John Morrison gets to the top of the ladder and unhooks the Intercontinental Championship! He retains after a hard fought battle against Seth Rollins. The crowd lets out a huge ovation as John Morrison holds the title up high. You can see the pain in John Morrison's face, the crashing into the barricade, the superkicks, and the strikes with the ladder really did a number on him.



The Intercontinental Champion drops down to the ground and scrambles into the corner as Lillian Garcia announces the winner of the bout.



[Lillian Garcia]: Here is your winner and STILL the Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison.

The champ steps up on the turnbuckle and poses with his championship as the crowd applauds him, two grueling battles in a row and John Morrison still stands as the Intercontinental Champion. John Morrison drops down from the turnbuckle and heads back over to the ladder. He puts his hand on it and looks around at the crowd as they chant "Morrison! Morrison!". He climbs the ladder slowly and reaches the top. He takes a seat at the top and looks down at his championship that he rightfully earned. JoMo holds his title up high as the crowd cheers and some even take pictures. The camera fades with John Morrison sitting up top, probably thinking that his night is far from over.

*Following a short commercial break, Redemption resumes with the sound of Chris Jericho's music beginning to play.*



*The World Heavyweight Champion appears at the top of the ramp wearing a classy suit with his title worn proudly over his shoulder. The crowd give Jericho a standing ovation as he begins his descent down the ramp.*

Welcome back to Redemption folks! And it appears that now is the time for Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel.

[Michael Cole]
I think that's pretty obvious. The Jeritron is all set up in the ring!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
There's always fireworks on the Highlight Reel and after what we saw last night between Jericho and Ziggler, I don't think this episode is going to be any different.



[Jim Ross]
For those of you who happened to miss Dead Man's Hand, Jericho retained his World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose with an assist from the Show Off! Jericho didn't notice it at the time but was furious to say the least upon seeing the replay.

[Michael Cole]
Jericho should appreciate the helping hand! He's so ungrateful!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Ungrateful? Jericho wanted to win that match on his own and he warned Ziggler earlier in the night that he wanted Dean to himself. Dolph just couldn't bear to be out of the spotlight so he stuck his nose where it didn't belong!

[Michael Cole]
I don't understand all this negativity! The good guy beat the bad guy... who cares how he won? Personally I would have liked to have seen Dean Ambrose as champion, but he and Jericho put on an outstanding match last night so I'm not opposed to Jericho as champion either. But he needs an attitude adjustment that's for sure! Dolph Ziggler was just trying to help him out!



[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
I just think Ziggler was jealous of Ambrose and Jericho getting all the attention. He couldn't stand sitting in the back while the two of them competed in the main event for the title, something which he wants SO badly. He's like a spoilt child so had to ruin it for everyone by tarnishing the ending.

[Jim Ross]
Whatever your opinion of last night's main event, the fact remains that Chris Jericho is still champion. One could argue Jericho still would have won without the assist but it's something we will never know and it's now in the past. If I know Chris Jericho as well as I think I do, he'll be upset at the nature of his victory but glad that he's still the top dog in this company as he feels that it's his birthright to be the best that there is.

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
You're probably right JR. It'll be interesting to hear what both Jericho and Ziggler have to say to one another. This is something you definitely don't want to miss.

*Jericho is now in the ring surrounded by his Highlight Reel furniture. As his music dies down, the customary chants of "Y2J!" begin to rise up from the ranks of the XWL Universe. Jericho flashes a brief grin, before raising his microphone upwards to speak.*

WELCOME TO... REDEMPTION... IS... JERICHOOOOO!

*The crowd cheers in a big way and the chants increase in volume.*



[Chris Jericho]
And tonight in Phoenix, Arizona... you're all in for a treat. Not only is this a Supershow... Not only is every championship on the line... All of that is a bonus. Because right now you are all about to bare witness to the single, most entertaining, most interesting and downright greatest talk show in sports-entertainment history. Of course, I'm talking about The Highlight Reel!

*The crowd cheers even louder.*



[Chris Jericho]
Now, before I bring NoodleHead out here, I just want to refresh your memories a bit and allow those of you who missed out on Dead Man's Hand to catch up on exactly what happened last night. So if you could all divert your attention to the obscenely expensive Jeritron 6000 here - which now has High Definition capabilities AND a rewind function... Okay... Monkies! Roll the footage!

*A video begins to play...*

*As Dean screams out in agony, Jericho continues to apply torque and screams "Ask him!" at the official. Ambrose doesn't give in however, as the World title means that much to him. There is a strange adjustment in the crowd noise for some reason. It's revealed that Dolph Ziggler has made his way to ringside, but he is unnoticed by both Jericho, Ambrose and the official as he retrieves the World title and crouches down by the apron, out of view.*

[Jim Ross]
That's... that's Dolph Ziggler! What business does he have out here? And why does he have Jericho's World title?

