XWL Breakdown: 7/25/2014 - 8/1/2014

With last night behind us, the decisions that YOU made not only impacted championship matches, and bitter rivalries...it created a rift between XWL's resident dancing duo, Fandango and Layla. For when he met CM Punk in a rematch from their battle at Supremacy, you had the task of deciding what would be a stake. Would Punk's Money in The Bank contract be on the line? Would Layla go to the winner? Or, would the winner take the contract, and the loser the girl? The choice was obvious, and you made it. Fandango had to decide between carrying on his undefeated streak, or keeping his lay-day by his side. Though conflicted at first, Fandango made the judgment call to go for the pin...but he wasted too much time thinking it over and that allowed CM Punk enough time to recover and find the strength to kick out. Hurt by his choice, Layla didn't hide her feelings in the slightest, screaming, on the verge of tears, that were masked by her anger. Fandango tried to smooth things over, but wasted precious time tending to Layla's emotional outrage. Ultimately giving CM Punk the opening he needed to defeat Fandango just seconds later, and have his revenge. Though Fandango by all intensive purposes "won" Layla in his loss, does she still want to be with him? The recap ends, and standing in front of us, is none other than Tom Phillips.  




[Tom Phillips]
Ladies and gentlemen, as always I'm Tom Phillips and welcome back to tonight's exciting fallout of Digital Decision. Let's not waste any time, you saw the footage, I saw the footage, so please welcome my guests at this time, Fandango and Layla.

Despite the events that transpired, Fandango's demeanor is no different than it normally is. Whirling himself over to Tom's side like a mini tornado that hadn't yet had a chance to get more than one full rotation behind it. He runs his hands down his chest, to this abs, and back up...presenting himself to the camera, to Tom, whether he wants him to be that close or not...and the world. But where we do see a difference however, is the arrival of Layla, which is quite simply put, simple. No flash, no over the top feel about it. She just walks on from the other side and joins Tom. Clearly there is some distance between these two, and not just because Tom's in the middle, but because of what went down at Digital Decision.

[Tom Phillips]
As the whole world saw last night you Fandango had your undefeated streak ended by CM Punk, the man you defeated last month. Tell me what's on your mind coming off your first loss?


Saving the theatrics for another time, Fandango places his hands on his hips, seems like he's going to take this seriously, maybe underneath all of that...weird...there lies a man that can strip all of that down and just be dare I say, normal?  



[Fandango]
Well I don't mean to be, Frank...about it, Tom...but if you ask Faaan...daaaango, he'd tell you that he doesn't feel, like a loser. Because unlike some little case that probably doesn't even have a real contract inside...of it. He's got a guaranteed sweet thaaaaang...by his side, the lovely Ms. Lay..laaah.


Flattery will get you everywhere, or at least...that's usually the case, but according to Layla's expression, she's not gushing over his sweet words. Noticing that Layla isn't too impressed with Fandango's perhaps attempt at smoothing things over with his lady, Tom turns to her.

[Tom Phillips]
Layla you were pretty vocal about not agreeing with Fandango's decision to accept this match, having seen how it turned out, do you stand by that disapproval?



[Layla]
What kind of stupid question is that? Of course I do, I was right. Do you see a Money in The Bank briefcase right now? Oh, you don't? Well according to a certain someone's actions last night, he sure wishes there was, and that I wasn't. Isn't that right, baby?


Don't be fooled by the use of the usually adoration filled word that is "baby." The tone in Layla's voice is not at all sincere, meant with love, or any sort of genuine quality. Quite bluntly put, she's pissed off and she's not hiding it.

[Fandango]
Sweetie, dear...I uh, I don't know what you mean honey.

[Layla]
Oh you don't? Here, let me help you out there, babe.

Oh boy, what did Tom get himself in the middle of? Layla's about to let Fandango have it, and either he's being coy trying to play it cool and not see that Layla's upset...or he legitimately is clueless. Which, is highly likely, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt here, since Layla obviously isn't.  



[Layla]
So, two months ago you approached me, said I was the one that makes the bees get the honey, that blooms the flowers or some crap like that...and you give me this amazing dress, which in hindsight, probably wasn't even made specifically for me like you lead me to believe. But I said yes, I gave it a go, and to my surprise, there was something there. Maybe my desire to dance coming back to me after all these years, I don't know.


Preparing himself for a long winded rant, Fandango grins and bears it, even though someone in his shoes right about now would probably just leave and let her continue on her tangent because she wouldn't even notice he wasn't there anymore. So maybe he gets points for sticking around? No? Yes? Does he really have a chance of winning this anyways? He's guilty, he screwed up, either by choosing the case, or not choosing it soon enough so he could be here right now with it, and not getting his head torn off slowly by an angry Brit.  



[Layla]
So what do I do? I say Layla, you can either give this guy a chance, or be on your merry way. I expected this to be a one night thing, he'd dump me like he did Lillian in his return, and Summer before it...but still, foolishly...I believed there was something more to this, that I should ride this out and just, immerse myself in what opportunities this could bring my way. What happens the next week? Oh, some halitosis having Punk sticks his tongue down my throat for the longest thirty seconds of my life, and get this...you get mad at me. Oh I wanted it, right? You wouldn't shut up about that stupid kiss and how bad it made you look, so you had me go out there the next week, and prove my loyalty.


Oh god, is she still going? Even if he did screw the pooch so to speak, does ANYONE deserve this kind of torture? Okay, he probably does...but as a guy, don't you sympathize with him?  



[Layla]
I wanted to just forget about it and move on, but no....if I didn't prove myself to you, then apparently that was it. Which newsflash, I didn't do that because you wanted me to, that pompous ass put his hands on me, and nobody gets away with that. I even help you defeat him, and become "undefeated" in the first place, but that's not enough, is it? I showed my allegiance to you and this, whatever....this is. And how does Faaan...daaan...gooo show appreciation? By allowing himself to get beaten up by Punk the next night, ruins my Birthday the next week, and oh...accepts a match that he had no business accepting while I'm right there telling him not to. But it's okay, because he's "got this." Don't you? Or, that's what you kept telling me...that this was your way of defending me, getting revenge, for me...

Just Christ woman, just slap him and be done with it, you've been talking nonstop for like two straight minutes. Despite Fandango's failure to pick correctly, there must be something he sees in Layla to put himself through a verbal lashing like this. 



[Layla]
But this wasn't about me at all, you wanted that stupid little contract, and you were willing to throw me aside if it meant you got it! I don't know who I'm more upset with, you for lying to me, or myself for actually believing you.

Aside from Layla's huffing and puffing, the room gets quiet, Fandango's looking away from Layla, not wanting to add fuel to the bonfire that currently burns so very close to him. Tom looks at the camera hoping their time is up, but since we're still rolling this uncomfortable experience for especially him gets to continue. Who will break the silence? Did Layla get all of that out of her, or is this just the beginning? If it is, we might wanna just go to a commercial break now because this is gonna be long a night. Like a fool, Fandango turns towards Layla, to see if the ghost is clear, if she's done, if she's calmed down...and there he sees Layla's eyes glaring at him. She watched for him to turn around that entire time, and now that he has, he sure as hell wishes he didn't.  



[Layla]
Well? Don't you have anything to say to me?

What the hell is he supposed to say? That she's right? That he did go for the opportunity, even if it meant she'd no longer be at his side? Can she really say she wouldn't have done the same? Of course any man in this situation knows that if he even dared to say something like that, it'd be like Fandango just declared world war three. No, he should just bite his tongue and not say a word...but dammit what the hell is he doing? No Tom...you're supposed to be his brother in arms, you know he shouldn't say something, WHY ARE YOU MOVING THE MIC TO HIM?! To the male viewers right now, it's as if we're watching a horror movie that has us shouting "NO! Don't do it!" because we know what's waiting for them.



[Fandango]
Darling, that's...that's not true.

Oh god, why did you say something, bad Fandango, BAD!

[Layla]
Oh, so I'm the liar?

Just as we expected, the choice to speak, was the wrong choice to make...Layla's now taking exception to the incredibly few words that he even said, and is now twisting them into something he didn't even mean for her to think.

[Fandango]
N.....o?

Dear god man, have you learned nothing?! Don't say anything else, for the love of Pete...don't say another word!

[Layla]
You don't know? You have some nerve calling me a liar after that stunt you pulled last night! That's it, I'm a professional so I will do my job tonight, but starting right now I am not saying another word to you!

The all too famed "silent treatment" ah, a classic...

[Layla]
So Tom, how are you doing?

Changing the subject, and acting like someone isn't there by paying attention to someone you wouldn't normally pay it to....also a classic! Tom clearly doesn't want to be involved in this, but it's his job to interact with the talent, so against his better judgment, he replies.



[Tom Phillips]
Well, I was running a little late earlier so I was speeding for a moment to pass up this truck that was holding up my lane...and a cop ends up flashing his lights, he stops me...but to my luck, he actually recognized me! It was so cool, I had never been recognized before, and he was like-

Like a bitch, Layla snatches hold of the microphone, leading Tom's hand over to her, and interrupting his story. She didn't actually care, and Tom now realizes that and mentally kicks himself for believing that she in fact did.



[Layla]
Uh-huh, that's nice...if you see Fandango tell him I'll see him out there.

Ouch, she didn't even correctly pronounce his name, that hurts. Leaving immediately, Fandango and Tom share a unified sigh of relief. That was certainly fun, wasn't it? Layla's off to do whatever, but she said she'll see him out there later, so is she not as mad as she seems? Or, is she just adhering to the agreement that she'd be saddled with the loser of last nights match, and nothing more? After he's sure that Layla is far out of distance, and can't hear him...Fandango leans in a bit and responds. 

