XWL Breakdown: 5/2/2014 - 5/9/2014

vs.

Last week The Ryback sent a message to Stone Cold by putting him through a barricade, an announce table, and Meathook Clotheslining him onto steel steps during the Main Event. The Rattlesnake was able to come out with the hard fought victory, but after the match The West Side Army did to him what they did to Randy Orton earlier that night, took him out with their number games. Now this week The Ryback is yet again up against a man who has been giving his fellow West Side Army brother trouble. Will The Ryback be able to do for Amazing Red what he did for Dean to Stone Cold?



Sabin makes his entrance first, looking very determined and ready to take on The Human Wrecking Ball





The Ryback enters next, Amazing Red right behind him!! It looks like The West Side Army is still not afraid to use their numbers to their advantage tonight!


WAKE UP!!!!!

DING DING DING

The two lock up, The Ryback is able to use his power to drive Sabin into the corner! The Ryback drives his shoulder into Sabin, once, twice, thr- no! Sabin is able to use his speed to his advantage, dodging out of the way. The match is very back and forth from there on out, The Ryback using his strength, while Sabin uses his technical skill, speed, and of course experience to his advantage.

After a hard fought match filled with Sabin zipping up and down the ring and The Ryback throwing his opponent around like it is nothing…. Sabin is on the apron, he springboards.. but The Ryback catches him and hits a powerbomb!! A Double Powerbomb!! A triple powerbomb!! The Ryback shouts "FINISH.. IT!!" and lifts Sabin onto his shoulders before marching around the ring. But Sabin is able to strike the Big Guy with an elbow, and another, and yet another!! The Ryback looses his grip of Sabin, who is now on The Ryback's back, trying to get to the canvas. The Big Guy shouts "STUPID!!" before hitting the Backpack Stunner!!! The Ryback quickly picks Sabin up and hits his version of The Jackhammer!!… He goes for the pin…1…..2…

Kick Out!! The Ryback furiously pins once more but Sabin is able to kick out once again!! The Ryback lifts Sabin to his feet and shouts right into his face "Stupid!!!" only to be hit with a quick as a flash enziguri!! Sabin pins..1….2.. Kick out!! Sabin runs the ropes as The Ryback gets to his feet. Chris charges at The Big Guy only to be caught by a lou thez!! The Ryback begins to slam Sabin against the mat while shouting "STUPID." He then once again shouts "FINISH ITTTT" before lifting Sabin high up on his shoulders, marching around the ring, and hitting The Shell Shocked!!

The Ryback looks down at Sabin, then at Red, before exiting the ring. He reaches under the apron and grabs a chair, sliding back into the ring. The Big Guy nods at Amazing Red before slamming Sabin with the chair as hard as he can!!

Didn't you hear a word that Don West said to you earlier tonight? What does this prove? Anyone can hit a man with a chair. If you're trying to prove to me that you have what it takes to be considered for an Intercontinental Championship Match you're going to have to do better than that!

Sabin is using the ropes to slowly get back to his feet.

Ryan if you want me to so much as mention your name when discussing possible opponents for Sheamus then you better start winning some matches! Stone Cold beat you, heck even Enzo Amore and Big Cass were able to pin you. And now you've just lost to Chris Sabin. Sure, you've proven that you as well as the West Side Army are the essence of dominance by taking out Stone Cold, Orton, and now Sabin like this. But that doesn't prove that you're championship material.

So tonight's match between Chris Sabin and The Ryback.. is officially… restarted! Ref, ring the bell!!

The ref rings the bell and Sabin immediately takes advantage, taking The Ryback down with an elbow from behind. The two throw everything that they have at one another, but in the end Chris Sabin is able to hit the Cradle Shock!!!! He goes for the pin…..1…..2.  


























Amazing Red pulls Sabin off!! The ref ejects Red, who has to take the walk of shame up the ramp as The Ryback lays in the middle of the ring, still down!!

The match continues for a little bit, the advantage switching back and forth between the two exhausted competitors. All of a sudden The Ryback looks around, realizing for the first time that Red isn't there..

The Ryback throws Sabin to the outside and begins to use the walls and stairs to try and injure Sabin for Red. The Ryback hits a powerbomb, and another, clearly not realizing the count is on 8 he goes for another powerbomb.

The Ryback slams Sabin onto the steps before quickly entering and reentering the ring in the knick of time!!! He throws Sabin into the ring and goes into the corner…..FEED ME MORE, FEED ME MORE, FEED ME MORE… Meathook!! He hit it!! The Ryback goes for the Shell Shocked….1…2….3..!!!  RYBACK RULESSS!!

February 25th, 2013. That's when I first signed my contract here in the XWL. One year and two months later here I stand, still here, still fighting… still hungry.

The Ryback
I proved that I was a force to be reckoned with from day one. I defeated anyone who dared oppose me, I ended career after career after career, and I'm not talking about a "career ending injury" that ends up turning into the victim just taking a few months off. No. Carlito, Brian Kendrick, Primo, Epico, Are they here today? Are they going to come out from the back, making a surprise return at my expense?… No. Because they're.. DONE!

The Ryback
Then I went on to defeat Randy Orton and Carlito in a Pay Per View Triple Threat Match. That.. is when my career changed. That's when Don West noticed me. That's when the brains behind the West Side Army recruited me as his client. Randy Orton was simply a stepping stone to prove my greatness to Don West. And I proved it. I defeated Orton then, and I can defeat Orton now. That's why I see no reason to face The Viper at Dead Man's Hand. That.. and the Intercontinental Championship. You see for some reason the title contenders here in the XWL love pulling double duty. They find it necessary to try and settle their rivalries on the same night that they are fighting for a title. That, just seems STUPID!!



The Ryback
I might not like Paul Heyman, but I do admit that I learned a thing or two from him during my short time as his client. He told Edge to forget about Christian, forget about Matt Hardy, and to focus on the Money in the Bank Match. No distractions. That's what I'm doing. I'm focusing on The Intercontinental Championship. Because unlike anyone else who thinks that they're worthy of a shot, I'm hungry for it. I need it. I need to redeem myself. Defeating Randy Orton and securing my spot on the West Side Army was the moment that my, stock if you would, began to rise. But when Shawn Michaels defeated me not once, but twice.. Well everything went downhill from there..

The Ryback
I began to think that I wasn't worthy of a title, or the XWL, or even the West Side Army. I lost to Shawn Michales, and that's fine, he's a great competitor, that's not what bothers me. What bothers me is that I came back for more, thinking that I had better prepared myself.. and I lost again… I had my jaw fractured!! Ever since that day the ceiling has become a far too familiar site. Week after week I would find myself laying on this mat sprawled out from a triple powerbomb or a spear or a Rock Bottom.. I began to give up on myself. I would look to my left and Amazing Red would be getting beat on by Brock Lesnar, I would look to my right and see Corey Graves getting his arm broken by Alberto Del Rio.. I began to give up on a lot of things then..

But then Dean Ambrose joined the West Side Army, and won the World Title. He brought a new light to our rag tag group of misfits. He jumpstarted myself and Amazing Red. He put us back in the spotlight and boy did we shine. Red got West's job back, he shined in the Main Event, and he took a man twice his size to his limit. And I defeated Goldberg on the grandest stage of them all.

As soon as the ref counted three, and I was declared the victor over Goldberg, my first thought was of the Intercontinental Title. Finally I would be able to finish what I starters all those months ago. By defeating Goldberg I proved to myself that I was once again ready. Ready to prove that RYBACK RULES!!!

The Ryback
But then Randy Orton decided to, out of nowhere, jump me in the middle of this ring… That didn't sit well with me, but I wasn't about to let him get in the way of my real goal. So myself, Amazing Red, and Dean Ambrose we all got to talking, and we came to the conclusion that we were all being bothered by pests, and well, those pests needed to be squashed.

The Ryback
Think about it. Dean Ambrose like myself and Red, is the future of this company, he doesn't need to be wasting his time with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Isn't it obvious what this is? Steve Austin is getting weaker, older.. He's not the same Rattlesnake that he was in the past. Now don't get me wrong he's still one of the best in this business, even as old as he is, but he's getting to that age where his next title reign, will most likely be his last. And I'll be damned if I sit around and watch Dean Ambrose be the one for Stone Cold to defeat in order to get that last hurrah.

And Amazing Red? For the past six months he's been going up against The Cage Fighting Conqueror, the former UFC Champion.. Brock Lesnar… Do you think for a second that he wants to follow that up with… Chris Sabin? Please. Amazing Red took Brock to his limit, someone like Sabin is just not on his level.

The Ryback
So we took it upon ourselves to, well, exterminate our pests. First Randy Orton, then Stone Cold, and now.. Sabin.

The Ryback
Now don't get me wrong. This won't become a habit. We respect Don West far too much to go against his wishes any further. But this. Well, this needed to be done and I'm sure that Don will understand. We're the future of this company, Amazing Red, Dean Ambrose, and myself. We deserve respect. We demand respect. We have earned respect. And if we don't get what we earned, well, then we will take it. Simple as that.

The Ryback
We're not the bad guys. We're not the ones you should be booing. Our intentions are pure. We're simply sick and tired of being disrespected. And if defeating Goldberg at Final Stand, taking Brock to his limit, or defeating Ted DiBiase isn't enough to get that respect. Well then maybe what happened to Stone Cold, Orton, and Sabin will be the wake up call that the people in the back need. The West Side Army is strong.

For a year now I've been here, each and every week, each and every month, either out in this ring or in the back, regardless of what I was doing I've been on your TV screen every week this past year. I plan on doing the same for the year to come, only this year, I want to be on your TV screen with the Intercontinental Championship around my waist.

The Ryback
I've jumped through all the hoops, I've proven myself over Goldberg, and The West Side Army has proved ourselves as a unit as well. There is no reason why anyone's name other than The Ryback should be coming out of Stephanie's mouth when she announces Sheamus's opponent for Dead Man's Hand.

Sheamus has Brouge Kicked me and put me through a table twice, while I was injured. But I'm stronger now, I'm h-





The Ryback sighs heavily, clearly annoyed that Orton interrupted him.



Orton charges down the ramp, where The Ryback slides out of the ring and meets him!! The crowd goes wild as the two exchanges punches, throwing one another against the walls as they fight their way to the stage. The Ryback picks Orton up and slams him up against the mini tron!! The two bring the fight back to the stage where they disappear into the back!!

The tron lights up, showing Orton and Lesnar still fighting in the backstage area. Orton throws The Ryback over a table full of food!! The Ryback slowly gets to his feet, pocketing some of the food in his attire for later. They bring the fight to the garage!! The Ryback tosses Orton through the glass window leading to where all the cars are parked!!!

Orton begins to slam the floor, hearing voices, before getting to his feet and RKOing Ryback right onto the shattered glass!! Both men stay down for a good while before medics come to the scene. Both men are helped to their feet but Orton lunges at The Ryback, causing the medics to scatter!! He tosses The Big Guy right through a car window!! The Ryback slowly begins to stumble around before stopping one of the cars that is pulling out and busting into the back seat, shouting DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE to a bewildered XWL referee. The car peels off leaving Orton in the dust. The Viper runs to his bus and demands that his driver follows the car that The Ryback got into. The last thing we see is Orton's bus driving out of the lot, leaving the garage a glass shattered mess as we go to commercial.

As Breakdown continues the cameras are rolling with a shot of the crowd as they show a variety of shots of the fans in attendance showing off their signs until they're disrupted by an all to familiar voice



Paul Heyman: Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman...

The camera cuts to the stage as Paul Heyman is standing at the top of the ramp proudly as the crowd passionately boo arguably the greatest manager of all time

Paul Heyman: And I am not here before you as the Voice of the Voice of the Voiceless, the best wrestler in the world CM Punk, nor am I here right now as the soon to be once again strategist to the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar, no I am here tonight as the advocate to the Swiss Superman, the Pound for Pound strongest man in XWL today, the King of Swing, but most importantly the latest Paul Heyman guy, Cesaro!

With the smug look across Heyman's face the crowd's boos continue as he basks in the glory of his new client waiting for the crowd to savour the moment before he soon starts to speak again



Paul Heyman: I'm sure many of you are asking why? Why did Mr Cesaro win the proverbial golden ticket to become the latest Paul Heyman guy? Why have I decided Cesaro belongs in the Paul Heyman family? And if you stopped to think about it then you'd realize Cesaro's credentials speak for themselves and well quite frankly the decision was an easy one to make. Who wouldn't want to have a client who has got this far and yet has so much untapped potential? Who wouldn't want a client who has gone toe to toe with World champion after World champion in XWL, names like The Rated R Superstar, Edge! Captain Charisma, Christian! Ted DiBiase! The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels! John Cena! The King of Kings, Triple H! And the reigning, defending XWL World Heavyweight champion, Dean Ambrose, and has defeated every single one of them? The answer to that question is Cesaro... And you ask me why did I handpick Cesaro to become a Paul Heyman guy when the reality is Cesaro picked Cesaro to be a Paul Heyman Guy.



Paul Heyman: Now as you saw last week here on Breakdown Cesaro defeated in that very ring a former World Heavyweight champion, one half of the Final Stand VI mainevent Ted DiBiase one, two, three, but then he broke the earth shattering news that shook XWL to it's very core, and that being he is now a Paul Heyman guy. And what that means is MY CLIENT Cesaro defeated Ted DiBiase.

This receives a mixed reaction from the crowd half still hating on Heyman the other happy to be reminded that Ted DiBiase was defeated last week

With Heyman's persistent hammering on over that fact that his client Cesaro did indeed defeat Ted DiBiase on Breakdown last week the split reaction turns more and more into boo's as the insufferable smugness beams from Paul Heyman



Paul Heyman: And by that I mean MY CLIENT the King of Swing Cesaro defeated a former World Heavyweight champion in that very ring which means ladies and gentlemen of the XWL Universe that MY CLIENT Cesaro can beat anybody. And just like he defeated former World Heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase last week, this week MY CLIENT the King of Swing Cesaro will defeat the man who come next week hopes to call himself the brand new Intercontinental champion, Sheamus. But unfortunately for Sheamus tonight he is up against the man who has his sights set much higher than that, he is up against a man who is a three time, that's right ladies and gentlemen three times has Cesaro held the United States championship so just ask yourselves IF he can do that by himself, then what will he be able to achieve with Paul Heyman by his side? And the answer is whatever he wants to achieve. And on that note once Cesaro defeats Sheamus right here tonight then next week at Dead Man's Hand, much like we had last week will deliver more earth shattering news when it comes to the King of Swing, Cesaro. And believe me this news is something you will not want to miss out on.