*Jericho is clearly exhausted, having expended most of his energy on the Liontamer hold, and Ambrose is finally able to spin out of it, knocking Jericho into the ropes where he leans on them to regain his composure. Dean crawls to the opposite side and begins to use them for support to get to his feet... WHACK! Ziggler clocks Ambrose right between the eyes with the World title!*

[Michael Cole]
What the? He just hit Ambrose with the title!

*Dean's eyes are glazed over and he's clearly in la-la land as he staggers into the middle of the ring, right into a CODEBREAKER! Jericho covers him...*

*The crowd erupts into a frenzy of cheers and applause as one of their favorites picks up another win and another title defense. Jericho at this point doesn't celebrate his win, but instead looks down at the defeated Ambrose with a look of pure hatred and disgust as the images of what has happened between them both over the past month flash through his mind.*



[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
What a great match that was...minus the ending!

[Jim Ross]
You're right King. These two men gave it their all. The hatred between the two was on show for all to see in this one. You have to give Dolph Ziggler the assist, but a win is a win. The record books will show this as yet another Jericho win in a big match situation and yet another title defense.

[Michael Cole]
Dolph Ziggler said earlier tonight that everyone would be talking about him once this night was over... and he was right!

*Jericho rises to his feet and finally a grin flashes across his face as his arm is raised in victory.*



*The crowd shower him in appreciation as Ziggler enters the ring with the World title in hand. Jericho appears surprised to see Ziggler there and demands that he hands over his title. Ziggler looks at it long and hard before reluctantly handing it over to Jericho and he raises his arm in a show of respect at the champion's efforts as he joins in the celebration.*

[Michael Cole]
What a show of sportsmanship by Dolph Ziggler! And people say that man has no class!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
I thought things were about to head south for a moment. Ziggler seemed awfully reluctant to hand over that title.

*A highlight video showcasing key points throughout the match begins to play, from the Codebreaker out of nowhere, to the Midnight Special through the table, to the controversial ending. Upon it's conclusion, the pleasant atmosphere in the ring has broken down. Now that Jericho has seen how the match ended, he is clearly pissed off.*

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
Uh-oh! Jericho looks none too happy about Ziggler's interference!

*Jericho gets right in Ziggler's face*

[Chris Jericho]
What the hell was that Dolph? I told you Dean was mine tonight!

*Jericho shoves Ziggler hard in the chest. A loud "Ohhhhh!" rises up from the fans. Ziggler sarcastically smirks and shakes his head before returning the gesture, shoving Jericho back just as hard. Another "Ohhhh!" can be heard. The official scarpers knowing that things could break down at any moment. Jericho takes a few deep breaths before...*



*CODEBREAKER!*

*The crowd go wild as Jericho hits his signature move out of nowhere on the Show Off who slumps to the mat in a heap next to Ambrose. Jericho flashes another grin as he retrieves his title from the canvas and begins his exit as his music plays once again.*

*As the video concludes, Jericho shakes his head before raising his mic once again...*

Ok, now that we're all up to speed... I just want to express my feelings about what happened last night. Ok, Dolph Ziggler hates Dean Ambrose just as much as I do, and with good reason... But what gives him the right to stick his nose where it doesn't belong? Dolph, over the past couple of months, I've helped you out. I've motivated you. I've lit a fire under you which has started this hot streak you're on. We've had some kind of a connection... an understanding. And a mutual hatred of Dean Ambrose. But by no means does that give you the right to get involved in MY business. Who the hell do you think you are Dolph? What-





*Jericho is cut off by the sound of Ziggler's music beginning to play as he makes his arrival known. Jericho looks towards the entrance ramp with a look of disdain as the bleached blonde Show Off emerges from the back. He has a microphone in his hand as he begins to speak as he makes his way down the ramp.*



[Dolph Ziggler]
Alright.. Alright.. Cut the music. Pardon the interruption, Chris. I just got kinda tired of you going on and on about how you "motivated" me and stuff like that.. Cut the crap acting like the good Samaritan sucking up to the fans, just look at yourself!

*The fans boo Dolph as he walks up the steps with a cocky smirk as Jericho watches on with a glare. He steps into the ring.*



[Dolph Ziggler]
I thought you were above all of this Chris, pandering to the fans, acting like some hero to these people, you've become the same kind of person you would berate in the past. And I'm just shocked that a veteran like yourself would talk about how you formed some connection or mutual understanding with another wrestler. There's one rule that everybody is told when they get started in this business and that's not to trust anybody. That's not some catchphrase that Stone Cold Steve Austin spouts off on one of his monthly appearances. It's the truth. Nobody's in this business to make friends, Chris. Everybody's in this business for what's on your shoulder right now. And I thought a savvy smart wrestler like yourself actually would've expected what I did but no, I played you like a fool. I did what I set out to do, what I told Alex Shelley was that by the end of the Pay Per View everyone would be talking about one man and one man only, and that's me. It worked. I went to the most extreme measures to get to the World Heavyweight Championship and look! Here I am. Why wouldn't I want to get involved in the Champ's business? Dean Ambrose isn't in the equation anymore, he's gone back to the slums where he belongs. You may think you've lit a fire under me but this motivated Dolph Ziggler huh? Be careful what you wish for because this "Motivated" Dolph Ziggler isn't going to stop until he takes your World Championship.