[Fandango]
It's Faaaaaan....Daaaaaaan.....Gooooo....

You sure showed her, I mean he waited until she walked away, but that was probably the wisest decision he's made.  

[Tom Phillips]
So, tonight you go one on one with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin,  can I get your thoughts on that?

Slowly inching closer to the mic, giving it no personal space of it's own, proving it is no exception from anybody else around here.  



[Fandango]
What?

Funny! Because that's Austin's catch phrase, and he's using it because he was asked about him, oh Fandango you card.  

[Tom Phillips]
Clever, but coming off your first loss, obviously a win is very important, do you think you can pull out a victory?

[Fandango]
What?

He did it again, that was also funny, not as funny, but hey he's probably just trying to lighten the mood after Layla completely wrecked it. Or he's just be his usual, weird...self.  

[Tom Phillips]
Yes, that's what he usually says, but really how good do you think your chances are?

[Fandango]
...Whaaat?

[Tom Phillips]
Do you think you can beat him?

[Fandango]
What?

[Tom Phillips]
Do you-

[Fandango]

[Tom Phillips]

Can defeat Steve Austin here tonight?



[Fandango]
I think the better question, is do you think, Mister Stone Caaawld...can defeat me, here tonight?

[Tom Phillips]

[Fandango]
Exactly, Stay Frosty...


In true Fandango fashion, his hand rubs against Tom's face, then he begins to slowly back away off the screen, waving his fingers at Tom in a well, just plain weird way. At last Tom's torture is over, he is free, he had to deal with couples drama, and Fandango being....Fandango...but now he's free, thank god almighty he is free at last! Taking his first seconds of freedom to sigh, Tom wipes away imaginary sweat away from his forehead and flicks it away as this segment comes to a end.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Raven"

The camera pans out to show Raven sitting on the steps beside the interviewer.

Interviewer
"Raven, you have just defeated Rob Van Dam in one on one competition, but it was far from a clean victory. We all saw the use of the chair and the blatant attacks on the referee from behind. What do you have to say?"

Raven
"Mahatma Gandhi once said, 'It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.' Well there is certainly violence in what heart I have left.



Raven
"Putting Rob Van Dam and myself into a match with rules was like placing two starving lions into a cage and not expecting one to maul the other. It's in our nature.



Raven
"Rob, you were always the prodigal son of extreme, while I was locked away in the basement like some deformed bastard. Hidden away from the world because I am just too ugly to be considered 'normal'.



Raven
"Violence is in my blood, as it is with you. We have both been beaten senseless. We have both beaten someone else senseless. Now, I want to see who would be beaten senseless between us. Who would be the deformed one after a war of violent hatred.



Raven
"What I propose to you is an Extreme Rules match at International Incident. An all out war between the favored son of extreme and the forgotten bastard of violence.

"We've never been friends, but truly we've never been enemies. I hope to change all of that. I hope after this we hate each other with every bone in our bodies.

Raven smiles as the camera cuts to Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole at ringside

"Did Raven just challenge RVD to an extreme rules match?! This isn't going to be pretty!"

XWL is back from commercial break and when the screen pops back on The rock back stage with a mic in his hand. And boy does he look like he has something to say.

((Michael Cole))
The Rock King, OMG King The Rock is here, we have not seen him since he got ambushed by that wicked Undertaker.

((Jerry Lawler))
I did not think he would even be here tonight after that chokeslam. I wonder what he has on his mind.

The Rock sits there in the camera, eyebrow raised like he has alot on his mind. He then takes a deep breath and begins to talk.

((The Rock))
Undertaker, I think we both know that The Rock does not like you, and he probally never will. But Undrtaker The Rock has always respected you. And respect is not something The Rock just throws around to anybody you have to earn it and that you did. But to come out and attack The Rock for reasons no one knows but your sick twisted ass mind. But Undertaker instead of chokeslaming The Rock, if you wanted a piece of The Rock all you had to do was ask, if you wanted to fight the Rock here tonight or bext week all you had to do was ask, if you wanted The rock to whoop you dead ass at International Incident all you had to do was ask.



((The Rock))
Now Undertaker this is what The Rock is going to lay down for you, either we can fight tonight, either we could fight next week or th week after or the week after, and to even spice it up we could wait until the next ppv because im sure fans would pay good money to watch The Rock beat your candy ass up and down side to side around and around that ring. Those are your choices if it was up to me we could fight anywhere any time, if you had any balls instead of the dead ones in your pants you wouldnt have droids attack me or cut the damn lights uut just to attack me, a real man would fight me straight up, but its clear thats something your not.



((The Rock))
What kind of man are you Undertaker I qatched you as I grew up I can even say you were one of my favorites, but nomore you walk around here half dead half alive what are you, with your eyes always rolled to back of your head like who does things like this.

The Rock goes into his version of Undertaker and starts to mock him.



((The Rock))
Ahhhhh Ohhh REST IN PEACE. IM THE DEAD MAN WALKING. LOOK AT ME.AHHHH



The Rock starts to make wierd noises and make faces as if he was the Undertaker.

((The Rock))
Undertaker this is what im going to do im going to go out here tonight, im going to beat the living hell out of Brock Lesnars old soft ass, Im going to do the same to my opponent next week, the week after that, and the week after that, and however long it takes until our match I will get my hands on you and when I do Im going to make sure you stay dead this time.

As Breakdown rolls on we're taken backstage where the top Diva, Stephanie McMahon, is seen roaming the halls.

Stephanie! Mrs. McMahon! Hold on a second!

McMahon turns her head and is greeted by the smiling face of Zeb Colter.

Zeb Colter
There you are, Mrs. McMahon. We've been looking all over for you! Look, we've ugh- do you have a second?

Stephanie McMahon
As a matter of fact, I do. What's on your mind Zeb?



Zeb Colter
Stephanie, you know how much Jack and myself respect you, we really do. You're doing a great job running Friday night Breakdown! But- what happened at Digital Decision, in the United States title match-

Jack Swagger
That was trash, Stephanie! And you know it.

Zeb clears his throat as Swagger gets in McMahon's face.

Jack Swagger
You saw my match against Steve Austin, I know you did. But you still made me go up first against Roman Reigns! I got TWO Stone Cold Stunners, I wasn't cleared to compete again! I did what you asked me to, Stephanie, WE did what you asked us to. So it's only right that I get another championship match . . . TONIGHT!

Zeb puts his hand on Jack's shoulder, pulling him back.

Zeb Colter
What- what he means is, Jack went undefeated in singles competition. He beat Steve Austin last week, and it wasn't fair, it wasn't just, it wasn't right, that he had to go up first against Roman Reigns. He wasn't at 100% like the others. He DESERVES another shot at the United States championship-

Swagger once again takes it upon himself to speak.

Jack Swagger
No, no I don't want the United States championship. I want the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! And I want it tonight!

Stephanie remains silent for a few moments, Colter with his head in his hands. Jack doesn't take his eyes off of her though, waiting for a response.

Stephanie McMahon
You want a World Heavyweight championship match tonight? You want to face John Cena? Hmm . . . Jack Swagger vs. John Cena for the World Heavyweight championship . . . It does have a ring to it. Like I said earlier tonight, I'm looking for a new number one contender . . . But Jack, I can't just give out championship matches. I'll tell you what, tonight, you'll go one on one with the NEW World Heavyweight champion, John Cena. And IF you can beat him . . . I'll consider you, CONSIDER, you, for a future championship match. Okay?

Swagger nods his head, letting out a small sigh.

Jack Swagger
By the time I'm done with John Cena . . . You'll be looking for TWO number one contenders.

Jack blows some air out of his nose, smirking as he and Colter exit the picture. Stephanie takes a deep breath, shaking her head and continuing off down the hallway, the segment coming to a close.

We fade back in from commercial to see an outdoor environment. The setting is a parking lot but the background we see is a forest. It is night and we can only assume this is happening live from the sky being pitch black. Street lights bring light to the empty parking lot but even with a few lights it still is a dark environment to be in. The wind is strong causing the trees to blow back and forth causing an almost relaxing mood but that mood is broken however. Soon we hear the crunching and crumbling of sticks and leafs under someone's feet and it sounds like it is coming from the forest we see ahead. Who in the XWL would be in a forest? Why would anyone want to hide in such a...a.. strange environment to say the least. The male or female that would do that clearly does not have good sense of mind behind them. Soon the crunching sounds become louder until we see a dark figure moving throughout some of the tree's. The figures shadow grows in size as it comes closer and closer out of the trees but still without them being in the light it is beyond hard to picture who this person is. That mystery is solved however as we hear the oh so familiar humming of one Candice LeRae. Of course it would be Candice LeRae, she is one of if not the craziest on the roster... but a forest? Why would LeRae be out here and not the same old boiler room she has resided in for the past few months. Is this a change of heart for her? Maybe a change for the better. Though the change is not too different as she is still wearing the face protector as we see her walk underneath one of the street lights. One thing though is different about this women. Her hair, her blonde hair is no longer there. Replacing it is her bald scalp, the black straps of the face protector shield some of the baldness that the diva has but she would probably need a dozen straps attached to the mask to cover her head. LeRae is now stopped in front of the camera and she quits whistling but then instead of talking like a normal person she begins to sing a nursery rhyme.

I went from an ugly duckling to a bear... a bear of all things... All because of that meddling bee Madison Rayne.... Now everyone has yet another reason... to sit and point fingers at me... laugh at me... pick on me... oh but not pick as in pick me for a date... I mean pick... as in make fun of... but you already know that... I have preached my sorrows to you all for months now.... I began to sound like a broken record that was forced to go on repeat.... I can't help it though... I just get a little... a little... lost for words so I just repeat and repeat and repeat until I cant repeat any longer... But it seems as though I have hit the stop button on my record player... because for the first time in months... my thoughts are clear... It's like that commercial really...