Paul Heyman stands tall at the top of the ramp letting the crowd sink in the announcement that an announcement will be made next week then after a brief moment he starts to speak again

Paul Heyman: So without further a due, I give to you the Swiss Superman, the pound for pound strongest man in XWL today and the KING! of Swing! Cesaro!

When Heyman finishes speaking he motions his arm towards the entrance way as his clients music starts to play



After a few seconds Cesaro makes his way out onto the stage and shakes the hand of his manager as XWL heads to a commercial break

Breakdown returns from a commercial break with a view of the announce table, populated as usual by Good Ol' JR, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Michael Cole.  The fans are electric and so excited to witness whatever it is that is about to happen next in the crazy asylum known as XWL.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Breakdown on what has been yet another eventful evening and a night to remember!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
For once I agree with you Michael... I mean... it's true what they say... anything can happen in XWL!  And we have the best seats to witness it all right here!  Not to brag or anything...

[Jim Ross]
Speaking of the words "anything can happen" who would've thought that Mr. McMahon would be the mastermind behind the Wyatt Family's declaration of war on D-Generation X?  

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Well... I suppose the signs were there.  After Mr. McMahon stripped Shawn of the Intercontinental Championship for no reason back at Final Stand, you just knew that this wasn't over.  And well, this one has already turned ugly!

[Jim Ross]
Backstage attacks, public humiliation and the hit-and-run mentality of the Wyatts have caused pure frustration in the minds of Shawn Michaels and The Game.  DX certainly have their work cut out if they're to survive this war which culminates in a clash between the two groups this Sunday at Dead Man's Hand, which in my honest opinion is one of the most highly anticipated matches in recent memory.  The war will either end or reach new heights this coming Sunday and if DX do somehow, someway defy the numbers disadvantage and whatever stipulation Lady Luck throws their way, you just can't imagine Mr. McMahon backing down and letting them get on with life...

If you declare war on Mr. McMahon, you lose... period!  Just ask ECW...WCW!  Go and ask Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner!  Just ask the American Government!  You go against Vince and you lose... end of story!

I'd wager DX to tarnish Mr. McMahon's record on that one... but back to tonight and we get a sneak peek at this Sunday right here tonight!  Mr. McMahon himself has promised that DX will have a tag team match against members of the Wyatt Family right here, live on Breakdown!

Which two members is anyone's guess, but one would have to believe that DX are relishing this opportunity here tonight to get one-up on their opponents heading into this weekend's PPV and to gain some retribution for the past couple of weeks.

The camera then focuses on the middle of the ring, where ring announcer Lilian Garcia is standing by.

The crowd almost blows the roof off the building with an insane ovation as both members of DX appear on the stage.

This one is sure to be a slobberknocker folks!  Hang onto your hats!

The crowd are going nuts as DX make their entrance under a shower of adoration, launching several glowsticks into the baying masses as they go.

Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 480 lbs... the team of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and "The Game" Triple H.... D-GENERATION X!

As their names are announced, the cheers somehow get louder than before.  DX are now in the ring, loving the attention from the fans, and clearly all fired up, knowing that tonight is the night they finally get their hands on at least a portion of the Wyatt Family if not all three members.  This is the starter.  The main course comes this Sunday at Dead Man's Hand.  After a couple of moments of pandering to the fans, DX meet in the middle of the ring and perform their usual theatrics: the signature crotch chops accompanied by a spectacular display of pyro.



As they each now mount a turnbuckle and lock their arms in the "X" sign, they're suddenly interrupted by the all too familiar sound....



The arena is plunged into darkness and there is an eerie silence for several moments as the arena and the whole world await the arrival of the Wyatt Family.  Finally, after what seems like an eternity there is a sole flame against the backdrop of darkness as the patriarch of the Wyatt Family himself lights a lantern...

We're here...

Wyatt blows out the flame, once again condemning the arena and the entire broadcast to darkness as their haunting theme begins to play.



This time, the period of darkness is far longer.  A murmur of confusion dominates the air as both members of DX are left wondering which of the three monsters they must face here tonight as the music continues to play... and play... and play...

What's going on?

I have no earthly idea King... there's supposed to be a match happening right now.

[Michael Cole]
No idea?  Bray Wyatt is a master of mind-games!  So is Mr. McMahon!  The two of them working together can deliver a true masterclass!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
By just making DX stand there in the dark for hours on end?  Yeah right...

Suddenly, the lights return to the arena after what has seemed like an age and FIVE enormous men are lined up on the stage, all wearing sheep masks.



It's a horrifying sight to witness all five men standing there looking completely alike, right down to their attire, their posture... everything.  They stare holes right through DX and you just know this isn't going to end well.  The crowd are in shock and awe at this bewildering sight.

BAH GAWD!  THERE'S FIVE OF THEM!  THERE'S FIVE OF THEM!

DX appear unfazed as the five gigantic men make their way down the entrance way very slowly, enhancing their already intimidating presence.  One thing's for sure, Shawn Michaels and Triple H aren't running.



It's almost as if the impending doom of DX is something the five "sheep men" are looking forward to so much, that they're prolonging the build-up as if to savor the fact that the two men they are about to destroy are currently still standing and in pristine condition, but that they have the honor of diminishing the light of two very bright careers.

I... don't know what to say.  I've never seen anything like this.

The five monsters circle the ring.  Each of them tilts their head to the side as they survey their cornered prey.  Shawn and Hunter stand back to back, with their arms raised and fists clenched, ready for the inevitable onslaught.

[Michael Cole]
This is genius!  My hat's off to Mr. McMahon and the Wyatts for this!  This is genius!  What better to way to weaken DX, or even finish them off early, than by throwing a curveball like this!  Good luck DX!  You'll need it!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Well... I can't see any good outcome from this.  But that's definitely not the usual Wyatt Family under those masks.

[Jim Ross]
Lord only knows where these monstrous recruits have come from and what they're capable of, but I know Shawn Michaels and I know Triple H.  They won't back down without a fight.  If tonight is the night they meet their end, they'll go down with all guns blazing.  You can count on that.

The "sheep men" each mount the apron, one on each side, but two on the side of the ramp.... and IT'S ON!  The Game charges and knocks one of them off the apron to the floor with a big right hand as his best friend does the same to another.  The remaining three swarm the Degenerates and begin their assault with clubbing blows, bringing them to their knees as the other two swoop back in to add their own attacks to the mix.

Come on now!  Is this even a match?  Has the bell even rung!  That's a disqualification right there!  Where's the referee!  Where's the order in this match-up!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
This isn't a match JR... this is a mugging.

Two of the beats have now armed themselves with steel chairs.  They slide into the ring and begin battering the two legends continuously as gunshot-like sounds echo around the arena with each sickening hit.  Showing their heart and determination, a few times HHH or HBK are able to rise to their knees, almost to their feet, in a groggy state with their eyes glazed over, only to be struck right back down with a devastating chairshot to the face.

Honestly JR... I don't know what sane man would step into that ring right now...

One of the monsters picks up The King Of Kings who looks like nothing more than a peasant at the moment, busted open as these "sheep men" have reopened the wounds inflicted on him weeks past by the Wyatts.  They throw him over the top rope and he hits the mats in a bloodied heap as the army of sheep focus their attention on the destruction of The Heartbreak Kid.  They each take turns to pummel and kick him into the ground, at one point, delivering a devastating chokeslam to him, just for fun of course.  Many in the audience are stunned into silence, while those who still have control of their voices and senses sound their displeasure and boo continuously.

This is difficult to watch...

One of them turns their attention to the retrieval of The Game.  It's now his turn to face the fires.  As the brute leaves the ring, suddenly he is struck down!  The crowd goes into a frenzy as a seemingly broken and beaten Game fights back with his trusty sledgehammer, downing one of the Wyatt minions!  It's do or die!

BAH GAWD!  THE GAME!  THE GAME IS ALIVE!

He never goes far without that sledgehammer!

The crowd are louder than they have been in recent memory as they urge on the DX revival as The Game rises to his feet all fired up with the rage in his eyes piercing the crimson mask covering his face.  He climbs into the ring with a newfound energy to rescue his friend despite the still seemingly overwhelming odds.  He swings the hammer high above his head and with the support of the fans behind him, begins one final push.  One final attack to survive!

Just listen to this reaction!  Listen to this crowd!

Sledgehammer to the face!  One of the monsters goes down!  But the three remaining sheep flock to smother the Game once again, rendering him and his hammer useless.  The comeback is over... but wait!  KIP UP!  Shawn Michaels somehow someway, manages to kip up and feeds off the energy of the fans!  Through his own crimson-mask you can see the pain, you can see the emotion as he lines up and takes aim... As one of the "sheep men" turns to seek the source of the comotion... SWEET CHIN MUSIC!  SWEET CHIN MUSIC!  We are down to two on two!

[Jim Ross]
SWEET CHIN MUSIC!  SWEET CHIN MUSIC!  CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!  CAN YOU BELIEVE THE HEART... CAN YOU BELIEVE THE FIGHT... THESE TWO MEN ARE SHOWING US RIGHT NOW!  DX LIVES!

Two of the Wyatt followers remain and they are picking away at the bones of The Cerebral Assassin.  HBK dives into the mix landing hard shots to the back of the head of one of them.  The other, seemingly in a state of tunnel vision seems completely focused on inflicting as much damage to Triple H as possibly, seems completely oblivious that his comrade is now in a chokehold, being choked out just centimeters away from him.  You can almost sense every ounce of Shawn's remaining strength being applied into the chokehold as finally after what seems like forever, the brute slumps into an unconscious heap.

Can you believe this?!?  There's just one left!  What a comeback!

The sole remaining minion snaps out of his oblivious state, happy with his handiwork after working over Triple H and turns around right into another Sweet Chin Music that almost takes his head off!  Shawn somehow has the energy to execute another superkick but now slumps to the mat in a fatigued, bloodied mess.  The brute staggers around a bit, as the Sweet Chin Music didn't take him down completely, but he turns into a kick to the gut and his arms are hooked.... PEDIGREE!  With one final burst of life, The Game delivers a Pedigree and puts the final Wyatt follower to rest before he too slumps to the canvas in a bloodied mess next to his partner.

BAH GAWD!  BAH GAWD!  THEY DID IT!  CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!?  THEY DID IT!  DX DEFIED THE ODDS!  DX LIVES ANOTHER DAY!

Shawn is lying face up, while Triple H is lying face down.  Both are broken, bloodied messes, unable to move an inch.  Around them lies pure chaos as the blood is spattered all around and among the bodies of the Wyatt followers littering the ring and the surrounding area.  As their music begins to play, signalling the end of this brutal brawl, there's one final movement in the ring as The Game drapes his arm over his buddy expending his last ounce of energy in a moment of solidarity and unity.  DX lives... at least until this Sunday.



The screen then slowly fades away to another commercial break, bringing to an end this dramatic segment of Breakdown...

Breakdown returns from a commercial break and we are thrust right into the thick of the action…

Cole is seen stomping away at Shelley’s body in the center of the ring and a brief replay shows the fans who don’t have the XWL app how a missed suicide dive by Shelley put him in this predicament.

Cole pulls his opponent to his feet then chops him across the chest sharply causing Shelley to stagger backwards into the ropes. Cole takes Shelley by the arm and shoots him across the ring. When Shelley bounces off the ropes and comes running back Cole sticks out his knee, driving it straight into Shelley’s gut. Shelley flips over and lands seated in the mat while Cole bounces off the ropes and uses the momentum to again drive a knee into Shelley, this one nailing the Detroit superstar right in the face. Thinking he may have knocked Shelley out cold, Cole goes for the pin:

Shelley kicks out just before the count of three! Shelley pulls himself up in the corner but Cole doesn’t give him any space to breathe, charging at his opponent… but he gets caught and Shelley quickly drives Cole face first into the middle turnbuckle with an STO! Shelley rolls away towards the middle of the ring, where he rises to his feet while never taking his eyes off his opponent. Cole is able to shake the cobwebs out as he pulls himself up. He stumbles backwards a couple of steps, turns around and ducks under a superkick!

Cole nearly got his head taken off, though he recovers quickly because when Shelley turns around Cole nails him with a vicious superkick right to the jaw! The kick knocks Shelley out cold on his feet, and Cole quickly takes advantage by setting Shelley up for a pumphandle slam then turning it into a neckbreaker by dropping the back of Shelley’s neck onto his knee. Cole quickly goes for another cover:

Another kick out! Cole signals for the end then begins pulling Shelley onto his feet who quickly hits a jawbreaker catching Cole off-guard then he pulls him down to the mat in a small package:

Cole kicks out! Both men get to their feet at the same time, but it’s Shelley who strikes first with a side kick to Cole’s stomach that doubles him over. Shelley sets Cole up for a suplex, but it gets blocked when Cole wraps his leg around Shelley’s. Cole tries to turn the tables by hoisting his opponent into the air but eats a knee to the top of the skull for his troubles and Shelley land feet –first behind Cole. Shelley grabs Cole in a rear-waist lock and pushes him into the ropes looking for the roll-up, but Cole hangs on to the top rope sending Shelley rolling backwards. Cole charges at Shelley aiming for the head with a clothesline, but Shelley quickly takes him down by the arm and fights to lock in the Border City Stretch!

Wisely, Cole gets to the ropes as quickly as possible and The Ref forces Shelley to relinquish his grip. Shelley calls for the Sliced Bread and grabs Cole once he stands up, then makes a beeline for the corner but Cole pushes him forward causing Shelley to hit the pads chest first! Cole is now looking to hit the Florida Key, but Shelley is fighting to keep is arms from getting crossed up and eventually he’s able to catch Cole on the side of the head with a sharp elbow. Again, Shelley grabs Cole, steps off the turnbuckles and drives him to the mat with Sliced Bread!

