Zanders weekly Breakdown review
The opening promo really made the show for me this week it was solid in both writing and surprise factor throughout, a credit to everyone involved in it's production and for every one else? Take notes. This is how you make a show.

The ending was meh though, the crowd was so excited with David taking his opening back, but Tyson Kidd REALLY killed the mood.

As XWL Breakdown comes onto the air we quickly go into the arena where the fans are cheering as loud as possible, raising their signs up for all watching at home to see, and the opening pyrotechnics begin to go off at the top of the stage.
Following the end of that amazing display, we're taken ringside to Jerry "The King" Lawler and Good Ol' JR
JR: Welcome everybody to Breakdown, we're live in Manchester England to kick off the start of our United Kingdom tour, and trust me when I say this folks, you don't wanna miss tonight's show!
King: No they don't JR, we're just two weeks until our Halloween Special, The Monster Bash, and it's already shaping up to be quite the event. The Rock will get his rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship, and after months of both men wanting it, for the first time CM Punk and The Rock will face off one on one and it's for the biggest prize in this company! Can The Rock regain his title, or will CM Punk hold up to his vow of holding that title for a very long time.
JR: Last week we held a triple threat match between three of Breakdown's promising superstars and crowned a new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
King: Brock Lesnar, Christopher Daniels, and Kurt Angle put it all out there, they were all three neck and neck until the final moments when the former United States Champion Kurt Angle managed to hit the angle slam for the one two three! Now he goes onto The Monster Bash to challenge the crafty Wade Barrett! Can he walk away with The Intercontinental Championship? One things for sure it's going to be a close one.
JR: But before those two matches take place, tonight in our main-event Kurt Angle & The Rock will team up for the first time ever in XWL to take on the first time ever pairing of The Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, and the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk!
King: It's a huge match, and I can't think of a better main-event for the beginning of our long awaited tour here tonight!
JR: Then of course we're going to witness a rematch between Beth Phoenix and the reigning Miss Money In The Bank, Layla!
King: They faced almost three weeks ago and after a very close bout Layla managed to come out victorious, so here tonight Mick Foley has arranged a rematch and if Layla uses a weapon in any way or form like she did before, Mick Foley says he'll fine her another 100,000 dollars!
JR: Last week was not a good week for Layla, she was informed by Mick Foley she'll be defending her Miss Money In The Bank briefcase inside the first ever divas hell in a cell match, he's the special referee, and the loser leaves Breakdown! Not only that, but she's forbidden from cashing in until after The Monster Bash!
King: She's definitely not a happy camper right now and...
But he's cut off by the sound of a very familiar theme
JR: What the hell?
King: Did he get on the wrong flight or something? Last I checked he was a Redemption superstar?
JR: He is... I wonder what he's doing out here.
The cameras switch to beside the stage where a brand new black rolls royce stops as it reaches the stage area. The fans react confused, they don't know whether to boo or cheer him.
The door begins to open up and out steps the Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio! Dressed in an armani suit he stands with his usual wide smile on his face, a microphone is in hand and as always his scarf hangs on his shoulders.
He looks out into the audience then a huge grin forms on his face.
Alberto takes a few steps forward then stops, and begins to slowly raise his microphone up...
Alberto Del Rio: For those of you that do not know me, my name is...
He tightly balls his fist and deepens his voice while tightly holding the microphone.
Alberto Del Rio: Alberto.....DEL.....RIO!!!!!
His smile comes back on his face, pausing while looking out at the mixed reacting crowd.
Alberto Del Rio: But you... You'll soon come to know that!
JR: We know who you are we're just not sure why you're out here...
King: I'm not quite sure either, JR.
We switch back to Alberto who has made his way up onto the stage and his microphone is raised up once more.
Alberto Del Rio: You see...I'm out here for a very good reason, and that reason...Is Destiny! When I first arrived in XWL I was treated as I should be, fair opportunity, and managerial decisions. But then XWL created a second brand, which I thought would be good, but oh how wrong I was. A few months ago I informed Miss Guerrero of an injury that I needed checked out, she insisted it was nothing, that someone such as I was imagining it. Despite my persistence to get her to schedule an appointment, she refused, she said I was in the main-event, and that I needed to remain active. So for weeks she booked me in matches that I had to compete in...That I knew I wasn't physically fit to take place in. I was mocked by my fellow superstars, they made jokes of my silence, and do you know why I was silent? Because I refused to compete every night, and each night she threatened to release me from my contract! Such a vile woman, how dare she treat someone like myself like that! I was turned into a joke, fed to every superstar that you could think of and after Eye For An Eye, I had had enough!
Alberto Del Rio: I went straight to Mick Foley, I told him everything Vickie's made me do, that I need a medical evaluation which she's refused to give me. Immediately I get the treatment I deserved, tests were ran, and turns out I had a few minor injuries which had I continued to be thrown to the wolves, could have potentially sidelined me indefinitely! After a surgical procedure the very next day, I was as good as new, and Mick Foley and I continued our conversations. One thing lead to another, and being the owner of XWL, he released me of my contract with Vickie Guerrero and her pozo negro of a brand! The very next minute I was named an official Breakdown superstar!
JR: Bah gawd! Alberto Del Rio is Breakdown's newest acquisition? What an announcement.
King: I feel so bad for him being treated the way he was on Redemption...But I guess with a boss like Vickie something's gotta give.
As the boos and cheers flow in at his announcement, he grins once more
Alberto Del Rio: Tonight I make my return to the ring, and to my opponent let me just tell you one thing, it doesn't matter if you call yourselves the one man rock band, or the ambassador of Wendy's...Because when I get done with you, your arm with be broken, and you'll be begging for your materno! I want everyone in the back to take notice, Alberto Del Rio is back, and no one is safe...I will not rest until my reputation is restored to it's rightful position! Vickie Guerrero, I want you and your "favorites" especially to watch closely tonight, because I'm going to show you all that you have not broken me! CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Ted DiBiase, Justin Gabriel, you can thank your lucky stars that I'm no longer on Redemption, because trust me even though it's not at this very moment, I will get revenge for you all taking advantage of my injured state. You're all going to regret the day you crossed Alberto Del Rio, and I promise you, this is only the beginning! After what I've had to deal with over on Redemption for the past two months, I'd highly advise my opponent to not show up tonight. I've got quite the bit of pent up frustration to let loose, so unfortunately for you Heath Slater, you get to be my first victim! It's nothing personal, it's just destiny!
Most of the fans begin to boo at his last remark while he winks into the view of the camera finishing with his big grin as his music hits again.
JR: What a way to kick off tonight's show, Alberto Del Rio is Breakdown's newest superstar, and he's certainly put everyone on notice.
King: He certainly has, and he didn't waste any time in getting straight to the point, a different side of Alberto Del Rio that's for sure.
JR: He's on a mission to rebuild himself back up to the valuable asset he was. I'm not sure what the injury was but I can't see why Vickie wouldn't at least send him for an evaluation. Seems like it was a quick fix problem, but I suppose that's Breakdown's gain.
King: If I were Heath Slater I'd be on my toes because it only will take one second to get locked in that devastating cross armbreaker of his.
JR: I'm going to give Heath some credit, he put up a hell of a fight at Eye For An Eye in the Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber, so perhaps with the right opening, he could pull off quite the upset.
King: I'd hate to be Ricardo if Alberto somehow loses tonight...Can you imagine his reaction to losing? Especially after that decisive statement just now.
JR: I guess we'll find out later on, but for now ladies and gentlemen we've got to take our first commercial break, so don't go away, because we've a whole lot more that you don't wanna miss!
Breakdown then fades away to a commercial break from our sponsors
