out onto the stage with a microphone in hand, and the World Heavyweight Championship around his neck. He walks up to the top of the ramp and stares out to the audience, looking at all of the disappointed, angry faces that are booing for nothing but his presence at the moment.



Cena breaks out of his pause and turns his attention to the ring, staring down with Nakamura, Cena smiles and lifts the Championship from around his neck, raising it up into the air, possibly as a message to Nakamura and everyone else in the arena that the Champ is here now.

Jim Ross
I hope that Championship was worth the price it cost you, John.

Cena places the championship back around his neck and sprints down the ramp to the ring, jumping up before he reaches the apron, and sliding underneath the bottom rope, into the ring. Quick to his feet, Cena's music comes to a stop and he takes one look at Nakamura before raising the microphone to his lips.



John Cena
I'm not going to lie, I honestly don't have a clue what you expect from me.

The crowd boos Cena as he makes light of the situation.

John Cena
I was all set to leave, I had my bags packed, I even had Nikki waiting in the car, then I get a phone call from Stephanie McMahon telling me that I can't leave yet because you want to 'confront' me about my actions last week. I can see that you're an entertaining kind of guy, you like the spotlight, who doesn't? But I can't wrap my head around it, why are you making such a big show and dance about this? Do you want answers, is that what you want? You want to know why I did what I did last week?

Nakamura nods as he speaks.

John Cena
Alright well, I didn't understand a single word of that, but I'm just going to assume that you said yes, seeing as you did nod your head.

Cena smirks and laughs.

John Cena
You know, I really didn't think there was any need for me to explain myself. I mean, it's not like I've kept it secret that I don't exactly like the idea of competing against you at International Incident. And before you get any ideas in your head, it's not because I'm scared or intimidated by you, and it's not because I don't think I can defeat you. Surprisingly, it isn't about respect either. Don't get me wrong, I don't respect you, but I don't disrespect you either. You just haven't been here in this company long enough to earn my respect, but you haven't done anything that could make me disrespect you yet either. I did what I did last week for one reason, and one reason only, and that's the fact that I know, you would make an awful World Heavyweight Champion.

The crowd boo Cena's last comment, clearly disagreeing with him, he looks out to his left and reponds to them.

John Cena
You know what, you're right guys, awful was a poor choice of words.

John looks back to Nakamura.



John Cena
You would make the WORST World Heavyweight Champion in the history of this whole company.

The audience boos Cena even louder now.

John Cena
These people might like you, but all they are doing is giving you false hope, it's better that you find out now than at the end of the night at International Incident, you just don't have what it takes to be a champion. Not only do you lack the ruthless aggression that a champion needs to have, but you can't even speak a single word of English. No wait, sorry, I'm wrong, you can ask people where the restaurant is, but what good is that going to do you in a place like this? You are by far the laziest, most ungrateful superstar I've ever met. Despite Stephanie McMahon paying out of her own purse for your English lessons, you couldn't be bothered to show her any thanks by actually trying to learn the language, instead you chose to mess about and squander your opportunity. If you'd actually put some effort into it, you wouldn't need this guy to translate everything for you. So no, I don't think you deserve to be fighting for this championship, I don't even think you deserve to be on the International Incident card, and that Nakamura, is why I did what I did last week.

Showing a look of "Did he really just say that?" on his face, Nakamura lifts the microphone up again and begins speaking.

I say that because you're the only person inside or outside of the company that doesn't believe I have what it takes to be the World Heavyweight Champion. Your bosses obviously think so, seeing they chose me. These people sitting in the arena tonight and the people watching all over the globe obviously think I have what it takes.")

The audience begins cheering for Nakamura acknowledging them.

("Do you hear this, John? These people don't have to understand the words that are coming out of my mouth, because the majority of the time,... I let my actions in the ring speak for itself. Something that I don't think you're too familiar of these days, John. Over the past month, XWL has seen a change in you and it's not for the better. I don't know what that stooge, Stephanie McMahon, said to you... but it's obviously gotten into your head. So while you're out here, let me set the record straight.")

Nakamura gains a smirk on his face as he gets closer to John Cena.

("John, you may work in the largest wrestling promotion in the world, but you yourself have made a name for yourself. You have managed to turn the name "John Cena" into a global brand all by yourself. To me, that doesn't matter one bit. Just because you name is John Cena, that doesn't make you any better or more important than anyone else. You're not better than the audience, Nakamura points to the commentary table you are not better than the commentary team, ... hell... you're not better than the camera man standing in this ring.")

Nakamura is not face to face with John Cena.

("No matter what your beliefs are, you are not better than me.")

After saying what he wanted to say, the audience's cheer fill throughout the arena.



John Cena
For someone who has only been in this country for a couple of months, you think pretty highly of yourself don't you? I can pretty much guarantee you that I'm not the only one who feels this way about you. Stephanie did everything within her power to make sure that you wouldn't be the one standing opposite of me at International Incident, she doesn't trust you, she doesn't believe in you, and she sure as hell doesn't want you as her World Heavyweight Champion. These people in the audience tonight, they may think that they want you to be their champion, but that's only because their opinion is clouded by the fact that I'm the one holding the gold. God knows why, but they seem to hold a grudge against me for what I did to Shawn Michaels at Digital Decision, and they clearly don't like my change in attitude, they'd cheer anyone if they were up against me. It has nothing to do with you.