XWL Breakdown returns from a commercial break to Stephanie McMahon's office where she stands with a remote control in her hand, watching her own footage on the television screen.



She seems in an almost tranquil state, but that soon changes as her office door swings open with a loud slam.

Stephanie turns around, almost startled to see an irate Cody Rhodes standing before her.

Cody Rhodes
We need to talk. After that match I just had with Randy Orton, I think I deserve...

Cody stops mid-sentence as he notices the image on the television screen, paused, showing Stephanie McMahon in the middle of an interview. Cody cracks a smile as the embarrassed Stephanie quickly turns the television off and puts the controller down.



Cody Rhodes
Wait, what are you doing? Come on, Steph... Surely you can't be embarrassed by this? So you're watching yourself on TV, there's nothing wrong with that, people do it, hey, I do it. We're both beautiful, talented, successful people, what's wrong with wanting to share the enjoyment and the excitement that these people experience when we show up on their television screens? Their heads must be exploding just trying to register the sex appeal that we're radiating right now, and if you think about it.. Imagine how great it would be for the ratings if you and I were together every single week, they'd go through the roof! Now that Stephanie, that would be good for business.

Stephanie rolls her eyes, clearly not amused by Cody's suggestion.

Stephanie McMahon
Was there something you wanted, Cody?

Cody Rhodes
Actually, now that you mention it, there was one thing. I'm sure you saw my match just now with Randy Orton.. Of course you did, what am I thinking? Who didn't see that? I was phenomenal! And that's what I wanted to talk to you about, Steph. See, I know that XWL's next pay-per-view is this Friday, Dead Man's Hand, and I want to be a part of it. I don't care what you have me do, I'll face anyone from Dolph Ziggler to Hornswaggle, I'll even fight Dibiase again, I don't care, I just want my name on that card.

Stephanie McMahon
Alright Cody, you want to be a part of Dead Man's Hand? I'll see what I can do.

Stephanie smiles thinking she's solved her problems, but Cody isn't budging.

Cody Rhodes
No, no, no... You're clearly not understanding me Stephanie. I don't want to be a part of Dead Man's Hand, I demand to be a part of Dead Man's Hand.

Stephanie's mood sours at the word 'demand'.

Cody Rhodes
I'm a former World Heavyweight Champion, I'm one of, if not the biggest face that this company has...

Stephanie is close to lashing out on the self obsessed young superstar when, picking the worse time possible, Kenny King bursts into the office.

Kenny King
Stephanie! Did you hear what I said earlier!? I-- 

Cody Rhodes
Excuse me, do you mind? Can you not see that I'm talking here?

Kenny turns around, having not realized that he passed Cody in his rush into the room. He lets out a subtle laugh, approaching Rhodes with a smirk on his face. 

Kenny King
Cody Rhodes, right? It's so nice to finally meet you! I'll be honest, I thought for a second that you weren't even on the roster anymore. But I guess that I just kinda . . . Forgot about you. Just like everyone else, eh? Don't sweat it though, sport. Now, I've got some real business to take care of, so if YOU don't mind, beat it.  

Cody Rhodes
Wha- Beat it!? Who do you think you are!?

Stephanie steps in between the two as she senses a tit for tat situation arising. She puts one hand on each mans chest and looks back and forth at the two of them, an annoyed look on her face.

Stephanie McMahon
This is not going to happen in my office! Kenny, I can take a good guess as to why you're here. You want to be on the Dead Mans Hand card, no? 

Kenny King
That's right, did you just see me out there? I beat down Amazing Red like the chump that he is! I deserve to be on the card, Stephanie, I deserve a title shot!

Cody Rhodes
Oh, please. How long were you United States champion for again? . . . One week?

Kenny attempts to lunge forward but McMahon's arm keeps him at bay.

Stephanie McMahon
Hey! HEY! Stop it! Kenny, you're right, you did just defeat Amazing Red. But you're a long ways away from a championship match. And Cody, that match that you had with Randy tonight was one of the best I've seen in awhile. But nobody, and I mean NOBODY, demands ANYTHING, from me.

McMahon now takes her hand off of King and turn fully towards Rhodes, a fire in her eyes.

Stephanie McMahon
And that's why Kenny King will be filling in for an injured JBL against The Miz at Dead Mans Hand! . . . I'm sorry Cody, but it seems that there just isn't any room left for you.

Cody's jaw nearly drops to the floor as Kenny nods his head up and down, thrusting his arm back in a celebrating motion.

Kenny King
That's what I'm talking about! Thank you, Stephanie. I promise, after Dead Mans Hand, you'll see that you're number one asset, that's me, is 100% deserving of a championship match!

King reaches out to shake McMahon's hand but she silently refuses, her gaze still on Cody.

Kenny King
Right. I better get going. Catch you later, Cody. I'll try to get you a ticket or something, yeah?

Kenny laughs to himself aloud, exiting the room with a vibrant swagger, leaving Stephanie with a furious Cody Rhodes.



Cody Rhodes
Are you kidding me?!! You've got to be kidding me! I am a former World Heavyweight Champion, Kenny King? He can only wish to do half of the things that I have done in my career, he's a waste of space, the guy couldn't even hold the United States Championship for more than a week, and we both know that's the most pathetic championship on this show, even the Diva's title holds more prestige and that thing is just a big sparkly pink butterfly on a belt! How does it make any sense to pick someone like that to represent yourself and your company on one of the biggest nights of the year? It's just... I can't even think straight right now! You know, Vickie would have made the right choice!

Stephanie cuts cody off quickly.

Stephanie McMahon
HOW DARE YOU compare me to that sloth of a woman?! I've had just about all I'm going to take from you, Cody, now you better shut the hell up and listen to me. I might not approve of your attitude, but I know talent when I see it, and Cody, I see it in you. Now, if you still want to be at Dead Man's Hand, I have the perfect thing for you...

The camera cuts away as Stephanie closes the door to her office, we head away to a commercial break.
 

As Breakdown continues Matt Striker is stood by backstage as he introduces the next segment

Matt Striker: Ladies and Gentlemen I'm being joined at this time by the man who later tonight will be going one on one with Kofi Kingston, the Showoff Dolph Ziggler!

Upon his introduction Dolph Ziggler walks into camera shot standing next to Matt Striker as the interview begins



Dolph Ziggler: 'Sup Mark.

Matt Striker: It's Matt actually.

Dolph Ziggler: Pfft, whatevs.

Ziggler quickly runs his fingers through his hair and flicks his hand out as he glances behind him while Matt Striker starts to ask Dolph the first question



Matt Striker: Now Dolph, last week you defeated Bad News Barrett in a close fought contest as you continue to gain momentum , now tonight you find yourself up against Kofi Kingston, just how do you feel going into this match?

Dolph Ziggler: You know Mark, it's kind of like no matter what I do in that ring, no matter what I say each and every week people don't quite seem to get it. It's like I say every single week without fail it doesn't matter who I face in the ring, it just doesn't matter because whoever it is, they're not in the same league as me just like Bad News Barrett last week wasn't in the same league as me, I prove tonight that the same goes for Kofi. Don't get me wrong he's a good kid, but tonight he's stepping into my ring and when you do that you find out the hard way that there's nobody as good in that ring than me. So when Kofi goes down to the ring tonight there's only one thing you should expect to see and that's me stealing the show just like every other night against everyone I've ever faced. And just like ever other time when I'm done there's one thing that's going to be on every bodies mind... I'm just so DAMN GOOD.

As Ziggler says that he clearly gets fired up ready for his upcoming match against Kofi Kingston ready to do what only The Showoff can



Matt Striker: That might be the case, Dolph but one more thing, the last few weeks you've been campaigning for an opportunity at the Intercontinental championship next week at Dead Man's Hand, now we still don't know who will be facing Sheamus next week for the gold, but if it was you, do you think you'll be able to stop the seemingly unstoppable Celtic Warrior?

Dolph Ziggler: IF? If it's me? Tell me Josh,

Matt Striker: Again, it's Matt.

Dolph Ziggler: Like it matters. The question shouldn't be IF I get that shot at the Intercontinental champion, it should be WHEN i get that shot. Just tell me who deserves that shot than me? Nobody in this company can compare to me. Three times... THREE TIMES I've held that championship, and I'm just so damn sick of having to prove to any and everyone that I deserve anything, and I'm so damn sick of being so damn good at proving them wrong. Every time... EVERY SINGLE TIME I prove them wrong and then the very next day they doubt me again and ever since the turn of the year I've done just that every night and nothings changed and I don't know what I have to do to prove to them once and for all that I've still got it takes like I always have, and when they do the right thing and hand me a shot at the Intercontinental championship next week I finally get to prove that.



Matt Striker: But what if they decide somebody else deserves the opportunity instead of you, what then?

Dolph Ziggler: It's a good job you won't have to find out.



As he pauses for a moment Dolph glances behind him again before turning back to Striker

Dolph Ziggler: Later... Mark.

Matt Striker: It's Matt.

Dolph Ziggler:Who cares?

As Dolph finishes speaking he walks off leaving Matt Striker by himself in the interview area as the cameras fade out to end the segment

The pop is deafening. These people are beyond ecstatic to see Amazing Red in the flesh and the thousands of people packed into this sold out arena rise to their feet in anticipation of the arrival of one of the most exciting competitors to ever grace an XWL ring. Once the heavy instrumental of the music kicks in, Amazing Red steps onto the stage to the delight of the fans who let loose with a deafening roar of cheers. Right behind Red is his official promoter, Don West, who is wearing a smile on his face. Red throws up his signature hand-sign and skips down the ramp with his arms held high in the air while West follows behind slapping a couple of high fives along the way.

Red slides under the bottom rope and waits for West to pick up the microphone resting on the top of the steel stairs and enter the ring himself. Together the two men stand tall and proud in the center of the ring listening proudly as the raucous fans break out into a chant of “Red! Red! Red!” over and over. Despite their pleasure, when the fans see that West has something to say they eventually simmer down so that he can get a couple of words in.



-Don West-
Now that’s what I like to hear! See, it doesn’t matter how his night might have gone, because when he’s greeted to receptions like the one we just heard then that’s a win in my book and it just goes to show where hard work can take you in this world. It’s not just enough that Red is more talent in his little finger than most of this roster has in their entire bodies, no it isn’t because if I can be honest here for a second, this company is filled with people gushing with talent, but what sets Red apart is that he knows what to do with his talent. What makes Red special is that he has me by his side What makes Red different from the rest is that he’s one of the hardest working men in this company despite all the talent he has. Red’s always studying the tapes, brushing up on his game and making sure that he comes to as close to a flawless competitor that he can!

Your cheers are living proof that he’s closer to that goal today than he was yesterday, or heck, even an hour ago, because you see the potential that Amazing Red has within him. The potential to be the star this company oh so desperately needs and the potential to shine brighter and longer than all those who have come before. When I stand here and tell you all this, sure it’s to make my client look good because that’s my job and all, but it goes beyond that. I was once Amazing Red’s biggest fan back when he was a young up and comer trying to find his place in a certain company and this kid was making waves because he was innovating every night and doing moves that shouldn’t even be physically possible yet moves that should be impossible are like second nature to him and that’s why when I got the chance to stand by his side as his official promoter it was like a dream come true.



-Don West-
Some folks will stand there and tell you that at the end of the day the only thing that matters is who had their hand raised after the bell was rung, but sometimes the winners aren’t the better man; sometimes the winners got by on a fluke or a stroke of luck and if your criteria is who wins the most then you’re going to end up with a lot of one-hit wonders like Mason Ryan who was the last person to realize that winning isn’t everything. Now I’m not out here to kick a man while he’s not even here to defend himself. The point I’m trying to get across is that sometimes the man you need to look out for is the one who fought the hardest, the one who had the most guts, the most heart, the most intestinal fortitude, who stepped into the ring with the mindset that if he was going down, then he was going down swinging baby, because a man like that knows what it takes to make it in the long run, even if things aren’t coming up roses in the here and now.



-Don West-
Things may be looking dire for Amazing Red, but you would have to be out your minds to think that this as good as it gets for him. Need I remind you that this right here is the man who made the great Brock Lesnar look vulnerable? Should I be the one to have the Final Stand footage replayed so that you all can see once again how Brock Lesnar had to resort to kicking my client in the family jewels to sneak away with the victory? I’ll be the first to admit that men like Brock Lesnar are in a league of their own, but then I’ll also be the first to let you know that Red entered that league and not for a single second did he look like he didn’t belong there. So what we’re going through now is an adjustment period and what we’re adjusting to is the alarming number of wrestlers who aren’t in that league. Red and I need to go back to the drawing board, reevaluate the Xs and Os and then we need to get a couple of Ws in the win column, because while you may never need to win them all, you for darn sure need to win when it counts.



-Don West-
Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Kenny King all won when it counted, because they entered the ring to compete in a match that everybody had written them out of and they found a way to eke out with a victory that they didn’t really deserve. The common factors in all three of those matches were not that Amazing Red lost, it was how desperate the eventual winners were to pull a fast one over on him. You could see it in the way that they acted, the way they looked  and the way they moved, pulling out all the tricks in the books just how badly they wanted, no, needed to beat Amazing Red because when you take a look at each of those three individual careers what you quickly see are three men who are going nowhere fast, dead-enders I like to call ‘em, and wrestling Amazing Red will be as good as it gets for them for a long, long time.



-Don West-
As for the two of us? We’re looking towards the future after learning from the mistakes we made in the past to make sure that as our journey to the top of the mountain carries on without any hiccups, hitches or missteps. Dead Man’s Hand won’t be a night off for us. Red and I will be keeping a close eye on the show especially the title matches because at one of these pay per views it will be his turn to wrestle with the gold on the line and when that time comes, folks you better believe that it won’t be an opportunity wasted. It doesn’t matter who beat Red before, because every week is a blank slate, a new beginning and a fresh start because when you worry too much about what happened before and let it eat you up from the inside out then you’re only hurting yourself and I will not allow Red to become his own worst enemy.



