DEADLINE: 4:30 P.M. EST / 9:30 P.M. GMT

-/-  News heading into tonight's show  -/-

1.  Is That All You Got?

XWL's reigning superstar of the year Matt Sydal has been involved in an increasingly personal feud with the Bullet Club, and last week's anarchy raised the stakes even higher as his confrontation with the Switchblades left him bloodied on the ground. No one doubts that Sydal is one of the most talented superstars in the locker room, but is he good enough to take on the Bullet Club who continue to run rampant all over the XWL roster?

2.   Reunited

At this point, everyone knows about the war raging on between Bad News Barrett and the Cabinet. Blows have been traded back and forth for months, with the numbers weighing against Barrett. Mr. Money In the Bank Sami Zayn has now once again become entangled into the feud after his match against Aiden English was ruined by JBL. The former co-combatants against JBL will be teaming up this week against JBL and English in a tag match. With the numbers evened out, how will the Cabinet respond?

3. Caught in the Trap

At Emergence, Peyton Royce put on a strong showing against Women's Champion April, and the two will once again be fighting for the title at Roulette. Ruby Riot is ready and waiting to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase should she feel the urge to, and with that threat looming, Peyton and April will have to keep their eyes open. As a bit of a foreshadowing of what could happen, April and Ruby will face off in a non-title match this week. A win for Ruby could send a strong message to the champ, while a loss could seriously hamper her momentum.

4.  GLORIOUS

Bobby Roode claimed a glorious victory over Samoa Joe, putting an end to his Intercontinental title reign as quickly as it had begun. Having risen through the ranks so quickly, what will Roode's next step be? Who will rise up to challenge him? There are a handful of former HBK competitors still hoping for a shot. Will it be one of them or will Sami Callihan's message to Bobby Roode last week prove to be strong enough to land himself as the glorious one's first challenger?  Stay tuned this week as Roode takes on Elite champion Finn Balor in a non-title match.

[Mauro Ranallo]
What a win for Matt Sydal!

[Corey Graves]
No matter what you think about this man, there's no one quite like him. An incredible win over a very promising upstart in Eli Drake, who was moments away from potentially defeating Roman Reigns once again.

[Mauro Ranallo]
But as a reminder of who Matt Sydal is, in his last Triple Threat Match, which saw his rematch for The World Championship slip out of his grasp when Edge was pinned by The then Broken King...Sydal wasn't about to let that happen ever again, much less tonight.

As Sydal's infectious tune turns the audience into a choir literally singing his praises, The Golden One's hand leans against the ladder that aided him in stunning Drake in order to finish it with the "Here It Is Driver" he shrugs and mouths "I gotta give the assist to my good friend here" flashing a smile as we drown in the cheers. Roman's dropped out of the ring to the floor, sitting with his head in his lap, frustrated he couldn't use tonight to bounce back from last week, while Eli lies under the bottom rope, holding his had as well as the back of his neck. The referee grabs The Superstar Of The Year's hand and raises it signaling he's the winner all while Balor is shown watching with his title draped over his shoulder, not impressed with the match he watched from ringside..

[Corey Graves]
Picking up a win like this, his 3rd victory in 3 weeks, while The Elite Champion was watching here ringside not only sends a message, it makes a promise. He beat the other men that want the shot against Finn Balor...and if the wheel lands on him, he could very well do the same to him.

[Mauro Ranallo]
But as Sydal himself said last week, Balor is one of the more capable members of The Bullet Club, he sees him as competition....and when a guy like Matt Sydal, with a resume as long as any other man in this company, when he sees you as competition, that's when a battle between them could prove to go any direction.