Don't act like you've never been in this position before, the young, hungry guy who people believe should be World Champ. So you do anything in your power to get that recognition from the champ himself. The simple reason why I helped you win at the Pay Per View was because quite frankly I want to be the man to take the title from you, Dean Ambrose didn't deserve that opportunity. I want to be the one to knock Chris Jericho off his pedestal and I'm going to be the one to do it.



[Chris Jericho]
You're right Dolph... I have been in your position before. But I've also been in the position I'm in right now before. As a matter of fact, I've lost track of how many times I've heard almost the exact same things you just said; about how you're going to take the World title away from me, and how you won't stop until you do. Trust me Dolph, I know how it feels to want a championship opportunity so badly, that you'd be willing to do whatever it takes to earn it. But you're punching well above your weight when you decide to mess in my business, kid. Maybe someday you'll reach the heights that you have the potential to reach, but right now it's obvious to me that you're just desperate for the spotlight and some attention after being embarrassed and humiliated week after week by Dean Ambrose and his Men Of Honor. Now that Dean's out of the picture, you're afraid of sinking away into irrelevancy. You shot yourself in the foot when you gave Dean that concussion because let's face it at least when you were his whipping boy you still had a reason to be on this show right?

*A loud "Ohhhh!" rises up from the fans. Jericho smirks*

The difference between you and I Dolph, is that I don't have to stand here and toot my own horn anymore to build up my own self-confidence whether I believe it or not. I've proven over the years that I am the best in the world. These people believe it. Everybody in the back believes it. I just AM it. I believe that I am the best in the world with every fiber of my being and my countless accolades and this World Heavyweight Championship prove that. What makes you any different to anybody else who has staked a claim to my title? What makes you different Dolph? I asked you that very same question last night at Dead Man's Hand, and you replied that it's because you give 110% and that people always remember how Dolph Ziggler stole the show. Well, Dolph... if you've been giving 110% for the past couple of months, forgive me for not quaking in my boots when I stand across the ring from you. Your 110% means nothing... it took the wisdom and the guidance of someone like me to set you on the right path. You should be thanking me, not disrespecting me like you are now. I suggest you-

*Dolph cuts Jericho off as he's heard enough.*



[Dolph Ziggler]
Oh you wanna know what makes me different? You wanna know what sets me apart from everyone else Chris?! I don't see anyone else having the balls to interrupt a Pay Per View World Championship MAIN EVENT to prove a point. What else do I have to do Chris? I've beaten everyone who has faced me in the past month, I've openly talked about how I deserve a shot and I helped you win a match you wouldn't have won in the first place to get the message across that I'm willing to do what it takes. Don't try and act like Dean Ambrose being out of the picture is a negative thing because I'm the one who took him out of the picture in the first place. Dean Ambrose is sitting in a hospital bed while I'm 100% healthy looking eye to eye with the World Champion so you may call me Dean Ambroses' whipping boy but I know I'm the winner of that war. And if hospitalizing a man and making the biggest impact of the whole Pay Per View isn't giving 110% then I don't know what is. You said you don't have to stand there and toot your own horn anymore yet here you are dragging on about how you're so wise and the guidance from "someone like you" changed me. You're nothing more than a hypocrite nowadays.



[Dolph Ziggler]
But.. I don't know.. Maybe I've got this all mixed up, maybe I've done this the wrong way. Looking at it now, I probably should've just let Dean Ambrose humiliate you and beat you himself. And then I could've challenged a World Champion who wasn't a washed up 40 year old in the center of a mid life crisis attempting to gain the glory days by pandering to everyone with old boring catchphrases again..



*Dolph shrugs his shoulders and looks to the camera as the fans can be heard with yet another round of "Ohhhh!"*



[Chris Jericho]
I see what you're trying to do Dolph. You're trying to rile me. You're trying to anger me and get under my skin. You're trying to throw me off my game and leave me vulnerable so you can somehow worm your way into a World title shot and steal the title away from me with your mind games. But that's not going to happen Dolph. Mind games don't work on me, and you want to know why? It's because I've experienced the best mind games this business has to offer throughout my long and illustrious career. If you think standing there and insulting me, my age and the bond I have with my Jerichoholics is going to work in your favour you're sadly mistaken.