-Don West-
I say that because he already has enough enemies out there as it is and there’s no need to tack on another one. His enemies are the men who are watching, completely green with envy because every morning they wake up with the knowledge that the chances are slim that they’ll ever be in the position that Red currently is in. Even those who have beat him have done so realizing that Red will still find a way to leave them behind in his rearview mirror while he moves on to bigger and better things. Red’s true enemies are the men who hate the fact that there’s nothing you can do to stop. You can slow him down, sure, but even when he’s moving half a step slower than the rest that’s still twice as fast as everyone else. Is confidence is always through the roof, and he’s not going to step into the ring and suddenly not be the greatest high-flyer on the planet. He’s Amazing freakin’ Red for crying out loud! And what that means is that he’s unlike any other wrestler ever seen before and that ability to separate himself from the pack through his sheer ability is also why he’s still the man to look out for going forward.

Hail Sabin!





Before Amazing Red could put the exclamation point, ending the segment, the all too familiar voice of Chris Sabin shouting, “Hail Sabin!” is heard echoing through the arena. Both West and Red look out towards the stage, awaiting the arrival of the self proclaimed “Motor City Hero.” A few moments pass before Sabin emerges from behind the curtain and makes his way to the ring, not wasting any time doing his usual motions, not after that match he had against Ryback earlier in the evening. Sabin storms down the ramp and enters the ring, picking up a microphone that was positioned under the bottom turnbuckle in the process. He raises it to his lips before speaking.

You really are something, aren't you, West? Week in and week out, you come out here and you keep hyping up a man that doesn't seem to be able to get the job done. You continue to talk about how he's in his own league, how he's better than everybody, how he has more talent in his little finger than most people have in their entire body. Tell me something, how long did it take you to realize that you were believing your own hype? How long before you realize that “Amazing” Red is nothing more than a waste of space that you seem to think is better than he really is?



{Chris Sabin}
Earlier tonight, I had Ryback beaten not once, but twice! Then Stephanie McMahon comes out and restarts the match the first time, how much did you pay her so she could do that? After I recovered following that assault with a steel chair, I lifted Ryback onto my shoulders and dropped him with a Cradle Shock. But that wasn't enough, was it? Mere seconds before the referee's hand slapped the mat a third time, the runt of The West Side Army, the very same coward that stands behind you in this ring, “Amazing” Red decides to intervene and gets himself ejected.



{Chris Sabin}
Instead of awarding me with the win, the referee decides to keep the match going, how much did you pay him to turn a blind eye, West? So I thought to myself, I said, “Self, you already hold two back to back wins, do I go for a hat trick or just walk out on this blatant favoritism?” Instead of taking the cowards way out like your little pet here, I decided to put Ryback down for good.



{Chris Sabin}
“Chris, why would you do that? You already proved that you were better than Ryback.” Actually, I already proved that I was better than the entirety of The West Side Army, but that wasn't enough for Chris Sabin: Motor City Hero. So what does Ryback do? He low blows me and the referee once again turns a blind eye. It's almost as if you paid him off, West.



{Chris Sabin}
So, as any real man knows, getting hit below the belt usually means the end of the match, not that either of you would know about that. Instead of bring the match to a halt, the referee allows this blatant abuse of power to continue, leaving even The Motor City Hero vulnerable in the ring. As the bigger man in this situation, I refuse to allow such a nefarious maneuver to go unpunished, so I do my best to continue, but in my weakened state, it just wasn't enough to keep the brute known as Ryback down long enough to capitalize.



{Chris Sabin}
While Ryback celebrated his hollow “victory,” where was Stephanie McMahon to restart the match? Exactly! Instead of righting a wrong, Stephanie took the lowest of roads and decided to let Ryback's actions go unpunished. If that isn't favoritism, I don't know what is. Since Ryback was assaulting me for what I said about the both of you and The West Side Army a few weeks ago, why don't I take out my aggressions on the two men who are responsible for that attack?



{Chris Sabin}
I've already tried to stop you from getting your job back once, West, so I won't put your pathetic run as a “manager” at risk. Besides, what better way to hurt you than by taking out your star pupil? There's this little Pay-Per-View that's just around the corner, you may have heard of it. It's goes by the name of Dead Man's Hand, and at that Pay-Per-View, I want a match. Not just any match, a match against “Amazing” Red. The spin of a wheel seals your fate, it could be any match imaginable, maybe even an Ultimate X Match, you know, a match that I made famous.



{Chris Sabin}
Would you really want to deny these people a chance of seeing an instant classic? Would you really want to deny “Amazing” Red a chance at getting some revenge for me nearly putting an end to your return before it even began? “Amazing” Red versus “The Motor City Hero” Chris Sabin, this should be the real Main Event, how's that sound? I'll even let you spin the wheel.



The General Manager of Breakdown gets a mixed reaction and Stephanie McMahon is all business as she steps onto the stage with a microphone in her hand.

Nice try, Sabin, but unfortunately, or I guess I should say luckily, you don’t make the matches around here. You don’t have that kind of power. In case you don’t understand allow me to break it down for you: I am the boss and you are an employee and you may not be one for much longer if you continue to forget that by running your mouth about things you know nothing about. As far as that little match is concerned, allow me to make this short and sweet: it’s not happening. You think I was going to forget how you didn’t show up on the biggest pay per view of the year, Sabin? And Red, did you honestly believe I didn’t mind how big of a headache your nonsense with Brock Lesnar gave me?

You two need to learn that wrestling inside of an XWL ring is a privilege and with a snap of my finger I could hire guys who wouldn’t take it for granted like you two would. So, you want to fight over something petty like who gets to call themselves the greatest highflyer? Fine. But you’re going to have to earn the opportunity to fight each other at a later date, by tagging together art Dead Man’s Hand. It’ll be the two of you teaming up to take on three wrestlers that will be chosen by a spin of the wheel and if you make it through that then I won’t stop you from ripping each other apart. Good luck, boys… you’re gonna need it.



With that blockbuster announcement made, Stephanie gives a devilish smirk before turning and exiting the arena leaving the two men who wanted nothing more than to take each other on at Dead Man’s Hand left in the ring wondering how they can possibly co-exist long enough to win a handicap tag team match. Red and Sabin get chest to chest talking all sorts of smack forcing West to be the mediator and he manages to pull Red away from Sabin and together they exit the ring. While they begin their ascent up the ramp, the crowd can be heard chanting “Red! Red! Red!” over and over just as they were earlier and it seems it hasn’t dawned on them that they’ll have to root for Sabin too if they want to see Red put him in his place sometime down the road.

With the cameras rolling Madison Eagles is stood by backstage with her Miss Money in the Bank briefcase in her arms



Madison Eagles: Tonight, it's kind of like full circle isn't it? Tonight I get a little chance at Redemption against the woman who defeated me for my Diva's championship last year, AJ. But credit where it's due, and no hard feelings against her, AJ beat me fair and square and took the one thing I worked so hard to obtain, and now fast forward to Final Stand VI and AJ was one of the two woman I beat to win the Miss Money in the Bank contract for a second time, but still I didn't feel like I really proved anything, at least not to myself. I need to know that I can beat AJ one on one, no Ladders or Bellas involved or else this contract means nothing to me... OK well that's not entirely true I will still be cashing it in at Dead Man's Hand, but I need to know I've put my past behind me and beating AJ is the final step to me knowing I've done that.



Madison Eagles: You know no idea how much I need this, you have no idea how much I've needed this ever since I lost my title in the first place then thrown a side and told I didn't matter, now look at me. I'm just days away from becoming a two time Diva's champion when I beat Paige or Layla whoever it is at Dead Man's Hand, I don't really mind. As long as there's somebody to beat I plan on beating them and beating them again and again. But of course all I've heard for weeks and weeks now is that the Diva's Division is a dying breed in XWL, how nobody care's about us, how some people even refuse to acknowledge us, but when I have my hands on that belt I won't give you a choice but to acknowledge me as your champion, then tell me how much you don't care and see how that works out for you and I've got a feeling it won't work out very well. Because when I'm number one AGAIN, that's when things get really interesting.



Madison Eagles: Just ask Madison Rayne, she found out first hand when you talk down to me it ends badly, when you step into my ring it ends badly, every time no questions asked, then just try thinking how much worse it will get when I have something to hold on to, something worth fighting for, and once I do no one will take it from me so when I become the Diva's champion again once again it's going to be all about ME! ME and my belt! And I dare someone to try to take it from me.

As she finishes speaking Madison walks out of camera shot as the segment comes to an end and Breakdown heads to a commercial break

 
 
 
We come back from a commercial break where Layla is shown taking a seat at the commentary table, fixing her headset and smiling as she's greeted by the three gentlemen.

Folks welcome back, and welcome our guest at this time, Layla!  
 
 
 
Hi JR, thanks so much for having me.  
 
 
[King] 
To what do we owe this pleasure, Layla? 
 
 


 
Well, you know I competed earlier, and what can I say, I'm still itching for more. So I thought I'd join you three out here for a match. Who was it again that's competing next? I know I saw it on the board back there, but it's just slipped my mind.  
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
I'm sure it has, The Divas Champion Paige is in action next against Madison Rayne. 
 
 
 
Oh, Paige is next? Well what a coincidence, I didn't expect to be out here for her match, and it'd just be rude to leave now.  
 
 
 
 
[JR] 
So you're not upset about what happened between you two earlier? 
 
 
 
Me? Never. It's not the first time I've been slapped, I'm sure she just trying to swat a fly or something, we are best friends after all so it was obviously an accident, obviously.  
 
 
[King] 
Speaking of obvious, Paige blatantly interfered in your match last week, have you and Michelle been able to discuss what happened? 
 
 
 
 
 
Of course, I know she didn't see what happened, I mean me staggering backwards as if I had just been struck by something was kind of a tell tale sign, but it's water under the bridge.  
 

[Michael Cole] 
You competed earlier against newcomer Candice LeRae, do you have anything to say about that match? Do you think she has a bright future? 
 


 
The sky's the limit for that girl, she's a little...on the...what's the word, different? Side of things, but we all have our moments, she's a gorgeous girl, she doesn't need that headgear, and Cody Rhodes has no idea what he's missing. In fact just before I came out here I left some flowers for her in the diva's locker room, so I'm sure that'll cheer her right up when she sees them.

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first, from Seattle Washington, Madison Rayne! 
 
 
The crowd get to their feet, some signs for Madison Rayne going into the air, but not many due to her attitude two weeks ago. The curtain on the stage parts as Madison comes walking through, sass in her step the entire way out onto stage. She stops at the top of the ramp, turning around so everyone can get a look at her. Rayne smiles before starting off down the ramp. 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
And here comes my favorite diva! 
 
 
 
Ouch, I'm sitting right here. 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
You used to be my favorite until you had to go and turn your life around. 
 
 
[King] 
Yeah Layla, how dare you try to be a better person. 
 
 
 
Now now King, there's no need to be sarcastic. Madison's great, I'm actually glad she decided to come back. If you're going to have a lying, cheating, manipulating bitch, it might as well be one that's going to be that way to your face, not when you least expect it like a certain someone...
 
[King] 
Do we know that someone?

[JR] 
I think we do, King.

 
Madison waves at some of the fans, that million dollar smile gracing her lips as she reaches the ring. She heads to the steps, climbing them slowly and walking across the apron. She points to the bottom rope, Justin rushing over to lower the rope for her to get in. He presses his foot on the bottom rope, allowing Rayne to get in even simpler. 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
Madison Rayne has a big opportunity ahead of her tonight. 
 
 
 
Let's just hope Paige doesn't try to run away like against me two weeks ago. 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
She wasn't running away. 
 


 
And if I've got anything to say about it, she won't be running away tonight. 
 
 
Rayne smiles, running a hand across Justin's chest when she gets in. She walks past him, taunting to the fans who boo her. She loves every moment of it when the theme changes. 
 
 
 
 
 
Paige walks out from behind the curtain, her Divas Championship in tow as the live audience in attendance make their voices heard and boo the current champion. 
 
 
 
 
[King] 
There she is, The Divas Champion herself, the woman that will be defending her title next week in Las Vegas! 
 
 
[JR] 
But what type of match will that be, that is the question that nobody knows the answer to.  
 
 
 
Well if it's running away and hiding competition she's sure to have an advantage... 
 
 
[King] 
I can't help but detect a little animosity there.  
 
 
 
What? From me? It's not like I'm upset about her taking the easy way out two weeks ago, and then taking every opportunity to act as if she's the greatest thing ever, no nothing like that at all.  
 
 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
Good, you know I think you should start taking some of the blame in the end of your friendship. 
 
 
 
You're right, it's all my fault, she's not the one that was jealous of me and bent on becoming Divas Champion at all costs, no she was a perfect little angel.  

 
 
[Justin Roberts]  
And her opponent, from Norwich, England, she is the Divas Champion, Paige! 
 
 
She makes her way down the entrance ramp, not paying attention to the boos raining down from either side of the ramp, instead focusing her efforts towards the announcers table, where her opponent in six nights has taken refuge. Paige makes it to the bottom of the ramp and walks around the ring before scaling the apron. She places her Divas Championship on the canvas and removes her jacket before picking the championship back up and letting out one of her signature screams. Paige enters the ring and hands the official her championship, who then hands it over to the timekeeper. 
 

[JR] 
This one's about to go down folks, start throwing out those predictions.

[Michael Cole] 
Obviously Paige, she is The Divas Champion after all.

[King] 
But Madison Rayne is more determined than ever to make an impact here, and there's no bigger impact than defeating The Divas Champion.

 
I'm just looking forward to a great match, silly petty differences aside, that's what it's all about.

The bell rings, the two diva's staring each other down, Paige looking at Layla for a few seconds before turning to Rayne. Madison smiles at her, walking forward, face to face with the diva's champion. Rayne simply slaps Paige, causing the crowd to make the triumphant "OHHH!" sound.  
 
 
 
 
[King] 
Madison just slapped the champion across the face! 
 
 
 
Well if you're gonna dish it out you better be able to take it. 
 