[Corey Graves]
Oh absolutely, but while Roman and Eli came up short tonight, nothing motivates you, and sets you on the course for success, like a failure such as tonight. To face a man like Matt Sydal, knowing a victory could take you places you haven't been before, or perhaps haven't been to in quite a while...that drives you to seek that victory, but if you don't? That fuels you to win the battle that arguably matters more, such as if the wheel lands on a Fatal 4 Way, their goal was always to win, but to take it from the man that took this moment from them? Pettiness is often looked down on, but it's an incredible driving force to some even more incredible things, just ask our winner tonight, Matt Sydal who prides himself on that very trait.

The Golden Ticket Of XWL having punched another victory here tonight revels in it, turning his head in Balor's direction, his eyes immediately drawn to The Elite Championship. As the referee's hand lowers Sydal's, Matt fully turns to face Balor who proceeds to do what any man who's ever eying a championship does, he motions with both hands around his waist signaling to the champion that it WILL be his.

[Mauro Ranallo]
It's no secret Matt Sydal prides himself anytime he's a champion of any kind, but you have to believe that this championship, The Elite Championship also brings about a second form of motivation, the only title currently in XWL today that Sydal hasn't held.

[Corey Graves]
Which isn't from a place of failure, it was introduced last year and Sydal just hasn't found himself with the opportunity to challenge for said title. Having the stars align finally, and the chance to potentially be the one or one of the men that will at Roulette, it may feel like it's his title to win. If it were maybe any other man, but as we touched on Finn Balor isn't some other "man" he's very in touch with his..." demons."

[Mauro Ranallo]
And Matt Sydal has fought many different types of competitors over the years, but Finn Balor and the demon at that are quite unlike anything he's ever faced, and that's saying a lot.

With one message sent, Sydal doesn't stop there...he turns to the ladder that assisted him in the final moments of the match, and quickly unhinges it, setting it down flat on the mat, moving it out of the way, and steps back into the center of the ring, once more staring at The Elite Champion. With his arms at his side, his hands tilt up ever so slightly as if to say "Bring It" to Balor. Sydal seems to be inviting Balor to show him what he's made of right here, right NOW. Perhaps looking for payback after last week when Gallows & Anderson ambushed Sydal leading to a 3 on 1 assault that left Sydal at Balor's feet.

[Corey Graves]
I'm not sure it's a bright idea to invite The Elite Champion to join him in the ring, not after all the carnage that just took place.

[Mauro Ranallo]
I'd be inclined to agree but let's not forget Finn Balor is coming off an absolutely killer match with Intercontinental Champion Bobby Roode.

[Corey Graves]
Fair point, still I don't think it's a wise move on either of their parts. Save it for Roulette, if the fates allow.

Fans are eagerly on their feet, foaming at the mouth of the idea of these two clashing right here, RIGHT NOW...And while they want to see Sydal take on someone from the Bullet Club...they didn't want to see Sydal take on the Switchblades! Dean and Sami run down the ramp and slide into the ring behind Sydal who knows no better. Without warning Sami measures Sydal before landing a vicious bicycle kick to the back of his head! The Golden Ticket goes down hard as Balor laughs openly and claps.

[Mauro Ranallo]
What the hell are they doing out here?

[Corey Graves]
Sending a message to their opponent at Roulette, that's what.

[Mauro Ranallo]
The only reason they're even in a match against Sydal and his partner chosen by a wheel is that they keep doing exactly THIS!

Dean descends like a hawk on his prey swinging and clawing at Sydal as he tries to cover up from Ambrose's brutal assault. Dean lifts Sydal and holds his arms behind his back leaving him vulnerable for Sami to get some revenge for the verbal back and forth they had last week. Sami looks dead in the eyes of Sydal who simply smirks before, in a daring maneuver, spits in the face of Sami Callihan. Sami slowly wipes it off before laughing a little. Suddenly he spins and when he comes back towards Sydal it's with an elbow. The sound of impact that his elbow makes on Sydal's jaw echoes around the arena and once Dean lets him go he simply melts onto the canvas, and The Elite Champion Finn Balor ready to pick up the pieces, steps on the ribs of Eli Drake walking over him with a blatant show of disrespect to one of his potential challengers at Roulette. Then Balor grabs a hold of the second rope pulling himself up onto the apron stalking his prey Sydal.

