Since we have a fair amount of new and active members I thought it would be good to explain the concept and information surrounding our annual pay-per-view.
Every single match that takes place at Digital Decision must be announced in advance, with a few options for the league to submit their votes on. They can be match types, stipulations for the loser/winner, you can have an open challenge and get a few people to accept and so the league votes on who gets to accept it. What the options actually are, and how they pertain to the match are entirely up to you the members. However there is no exception, every match has to have something the members can vote on. Or else it won't take place, don't try to get around it because a few tried that for Dead Mans Hand with the wheel and yeah it's not going to slide. It's a fun thing for us all to be involved in, so don't be like that.
Now ideally, since there's four weeks from this card to the PPV, that means four weeks of building up whatever matches take place. You should aim for having your matches and options announced by the end of the third week. You want to give us admins time to shake people down for as many votes as we can get, so we need at least that last week to get all the participation possible. (Yeah we're like mobsters with votes, a good many actually PM us or IM us their votes themselves, but not everyone makes it that easy)
You can do the match announcement/voting options however you please, can be in a promo where the people involved in the match pick and the "GM" picks a third, could be an XWL.com exclusive of it somehow being announced, could be anything you can think of really. Now it doesn't have to be three, it could be four, that's not really a strictly it has to be three thing. But Digital Decision is our one time a year that the entire show really pulls the community together to create something pretty awesome (sometimes if people vote tables when the other two options are WAY BETTER...some people could be bitter to this day....COME ON PEOPLE WHY WAS TED/ABYSS VS KANE/TAKER A TABLES TAG! ) But it's fun because you don't know what the majority will pick, and that makes it different from just picking your own thing all the time, you get people that read your promos, follow you feud to contribute a little something to it and that's really nice.
If anyone has any questions about Digital Decision we're always here to help, but really it's pretty cut and dry, announce your match, have some type of voting options attached, and do it within a time period that actually allows it to get more than five votes.
Thank you for reading this, I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with, and as a wise man once said....VOTE OR DIE!
Don't worry, that's not a threat....unless you don't vote....