 
[Michael Cole] 
Kind of like how Paige slapped you, so you slapped Matt Striker? Which for the record, nice job. That dork deserved it, you both should have slapped him.

 
Poor Matt was just in the right place at the wrong time.
 
 
 Rayne extends her hands, laughing a bit at her cheap shot. Paige runs her hand across her face, turning to Rayne with a look of pure anger as Madison laughs to herself. Paige pounces on her, knocking her to the mat and slamming her head into the mat. Paige begins to take the fight to Madison, punching her while slamming her head to the mat.  


[JR] 
The hellcat, taking it to Madison Rayne.

[King] 
You do not wanna make Paige angry, she's like a banshee when she screams!



 
Speaking from experience, it's not exactly hard to make her angry...a simple compliment throws her off the deep end.
 
Paige gets up, screeching to the fans, feeling the adrenaline rushing through her before turning back around to find Madison getting to her feet. Paige walks over to get kicked in the gut, Rayne hooking the head and hitting her with a hip toss. Rayne begins to wrench the head, keeping Paige grounded. Madison begins to smile, knowing that she has the champion where she wants her. Paige begins to gain her base, trying to get to her feet. When she gets all the way up, Paige pushes Madison against the ropes, then back across the ring, releasing her grip.  
 
 
Rayne comes back across the ring, Paige hitting her with a hip toss. Rayne rolls off into the corner, getting on her back, backing away from Paige. She backs herself right into the corner, Paige rushing forward, kneeing Madison right in the face. Paige pulls Madison out, covering her.  

[Michael Cole] 
The first pinball of this contest, is it over already?

Silly Michael, you should know better than that.
 
 
The late one count causes Paige to think about her next move, dragging Madison to her feet, hooking the head in a headlock. With every passing second, Paige continues to apply pressure to the headlock, causing Madison to quickly begin thinking of an escape strategy, deciding to unload a series of elbows to Paige's abdomen before pulling her towards the ropes in an attempt to get her to release her grip. 

[JR] 
Madison with some smart thinking here.



 
I wouldn't exactly say that, Paige isn't stupid. She's not going to get disqualified, at least not this easily.

[Michael Cole] 
About time you give her some credit for something.

 
It's like you two have blinders on or something...

[King] 
Welcome to our hell.
 
Madison launches Paige off the ropes and across the ring, or at least she thinks she did, but that only causes Paige's grip to tighten, putting them both in the center of the ring. With no other option seemingly in sight, Madison quickly drops down to a knee and pushes off the canvas, lifting Paige up into the air and dropping her across her back with a back suplex. 

[Michael Cole] 
A very nice back suplex from The Killer Queen.

[JR] 
A terrific counter.



 
This isn't Paige's first match, she knows a lot of ways to stay in control but sometimes she gets a little too confident and that's when things like that happen.

 
 
Paige holds her lower back in pain as she begins crawling towards the nearest turnbuckle to make it up to her feet. Meanwhile, a few feet away, Madison is shown shaking off the cobwebs and charges at Paige, who's able to quickly get her feet up, catching Madison across the jaw and sends her stumbling backwards. She runs forward towards Paige again, intent on doing what she has in mind, but Paige is one step ahead and trips Madison with a drop toe hold, sending her face first into the middle turnbuckle. 

[King] 
Ow, I hope her pretty face is okay.

 
I'm sure she'll be okay, she's a tough cookie herself.

[JR] 
Paige is very aware of her surroundings, I think that's the most dangerous quality of hers.

 
A very fair point, she's been in the ring since she was thirteen, so I'd hope she'd be very aware of the ring.
 
 
Madison holds her jaw as Paige begins walking to the center of the ring before turning back around and making a beeline towards Madison, who now has her back to the turnbuckle. Paige soars through the air and lands on the second rope, launching Madison halfway across the ring with a Monkey Flip. Madison crashes onto the canvas with a thud as Paige makes it up to her feet. 



 
Paige is gaining control, Madison better get her head back in the game or she's done for.

[Michael Cole] 
I'm conflicted, I want Paige to win, but...Madison's just so deserving of a win like this.

[King] 
It's big momentum for whoever wins, but who will?

 
She walks towards the fallen Madison and drags her towards the nearest set of ring ropes, which just happen to be in front of the announcers table, giving the commentators, but more importantly, Layla, a front row seat to what she has in store for her match at Dead Man's Hand. Paige exits out onto the apron, pulling Madison's upper torso outside along with her, before beginning to unload a flurry of knee strikes to her exposed face, each one harder than the last. 




[JR] 
I think she's looking right at you, Layla.



 
Well all eyes are always on Layla, so I'm not surprised. But seriously, I think it's quite obvious that I'm in her head, let's just hope she's not distracted enough for her to slip up and make a mistake.
 
 
The seemingly endless assault comes to an end as the referee's count reaches four, forcing the “Anti-Diva” to stop her assault prematurely. Madison's body collapses into the ring as Paige lets out her signature scream, signaling that she's ready to end this match, before reentering the ring, Paige begins sizing up Madison, but for which of her finishing maneuvers? 

[Michael Cole] 
I think Paige is looking to end this, will it be The Paige Turner? Or will she introduce Madison to The Scorpion Cross Lock?

[JR] 
Things don't look good for Madison Rayne right now.

 
I'm going to get a closer look, you know...for scouting purposes.

[Michael Cole] 
Hey, get back here!

[King] 
Layla's scouting something, but it's not Madison or Paige, she's walking to The Divas Championship!
 
 
While Madison struggles to her feet, Layla leaves the commentary team and makes her way towards the timekeepers area, retrieving the Divas Championship from him. Paige sees this and turns her attention to Layla, shouting at her to leave her championship alone. It falls on deaf ears as Layla is shown kissing the Divas Championship, mocking her opponent in just six nights. 

[JR] 
Layla playing a bit of mind games with her opponent next week!

[Michael Cole] 
Put that down, that doesn't belong to you!

[King] 
If Paige hadn't of gotten herself counted out two weeks ago, that title may very well have been Layla's right now.

 
Paige walks towards the ropes and begins shouting some more at Layla, placing her hand on the second rope as she partially exits the ring, giving Layla the perfect opportunity to “return the favor” for last week. Layla charges forward, throwing her arms forward, ready to hit Paige with her own championship, causing the current champion to cover up, but Layla stops herself in the process, causing Paige to fall for her trick. 

[JR] 
Turnabout is fair play! Layla giving Paige a taste of what she gave her last week, but with a mischievous twist!

[Michael Cole] 
Oh don't even, Layla ran into the title last week, she did it on purpose. Paige was innocent, how many times do I have to tell you that.
 
Before Paige can question what's going on, she's rolled up by Madison, but Paige is able to roll through it, but it appears that's exactly what Madison was hoping for, and quickly kicks Paige's knee, causing her to drop down onto a knee, giving Madison the perfect opportunity to place her knee on the back of the Divas Champion's head and sending her onto the canvas with a Rayne Drop. She quickly goes for the cover. 



[King] 
RAYNE DROP!

[JR] 
Madison's got The Divas Champion down, is this it?!

[Michael Cole] 
Madison wins, I wish Layla had minded her own business, but Madison Rayne  just pinned The Divas Champion!

[JR] 
Layla with a bit of payback for last week, and she didn't even have to touch her.

[King] 
It's genius, Paige thought she was going to be whacked by own her title, which allowed Madison Rayne a much needed chance to get back in this, and score the biggest win she's had since coming back.



The referee raises a victorious Madison's hand up in the air as she excitedly glows after picking up an all important non-title victory over the Divas Champion, Paige.




She looks over at Layla, knowing that her distraction did help her pick up this big win, but she doesn't smile at her. Instead she stares for a moment, before waving her arm at the fallen Paige, and leaving. Allowing Layla some one on one time with her opponent next week, and the woman that slapped her earlier tonight. Layla enters the ring, Paige's title in hand, and she kneels down beside her. She looks concerned for her, though we know she's not, she puts on the act that she is. Layla extends The Divas Championship to Paige, she sits up, glaring at her then snatching it out of her hands. Doing exactly what Layla wanted her to, because the second she does, Layla drops down to the mat with a basement style drop kick, sending The Divas Championship smack dab into Paige's face!

[Michael Cole] 
That was uncalled for!

[JR] 
As was Paige's assault on Layla during last week's broadcast.

[King] 
And Paige slapping Layla across the face earlier tonight!



The fans pop, Paige being laid out in a way by her own title, but the fun is not over. Layla wants to send a message to Paige, and what better way to do that, than to get in her head...Layla pulls Paige's legs out towards her, she steps in between them, twisting her legs together, the fans begin to cheer...instantly knowing what this mischievous little minx has in mind. Paige screams instantly, refusing to even allow this, but despite clawing at Layla, doing everything she can to prevent it...she doesn't. Layla tightly holds her legs against hers, then begins to spin her onto her stomach! The Divas Championship is front in front of Paige, she tries to grab it, just fingertips away....when Layla grabs both of her arms pulling them back behind her, garnering more enraged screams from The Divas Champion.

[JR] 
I don't believe it!

[King] 
Is that The Scorpion Cross Lock?!

[Michael Cole] 
How dare she! WHO THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?! That's Paige's move!



Going wild with excitement over this unexpected sight, the fans look on in amazement as Layla has Paige trapped in her own submission. The Anti-Diva screams, screams of anger, pain, everything mixed together, she's got to be incredibly embarassed to have let this happen, and the fact that her Divas Championship is right in front of her, staring at her, making her think that this could actually happen next week...it angers her even more! "LET ME GO!" she screams, but Layla uses every ounce of her ability to keep it locked in for as long as she can. Paige tried to lock this in last week but Michelle was able to save Layla from that fate, Paige however...has nobody that's going to come to her rescue tonight.  



[King] 
Could you imagine if Layla could make Paige tap out to the very submission she used to become Divas Champion?

[Michael Cole] 
Layla's going to regret this, she thinks this is a game? It's a game she's going to lose, you do not embarrass someone like this!

[JR] 
Maybe, but Layla's just done the ultimate mind game, The Scorpion Cross Lock is Paige's new IT move, it's the one thing that's supposed to be her most dangerous weapon...and now it's being used against her, by the woman that she first locked it in on.



Refusing to tap out to her own move, Paige withstands the pain until Layla releases the hold. The Former Divas Champion smiles confidently, grabbing and raising The Divas Championship into the air as she stands over an emotionally frustrated Paige. You can bet that she will do everything in her power to make sure that this isn't the sight we see at Dead Mans Hand, but on that same note, you can bet Layla will do everything to make sure it is.

Dead Mans Hand is live in Las Vegas next week, an advertisement promoting it concludes, and we're taken backstage to a live Renee Young.



Getting the cue that we're back on the air, Renee smiles before greeting the audience, both in the arena and at home.



[Renee Young]
Live within the halls of The Maverik Center, I'm ready to get the bottom of this situation surrounding the man that just four weeks ago, was Main-Eventing the biggest show of the year. It's been four weeks of silence, and nobody knows why. Fellow interviewers have tried to catch Ted, to ask him how he's doing, what his next move is, but it's been total and complete silence for an entire month. This isn't normal, especially for someone that's always been vocal, whether good or bad.




[Renee Young]
He's gone through the motions, competed every week since the crushing defeat. Yet, in spite of that...something's off. It's been speculated that he took the loss hard, perhaps regrets how he returned, and the new attitude that came back with him. People have wondered if he's depressed about finally having that big Main-Event and then failing. Is this just something to make us all forget about what happened so he can go back to talking himself up? If that were the case you have to believe he'd have spoken by now. So what really is going on? Todd Grisham last week spoke with The General Manager Stephanie McMahon and we learned something that added to the strange feeling over all of this.





[Renee Young]
Apparently Ted DiBiase's contract is in it's final days, we're not sure if it's weeks, a month, but it's an extension from his year deal he signed a year ago when he won his job back. The strange part of this is the fact that Stephanie McMahon went on record to state that she wants to resign Ted, that she in no way want to lose him. But with Ted's reluctance to speak, the ball is in his court, and until he says something, anything...negotiations cannot proceed. This tidbit of knowledge raises more questions, and we still have no answers.

With a puzzled look on her face, Renee looks around, then sighs as she continues.

I've been outside the male locker room for half an hour now, and I am not leaving this post until Ted comes out of that room and explains what's really going on. He's in a HUGE match tonight, facing the man that he met on the grand stage two years ago, and currently leading is the very match type he beat The Rock in. The fans want to see The Rock and Ted DiBiase in a Steel Cage match, are they showing sympathy to Ted, the man that used to be the crowd favorite after seeing him hit Rock Bottom?

We don't know what's going on, but I'm Renee Young, and I plan to get to the bottom of this mysterious situation tonight. I'll be waiting out here as long as it takes, until Ted comes out that door, and we finally catch him for an interview that's been long awaited.

She turns back around, smiling ready to send back it back to ringside.

Until that moment comes, back to yo- wait...do you hear that?

Turning back around as quick as she can, the camera pans to the door, shoving the nob moving. Renee motions for them to get into position, then slowly the door opens...



But its not Ted DiBiase! It's Bad News Barrett! Wade stands smiling as a clear look of disappointment is on the face of Rene

So you're looking for Ted DiBiase? You want me to just walk back in there and get Ted to come out here and talk to you?

Well...I'm Afraid I've got some BAD NEWS! Ted DiBiase isn't in  here, Infact Ted DiBiase would never be in the same room as Wade Barrett. I don't know where Ted DiBiase and frankly Renee, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned he can stay silent for the rest of his career.  His silence is saving us from having to listen to his moaning and his complaining about losing at Final Stand once again.

So I hope you never find Ted, Renee. I hope you never get him to speak again because it's much better around here when he isn't speaking. But don't worry, Renee.. You can always come find me, I can tell you exactly what is on Ted DiBiase's mind but more importantly... I can tell you what is on the mind of Wade Barrett!

Ladies and gentlemen, we would like to direct your attention to tonight's main event. Tonight we will see the contenders for the United States Championship and World Heavyweight Championship team up, as Eric Young and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin take on their respective Champions in a tag team match. The Champions however, just so happen to be former members of the most destructive group that this industry has ever seen: The Shield!