Cena backs away from Nakamura, creating space between them once again.

John Cena
Unfortunately for them, that's something they're going to have to get used to. I didn't leave Shawn to get mauled by the shield for a laugh, I did it to prove a point. I'm not going to allow myself to be influenced by the XWL Universe any more because all they ever did was hold me back. I spent months fighting their battles  for them, I went toe to toe with Brock Lesnar, I locked horns with Randy Orton, I had a war of words with Paul Heyman, and I suffered at the hands of Bray Wyatt... But when it came time for me to get what I'd earned, what I deserved, they chose to turn their backs on me, they chose to support Shawn Michaels instead, so I chose to repay the favour, and it got me this gold around my neck. Now all I care about is defending this championship, keeping it where it belongs, where it can thrive, and I will do anything and everything to make sure that it doesn't fall into the hands of someone as undeserving as you. So I don't really care if you or the audience think I've changed for the worse, because I already know that I've changed for the better, these people just can't handle that.



John Cena
Yeah, I've made a name for myself in this company and others like it, but I've never once claimed to be better than anyone, I'm not Austin Aries, I'm not CM Punk, and I'm not Chris Jericho, that's not my thing... But, since you bring it up, in this case, I can hold my hands up and say that I firmly believe I am a far better champion than you will ever be. It's just not practical for someone in your situation to be representing an English Global Wrestling company as its World Heavyweight Champion. You don't have the right image, you don't have the right mindset, and perhaps most importantly, you don't speak the right language. You can refuse to accept that as much as you want, but it's never going to go away, and if by some miracle you do manage to walk out of International Incident with this championship around your waist, then you'll be condemning this business and all of its employees to hell, because you won't be able to keep up appearances, and the company will suffer for it.

Nakamura shakes his head for a moment, then begins to speak.

("If I were some sort of idiot, I would take your words to heart. I would take your advice and just walk away. Here's the thing, John. I'm not an idiot. I see right through the crap that is spewing out of your mouth. You say that I'll condemn the business... well John, that's where you're wrong. You see, during my time here, XWL has actually become popular in Japan. If you didn't notice, International Incident is taking place in Japan. XWL is expanding across the globe. Does that sound like condemning or does that sound like improving?")

The audience cheers once more.

[Shinsuke Nakamura]

Nakamura gets close to Cena again.

("The biggest difference between you and I,... is that at International Incident, I'm walking out as the World Heavywe...")

Before Nakamura's translator can finish, and without warning, Cena lifts the World Heavyweight Championship from around his neck and charges forward, smacking the gold against the side of his head. The man slumps down to the canvas, possibly out cold from the impact the gold made against his skull. Nakamura's in disbelief as he looks down to his translator, then back to Cena, who tosses his baseball cap down at the man's face. With a serious look on his face, John rests the championship over his shoulder and turns back to Nakamura.



John Cena
Do you see now? Do you understand why you don't deserve this championship? What you just said may have meant a lot to you, but it meant nothing to anyone else because they didn't understand a single word of it. I hope you realise that this little Cinderella story of yours isn't going to end the way you want it to. Your dream of becoming champion at International Incident, in your home town, inside the Tokyo Dome, it's nothing but an unrealistic dream. You are never, ever going to be the World Heavyweight Champion in this company, and you need to get that into your head... In fact, I can help you with that.

Again with little warning, Cena lifts the Championship off his shoulder and dashes forward, he looks to strike with the gold, but Nakamura quickly ducks underneath.....

As Cena turns around, he looks to attempt to hit Nakamura with the belt again. Just like before, the attempt is countered. This time, we see Nakamura drop down as he dropkicks one of Cena's legs out from under him. Cena is forced to one knee as he drops his World Heavyweight Championship to the side.

Seeing his opportunity, Nakamura quickly takes a few steps back. Nakamura rushes toward Cena, before driving his knee as hard as he can into the side of Cena's skull.

I think Cena might be out.

After delivering the Boma Ye, Nakamura is up to his feet. He now stands over Cena. For a moment, he glances at the World Heavyweight Championship that sits on the ring mat.

He picks the belt up off the ground, before crouching next to John Cena. Nakamura holds the belt next to Cena's head as we can hear him say:

"International Incident."

Oh, come on! This is disrespectful.

Jim Ross
If anyone is disrespectful, it's John Cena.

Jerry Lawler
Yeah! He even laid out Nakamura's translator.

Nakamura stands back up still holding the World Heavyweight Championship. He takes a good look at it, then raises it above his head. The audience goes nuts.

Jim Ross
Could this be the scene at the conclusion of International Incident?.. or will John Cena hold true to his world and make sure that Nakamura walks away a loser?

Jerry Lawler
I know one thing, I'm excited for this match!

Jim Ross
I don't think there's a person who isn't excited! This one will be a slobber-knocker for sure.

Nakamura lowers the belt. He lays the belt across Cena's chest. Cena is shown still on the mat, finally beginning to regain consciousness. As the copyright details appear at the bottom left hand corner of the screen, we see Nakamura posing and pointing to the fans in the audience. Breakdown begins to fade out with the final scene showing Nakamura playing to the crowd.