[Chris Jericho]
But I am going to grant you a shot at my World title. In fact, I've already talked to Vickie Guerrero earlier tonight. Vickie doesn't agree with the way you ruined the main event at Dead Man's Hand so she was more than happy to grant my request to get my hands on you. I personally requested that the match be made a World Heavyweight Championship match just so I can show you how it feels to compete in the big leagues. You're in for a harsh reality check Dolph. Because I can tell you don't have what it takes to handle a high pressure situation or a match of the caliber you're going to experience when you set foot inside the ring with me.



[Chris Jericho]
Now I can see that snide smirk of yours, but don't get ahead of yourself kid. I have a title defense tonight against John Morrison. It's a formality that I will be walking out as the victor, and then at Unforgiven Dolph, it will be just you and I, one-on-one for the World Heavyweight Championship. Congratulations, you have what you want. But you have the monumental task of unseating the single greatest competitor to ever grace this ring from the top of this business.



[Chris Jericho]
I want you to prepare as hard as you possibly can Dolph, because come Unforgiven, if you don't, the embarrassment and the humiliation you experience will be magnified beyond belief. All of these insults, all of these jokes, these lies... your "hot streak"... will count for nothing. You need to think about damage control Dolph, about how you're still going to call yourself the Show Off when you're shown up to be the fraud that you truly are. Because once I am through with you, you will never... ever... be the same... again...

*The fans burst into cheers at Jericho's catchphrase to finish what he has to say, they now start to chant "Y2J!" over and over as Dolph looks on thinking of what Jericho has had to say.*



[Dolph Ziggler]
That's all I've ever wanted, Chris. A one on one World Title match, you can bank on it when I say I'm going to make the most of my opportunity.. Just like I'm going to make the most of this!-

*Suddenly an angered Dolph lunges at Jericho! He tries to hit Jericho with his microphone in a rage but Jericho ducks it and then drills Dolph with a codebreaker! On impact Dolph is out on his feet and then Jericho clotheslines him out of the ring at full force making Dolph hit the mat outside as the fans burst into cheers for Jericho again.*





*Jericho picks up his World Title with a smile and shouts "Not tonight, Junior!" as he puts it back on his shoulder. The camera pans back to Dolph who is out on the mat at ringside as the commentators assess the situation.*

[Jim Ross]
Well folks, I don't know about you but it looks like Chris Jericho is always one step ahead from Dolph Ziggler!

[Michael Cole]
You just know the way this Highlight Reel ended up is going to make Dolph even more frustrated, I don't think he can handle Chris Jericho's criticism heading into the biggest match of his career!

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
You can really see the experience difference between these two men, while Dolph is the hungry challenger I'm not sure if he's bitten off more than he can chew, but I guess we're gonna have to find out at Unforgiven!

[Jim Ross]
Well the real question is which champion will Dolph Ziggler be facing at Unforgiven? We could be looking at Chris Jericho vs Dolph Ziggler or John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler,

[Jerry "The King" Lawler]
All I know is no matter who wins tonight, it's going to be a hell of a match!

*The last sight we see before we head to a video package is a proud Chris Jericho posing with his Title as Dolph is still on the ground outside.*

An electric audience are made to wait with anticipation as the titantron goes black and a booming voice can be heard talking over.

”Excuse me there Mike, errrm Miz, I can clearly see that your busy here but I could really do with just two minutes of your time to clear up a few rumours and false statements floating around the XWL universe and media at the moment”



Mike Mizanin
Come on don’t be shy it’s me? I won’t hurt you. Your names not Chris Sabin right?

The Miz chuckles to himself and ushers the man closer

Mike Mizanin
So what is it you want with me good sir? Is that camera rolling by the way? I hope so, now we can share with the world just what it’s like to receive the haircut of a true star. So please, continue i’ll answer anything you have to ask.

"Well there is the obvious questions we would like to know like where have you been this past month? Why attack Chris Sabin? Your thoughts on loosing in yet another big title event? But I think I’m going to start with the more subtle questions and just clear up a few rumours that have been floating around the media at the moment. Firstly, is it true that you were fired from XWL for failing to capitalise on the IC shot given to you by Vickie? And therefore that attack on Chris Sabin has called for action from the police and you’re soon to be arrested?"

Mike Mizanin
Arrrr, the media never fails to amuse me, you my friend are what I like to call, an b[]idiot[/b]. Why would I be fired? Have you not seen just how much the ratings have dropped since I’ve been gone? I make XWL what it is today, I bring about a new era with me when I wrestle, no company in this world could turn back on somebody like me. I’m as close to a printing money machine as one human being can possibly be. So no you idiot I wasn’t fired which makes your other question nearly as stupid as you. Do you and your little resources honestly believe I would break the law? The only thing I intend on breaking is Chris Sabin’s leg because quite frankly I don’t think I went far enough last night. So no I am not going to be arrested, I am not fired and as a matter of fact I will be back and competing next week.