[Jim Ross]
That's right, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will be reunited in tonight's main event and while they have their history in a stable, there is no denying that their has been some bad blood between the former members of The Shield, as a matter of fact it wasn't but two weeks ago where these two men went to war with one another in a Steel Cage match which ended in both men going through the wall of the cage.

[Jerry Lawler]
Let us not forget, that their opponents have been on a roll. Due to the previous rejection from Roman Reigns, Eric Young seemingly turned over a new page and shown some new colours in the past two weeks, after the Steel Cage match EY came out and attacked the United States Champion. The two men fought to the back and last week Eric Young told the World that he was tired of being overlooked and that he has the heart to succeed in this company and this new side impressed Roman Reigns, who later in the night granted Eric Young's request for a match at Dead Man's Hand for the United States Championship but he made sure that EY knew that he was going to make him eat his words.

[Jim Ross]
Then we take a look at Dean Ambrose's opponent: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin who has found the form of old. He has been tearing up the roster and he fought his way into earning a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. While it seemed everything was going his way after leaving the Champion knocked out after a Stone Cold Stunner two weeks in a row, found out first hand just why the West Side Army have been so successful because after Austin had defeated The Ryback the Army attacked and three members beat him down like a government mule! After the attack Ambrose covered Austin and they counted a three count, showing what could happen at Dead Man's Hand but what Dean needs to realise is there won't be three other men in the ring with him! It will just be him and the Texas Rattlesnake and if I know Steve as well as I think I do, he will be ready to open up a can of whoop ass on the current World Heavyweight Championship!

[Michael Cole]
Tonight goes a long way in creating momentum heading into the PPV, needless to say all men are heading into big matches and the momentum that they could receive from a victory here tonight could be the deciding factor in who walks out holding the Championships. Everyone is out to prove their point and send their message. Eric Young to prove that he shouldn't be overlooked, Stone Cold to prove that he isn't past it and can still e the tog dog, Roman Reigns to prove that The Juggernaut can roll over anyone in his path and Dean Ambrose to prove that he is the best World Heavyweight Champion to date.

[Jim Ross]
Given their history, the advantage lies with the Champions here tonight as Stone Cold and Eric Young have never worked together as a team before but the latter don't have the bitter history of the Champions. They have no bad blood to look past here tonight, so the question on everyones mind is can Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose some way get on the same page here tonight?

The Shield's theme begins to blast through the speakers and is met by a mixed reaction from the crowd, the cameras begin to pan around the arena looking for a glimpse of the Champions. Cheers come from a section of the crowd, the camera turns in the direction of the cheers and can see Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns making their way down the steps both proudly displaying their United States and World Heavyweight Championships. As they make their way down the stairs, the fans pat them on the back, everyone of them getting caught up in the brief moment of nostalgia, seeing both Ambrose and Reigns walk out together, to that music, through the crowd has made them all forget the acts of violence and destruction that these two men performed together whilst flying the same flag.

[Michael Cole]
I think that answers your question J.R.

[Jim Ross]
Looks can be deceiving, Cole...

Ambrose hops over the barricade, quickly followed by Reigns. Ambrose climbed into the ring as Reigns climbs up onto the apron before scaling the turnbuckles, Ambrose stands in the middle of the ring and both men raise their respective Championships high into the air which receives a surprisingly loud pop. 2/3's of what was The Shield both wearing gold, proudly displaying what they both fought so hard to capture. Reigns hops down and gets into the ring, he stands next to Dean Ambrose who has found himself in possession of a microphone. He raises the mic to his mouth.

What happens when one of the most dominate factions to ever grace this sport reunites for one night without its weak link? What happens when two champions put aside their hatred for one another to take care of a common problem? What happens when Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose get on the page to remove a non existent threat to our championships? It's been a while, hasn't it? The last time we were in this ring under the same banner, we turned on the black sheep of The Shield in Seth Rollins, then I turned on you.



{Dean Ambrose}
Things are different now, for the time being anyways, there is no vendetta against the other, we're not going to use each other to send a message to our opponents in six days at Dead Man's Hand, no, we're going to send that message later tonight in the Main Event. Reigns and myself have quite a bit of history since the demise of The Shield, I beat you at X-treme X-mas at the end of last year, you beat me weeks ago, then you put me through the cage wall seven days ago, yet, here we are, standing in the same ring, our egos and our pride put aside for the night.



{Dean Ambrose}
It's been what, six, seven months since The Shield ended? And there seems to be a certain, “Rainbow Haired” nuisance that can't let go, that can't move on, that can't process that The Shield is no more. From what I hear, we are the subject of his every conversation, Reigns, we are viciously and relentlessly assaulted verbally week in and week out. I guess if I failed to become Intercontinental Champion multiple times while both of my former allies went on to become the United States and World Heavyweight Champions, I would be bitter too.



{Dean Ambrose}
I mean, really, I would blame my shortcomings on the two men that went on to find success upon The Shield coming to an end. I wouldn't blame my lack of talent, I wouldn't blame the fact that I couldn't get the job done when it mattered, I wouldn't blame it on the fact that I was, in fact, the weak link of The Shield. Instead of proving the naysayers wrong and focusing on becoming a champion, I would rather run down Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose because it's the only way to keep myself relevant. Sound familiar?



{Dean Ambrose}
Do you know why we don't bring up The Shield on a weekly basis, Rollins, do you know why we don't talk about when we called you an ally every week? Because we moved on, we moved on to bigger and better things, like Reigns defending his United States Championship for years to come, and Dean Ambrose defending his World Heavyweight Championship until the end of time. When I formed The Shield many months ago, I gave you the tools you needed to “make it” in this sport, and judging by the championship he has in his possession, Reigns clearly listened to what I said. You, however, did not.



{Dean Ambrose}
Relevancy is a bitch, isn't it, Rollins? You belittle us on a weekly basis, you fire your “shots” in an attempt to prove that you weren't just a flash in the pan, but the joke's on you, Rollins, your “shots” are nothing but blanks. When Reigns and myself speak, the world listens to what we have to say, when you speak, everybody mutes their television sets or goes to sleep because it's the same thing every single week.

Come on, Dean. Don't be so hard on the guy. I mean how would you feel if you had all the momentum in the World when you were apart of the most unstoppable force that this company has ever seen, then when that force goes its separate ways and you not quite living up to the hype that you created for yourself. While the other two members, the two people that you traveled with, two people that you called brother before you started growing an ego went out and fought our way to the top. Now you're looking at the United States Champion and World Heavyweight Champion! While you're just clinging on to the past... Pfft … Pathetic!



[Roman Reigns]
I remember traveling on the road with you, I remember how you kept telling me and Dean that for you the skies the limit, how you were going to climb the ranks and one day capture the the Intercontinental Championship. You were so adamant, you were so confident and in your eyes we were just holding you back, we were just dead weight dragging on your coat tails and out of the three of us you were going to be the one who was going to make it. The question is how did that work out for you, son? Hell, I even had time to leave the company and come back and capture this here United States Championship before you even made a dent in the rankings. We know you had someone rooting for you and when your chance finally came, the moment when your stories and your dreams get their happy ending, what happened? You blew your shot.



[Roman Reigns]
You get one chance in this World to take your opportunity. I took out a veteran and a rising star in one night to make my claim and then I took out one of the greatest United States Champions of this generation and I become United States Champion. Dean had his doubters, people didn't believe he earned his chance but he proved those people wrong and he became the World Heavyweight Champion and he has proved that he is a fighting Champion taking out past Champions along the way. Yet the only thing to your name Seth, is being a former member of The Shield. Now don't get me wrong, I think I speak for both of us when I say I take  immense pride in what we achieved back in the day... But this?

Reigns lifts his United States Championship in the air, resulting in Dean Ambrose lifting his World Heavyweight Championship in the air

Trust me when I tell you, this is better. I understand your grief, I understand why you are bitter, you see Dean and I reach the heights that you failed to reach, you seen the pair of us achieve things that you can only dream of achieving. So you make your snide comments, you make your “witty” remarks and you think you “burn” us but take a look at what you see before you, Seth. You claim that you are the strongest link, you hang onto your victory so proudly but before you stands The Shield reunited for one night and one night only, both holding gold and looking to take out the “threat” here tonight. So tell me, Seth. Just when do your words have their effect? Just when are we supposed to feel the burn?

Reigns turns to Ambrose

[Roman Reigns]
How are you feeling, man? Because I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Ambrose smirks, outstretches his arms and can be heard saying “It's all good”. Reigns turns back to the camera



[Roman Reigns]
You've been making your little remarks since your fluke win, you've been hanging onto the past and not a bit of it has got you anywhere, not a single words has dented our confidence and nothing you have tried has stopped us from reaching the heights that you never will. So when is enough, enough? You can only hang on for so long before you've got to let go and a little word of advise, you may want to be the one to let go because while your little routine is cute right now, we are growing increasingly tired of forever being linked with you. So you might want to let go, before Dean and I force you to.



{Dean Ambrose}
I couldn't have said it better myself, and trust me, Rollins, Reigns and myself, we can be very persuasive. So while you continue to cling on to the small shred of hope you once had, while you try to live off of your former glory when you were a member of The Shield, we will continue making history while you become nothing more than a thing of the past . We are the difference makers, we are the trend setters, we are the mold breakers. Together, we took this company by storm, alone, we conquered it.



{Dean Ambrose}
When people think of The Shield, they think about Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, not about the little engine that couldn't in Seth Rollins. We have become synonymous with greatness, with power, with control, while all you've become synonymous with is bitterness, with irrelevancy, with failure. It's easy to talk trash about someone when they aren't looking you in the eye, it's easy to attempt to run our names through the mud when you're talking to a camera backstage, the real challenge is saying it to our face.

There's a difference between you and us, Rollins, we talk smack to one another every now and again, and when we do, we don't cower in a corner, we don't hide from the other, we walk down those steps, jump that barricade, get into this ring and put it all on the line. Sometimes I win, other times he does, and that's fine, wins and losses don't mean a damn thing to me, all that matters is sending a message. We don't back down from the other, we don't run from out fights, we leave it all in the ring.

That's why as much as I don't like Reigns, I do respect what he's done and what he stands for, which is a lot more than I could say for you. So continue talking about how you're going to become Intercontinental Champion, continue to “burn” us, continue saying what you think you're going to do, because Reigns and I, we're going to do something you can't: We're going to continue backing up our words.

That trend is no different tonight. Tonight we do one another a favour and we beat the holy hell out of our oppponents for Dead Man's Hand and after we get through with them who knows, maybe they won't even make it to Dead Man's Hand. EY, you've turned over a new page and you've got this mean streak in you that nobody has seen before. It's no exaggeration to say that you've got a couple of screws loose and while everyone else just finds your attempts cute, you believe that is what gives you the edge going into our match at Dead Man's Hand, you believe that is what's going to make it that you come walking out of the match holding my United States Championship. Cute.

But what happens when later on tonight you're confronted by a man who has a few more screws loose? What happens when you come face to face with a man that has no regard for his own body let alone his opponents? Tonight you may very well come face to face with the Lunatic Fringe, the only question on my mind is that this new chapter in your career, is that enough to take out Dean? You think I'm dangerous? You believe that I have that cut-throat mentality, trust me, mine only pales in comparison, the things running through that mans mind would make people ill just at the mere thought and tonight you get to try your luck at facing the unpredictability that comes in the little package that is Dean Ambrose.

Then we come to Steve Austin. The living legend who is tearing it up, who has fought his way to the top of the rankings to get himself a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship. I bet you're feeling pretty good about yourself right now, Steve. That is if you can't remember being left on your back by the West Side Army last week, the almighty Steve Austin, brought down by Ambrose, an idiot and a man who tries punching above his weight... No offense... The thing is Steve, you may believe that you have an even chance tonight, the odds are even and there is no numbers game but you're forgetting one important aspect, you're getting in the ring with Roman Reigns!

With that the odds are always stacked against you, with that the ball is never in your court and I won't need three men to take you out, I will quite happily and easily break you in half faster than J.R can scream “Bah Gawd, King!” Tonight you meet The Juggernaut, tonight I add another name to the list of rising stars and legends that have all fallen before me because tonight I take out the living legend that is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and show the World that the Attitude Era is over, you are out of your depths because once again this is The Shield's yard! You wanted to try your hand at this generation, you wanted to come back and play with the big boys well Steve, we don't play nice. So drink up, pound those famous Steveweisers... Because if you are lucky they will numb the pain of the beating that you have coming to you. You may have the fighting spirit but Steve, nobody gets back up after suffering the Spear!

Everything we say is the truth, we don't lie, we don't need to, our actions speak for us. So when Reigns says that no one gets up after they're hit with his spear, it's an unrivaled fact, I know from experience. So what that means is that when you get hit with a spear, Eric Young, you won't be getting back up for a long, long time. Your worst nightmare has now come true, you thought it was bad enough that you were facing a reunited Shield, but now that myself and Roman Reigns are on the same page, the sliver of hope you had when you were told you were facing us, it's no longer there.



{Dean Ambrose}
The only thing you had going for yourselves was the off chance that we turned on each other like we did all those months ago, the off chance that our egos would get in the way and we'd rip each others heads off, the off chance that you could beat us at our best. Both of you can't even hold a candle to us at our worst, let alone at our best. Tonight is going to go one of two ways, either Reigns is going to spear the both of you back to a time where you were relevant, or I will end both your careers.

For weeks now, you somehow started to believe your own hype, Austin, you started to believe that you had my number. A couple of Stone Cold Stunners and you think you're better than I am, a couple of Stone Cold Stunners and you think that you're taking this World Heavyweight Championship from my possession. If you truly believe that, then you've already lost. You think that anybody cares that you left me “laid out” in this ring a couple weeks in a row? Do you really think that means anything?



{Dean Ambrose}
The only thing that matters is what happens at Dead Man's Hand, the only thing that matters is who's left standing with the bell rings, that only thing that matters is who walks out with this championship in their possession. You're fooling yourself if you believe that you have what it takes to lace up your boots for one last big match in your dwindling career. You're in the final stages of your career, Austin, while myself and Roman Reigns, we're just getting started.



