| Often times over the course of XWL's existence, most notably in the last five or so years, there's been a problem that wasn't properly addressed. You know that moment where you're having a match, and suddenly with absolutely no warning whatsoever...despite you being practically chest to chest with your opponent, BOOM RUNNING FINISHER, 1....2...3! It's always been looked at as lame, but always ignored. We'll get annoyed, be it admins or members themselves, and we'll talk to the person that did it, be like yo man create some distance. Which they do, and then they stop doing that, or someone else starts doing it...and it's just, annoying to deal with in a match.
So that's why effective immediately we're introducing a new rule regarding Running Signatures/Finishers. While there are some VERY rare moments a running finisher or signature is done closer than it should, but it's such a sick spot nobody bats an eye....the majority of the time, it's very abrupt, and it doesn't look very good at all because the point of a running move is to build momentum, and use that momentum to drop your opponent, right? Well there's no momentum to gain if you're RIGHT in front of your opponent. While it's not a perfect rule, and some will probably be annoyed at being limited, it's positives outweigh the negatives.
Running Signatures may only be done in the following way.
Rebounding Off The Ropes You must bounce off the ropes, on the OPPOSITE side of the ring from your opponent to do a running signature.Or they must be whipped to the ropes and you catch them on the rebound.
Running Finishers may only be done two ways.
Charged Finisher Back yourself into a corner, or the complete opposite side of the ring from your fallen opponent, and the game will automatically trigger your charged running finisher.
Rebounding Off The Ropes You must bounce off the ropes, on the OPPOSITE side of the ring from your opponent to do a running finisher. Or they must be whipped to the ropes and you catch them on the rebound.
That is it, no point blank running, no reversing a move and charging head on at them, they may only done via the above situations. If you would still like the freedom to reverse a move, that maybe sends them tumbling over head, and they stagger to their feet, that's completely okay...but run off the ropes first, simple.
And as always, don't play like a cunt. This ain't that serious, so calm down as Krzy would say, and enjoy the match for what it should be, two or more individuals coming together to have an awesome match where there may be a winner and loser, but by the end of it, you don't even care who won or lost because you just had fun.