But is my mind a lie? Because I don't see a bright sunshinin' day! I see nothing but black skies! I see nothing but ugliness when I look into a mirror each day when I wake up and I am sick of it. I am tired of being the laughing stock that runs and hides so my self esteem is not hurt... You see Madison I tried a new strategy with you... I kidnapped you... Tied you up.... Had quite a bit of fun.... But for what?... My hair to go bald?... That's not fun... What that is... Is a bad plan... what that is.... is me not thinking about the in's and out's of a plan.... oh but with every mistake you are suppose to learn from it... so I thank you my sweet..sweet...Madison... because you taught me something... you taught me to never leave a scenario unfinished... you taught me to look at the plus and negatives about situations... I did not think for a second that I would be in jeopardy of losing my hair.... not one bit because I knew you would not get on my level... or so I thought... Candice starts to walk backwards laughing like a crazed person as normal. She soon steps back into the forest where she came from and we have not a clue as to where she went. Was it to find her next victim? Maybe she was looking for the screw that she has loose in her mind. Regardless of that or not we begin to fade back out to yet another commercial break.

Breakdown cuts away to the backstage area where we see Stephanie McMahon standing by the desk in her office, looking through official documents, when her office door swings open, and none other than John Cena storms in.

Stephanie appears to be confused with Cena's outburst, as does Cena himself, but he shakes it off.

Laurinaitis! I ran into John Laurinaitis, and he told me that I have a match tonight!

Stephanie McMahon
Look, I was just going to tell...

John Cena
He told me that I'd be competing against one of the all time greats, a man who has built his own legacy in this company, a man who you are heavily considering giving the opportunity of a lifetime by naming him the challenger for my World Heavyweight Championship at International Incident!... AND then he told me his name... Jack Swagger... Really?

Stephanie McMahon
I never said any of that.

John Cena
Oh really. You didn't say any of that, well I guess that makes Laurinaitis a liar then! Maybe I should teach him a lesson..

Stephanie McMahon
Well I, uh... I may have mentioned that if he somehow defeats you tonight, he could become the number one contender... But  you don't have to worry about that, John! You're the King of the Ring, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, you've achieved things that Jack Swagger could only dream of. You're the face of this company,  and let's be honest, a man like him has little to zero chance of defeating you in any type of contest.

Cena seems to be coming around to Stephanie's way of thinking as she strokes his ego.

John Cena
You know what? You're right. Jack Swagger isn't a threat to me. To be brutally honest, I didn't even realise he was signed to this company until tonight. There's no way that anyone that irrelevant can beat me. Stephanie, tonight, I'm going to make an example out of Jack Swagger. I'm going to show you, and anyone out there who thinks that they can take this championship away from me, exactly what I can do when I set my mind to it. This may have started as one of the greatest nights of Swagger's career, but by the end of the show, it'll be the worst night of his entire life!

The newly confident World Heavyweight Champion shares a satisfied grin with the Genereal Manager, but it doesn't last too long as they're interrupted by a grouchy voice.

Cena and Stephanie turn toward the door to her office to see none other than John Laurinaitis.

What are you doing here?!

John Laurinaitis
I realise that you aren't fond of me John, I'm not exactly your number one fan either, but you are an employee, and that is no way to speak to the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.

Angered by the tone Laurinaitis takes with him, Cena moves forward, the rage clearly building in his eyes, he stares down with the man infront of him before Stephanie steps in, pushing John back, trying to keep things civil, she turns to Laurinaitis.

What exactly did you want, Laurinaitis?

John Laurinaitis
I just wanted to come on over here and wish THE CHAMP, good luck in his match tonight.

Stephanie McMahon
Well... That was nice of you. Now, if you'd excuse us, we have some business we need to take care of.

John Laurinaitis
Of course, I just thought the champ would appreciate the little boost to his confidence considering the odds are so clearly stacked against him tonight.

Stephanie's interest is peaked, as is Cena's, and she quickly stops the leaving Laurinaitis.

What do you mean the odds are stacked against him?

John Laurinaitis

The expression on Stephanie's face clearly shows that she has no clue what Laurinaitis is talking about.

I have to say Stephanie, that quite unprofessional of you. With the stipulation voted into his match at Digtial Decision, Jack Swagger's victory earned him the right to complete talent control over one, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and earlier tonight, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger decided to name Stone Cold as the official special guest referee in the main event between Swagger and Cena over here.

Stephanie's jaw drops out of complete shock, while Cena appears to have lost his confidence, which has been replaced with frustration.

John Laurinaitis
Well, that's all I wanted to say, do have a nice day now, both of you.

Laurinaitis promptly makes his exit, leaving Stephanie to deal with an angry Cena as the segment cuts away.

Well, ladies and gentlemen...it appears that Alicia Fox is going to be joining us in the ring right now. This is a woman who is twenty-four hours removed from a brutal strap match. Let's take a look back now at how that brutal match ended!

AJ's head lay limp against the turnbuckle supporting it, red welts, bruises, and small cuts appearing on her tanned back as Alicia continued to rain down lashes with the belt off AJ's own shorts, tossing it into the crowd for a lucky fan to go home with a souvenir. Alicia looked back to the chair before grabbing it. As AJ began to struggle to stand, Alicia swung the chair into AJ's backside, causing the top of AJ's head to smack against the post, a disgusting thud emitting throughout the American Airlines Center.

[Jim Ross]
Oh my god! Oh my god! Her head! Stop the damn match, she could have a fractured skull!

Horrified gasps and groans emitted from the crowd as blood began to drip off of AJ's head down onto the apron, Alicia seemingly remorseless in her actions as she smacked the top turnbuckle above AJ's bleeding, broken body.

ALICIA FOX: 1
AJ LEE: 0

Walking over and straining to touch the top turnbuckle to the left of AJ, Alicia finally was able to reach a long leg out, touching it with her tippy-toes.

ALICIA FOX: 2

Actually skipping to mock the currently lifeless Diva, she skipped over to the turnbuckle north of where AJ was cuffed, smacking it as well.

Just end the match so AJ can get a doctor, damn it!

Alicia strained to try and drag AJ's broken, lifeless form towards the final turnbuckle. Finally, with one last hard pull, she actually pulled AJ's wrists from her restraints, the cuffs breaking and causing blood to trickle from her hands as well as blood pooled from the wound in her head. Satisfied, Alicia dragged AJ until she could smack the final turnbuckle, the bell ringing signifying the end of this brutal match.

With the match over, doctors and medical staff are finally able to race down to ringside, able to stop the bleeding from AJ's wounds before gently loading her onto a gourney, the last shot being of Alicia Fox celebrating on the top rope, then of AJ being wheeled to the back.

Ah, yeah...the latest medical update on AJ is that she is currently resting in a Dallas hospital, in stable condition. However, she has suffered a very serious concussion as well as a bruised collarbone, which will keep her out of action for quite a while. We at XWL only wish AJ the best in her recovery.

Alicia smirks as she is now standing in the middle of the ring, microphone in one hand, using the other to fluff up her hair before speaking.

Last night...last night I proved to not just myself, not just the fans in Dallas, but to fans around the world...that I...am always right.

Alicia's words drip of pure arrogance and cockiness as the fans boo her relentlessly, shouting chants of "Alicia sucks!" and "AJ Lee!", but the Foxy One pays no attention to their 'drivel', in her mind, and focuses on her braggadocios words as she continues.

I proved that I am always right, by destroying AJ Lee...just like I promised the XWL Universe that I would last night at Digital Decision. It was almost fitting to watch her leave the ring exactly like she did in Chicago almost a month ago...on a stretcher, hanging onto her own consciousness by a thread, a battered, broken shell of a woman...but then again, she was always a pathetic shell of a woman. She had her moment in the sun, she had her fifteen minutes of fame. But those minutes are up, and now she can go back to Jersey, and go cry to Snooki and Pauly D about how she just couldn't get the job done, about how she's just not good enough to hang with the greatest Diva in XWL history!

Now that the trash has faded back into obscurity where she belongs...Stephanie McMahon, you always want to talk about "what's best for business"? Well let's just get right down to the point. I...I am what's truly best for business, Stephanie. Paige, Layla, AJ Lee, Madison Rayne, Michelle McCool, and yes, even the Divas Champion herself, Madison Eagles. So instead of letting these idiots vote in Paige just for her to drop the ball for what...the fifth time, now? Come out here and do what's best for business. Make me the #1 Contender for the Divas Championship at International Incident, so I can take that title out of that fluke of a champion's hands and put it around the waist of the true Diva's champion, your's truly.

Alicia folds her arms over her bust as she, rather impatiently, awaits Stephanie to grace her with her presence. After a few moments, Stephanie still hasn't shown up, causing Alicia to scowl and sneer. Screaming, she slams the microphone down, walking to a corner and ripping the top turnbuckle apart, causing foam to splay out all over the ring, kicking it around the ring and dropping down to a seated position in the corner, pouting to herself childishly. Finally, Stephanie appears on the titantron.

Well, Alicia...I can't say that I haven't been impressed with you as of late. So...I'll oblige. You are officially the #1 Contender. And as the #1 Contender...I expect you to face and overcome all challenges. So right now, you will go one-on-one with...Madison Rayne.



Alicia glares at the stage as Madison Rayne comes out, doing her queen wave before flashing a grin towards Alicia, who is still shooting daggers at XWL's "Killer Queen", and the woman who shaved Candice LeRae bald last night as we cut to a quick commercial break.