{Dean Ambrose}
You've faced a lot of different types of people in your career, you've faced anybody and everybody, from giants to submission specialists, but you've never faced anybody like Dean Ambrose. Tonight, you'll get just a taste of what's to come in just six days, Austin. Tonight, your definition of pain will be redefined, and tonight, you will see a preview of your future. We don't mess around, Austin, Eric Young, we don't play games, we don't make mistakes, the only thing we do is inflict inhumane amounts of pain towards those who stand in our way.



{Dean Ambrose}
Austin, take your precious Steveweisers, take your useless Stone Cold Stunners, take your stupid catchphrases and leave them behind because neither of them will help you come Dead Man's Hand. You want to say that “Austin 3:16 just whooped my ass,” well I'm going to do you one better: Ambrose 3:16 says Reigns just speared your ass! Believe that!

Believe that we are going to beat you down within an inch of your lives here tonight, you better keep a prayer in your heart because you are going to need a miracle to just survive tonight and be able to make it to tomorrow, let alone Dead Man's Hand. Know tonight, that all your little imaginary momentum that you think you have gained from trying to play the tough guy or getting a lucky hit in, comes to an immediate and crashing halt as soon as you prove you are idiotic enough to step foot in this ring with the most feared and dominate stable that this industry has ever had the displeasure of laying their eyes on.



[Roman Reigns]
Believe that after I cut you in half with a Spear, Austin and after Dean drops you on your skull, EY, that we are going to walk into Dead Man's Hand holding these Championships and that we are going to walk out the exact same way. It's no secret that you are past it Steve, you are trying to prove your worth in the wrong Generation, we are a whole different animal and the clock is ticking, your age is going to catch up to you and we will be standing there to take advantage of the situation and EY, the World knows that you are punching above your weight, you barely survived in the lower ranks and you want to step in the ring with Ali? Stupid move, son. Tonight we show the flaws in your game, tonight we show that you haven't got a chance at Dead Man's Hand.



[Roman Reigns]
Believe that for one night and one night only we are back on the same page, we have bad blood but we can look past that for the greater good and that greater good is taking out the jokes that we have been presented with. What you see standing before you is not only the United States and World Heavyweight Champions, we are also the hard hitting reality that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Eric Young will have to come face to face with and that reality will show them exactly where they belong. One in a retirement home and the other shipped off to some independent crap where maybe he could make a success of himself. Your luck is over, boys. Believe that!



[Roman Reigns]
And Believe... In The Shield!

With that said, Ambrose tosses his microphone aside and raises the World Heavyweight Championship up into the air, with Reigns following suit shortly after with his United States Championship as the theme of The Shield starts playing throughout the arena once more. Nostalgia causing the live audience in attendance to react in a positive reaction for the brief reunion of one of the most dominant factions in the history of the company. Reigns and Ambrose exchange a look before nodding and taking a step towards one another. Ambrose quickly extends his arm in the shape of a fist towards Reigns, who does the same, both men partaking in sealing the deal of their reunion by meeting their fists in their usual Shield like manner. They follow up by raising their respective championships into the air, showing that even after the events that transpired many months ago could and have been put aside for the time being. As the crowd continues to cause cheers to rain into the ring, that quickly changes to the opposite end of the spectrum as The Shield's theme abruptly comes to a halt, causing a new theme to take it's place.




The theme of Bad News Barrett cuts off theme of the Shield to the displeasure of the audience. The entire audience begin to boo Bad News Barrett



Barrett rises from the ground on his podium as he laughs and smirks at the reaction he is getting. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are standing in the ring with a death stare across to Wade Barrett. Wade slams down his gavel multiple times.




[Wade Barrett]
Can I have some decorum please?!



[Wade Barrett]
Well well well...Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose reuniting once again...Standing in that ring, The Shield music blasting out loud going on and on about how dominant the shield once were.... Well I'm Afraid I've got some bad news!
 



[Wade Barrett]
Nobody cares about The Shield anymore, The only way that this could be any worse is if Seth Rollins was actually in that ring with you! And lets be honest, The Shield is by far from the most dominating group in XWL history, I was once part of and carried The Corre... A team that once dominated everybody in this company because of me! The Shield was nothing compared to the dominance I caused with The Corre. Yet you two are standing here bragging about being able to beat people in three on one attacks, While I dominated this company by myself. I didn't need anybody to help me get to the top of this company.  



[Wade Barrett]
But it's not all bad news for you two, for the first time in your lives you two are actually right about something! That ofcourse is the irrelevance of Seth Rollins. To be the weak link of a group including you two just goes to show how bad Seth Rollins really is! While you two may be standing there with championships, It will be short lived. Not only is Roman Reigns going to lose to that homeless looking bum Eric Young but You Dean Ambrose...are going to lose the World Title to a Drunken Redneck! The dominance you think you once had is long gone, and it will show at Dead Mans Hand.  



[Wade Barrett]
But you people don't have to worry..because it won't be long before one of them championships is in the hands of Wade Barrett and the Barrett Barrage!



Barrett once again slams down his gavel and raises his arms into the air with a smirk across his face. Dean Ambrose and Reigns share a look before looking over to Wade Barrett who continues to soak in the boo's from the audience. Breakdown then fades out to a video hyping a former United States Champion...Cesaro!

Breakdown returns and we are brought to ringside where a table is set up in the middle of the ring. We see Brock Lesnar sitting on one chair, and.. on the other.. John Lauranitis?

Meaning no one else can do what he can do. This makes him what we like to call in the back, a hot commodity. On August fourth, 2013 at XWL Supremacy Brock Lesnar conquered The Undertaker. He then left the XWL for two months to go compete in the UFC once again. So of course, when Vince McMahon took over the XWL the first task that he assigned me, was to do everything in my power to negotiate a contract with Brock to get him back into an XWL ring. I threw every offer that I had available at him, and after much negotiating we finally came to an agreement. On October 11th, 2013 I, John Laurantis, The Executive Vice President of Talent Relations signed Brock Lesnar to an XWL Contract.

The terms were simple. Brock Lesnar would only be obligated to compete at Pay Per View Events. He would be able to spend his time between Pay Per View's competing in the UFC. And last, but most importantly, Paul Heyman would be Brock Lesnar's manager. Those were the terms, those were the only three things that the XWL Board of Directors had to do… Well. As the official Spokesperson for the Board of Directors I want to publicly, and personally, apologize to Brock Lesnar..

The crowd's boos are almost deafening as Laurantis extends his hand. Brock thinks for a moment before standing up, looking Big Johnny right in the eye.

The crowd's boos begin to change to cheers, thinking that Lesnar might F-5 Lauranitis right there!!

Brock, on behalf of the Board of Directors I am not only personally apologizing to you, but I am also officially promising you that I will fix this mess that John Cena and The Ryback have put us in. Starting with getting Paul Heyman back by your side.

Any hope for an F-5 leaves the thousands in attendance minds as Lesnar begins to smile from ear to ear. The crowd lets out an ear piercing boo as Lesnar shakes Laurantis's hand!

Johnny, I mean this when I say it, I wouldn't be standing here right now if it weren't for you.

Had anyone else other than you approached me all those months ago, I would have told them to stick that contract where the sun don't shine, or I would have done it for them. But you looked at me the same way that Paul Heyman looks at me, I could see it in your eyes. You knew how impressive I was, you realized just how valuable I could really be to the XWL if used correctly. Because let's face it, when I left the XWL after Supremacy, it was because I wasn't being respected. I defeated The Undertaker. The Deadman. The Phenom. I conquered him. When you combine that with the fact that I'm the only former UFC, NCAA, and WWE Champion that walks this earth? Not to mention that I was being managed by the best in the business… Well, I should have been handed a World Title shot right then and there.

But that wasn't the case. So I left. I quit. Goodbye. See ya' later… But then Vince McMahon came into the picture. Things changed. Finally there was someone up top who knew what I was capable of first hand, finally there was someone who knew how valuable I really am.

John Lauranitis
That's right Brock. In the past I begged, pleaded even, for you, Brock Lesnar, the only former UFC, WWE, and NCAA Champion in the world, to be treated with the respect that you deserve. But time after time I was shot down, told that you were too unpredictable, told that you would never leave Heyman's side and that Paul was a poison to this company, heck, I was told that I should be putting my time into John Cena because he was a company man. But I didn't give up, I kept at it, and it wasn't until The McMahon's took over that I was finally heard.

John Lauranitis
Don't get me wrong, Vince wasn't pleased that you wanted Paul Heyman at his side, but he put his differences with your manager aside when he signed your contract seven months ago.

Brock Lesnar
And as we both know that contract you speak of, was set for seven months. Seven months from October 11th, 2013. Meaning that my contract is up in 8 days.

So Brock, if you'd please take a seat..

Laurantis sits down, motioning to the seat across from him. Brock looks at it for a moment before sitting down.

John Lauranitis
What is it that you want? What is it that will convince Brock Lesnar to sign another contract with the XWL? What is it that we can give you that will make you want to continue doing what you do here in an XWL ring? Because Brock, when it comes to the McMahon's there's no number too big, no demand too large, nothing is considered impossible when it comes to our COO. And I, John Lauranitis, The Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Spokesperson of the board of directors, have been giving the okay from Vince himself to accept anything that you, Brock Lesnar, the only former UFC, WWE, and NCAA champion…. want.. So Brock. Tell me, what is it that we can give you to convince to you stay here in the XWL?

Laurantis picks up a packet of papers sitting on the table.

John Lauranitis
Here is the proposed contract that the board of directors have put together for you..

Brock puts his feet on the table and stretches before picking up the piece of paper. He looks it over before picking up the mic.

Brock Lesnar
What is it that I want? What is it that will get me to stay? Well Johnny. The answer is easy really. I want Paul Heyman back as my manager. I want to have to personally okay each and every one of my Pay Per View Matches with a Contract Signing. I don't want to deal with Stephanie McMahon, I want all of my Breakdown matters to be handled by you personally. And… I want the World Heaveyweight Title.

Lesnar writes his proposed changes on the contract and hands it to Laurantis.

Initial away Johnny.

Lauranitis begins to squirm, clearly not comfortable with all of Lesnar's demands.



John Lauranitis
Well Brock. I can't just give you the World Title…

Brock shrugs his shoulders and begins to stand up.

Brock Lesnar
Well Dana White will be happy to hear that..

John Lauranitis
But! But! But… I can..

Lesnar pauses

John Lauranitis
See to it that you are put into the King of the Ring Tournament. After all the winner gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Title and there's no one on the roster who can defeat you, right?

Lesnar thinks for a moment before sitting back down. Laurantis writes that stipulation onto the contract before looking back up at Brock.

John Lauranitis
As far as these other changes to the contract goes..

Laurantis re-reads what Brock wrote on the contract

John Lauranitis
They look okay to me. All of your Breakdown matters will be dealt with by me instead of Stephanie McMahon, and all of your Pay Per View Matches will have to be okayed by you with a contract signing. And as promised, as soon as this contract is fully executed, I will personally see to it that Paul Heyman is reinstated as your manager.

Laurantis initials the changes and passes the paper over to Brock, who also initials. Big Johnny takes the contract and signs at the bottom before passing it back to Brock.

John Lauranitis
There we go. The changes have been accepted, I have signed on behalf of the XWL. Now all we need is for you to sign Brock.

Brock Lesnar
So what you're trying to tell me is that all I have to do is sign this.. what… Three month contract, and I'll have Paul Heyman back, a spot in the King of the Ring, the right to a contract signing for all of my pay per view matches, and have all of my Breakdown matters dealt with by you personally?



John Lauranitis
That's right. You sign that contract and the next three months will be all about you Brock, just like these past seven should have been!

Brock looks at the contract once more before picking up the pen. All of a sudden..



The crowd goes wild as Stephanie's theme hits. Lauranits cringes as he looks towards the stage.

I was wondering when the Breakdown General Manager would make an appearance.

Stephanie rushes out onto the stage, where she stands.

Cut the music… John, I've been very complaint with you and my father regarding Brock Lesnar, I've done everything that you've asked of me. Yet you still find the need to go behind my back, on my show??

John Lauranitis
Stephanie, I'm sorry but your father and I simply care about what's best for this company. And we both know that your hatred for Paul Heyman has gotten in the way of your decision making in the past, but don't let that happen here tonight, this contract signing is very important to your father.

Stephanie McMahon
And this show is very important to me! And for the record I don't hate Paul Heyman… I despise him!! He's the filth beneath my shoes, the gum under my desk, but I would never let my feelings for Paul effect how I treat my superstars.

And that also means that you Paul Heyman, have exactly ten seconds to leave this stage before I fine you for being out here on behalf of Brock Lesnar, when the contract that you signed for Goldberg's Final Stand defeat against The Ryback clearly states that you are not allowed to do so.

Stephanie, he's not just a former UFC Champion, he's the only former UFC, NCAA, and WWE Champion.. ever.

Yeah well tonight he's not in the UFC or the NCAA or the WWE, he's here in the XWL on my show. And tonight, he's going to be going one on one against a man who's been begging for a match against Brock. The man that you, rather the monster, that you put in a hospital bed back in the days of The Heyman Crew! That's right, The Big Red Monster, Kane!! And this Sunday, you will still be facing none other than John Cena!!

The crowd pops at the mention of the Cenation Leader

The crowd can hardly contain themselves as John Cena's music hits and he comes firing out of the curtains behind the stage and onto the ramp. Sprinting full speed towards the ring, Cena slows down his pace as he reaches the apron and slides in, underneath the bottom rope. Quickly up to his feet, Cena starts to pace around the ring, microphone in hand, as his music comes to a halt.

John Cena
What is going on here?!

Cena feigns a confused expression as he continues.



John Cena
There must be something in the waters here, because it sure looks like everyone is going crazy! First CM Punk is droning on and on about title reigns that never happened, and then something about a Nexus? I don't know, I couldn't keep up with all of the ranting and raving! And now, now Brock Lesnar here, thinks he's deserving of being your King of the Ring, not to mention that last week the man thought he was a woman, and then of course there's the forgetting about the match he practically begged me for. Maybe Paul wasn't kidding... Maybe Lesnar really does need him, but not to protect the rest of the roster from the monster that is Brock Lesnar, no, Lesnar needs Paul Heyman for another reason all together! And that reason is to clothe him, feed him, bathe him, tuck him up at night, change his diapers, and everything in between!

