|  After an incredible contest pitting Chris Jericho against AJ Styles, XWL.com's Supervisor Joey Styles caught up with "The Ayatollah of Rock 'N' Rollah" for a quick post-match interview as he sat in his private locker room.
JOEY STYLES: "Chris, I just wanted to drop by and mention, incredible match out there tonight with AJ Styles. After defeating AJ in a ladder match at Supremacy and losing to him tonight, is there a possibility for a rubber match down the line?"
CHRIS JERICHO: "Well...never say never, you know? AJ's a hell of a competitor, and one of the few guys in that locker room that I have...well, that I have any shred of respect for, quite frankly."
JS: "Rumors have been floating around tonight that you might be leaving soon to tour with your band Fozzy, to promote your brand new album. Your response to these rumors, Chris?"
CJ: "Well...I can't exactly pull the trigger on announcing that yet. There is a tour scheduled down the line later on in the year, yes. But we haven't quite set all the dates for it and whatnot. There's been dates thrown around for the start of our tour, actually. September, November, hell, I got an offer for next week, but I turned that down. So yeah...still working on that. XWL Management will be notified when we get further details."
JS: "Right, right. Any plans for the 4th of July next week?"
CJ: "Joey, I'm glad you asked that. Because next week, I'm going to be hosting a special Independence Day Edition of the biggest talk show in XWL history, that's right, The Highlight Reel! It's coming back, baby! To XWL, next week. Stay tuned, all my Jerichoholics. Because it's gonna rock the house."
It is unknown at the time of this article who is scheduled to appear on the return edition of The Highlight Reel. We at XWL.com hope to get more details as the week goes by. | |