[Mauro Ranallo]
This is just uncalled for, Balor left Sydal lying after a 3 on 1 assault last week, and now he's looking to do it again!

[Corey Graves]
Evidently, Sydal didn't get the message the first time, so he's simply going to remind him that he's in what many would call an unwinnable situation.

Balor may have plans for Sydal, but suddenly an agitated Eli Drake quickly hops up to his feet and stands directly behind Balor. He places his head between the legs of Balor and pulls him onto his shoulders. The crowd shrieks with a mixed reaction as Eli drops back without missing a beat for an electric chair drop. It appears the wind may have been knocked out of Balor has he begins coughing shortly after the loud thud of his back connecting with the mat outside the ring.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Eli Drake with an electric chair that has Balor rolling at our feet!

[Corey Graves]
Things are getting out of hand fast.

Eli gets back up to his feet. He turns around to sees Finn crawling, but we can tell by the look of Eli's face he is not done with the Elite Champion, Finn Balor. he moves closer and begins throwing punch after punch to Finn's face, but he appears to be reaching out for something out of camera frame. Finn hits Eli in the head with the Elite championship. Eli stumbles back onto his feet grabbing his head. Just as The Switchblades were ready to get involved and help their brother, Finn proves why he's "Elite" using that very proof to turn the tide in his favor. Dean & Sami decide Sydal hasn't had enough and start to slowly pull him to his feet as we cut back to the actions at ringside where Eli's had enough time to come to his senses we see Finn running full speed with the title up ready to bash Eli's head, but Eli ducks underneath then he turns around, and tackles Finn to the ground then goes right back to work on Finn's face.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Eli Drake is on a mission, and that mission is to prove why HE should be Elite Champion by letting the current holder of that title have "it."

[Corey Graves]
Speaking of letting someone have it, The Switchblades are about to give even more of "it" to The Golden One.

Sami holds Matt's arms behind his back and Dean begins to fire away with punches to Sydal, as we see Eli out of the corner of the camera raising The Elite Championship over Finn Balor's body. Thoroughly satisfied with taking Finn out Eli takes time to gloat when suddenly...

XWL Anarchy: 10/2/2017 - 10/9/2017 - Page 2 Outside%2BSuperman%2BPunch

SUPERMAN PUNCH TO ELI DRAKE! Just like on "The Fact of Life" two weeks ago, Roman Reigns silences the Namer of Dummies with a devastating Superman Punch to the jaw! Sydal's on spaghetti legs, dazed from the onslaught of fists that have come his way, Sami thrusts Matt into Dean's grasp hooking him for Dirty Deeds...

The theme of the leader of the Cenation comes over the airways, stopping the Switchblades in their tracks. Roman's too busy standing over a crawling Eli to care about what's going down in the ring, his focus isn't The Switchblades or the sudden arrival of Cena, it's solely on Eli Drake & Finn Balor. Cena comes barreling out from the back, charging down the ramp.

[Mauro Ranallo]
The tide is about to get shifted, Corey!

[Corey Graves]
It'll still be practically two on one! You can't be serious!

TOh, but he was serious. Cena comes down the ramp in a sprint, sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. As he does, the two members of the Club go to swing but Cena ducks them, running and bouncing off the ropes. As he comes back he dives into the duo, knocking them to the mat. Cena jumps back to his feet, Ambrose meeting him there. Cena is quicker, knocking Ambrose back into the corner. After doing so he turns right around into Callihan who he ducks under. As Callihan spins back around towards Cena, Cena kicks him in the gut and suplexes him. This causes Callihan to roll under the bottom rope, still holding onto the ropes and not falling out of the ring.

[Corey Graves]
How is he doing this!?

[Mauro Ranallo]
Cena is going wild in the ring right now! But here comes Ambrose!