Lesnar looks to be losing his cool, but as he tries to get closer to Cena, Laurinaitis prevents him by holding out his arm and calming the beast back to his chair.

John Lauranitis
John, I can understand you're angry, but please refrain from these petty insults against Mr. Lesnar. Now, this contract signing is to decide the fate of Brock Lesnar, and Brock Lesnar alone, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave..

Stephanie McMahon
Let me just stop you right there, John.

John Cena

Stephanie McMahon

John Cena
Well now that's just confusing. How about we call him old, bitter John, and we call me, young, happy John?

Cena smiles and Stephanie stifles a smirk.

Stephanie McMahon
Well, old, bitter John, I'm afraid you don't have the authority to decide who can be in my ring on my show, so young, happy John, you stay right where you are, because I don't care what Brock Lesnar says, this match is happening, and this contract signing will make sure of it.

John Cena
But Stephanie, if this is going to be a contract signing, don't we need, you know, contracts to sign?

Stephanie McMahon
Funny you should ask that, John.

Cena coughs

Young, happy John.

Stephanie McMahon
How about we just go with Cena and Laurinaitis?

John Cena seems almost disappointed.

As for the contracts? I already have everything taken care of.

Stephanie lowers her microphone and turns her attention to the stage.



Everyone but Stephanie seems surprised as AJ Lee's music hits and she comes skipping down the ramp to the ring, skipping in a full circle around the ring before entering. As soon as she gets into the ring, she heads toward Stephanie McMahon and hands her official looking papers.

Thank you, AJ.

Stephanie takes the papers and rests one on the table in front of Brock Lesnar, leaving the other on the other side of the table for John Cena.

I'm afraid I don't have a chair for you Cena, so you'll have to stand.

Brock quickly reads over the contract before signing it

AJ Lee snatches Cena's microphone from his hands.

Hold on, hold on, hold on... Stephanie, don't get me wrong, I trust your judgement, but...

Don't you think this is a little unfair, John? I mean think about it, win or lose, Brock has that contract that not only guarantees he gets Paul Heyman back as his manager, but it also gives him the opportunity to compete in the King of the Ring tournament, which could result in a World Heavyweight Championship match... But what do you get John? You're being forced into this match, but you're given nothing in return.. Doesn't that seem a lttile, one sided to you?

Cena gently takes the microphone back from AJ.

John Cena
You make a great point, AJ, but honestly, after what this monster tried to do to you last week, I don't need any other reason to step into the ring and make him regret his decisions. Now I know that Dead Man's Hand is the payerperview known for its wheel of fate, but I don't even care about that, we could be fighting out on the streets, inside a steel cage, on the roof of the arena, hell, we could be having a pillow fight, I don't care, whatever the stipulation, I plan to walk out the winner, and if the authority decide to reward me, then so be it, and if not, I'm not going to whine about it, because watching Brock Lesnar squirm as my hand is raised in victory, well, that's all the reward I need. Hand me a pen.

Stephanie pulls a pen out of her jacket with the smirk from before back on her face, she hands it to Cena, who walks up to the table, and much to the dismay of AJ Lee, he signs the contract.

There we have it, at Dead Man's Hand, John Cena will meet Brock Lesnar in a match which will be decided on the night.

Brock Lesnar suddenly stands up, turning to Cena, he walks closer, but before reaching him, Lesnar holds out his hand.



The crowd boos, seeing through Brock Lesnar, Cena stares at the hand as AJ Lee attempts to convince Cena not to trust him, but Cena steps forward, he grabs Lesnar's arm, and attempts to pull him into an Attitude Adjustment, but Lesnar overpowers Cena and pull him back onto his shoulders. Cena struggles to free himself from Brock's grasp as the frantic AJ Lee is being held back by John Laurinaitis.



Stephanie and AJ can only watch on in horror as Brock steps towards the table, Cena still in his grasp, he smirks a villainous smirk before spinning Cena and hitting the F5 through the table in the ring! Cena lies a broken heap of mess in the middle of the splinters of wood, not moving as Laurinaitis releases his grip on AJ Lee, who throws herself down to the ground beside Cena, she holds his head in her arms as Brock Lesnar's music hits once more.



Still laughing at the destruction he's caused, Lesnar leaves the ring followed closely behind by Laurinitis as Stephanie kneels down beside AJ Lee to check on John Cena, we head to another commercial break.

Breakdown returns to the theme of one of XWL's newest acquisitions, Enzo Amore!! We are shown a video of him pinning The Ryback two weeks ago to secure him and Big Cass a spot on the XWL Roster, only to have Randy Orton punt Colin, taking the rookie out of action for the time being. We are then shown a replay of Kane taking Enzo by surprise backstage, both last week and the week before. The last thing we see is a replay from last week, Kane's figure standing behind Enzo and Cass only for it to disappear when the lights turn on and they turn around. We are then brought back to ringside where Enzo Amore is making his way out to the stage, mic in hand and Big Cass at his back.

My name is Enzo Amore, aka EA All Day!! And this is Colin Cassidy, aka Big Cass!! We're both bonafide G's and certified S-T-U-D's.

When I E-N-Z-Oed my XWL contract two weeks ago I expected to be competing against some of the toughest competitors around. But instead I've been put up against two pathetic little chicharoos who look like they belong in a bad high school metal band. Raven? Jimmy Jacobs? What kind of joke is this? You know what they do at metal concerts? They spit on their audience. And that's exactly what I'm going to do tonight to Jimmy Jacobs. Because I don't respect him, I sure don't like him, and I'm ashamed that Stephanie McMahon even thinks that that joke is on my level.

Jimmy Jacob's theme begins to play…. and play…… and play….. and play some more yet Jimmy Jacobs is no where to be seen!! The theme finally comes to a close.

Big Cass
Yeah bro! He's trying to hoodwink us, pull the curtains over our eyes.

Enzo scratches his head for a moment, thinking it over before shrugging his shoulders.

Big Cass and Enzo turn around, waiting for Jimmy to try to jump them from behind. They wait… and wait… and wait.. and wait some more..

So Stephanie figures that if she can'ts give Enzo a rematch against Raven, the next best thing would be the skinnier, less extreme, cowardly version of him? Well Jimmy I gots two words for ya', and it aint suck it…. .

Enzo's high pitched scream, followed by him stumbling to the corner of the ring where he trips and curls up into a ball is brought on by none other than…







The lights flickered, startling each member of the crowd, and then suddenly a gigantic pyro would shock everyone in attendance, leaving them shaken and somewhat silent.

PSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT!

The pyro exploded and as usual, darkness would follow. The entire arena was now enshrouded in a cloak of shadow. Normally the lights would come back up seconds later, but this seemed to stall for quite some time, we hear a quiet laugh beginning to build, it grows louder, and stronger, and more maniacal with every second that passes, and suddenly it stops! Without warning, without a fade out, it just stops... as abruptly, and as unexpectedly as it began. Then... the lights would return, or at least, in a way they did, however the daylight resembling brightness that once filled MSW with a safe, calm atmosphere was gone, it was replaced with a bloody glow and a horrible red tint that echoed pain. And then the first three, sinister tones of 'Veil Of Fire' began to play, sounding like a satanic church organ. DUNNN! ... DUNNNNN! ... DUNNNNNNN! The image of a sea of flames began to take over the titantron, many fans looked up in horror, others cheered at spectacle before them, and some just stay silent, shocked, and disgusted at the entrance of the seven foot monster. The camera ran up to get a good shot of the gigantic figure that now stood in confidence at the top of the ramp, a metallic, large, bulky mask covering his entire cranium and shielding his true veil of shadows underneath.



There he stood! The seven foot tall demon, hell bent on causing everyone as much pain as possible! He stood still... silent... waiting. For a few seconds, he just looked out into the sea of men and women that he didn't care for in the slightest, and as his music would kick in, he made a move. It was slow, but had somewhat of a hasty pace to it. He heaved his gigantic figure down the ramp, and to the very edge of the ring, where his head would raise slightly as he looked up to Michael Buffer. After climbing to the outskirts of the squared circle, he then pulled down the top rope and lifted both legs over with ease, entering himself into the ring. He stood there for a few moments, before raising his hands and withdrawing his welder-like mask, so that the entire world could look upon those eyes, filled with evil intentions, filled with pain, filled with Hellish power. He dropped his large mask to the outside and was quickly handed a microphone as he stared into the eyes of the two men before him, The Devil's Favourite Demon, smirks as he looks on at these weak creatures before him.

I will allow you to strike out at the demon, but I warn you, your strike better kill me. it better put me six foot under, because if it doesn’t, you know what happens next. I am dragging you down, straight to hell and even your idiotic mentally challenged friend there will not be enough to help you.




Enzo, back on his feet now, looks at Kane, then at Big Cass, who motions towards Kane and makes a fist, clearly egging Enzo on. The crowd is doing the same, chanting Enzo’s name, trying to convince him to hit The Monster.

Enzo looks like he is gaining confidence from the reassurance of the crowd and Big Cass.

ENZO
You want a piece of this bro? You want a piece of the S-A-W-F-T Punch?!?!

Big Cass
I’m warning you Kane, he may look small but he packs a big punch.

ENZO
My punch is spiked bro! One hit will make you stumble. Two hits will make you mumble, three will make you tumble, four will make you crumble, and then the last hit bro, is guaranteed to make you humble.

Kane takes a step towards Enzo, causing the little man to jump backwards. Kane says something to Amore that the camera can’t pick up.

Kane simply cocks his head, clearly not feeling the effects of the punches! Enzo connects with a punch to Kane’s guy, trying a different approach.

Hey! Kane said only one free shot!!

Kane begins to laugh. Enzo swings and connects with yet another punch to the jaw, which has the same effect on The Big Red Machine.. nothing.

Big Cass
F!!!!!!!!!!

Enzo winds up to deliver yet another punch but this time Kane grabs him by the throat.

Enzo better get out of that ring now! Not only does he have Kane angry, but the most dangerous competitor in the XWL is now on his way to the ring!!

The distraction was enough to allow Big Cass to pull Enzo away from Kane. The two quickly exit the ring and scramble into the crowd, trying to put as much distance between themselves and The Cage Fighting Carnivore.



Lesnar makes his way down the ramp, leaping up onto the apron, glaring at Kane the whole time. John Lauranitis walks out onto the stage to everyone’s surprise.

Ladies and Gentleman.. Kane.. My name is John Lauranitis and I am the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Spokesperson for the board of directors. Tonight I am out here on behalf of the soon to be manager of The Beast Incarnate, Paul Heyman… Kane, tonight you personally requested a match against Brock Lesnar with Stephanie McMahon, that… was a mistake. You see Brock wasn’t expecting to compete tonight, but thanks to Stephanie’s little power trip earlier now he has to. That makes Brock unhappy. You don’t want to be in the same ring as Brock when he’s unhappy.

So Kane, I’m sorry that I had to interrupt your little, well, whatever it was you and Enzo were doing out here, but Brock Lesnar is in a hurry to simply get this match over with so as the Spokesperson of the board of directors I’m officially making Kane versus Enzo Amore a match for Dead Man’s Hand so that you two can settle your differences then as opposed to on Brock Lesnar’s time, because Brock’s time is very valuable.. So Kane, that work for you?

Kane raises his arms and drops them as Pyro shoots out from the corners of the ring.

I’ll take that as a yes.. And Enzo. That work for you? Do you want to face Kane this Sunday at Dead Man’s Hand?

Lauranits looks up into the crowd where Enzo and Cass are standing. Enzo’s mic was dropped in the scuffle earlier but Cass raises his despite Enzo clearly shaking his head no.

I likes the sounds of that!! Kane, you’ll have a better chance eating soup with a fork then beating my bro Enzo this Sunday!!

Enzo angrily looks up at Cass not believing what he heard, Cass looks at Amore innocently, not knowing what he did wrong.

Well then it’s official. So now that we’re done wasting time. Ref. Ring the bell.

The bell rings and Lesnar takes Kane, who is still looking at the stage, down with an elbow to the back of the head!!



Kane wanted revenge for Lesnar almost breaking his arm two months ago, but tonight would not be the night he gets it!!! Power move after power move, Lesnar showed the XWL Universe exactly why he is the only former UFC, NCAA, and WWE Champion in the world. Lesnar has yet to be pinned since he made his return 7 months ago, and tonight was no different as Lesnar sealed  the deal with an F-5..1..2…3, This one is over!! Had Kane been up against anyone else the results might have been totally different, however he requested to be up against The Cage Fighting Conqueror, and he paid the price.



Lesnar celebrates his win before beginning to make his way out of the ring. All of a sudden he stops and looks back at Kane.

Lesnar reenters the ring, intent on hurting Kane some more. All of a sudden the lights go out for a few moments, and when they return Kane is gone and in his place is Big Cass!! Enzo is still in the crowd, he looks around, clearly confused as to where Cass is and how he got down there. Lesnar shrugs, clearly not caring who his victim is, as long as he can hurt him!! He locks on the Kimura and snap!! The crowd cringes as Lesnar shows everyone the consequences of separating The Beast from Paul Heyman. Brock finally lets go when an array of medical and security staff storm the ring. Lesnar leaves as Enzo rushes down from the crowd to aid the medical team with Cass. Tonight Kane and Big Cass were the victims of The Cage Fighting Conqueror, this Sunday thanks to Stephanie McMahon wanting to play who’s is bigger with Big Johnny, Cena could possibly suffer the same fate. Amazing Red was able to survive his matches with Brock by using his unnatural speed to evade Brock's onslaugh, however tonight Kane showed what happens when you try to go toe to toe with The former UFC Champ. Cena is going to have to think of something if he wishes to survive this Sunday, because we all know that he's no where near as fast as Red!! Lesnar stops at the stage to amire his handy work. We then go to a commercial break.
