As Breakdown comes on live to your TV screens we are shown an image of none other than newly crowned world heavyweight champion the Miz. Sat in his dressing room polishing his new found possession while admiring its beauty. Interrupting the Miz is a loud bang on his door followed by a female voice.

???
Hey, open up we need to talk.

Not fazed by this at all the Miz doesn’t even take his eyes away from his title as he replies.

Miz
I’m busy right now. If you want an autograph you’ll just have to wait like the rest of the world.

The banging continues on the Miz’s door now followed by failed attempts to open it. The Miz can be heard talking under his breath as he stands up, throws the title over his shoulder and walks towards the door.

Miz
Jeez, some fans eh. I guess this is what it’s like when you’re the face of the company.

As the Miz unlocks is door and looks to gently open it, it flies open hitting him in the face and causing him to stumble back. As the Miz checks for any cuts on his forehead when he looks up he notices the general manager of Breakdown Stephanie McMahon, and she does not look happy.



Stephanie McMahon
So what exactly was that little stunt you pulled last week? You have some explaining to do.

Miz
Woah woah, slow down there baby. We have nothing to worry about, I don’t even know what you’re talking about.

Stephanie McMahon
Wait, what?! First, never ever call me baby again or I will slap you so hard across your face it will do a 360 degree spin. Second of all, do you really think I’m an idiot? The whole world saw how you won the championship last week except one man. That one man luckily on your behalf was the referee but we all saw how you cheated Alberto Del Rio out of that championship. Now, I hope you have a good explanation for yourself or I might just strip you of that title right here, right now!



Miz
Now now let’s not make any decisions we’re going to regret here. Let me just start of by explaining myself. You see, out there in the ring, as you know from past experiences yourself things sometimes get a bit too much and emotions run high. That’s all that happened last week. Emotions were just running a little bit too high and when I saw that the referee was down I just took the opportunity any other sane man would have done. When it’s been your sole aim since signing a contract in this company to one day hold this very title I have on my shoulder then you will do whatever it takes to get it. No matter what the risk is, and quite frankly I took a risk last night and I’m proud of myself for it.



Stephanie McMahon
I might not totally agree with what you have to say Miz but I do have to respect what you did. You did in fact take the ultimate risk and did whatever you could to get what you wanted and I like that. However, it doesn’t look good on me or on this company when our main championship is being held by somebody who didn’t legitimately win it. Now the whole point of you facing Alberto Del Rio last night was to prove that the current champions were legitimate. Now you didn’t help that cause at all now did you?



Miz
You want me to prove that I’m a legitimate champion do you? Well watch me tonight when I beat the other two newly crowned champions. Wait, in fact, if that’s not good enough for you I’ll tell you what I will do. I’ll take out Del Rio myself. I will hunt him down myself and I will take him out and put him out of action. Will that be enough for you?

Stephanie McMahon
No, no that will not be enough because quite frankly you can’t do that. You want to know why you can’t do that Miz? Because Del Rio is having his rematch with you one on one at November to Remember whether you like it or not! Now maybe this wouldn’t of been such a big issue if you could of got the job done last night properly.

Miz
Got the job done properly? Look at what’s on my shoulder Stephanie and not on Del Rio’s. You know why that is? Because I got the job done last night. And who cares if Del Rio has he rematch at the next pay per view. I’ll take him out before then and he won’t even be able to compete. And nobody will stop me.



Stephanie McMahon
Well, as a matter of fact I will stop you Miz. If I see you lay one finger nail on Del Rio or even get involved in any of his business personally then I will strip you of that title and I will fire your ass before you can say awesome. Now let that be a lesson to you in who is in charge around here. Just because you have that title doesn’t mean you own this place, test me and you’ll soon find out the hard way.

Stephanie stares at the Miz before turning around and exiting the room. Just as the door is about to close she stops and turns around to say one last thing to the world heavyweight champion.

Stephanie McMahon
Oh, I almost forgot. Good luck in the main event tonight. You’ll need it.

Stephanie does in fact exit the room now and her heels can be heard clicking along the corridor as she makes her way back to her office. The camera stays on the Miz who looks down at his title and says one last thing before Breakdown cuts back to the next segment.



Miz
Just because I can’t personally put away Del Rio doesn’t mean somebody else can’t do it for me.....

Austins theme rings through the building to a standing ovation from the sold out crowd and before long he comes firing out from behind the curtain like a man with a purpose...



He heads down the ramp as what's sure to be another exciting episode of Breakdown rolls on, the deafening crowd hold up their "Austin 3:16" and "Fuck Fear, Drink Beer" signs as the Texas Rattlesnake nears the ring...



He clambers up the stairs and strolls along the ramp, placing his left hand on the top rope before making his way into the ring through the middle rope, the then heads straight for the top turnbuckle, throwing his fingers high into the air for the entire arena to see...



He jumps down from the turnbuckle and wanders over to the side of the apron where he grabs a mic from one of the helpers and heads into the middle, lifting it to speak...



[Stone Cold Steve Austin]
Now last week I got myself a match with Chris Jericho and if I don't say so myself it was a hell of a fight! I've known Chris a long time and we've had our back and forths but for the first time in well over a decade I want to thank him publicly, I want to thank him for lighting a fire under my ass that lay dormant for far too long! Now I don't remember much from that night because quite frankly I was drunk as hell! I can't make any promises so I won't, but Ol' Stone Cold will try his best not to drink and whoop ass, he'll leave it till afterwards! That brings us to my match tonight with....

You, Randy Orton. You're a third generation superstar with plenty of accomplishments under your belt including something that even I have never been, the XWL World Heavyweight Champion. None of that will mean jack tonight when you step into the ring with the toughest son of a bitch in this company! Come sun, rain, hail or snow I will unleash hell on your ass! Not because I have to in order to prove any sort of point, but because I want to! You see like everyone else you came here to make a point that you're one of the best, hell kid I ain't doubting it, I know you're good, great even.

But Stone Cold didn't come here to prove he's the best, he came here for a fight! So listen up Randy, this is the only thing that I will ever ask of you and for your own good you better follow through. I want you to leave your troubles, your worries, your feuds and your handbag at the door and you come down here tonight for the fight of your life! I want your absolute best! No excuses. That goes for everyone in this company, you want to prove you're the best then you have to go through Stone Cold Steve Austin! Every sorry son of a bitch who walks through that curtain has an agenda, whether it's Alberto Del Rio and his pride, Chris Jericho and his ego or Cody Rhodes and his vanity. Me? Now we've only got about a month left in the year so my new years resolution is to make sure that I end it with a bang! Once again the name Stone Cold Steve Austin is gonna strike fear into the hearts of his competitors as they stand opposite him with a healthy stream of piss running down their legs! Last week I sent Vince McMahon a message when I told him live in front of the world that his rules are like my opponents bones, they are gonna get broken! So now I'll send a message to his pretty little daughter Stephanie, you've done a good job so far, but you keep those matches coming, hell, two or three more a night does me just fine but if you ever stop putting me in the ring where I belong, or if you even think of leaving me off of the card I'll pay you a little visit my self and that's the bottom line....Cause Stone Cold said so!