TCena turns around into Ambrose who kicks him square in the gut. Ambrose then goes to hook the arms, trying a quick Dirty Deeds but is shoved off by Cena. Ambrose falls back onto the second rope, rebounding back into Cena, looking for a clothesline. Cena ducks it though, picking Ambrose up off the ground into his infamous back spinning sit out bomb. Otherwise known as the Proto-Bomb, Cena plants Ambrose in the middle of the ring, jumping up and throwing his hand up for the always awaited five knuckle shuffle.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Not so fast!

As Cena does, out of nowhere comes Sydal, stepping over Ambrose and flipping backward, landing a standing shooting star press onto him. One of his signature maneuvers, Sydal jumps back up, holding his chest, feeling the comeback he just made. He turns to Cena and yells at him "That's how you do it!" slapping his own chest. Cena nods, smirking almost at the fact that Sydal got to get a little bit of revenge but that is short lived as Callihan comes crashing into Cena, knocking him to the mat. Callihan is on top of Cena in a second, followed by Sydal being pummeled by Dean.

[Corey Graves]
Just when you think all hope isn't lost, The Bullet Club remind us why they have been so dominant since their formation in XWL.

[Mauro Ranallo]
I wouldn't count a bunch of ambushes as dominance personally.

[Corey Graves]
What do you call it then? They're picking apart anyone that gets on their bad side and it's without fail, as we see before us.

[Mauro Ranallo]
I'd call what Roman Reigns is about to do a sure sign of dominance.

Roman looks at the downed champion and motions his right hand in the shape of a gun, "shooting" the Elite Champion before hitting another Superman Punch as Eli Drake tries to get to his feet, leaving him draped over the barricade! Roman has a bit of a smirk on his lips as he steps back, staring a hole through the near-unconscious Drake. Roman cracks his neck before unleashing a mighty roar of battle!

XWL Anarchy: 10/2/2017 - 10/9/2017 - Page 2 Tumblr_mvaoawuDRi1slwl4ko1_250

Roman charges in, but as he does...out of nowhere Balor gets back into the mix with a double dropkick to Roman thrusting him further than he was going on his own, right into Eli...AND THEY BOTH CRASH THROUGH THE BARRICADE WITH THE DOUBLE DROPKICK ASSISTED SPEAR!

[Mauro Ranallo]
Mama Mia talk about seizing an opportunity!

[Corey Graves]
There's so much action out here I can barely keep track of it all!

With the control of this brawl being regained by The Bullet Club, the theme of the Leader of the Bullet Club echoes throughout the arena, causing boos to rain down from anyone and everyone who has disdain for the Bullet Club or for Styles personally. A few moments pass before Styles emerges from behind the curtain, doing his usual theatrics which causes him to draw the ire of the live audience in attendance.

[Corey Graves]
And here he is, the man that made this incredible union responble, AJ Styles!

[Mauro Ranallo]
No surprise he waits until everyone's down to get involved...

[Corey Graves]
Or maybe he's simply out here to celebrate his brothers' conquest, ever think about that?

[Mauro Ranallo]
I know better than to think he's simply out here for that.

He begins his descent down the entrance ramp, wanting a piece of this brawl, more specifically, a piece of John Cena before their encounter at Roulette. About halfway down the ramp, he's stopped in his tracks and sent into the nearby barricade guarding either side of the ramp by the third member of that match, The Miz. Styles, now in a slumped position, holds his lower back as The Miz begins unloading stomps and kicks towards his fallen adversary. He lifts him back up to his feet and without hesitation, throws him into the opposite barricade, ensuring that Styles won't be a factor in the brawl that's currently happening in the ring.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Where in the hell did The Miz come from?!

[Corey Graves]
Looks like he's not sitting this one out, no surprise I suppose since he and Sydal seem to be a budding new friendship in recent months.

[Mauro Ranallo]
But Cena however is FAR from his friend.