"Oh, right ok got it. So you say next week you will be back in the ring? So tell everybody who’s just as eager as I am to know, why the 5 week break? You say that you’re the spine of this company so why walk out on it without any regards to the consequences? Was it for more money when you return? More fame?"

Well, let’s take a short trip back into the previous few months shall we? Remember when I lost to Chris Jericho back in November and everybody called me a nobody and I was way out of my depth, well maybe some of them were right. Wrong, that’s what I started to believe. You will never reach your goals if you doubt yourself in any way, so I took a short vacation, took out some time to relax and forget about all the worries and troubles I had. And it worked didn’t it? I came back and I went unbeaten up until Final Stand, now that’s an impressive record am I right? So considering I have only lost once since then and people thought they would get on my back for loosing and saying I can’t cope under pressure not only did I want to give them the time to think and wonder what had happened to me, but again I took a vacation. Get away from it all, it worked last time so I’m fully confident that it will work again, and next week I’m going to show you all that it has worked when I once again start building my way back up to competing for titles. And consequences you just said right? What consequences, there are no consequences when you’re as valuable as me, I could take 5 years out never mind 5 weeks and Hogan and Vickie would have me booked without a second thought, I’m as good as I am because I believe in myself when nobody else does. So whenever I have a little doubt I fix it and come back stronger which is what I have done. You will all see soon enough, and more money? More fame? Well the answer to that again is a big fat no. Mainly because I don’t think you can get much more fame and fortune than I already have, I mean look at me? I’m having my haircut while having an interview for the biggest wrestling company in the world. This interview alone is probably worth millions of dollars and I’m sat here having my hair cut, thats all that needs to be said on that front.



”This rumour has been circling for some time now and before we get any further I just have to get it out of the way. Please don’t take offence to this Mike, but is it true you had to sleep with Vickie Gurrero in order to get your title shot at Final Stand?”

Mike Mizanin
WHAT!? Are you crazy? I don’t believe in animal cruelty especially when it comes to sleeping with whales! But you must be the worst interviewer ever, are you even a worker for XWL? Because you should be fired. Not only is that thought sickening and stuck in my head forever, but any worker of XWL knows that I have paid my dues a number of times for this company and I fully deserved my chance at Final Stand and like I said earlier, I was undefeated, you can only ignore that for so long until everybody worldwide wants to see that superstar challenging for the gold.

”Again I’m sorry I just had to clarify that. So now we have the serious questions to answer too. The one everybody wants to know, which is simple. Why Chris Sabin? Why attack him as he celebrated with his partner on his United States championship victory?”



Mike Mizanin
It seems to me like the answer is as simple as the question. But as you have demonstrated on numerous occasions in this interview that you are most certainly not the brightest bulb in the box I will break it down and explain. Chris Sabin is everything wrong with XWL right now, he is a symbol of what a superstar should not be like and I couldn’t take it any longer. I was a million miles away from the guy but when I watched XWL from my hot tub he made my blood boil hotter than the water I was in. And let me tell you why. Chris Sabin is a man who constantly needs somebody by his side, he always needs that little bit of help from his buddy Alex Shelly, he can’t do anything on his own yet the audience and the fans at home probably know what he had for breakfast last month because their heads are always so far up his ass. They idolize a weak superstar, they want to be like a guy who has made up his own title because he can’t win one on his own. And if that’s not sad enough he brings back has been superstars from the past, digs them out of there coffins and defends them? And acts proud like it’s an honest achievement? I don’t see why nobody else stopped him before which is why I decided to come back now and stop this mockery before it was too late, he’s not only giving this company a bad name but the whole industry of wrestling as a profession. Now his little butt buddy Alex Shelly is just as bad, the only difference is he proved to be slightly worthy in the ring when he beat Wade Barrett and won the United States championship which is why I let him go this time and why I am now fully concentrated on getting rid of the constant thorn in the side of this company which is Chris Sabin.

It truly frustrates me to my core in how he has been allowed to prance around this business for this long, even given precious mic time which somebody like me could use! Most of the time he’s not even serious about this business he just takes it all as a joke. So I do hope when he’s able to walk he does come back and retaliate, because he doesn’t know who he’s messing with, I picked this fight knowing that it’s going to be a walk in the park with you. So I hope all of the motor city machine gun fanatics out there are listened, because I have a message for all of you, including you Alex Shelly, don’t think I didn’t hear what you had to say about me earlier tonight, you’re a lucky man in my eyes, if you was foolish enough to believe that you could get redemption for your friend then you also were wrong in so many ways, because I dare you to even try. You will not only be put in the same position as Chris is right now but you will most likely be titleless as well and then this little title reign of yours now will be just as significant as your tag belts are. So as I was saying, I have a message for you all so listen carefully. You can all get use to not seeing Chris on your TV screens or out in the ring because I plan on permanently ridding him from this company, I plan on showing him just what it takes to be a superstar and not a joke. I even plan on wiping my ass on those Ersatz titles of yours before burning them along with your future as an XWL superstar. *As the theme song of the “Dashingly Insane” Cody Rhodes hits the arena, a chorus of boos from the fans follow as always. Cody makes his way out to the stage and removes his hood, gazing upon the arena with a smirk on his face. Of course, that’s because he finally beat Ted DiBiase last week at Dead Man’s Hand.*



Michael Cole: And there he is! Our savior!