Austins theme rings through the arena to a huge cheer, he's here and he means business, he leaves the ring through the middle rope and heads back up the ramp throwing his middle fingers high into the air as XWL's Breakdown rolls on...

- The cameras whisk us away backstage where Don West is shown standing backstage with an interviewer on one side and Kharma on the other. Realistically, the interviewer serves no purpose because if there was a pressing need amongst the XWL Universe to know how Don West feels about the way the Intercontinental Championship match went down last week, his expression is a sufficient enough answer. He looks like he hasn’t cracked a smile since The Referee made the fateful three-count, and it’s hard to even fathom how Ryback reacted behind closed doors. The interviewer clears his throat to get West’s attention then quickly begins to speak before the manager can go off on him or Kharma can hurt him.-

₸ Interviewer ₸
Don, I’m sure this is the last thing you want to talk about, but people are dying to know just how you’re feeling about the Intercontinental Championship match result last week. I mean, for all intents and purposes it looked as though Ryback realistically had a shot to win that match at one point, but then there was the theme music hitting, and Triple H coming out dressed as you all leading up to the Sweet Chin Music that sealed the deal and killed off your dreams of bringing championship gold to The West Side…



₸ Don West ₸
Let me just stop you right there, because you are absolutely right in thinking that I have no desire to speak about that match… right now. How about we turn the tables for a second so that I can ask you a question?

That’s right! So please, tell me why in the world would I want to discuss issues concerning one of my clients when he isn’t around? When I talk about Ryback I don’t just want people to hear my words, or see the passion written on my face, I want them to see with their own two eyes the beast who makes every wrestler think twice about their choice of profession when it comes time to get in the ring with him. If you still have a job later on in the show, then maybe you’ll be lucky enough to stand next to me once more when Ryback says his piece. Until then, I’m here to promote the most dominate women in professional wrestling history! Or maybe by completely ignoring her you were trying to say that she wasn’t good enough to be asked a question by a high and mighty interviewer such as yourself?

And there’s where the problem lies, pal, because you don’t seem like you’re too bright of a fellow, so here’s a word of advice: cover up your flaws by doing less thinking and asking my client more damn questions!

Sorry… Kharma, last week you were nowhere to be seen when it came time for your match against Bayley and after the destruction you caused at The Monster Bash, many were looking forward to seeing how you’d follow up that performance.

₸ Don West ₸
Why Kharma didn’t show up for her match last week against Bayley was a matter of protest, plain and simple. And you better watch what you say next because if you even hint at the idea that Kharma was afraid of Bayley then you’re going to talk yourself into the beating of a lifetime!

₸ Interviewer ₸
Well, what was she protesting?



₸ Don West ₸
Isn’t it obvious? She was sending a message to the monkeys in the back that the days of looking past her or through her are over. Just take a look at her, Kharma’s not a woman you can ignore, especially after what she did at The Monster Bash and if you think that she’s going to show mercy and slow down now then this company has got another thing coming. Tell me, has there ever, and I mean ever been another wrestler in XWL history, male or female, who managed to turn their career around as quickly and as emphatically as Kharma did?

₸ Interviewer ₸
No, not that I can remember off the top of my head.

₸ Don West ₸
That answer right there, well it says it all, really, because Kharma did what no one in the diva’s division has ever done before and left an imprint on six careers that can never be wiped off or erased. Go ahead and list those names of the women who got creamed, because I’m dying to hear them again so that Kharma and I can revel and bask in the history that we made.

₸ Interviewer ₸
Well, there was her victory over Aksana on the pre-show, then Kharma chokeslamed Eve off the stage, powerbombed Natalya through a wall and Mickie through a table, then just before the end of the show she threw The Bella Twins inside of the baggage compartment in The West Side Army Tour Bus.



₸ Don West ₸
Not to mention, Melina who Kharma backfisted into unemployment to foreshadow the pile of broken bodies to come the show after and while Aksana was lucky enough to have her career spared, as you saw last week she’s still reeling from the beating she got and who knows if she’ll ever be the same? For all we know she’s decided to call it a career and will be on a flight back to wherever the hell she’s from before we know it.

₸ Interviewer ₸
Yes but, what exactly did you do to The Bella Twins and where are they?

₸ Don West ₸
What we did and where they are don’t matter. What matters is that they’re gone from XWL, hopefully forever, and it’s all because they were helpless to prevent themselves from being steamrolled by the force of nature standing next to me. And how does XWL thank us for clearing up the clutter on the roster? They go and they book her against Bayley of all people. Someone who was more concerned about a Ted DiBiase t-shirt than the whirlwind of pain that was heading her way. So I looked at Kharma and I said, “You know something? If they’re not going to take you seriously, then we’re not going to waste our time.” That’s why Kharma didn’t show up, and that’s why we took matters into our own hands and decided to take tonight off as well, and maybe we’ll relax next week and the week after that and we’ll see if anyone has the guts to tell us to stop.

₸ Interviewer ₸
Well what’s next for Kharma, moving forward then? How do you top The Monster Bash?



₸ Don West ₸
What people don’t realize is that The Monster Bash was supposed to be the last night Kharma and I did business together. It could have all ended right then and there, because I promised her that I would put the fire back in her eyes and the fear in the hearts of the divas and I did just that, and then some! After a mere week of her being in The West Side Army I gave her the defining moment of her career, and to her that meant more than championship gold ever could. In her eyes being a champion meant nothing if nobody takes her seriously. People will be hard-pressed to erase from their memory what she did, and no matter what does or doesn’t happen from here on out The Monster Bash can’t be taken away from her. We were about to go our separate ways but then I said, “Kharma, it doesn’t have to end tonight, this can only be the beginning. There have been so many women that wronged you, and with my help we can see to it that you get your revenge even if the dish is frozen by the time you serve it up.”

So she’s going after a specific diva? Any hint as to who that may be?

₸ Don West ₸
Maybe we’ll target a special somebody, or maybe we won’t. If you ask me it’s a little too early to say and there are so many satisfying options that there’s no need to tie ourselves down and commit right now. But I will tell you this: as of November to Remember, Kharma and The West Side Army will amicably go our separate ways and while it may be impossible to top what happened at the pay per view, I can promise you that Kharma will go out with a bang. Now, are there any other questions you’d like to throw our way, sir?

I find it really funny how Kharma finally looks like she knows her way around a ring and then proceeds to walk around like she owns the place. I guess she’s conveniently forgotten just how many times she’s been put in her place before. Don’t worry, I think I know just the woman who doesn’t have any reservations at all about getting into the ring with that so-called monster and knocking her around for old time’s sake.

Would you look who the cat dragged in! How you doing there, Beth? You spent so much time unemployed that I almost didn’t recognize you there for a second. I’m glad that you still think your words hold some weight around here, but if you hadn’t noticed the Kharma that was being led astray by Raisha Saeed pales is comparison to the mastodon that made the best career move of her career by aligning herself with me.