We're back live on XWL Breakdown with Madison Rayne and Alicia Fox currently duking it out in the ring. Alicia goes to kick Madison's head off as she lays in the corner, but Rayne ducks, causing Alicia's right leg to get hung up on the top rope! Rayne drops down, getting Alicia into a schoolgirl, picking up the three count!



Alicia pops up slamming her fists against the mat as Rayne escapes the tantrum without harm, holding her arm up in victory as Fox unzips her right boot, hopping around as she removes it, tossing it at Rayne who dodges the flying article of clothing. Alicia shouts and screams and jumps around in a fit of rage before sliding out, confronting a fan who's laughing at her, grabbing the popcorn bucket he's holding and tossing it aside, causing the buttery snack to fly across the ringside area. Alicia sits in the corner of the barricade, rocking back and forth with her right hand's nails in her mouth as XWL fades into its next segment.

The crowd goes wild as Goldust enters through the curtain. He points at Orton, shouting angrily as the crowd backs him up. Orton is fuming in the middle of the ring, not believing that Goldust had the nerve to interrupt him. He exits the ring and meets Goldust on the outside, but the Rhodes family members is able to get the best of him, throwing him into the barricade!!



The crowd continues to go nuts as Goldust continues to throw Orton around on the outside!!



A ref runs down the ramp to separate the two. He is able to back Goldust up and convince the painted man to enter the ring before going to check on Orton who pushes him away and charges into the ring after his attacker!!! The ref has no choice but to ring the bell, forcing the two to settle their differences the way that it's meant to be settled in this company!!

Goldust vs. Randy Orton

NORMAL MATCH

The two begin to exchange blows in the middle of the ring, back and forth, neither man refusing to give in until Orton swings at Goldust with a right hook but misses!! Goldust answers back by dropping to back and knocking Orton to the floor with a uppercut!! He goes for the pin..1…Kick out!! Goldust continues to beat on Orton for a while, holding control of the match until The Legend Killer is able to duck a clothesline!! Goldust charges again, but is brought to the mat with a scoop powerslam!! Orton pins…1… Kick out!!! Orton quickly grabs Goldust and throws him over the ropes…. Rope Hung DDT!!! Pin!!..1…2. Kick out!!!! Orton slams the mat in frustration before running the ropes, going for a clothesline but is ducked!! On the return he takes Goldust down with a thez prez, following it with an array of punches!! Goldust is able to grab ahold of Orton and spins him around so that he is on top. The painted Rhodes family member lashes out with his own set of punches on the downed Orton. He then gets to his feet and climbs to the top rope, waiting for Orton to get to his feet and.. Diving Cross body!! Goldust waits for Orton to get to his feet and…. Final Cut!!!! 1…..2….. Kick Out!!! The crowd goes wild as Goldust drags Orton into the corner and sets him up for the Shattered Dreams!! He backs up and charges!!! But Orton is able to roll out of the way!! Goldust turns around right into an Angle Slam from Orton!!!! Randy goes into the corner… Goldust is on his knees!!!… Orton charges and… Goldust just rolls out of the way of the punt!!!! So close!! Goldust turns right into a backbreaker, causing him to spin around holding his back in pain, right into an RKO!!!!!!! 1…2…3…!!!



Orton celebrates his victory as the crowd lets out a loud boo.

We then go to yet another video to hype up the Main Event!!!!!!!!

As the night carries on, Xwl returns from a commercial break. The fans all around the arena are sitting discussing the events and great matches that they have already seen so far in the evening. The cameras begin panning across the sea of fans which brings forth more than a few cheers of excitement because they know XWL is back live. As everyone suspects that something may just be about to happen a somewhat unfamiliar theme starts to play.



As the music begins to pick up there is no mistake about it, the Sinister Scotsman is back. Nothing happens for a few moments as the fans are forced to listen to the slow going music, anxiously awaiting McIntyre to emerge from behind the curtain. Eventually, as soon as the music begins to pick up a little, Drew slowly walks out. There are small portions of the audience all over the place both cheering and booing the Scotsman but the vast majority remain silent, obviously not knowing what to think or simply not caring. It doesn't matter though as Drew hasn't taken any notice of anyone but instead has his eyes focused on the ring. After a brief pause atop the ramp he begins making his way to the ring, lifting a microphone from the announcers booth before entering.



As Drew stands alone in the ring he patiently waits with an expressionless face for his music to stop. When it does and with all eyes on him, he raises the mic and speaks.

Drew McIntyre
For the benefit of those who don't know who I am, let me introduce myself. My name... Is Drew McIntyre.

As if expecting the arena to erupt in cheers Drew lowers the mic and looks to the mat, face still expressionless. After a slightly awkward silence he raises the mic again.

Drew McIntyre
What seems like a very long time ago I was once handpicked by a man named Vincent Kennedy McMahon to be a future world champion and brought into WWE at a very young age. That seems like a pretty solid platform for greatness right? Years later, anyone with that kind of start should at least have audiences know their name and react in some way to seeing them but here I am, needing to introduce myself.

Drew begins pacing back and forth in the ring, shaking the mic slightly in his hand.

Drew McIntyre
I think it goes without saying that something went wrong along the way. The silence from basically all of you says a lot, you don't care about me and honestly I don't blame you. Yes, there'll be a few of you here who genuinely don't know who I am but I'd wager that number isn't very high. I've been in this company before, in fact I was here literally just a few weeks ago. It's pretty damn obvious that you all don't care and I accept that.

After saying this he stops and looks out and all the faces staring back at him.



After another few moments of silence Drew raises the mic again.

Drew McIntyre
When I first decided that professional wrestling is what I wanted to do I was so determined, so ruthless, so relentless... I knew it would be very very hard but I didn't care. I was prepared to do absolutely anything and everything to achieve that goal and that's why I made it to WWE so quickly. Even for the first while in WWE I showed that I had what it takes and would do anything, quickly winning the Intercontinental championship and Tag Team championships. Then something went wrong.

Drew squints his face a little, thinking back at on those days then shakes it off.

Drew McIntyre
I'm not going to get into what happened because quite frankly it doesn't matter. What does matter is that I had lost the drive that I once had, the determination that I once had and the ruthlessness that made me who I am. I floated along and drifted into obscurity, waiting for a chance but the chance never came. Not too long ago I looked at myself in the mirror and I asked myself "Is this still what you wanna do with your life?" I mean I'm still young, 29, I have plenty of time to make something of myself, right? You wanna know what I did?

Drew smirks, showing the first really sign of emotion since coming out here. At this point the audience are still silent but more so now because they are entranced by what McIntyre is saying.



Drew McIntyre
I kicked a damn hole in the mirror. Wrestling is all I've ever wanted to do and I'm not going to stop until I'm the greatest superstar on the planet. Every road has its bumps and I've certainly had mine but no more am I going to allow it to keep me down! You know that determination that got me going in the first place? The ruthlessness, the aggression? It all comes back with me. Mark my words, today is a new day. Today marks the beginning of the rise of Drew McIntyre! It's time I took my place at the top!

At this point the fans are beginning to finally make some noise but just as they are starting to get going, a new theme hits the sound system and steals their attention.



Drew rolls his eyes, shrugging his shoulders and backing up into the nearest corner. The fans are all on their feet, giving Bobby Roode the ovation that McIntyre so desperately wanted. This is clearly bugging Drew as he laughs to himself, shaking his head in disgust. Finally Bobby emerges from the back, stopping at the top of the ramp to take it all in. His and Drew's eyes meet for just a brief moment, but long enough for Roode to know that he's dealing with an angry McIntyre.



Bobby circles the ring, picking up the microphone that was left for him on his way up the steel steps. He's not fooling around, no cherry picking, he gets right in Drew's face, his music dying down.

. . . Drew. Drew McIntyre . . . Yeah, I've heard of you, thought you'd be taller. I've heard the stories, just like everybody else has. Vince McMahon handpicked you to be a future World Heavyweight champion! Hmm, just looking at you here, I've gotta say, I don't see what he saw in you. Myself!? Drew, I've already been a World champion before, I've already been at the top of the mountain. Once you're there . . . Once you've felt what it's like to hold that gold in your hands, once you've felt what it's like to be the BEST, you just can't get enough. You hunger for it, Drew, it consumes you. But, you wouldn't know anything about that, now would you? No, because you've never been a World champion. You didn't live up to the hype, everything that I've heard about you, that these people have heard about you . . . It's all just a myth. But still you come out here and expect some grand entrance, you expect these people to bow down and worship you, give me a break, kid. You haven't earned that level of respect, not yet.

You come out here and you blabber on about this and that, you talk about showing no mercy. You say that, that you've got ruthless aggression, hmm. Maybe so, but I know EXACTLY what you don't have, Drew. I know EXACTLY why these people don't respect you, why you're a- well, joke. I know why you never got that shot at the World Heavyweight championship. Drew, I KNOW why, you let your wife beat you like there's no tomorrow . . . You don't have the IT factor. You don't, plain and simple. Look at me, Drew, take a good long look. I have the IT factor of professional wrestling. That's why these people love me, and it's why I love them. We're in this together, I love to wrestle and they love to watch me wrestle. John Cena, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels . . . They all have IT. Drew . . . You just- you don't. Look at yourself, you're out here talking but nothing's coming out. These people, Drew, they don't CARE! You could be gone tomorrow, and guess what? Nobody would even bat an eyelash. Bobby lowers his microphone, placing a hand on McIntyre's shoulder. Drew glares down at it, grinding his teeth as he goes to respond.

Thought I'd be taller eh?

As Drew leans away from the corner to stand upright Roode removes his hand from Drew's shoulder and backs off a little. Now standing at a good 4 or 5 inches taller than Roode he continues speaking.