Jerry “the King” Lawler: Oh please! He got lucky when Ted crashed head first into out table.

Michael Cole: We both know Ted was busted open when Cody threw him into the ring post! Stop making excuses for him! We already know Ted will do that himself.

Jim Ross: Well, no matter which way you look at it, Cody got the job done last week.

*Cody continues to march down the ramp with the devious smirk on his face. He comes across a young fan with a DiBiase Posse sign in the front row and stops. The boy holds the sign up proud as Cody cracks a smile. Suddenly, that all changes with a snare as Cody rips the sign from his hands and tears it apart! He mocks the fan before heading into the ring.*



Michael Cole: It was a stupid sign anyway.

*Cody calls for a microphone and begins to speak, or tries to against the noisy crowd.*

ATTENTION PLEASE.

*The jeers get even louder.*

For the past ten months I’ve been talking a lot about beating Ted DiBiase . I came out here week after week vowing to beat him. Most people would say it was just talk. They would come up to me and have the audacity to claim I couldn’t beat Ted. That I would never beat Ted. I proved them all wrong last week. Ted DiBiase was laying over there on the floor in a pool of his own blood once again with me standing tall above him. And as Ted was laying there a bloody mess, you were all forced to helplessly watch the referee raise my hand and listen to Justin Roberts announce me as the winner of the match. I had finally done it. I had finally beaten Ted DiBiase. I proved each and every single one of you that I was the better man. That you were worshiping a false idol. I should have felt vindicated... but I didn’t.



[Cody Rhodes]
I just couldn’t figure out why. I had accomplished what I set out to do almost a year ago. I was on my way here in my private jet, yes I still have that, when it hit me. I realized I wanted to do more than just beat him. I needed to do more. I had to end him. The fact is what I did to him at Dead Man’s Hand is simply just not enough. We’ve already seen that making him bleed does not do enough to keep him down. I have to destroy him. I have to pick apart and destroy, dissect every single part of him. I need to be sure that when I knock him down, he won’t get back up. Because as long as he’s still walking around here you people, you sheep, will continue to idolize him. You will continue to act like he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I can’t allow that.

[Cody Rhodes]
My mission of saving this company, and all of you people, will never be complete with him around. I have come so close in the past to achieving my goal. Just last year at Final Stand IV I was FINGERTIPS away from taking control of Breakdown. A year ago I would have that would be enough. I thought just having the control and power would be enough to save everything. Now, however, I realize I was wrong and foolish. A couple of papers saying I’m the General Manager of Breakdown means nothing. I may be making the orders, but someone like Ted would not follow them. He would break them, do whatever he wants, and you people would love every single second of it! Ted and everyone else in the back would do whatever they wanted and everything I had worked so hard for would have been done in vain. So I need to take it a step further.





[Cody Rhodes]
I need to make sure all of the people who represent the things that are wrong with this company are eliminated. I started this last year with Zack Ryder. He was my first target, my practice if you will. Zack was nothing more than a nuisance and joke. He was a laughing stock, represented this company poorly, a terrible role model, and yet still all you people loved him. He was the perfect target for me. So last year at Bad Blood my plan was set into action when I attacked him. Everything was going so well as I destroyed him week in and week out, but that was ruined when he got a lucky win over me at Unforgiven. I know my plan was never going to work unless I took him out. So that’s exactly what I did. When the time came at Digital Decision in the Bull Rope match, I did what I had to do and I ended Ryder. When was the last you heard of Zack? Yeah, it’s been a real long time... and that ‘s what I need to do to Ted DiBiase.

[Cody Rhodes]
I admit, Ted has been much more of a challenge than Ryder. He’s been putting up a fight. However, I am prepared to rise up to the challenge once more and fight. I need to be the one who takes all of the scum out of this company. Nobody else will, so I will. I can no longer allow people like Ted to wander around doing whatever the hell he wants without consequences. What I did at Dead Man’s Hand was only the beginning. The beginning of a new era. The Cody Rhodes Era! The era of enlightenment and learning. This company and all of you people will become enriched by the Cody Rhodes Era. All you people need to do is accept the fact Ted DiBiase is no man to idolize, or I will take him out myself. Pick either one you want, because the only thing I like doing more the saving is kicking Ted’s ass.