Because you’re so great of a manager, right Don? I mean there was Melina, Amazing Red, Corey Graves… all really inspiring success stories, it nearly brings a tear to my eye. Oh, I almost forgot Ryback, and how could I after his performance last week? I’ve never seen someone choke that hard since.. well, since Kharma thought she could beat me. Aw, sorry Don, is that still a touchy subject? Too soon?

You know something? If I took the time to listen to all the doubters and naysayers, then I wouldn’t get anything done. So, if you’ll excuse us, Beth, we’ve got better things to do than to stand around here and chat with you.

Believe me, I didn’t come here just to talk…

-  Beth dashes past West to lunge at Kharma, knocking the unsuspecting women off her feet and Beth goes to town on her, grabbing two handfuls of Kharma’s hair and bashing the back of her head against the unforgiving concrete hallway floor. With West screaming his lungs out, Beth lets go of Kharma’s hair so that she can free up her hands to lay down some stiff punches to the temple that Kharma is doing everything that she can to block.

Suddenly, a pair of arms wraps themselves around Beth’s waist and with a powerful tug, pulls The Glamazon of her victim.It’s a struggle but security is able to get her a safe distance away while she screams that she’s going to finish what they started. The cameras cut back over to Kharma who has sat up, and with a squatting West checking up on her, she looks on at Beth and lets loose with a chilling cackle before the screen fades to black.-

As an advertisement promoting the fifth anniversary spectacle edition of Breakdown next week finishes, we change gears and switch away backstage where Josh Matthews is front and center in front of a camera.




[Josh Matthews]
Ladies and gentlemen, next week will be a night to remember, as we prepare to head into November to Remember. The Slammy Awards are upon us, and as always it's sure to be highly exciting, shocking, action packed, and something you do not wanna miss. My guest joining me at this time is no stranger to The Slammy's that's because she's the only two time Diva of the Year, for the last two years running, so please allow me to welcome you now the number one contender to The Divas Championship, Layla!

Josh extends his arm out, motioning for Layla to walk onto the scene, she reveals herself in casual attire, not quite ready for her match set to take place later tonight.



[Josh Matthews]
Good evening Layla, before we jump into things, how are you feeling tonight?




[Layla]
I'm just wonderful, the doctors have cleared me to compete tonight, they were a little weary given the condition of my knee, but I assured them I'm good to go.

[Josh Matthews]
But the question is, are you?

[Layla]
I think what happened at The Monster Bash was a little unfortunate, I mean I walked away number one contender, but kind of couldn't actually walk...but the little break I had last week did me wonders. I stayed off my knee, I iced it, it's wrapped up, this isn't in my first ache and pain. My knee has been an issue since I came back, because that injury was so damaging, I really shouldn't have been able to wrestle again, but through hard work and a strong will, I've exceeded all expectations. So I think to doubt my condition would be a tad foolish, we've seen what I'm capable of when people underestimate me. If they wanna make that mistake, they can go right ahead, but they'll only have themselves to blame, because history shows I don't let anything keep me down.


[Josh Matthews]
Well said, you have been somewhat of a standout performer when in the diva's division. The amount of things you've accomplished, it's understandable why the fan's have named you Diva of the Year for the past two years. But the question is, with the time to crown the Diva of 2013 drawing near, will you make it a third?



[Layla]
Anything's possible, I didn't have the best year, came up short in Queen of the Ring, accidentally caused the break-up of The United Queendom, and of course said I Quit at Final Stand...but it's not all been bad. I've changed for the better, abandoned my ways of the past and stand before you a better person. I competed in the only Diva's match that has been recognized as the best match of a pay-per-view this year, which is a pretty big deal considering the last time was two years ago. Then of course, the biggest thing, being my victory last Sunday in the first ever Elimination Chamber to feature women. Maybe I've got a chance, maybe I don't, either way I'm just happy to have been named Diva of the Year one time, let alone two...so if the third time isn't a charm, well there's always next year.



[Josh Matthews]
If not you, who maybe has this year's Slammy in the bag?



[Layla]
Easy, Kaitlyn. She surpassed my record breaking Divas Championship reign, made one of her own, was a fighting champion through and through, and she gave me the fight of her life at The Monster Bash. So I think she's more than deserving of this year's title as Diva of the Year.



[Josh Matthews]
It is nice to see that your friendship hasn't been harmed by competing inside The Elimination Chamber.




[Layla]
It's like I said, we agreed that no matter who won, as long as it was one of us, we'd be happy for each other. We started that match, and we finished it, even in defeat she was victorious for an entirely different reason. History was made and we both were apart of it, that's something that can never be taken away from us, we were apart of the select few to do that, that's huge.


[Josh Matthews]
Moving on, with your victory inside The Elimination Chamber, you earned yourself a one on one title match against The Divas Champion at November to Remember. What did you think of Stephanie McMahon's decision to make every champion, including Madison Eagles defend their titles last week?


[Layla]
I have such huge respect for Stephanie, she's a woman empowered, and she knows what she's doing. As a former champion that was proud to carry that title with me, I agree with her decision. Because each match I entered, I treated as if it were possibly my last with the title, whether it was on the line or not, and that's how every champion needs to carry themselves.


[Josh Matthews]
That decision of course brought about a new Divas Champion, a champion that wasn't you. What do you have to say about the new Divas Champion, AJ Lee?




[Layla]
I'm happy for her, she's a bit on the...eccentric side, but we all are in our own ways. She made the most of that opportunity to prove that she's the best, and right now she can claim that. But in two weeks, the time for talk will be over, and the time to stand up and prove herself will have arrived. Let's not forget that her last Divas Championship reign, was ended by me. On the fourth anniversary of Final Stand, I made it happen, I dethroned her, and that could very well happen again at November to Remember. I take nothing away from AJ, but history has a tenancy to repeat itself, and as we all know, I know a thing or two about history.



[Josh Matthews]
That you do, and I'm sure we're all looking forward to November to Remember when you challenge the New Divas Champion AJ Lee. But tonight however, you'll be returning to the ring against the woman you would have originally faced, Madison Eagles. What do you think will happen tonight?



[Layla]
The same thing that would've happened in two weeks, as a competitor I need to be confident, and Madison's great, don't get me wrong, she's been a real breakout star, but she's not going to have her head in the game. She's fresh off a championship defeat, and I know how that feels, you feel like your next match is do or die, or you feel like you're about to fall from grace all so suddenly. But sometimes when you over think things like that, you make mistakes that others in a sound mind can easily capitalize on. I wish her luck, I feel for her, losing her title and all, but with her rematch inevitable,  she needs to focus and make sure that what happened last week, doesn't happen tonight, unfortunately for her, she's facing me, and I have to make sure that, that's exactly what happens.



[Josh Matthews]
Well I thank you for your time Layla, it's been a pleasure, good luck in two weeks, and good luck tonight.



[Layla]
The pleasure was all mine, Josh. Don't work too hard tonight, and if you see The Miz, tell him to stop calling me. I guess he didn't get the memo last week, but...ew, that's all I have to say, bye!