Drew McIntyre
Weren't you listening to what I was saying before you decided to come out here and interrupt me? I know these people don't care about me, I know I didn't live up to the hype, it's literally what I was saying already. As for what happened? Tread lightly because it's none of your damn business.

Roode backs up even more nodding and saying "okay" with a smile slapped across his face.

Drew McIntyre
I do wish it was different though. I mean the reaction you got coming out here? I want that, and you're right you did earn it. You were a world champion after all. A world champion in the most difficult and challenging wrestling industry there is which made you the best in the world... Actually no scratch that last part. Either way the point is you are a former world champion and you have earned these people's respect.



Drew McIntyre
And now you're wanting to help me? Why would you want to do that? Maybe you're looking for a bodyguard or something, I don't know. If I didn't know any better I'd say you're doing this out of the kindness of your heart but unfortunately Robert I do know who you are, I know the type of person you can be. Still, I'd be an idiot not to accept help from a former world champion such as yourself wouldn't I?

A smile appears on Drew's face after saying this and an even bigger one on Roode's, a fair portion of the fans around the arena are also showing they like the idea with their cheers gradually getting louder.

Drew McIntyre
Alright then.

With this, Roode begins clapping a little and turns to the fans to draw a little more noise from them before turning back to Drew and extending his hand out in front of him. Ignoring Roode for now, Drew looks around at the fans for a brief minute taking in all the noise then looks down at Roode's hand and launches himself forward, catching Roode in the face with a vicious boot. All cheers grind to a halt as Roode rolls out of the ring clutching his head and are then replaced with boos as Drew follows.



Drew rolls Roode onto his back and begins raining down hard punches to his head, every hard hitting blow being heard over the crescendo of boos. With Roode trying his best to block the punches, Drew gets back to his feet and pulls Roode up with him before launching him into the barricade and continuing the punches. Roode still barely managing to block a few of the blows, Drew once again pulls him up and slams him into the barricade again, and again, and again with the back of Roode's head bouncing off it every time. After the fourth time Drew stops and takes a step back, analyzing the damage he has done before throwing his arms into the air, allowing the boos to rain down on him. As the doctor darts over to check on Bobby's condition Drew pushes him aside and viciously stamps on Roode's head. Not yet satisfied with the damage he has done Drew grabs Roode's arm and drags him over to the metal ramp and dropping him there. A minute passes as Drew stands over the seemingly lifeless body in front of him before eventually pulling Roode to his feet, hooking his arms, and swings himself backwards delivering his signature Future Shock DDT, driving Roode's head into the unforgiving steel. Finally satisfied, Drew rolls back into the ring, grabs the mic and exits again, kneeling down beside Roode. He takes a moment to catch his breath before speaking.

Drew McIntyre
I really do thank you for that. I mean talking about it is good but you know what they say, actions speak louder than words and what I just did to you... Well, lets just say the message is there. So sincerely, thank you for your help.

With that, Drew stands back up, drops the mic and raises his arms into the air taking in the jeers until they are drowned out when his music begins playing once again. Doctors rush over to help Roode as soon as Drew begins to walk away. The screen fades to black for the next segment.

Brock and Rock tussle for awhile before Brock Lesnar is able to hoist The Rock above his head and nail him with a monstrous F5.











The signature sound of a Brock Lesnar victory rings out as both Brock and Rock seem at least mildly fatigued at the conclusion of this match. Neither man backed down easily, but at the end one of them had to give in and that's exactly what's happened here.

Lesnar has won his first match back here and, despite his new-found comedic side, seems to be just as legitimate of a competitor inside the ring.

That seems to be the case. Lesnar was on top of his game here tonight.

Lesnar isn't in any mood to be celebrating, but the ref still draws him to the center of the ring for the necessary arm-raise after a victory. Brock Lesnar stands, huffing and puffing, smack in the middle of the ring and his eyes shift over to The Rock who possibly hasn't even let the fact that he came up short here tonight sink in yet because he's in a heap on the ground near the corner.

It's Angle! Angle is coming out!

Well, Angle really didn't take kindly to Lesnar's cheap shot on him and I guess he didn't think the kick to Lesnar's ribs earlier was enough.

Just as Lesnar's theme song was ringing in the ears of the XWL Universe another theme song that Lesnar is all-too-familiar with begins to sound off in the arena as the fans let out a huge pop. Lesnar knows exactly what this means and, as he's not in the perfect condition to defend himself, you have to think The Beast is a bit worried. Then again, it's Brock Lesnar and he may never be worried. Kurt takes a step onto the ramp where he shoots his eyes down at Brock and begins speaking.

Brock, Brock, Brock... you've really outdone yourself this time. So, remember how on my debut I said that I was getting back in touch with the younger generations? Well, I found this thing called the internet...

Lesnar stares Angle down and shouts inaudible things at him, but Kurt isn't fazed as the crowd is very interested in what he's got to say.

Kurt Angle
Well, I found this thing called XWL.Com and I just thought I had to tell you the people there don't seem to like you very much. Oh it's true, it's damn true!

A loud pop can be heard as many of the fans, the ones that don't like Brock Lesnar (as some actually do), know that their endless typing on their keyboards hasn't been put to waste and their savior, Kurt Angle, is going to voice their concerns when it comes to XWL Superstar, Brock Lesnar.

Actually, I prepared a slideshow to show you before I go down to the ring and kick your ass!

Brock Lesnar is heard shouting "Get your ass in here right now!" but Angle neither obliges or acknowledges that's even been said as he stands pat, whirling in his frenzy of cheers, smug as ever. Then, as Angle had promised, images begin to pop up on the screen.

This one is pretty basic, but it's true.

Lesnar is a shade of red and simply staring down Angle as if to suggest he better stop or he'll soon face the severe consequences. However, do you really think that would deter Angle?

I have a problem here because this one is implying that you ever weren't ruined. We both know that's not true, Brock.

Here's one that acknowledges my amazing charisma, but sadly my charisma hasn't rubbed off on you... yet.

Brock pretty much can't take Angle's slideshow by now especially after he just won a match as Brock Lesnar hops out of the ring and begins to slowly walk up the ramp. Kurt, still, refuses to pay him mind as he quickly shows the last picture of the showing.

And here's my personal favorite... this guy took the time out of his day to write an explicit letter detailing all of the reasons you suck.

By now, Lesnar is only a solid ten feet away as Angle's voice tails off at the very end to now come face-to-face with the behemoth that is Lesnar. Angle takes a wrestling stance while Lesnar, red in the face, prepares to lunge for him. Brock does so and takes Angle down on the ramp! Lesnar cocks back his fist as he's about to launch a huge right into Angle's face just as he did at Digital Decision, but Angle slips from under him and Lesnar drills the floor below him! Brock is stunned from the impact as Angle begins running towards the ring.

Look at Lesnar! He's even enough to make Angle run in fear.

I would run from that man too.

Kurt Angle better hope something turns his way and quick!

Kurt Angle slips into the ring where The Rock is now standing and they make awkward eye contact. Clearly, The Rock is just now recovering from his loss while Angle is in a fight of his own. Rock just stands aside clearly showing no intentions to interfere in this scuffle on either behalf... Angle pleas for The Rock to help him, but there's no give from Rocky. Then, Lesnar slides into the ring and charges for Angle. He ducks under a punch and...



Lesnar throws Angle back with a german suplex! He keeps his hands locked on Angle and rolls over before performing another one! Angle is scratching and clawing at Brock's grip to try and get free, but he can't and Lesnar knows it as he launches him back once more for a triple german suplex... Angle's own signature move! Brock gets to his feet and screams after he's just nailed Angle with this move, but Kurt takes the opportunity to roll out of the ring. Lesnar rolls out of the ring after Kurt, though, not allowing a chance for the Olympic Gold Medalist to catch his breath. Angle is on his knees and pretty much helpless for the time being, but Lesnar cares not as he lifts him to his feet and then onto his shoulders...

Oh my god. What is Brock Lesnar planning here?

I wouldn't want to find out if I was Kurt Angle!

Lesnar eyes the steel steps and it looks terrible for Angle. Lesnar has Angle stretched across his shoulders as he launches him on top of the steel steps with a scoop powerslam! Kurt falls back first onto the steel and he yelps out in obvious pain, but Brock isn't through here. The fans begin to boo as it becomes more obvious that their hero Kurt Angle won't be able to come back from this beating. They'll just have to hope he's able to show up next week. Lesnar mercilessly lifts up the damaged-goods which were once an Olympic Gold Medalist and leads him towards the corner barricade as he slams him as hard as he can into the barricade before tackling him into it as well! The barricade nearly topples over, but somehow doesn't as the fans equally gasp at the sights they've seen here.

Lesnar is a beast. There's no stopping Brock Lesnar when he's gone into a mode like this.

Angle could be broken in half! The fans are eating Lesnar alive for this.

Brock grabs a semi-conscious Kurt Angle and drags him towards the ring apron where he lifts and rolls Angle inside. Surely, he must want center-stage for the grand finale of this beating. Was it really called for, though? Lesnar got one good shot on Angle and then Angle got him back with a kick. There was really no need to go to these lengths, but nonetheless Lesnar slides into the ring and, as he stands dead-center of the ring, Brock Lesnar picks up Angle for just the move you'd expect him to...

I agree with Lawler. Angle has had enough here... he doesn't need this!

He did it! Brock Lesnar just sent Angle into another dimension!

Brock Lesnar certainly seems proud of himself with his work here on Kurt Angle while the fans seem to be the furthest from proud. Lesnar approaches The Rock, who is strangely still in the ring (then again, who wouldn't be? He gets to see the Brock Lesnar show up-close and personal!), and he begins mouthing off. The camera picks up Lesnar saying "You got off easy... this is what happens!" among many other things to The Rock. Rock doesn't seem to want any sort of confrontation because he's got an enemy of his own to worry about so he just backs off and begins to step out of the ring... When...