*Suddenly after Cody's last statement, the booing fans immediately are silenced by the sound of Ted DiBiase's theme blasting throughout the P.A.*



*Cody lowers his microphone, almost as if he expected Ted to make his presence, especially after beating defeated by him last night.*




*Ted wastes no time in walking out from behind the curtain, he's geared up and ready for his match in just a little bit against his once bitter rival Wade Barrett, but now stands on the ramp staring all the way down to the ring at perhaps the man he's most hated of everyone he's come across.*

Kicking my ass, huh? You know at this point I don't know if you're actually this stupid, or if it's some kind of act to throw me off my game, because no man can be delusional as you are. I've said it before, you're not a savior, no one is looking to you in their hour of need, and last night sure as hell didn't prove everything you think it did. Don't get it twisted, I'm not out here to make any excuses, you made me bleed, maybe not by your own power, but I supposed your cowardliness finally paid off, because once this noggin' hit that announce table it was all over for me. But you're right about one thing in the midst of all your psychobabble nonsense, there's one thing that we can agree on. This is only just the beginning, don't think we're finished, not by a long shot my crazy compadre.




{Ted DiBiase}
Don't think I've forgotten for even a moment what you did last month when you made your "grand" return at my expense, and my families' innocence. You took something from them that I can never get back, no matter how much I punch that smug look off of your face, no matter how disfigured you'll be when this is all said and done, they'll still remember the night that scarred them forever. Your beef is with me, so consider this a fair warning for the future, you come near my wife or my son, if you so much as say either of their names, I don't care what the consequences will be, I will end you.



{Ted DiBiase}
You picked the wrong time to become my worst enemy because the guy I am now? He just doesn't give a damn when it comes to what he has to do to continue living his life long dream. If that entails becoming exactly what you paint me out to be, this creature of the black lagoon that's evil to the core and as dangerous as they come...then I guess you'll be responsible for creating a real life monster that WON'T be stopped.



[Cody Rhodes]
Oh, Ted. You and your hollow threats. I like how you can stand there up on your high horse making these threats to me even after I beat you on Sunday. I guess some people just never learn their lesson, do they? Now, you want to call me delusional? Say I’m out of my mind? I’m sorry, but I don’t think your head's on straight, I’m not delusional, I’m insane; “Dashingly Insane” of course! Do you know what else I am? I’m the Savior of XWL, even if you refuse to accept it. You know, I’m glad you brought up your family’s innocence. You want to say I’m the reason for why they lost it... well, look in a mirror. You barely keep yourself above being a barbarian with the way your carry yourself nowadays, what kind of a father figure is that to look up to for Tate? I understand if you feed yourself these lies to keep your ego intact due to your insecurities, but are you really going to feed this garbage to your fans? Your family?

*Cody begins to cackle as he notices the anger on DiBiase’s face.*

Hold up just one second, MY insecurities? Coming from the nut job trying to get everyone to buy him as the savior of everything ever. Now I told you to leave my family out of this, they have nothing to do with what you have against me, my son when he's old enough will be able to take great solace in the fact that his old man didn't back down when things got tough, he never ran away once with his tail between his legs like every grown ass man back there does, and like you've always done. I didn't fight for four long, miserable, excruciating, spirit crushing, and heart wrenching months just to be anybody's victim. Especially not yours, you didn't defeat me Sunday, you made me bleed, you got lucky, the wheel landed on First Blood, or so you say it did, since there was never any proof in the matter...

But that's all it was, luck. Now when you keep me down for a count of three? Or you somehow someway find a way to make my stubborn ass tap out? Then and ONLY then will you have your oh so desired reason to brag, but until then? You're gloating about accomplishing absolutely nothing. But then again, that's all a guy like you can do, isn't that right? I mean when you've yet to have even one single memorable moment in your entire career....now that's hard times. That would turn any man into a self entitled, nonsensical, trumpet blower. Ranting and raving about how the littlest of things make you better than everyone else, when in reality it just makes you come across even sadder than you naturally do. I not only hate you, I feel sorry for you. Because you're so caught up in playing in pretend, making believe that you're this figure capable of saving anything, much less anything that actually matters, that you'll never come back to reality and see the world for not what it is inside that demented little head of yours, but for what it ACTUALLY is.