Layla exits the set, on the way perhaps to her locker room to gear up for the November to Remember match that was originally set, but now proves to be a test for her. Will she come out on top, is her knee as strong as she let's on, or will the truth come out when she faces off against the former Divas Champion Madison Eagles?

A video begins to play after the words “during the week” appear on the screen and when an image finally comes into focus the first thing we see is longtime XWL interviewer, Jeremy Borash standing by at his usual post backstage. Except, this doesn’t appear to be an XWL arena, made obvious by all the Japanese characters written in several places and seen on several pieces paraphernalia in the area. It would seem that Borash did a little overseas travelling in between Breakdowns, and hopefully he can let us know why.

Hey there folks! Who else could it be but JB? Yes indeed, this is Jeremy Borash here, and no, if you didn’t already notice, I’m nowhere near Breakdown this week, although there’s a part of me there in Boston, Massachusetts watching on in spirit. Don’t worry, I didn’t jump ship, I’m still loyal to XWL through and through. By this time next week I’ll be live and in color back in the good ol’ U.S. of A. ready to have a word with the men and women who make up the very colorful XWL roster where there’s never a dull day for an interviewer like myself. Until then, I’m operating out of Japan this week where the legendary New Japan Pro-Wrestling Promotion was gracious enough to host a select few members of the XWL crew, and boy do we have a treat for you.



Jeremy Borash
You see, it was almost a year ago where The Motor City Machine Guns hosted a three stages of hell gauntlet at Xtreme Xmas and one of the teams that participated in the match was World Elite, comprised of Japan native Kiyoshi who operates under the name Akira Raijin back in his homeland. There was a talent exchange of sorts and tonight, XWL is holding up its end of the bargain in a big way. The Motor City Machine Guns did a great job keeping it a secret, but now the cat’s out of the bag because I’m here to let you all know that tonight, in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the Ersatz Tag Team Championships are on the line at their “The New Beginning” pay per view extravaganza. Unfortunately, the other half of the Detroit two-some, Chris Sabin, is still out of commission thanks to our new World Heavyweight champion The Miz. What a stand-up guy he is, huh? But as they say, the show must go on and Alex Shelley linked up with a young up-and-coming talent in Kushida to take on Forever Hooligans, and folks, you are in for a treat. Enjoy!

The cameras cut away from JB and take us into the arena where the Japanese crowd appears to be all hyped up, in their own respectful way, for the blockbuster match that is to come as American star, Alex Shelley, makes a pit stop in their country to defend his beloved Ersatz Tag Team Championship. After a few moments some music begins playing through the speakers, signaling to the people that this epic clash of tag teams is just about ready to begin.



The cameras follow The TimeSplitters as they continue to make their way backstage, perhaps more relived that they’d care to admit that they didn’t lose the fake-yet-real tag team championships that Shelley has proudly carried around for almost a year. Shelley is still noticeably limping while also trying to reassure Kushida, who looks quite concerned, that he’s all right. They turn a corner and when Shelley spots Borash he waves, then tells Kushida he’ll catch up with him later. Shelley gingerly walks over to Borash and shakes his leg to get the blood circulation going while Borash prepares to begin.

Jeremy Borash
Hey there, Alex, good to see you. You know, I have to say: that was a phenomenal match we were just treated to and I’m glad we were able to broadcast it back overseas so that the folks back home could enjoy it as well.



Alex Shelley
It’s good to see you too, JB. It’s nice to see a friendly and familiar face ‘round these parts. Not having to worry about the language barrier is a relief too.

Jeremy Borash
Now you can let your natural charisma shine through.

Alex Shelley
Not to mention make all the pop-culture references I want. How ‘bout that Ritchie Incognito, eh? I saw The Shield bring him up last week, so I’m sure he’s a real stand-up guy. And I’m glad you enjoyed the match. Funny, for a pair of belts that aren’t officially recognized, The Hooligans sure as hell fought us like their lives were on the line.

Jeremy Borash
Well how could you blame them? They were facing one half of the most-popular teams in the states, not to mention that you’re a former singles champion in your own right.

Alex Shelley
You do have a point there: I guess I am pretty damn good now that I think about it.

Jeremy Borash
Careful, Alex, you let your ego grow any bigger and you’ll be one bad haircut away from being mistaken for The Miz.



Alex Shelley
Minus the World Championship, of course. He appears to be doing pretty well for himself since losing at The Monster Bash and taking out my tag partner in one fell swoop. Glad he was compensated accordingly.

Jeremy Borash
While being World Champ is surely great for him and his career, how many people can say they were personally invited to compete in Japan and blew the roof off the place? Did Chris handle being replaced well?

Alex Shelley
He was pretty let down, to tell the truth.

Jeremy Borash
I can only imagine. You guys have been secretly planning this for months.

Alex Shelley
Only for the plans to fall through at the last second. And for a second I was considering bringing back the ol’ Chris Sabin cutout for one more match, but then I heard they planned to pair me up with Kushida and he was a really great guy, so Cardboard Chris had to stay on the bench for this one.

Jeremy Borash
You could say that the fans got a better match because of it.



Alex Shelley
Well I don’t know about that, Cardboard Chris is a workhorse in the ring and the gym. And we’ve had a lot more time to work on our chemistry.

Jeremy Borash
You say that, but you two looked like a well-oiled machine in that ring. Like you’ve been tagging for years, in fact.

Alex Shelley
I have that effect on people. In tag-team wrestling you’ve got to put your egos aside for the sake of the duo and I’ve done my fair share of that. Plus, Chris would kill me if I did something to jeopardize the match and lost the titles.

Jeremy Borash
He can’t kill you if he can’t catch you, and judging based on his current condition I’d say you’re in the clear, at least for now. Speaking of injuries, how are you holding up after that match? I couldn’t help but notice you’ve been limping a little bit.

Alex Shelley
Worst case scenario is that I pulled a Sabin and I’ll disappear for months to heal while playing videogames all day and eating a disturbing amount of pancakes.

Jeremy Borash
Excuse me if I’m out of line here but he does seem to have a unhealthy obsession with them. I don’t just mean because of the high fat and calorie content.

Yeah, I wasn’t really sure how to react after that either. It was just one of those moments where all you can do is back slowly out of the room while simultaneously wiping the moment from your mind.

I appreciate the concern, but it’s over and I’m a better man now because of it. But I digress; I’m hoping that what’s going on with my leg is just a little nagging pain that I can hopefully walk off. If that fails, I’ll try to sleep it off and if my leg is still giving me trouble after all of that then I may have no choice but to consider retirement.

Jeremy Borash
I’m sure AJ Styles would be heartbroken over the news.

Alex Shelley
Can’t break what you don’t have. Besides, he was nowhere to be seen on Breakdown last week, and I’m hoping that he didn’t follow me all the way over here, so for at least the moment I can enjoy my life being Styles free.

Jeremy Borash
So you’re just willing to let go of what he did to you at The Monster Bash?

Alex Shelley
Don’t you see what’s happening? They’re already assuming that that I’m going to dedicate the rest of my career in the name of vengeance against the phenomenal one, it’ll only get worse from here on out if I actually do go against my word and humor him.