The Miz, putting his business with Styles on hold, turns his attention to the ring, making a beeline towards it in an attempt to turn the tide of the fight against the Bullet Club. He slides into the ring, ducking a stray forearm from Callihan, going right for Ambrose with a flurry of punches. Callihan, not having any of The Miz's nonsense, pulls him off of his partner but before he could get an ounce of offense in, The Miz continues his array of punches, now directing them at Switchblade #2, catching Callihan off guard and forcing him into a defensive position. It is now Ambrose that comes in for the save but all he gets for his efforts is a kick that's a little below the belt, sending the Lunatic Fringe down to his knees, firmly grasping his personal little inmates in an attempt to soothe the pain after The Miz essentially put them on death row.  He turns back around to Callihan, ducking an incoming right and putting himself behind the Switchblade while wrapping his arm around his neck, dropping him back first across his own knee before transitioning into a Neckbreaker, sending Callihan to the canvas.

[Mauro Ranallo]
The Miz is clearing house!

[Corey Graves]
He's had his own issues with The Bullet Club so either this is Miz coming to the aid of the only allies he may have, or it's Miz taking this opportunity to give them a bit of payback for what they've done to him.

This would be a good time for Balor to come to the aid of his brothers, but he's too busy stalking Eli Drake to notice that anything isn't going in their favor, after all the last music he heard was AJ's. Stumbling over the debris of the barricade, Eli's back to his feet and immediately met by a barrage of strikes from Balor, he's too loopy to even know where he is that he starts heading to the left of the crowd. The Elite Champion starts to pursue him as their path was directed toward the stage, but he is attacked from behind by The Big Dog, Roman Reigns.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Roman Reigns is back in this, taking the fight to Balor.

[Corey Graves]
A lucky break for Eli Drake, look at him he's stumbling over to the stage, trying to get the hell out of here he's had enough after that spear through the barricade.

Finn and Roman begin to go back and forth with big strikes to one another. A series of shots that has both men reaching the stage, where the dazed Eli Drake is standing....ready to FLY?! Roman and Finn look up to see Eli soaring into a flying blockbuster planting both men on the concrete. Drake then taunts the crowd and begins stomping at his opposition.

[Corey Graves]
Is he insane, he was just driven through the barricade a couple minutes ago, and now...HE'S SOARING OFF THE STAGE?! Does he want to be "Elite" that bad?

[Mauro Ranallo]
With Eli losing tonight's match to Matt Sydal, he's out to prove a point, and I think that was the exclamation mark to that point.

While all of the chaos was taking place near the stage, back in the ring Miz now has turned his attention to Ambrose once more, he wraps his arm around a vulnerable Dean Ambrose, driving him into the canvas with a Snap DDT. Bringing the momentum to his corner, The Miz begins to showboat towards the live audience in attendance, some cheering him for taking the fight to the Switchblades while the others boo him for simply being The Miz. This doesn't seem to affect him, quickly turning his attention back towards the task at hand, both the Switchblades now on their knees a few feet apart with The Miz standing between them. He raises an arm up to either member, each hand in the shape of a gun, almost mocking them before he pulls the proverbial trigger and begins unloading kicks into the chest of both men.The live audience in attendance instinctively joins in, chanting “Yes!” with each kick that connects, The Miz's left leg being directed at Ambrose, who is on his right, while his right leg is being directed at Callihan, who is on his left. Each kick finds its mark with ease as time almost stands still for the Switchblades, The Miz's offense seeming unending for a few more moments until he puts his kicks on hold, taking a few steps back before charging forward, ready to go for the finishing blow. Not about to give The Miz this opportunity, Callihan ducks under the incoming kick and rolls out of the ring, Ambrose quickly following suit, leaving The Miz standing in the ring.

[Corey Graves]
The Switchblades have had enough, and I for one agree with them, the end of tonight's show has been utter chaos and look at Eli Drake, he's not letting that insane blockbuster be the end, he's still not done!