I've accomplished nothing? I'm sorry, Ted, but I think you're mistaken. I am the liberator of humanity from their self woes. That's far more than some lousy World Championship "reign" you had last year where you had to cheat to keep your title against the likes of Michael McGillicutty and myself. You are the reason why I'm not the World Champion, Ted. You are the reason why ignorant people such as yourself look at me as a failure. You think because I haven't won the "big one" my words don't have merit. If you didn't take the easy way out at Night of Champions I would be the World Champion right now. The fact is you are the one who ruined everything for me, and you continue to ruin everything else in this company. And you think I need a one, two, three pinfall to rightfully proclaim myself as the victor of all of this? No, Ted. I need to do more, just like I said before. And just like I said before, I'm going to take you out. I'm going to end your career and I am going to relish in all of my glory that you have prevented me from taking.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, hold the phone there chief, now I know you didn't just call ol' Ted DiBiase a cheater. Because there's a lot of things I am, irritable, sometimes overbearingly cheesy, a tad on the childish side, just a bit too trusting, maybe even a little condescending lately, but a cheater has never, will never, would never describe me. Unlike so called "men" like you, I've never had a handful of tights to secure a pin on anyone, I've never intentionally gotten myself disqualified, never walked out on a match like a little bitch, and I've never needed anyone to help me get the job done in a match. You know why you're a failure, Cody? It's not because I kicked your ass when you tried to take the title I had been after for far too damn long, it's because all you do is talk, you talk about this, you talk about that, you talk about taking me out, and you talk about saving everyone every single second of every day some idiot hands you a microphone. Instead of telling these people that you're going to relish the day you end my career, how about you just try buddy boy.

I didn't come back to sit my ass on the sidelines like a lot of people are satisfied doing, I'm here to fight, and I'm here to take my spot back on top, now if that means I've gotta take you out along the way, then so be it. But don't think for even a single solitary second that anyone buys your little sob story. Despise popular belief, I'm not the root of all evil. You're not a hero that's going to put an end to my tyranny, you're just a guy that's read far too many comic books to the point that he thinks he's this Anti-Hero put on this Earth to protect all that is right in wrong. At the end of the day, you're a grown man, not a little boy anymore, so how bout you start acting like it. Quit hiding behind Mommy Guerrero and fight your own battles, because I kicked Shawn's ass, and you can best believe I'll kick yours again!

Really? I want to accuse me of hiding behind Vickie Guerrero? Surely, Ted, you must be one to know that I don't get along well with authority. Me and Vickie are business partners that have one common goal for the sake of business. That is, of course, getting rid of you once and for all. You see. Ted. I've called Vickie a lot of things in the past, but I'll give the devil her due. She's someone who actually sees the problem that lies within in you, and she knows she has to take you our. Luckily for her, I am here to save the day. And do you think your victory of Shawn is supposed to intimidate me? I've been there and I've done that already, Ted. I beat him at his own game in an Iron Man match two years ago. I put him down the same exact way I'm going to put you down, and at this point, it's only a matter of time.



{Ted DiBiase}
Only a matter time? My we're getting awful cocky aren't we? I'll say it now, and I'll say it as clearly as I possibly can, I'm not going ANYWHERE! My career has been shortened by eight Months Cody, eight months you, Vickie, and every other asshole back there that's too afraid to actually settle your differences with me the old fashioned way, cost me EVERYTHING! I busted my ass for years to finally have my moment, years of patience, letting everyone else cut in line ahead of me, and it was FINALLY my time! My put up or shut up moment, and I showed the world what I am capable of. But because you failed to do the same thing, I suffered for those long and miserable months, while you sat at home, no doubt watching it all go down with that annoying smug look on your face, much like you have now...you think I care about what you did last night? You made me bleed, good for you, or I should say, bad....because that made me pretty angry, and I'm no Incredible Hulk or anything, but trust me Cody, if you think I was a danger to this company then? You have no idea what you and everyone else has awakened inside of me. But believe you me, Cody...by the time this is all over, just like me, you'll NEVER be the same again!




{Ted DiBiase}
Don't believe me? Good. I'm sick of talking anyways.

*Suddenly Ted drops his microphone on the ramp and in an instant is being a beeline right for the ring! Cody doesn't look afraid though, he stands his ground, shouts out "Come on Ted, let's finish this!" Ted passes by the barricades, nears the ring, but suddenly a swarm of security come from seemingly out of nowhere forming an unpenetrable wall between DiBiase and the ring. "What are you waiting for?!" Cody yells safely from the ring. Ted tries to push through the guards but more run up behind him pulling backwards, despite his best efforts to stand his ground, it's no use, he's overpowered by all the men around him and he can't seem to get through them. "I'm right here, Ted!" "I'm right here, what are you waiting for?!" "Let's finish this!" Cody continues to mess with Ted's head, mocking him, taking advantage of the fact that Ted can't reach him, and soon cackles to himself, enjoying every second of this. No matter what Ted does he can't get to Cody, and soon Cody yells out to the crowd "There's your hero, running away!" this pisses Ted off to the point that he decks a guard, leaps off the floor trying to bypasses the security, raring for a fight, but they just pull him backwards again as he fails to get bust through the shield the security guards have formed between him and the ring. We soon fade away to a commercial break as Cody continues to taunt Ted, enjoying this far too much.*

*Both of these men stare down as Dolph Ziggler with a smirk begins to clap for Jericho over his victory, a smug Dolph continues to clap on the stage as Jericho watches on intently in the ring strapping his Title around his shoulder.*