Jeremy Borash
I assume you’re talking about the Number One Contender’s match scheduled between Joey Ryan and Triple H, two men who have recently formed tag teams of their own. Many are saying that we’re nearing the birth of the tag division you and Chris have always wanted.



Alex Shelley
Well if they’re really saying that, then they haven’t been paying close attention this past year. We’ve been through this before: where the future looks bright and promising before it all goes dark again faster than Kenny King was champion. Right now, I’m not worried about Dashingly Sleazy, DX, nWo and the rest. FYI, “the rest” does include AJ Styles, and I hope he stays exactly wherever he is.

Jeremy Borash
So what are you planning to do once you get back to the states?

Alex Shelley
I’m going to kick back, relax, call up a few lady friends and we’re all going to get all hot and sweaty playing with each other all night long. They may have stopped making new Rockband games, but you play with the right people and it never gets old.

Jeremy Borash
It certainly never gets old talking with you, Alex. I’ll let you enjoy your victory.

I’ll catch you back in XWL, and once I return I’m going to pick up right where I left off before this mini-vacation. I’m not going to let them fall back into the old habit of overlooking and underutilizing me. I don’t care if it’s the United States Championship again, or if I get to try my luck and go for the Intercontinental or World Championship, hell, I’m sure me and AJ, Lee that is, can make some magic in the ring if they let us.

The cameras move on from the latest segment to a short video package, for Dashingly Sleazy. (apparently the greatest XWL team ever, or so rumours say. <3 Jon)



As the video package comes to a close the cameras go backstage to show none other than The Animal Batista! Back in XWL once again. As he is walking down the corridor he is stopped by Josh Matthews.

Hey Batista, can I just get a quick word.

Batista
Sure Josh, what’s up?

Josh Matthews
Nothing much really, first of all just let me say how great it is to finally see you back in XWL once again after quite a quiet period from you. Care to explain where you’ve been and what you’ve been doing?



Batista
That’s a good question, where has Batista been? What exactly has Batista done? Where is the very same animal that burst onto the scene 2 years ago, taking out MVP, taking out Christian, beating RVD and becoming the face of Breakdown while carrying the Money In The Bank. Every since that loss to Wade Barrett, things went on a downward spiral. I couldn’t get focused and was in and out of a job. This last years been tough, the people haven’t seen the same animal that they used to know. The other superstars and new rookies coming in have only seen a Batista who is only 50 percent in the game. They haven’t seen the reason just why I got that nickname in the first place. People are not as intimidated as they used to be and superstars are thinking that they can come against me and get the win of their careers just as easy as that. I think that needs to come to a stop, tonight.



Batista
It’s funny because in the time in which I’ve been all over the place a lot has changed on Breakdown, we have new General Managers, new top superstars and people have come and gone. Superstars who were on top like Wade have just vanished, MVP made a small return after yours truly sent him packing over to wrestle in Japan for a few months but where is he now? Justin Gabriel? Evan Bourne? Sheamus? Undertaker? You look at all those top superstars and none of them have stuck around. That’s why I’m back, to make a difference and to prove that I still have it. I’m 6 foot 6, two hundred and ninety pounds. I have the build to be dominant. I have the power to be one of the great stars again. Tonight I’m going to prove it to everyone, just wait and seeI’ve got my head in the game once more and I’m ready to get back to where I was just a couple of years ago when I had thousands on their feet cheering my name and I was the guy. Not Ted DiBiase, The Rock, John Cena…Batista was the name they all chanted.



Josh Matthews
You mentioned Ted DiBiase, who is also your opponent tonight. What are your thoughts on him?

Batista
Ted’s a great guy. He’s one hell of a fighter, I’ll give him credit but lately I’ve been watching and I was backstage last week at Breakdown and I saw the mind games Edge played with him. I don’t think his head is going to be 100% in the match tonight, and as much as I like Ted that’s bad news because tonight I’m going in that ring to fight and to prove that Batista still has it. Edge has been playing tricks with him and I think it’s gotten to him, I mean look at him, something different is up, but well that’s not my problem. Tonight I have to prove that The Animal is back and unfortunately for Ted he’s the one that has to try and stop me. He just needs to get himself focused, because for the first time in a while I know I am. I know I’m ready to get back to where I was and although I have people who I’d like to think are my friends, here in the back, that doesn’t mean in the ring I won’t give it my all. I know Ted and he wouldn’t expect any less from me in a fight, and I’m the same.

Josh Matthews
Well I know everyone including myself is looking forward to seeing you back in an XWL ring once more. But before you leave and go get your final preparations done, what does the future hold for Dave Batista this time around?



Batista
That’s easy. It’s the one thing which every superstar wants, the one thing which I had in the grasp of my hand when I cashed in my Money In The Bank briefcase and the one thing which caused a downward spiral over the last year. I want to be actually no, I will be world heavyweight champion. That’s my aim. That should be everyone’s aim, to get to the top of the ladder and be proud to know you are the very best in this company at this moment in time. Now I don’t care how long it takes, how long I have to bust my ass off in the gym getting my fitness back together or if I’ll win another title and I’ll have to hold on to that for a bit, it’s fine. I’ve waited years to get my hands on the world title, I can wait a little longer. But believe me, it’s time to start showing what I’m really capable off.

Batista walks off down the corridor as the camera fades out with Josh Matthews looking on for a few moments.

Razor Tonight you will never forgot the name *wheee Goldust*

Breakdown comes back from another commercial break, this time we immediately cut backstage where the General Manager Stephanie McMahon is casually roaming the halls.



She's messing with her cellphone, not paying attention along the way to her destination, but a few steps more, and she suddenly stops herself and turns her head to the side, lowering her phone.



Has she arrived? Or is there someone in her way, perhaps waiting on her?

[Stephanie McMahon]
Excuse me, can I help you?

The camera shifts over the left, revealing that the person in question is none other than Mr. Money in the Bank, Ted DiBiase! He's leaned on the wall directly next to her office door, and his briefcase hangs from his tightly clinched fist.



[Ted DiBiase]
As a matter of fact, you can.

Ted grabs Stephanie's office door handle, and turns it slightly, opening it up, and motions for her to enter.

[Stephanie McMahon]
You're lucky my schedule is pretty open tonight, or else I'd be entering that office alone.

DiBiase doesn't react to what she said, so she puts her phone away by dropping it into her pocket, then walks past Ted, entering her office. He waits a moment before entering behind her, pulling the door behind him, but not all the way, which allows the cameras to keep track of the scene. Stephanie takes a seat on the far left sofa in the room, while Ted decides to sit on the second, placing his case down on the table in full view.


[Stephanie McMahon]
So to what do I owe this unexpected meeting, Ted?



[Ted DiBiase]
Firstly, I'd like to formally congratulate you on being General Manager, it's nice to have someone that isn't dead set on making my life a living hell for once.


[Stephanie McMahon]
Well unlike Vickie, I try my best to not mix business with personal matters.


[Ted DiBiase]
I wish I could say the same, but everything in business has been "personal" for me this last year.