Undertaker!



The ever-eerie theme of The Deadman sounds off in the arena as the fans are on their feet, though booing as of late, for one of the most phenomenal performers in wrestling history. The lights flick on and Brock Lesnar is now nowhere to be found and Kurt Angle has also disappeared... all that is left is Undertaker and The Rock face to face.


Pretend Angle isn't being nosy.

You can feel the tension! After consecutive beat-downs The Rock received from the Undertaker The Rock is now face-to-face with The Undertaker!

Michael Cole
And this time the druids are nowhere to be found. It's just these two!

Jim Ross
'Taker must have heard Rock call him out on being a coward earlier in the show because he's decided to man up and meet him one on one.

The Undertaker tries to intimidate The Rock just using his eyes, but The Rock is above that. He won't fall for silly mind games like this one The Undertaker is trying to play. 'Taker, sensing this, smirks a bit in his devilish way. Then, out of nowhere, an infuriated Rock lunges forward with a punch and clocks The Undertaker in the face! 'Taker is taken aback by this and it forces him to have no time to react to what's next...


That's going to be The Undertaker, okay?

The Deadman isn't invincible after all!

The Rock is immediately satisfied by his actions, but he's not done. The Rock prances over to the downed Undertaker and begins removing an elbow pad... he runs the ropes... the fans are roaring with approval and then SLAM! The Rock drills The Undertaker with The People's Elbow! The People have what they want and it's their elbow drilling The Undertaker!

After everything 'Taker did to The Rock it was only justice that this happened.

After a shocking turn of events for The Deadman he's now the one laying unconscious in the center of the ring. Rock merely looks on as his millions root for 'Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!'



Rock's song blares throughout the PA as he's done his deed for the night. Rock smiles and raises his eyebrow to the camera now as he stands on top of the turnbuckle and we fade away into commercial...

What a segment that became... We first saw Brock defeat Rock and then we saw Angle come out and humiliate Brock... but then soon-after it was Lesnar who dehumanized Kurt Angle with an F5. Then, it wasn't done just yet.

Michael Cole
No, it wasn't. The Deadman appeared, but this time he showed up alone and that was a huge mistake. He greatly underestimated The Rock and he received a Rock Bottom AND a People's Elbow in return.

Now, we've left our viewers with two important questions. What will happen next between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle after the beating that Lesnar gave to Angle and what will become of The Undertaker after he suffered from those two devastating moves and certainly a huge loss of pride.

Last night saw your votes have an impact on a number of things, such as The Intercontinental Championship Match that saw champion Sheamus take on the challenger, Ted DiBiase. This was Ted's chance at righting the wrong that is his past, capturing the one, that got away...but the factors in this match weren't just what you could decide it would be, but a story, a much greater story that needed to be told. For Final Stand was the final night that this man, Ted DiBiase had a voice. That final defeat, that crushing humiliation that followed, silenced him, up until this point. Gradually that confidence was building back up, slowly but surely the old Ted, the focused, the ready and able to do anything man was resurfacing. Yet still, not a word had been uttered, and we weren't sure one ever would again.  

The votes were revealed, and the option that at first didn't seem as bad, quickly became the worst possible choice his former "DiBiase Posse" could have chosen. I Quit, the man that forces one man into a vocal submission, a point where he can no longer withstand the fight that he had to submit, but not by pounding the mat or kicking his leg....no, you had to say those two pride diminishing words. Footage of the match plays for us now, Ted fighting valiantly, but not enough...he'd shake his head, refuse to give up, go through the announce table, still refuse...deny the fans of what they wanted, which was him to be forced out of his self induced silence. What is a man to do when pitted against a warrior like Sheamus? No matter what you do it never seems to be enough, he never seems to lose that fighting spirit, that ability to get back up within seconds...


No doubt Ted asked himself that question throughout the match, as his chances slowly got worse until the point that he knew....with this crowd against him, the odds that were far from in his favor...that this was it, he had nothing left...no energy, the ability to fight, and one final Brogue Kick later to that tight shut jaw that hadn't uttered single sound in over one hundred days...and it was kicked wide open....releasing the grip of the silence that had bound it shut all this time, and the two words, that followed. "I......Quit....." for so long Ted had kept to himself, not let anyone know what was exactly going through his mind, where he actually stood. Yet in that moment, that was it....whether he wanted to or not, he was forced to relinquish it all...those two words, the only words Ted has spoken in months, replay for us, slowly, giving us the full effect that those words had on not only himself, but the crowd that heard it all first hand. The footage fades, and still those two words replay over and over, getting more quiet with each time until it's so quiet, that it almost can't be heard anymore. Soon our visual needs are met by a change in scenery, the current crowd here in Oklahoma City. They too just saw that recap, and they're like Ted once himself, speechless...whether you like the guy or not, that was a powerful moment, because you saw a man lose his power, that right to silence was taken from him...was it too far? Should Stephanie have not allowed a stipulation that required Ted to break his silence? Or is that just another price you have to pay for getting into this business, losing yourself...and sometimes the ability to do, think, and say...or not say...whatever you want.  



Johnny Gargano's theme fills the arena, and we all know what that means, last night wasn't a good night for The Whole Shebang, so no doubt he and his buddies are coming out to to downplay all of it. But one thing that cannot be an afterthought in the mind of anyone, is the fact that Ted's silence was broken, and he said those two ego crushing words, I Quit. Not long after Johnny's theme starts, he walks out from behind the curtain, not lacking in the confidence department by the looks of things. His arms are spread wide, and he stops just at the top of the stage and turns around, motions for all eyes to look his way. Out next is "The Problem Solver" that wasn't able to solve his problem with Shinsuke Nakamura last night. Tomko's got a scar on his forehead from when he was stitched up after The Japanese Death Match. He's gott be hurting, that's for certain...but he doesn't let it show. Next out behind him, is Ted DiBiase himself, not oozing arrogance like his fellow partners, he's quiet...he's serious, he's not looking around at the audience or paying anything any sort of attention. It's as if he's in his own world, perhaps a world where he wasn't forced to break his silence.

There they are, The Whole Shebang. I don't even know what they can say after last night, that was not a good night for them, especially not for Ted.

The fans held the control last night, and their decision heavily impacted the outcome of the evens that transpired. Ted was put into a position he no doubt didn't like, and Tomko...well, the wound on his forehead says it all.

So they had a bad night, everyone has a bad night. But you get back up, you dust yourself off, and you move on.

All three men head down the ramp in unison, ignoring the crowd, setting their sights on the ring, and no doubt a couple of microphones to get some things off their chests. The question is, will one of those microphones now go to Ted, or is he still going to be the quiet one of the group? Wasting no time at all, they quickly reach the end of the ramp, and together they climb up onto the apron. Tomko places his foot on the bottom rope, raising the middle rope for his pals to go in. Quite the polite person, isn't he? Once Johnny enters, and Ted follows, Tomko joins the two in the ring. Johnny Gargano motions for Lillian to hand over her microphone through the ropes, and after contemplating it she passes it to Johnny and then takes her leave.

When you think about Digital Decision ladies and gentleman there are many things you can think about. How about the return of the three stooges known as the SHIELD? Or... or.... how about John Cena not helping Shawn Michaels? Last not forget about Madison Eagles defending her title in yet another not so stellar title match. Now let me tell you what you can forget, you can forget the fact that The Problem was not solved at Digital Decision because Naka-nota-murica got the victory over Tomko in such a....a... unjust manner. You can forget the fact that I was not even on the card and the thing you really need to think about is the fact that Teddy sai--

Without warning, Ted unexpectedly snatches the mic right out of his partner's hand, and grabs it for his own. The crowd isn't sure what to expect, Ted's only said two words in the span of hundred days, and those words weren't by his own power.  



[Ted DiBiase]
What we have here, is a failure....to communicate. See, you people have this all wrong. For months, all I've heard about is, the fact that I've not spoken a word, and many of you might wonder why that is, right? Well it's quite simple, yet apparently last night came as a surprise to you. It's true, I Quit. But that wasn't me giving up, the final hurrah of my career. When I let those two words out, that was me talking not just for the first time in quite some time...but a statement at the same time. I quit this, this whole idea that I have to be this, or I have to be that. Either I'm my father's modern day clone, or I'm some clown for comedic relief. There was never a middle ground, there was never hey, you can just be, oh...I don't know? Whatever you wanna be? A crazy ideal, isn't it? That you can be neither good, nor bad, that you can be whatever you wanna be in that moment.

See, I've been silent these three months as a learning exercise actually. Not saying a thing, I've let you determine what it is, I am. Am I good for winning, no matter how it may be? Apparently not, apparently...despite not saying a damn thing against anybody, or insulting a single person within the past oh what, a hundred days? I am still deemed a "bad guy." But why is this? Because you decide what I am? I've not crossed any hairs, I've fought...I've wrestled, I've made statements that were so loud, no words would do them justice. But that's not important, is it? You want someone to make you laugh, or be a hero all the time, or defend people that well, should be defending themselves.




[Ted DiBiase]
But the truth is, the funny truth...the ha ha, oh this is rich...truth...is that I'm your every day average guy that just so happens to be damn good at this thing you call, wrestling. It's in my blood, I give it my all every time I'm in this ring, and that...that should be speak for itself. But instead of seeing my hard work through my actions in this ring...all you've cared about, is the fact that I've chosen by my own accord, to not talk. My entire career, I've said, and done...quite frankly, what everyone else thinks I should. I came back, and people were like oh god this crap again? When will this guy be serious? So what do I do? That same night, I do something completely out of character. I attack the former World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio...instantly that enraged you. Why Ted, WHY?!

