As Redemption goes on the air, we cut to inside the arena where the New Hampshire crowd stand excitedly cheering as the opening pyrotechnics go off.We then scan around the arena where fan's hold their signs in support of top superstars such as The Miz, CM Punk, Ted DiBiase, and John Cena. After showcasing the uniquely made signs we're taken ringside to our commentary team consisting of Joey Styles and Michael Cole.{Joey Styles}Good evening everyone, and welcome to Redemption! We're live here in Manchester New Hampshire, and what a night we have in store for you.
{Michael Cole}That's right Joey, you're all going to enjoy tonight's show because not only are we having some amazing match-ups, but we've got a championship going down tonight as well, tell everyone at how about that, Joey.
{Joey Styles}I'd be glad to, recently over on Breakdown, The Brian Kendrick, the X-treme Champion, has been adamant about a cause, a division most didn't recognize is now turning into quite the talk of the locker room. Superstars that aren't as recognized as some of our top superstars have been complaining that they haven't been given a fair shot, which brought about the official naming of a new division, the X-treme division, where a title that embodies XWL is now being utilized like never before, and the "savior" of this division will have his first official defense tonight here on Redemption.
{Michael Cole}That's correct, Kendrick will be defending against a superstar that's taken Redemption by storm, Michael McGillicutty, son of the late great Mr. Perfect has recently been involved in quite the rivalry with fellow third generation superstar, Ted DiBiase. Even scoring so far two huge victories over this very well known fortunate son. Tonight he gets an opportunity to do something that Ted himself has not been able to do in over a year.
{Joey Styles}He could become champion tonight, and that'd be the ultimate form of bragging rights to this young man, because he would have done something Ted has not quite been able to since arriving in XWL, and that's winning a championship.
{Michael Cole}So will the champion prevail, or will Michael McGillicutty win the first of many championships in XWL tonight?
{Joey Styles}We've also got a revisited rivalry taking place tonight. Michelle McCool and Natalya Neidhart, two divas that have been at each others throats on numerous occasions, both have scored pinfall and submission victories over the other, tonight they collide one on one, and after Natalya's two match win streak as of late, one has to wonder if she'll make this a third?
{Michael Cole}Or will Michelle McCool use this match as a chance to reenter herself as what she once was in this division? Can she pull off a victory here tonight? Will Natalya's rival Kelly Kelly choose to make herself noticed at some point in or after the match?
{Joey Styles}Well you know Kelly has to have her mind set of getting Natalya back after what transpired last week.
{Michael Cole}Oh most definitely, Natalya scored a some call cheap victory over Kelly Kelly after several matches against Kelly have all ended with the former Divas Champion coming out on top.
{Joey Styles}Natalya wanted one last match with Kelly last week, to prove she could beat her, she claimed Kelly cheated in the past matches, but the irony of it all is the only way Natalya could beat Kelly was to cheat. We'll certainly see something transpire between the two tonight, Kelly has proven recently she will not back down from a threat like Natalya has been here in XWL.
{Michael Cole}And then the best match of all tonight, will be the main-event, where The Miz will go on to defeat that goofball, Ted DiBiase.
{Joey Styles}I think you mean he'll face him, we don't know who could come out on top in that one, if I'm correct it's the first time they've faced in XWL, and Ted is coming off a very big win over John Cena in last week's main-event.
{Michael Cole}Oh please, you're still on about that love fest? The Miz will not let Ted catch his breath because he's a real athlete, he's going to kick Ted's ass and that's a fact! We're going to get an actual main-event this week, one that will have an actually entertaining ending. With The Miz standing tall, as Redemption comes to a close with it's future World Champion celebrating.
{Joey Styles}I still stand by my opinion, I liked the match, it was fresh, it was friendly, you don't see that happen often in wrestling.
{Michael Cole}Because it's wrestling! It's not ballet, it's about kicking the other person's ass, not patting them on the back every time you do a move.
{Joey Styles}The conclusion really left us with a lot of excitement as well. The Rock interupting their friendly celebration, it's clearly not over between The Rock and John Cena, and it seems as if something is there between Ted and The Rock too. Ted wasn't his usual friendly self, including a rather insulting theft of one of The Rock's famous phrases.
{Michael Cole}Blah blah blah, no one cares about Ted DiBiase or John Cena, and are we forgetting that The Rock beat John Cena at November To Remember? And who stood tall last week? Was it John Cena? Was it Ted DiBiase? No it was The Rock, he proved that even after competing in a match against Michael McGillicutty that he could still whoop both of their asses in a one on two situation.
{Joey Styles}Eh something tells me John Cena will definitely have some words for The Rock after last week.
{Michael Cole}Honestly who cares?
{Joey Styles}I do...I care, John Cena is one of the biggest names in this business, he's not gonna back down from a fight.
{Michael Cole}Name someone that matters...
{Joey Styles}...One of these days, Cole...
{Michael Cole}Yeah whatever, let's get back to the main-event, a match people will actually care about, not because everyone's favorite panderer Ted DiBiase will be in it, but because the biggest superstar yet to be World Champion, The Miz, will be in one on one action and after The Undertaker's completely uncalled for involvement in Miz's match last week, Miz is going to show that biker punk how it's done! He'll beat Ted, which is something The Undertaker couldn't do for three straight months! You hear me Undertaker? You can ride your fancy bike around the ring all you want, The Miz is better than you and he'll prove it tonight by doing something you couldn't!
{Joey Styles}Anyways, back to tonight's main-event, Miz has had quite a few comments towards Ted over the previous months, you have to wonder if Miz will be able to back up all of his claims of Ted DiBiase, or if he'll be in for a reality check come the conclusion of tonight's show.
{Michael Cole}Don't ever use one of The Miz's words again, Miz won't lose to that embarrassment known as Ted DiBiase. He'll beat him with ease and prove exactly why he's The Miz, and he's AWESOME!
{Joey Styles}So I can't say words Miz has, yet you can rip off his catchphrase?
{Michael Cole}Because he and I are close personal friends, Miz knows I'm the best damn commentator in this company, just like he's the most must see superstar in XWL history!
{Joey Styles}Right...
And Redemption rolls on to the next segment
No one else did one so I thought why not do a commentary opening like only I can by hyping up stuff in an extremely detailed way? Plus Cole marking over The Miz is just too easy to type.