[Stephanie McMahon]
Right, this dispute between yourself and Edge, I'm going to let it slide that you destroyed one of our cameras last week, because I know you've been through a lot, and it's messed with your emotions, but as the son of The Million Dollar man, you best learn the value of a dollar before a whole lot of them are taken out of your check for the damages you cause.


[Ted DiBiase]
You don't get it, Stephanie...


[Stephanie McMahon]
Oh, but I do. You're letting your personal feelings, cloud what's in front of you.


[Ted DiBiase]
What's in front of me?


[Stephanie McMahon]
Need I spell it out for you?

Stephanie's gaze directs itself to The Money in the Bank briefcase that Ted is in possession of.



[Stephanie McMahon]
Last week would've been the perfect opportunity for you to cap off the first night in a new era, a night where all new champions were crowned, that momentum surely could have allowed you to trade that little case in for something a little more, golden.



[Ted DiBiase]
Maybe so, but it's my choice, remember? I had bigger matters to attend to, like getting my hands on the no good son of a-


[Stephanie McMahon]
But that's your problem, Ted. You have the golden ticket you've been after, no one can take that away from you, but it's like your head isn't where it should be. Your eyes are on the wrong target, Edge may make your blood boil, but at the end of the day, hasn't your last year been filled with enough personal stuff? Wouldn't you rather move past it all, and lead this new era? Start back off, where you were cut off over a year ago?



[Ted DiBiase]
...It's a nice thought, but I've been through too much to believe that it's just that simple.


[Stephanie McMahon]
But it is, Vickie's gone, I'm in control now, and as your boss, it's my duty to ensure that you and everyone else never falls victim to an outright abuse of power like you have before. It's time to let this go, seize the opportunity when it arises, don't let it zip past you. Edge isn't worth it, nobody is worth losing sleep over, obsessing about to this degree, especially not when you have that.


Stephanie points at Ted's case, which makes him look at it as well.




[Ted DiBiase]
I just need one more match, give me Edge tonight, let me have my revenge...

[Stephanie McMahon]
Revenge is overrated, you don't see myself or my father unleashing a vengeance on those that left us all those years ago, do you? Because this is a fresh start, if you cling to the past, you'll never move forward.


[Ted DiBiase]
I realize that, but after the year I've had...it's the past that won't let go of me...beating Cody was supposed to end all of this, but no...Edge just had to come back, he had to waltz back into my life, he had to play more mind games, pretend to be different, changed....HE HASN'T CHANGED A SINGLE BIT!

[Stephanie McMahon]
But do you know who has? You Ted, you've changed. The battle is over, you can let this wall down, you can be that care free man that we always loved in The WWE. You had such a positive outook on everything, you enjoyed yourself even when doing the littlest of things...you have a World Heavyweight Championship match at your disposal, and you're sitting here begging me for a match with someone who has nothing to do with that. Do you realize what's wrong with that?


[Ted DiBiase]
I didn't come here for a pep talk, I came to you for a match, now are you going to give me Edge, or not?


[Stephanie McMahon]
Even if I wanted to, I can't. Edge is already scheduled in a match against someone else, the same goes for you. As an attempt to wake you up and get your eye back on the actual prize around here...I've set up a match involving you and the recently returned Batista. He let that opportunity that you have go to waste, he put personal issues at the forefront, instead of to the side, and when the time came to "move on" he became the first Mr. Money in the Bank to FAIL. It's something he's yet to recover from after all these years, don't make the same mistake he did.


[Ted DiBiase]
I don't plan on it...you're right, I need to move on, I need to...I need to put all of this behind me. It's time this story, has a happy ending...

DiBiase's eyes intensify, his tone is calmer than it was, and in a matter of seconds he grabs his case, stands up, holds the briefcase up in the air as he gazes at it....then quickly exits Stephanie's office.



A second later Stephanie stands up, staring off in the direction Ted left, and shows off a coy smile before we fade away.

The camera returns to the show, where the commentary teams begins discussing the big show.


{Jim Ross}
Folks, we've had one heck of a night so far and it's only just getting started!

{Michael Cole}
And coming up right now is a big surprise apparently....not that I actually think so.

{Jerry Lawler}
You don't think it's a big surprise?! It's huge! And here comes the surprise right now!


Justin Roberts steps into the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen of Cameron, North Carolina, please welcome back to his home in this ring for one night only!















{Justin Roberts}
MATT HARDY!


The fans pop HUGE, as he shoot through the curtain causing the cheers to pick up as he does his signature taunts towards the fans! He struts down the ramp and dives into the ring, visibly excited to be back in XWL.





{Matt Hardy}
That is right! I am back for ONE! NIGHT! ONLY! And they said I have as much time as I need to talk to you people about it. I have been doing some stuff from place to place and living an awesome life but once I heard that XWL was coming to Cameron I just had to get in on the fun. So we talked and said that they could give one of Cameron's hometown heroes time to speak and I brought a surpri....!





The lights go out and the fan snap into silence trying to figure out what is happening. Suddenly, a flicker of light appears on the screen, right after vigorous rocking can heard.


{???}
Hero?

The fans begin to boo as they know realize what is happening.





{Bray Wyatt}
Heroes, there are no such things, all men are tainted...evil. Heroes are those who don't live long enough to see themselves become that evil. You see Matthew, I AM EVIL. But I have come to accept that my role is not one of being a good man, a fair man but being the one who cleanses this world of it's filth. Lies, deceit, and fraud have cause these people to be blind Matthew because you are NOT one of the chosen and lucky few who die before they see themselves become engulfed by the temptations of sin. You are a sheep disguised as a shepard, I myself am the only shepard fit to lead the sheep to this new world and you.....you aren't worth the trip.





{Bray Wyatt}
I and my brothers are the one's chosen to decide the worthy from those who are not. Don't be concerned, you still have a role in all of this. Your role is to show these sheep what they need to acknowledge as unacceptable in our new world. You are indeed the epitome of my disdain of this world, well you and your blood. Your brother and yourself are shrouded in lies, acting as if these sheep are your peers and that you care for them but both of you are only concerned with your legacy and what that last name of yours can bring you in worldly gains! We, in front of your "faithful fans", are going to make an example and show these sheep the path to salvation.





The lights go out, for a moment before a close up of The Wyatt's appears on the titantron.

The Wyatt Family begins strutting down to the ring, lantern in Bray's hand and both men stalking behind him.





They reach the base of the ramp and Wyatt takes his seat. He lifts the lantern to his face and....

There go the lights!


{Jerry Lawler}
We all saw how this went last week with Zack Ryder, Matt better get out of there before it's too late!


{Jim Ross}
It's already too late, King.




With the arena a solid pitch black, we know what's getting ready to go down, but the question is, will Matt be ready for it? Or will he be yet another victim at the hands of The Wyatt Family? Flashes from cameras going off are the only source of light, that is until the arena is suddenly illuminated when the lights turn back on, and there's Harper and Rowan surrounding Matt Hardy, leaving him no choice but to fight, or fall.