How could you do such a thing? You were supposed to be the last good guy we could depend on...but, that's just it....I was good because I did what you wanted me to, I wanted to be liked, and truth be told...we all do, somewhere inside of us want that. But as you grow in this business, you learn a very valuable lesson, which is why I'm dubbed the "experience" of this "Whole Shebang." You have to do whatever it takes to succeed in this industry. It's dog eat dog, nice guys as the saying goes, finish last. So while we may have the support, the love, the t-shirt sales and a huge advantage in voting events such as, the one you saw last night, Digital Decision....that happens once a year, what are guys like that supposed to do the other 364 days?

What I want out of this business, isn't to be somebodies puppet. I don't wanna be controlled by my father,and I don't wanna be controlled by you. Now if that makes me "evil" for wanting to be my own man, then so be it. But us, big Tomko here, The Cat's Pajamas Johnny Gargano right there, and myself...we're here to do one thing, and that's prove why we're the best. If we get a little hate along the way, great. If we get some love, cool...but the days of us wrestlers jumping at your every beckon call are coming to an end. At the end of the day, you come to see us! You don't decide what is right, and what is wrong...because in wrestling, there is neither right, nor wrong. We compete to attain success, in the form of money, acclamation, or childhood goals. We do whatever we can make those dreams come true, and that's it. You make some enemies, you make some friends, you make a name for yourself. I've wanted to be a wrestler my whole life, and I'm living that dream right now...if you wanna come along for the ride, you're more than welcome. But if wanna keep that close minded condemnation, and boo me just for the fact that I'm standing up for myself. Looking out, for what's truly best for me, then I don't want you tagging along and dragging me down. Me, Johnny, Tyson, we're ready to take this place by storm. We've got all we need, the experience...a man that can solve ANY problem, and a young gun that's trigger happy. What more could you ask for?

As Johnny Gargano takes the microphone away from his mouth to take a break talking, Tyson Tomko takes the microphone from him.

With all due respect Johnny, Teddy... I would like to have the floor for a few moments.... I'm relatively new here in XWL, but with the short amount of time I've been here I've realized a lot. This place is like prison.. You got your cliques, you have your warden, you have your security. You have the guys that don't belong here and the guys that do. You got your big, bad asses... And they say when you go to prison, you need to go find the biggest bad ass of them all...And beat the living shit out of them..... Sheamus... You... Me... Shebang Part Three... Time to show you all who the baddest of them all is..

So with the plan laid out ladies and gentlemen I think you can very well see we are not dead! Tomko and myself have held the gun to this company's head for two months now and we have just needed the ammo and now... as you can see good ol' Teddy here has brought the bullets. No more questions will be needed because after tonight you all will know that we are without a shadow of a doubt....

Johnny moves his arm up and makes his hand into a gun. He acts like he is shooting it then finishes speaking.

The Whole Shebang's attention along with the crowd in the Chesapeake Energy Arena turn to the stage as the theme music of Kofi Kingston's goes off soon following the energetic man. Kofi bounces out from the curtain looking almost over hyped for this match and his debut. Then again when you debut for the best promotion in the world you should be that hyped but none the less Johnny Gargano and the rest of the Shebang don't seem too much amused. Kingston slaps the hands of the fans then jumps up onto the apron and stares down his oppoentent which tonight is Johnny Gargano. The loud mouth Gargano looks back at Ted and Tomko then shakes his head up and down and we see Johnny mouth the words 'I got this.' which was his cue to his fellow members to exit the ring. Ted slid out of the left side of the ring while Tomko climbs over the top rope and hops down to the floor on the right side. Kingston looks at the two men on the outside then hops over the top rope and stands across the ring from Johnny. Meanwhile a refeere runs down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope then stands to his feet.

Ladies and gentlemen we are moments away from the return of Kofi Kingston in XWL.


[Michael Cole]

That's right because right now we sadly have to cut to commercial break.


[King]
But don't touch that remote because we will be back right after this commercial break!





Six minutes and 48 seconds later.

We return from commercial break to see much to everyone's suprise Kofi Kingston on his feet with Johnny Gargano on his back! Kofi standing strong begins to slap his hands together yelling out 'BOOM!' with each slap. A few boom's later Johnny begins rising to his feet and Kingston grabs Gargano and turns him around. Kofi grabs the waist of Johnny and goes for a S.O.S! Johnny spins out however and locks Kofi quickly into a full nelson. The self proclaimed "Whole Shebang" lifts Kofi Kingston in the air then flips Kingston over midair hitting a picture perfect Hurts Donut. Gargano rolls the lifeless body of Kingston over then makes the pin.

Johnny Gargano has done it! Johnny has somehow gotten the win in which seemed to come out of nowhere. Was that win what The Whole Shebang needed? A win to get them back on track could go far but it seemed like Johnny had much bigger ideas for team building as he calls for Ted and Tomko to come into the ring. The three men now stand tall in the middle of the ring but truly when you are Tyson Tomko do you ever stand short? The three men swarm Kofi Kingston but first Tomko tells the ref to leave the ring and the ref cowards and runs. Tomko then turns around and grabs Kofi and begins to lift him up slowly. Ted and Johnny stare down the seemingly hurting Kofi then Johnny raises his arm up again and delivers a gun shot then the two men charge in and Johnny goes for a superkick while Ted just rams his boot to the other side of Kingston's jaw. Tomko laughs then grabs Kingston by his dreads and lifts the man back up to his feet. Gargano slaps the taste out of Kingston's mouth then Tomko turns Kingston around then wraps his hand around the throat of Kofi. Ted laughs then points up to the sky and Tomko lifts of Kofi Kingston and dangles him in the air and laughs waiting for the command to drop Kofi.



The theme music of Xavier Wood's was not the theme music I think that Tomko was looking for but it did get Tomko to drop the man from his grasp. Xavier Woods comes bolting out of the curtain but he is not alone however! He is bring a steel chair by his side. The site of the chair makes Gargano look at his two friends and maybe it was a sense of "Lets end tonight on a high note" for Johnny but regardless he pats Tomko and Ted on the back then smirks and mumbles "Let's go" before walking backwards and sliding out of the ring. Ted and Tomko follow suit and Woods slides into the ring to help Kofi. The Whole Shebang walks around the ring then starts going up the ramp backwards so they can stare down the hurt Kofi Kingston. Xavier looks at Kofi then grips the chair and swings hitting the mat in rage at what has happened to his friend. He looks back at The Whole Shebang and then he looks at the chair. Woods seems beyond angry that the trio would continue the assault but what can you really expect out of this group? Did The Whole Shebang truly send the message that they mean business now? That answer lies in your hands viewers but one thing that is known throughout the XWL Universe is that this is not over between Wood's and The Whole Shebang.

We return from a commercial break to the tune that Fandango's always grooving to, his own. As saw earlier in the night, he's paying for his choice last night, when he tried to win his match with CM Punk knowing that if he did, his "lay-day" would have gone to Punk. A fact that has not scored him any points with Layla, quite simply put...he's in the dog house. What bearing will these events have on their performance tonight? We're about to find out because just seconds after his music begins, we see the lovely, yet obviously angry inside Layla spinning out from the back



She does a little dance for us, keeping things business as usual, but while there might be a smile on her face, it's incredibly obvious that she's not as giddy to be at Fandango's side as she has been in the past. She waves her arm out signaling his arrival, and just as we have seen him do in previous performances, he starts it in a fittingly weird way by crawling out on his hands and knees. Right as Layla's eyes are directed at Fandango, he cuts the bizarre entrance short, rising up onto his feet and walking with a purpose to the top of the ramp. However, things take a turn, for the worse...at least for him that is. When he tries to spin into place, but perhaps with his mind clouded by the things Layla said earlier, he noticeably loses his step and stumbles into his spot. Though he just messed up for the first time, that we've seen anyways...he looks out into the distance not letting himself call attention to it to those that didn't see it.


[JR]
Welcome back folks, and I don't know about you all, but I think what we just saw tells us everything. Fandango for the first time, messes up in his performance, as a self touted "Lord of Dance" he just damn near fell.

[King]
We of course saw Fandango verbally torn into by Layla backstage earlier in the show. She isn't happy with him right now, and that could be messing with Fandango's usual aura of confidence.

[Michael Cole]
Or, CM Punk stealing a victory from him last night has him off his game. Which, that win should be ex-sponged if you ask me. Fandango was trying to tend to Layla, who wouldn't stop shouting and screaming, quite frankly...he was distracted and that's appalling to see someone like CM Punk resort to such a victory as that.

[JR]
You are aware that Fandango won the same way last month, right?

[Michael Cole]
Some people think they saw a stiletto fly into the ring out of nowhere, I say they're imagining it.


[King]
No one's imagination is as wild as yours, Cole.


Fandango stands strong after slipping up, ignoring it basically...but Layla's a different story. She shields her mouth with one of her hands, noticeably laughing. It's not a "ha-ha let's laugh it off" sort of thing...it's a "ha you screwed up, serves you right you egotistical, self centered, son of a bitch." sort of laugh. It's all in the facial expressions folks, after simmering down, Fandango extends his hand to Layla, and while she did just laugh at him in a mean spirited way...she still accepts his hand, and quickly is whirled against him.




Grinding down his body, she spins back out to the other side of him, their hands still latched together. But unlike usual, she doesn't freeze into a joint pose that sees them both extend their arms out as if they were extensions of one another. I just got deep there, right? No, she immediately skips to the next step, which funny enough requires her to kick her leg up and him to catch it. How much do you wanna bet she was tempted to just straight up kick him there? Thankfully for him, she's being professional about it, bridging herself backwards in an arch.