[Mauro Ranallo]
Finn and Roman are using each other to stand up, they're so spent they can't stand on their own, this is the exhaustion factor setting in, how much longer can any of them last?

Finn and Roman begin to stir and make it back to their feet as Eli continues to try and keep them down. Both men eventually make it back to their feet as Finn crawls onto the stage and Roman & Eli continue their fight over the champion. Eli lands a hard right knocking Roman back and follows Finn onto the stage. Finn begins to land serious punches and kicks to Eli as men in suits begin to come out and break up the two. As the suited men break up the two heated men, Roman Reigns flies from out of camera view and begins laying into Finn Balor. As a result, Balor breaks free from the others and begins fighting back. Eli then breaks free and joins the all-out brawl. Security guards begin to pour out from the back as the men are separated from each other. As the security guards break them up, Eli shows the ultimate form of disrespect to Roman as he spits in his eyes. Roman gets even more heated as the security guards are all holding the three men back and keeping them locked.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Security finally stepping into the brawl between Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, and Eli Drake that started right in front of us and lead all the way to the stage.

[Corey Graves]
The only word to describe what we've seen following The Main-Event was literal Anarchy.

The Switchblades have regrouped with Styles while The Miz notices that one of his opponents at Roulette is still in the ring, slowly making his way up to his feet. The Miz turns his attention towards Cena, who is using the ring ropes to pull himself up while The Miz leans forward, throwing his arms back, ready to send Cena back to the canvas with his finishing maneuver: The Skull Crushing Finale. Sydal notices this and quickly goes to put a stop to it. He makes a beeline towards The Miz, trying to talk some sense into him and telling him that Cena isn't his target tonight, the Bullet Club is.

[Mauro Ranallo]
And it might not be over...

[Corey Graves]
You know a situation is bad when Matt Sydal of all people is playing peacekeeper.

After a few moments of contemplating his decision, The Miz nods and take a step back, letting Cena properly make it to his feet while Sydal tries to keep the already combustible elements in John Cena and The Miz from igniting. He is shown mouthing something towards both men, which can only be assumed to be a temporary alliance of sorts until Roulette. The Miz begrudgingly accepts and uncharacteristically extends his arm towards Cena, causing the Leader of the Cenation to look at Sydal, unsure if this is a genuine offer from The Miz, who is heard shouting, “Just shake my damn hand already!” Cena does eventually extend his arm, engaging in a handshake, but it was almost too good to be true as the last time Cena trusted The Miz, he ended up getting stabbed in the back and with that in the back of his mind, Cena pulls The Miz towards him, lifting him up to his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Cena's looking for The AA!

[Corey Graves]
The Miz just tried to shake your hand and you're going to try and cheap shot him like this? And people wonder why The Miz betrayed him at Cyberslam!

The Miz manages to escape Cena's grasp, sliding down behind him and locking him in a Full Nelson, but before he could sweep the leg, Cena drops down to a knee and with as much force as he could muster, sends The Miz rolling forward as both men engage in a staredown while Sydal is heard shouting, “No! Enough!” doing his best to play peacekeeper while Styles and The Switchblades look on from the ramp, laughing at Sydal's futile attempt to put two bitter rivals on the same page for a few more weeks.

[Mauro Ranallo]
With Sydal desperate for allies at this point, can he be the glue that holds The Miz & John Cena together?

[Corey Graves]
I'm gonna say a hard no on that one, they may have a common enemy in The Bullet Club, but I'd say they're too much of an enemy to each other to ever be on the same page.

[Mauro Ranallo]
Well if there was ever hope in an alliance being formed to fend off The Bullet Club, this might be as close as we'll get.

[Corey Graves]
It's going to take a lot more than "hope" if THIS is the best we've got against The Bullet Club.

The last image shown before tonight's Anarchy comes to an end is Cena and The Miz standing face to face while Sydal tries his best to keep them from tearing each other.