{Jerry Lawler}
I can't watch!


{Jim Ross}
Ladies and gentlemen if you've got kids in the room, I'd send them away right now, this is not going to be something you want the little ones to see.


Matt looks at his taped fists, and then makes the first move, punching Erick right in the face! But he's not phased a single bit! Hardy starts to slowly back away, expecting to do a least some damage, but it's as if he didn't even hit him! Matt's perhaps attempt to call it a day and live to fight another day, doesn't pan out as well as he perhaps was thinking...because he backs right into Luke, and it's then that he turns around cautiously and is floored by a vicious discus clothesline that nearly takes his head off!


{Michael Cole}
Down he goes, Matt Hardy's just been taken out by Luke Harper's impressive clothesline, it's as savage as he looks and Matt just found that out the hard way.


{Jim Ross}
This isn't going to end well for Matt Hardy.


Like wild animals Harper and Rowan begin to stomp on Matt, showing no mercy, and showing no signs of letting up. The boos are pouring in, and all while Bray watches in his rocking chair, going back n forth in a methodical way. He's enjoying this, he's watching his subjects fulfill their purpose and it's a purpose that unfortunately will make an example of Matt Hardy. Harper pulls Matt's near motionless corpse off the mat, holding his hair up in a tight grip, then looks at Rowan and suddenly throws Matt into the corner with a strong whip that Matt barely remains standing after. Hardy's in prime position for it now, Erick's about to deliver a HUGE splash into the corner, this isn't good, so why are the fans cheering?!





{Jerry Lawler}
What the?!


{Michael Cole}
Was that just a fan snatching a chair from the time keeper?!


{Jim Ross}
He's getting into the ring! Who the hell is that?!


With a huge swing, the fan pummels Erick in the back with a spine shattering shot from the chair!  


{Michael Cole}
They just struck Rowan!


{Jerry Lawler}
Wait a second, that's no fan!


{Jim Ross}
IS THAT?! IT'S JEFF HARDY!



The fans are going ballistic as Jeff Hardy strikes Rowan again with another hard shot that drops him to the mat! Luke comes charging at him, but gets met with the same treatment, a strong blow from the chair that sends him stumbling back but he charges onward, only to be hit again, nailed right in between his eyes and he falls backwards like a tree in a forest!



{Michael Cole}
Jeff Hardy rushing to the aid of his brother Matt!



{Jim Ross}
I can't believe it, I thought Matt was done for!



{Jerry Lawler}
We all did, if Jeff hadn't stepped in things would have gotten ugly!



Jeff throws the chair to the mat, dropping to his brother's side, checking on him, furious at what he just had to sit through until he couldn't sit there any more. But his eyes quickly turn to Bray Wyatt, who has gotten up out of his seat, and stares at Jeff with a with his arms spread wide, and a sinister chuckle being let out in a way that creeps out the fans unfortunately near him.



An emotionally upset Hardy grips the ropes tightly with both hands yelling out "Try that on me!" but his screaming is only met by continued laughter all until we abruptly cut out.

[[Punk]]:: Every person lives in fear. Every person that is brought into this World is cursed to live with the same fear that is niggling away at them in the back of their mind, some of them lose their mind due to the fear, while others live in denial and pretend that there is noting to be afraid of but at the end of the day that fear eventually becomes a reality and then we see how a person can deal with those fears and whether or not they can move on or simply just give up. Everyone has this fear, everyone shares the same fear and you can shrug your shoulders and pretend you don't know what I am talking about or you simply might not realise the fact yet but you too share the burden of this curse.



[[Punk]]:: Everyone here, whatever you do in your life you all take pride in what you do and there is no shame in that. When you do something good it gives you a sense of well being and why shouldn't you be proud of your hard work? But you all fear that some day, someone will come along and do a better job then you could ever dream of doing. I know everyone in the back is afraid of that very fact, they could be on the biggest roll of their life, they could be picking up win, after win, after win until one day they are confronted by that one person, that one man or woman that they know they can never beat, that they know they will never be able to get the best of and then they will have to come face to face with what type of person that they really are, will they be able to bounce back or will that just set the ball in motion? It could be on downhill from that point on.



[[Punk]]:: They fear it and their fears could come a reality by anyone, it could be an absolute stranger, it could be their best friend, it could be their spouse or it could be their own child and then their World will be turned upside down. A lot of you are looking at me right now saying to yourself that it will never happen, I sure as hell know that nearly everyone in the back right now is laughing to themselves and thinking that this will never happen but they will learn the hard way, they will live in denial for as long as they can until the hard hitting reality snaps them back into the real World and once again I will be proved right.



[[Punk]]:: There is one, however that does not have to live with this curse, that is free to live without this fear and that person is CM Punk. It's not that I am immune to fear, it's the simple fact that there is nobody out there who is better than CM Punk, there is not a living soul on this Earth that I can't beat. There have been many people in this company, who have made the same claims, who have made the same challenges and the same threats and I have taken them all down, one by one they have all fallen by the hand of CM Punk. The old guard have all fallen, the new generation is quickly falling and this will continue, this will be the same song and dance for a long time to come and has been ever since I first walked into this company.



[[Punk]]:: But it's not all fine, I have to live with a curse that is much, much worse than what every other average Joe has to live with. You see, I have to live with every Tom, Dick and Harry approaching me and thinking that they are better than they really are, I am constantly confronted by people who have high ambitions and I can't blame them for that, but there is having high ambitions and then there is being simply foolish by taking on the likes of me. I have to be that hard dose of reality, I am the person that everybody fears because it doesn't get any better than CM Punk, last week the up and coming Roman Reigns had to find that out the hard way, one of the so called new generation that is flooding into this company took on the Best and he ended up counting stars after I put him on the canvas for the three.



[[Punk]]::That was a man who was a human wrecking ball, he had everything going for him and he still couldn't get the job done and this week, the person that decided to bite off more than he can chew is none other than Santino Marella. If somebody like Roman Reigns couldn't continue his path of destruction because of me how does somebody who is nothing more than a comedy act expect to get the better of CM Punk? I'm sorry, he could be the nicest guy for all I know, he could have a lot of capabilities, he could've beat anyone before this moment but at the end of the day he is about to come up against the Best in the World and no amount of effort, skill or ability will be able to overcome that.



[[Punk]]:: So Santino, I beg you, I urge you to bring your best and if you will think it will help bring your joke book because you are going to need every little trick in your book to just try to get a foot hold in this match. But be prepared for the inevitable, be prepared to learn the same lesson that Roman had to learn last week and that the rest of the of the new generation will learn shortly after and that is that I am the fear in the back of your mind, I am better than you, so bring it all, bring out the cobra because you're looking at a snake charmer, I will turn everything you have against you and then just like that I will put you to sleep and continue on my path and continue to show everybody in that locker room that CM Punk is back. This isn't a return to form, this isn't a comeback, this is proving everything that I have ever said. At the end of the day, no matter what new talent comes through those doors, CM Punk is and will always be the Best in the World!