[King]
Things seem normal enough, but I wonder if Layla's really had time to calm herself down, or if she's just going through the motions.


[Michael Cole]
Why do you have to instigate? Maybe they talked to one another when the cameras weren't around and she apologized?


[King]
She apologized?

[JR]
I believe you might have that backwards, Cole.


[Michael Cole]
No, Layla's obviously in the wrong...obviously.


[King]
Fandango risked Layla, whether you like her or not, just to win The Money in The Bank. It wasn't some heroic deed to get Punk back for something, he blatantly accepted that match just to get that case, not to be Layla's white knight.


[Michael Cole]
That's just pure speculation, sure he tried to pin CM Punk...but that's what you're supposed to do in a match.

[JR]
It's not that he tried to win, Cole...it's that he accepted the match against Layla's wishes, tried to spin it around into him doing it for her...and then it was revealed when all was said and done, that his intentions weren't so good after all.



As Fandango lifts Layla back up, them now chest to chest...his hand pulls her hair behind her ear, and he starts to lean in for a kiss...but instantly Layla swings away, bringing her hand up to her lips and blowing a kiss his way with a wink. Ouch, shot down...that can't make matters much better, right? With basically a silent "cool it" glance from Layla, followed by her smiling again...she extends her hand out for him to take. Realizing he's not going to smooth move his way back into her good graces so easily, he takes her hand and begins to lead her down the ramp, acting like the whole world didn't just see him get denied.


[King]
Okay now I feel a little bad for Fandango, ouch...


[Michael Cole]
She's the one that kissed him last night, I swear...women...


[JR]
I'm sure our female viewers appreciate that remark, Cole.

[Michael Cole]
Maybe they'll stop changing their mind and getting upset so much then.

[King]
I think you might wanna do what Fandango should have earlier, and just shut up right now.


A few steps later, while they may be walking down the ramp together, Layla's not staring at him lovingly like she typically would...she's keep it very professional, strictly professional basically. The British Beauty waits for his cue to send her spinning like a top, and once it comes, she goes twirling down the ramp like a metallic tornado that shows no signs of stopping.  




[Lillian Garcia]
The following contest is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring first, accompanied by Layla, weighing in at two hundred and forty four pounds...from....Your Hearts...and Mine....Faandango!



Boy, that was awkward for Lillian to say, wasn't it? You know, considering he wooed her on the night he returned, and then embarrassed her in front of the whole world. She's gotta be enjoying this entrance thus far, even if she did just have to say he's from such a ridiculous location. Fandango not satisfied with her introduction, spends the rest of his walk behind Layla mouthing his name to his liking. Once he finishes in an exaggerated fashion, Layla stops at the end of the ramp, posing and waiting for him to near.


[JR]
Did Lillian just say he's from...Yours Hearts...and Mine?


[King]
I need to look that up on the map, I'm pretty sure that's not a real place...

[Michael Cole]
Oh, but Parts Unknown is?


[JR]
Considering there could be parts in the world that we haven't discovered yet, I'd say so.

[Michael Cole]
Well maybe Your Hearts and Mine just hasn't been discovered yet.


[King]
I...I'm not going to even bother with that, Cole. You're just not worth the headache.


Once Fandango reaches Layla, she gives her hand to him so he may lead her to the ring like normal. However once he grabs her hand, he tries to kiss it...and Layla's not interested in even letting him do that. She swipes her hand away from him and sends herself on a rhythmical journey to the ring. Fandango follows shortly behind, mimicking her movements trying not to make people think they're not on the same page, when they clearly aren't. Layla rolls under the bottom rope, taking her position in the center of the ring, while Fandango jumps up onto the apron and stretches out against the ring post, showing off his chiseled abs. After wiggling around on the apron, and becoming more in-tune with himself than any man should ever be...Fandango turns back to Layla, gives her a wink then kicks his legs up over the top rope and dances his way to her. He brings his arms up hovering over his bent thighs right as Layla drops down into a full split. But as Fandango starts to look down to admire the "view" he's interrupted by the start of Stone Cold's theme.

[Michael Cole]
The Ballroom Brawler does it again, go Fandango!


Fandango meets The Rattlesnake with a boot to the gun, then grabs a hold him, in an attempt for a sit suplex slam, but as he lifts him, Austin knees him in the chest. Fandango loses his grip and quickly is suplexed over head by Austin instead. He holds his back in back, backing up with the referee, complaining that he's hurt. Meanwhile Layla's watching on the outside her hands under her chin, she appears to be bored. But that boredom fades the second one crowd member begins to take it upon themselves to chant "Athena!" at Layla. She turns around, rolls her eyes then turns away from them but that same fans just goes one step further shouting "You suck!" at her. During all of this Fandango kept winking in Layla's direction to get her attention, to tell her to help him out a little like she did when he beat CM Punk....but she's perhaps too distracted shouting back at the fan to notice, or she just doesn't care to help him after last night. Either way, he eventually gives up, shoving past the referee, and shouting "Layla! What the hell?!" confused by her lack of participation, she turns to him and shrugs perhaps missing the fact he was asking for her help? Whatever the case may be, she yells back "Behind you!" but it's too late! He turns around right into a kick to the gut, followed by a stunner that sends Fandango flip flopping onto the mat like a fish out of water! The crowd erupts and Layla looks away, realizing she's kind of the cause of that.  

[King]
Stunner!


[JR]
Fandango was too busy paying attention to Layla, and like last night...their miscommunication costs him.



One simple hook of the leg, and a three count later, and this match is over!  







Austin jumps to his feet in victory, and you have to believe it's got to feel good. He may have been forced to join "The Real Americans" Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, but right now he's standing victorious and that's enough to bring a little pep to his step. Fandango rolls under the bottom rope, still feeling the effects of The Stunner, hoping his lay-day will nurse his wounds...but as he stumbles to Layla, she looks at him, then turns around and starts walking away!



[JR]
Ouch! Did Fandango just lose Layla on top of losing this match?


[King]
We knew Layla was frustrated, but wow...she's leaving without him.

[Michael Cole]
We all know she'll be hanging around his arm next week  kissing him and getting all cozy in his arms.

[JR]
To you maybe, but to me...it looks like that's Layla's way of saying they're done.  



Fandango holds his jaw in pain, staring at Layla in disbelief as she heads up the ramp, and not once does she turn back. Is she just mad? Will she be back with Fandango next week? Or have we just witnessed a break-up in all of it's stages throughout tonight's edition of Breakdown? Austin continues celebrating, as we head to a commercial break wondering if this is the last we've seen of Fandango and Layla together.

Upon returning from a brief commercial break, we're taken backstage where Paige, along with an interviewer to her left, are shown standing alongside one another for a few moments. After unsuccessfully being able to regain the Divas Championship yet again, this time at Digital Decision, what's next for Paige? The interviewer nods his head before beginning to speak, bringing a start to the interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, she is the “Anti-Diva,” Paige. After being defeated by Madison Eagles at Digital Decision last night, many people believe that Eagles has had your number for the past three months, and that regardless of circumstance, she always finds a way to walk out with the Divas Championship.  Your thoughts?



{Paige}
I won't deny the facts, Eagles has managed to walk away from our encounters with the Divas Champion in her possession, but it's always something, isn't it? First, she decided to cash in after I had beaten Layla in a Submission Match at Dead Man's Hand. She took the Divas Championship from me, granted, she took the lowest of roads to attain it, but at the end of the day, she was the Divas Champion and still is.



{Paige}
Then came Supremacy, the rematch between myself and Eagles, as well as the “injury” she suffered in the weeks leading up to the Pay-Per-View. Regardless of false pretenses, Eagles once again walked out with the Divas Championship around her waist. That brings us to last night, I had the match won and the Divas Championship was ready to be around my waist once more, but due to my... “partners” distraction, I took my eyes off of the prize and was once again pinned in the center of the ring.



{Paige}
Maybe I shouldn't have lost focus from the task at hand, or maybe, Bayley shouldn't have climbed the apron and caused a distraction. Regardless of any of that, I stand here, without the Divas Championship.

Moving forward to tonight, you reignite a rivalry that has over a year of history in the making, you take on a familiar rival in Nikki Bella. Your history with Nikki is well documented, along with your former partner in Layla, the unlikely duo would go to battle for the next four months against The Bella Twins, which eventually lead to a match where the losing team would be forced to disband. You know how that night ended but is there still something you need to prove to Nikki, or yourself, as you prepare to go one on one against her later tonight?

Ever since our rivalry came to an end, every single time we've entered that ring as opponents, I get my hand raised and tonight will be no different. So no, I don't have anything to prove to Nikki, I've done what I wanted to do since I joined this company and that's become the Divas Champion, which is a lot more than I could say for Nikki since then.

Before Paige could continue, something or someone catches her attention off camera, quickly bringing a halt to the interview. Without saying a word, a man, holding a small box, walks up to Paige and hands her said box before walking off. Confusion appears on Paige's face for a moment as she watches the man disappear around a corner, slowly shifting her focus towards the box that is now in her hands. A few seconds of silence fill the interview set, the anticipation for what's inside it slowly building.

Paige places her hand on the top and slowly pulls it open, the top half of the box blocking the view of the camera. She slowly begins pulling out the contents of the box, revealing to be a purple and black headband, seemingly being specifically made for her, the person behind the gift quickly becoming apparent. Paige closes the box and looks at the headband, knowing full well that it's an apology gift from Bayley for inadvertently costing her the Divas Championship. Without saying another word, Paige walks away from the set, causing the interview to abruptly come to an end.