A quick recap of the Wyatt Family's attack on Matt Hardy flashes on the titantron, it's followed up by the unexpected return of Jeff Hardy rushing to the aid of his brother Matt, then concludes with an angry Jeff shouting at Bray to "try that on him." The next sight we see is an extremely close up shot of a man sitting backstage, his hands pressed together as if he were conflicted by something, maybe even deep in thought.




But it's right away that we notice the tattoo markings, and the painted nails, not too many men match this description, but a confirmation on this person's identity doesn't take long.



It's Jeff Hardy, the fans can be heard popping in response, but he just sits there with his head lowered, his eyes staring down at the floor, is he worried about his brother after the savage attack that he thankfully stopped before it went too far? Or is there another reason why he's so trapped in his own mind that he doesn't notice the cameraman standing right there. However it's impossible for him to stay so oblivious for long because the clacking sound of heels can be heard not far away, and as he looks up, there the General Manager stands.


[Stephanie McMahon]
What the hell was that out there?

Hardy remains silent, Stephanie's tone expressing that she's not too happy with him jumping the railing, even if it was to defend his brother.

[Stephanie McMahon]
Do I need to remind you that I offered you a contract last week over the phone, and you told me point blank, that you were putting wrestling behind you because you were tired of being that "screw up?"

Again she's met by no reply which only makes her continue.


[Stephanie McMahon]
Your brother was the one out there getting the chance to show us what he was made of, to perhaps get a deal of his own. Now I understand you were simply trying to protect Matt, but you have no authority to hop that barricade at any time, or even attack one of my superstars, do I make myself clear?

Still instead of responding he just sits there staring blankly.


[Stephanie McMahon]
Well? Answer me! I can have you arrested for what you did, I know it's been a tough year for you, but that doesn't excuse the fact that you assaulted two people out there, you're a fan, fans cannot do what you did, no matter if it was right or not. This is my second week on the job, I don't need lawsuits popping up because fans decide to dictate what's right and what's not. The Wyatt Family will be dealt with my way, so maybe you should get your brother and go home, the trainers have said he'll be okay. I'm sorry things didn't work out for him tonight, maybe next time

She gets closer to him, waving her hand in his face.

Maybe I've changed my mind.


[Stephanie McMahon]

Maybe running away isn't the answer, maybe worrying about making another mistake, is making me make the biggest mistake of them all.

I'm tired of being pathetic, I'm tired of messing up every opportunity that ever comes my way...maybe that's why I didn't give your offer any thought, maybe I was saving you the trouble, maybe I just didn't think I had it in me to ever be anything more than a walking mistake. But sitting out there, watching my brother, seeing him get attacked and all just so those Wyatts could send some sort of a message...well a message was delivered to me instead. It was as loud as my creatures of night when they roar to the rooftops, it was clearer than the paint dried on my nails, I knew then, my purpose had not yet been fulfilled.

There's always going to be people telling me I'm nothing, there's always going to be those that use my past to demonize me, well you know what, I am a demon...I'm full of demons, I've overcome them, I've fallen to them, but each and every time, I get stronger and stronger. Next week, you give me The Wyatt Family, you give my brother the chance they took from him, the revenge he's after, the pain they deserve...the reunion my creatures hunger for!

I'm not one to give into demands, but you've got it!

[Jeff Hardy]
No, WE'VE got it! And The Wyatt Family...ARE GOING TO GET IT!


Jeff stands up, staring Stephanie square in her eyes, nudges his head to the door, maybe telling her to the lead the way to her office. We're not sure what exactly this was supposed to tell her, but she picks up on it and heads out of the door, Jeff closely following behind her as we fade.

An image is shown of Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez entering the building and walking alongside each as they make their way to Del Rio’s dressing room. Del Rio tonight faces an ex world heavyweight champion respectively in Chris Jericho just the week after losing the title to the Miz. Ricardo can be seen but not heard giving Del Rio some words of advice and trying to lift the mood of not only his boss, but his best friend. It is obvious with the body language and facial expression of Alberto Del Rio that he is far from happy losing his title in the manor that he did. Just as Ricardo drops back and taps his good friend on the back giving him the extra space he might need at such a time is soon taken by surprise as an unknown figure dressed in all black with a mask comes up from behind Ricardo and clutches him around the body and slaps his hand over his mouth. As Del Rio carries on walking down the corridor with his mind clearly someplace else, Ricardo fails to worm his way out of the grips of the masked man and is soon picked up and slammed down hard on the concrete floor. Ricardo could be lay unconscious right now and Del Rio doesn’t have the slightest idea.



As Del Rio ponders on the growing sound of running footsteps catch his attention as he turns around not only seeing that Ricardo is missing but also turning into a deadly clothesline from the masked man. This figure then continues to kick and stomp away at the ex world heavyweight champion. Not going down without a fight Del Rio makes attempts to grab hold of the attacker’s legs to no avail. However, pushing the attacker back far enough to get to his knees Del Rio is soon then put back down as the attacker reached back and hit Del Rio over the head with a plank of wood. Del Rio’s body falls lifeless face down as the masked figure walks away and with his back turned tosses his mask onto the floor.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

As XWL returns from its short commercial break we now brought backstage to where it seems to look like the Miz is stood talking with ex XWL superstar and former XWL 15 champion Alex Riley.

Alex Riley
Hey, Miz. I’ve done what needed to be do. Now for your part of the bargain.



Miz
Hey there Riley. Nice to see you too. What’s it like being back here in XWL eh? It’s been a while right? And for my part of the bargain? Well c’mon you know I can’t just take your word for it. I need to see that the jobs done properly. You didn’t just expect me to hand over that sort of money without proof did you? Come back and see me at the end of the night and then we’ll talk.



Alex Riley
No we won’t. We’ll talk right here right now. You needed somebody to do a dangerous job for you and I stepped up and I did it for you. You know how hard it was for me to even get in this building considering I don’t work here anymore? I had to be that careful nobody saw me I had to wear a disguise. Not being contracted here and doing that kind of stuff can land somebody in jail. Now I ran that risk for you I’m sure you can run the small risk of handing over the money you promised and trusting me in that I did a good job.



Miz
Well you see that doesn’t quite work for me. How do I know that you didn’t even do what it is I asked you to do and you’re just trying to scam me? You can’t out think a genius Riley its science. But, considering you did take a considerable risk for me I’ll fix out any problems that could arise from the situation. You say you wore a disguise right? Nobody knows what you did but us. But, just in the small case anybody does find out what happened then I can sort that out with ease. You see, this baby right here on my shoulder means I’m untouchable. It means that me and McMahon’s are super tight. I can walk right into Stephanie’s office right now and tell her to hire you and she will listen to me. She will do it because I know best because I’m the world heavyweight champion.



Miz
Now, keep your head down, get out of here, go home or go do whatever is you usually do. I will see for myself if you did the job properly and then you will get your money. Why would I lie? I have no reason too. And if you’re confident you got the job done than you should have no problem with waiting until I see for myself will you now. We have all the risks tied up so it’s a win win situation. Now get out of here before anybody finds me talking to you I have stuff to be doing.
